  2. My name is sherie and this is my story. I met my husband 7 years ago after he came back from iraq where he was involved in a roadside bombing. After several surgeries and extensive discomfort he was sent back to the United States and at that time i met this wonderful man. After 23 years in the air force he retired and we had made our home in south Texas. About 6 months ago we were asked to move to Missouri to help out with the family farm. We sold everything and quit our jobs to move here to help. My husband has not lived around his family in over 23 years. We now live in the old family farm house that is not in great shape. We have our combined 5 kids with us in this house with four bedrooms. If there is any way you could come help us we would be very greatful.
    Thank you for reading this!!

  4. My wife and I are newly weds married for 10 months and expecting our first child, our baby boy Cassius Christopher Brown due in march 23rd of 2015. I am a hvac service technician and she is a prep cook. We have a humble very very old house on 1 acre of land. We feel very blessed and fortunate to have this home and each other. As a father and husband I must admit that I feel a little guilty and ashamed because the house is not baby proof. For example we heat our house with gas furnace and electric heaters. Please allow me to show you pictures and interview for a show it will be a great story.

  5. hi its me again I forgot to add that we also don't have a car so we walk everywhere we have to go or we try to get a ride.

  6. Hi my name is amber I am a single mother of a 4 year old son with Developmental delays and he also has a speech problem so talking with him is hard.I also have some mental problems like depression and bipolar and I have add.The house I stay in was my mom's house it got left to me and my sister when our mom passed away in 2010.it use to be a nice house but now it's just falling apart it needs a new roof it has holes in the celling from the roof leeking it has mold in my sons room and the tub is falling in.I just lost my job in oct of this year and haven't been able to find another one yet so we are living on what I get every month witch is 142 on the first of every month and we are not doing very good with that my bipolar makes it hard for me to hold a job for to long and that sucks. I would really love to have a house that I wouldn't have to worry about whats going to happen next with our house and if its going to make my son sick or not.

  7. Hey,my name is Robert and me and my family live in West Virginia. I'm a volunteer firefighter and previously worked as a underground coal miner. I had to be off for over a year after 2 knee surgeries. When I was able to return to work my job was shut down and I was laid off. My one bedroom house is not enough for me and my wife and daughter. My stepson Cameron lives with my wife's parents where he is in a wheelchair because he has cerebral palsy. Their house is wheelchair accessible. My plans were to buy some property and build a home big enough for all of us but it's just so hard and I haven't been able to do so. I watch the episodes on tv and think wow that is awesome what you guys do for people! Maybe one day we will be lucky enough for this to happen for us! Keep up the great work and God bless every one of you!

  8. Hello,

My name is Travis Price, and the reason is my mother, Barbara Shortridge. My Mother was diagnosed with that can be cured, but seems to be not going away and getting worse. For as long as I van remember we always rented house after house and I want it stopped and give something back to my mom something she deserves by putting up with and my 2 sisters all our lives. My mother is the type of person who keeps giving and giving without asking for anything back. She never has and never will which is why I am writing now. Like I said my mpm was diagnosed with cancer bout close to two years now and had two surgeries now a d still going through chemotherapy. All my life I watched my mom work as a waitress to barely get by and get us what we need. We never had really nice things go do many things growing up. Now my mom is currently married but never got a wedding nor go to a honey moon which I don't think my mom ever has gone on a honeymoon that I know of. Which she wont be able if my mom does by this 4 bed 2.5 bath that she wants. What I hope I can do to give my mom for always giving to other people and having no help in life raising her kids and living on our own is to give my mom house she no worries of payment with a big kitchen for my mom to cook in and enough room to fit my mother and her husband, her father in law, myself and my son where we all can have our own space. But mostly and more importantly a house where my mom can call her it her house not worry bout making payments to be able to go on a wonderful honeymoon and have her wedding. So please help me give something back to my mother who never ask for anything in return who deserves something in life for going through a lot of bad in her life.

  9. Hi my name is Yolanda and I am writing this on behalf of my mother, Brenda. My father was 17 when he was drafted into the Army and sent to Vietnam. By the grace of God he fought and made it back home to us only to lose his life by being in the wrong place at the wrong time, I was only 4 at the time and my mom took the insurance money she received and bought a house. As time went by things got a little rough and she could no longer afford to pay the mortgage. Our home was sold at an auction and the person that bought it allowed us to continue to stay there as renters. Time went by and my mother has been in her home for over 40 years now. The house has not been updated since it was built and the person that owns it refuses to fix anything. He says he did her a favor by letting her stay there. We have done a little fixing up here & there but it is in such disrepair. We are right now in the process of trying to purchase the house back from the person that bought it all those years ago, but it's going to need a lot of work. All the cabinets in the kitchen has doors that's missing, every window needs replacing and the floors are just horrible. We live in a very small town , where literally everybody knows your name! I would like to surprise my mother with a home makeover so she can once again enjoy living in the home she has lived in since her husband, my father passed away. Thank ya'll so much for reading our story!

  11. Hello, my name is Bobbi Kleinhans , Where do I began I guess it was when I move in with my mother after I had a coroid artery operation she lived in a 2 bedroom trailer , it wasn't to long after that that my son and his family they have 2 children became homeless so of course they moved in with us , not wanting to burden my mom I found somewhere big enough for all of us , My husband and me stayed with my son and them for about 4 months and was able to find my husband and me nice old trailer on a little lot, I am thinking finally we get to be on our own we have been married for 31 years now its our turn . " Not " first my health started really going down hill to the point of me being hospitalies 12 times in the past year ,then my husband got injured at work and can no longer work in his line work that he has been doing for the past 15 years. then My oldest daughter and her child left her husband of 8 years and moved in with us, now I am paying all her living expense on my husband workmans comp pay , then the son that I thought I got taken care of lost his job and once again was back with me and my husband now in our little 2 bedroom trailer . Now not being one to ask for help from anyone my husband and me decided that we would let them have trailer rent free and we would go and rent us a place once again . Now the floors r falling threw and I am tapped out there is nothing more I can do my husband only makes $ 10.00 per hour and like I said I don't like to ask for help and when I do ask it is always for someone else , My husband and me haven't been on any kind of government assistance since 1988 and I am thankful that My God has always been there for us and giving me the wisdom to live within our means but now I am forced to ask for help with my own medical exspenses and I cant help anyone else and yet they still ask and don't know what to do !! now I have to ask for help I can't have the kids falling threw the floors. Please Help !!

  13. HELLO EM;HE.
my name is Julia 18 years ago we moved from California to Alabama to take care of my dads home in which he bought 7 months before he passed away, I was asked to do this by my grandmother and now she has passed we tried to repair this house and it is an everyday hassle, in 2003 I finally got a job as a project safety manager at the Honda plant but my job ended and have been trying to find work since then, my husband works but he is doing all he can to make our life better in 2007 he got a blister on one of his toes and one Friday when he got home his toe exploded in my hand and pus just oozed out real bad and it had a really bad smell to it I took him to one hospital and it was full of patients and the smell of his toe would have made others worse im sure so I took him to another one nobody was there before we see a dr the nurses said it was gangrene and he was diabetic and he had to have his toe amputated so they did the surgery and told him he could go back to work the very next day- he did and he has to wear steel toed boots that rubs on his toe 4 years ago he got sick with double pneumonia he worked almost the whole week before it knocked him down I took him to the hospital and at that time we were both sick both of us with high fever and could not breathe the dr there made me mad and said it was my fault he was that sick and I could not even defend myself then they put him in the icu in a chair and let him sit there for 3 days no bed he had to yell for someone when he had to go to the bathroom he could not reach the call button and for sitting in the chair his feet swoll so bad he could not walk they did put him in a room after 3 days they kept his blood sugar down with insulin but he got real jaundice he turned really orange when they discharged him he had lost about 30lbs he was really weak but the worst he left with only a prescription for some antibiotics that's it and he got worse that same day I asked a friend of ours if she would check his blood sugar it was like 600 and she had giving him a shot to get it down the hospital knew we had no insurance or even a dr we went to so we figured they sent him home to die we now go to a free clinic where the dr (rpn)gives him insulin but his toe is not healing and now goes to a wound clinic if it don't heal he might loose his foot getting back to the house it was a fixer-upper when my dad bought it he had a vision that I don't see but for 18 years we have been trying, we have never had heat in it besides the 3 fireplacesbut one is so big it has no flue in it and it sucks all the heat out the other 2 are very smalland don't use because of the tree that overhangs the chimney's this house is over 100 years old no foundation at all the bricks was probably made in the back yard, the garage rotted out and fell down about 6 years ago, we do everything possible to make this house work but it is not going too well, with what my husband makes and the bills we have to pay sometimes there is not enough to eat with I have 5 grown kids 14 grandkids 2 great grandsons and an honorary grandson because his grandma passed just after he was born I love them all very much but they don't come around too much because it is either too cold for them or too hot last year we got on a program and they put a new roof on it it looks better but now from the rain damage the ceilings are falling in just the other day I was trying to clean and a big chunk fell and almost hit me in the head it might have killed me since it is not plaster it is called ferrin just like a cement that is the 2nd time it happened to me and because we don't have a garage anymore all my dads and my husbands tools are either in the kennel out back or in one of the rooms that the ferrin has fallen into I am sure that this house will it is going to cave in soon and we will have no place to go i know this house will not pass any inspection and the city will condemn it I know I have not been able to help too much in the community but I do take care of kids we no one has a babysitter cold and all there is more that I could tell you about this house and our family but I am not a good writer and my eyes are bad I am also a diabetic with neuropthy in my feet and diabetic retinopathy in my eyes so everything is kind of blurry right now so I will sign off for now and hope somebody reads this btw I forgot to tell you my husband and I have been together for about 38 years now he is my rock he is also Hispanic and people in our community can be racists thank you so much in advance Julia sepulveda

  14. I am asking for this makeover for my family. My mother Father and brother. My Brother was in a car accident in 2009. He was 28 and left a quadrepeligic on a ventilator. He can not move or breath on his own at all. The accident was a no fault and due to the rain.Kevin had a lot going for him. In todays society we are not set up to care for individuals with this type of severe disability. There are no facilities in our state that can care for a vent patient long term. My parents both quit work to care for him and have for 4 years. My mother has not slept in her bed in over 4 years. She slept in a chair then a cot and now a twin bed outside his door with a monitor. She can never leave his side. Medicare promised nurses 16 hours a day but can never find them or supply them. They have been through so many programs hoping for help. Moms health is suffering but never once has she ever complained or let a frown show. They desperately need a make over to separate the home so that they have some place to retreat to if and when they have help but also a place kevin can go outside of his room. He rarely leaves the room as there is no place to go to relax. This family deperatly needs your help. Located in VA

  15. Hi, my name is Sherry Cummins. I am writing on behalf of my mother, Karmin Howe. My parents have been married for 55 years. I would like to tell you about my parents. Growing up they showed us how to give and how to share and most of all how to love. My mom started the "Food for Children" Program some years ago at our church. Every Sunday after church mom, dad and other members from the church would receive donations which would allow them to go to the grocery store and buy food for the children. Every Wednesday they would bag up the food and give the bags to needy families. It started out with 10 children and grew to 64 children this last year. This was such a passion for both of them.

Over the years my dad had numerous health isses, from a triple bypass to an illeostomy to a broken back last year and this year a broken hip.

My mother is a 10 year stage 4th cancer survivor which if you asked any of her doctors, they cannot believe she is still here and believe that to be a miracle in itself. God willing mom would always say.

I tell you all this information because my dad just passed away Novenber 28th of this year from his broken hip due to a fall in the bathroom. He was in the hospital for 3 weeks and you bet my mother drove 45 minutes each way, every day to be by his side.

At the time of all of their health issues they did not have insurance. Needless to say they lost their dream house. They moved into the shoe store my mom used to run before getting the cancer. We all fixed up the house and Earl Reuter, a contracter from Versailles was instrumental in getting the shoe store turned into a home.

I am making this request because my mom does not have the money to stay in her home. At my dad's memorial, mom requested donations go to the Food for Children fund rather than herself. My mom is a very prideful person and would not ask for anything and that is why I write to you. She would like a very little house where she can keep her little dog and cat.
    Sincerely,

    Sherry Cummins

  16. Hi, I know that a lot of people come to you guys asking for help and you guys have changed people's lives with your show and that is amazing. I just thank you for getting the opportunity to tell you our story. My name is Stacey and I am currently 21 with 2 little boys and one on the way. My fiance and I live with my father in his 3 bdrm home. My dad raised me by himself most of my life and he is now 52. He served in the US Military for 6 yrs and ever since then he has been a roofer/ truck driver and his job for a long time was very physically demanding. His body is deteriorating and cannot do a lot of what he used to. He recently had ankle surgery and found out he may have permanent nerve damage in his foot. A few years ago my dad was finally able to buy us a home and we love it but it's now starting to fall apart and we cannot afford to fix it. My fiance and I have two small boys and I am currently pregnant with our third child and we want them to live in a safe, clean home. Just to name a few things wrong with the home: most of the flooring needs replacing ( the kitchen has lineolem flooring and it's very old, the master bedroom had carpet in it but we had to tear it up it was too rotten so now there is just wood and '80s lineolem in it, the living rooms have hard wood floor but are wearing out and my dads bedroom carpet is ruined), most of all the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen are unusable because they are rotten or not made well (we store our food instead of in cabinet on our kitchen table because of that), the bathroom is way too small ( the bath tub is literally 3 inches from the toilet and 3 inches from the toilet is the wall and the sink is only 3 feet or so off the floor), the foundation to the house is slipping and we can't afford to fix it. My fiance and I are in debt right now because in 2011 we lost our twin girls though a miscarriage at 18 weeks and to have a funeral we took out a loan but the interest was so high we couldn't afford it, and can't get any other loans so we cannot afford to fix the house. We love our home and don't want it to rot to the ground please help us fix it.
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you can help us-Stacey (Greenville SC)

  17. Hey there , my name is Paula and I am 18 years old. I am writing to you on the behalf of my mother and father . In September my parents and my younger sister who is 11 moved to Gray, TN from Pittsburgh,PA in hopes to finally get a fresh start. They have been living in a motor home since they moved here. While trying to fix up the trailer they bought for a low price , because its what they had . I just recently moved here with them to try and help out with getting the house ready . My mom now sleeps on the floor of the motor home because she insists I sleep in her bed . Its just been a real struggle trying to get settled . We live off of a fixed income , SSI because my dad is disabled. For now we have just been painting with paint that was donated from the neighbor and trying so hard to make do with what we have . I would really like to see my parents smile again and have a place to call home . Not an mobile home but a home where we all have a place to sleep comfortably every night and never have to worry again . Thank you for your time and consideration reading this . God bless.

  18. Good Morning!
I am writing on behalf of the people who board my horse. Currently, there is a lot to be done to the place. It was put up in a hurry and never officially "finished" Carol is one of the most loving people I know, who used to breed and race horses, but now is in retirement, and at age 66, still cleans all the stalls, stacks hay and straw, feeds and waters the barn by herself. Her barn is a 12 horse barn with many retired race horses that she raised herself. She has always been dedicated to the animals, making sure they are always healthy, have a warm, clean stall and all the hay and water they could want. If she came across a horse that did not want to run, she simply found it a new home, or her children trained them for a new career: they NEVER went to slaughter simply because she couldn't make money off them. She would rather lose money and know the horse had a good home than see it killed for no reason. She has helped many many people in our community with their horses. Helping with everything from wound/injury care, to advice about feeding, and even taking in people like myself, who had no where else to go with their horse. Currently, the barn has no electricity and only runs off of a generator. Some of the stalls need repair due to some "vibrant" horses who like to kick the walls, and we currently have no toilet, but DO have the septic system for one to be hooked up. Storage is also a problem. Our lean-to is FULL of things which gives us no offical place for tack, equipment or even a place to get warm in the winter. Our fencing is currently rail-road ties laced together, which the horses push down (on occasion), or if we get a good wind, will go down themselves. We have tried to get some hot-wires up to keep the horses away from them, but other expenses always pop up. We also have an apple orchard which is in desperate need of a good trimming. Carol currently also owns land that is all wooded, which we want to be able to use as other paddocks for the horses, in order to rotate for grass. However, we don't own the heavy equipment or have the time or money to clear a wooded area. Carol gives back so much to the people she helps, and I feel she needs some help with the property. Getting the barn back in shape, getting a round pen up to train the horses in, and getting electricity and a toilet out there. Anything to help this woman out.

  20. Dear EHM team..PLEASE help my sister and bro in law in Odessa texas. They are Sr citizens living in less than 1000sqft old house that is desperate need of repairs and updates. They cannot do this themselves or afford to hire someone. Recently my sister was hosp for an unknown cause, and I know a major reason is their worn down home. It needs a complete over haul, because I have seen possible signs of mold on the shambled and missing tiles, in kitchen, and nasty carpet. She has never had a clothes dryer because of lack of space. Washer is in the crowded kitchen…. I fear for their health, and I know they are overwhelmed with the amt of things that need attention. Bathroom, unacceptable. Everything is outdated and crowded. Bro in law has COPD and sister suffers with upper resp infections. I feel it's because of the condition of the house. They refuse fam help because they don't want to impose on our tiime and $$ to attempt to repair. … I'm desperately asking for help. Please help! They deserve much more than they live in now.

I'm 16 years old, me, my mom, my grandma, and my nephew all live in an old run down trailer thats falling apart. We recently were evicted because my mom wasn't able to pay rent due to her quadruple bypass on her heart, and isn't able to work, shes fighting for disability but we're not seeing it. 23. Ty, Long time viewer first time writer. Love your faces! Now down to the brass taxes; My name is Heather and I live with and care for 2 elderly disabled men. John owns the house we all share and has given up his bedroom to his good friend Danny Miller who had neck surgery and it left him without much use of his legs. I am writing to ask you all for help with one room in this 3 story house that was built in the 1890s. I have paid out of my own pocket to get the ceiling (which was falling in were John sleeps) redone. The only accessible bathroom for the guys to use is very small and hard to maneuver in for a young person. The shower has a step up and is right now as we speak lined with sheets of plastic so it will not continue to cause deterioration to the underlying wood. WE DESPERATELY NEED HELP WITH THIS. I am not greedy I am only asking for help with this one room. I was hoping for a wet room type thing so that when Danny does lose his legs and it is happening pretty fast, that he will be able to get a wheel chair into the bathroom. We lost our house years ago and rent is super expensive, and people won't rent to mom and dad because of so many kids. So renting a bigger house is to much rent, like $2000 a month or something. We live in a camping trailer. Dad works hard all the time at his job and mom always tries to make it happy hear.for us kids. She homeschools us and takes us to do fun things even when she doesn't feel good. We live in Washington in Graham now in my aunt's backyard. A long time ago when mom and dad were doing good my dad helped on your show for a family. We would be happy with a 3 bedroom I no because that's what mom always look to rent but people say no to many kids!!! Please help us. How do you find us? You can find my mom on Facebook. Tamera Boyd. She's so nice and just because we are broke she helps others. She says we aren't poor in God's eyes and everyone has something to give. Now I want help for her. Please. Please. Please help us

  29. Hi, my name is Danielle and I was hoping for someone to help me and my family out on a new home. This would be great for us because are house is not something anyone would want to call home, their are roaches, spiders, mice, rats, and many more critters. The air is not very pleasant, it is kinda hard to breath. In my room the walls are falling apart. We can't even have a Merry Christmas this year. We have tv's but some how roaches got inside and you can see them crawl around. Their is dog hair everywhere we want to keep are dogs outside but have only one fence and we can't put them in it together. Its not presents that I want ! for Christmas it's I want to feel like I have a home wear I can spend time with the little family I have. Its hard for us three both my uncle and grandma have I'm not sure what it is called but it's some kind of problem. My grandma gets a check every month but that just gets us a little food to keep us going. You don't know how much this would me to me to see my grandma and uncle happy. Seeing them happy would be so great. Anything other than this house would be great, if you do decide to help out the house doesn't have to be in the same place as we are now. I hope you understand how much this will mean to me to make them happy. Hope to hear from you.

  30. Dear ABC

I am a 38 years old South African mom of two young children, Thando my daughter is eleven and Tyrese my son is seven.

I feel like I have been dead for four years barely making it everyday to put one foot in front of the other for my children's sake.
My daughter turned 11 this year and I am unhappy with the kind of example to daughter.

I am a very hard working person, loyal and dedicated. Even though my single mom could not take me to tertiary, I worked very hard
and ended up as an debtor's manager for a big IT company.

In 2006 my ex husband and I decided to buy and renovate a dilapidated house and turn it into a guest house.
We both had demanding jobs. I working in the accounts department at an IT Company in Johannesburg and he in a legal practice.

By 2008 we decided that I would resign from my job and run the guest house full time.

I worked so hard that by the end of 2009 we had two guest houses one in Ga-Rankuwa, Zone 4 and the other in Sunnyside.

The following year my ex husband and I started having problems about how much time I was spending at work.
While I was working myself crazy, he found comfort in a younger woman. Months later he packed his bags and left me with my young kids.
We were married out of community of property and as a traditional man all assets including the guest houses were registered in his name as culture would have it.
He took everything and left me with the kids in our marital home.

The next three years up to June 2013 I spent most of my time in courts. For maintanance, divorce, abuse, etc. The
divorce drained me emotionally and financially. At the moment he stays with the kids because after the divorce our home was sold
and now I live with my cousin in Johannesburg.

I am ashamed to say I'm extremely suicidal at this point.I need my children back. When I see them they are extetic when Sunday
comes and they have to go back to their father and his … you would swear someone has died. We all cry uncontrolably even though
I prepare myself psycologically that I have to be strong but when Sunday comes all that goes out the window as my children are
once again snatched from me. Like any parent I wish to give them love, security and proper education. I am scared that my son might turn
out a thug or something without motherly love and guidance. His teacher has called me to say he misbehaves sometimess and she thinks
that his father does not discipline him.

I am so tired of feeling sorry for myself and jobs here are so scarce unless you know someone who knowssomeone.
I have attended dozens of interviews but with my bad luck all I get is the ''dont call us we'll call you''after an interviews.
I am tired of my children seeing me struggle. I want to work and contribute to the society.

I am a hard worker, motivated and shaped by life. I desperately need to pick up the pieces, get my children back
and feel like I am a human being again.

I am desperately hoping this year will be the last year I live like this. I'm hoping that I will have a fresh start next year.

I wrote to you to beg you to please help me build a home for my kids. I come from a struggling family and none of them can help me. It's every man for himself. Some family members enjoys seeing you living below everyone.

Should you decide to help me, I will go to any radio station, TV or newspaper and tell them about you.

Should you decide to save us from this hell, even if you gave us a single bag of cement, you would have rescued two children from a doomed future and finally let them meet the mother they lost four years ago.

Thank you for taking time to read my email and hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas and prosperous 2015.

    Yours in desperation

    Thulile Magoro

  31. Hi my name is Barbara. I am a mother of 4 children. I am from Keene NH. In 2012, I got pregnant with my 4th child. We moved to a different town to be in a bigger house. Everything was going good until i had my son on Nov 3, 2012. After going into a c-section, it was made known that my son had a heart defect called TGA. He was airlifted to another hospital where he had a 30 min sezuire. He was put in coma and than airlifted again to Boston Children Hospital where he underwent open heart surgery. We were there the month of Nov, coming home for 3 days to be rushed to a differnt hospital to have stomach surgery. The house we were living in was unheatable, forceing us to look and move again closer to a hospital. We found a great lady who owns the house. But bescuase of her age and lack of funds, the house is in need of an update. The person that did her roof last a few years ago didnt do right and now she needs a new one. Her bathroom needs to be redone, as for it is outdated and the floors need to be redone. The windows are leaking, pipes leaking.. i think if she could get a finished basement, then maybe it would heart even better. There seems to be a lack of heat going upstairs, guessing from way it is set up. I would love to ease the burden on her and help her fix this house up so i can make it our own for good. Unfortunally i do not have the means to dish out any more money to help.
thank you for reading. Barbara clift

  33. Hey my name is krista simler from Corydon Indiana. Small town USA. I am reaching out to your team and crying for help to fix this house! My father, single father of 3 kids im 21 now my older brother 23 and youngest 17 has raised us from the time we were little because my mom had choose a different life. Having said that, this has has not CHANGED in 23 years if not longer. Every new comer that has came into our home always says something about our mustard colored counter tops relating them to that 70s show. Not to mention our poop green floors and 1960s floral wall paper in the bathroom. My dad is a bachelor stuck in his own ways. When I say stuck in his own ways there are still butterfly figurines hanging on the wall! I think that this would be a perfect opportunity for my dad being that he has done a great job with his three children playing both roles of mom and dad what would be more rewarding. Also this past June he had suffered an on the job Inccident and just can't catch a break! It's time for my dad to start living his life considering he's worked his whole life for us (me, and my brothers) honestly at this point I don't think a bulldozer would change this place! lol please take us in great consideration! We want to start living in the 21st century not stuck in the stone Days! Thanks again!

  34. I would love to submit my wife Lori Harmon for a Ranch Makeover. Lori is the Founder & Director of a non-profit 501 (c) (3) Equine Alliance Youth Foundation in Paso Robles California serving children & teenagers from foster care, juvenile & mental health services free of charge. Lori trains & rehabilitates horses from abuse & neglect to provide financial support for kids in her programs. She is very giving, selfless & a hard working lady that everyone in our community adores. She is always giving from her heart no matter what comes her way & is always doing for others. She has changed so many kids lives around that have been on the wrong path. Her dream is to provide transitional housing on our property for kids that have no place to turn to when they age out of foster care as we have seen this time and time again. The majority of foster kids have no support when they "Age Out" & try to navigate the system on their own with no support. My wife is always coming to their aid assisting with housing, help & guidance. No matter what a kid has done my wife always supports them, believes in them & loves them unconditionally!
A few months ago my wife suffered a traumatic brain injury & stroke from a horse bucking her off that she was trying to help. My wife never ask for anything for herself & it would be great if you could make a dream come true for the kids that she loves & worries about.
    Sincerely,
    Tony Harmon

  36. Hi my name is Shimica Jones. I am writing on behalf of my Sister Tonya Wilson. She has been a single mom of 23 years. She raised all her children on her own. She has been sickly since the age of nine years old in and out of Dr.Offices and hospitals for tumors and cystic fibrosis. She have never been able to work due to these problems. No matter how much she has been through with her health she has always made an effort to pull herself out of bed after sleeping for days straight, trying to keep track of her four boys and make sure they walk the right path. She have two sons that have graduated high school and is now working doing local jobs to be there to help keep the house up. It just seems that there is not enough money to get things right before Christmas. She own her own home and is slowly fixing it up. When she bought the house the house was in horrible conditions. She had to get a house around that area because of her health She have numerous issues under Dr. care. Everyday is a different day. She have had over 9 surgeries for tumors and endometriosis located in various areas of her body ranging from her abdomen, female organs, bladder, colon and Dr. can't say why it happens like these but it does and it will. She have found that she has to have another for a tumor on her bladder. She was diagnosis with diabetes 17years ago and last year found that she has lupus. She have 3 school age kids still at home with her. She have a son graduating may of 2015, A son that has been training for the Olympics for track since 9th grade he is a junior this year and now he has talk of not going to be close to his mom. She needs help with her home. The youngest is her daughter is a ninth grader. Not only has she been through a lot her kids has been there to endure the pain that she has felt also. They have had to help take care of her from time to time. This family is deserving of a nice home that would be one less worry for them. The problems with the house is the flooring in the bathrooms has weakened, 2 of the rooms have to have walls replaced, right now there is a hole in the side of the wall that leads to the outside, She is currently trying to replace piping under the house, roof is leaking in the bathroom. She count this as a blessing because without having a house close to her doctor, her health could fail. My sister is one of the bravest people I know. I count her as a survivor in so many ways. As far as I could remember she has had medical issues. She has showed me how to fight, stand strong in what you believe in, and keep moving even when you no longer think you can.

  38. Hello,
My name is Kayla and I am the fifteen year old grandchild of Winnie and Edward Roybal. They have had custody of me since I was three years of age. My grandma and grandpa have always tried their very best to take care of me and do everything in their power to make me happy and to have a very good childhood. They brought me up teaching me right from wrong and to not be afraid to ask for help, and that is what I am doing.
On November 30th at 1:30 am my grandma woke up out of a dead sleep to see that there were no lights on in the house, where is she usually has nightlights turned on, she then realized we had no power. Through further investigation she woke up my grandpa and they made their way to the backyard where they saw a small flame under the heating unit. They called 911 and Grandma then rushed into my room telling me to get up and get the animals out of the house and to get in the car. Within two minuets of us all exiting the house, it went up in flames. We were all scared to death even after the firefighters came and began the agonizingly long process of putting out the fire. It took 21 firemen to put out the fire.
By this time the American Red Cross association had shown up and began to walk us through the procedure of starting our life back up.
We didn't yet realize the severity of the damage until we went to go into the house the following day. My grandfather took two steps into the house ,that was my great grandmas, and fell to his knees In tears. Everything we owned either burned into ashes or torn down by water. Pieces of what we spent years putting together across the floor of the broken home. I then began searching for anything salvageable and came across very few things, some jewelry, glasses, plates, etc. Not much but something. We are now staying in a hotel for a few weeks but after that we honestly don't know what to do. Also it being the holiday season I can tell this is going to be one of our worst Christmas's ever. Now I've written this in hopes that you maybe able to help us. I would honestly just like to see them happy for Christmas and to be able to be safe in a home that is ours. I know that there is many others that are In need and I understand that but anything that could be done to help my family in this time of need would be greatly appreciated.. They've taken care of me all my life and I feel that now it's time for me to try and return the favor. Thank you very much for taking the time to read this email.
    Yours truly,
    Kayla Truesdell

  42. My name is Michele and I'm writing on behalf of my longest and bestest friend, Lura. On November 12th 2014 her husband, of 17 years, shot her in their home where their 4 children were at too. The bullet entered her lower jaw and exited her upper back just missing her spine by less than a millimeter and her carotid artery by only a few centimeters. She is truly a walking miracle. However, it does not change the fact that she has lost her husband and her children are without their father. She is working multiple jobs and is having a hard time making ends meet. With everything that she and her kids have had to endure I do not want to see her and her children lose their home. A few years ago She had an addition put on her home but ran out of funds to complete it. She has chosen to put her room in the basement where it is cold in the winter months so that her children could have the other bedrooms in the house to which they still have to share. She has done so many good things for other people throughout her community and I just want something done for her. If circumstances had turned out otherwise she wouldn't be here today and her children would have lost both parents. Please do something to help them out. They deserve so much. Thank you!!

    God Bless,

    Michele Hayden

  45. I read the stories above, and each of them is heartwarming, and would make an excellent choice. We are really in need of something to happen for our family, as our current living situation is destroying my marriage, as well as my mothers health. Here is our story.

In October of 1999, my mother then 63 years old had a massive stroke. Her prognosis was that she would live the remainder of her life in a nursing home, in a vegetative state.

My father who mind you could not even boil water, would not hear the talk of my mother spending the remaining years of her life in a nursing home. He brought her home to their lake house. He learned all that there is to learn about keeping the home fires burning, and with his love, and ingenuity he has kept my mother from the nursing home and she has blossomed in her speech, and physical abilities. Her cognition has always been intact.

My dad lost his 25 year battle with bladder cancer in June of 2014. This was devastating to all of us but mostly to my mom. She lost the love her life, but she also was not able to stay in the home that they had built.

I knew that my dad did not want mom to be put in a nursing home. I so desired to continue to carry on his dream. I quit my job, and we moved mom and I to a small two bedroom apartment. My home, has many steps to the bathroom and bedroom areas, that prevents my mom from coming to our home. She is not able to climb the stairs. My husband and small children (11 and 9) live across town and somehow we are making this work. It is taking a toll on all of us, my mothers health seems to be declining, my husband and I seem to argue more, and well you can imagine how confusing all this is for the kids…

I would be so grateful, if Extreme Homemaker over would be able to help us put our family back under one roof.

    Thank you
    Donna

Three years ago my son was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Which is a muscle wasting disease that effects 1 in 3600 boys. My son is 8 years old and will more than like loose his mobility at 10 and will be wheelchair bound. Then the back will need surgery, (spinal Fusions and heart complications and lung function will deteriorate), when he becomes wheel chair bound, our small rental home will not accommodate his needs. I am asking this to help my precious son, this has devasated or whole family, I am terrified every single day of loosing my sweet precious boy. I work 40 hours a week to support my family, and to try and take care of my disabled son. My husband owns his won tree business and this time of year is struggle. He is an innocent child and deserves some happiness and peace!! Thank you for taking the time to read this!!!

  48. hello, i am writing to you, because I have to ask for help to keep a promise I made to my mother who has passed away in 1994, I use to live in Alabama with my grandparents and mother, I was 12 when my mother remarried, I had to watch my grandfather pass away, then watch as my grandmother grieved her self to death over the lost of my grandfather, then about a year later my mother was told she had heart trouble, they said she needed surgery, I begged her to have it , but she said she was too scared to do it , she passed away from a leaky valve on her heart, I guess she slowly bled to death , that really hurt me, when that happened I lost all of my natural family, I was left alone with a half brother and a stepfather, before my mother passed away she made me promise that no matter what , I would stay beside my stepfather and brother and take care of them, my stepfather started having problems before my mother passed away, he had memory problems, his dad died from parkinsons disease, and we thought he mite have that too, I devolped bad nerves from that situation, I finally had to get away from it all but I tried to keep my promise to my dead mother, I moved here to panama city beach florida with my brother and father, I live in a small mobile home, I worked as a security enforcement officer till my kidnies shut down and was forced to go on disability income and now have been on dyalasis for about 7 years, I hope to be able to afford to get a kidney trans plant, recently I have found out my brother has learning disibilities, he cant help me, I have to look after him, also my step father has got to were he cant walk and he has dementia, he don't even know where he is at or who he is sometime, I am trying with every thing I got to keep my promise to my mother and take care of what is left of this family, but it has cause me to have health problems myself doing it all with no friends or any one to help me , I have made myself sick and tired, I have kidney disease bought on my stress and high blood pressure, which blowed out my kidnies, and I was just tld I have belleding ulcers in my lower stomach area, long story short, I need help to fix my old mobile home, the floors need repair in some places, the electrical doesant work in some areas of the home, and my stepfather can not even take a bath because he cant get in and out of the bath tub with out some one lifts him and I cant do that now because of my dyalasis access in my arm , I desperately need a small walk in shower in my bath room so he can get in there and bath his self, I have asked every one I know to help me provide a better life and environment while keeping us together as a family, but no one cares enough about us to help us, and I don't have enough money to do it myself since no one wants to hire me with kidney failure, I lost two jobs when they find out about my dyalasis, they don't want me to risk getting sick on their time or hurting myself, that is what they tell me time after time , what am I suppose to do? I don't want to break my promise to my passed away mother, I feel like I have failed at my promise sometimes and now I have kidney problems and suffer from depression myself because of these problems I face alone , I use to not ask any one for any thing, my grandfather taught me that any thing worth having was worth working hard for, and I use to be too proud to ask for help, since I was forced into the head of the family by my grandparents and mother passing away, I have lost that pride, I am not proud of myself for nothing any more it seems, sometimes my depression gets bad and I go to beach here and just set and cry, I need help to fix my home for a nice place to live, if any one can help me , then I guess I have to ask for your help, I hope you will know I am truthful, and I want to thank you for your time , to read my letter, may god bless all who read this and keep you from having to deal with these problems that I have to deal with everyday, bill Thomas panama city beach florida

  49. I am writing on behalf of a friend, Shelly Walters. Shelly is a single mother of 3 girls, one is married. She is struggling to make ends meet after a divorce approximately 2 years ago. The other 2 girls are in college, and quite frankly, she never knows how that is going to get paid. Shelly is a very talented muralist here in the Tulsa area. She has even worked on two of the Extreme Home Makeovers that were filmed in Oklahoma. Shelly has a very bad back. She is in constant pain, but continues to do what she loves to provide for her family.

Shelly also is very involved with the youth group of our church. Her passion is to help kids in any way she can. For years, she has invested in their lives as a youth group leader and fine arts leader, counseled them at all hours of the day, rescued those who needed a place to sleep for the night, taken kids to work while interrupting her day, found jobs for them, helped decorate their weddings, etc. She has poured her life into hundreds of kids.

Now, I am asking for you to consider paying back her dedication to others. She barely stays ahead of her bills every month. Her house has so many problems that she will never afford to fix. Some of these problems are just getting worse and worse. However, she always has a smile on her face and would give the shirt off of her back for anyone at anytime. Please consider helping making her home a livable, safe place and take this load off of her shoulders, while she continues to try to help her girls get through college.

    Sincerely,
    Pam Roberts

  50. My name is Linda I am writing on my husbands behalf he is very sick these days we bought our home 10 years ago got a good start on remodeling a very small (900 sqf) home in northern California. About 4 years ago before we could finish our home he came down with heart failure and a year later his copd worsened and there is no way we will ever finish the home. I work full time just to pay the bills and make ends meet. We are not getting any younger and I am afraid he will never see the home finished. He is in and out of the hospital and my only wish is for him to have a nice comfortable home to come home to. If you can help in any way it would make me a very happy woman. Thank you for listening to my story. Linda

  51. I am writing this with a heavy heart. Our family just experienced a tragic loss over the thanksgiving holiday. Our family farm house burned and my cousin and her children lost everything. This house was built by my grandfather and his four brothers and was built for our great grandmother. It has been passed down for many generations. The walls of that house held the legacy of our family and is the only place that we consider our true home. The community support has been overwhelming and this has shown us that God can use any situation to show us his love, grace, and mercy. We are so thankful and blessed that no one was hurt. There was insurance to cover some of the expenses but my family is not financially able to rebuild and what once was is probably gone forever. We still have each other and the land is still ours but so much was lost. So many generations and so many memories…. Now there is only a pile of ashes and rubble and we have no place to rebuild what we once had. Thanksgiving has always brought is so many tragedies. My grandfather (who built the house) died on thanksgiving. My Aunt (his daughter) passed away 5 years ago on thanksgiving. And now the home that held all their memories and so much more is gone. Any consideration would mean more to use than anything in the world. Our family will never be the same without our home. Please help us. It was our place to go. Where the blackberries, honeysuckle, and wild muscadine grow. Our place to go and all our worries and cares were left on the pavement before we hit the dirt road. The only place to be ourselves and act like the kids we were…from so many years ago. Thank you in advance for your consideration

  54. Hi, I'm Diana from Pennsylvania. I currently live with my 2 children, and a 3rd I have guardianship of. Also, my father n his girlfriend of 39 yrs just moved in. Both have dementia. Our current situation is not suitable for everyone's needs. We now use my living room as another bedroom. I'm a very giving person, I've been know to give the last of my food away, clothes that others may need more then I. I've never asked for anything in return for the kindness I share. But , now there are more people who depend on me, whom I take care of. We are in dire need of suitable accommodations. My home is not large enough for the growing number of people I take care of. We are in need of handicap additions, more bedrooms, more room for VNA services. I have taken on the biggest challange of my life. I am slowly learning how to take care of 2 parents with dementia, 2 children with learning supports, and a child suffering from severe PSTD with Night terrors. I'm doing everything I possibly can, however I know in my heart that I now need to ask for help, to give those I care for proper home setting I cannot give on my own. I'm a good mom, loving and kind person. People always say I'm such a wonderful person for all I do for everyone, but as I look upon the situation at hand, I feel like I'm a failure, I feel as though I should have been more prepared to handle the needs of everyone who has presently come to rely on me, their caretaker. I know I did for see all of this happening. I believe my son's unselfish actions to give up his room for my parents warrants me to try and make things better, not just for him , but for all I'm accountable for at this time in my life. I applaud you, and everything you do. I've cried so many times watching your show. I'm sad that it is now me, asking for a chance that you have given many like me. I will pray, and hope to that I may be so lucky to hear a response. Thank you, and God bless you all.

  55. Hello my name is Connie Mull and I am hoping for a miracle. My husband and I got married 13 years ago. I had 3 children and he had 3 children. All together we raised 6 children. We bought our home a little over 11 years ago and it is a 3 bedroom home for 8 people. We have had to put 4 boys in a room and the 2 girls. We now have 4 grandchildren, 2 daughter-in-laws, and a son-in-law. We have no room when they come to stay. My husband was in an accident and has not been to work on a regular job for the past three years. He has been trying to do odd jobs and I just recently lost my job a few months ago and have not been able to get one yet. The home needs so many updates. The roof has some mold because of where the roof leaked. The floors are starting to rot and have holes in them. The walls are starting to get holes in them and sometimes you see carpenter ants. The electrical is not good and sometimes the lights will not work. It is sometimes gets so cold in the winter that you run the heat all the time. We have tried to do things but we just have not been able to. I appreciate your time and hope to hear from you. Thank you, Connie Mull

  56. Hi, I am writing this in Hopes of a prayer being answered. Me and my husband are going on 4 years of marriage in April. After we married in 2011, 23 days later our home was taken out by the tornadoes that hit Alabama. We were able to rent to own a home that needs a lot of work.we paid it off last Feb. Its a 4bed 2 bath home built in the early80's this past Winter took a turn for the worst. All our pipes froze and busted. It done so much water damage to our floors and kitchen, and bathrooms and our unit was hit by lightning so we have no heat anymore and not able to afford to fix it. We had it estimated at around 13,000 to fix everything that was damaged but with two kids keeping the food on the table is hard enough. I have always wanted a. Home to pass down to my children, but the way things are going I'll be lucky to give them this acre of land.my father recently went into the hospital not in good condition have

  58. Hi … My name is Laura Eckroat and I work at a Charter School in Texas. Our school is five years old and on a very limited budget since it is a Charter School. We could use new flooring, painting, some cool bulletin boards put up (to make our hallways and classrooms beautiful) AND … our bathrooms FIXED …. we have 2 toilets NOT working in the girls room …. leaving only 3 for about 300 girls! and the boys restroom could use a FIX! WE also could use a teacher "lounge" even though we eat lunch with the kids in our classrooms and also one more STAFF bathroom — male and female teachers share one bathroom … not cool! I know you don't normally do schools … but ours really could use a GOOD SPRUCING UP!!!!! H E L P!

  61. I'm asking for a home make over for my sweet husband of 35 years. He has terrible breathing problems which has him in the hospital right now, we have been there 9-times this year. I have really old carpet with pet stains that I try to keep clean. We found out his little dog is diabetic which has added to the problem. I put down plastic table cloths and piddle pads for her. Also he cannot climb into the tub to take a bath so we bathe him the best we can. We have worked all our life just have come on hard times with his health problems. My heart cries everyday that he does not have things he needs to live a better life when he has given so much to others and me. Even through his sickness he always wants me to have things which breaks my heart. I want nothing ,I only ask for him. To finally have a tub to bathe in and clean air to breath. A hospital bed so he won't get any more bedsores. Thank you for listening.
    Janet

  62. First I want to say thank you for taking the time to read my story. My name is Donna, I am 52 years old and a single mom. I own my home which I have lived in for 32 years. It's a 3 apartment house that my parents had owned. Then when I was married my husband at the time and I bought the house from my mom. The part of the house that I live in was 1100 square feet at the time with 3 kids. In March of 1999 we put an addition on the house to have a couple more bedrooms for the 5 of us. We did work on the addition as we had the Money to do the work. Needless to say it went slow and the addition never did get done. After being married for 24 years my marriage ended as he was no longer happy. I ended up buying him out of the house so that my girls would not loose there home also. It has been a major struggle financially as I have managed to put 2 of my daughters through collage and kept a roof over our heads. I have so many repairs that need to be done as my garage roof is leaking and is going to cave in soon. My house has cold air coming in as it's not insulated in some areas and my furnace runs and runs. I have 2 apartments that are not rented as the pipe in the upstairs burst and water came through downstairs apartment. Need to fix them so I can rent them and I have no money. I am to the point where I am truly feeling defeated as I work hard and am there to help everyone that I can and alls I want is a decent, warm and dry home for my family to live in. Thank you again for reading my story. I faithfully watched your show and miss it not being on. What you do for people is truly a blessing! God will truly bless you all for all the good your doing.

  63. Hello Mr.Ty Pennington My name is Courtney Dempsey I live in Sardis Mississippi.I am 13 YEARS OLD I'm not really sure how this works or if u help people that rents homes. But I believe that my mother is the perfect person for u to help.here is our story My mother has tried to buy two houses for us but the people she was buying them from sold them out from under here she put all our money into the houses. So now we are renting. My mom is the kindness and most honest person. She is very good hearted to anyone in need. She had a car accident two years ago. Now she can't work. She has good days and bad ones. My step dad works very hard for seven days a week. We live off pay check to pay check. They always put me first. I wanted to write you because I would like to take the worries off my parents. All I would like for Christmas is to help them. We are not rich. We are poor and she doesn't like to tell anyone. She is very sad because we have nothing under our Christmas tree. She watches your show everyday and prays for your goodness. She always says that it would be a miracle of god for something like that to happen to us. I really don't know how this goes but theres only two people I have talked to about this and its you and God. We don't have extra money ever and my mom and step dad has been together for 13 years and have been married 8. They have never been on a trip or honeymoon. My mother has medical problems but doesn't have the money to go to the doctor. They have taken very good care of me and I would love to give them a little peace like they have me. They wouldn't want much because they are not those kind of people. A trailer would be fine with them. A place where we could call our own and not to keep moving. It is Christmas and we are going to have to move again because the house we are renting has black mold in it. Now she is worried again. My mom would not dare ask you for help. That's why I'm doing it because I want to give her the best Christmas ever. We will in Mississippi and I have never seen you come to Mississippi so I don't know if you can help us or not but I just wanted you to at least please keep us on your prayers if you can't help us. That's all I'm asking for Christmas. God bless you and we love you.
    Thank you
    Courtney Dempsey

  67. Recently a close friend was in a motorcycle accident. He was very lucky and had no head injury but he broke his back. He is in a rehab facility now while he works to recover as much mobility as possible. He and his wife have four young children and live in an old farmhouse that is not wheelchair accessible. Friends and community members have been working on getting the home ready for him to come home but it will be a difficult transition because the home was built in 1920 and has a lot of narrow doorways and stairs. It would be amazing to help make this house more accessible. This couple has always done things for others. They have raised foster kids and are always adopting stray animals in need of a home. It would be so great to be able to help them by making their home work with his new wheelchair.

  68. HELLO! My name is Erin. I live in TX with my fiance' David, my 2 sons, and his son. Our story is a long one. My fiance' is a disabled Army veteran, both my sons have moderate to severe autism and his son has ADHD. We have 4 amazing dogs that take time also. Needless to say we are BUSY! We live in a 3 bedroom 2 bath house built in 1957. I purchased the home on my own, as a single mother before my fiance and I found each other, so it was perfect for my family when it was purchased. Also I purchased the home from the FIRST AND ONLY OWNER! That's right, the woman I purchased this home from was the first owner! She is the sweetest lady, but her husband had just passed away. She found herself in a position where she couldn't take care of the house herself even with the help of her family. I thought that this was the perfect house! Sadly, I was mistaken. Being a single, working mom with 2 children that are disabled, I had no idea the kind of upkeep a house built in 1957 on a pier and beam foundation would need. The 40 hours I spend at work along with therapy appointments for the boys, our time is very limited. My fiance is in school to rehabilitate into a civilian career so his time is limited also. We have discovered that the main bathroom floor is rotting and the only bathtub in the house is at risk of falling through the floor. Did I mention the house is on a pier and beam??? My fiance and I have the daunting task of addressing many issues with this house as our family has over grown the home, and major repairs need to be made in main portions of the house as well. We have several settling cracks throughout the house, separating of slats of the hard wood floors, cracked tile, etc. Also because the house was built in 1957 and the original owners never saw the necessity to upgrade the electrical system. The electric is not grounded! This could serve as a safety hazard for our children. We have attempted to do some repairs on the bathroom, but have not had the time to see it through. Currently our main bathroom is locked up as unusable because the tile is broken up in an attempt to repair the sub-floor under the tub. So we are a family of 5 using a 3/4 bathroom with a stand up shower only. We also need a 4th bedroom for my fiance's son to be comfortable. We could use some help. Thank you!

  69. Hola, my name is Gabby I am 18 years young. I live in Atlanta Georgia with my grandmaparents. I just graduated from high school in May 2014!!. I have lived with my grandparents majority of my life and I still do as of today. Growing up, I have watched my grandmother(62) struggle just to keep the roof(with little help) we do have under any and everyones head that was in need of it. Shes a god fearing women of God that asks for her prayers to be answered everyday with every pinch of hope she never gives up. She never gives in and pushes nunstop. In addition my Padre has just came back from deployment and currently lives here too… Thats four people in a two bedroom bumping shoulders just to get down a hall.WE watch as things fall apart slowly day by day. My grandma deserves what she wants and she always watched the show and I'd watch it with her TO SEE THAT EVERY TIME SHE WOULD SAY "I SHOWLL WISH I COULD GET THAT BLESSING". AND IT HURTS THAT I CANT DO ANYTHING TO HELP.I just want to attempt with faith to do anything to pay back my grandmothers hard work and commitment. And thats she would leave this world comfortable in a home that she has been in for 40 YEARS WITH NO REGRETS AND WITH A smile on her face..HAPPY TEARS IS THE ONLY TEARS I WANT TO SEE OUT OF THE WOMEN THAT RAISED ME, TAUGHT ME BETTER, MENTORS ME AND LOVES ME TO DEATH. Its tiring and it hurts to my soul to see her struggling and IN pain for so long with nobody..THATS NOT WHAT SHE DESERVE.

  71. Good Morning,

This will be tough to write as the pain is great. My son and daughter inlaw lost their 5 1/2 mo old child a year ago to encephalitis most likely caused from his 5 mo. shots he had received a couple weeks early. My daughter inlaw awoke like any other morning and went in to find her son dead. I can still hear the horrifying screams that day in my head as she called me. It has been one year ago December 3rd that this happened and it still hurts. My son works very hard and both my son and daughter inlaw have done so much for so many people. Since little buddy died, they have been unsuccessful to get pregnant again with 3 miscarried pregnancies. Every morning my daughter inlaw wakes up in that house and walks down the hallway to relieve that morning she found her son. This is so hard for her. They can not afford to sell or relocate. They are buying their house. I have prayed that God give me the funds to be able to totally remodel that home so it no longer looks like it did on that morning. That would be such a blessing to them so that they can move forward. Even the thought of if they did have another child ever putting that child back into that room leaves them an emotional mess and yet they have no choice. Please pray on this and if it seems well to you, please consider helping to give their tiny home a fresh new look. It will not take away the pain but would breathe some hope into their broken hearts. The story goes much deeper than this, but I crying too hard to write it all down. I know this isn't written well, but it is with a true heart I ask this of you.
Thank you for your consideration. God Bless you all for all you do.,

  72. Dearest Team,
I write in hopes that you can help our family and my mom out. Less than 3 years ago, my mom; Faye and her new husband Jerry bought a house for us to call home.
We were all happy. My Dad(Jerry)and been fighting throat cancer and was now 3 years clear of it.
My mom and him were looking forward to the next 20 years of happiness.

So we enter into this fantastic new home a place to call to our own. BUT WAIT.
NO heating system or air conditioning system in the home. That'll cost 5,000 dollars please.
NO water….You just need new pipes throughout the house another 5,000 please.
Slowly my parents savings went to all these repairs.

In the mean time, my Dad falls fail again. A side effect of the radiation. He drops weight from 150 to 75. Night and Day my mother and I cared for him. My mom staying all night in the hospital for him and dragging herself to work every day so the income can still be coming in.

Finally all their dreams are gone and my Dad passed to the other side of the veil.. Leaving my mom alone and struggling to make ends meet.

Only to discover that on top of Dad passing the house needs a roof. That's another 10,000 dollars please.

Now with no saving and the house payment and loans my mother had to take to keep food on the table and gas in the car she discovered that her bedroom has black mold, and the flooring throughout the house wasn't put in right and is lifting and causing my mom to trip and she has fallen just walking down the hallway.

If you can please help my mom get the house up to healthy living conditions I know that would ease a lot of the stress she is in.

    Family Includes:
Faye Lema (60 years old, my mother)
Sabrina Wilhelm (me) (33 years old, disable daughter, going to school to complete my child care degree)
Cheala (my daughter with ADHD and 11 years old)
Gabi (my soon to be step daughter who is a college student working on her JD and 20 years old)

In June I will have my other Soon to be step daughter Rebecca and she is going to be a Senior in high school and 18 years old.
Then there is Fawn, my mom's service dog and a MAJOR part in our family and she is 18 months old.

July 3, 2015 we have a family vacation planned for a week to Disneyland (we are taking the 2 older girls for the first time)

Please pick our family for a make over and new home. I know my mom would really truly love it.

    Sincerely

    Sabrina Wilhelm

  74. Hey, well my mother in law is in need of assistance for her home. It just burned down today. She is disabled, has diabetes, and doesn't draw very much a month. Especially for her, her daughter, and her two Grandbabies. She lost her daughter when she was in her early twenties,to cancer. Her ex daughter in law took her 5 grandchildren away that she helped raise, about this time last year. Her husband passed away almost 2 years ago on Easter. And now they lost everything, even her dog she has had for so many years. She deserves something good in her life instead of everything going bad, she is on the verge of giving up and we want her happy again. We are from Winchester Arkansas. Please help her. She would deserve every bit of it!
