Problem is that they don't have land to hunt where they currently live. He was hit from behind by a 17 year old girl and now his life is forever changed. I know adam can do good things for people possible invent something with the right tools. His faith in God gives him the strength to move on. The night of his car accident before his surgery he told his parents it's ok. I will be ok. As they were very emotional. What a strong kid!! He could use a place to work on cars, invent something new and have a place to hunt. Follow him on face book under his mom and dad. Frank Keszei and Sue Keszei. you can reach me

  3. My name is Danielle, I had a TBI 4 years ago, my husband Craig had an industriell accident 9 years ago that disenegrated all of his discs. Workmans Comp. denied surgery for 3 years and he has extreme nerve damage since. This case is still in court. Craig and I are $24.000 away from owning our house, it's got built very sloppy like all the other houses on our street, insurance won't pay to fix it. We live with 8 rescued animals, one dog was horribly burned and got skin grafts. care2.com/causes/woman-rescues-burned-puppy-and-he-grows-up-to-safe-her-life-html
The house is a one story, I imagine a two story with appartements for my old mother that lives in germany and an appartement for handicapped soldiers since we live next to Ft. Hood, Tx. My ex husband helped you at one of your projects a few years back (he is an electrician). I would "shit a brick" if you contact me and said "we will make your house over"…OMG. Plenty of running room for the dogs, maybe a pool on the side for the handicapped…

  6. My mom has an old Victorian home that she is embarrassed to have anyone come overy to visit cause of the condition. Her and my step dad work non stop to help provide for there family and put them selfs off. This beautiful home has alot of amazing potential. I think it would be awesome to see her dreams come true in digging out the beauty in this home and make it to where her family can come see her.

  7. Hello my name is braxton. I appreciate everything your show does and I love how you improve the quality of others lives with outstanding renovations of their homes. My mother has been struggling all her life and she is too proud to reach out to everyone at extreme makeover but i care too much about her and I really hope you listen to my story. From a recent divorce and bankruptcy and every little problem that could possibly happen my mother has been through it all. As a kid we bounced house to house, about eight houses, and we're miserable. My mom was always busy with work and trying to push through college to support me and I am always trying to give back. After highschool I joined the military and I'm never home anymore. My mother just recently found a house that she can call hers but it is beyond a disaster. She is struggling with depression and hardly even eats anymore and it sickens me I can't be here to help her. I wish I could give her the world and a beautiful home would be a dream come true to both her and me. If there is any way I could send pictures of the home i will. I wish I could express how much my mother and I need your help. I try to do all I can but I'm only home for 2 weeks out of the year if that. Please help us flip this house and I would love to help with the project if there is any way I could. Thankyou for your time and consideration reading this and please contact me whenever. I would like to thank you all again for what you do and how you make people's dreams come true. Please help make my mother's dream come true.

  10. I came across your programme and watched one episode and from one to the next then the next then the next and I cant stop watching them. The warmth and the love is overwhelming. I am a Jamaican living in Jamaica and I am an early childhood educator, I operate a school that is really in need of remodeling but have no help. I know this is our of your league since it is an American programme. If there is any chance of getting any help I would be so very grateful. The kids are in need of proper space and their play are is in a bad state. We only have one small kitchen with no shelves and we have no electricity facility. I just cant stop watching Extreme Home Make Over. It is the best TV show ever.

  11. I am so blessed. My sister gave me a place to live, when I was so lost. My sister Madeline is a gift to all who know her. She has rescued many cat's and dog's that people have dumped on her road. She is dealing with so much for her animals. Right now she has 9dogs. She also has a husband going through Alzheimer's. She alone at times has been working on her house which needs constant repairs. She works so hard everyday. She put a roof over my head after the loss of my husband. Letting me live rent free until I can get on my feet. I would love and be such a blessing to her to have her house complete and her to finally get rest from all the repairs. Thank you Rebecca Oberman

  13. Im writing for my brother and his wife. My mother and father had this home for over 20 years. It was once a one room cabin built back in the early 1900's. It now has two more rooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. But it is terribly falling apart. They have three kids. Two boys and a girl but only one bedroom for them to share. The house is falling apart. Roofs leaking everywhere. And the outside is coming apart. Years ago my parents got a loan to build on to the house to make it better and got robbed by the builder who was supposed to be building it. Dug a big hole around the yard and stopped. He took over $30,000 dollars from them. And their still trying to get it back. Went to court but he only pays what and when he wants. It devastated my parents cause they now have it in their mind not to trust anyone now. My brother works all day to provide for his family, but just dont have the money to fix the place up. I would love to see him not have worry about anything and to give my parents the feeling they can trust people again. Thank you very much just by reading this. ☺

  15. FIRE DESTROYS HOME ON CHRISTMAS MORNING….. My name is MaryJo . I am posting this as my dear friend of 40 years woke up Christmas morning of 2014… only to realize that her home of almost 25 years was on fire .
Patty and her husband and 2 boys made it out savely . It was the cat (which they cant find ) that saved there lives by scratching on the door.
They has no time to grab anything except for the clothes on there back(night clothes ) .
Patty has been working at least 3-4 jobs at once just o help keep her family happy and a roof over their heads.
They have struggled their whole lives and never ask any one for anything .
The fire was fierce and an angry one. It stared in the basement and with in a flash in engulfed the rest of the house .
Patty and family lost everything they have ever worked for in there lives.
Memorabilia from family members who have passed away in her live have all been destroyed in this terrible fire.
As of now they do have the help of the Red Cross and are living in Hotles who can only keep them for so long . Patrick one of the twins brought all of his belonging home form collage which were all lost as well. Jay and David we avid Civil War reenactment buffs who also lost all of there reenactment belongings .
It is a devistating for the whole family. It was hard to comfort them at Christmas dinner . I am hoping with all of my heart that you folks can find it in your heart to help my dear friend out and this terrible time in her life.
I am thanking the good Lord above that we still have them around to hug and hold and care for.
I don't know what else to do for them except hope and pray to God that some good comes out of allof this.
Patty told me she ahs always wanted a wrap around porch and a real kitchen and "her own bathroom " . She doesn't ask for much and she is still in shock that "This could happen to her." She has been married for 25 years and has never owned anything new including the cars that melted due to the intense heat of the fire .
I am with a heavy heart asking you wonderful people to find it in your heart to consider my application tohelp my friend .
We live in Rochester , New York up north which makes finding aplace to live even harder in this weather.
This has happened to me 2 yrs ago and I did it on my own . But Patty has lost more than I ….. she has lost everything except her life .God Bless you all if you consider this application in honor of My Friend and her family .
It was also hard know that she had just left midnight mass where she is in the choir and wished everyone a Merry Christmas. St. Johns of Rochester Catholic Church .

these are pictures of the fire ….. if you can open it .
Thank you all for your time and I hope this will touch peoples hearts to understand just how special our lives are and how fast it can be destroyed . May God Bless Patty and family and May God Bless us ALL . Hoping that 2105 will be a better and happier year for all .

  16. I moved into my new house in December last year. It's an older horse built back in the nineteen twenties. The old Owner passed away, but before he did he didn't do much to update or upkeep the exterior or interior off the home. It really does have the ability to be a gorgeous home, and back about ten years ago the wife did update the kitchen, but outside of that, most features are way outdated, and the outside is in need of some tlc. I am making small changes to the house, but not enough for its potential to be realized. This home has a lot of character, it was just neglected and I need help to get it back on track.

  17. My is crystalyn Garrity, I am married 11 years and have been a total of 16 years with my highschool sweetheart. We have five kids and live in a four bedroom rambler we recently have taken in five children whom are a sibling group who we adore and are keeping from entering the foster system,we receive no additional income as we have too many kids of our own and do not qualify for foster care. We live them dearly and it's closing in to the 9 month mark where we have a choice of adoption, we however have no room,no space and stress has set in due to lack of space.long story short there's more to the story but could you desperately help us?

  18. Hi my name is Chris and this will sound a little odd but my wife and I have been married for almost 4 years we have three wonderful children that deserve the very best. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of money but this is about more then us my mother suffers from many illnesses and so does my mother in law. My mother in law has property but the house she is forced to live in is upstairs only and she can barely make it up the steps she has fallen a few times now. I own a mobile home and would like to move it on her property to be closer to help her and have my mother with us to help her also they both suffer from different types of cancer and need all the help they can get.my family has watched your show since the beginning and we are huge fans of what you do so thank you.

  19. My son is 5 months old. He was born with a genetic condition called 1p36. Most doctors aren't familiar with it (including ours) but there are tons of different symptoms that can accompany this syndrome. For my son, he doesn't have the coordination to suck, swallow and breathe and therefore cannot eat like a normal baby. He had a surgery where his stomach was stapled to his abdominal wall and a tube was inserted. This tube is hooked up to a machine and the machine feeds him. He also has issues with breathing and due to our home environment, there is a huge risk of infection if he gets a tracheotomy. As of right now we are prolonging the tracheotomy because of our situation since we feel the risk of infection outweighs the benefits of having it. It seems like there are a million of comments here of people who are asking for help and I'm sure many of them need it much more than my family does, but I will try everything I can to make sure my son stays healthy and happy. He is 5 months old and has just now become 9 lbs. He will be delayed in almost all aspects of life but I have hope that with physical, occupational, and speech therapy he will be able to overcome many of the hurdles set forth in front of him. All I ask is that you read our story and if my family cannot be helped, try to help another family with 1p36 children. There aren't very many in the states, but we are all a close group of people who support each other however we can on facebook.

  20. Well, I'm the only Daughter of a single mother in South Carolina my mom been struggling financially for along time it's been very hard for my mom to keep up with our house with bills and my aunt who can't get the amount of money to live off of. Slowly god is blessing us but it would be even Better if I gave my mom the best New Years / Late Christmas present ever a remodel home. She's been trying her best to provide for me my aunt and this house. Every sense my grandmother passed in January of 2012 things been dull around here quiet and we always have water problems and sometimes maybe even electricity problems please please please come to South Carolina, Winnsboro it would be the best thing that could ever happen to me. My mom is a very hard worker it would be great to surprise her with a new look to the house.

  21. My name is Jessie and my family consists of just myself and my daughter. I have been a single parent to my daughter karaya for the last 8 years and have raised her alone since she was 5 months old. I worked hard and did my best to build a life for myself and Karaya. My daughter started daycare when she was 6 months old so I could go to collage to become a nurse. I succeed and also aquired a large student loan debt so that I could provide for my daughter while attending school. I started my career and was faced with many challenges. Child care is structures around the typical 9 to 5 work day and if a person is fortunate enough to find after hours childcare it costs a fortune. Because I went to school and started a career I make to much money to qualify for subsidized child care. Due to my long hours, shift schedule, finances, and debt my daughter has never had the opportunity to join sports or after school activities. As a result she has poor physical fitness and has also missed out on opportunities to build friendships outside of the class room and has struggled with being bullied and left out amongst her peers. She is very intelligent and despite her young age she has plans for her future including becoming a veterinarian as well as breeding and training service dogs. It is difficult knowing that to own our own home is so far out of reach but it is worse knowing that I will not be able to save for her education that she has already been planning for herself. It is difficult to see her missing out on partisipation in sports and after school activities. I make just enough money to get by and have had health problems. When i miss work due to illness it is devestating and have reached out to our local food bank and took notice that they are always in need of donations. Since I started drawing and painting when I was 9 years old I applied at a local coffee shop that commissions art work I decided to use my talent to raise money for the food bank. I donate all profits from my paintings to this service. I am not applying only for myself but for other single parents who have had similar challenges. I feel that there are other single parents who despite great efforts simply cannot give there children the opportunotes and best head start that these kids deserve. A place to call our own would be nothing short of a miracle. It would creat a significant feeling of relief and security among the challenges we perservere through.

  22. I am a mother to two daughters and raising two other daughters with my boyfriend bc their mom walked out on them. My youngest daughter lost Her dad before her first birthday and its been hard. We are living in a 3 bedroom double wide and space is tight. We have tons of things wrong with the house its not even funny. We've tried fixing it but when we have a tight check it's hard to live day to day let alone make our bills.please help us make these girls lives so much better.it would mean a lot.

  23. hello, I'm don't know if you'll even consider us, but it's worth a try. I'm actually asking for help for my parents house. My parents came to this country back in late 70's. They've work all their lives and had many struggles trying to bring my siblings and I to this country legally. We finally were able to be reunited in '92. I was 14 and they left Peru when I was 6. That's 8 yrs we were apart. My brother, sisters and I owe them the world. They made so many sacrifices for us and they're always there for us when we need them. They purchased their house back in late 80's right before us kids were able to move here. The house was old to begin with while we lived here but now the house is so old and falling apart. My parents are workaholics and they don't fix things anymore. They go to work and go home to rest and start all over again the next day.
I would've liked to help my parents throughout the years, but I was away with the Navy and my brother was in the marines and my younger sister was Air Force. I was able to come visit back in 2003-4 at which time, my parents had made the decision to contact an engineer and paid them to draw some plans to knock the house down and build a new one. After so many attempts and issues with the city, we found out Those people took their money. I came home another time and was able to find those people and I was able to make them finish the plans but it all stopped when I left again from the area and my parents don't speak English so they were afraid those contractors were gonna take their money again. Now is 10 yrs later and I'm back for a visit and I see their house still in the same condition and I feel I can't do anything for them. As for us, we're still in the Navy and we live in MS, for only another 9 months and then we'll move wherever we're needed this time. I have a brother and sister that live in Miami now though so I'm hoping they're able to help. My dad says they had way too many difficulties with getting building permits from the city. They think it's corrupted and it's all about who you know to make things happen. I'm sure you guys have many other people whom are probably in more need of your help, I'm just hoping you can consider my parents. Thank you in advance.

  24. Hey guys my name is Paul I am a single father of three 2 girls and a boy we live in a 1974 mobilhome on my grandfathers land I have Ben trying to fix it a little at a time but the finances are not there the last 2yr have Ben hard for my kids and me see in 2012 there mom and I was separated and she was seeing some one Els wen things went bad and her abusuve boyfriend murdderd her leaving me to take care of are three kids witch are my life I would not be here if not for them it would be a bleessing from god to have a new home for us are just some help with the old one love the show love you guys if you don't pick us I understand and thank you

  25. Post note…My house has since not become suitable in many ways the floors are sinking in the middle and the roof needs replacing and walls need fixing and I have no money to do this and have been struggling financially for the last 7 years roughly.

  26. Hi EM HE…I was wondering about getting a makeover for my home. My First husband passed away 14 years ago in March and left us in a very old but livable stone block house. Had no complaints until 6 years ago when my only son…now 27 had a car accident and rolled his small size truck and broke his neck at the C6 &7 vertebrae leaving him a quadriplegic and living in a group home half an hour from our home. last summer(2013) we resurfaced our crumbling patio to make it accessible for him to come home. His chai measures 1/2 an inch less that the door opening making it a very tight squeeze, his girlfriends chair rubs the wheels when she comes in. I am in the caregiving field for employment and would love to have a home to take care of them both and be their caretakers rather than leaving them in the care of others. Staff at the home is constantly changing and I feel that the good care he once received their is far less suitable. My home is not suitable to house them as it is and I would as I said love to be able to care for them here where I know what kind of care they would receive. Some of the cares that have been eliminated for him and her both are detrimental to their health and I fear for them both. I have been educated for caring for para- and quadriplegic's And feel they would receive far better care under my care and supervision of my relief team. Please say that you can help with this dilemma that we are in. I would love to hear from you regarding our pleight. My only hope of this dream of mine is through you or winning the lottery or PCH. Thankyou. LLE

  27. Hello 8 1/2 months ago my husband and I with our 5yr old purchased a home thru a realtor the house as we find out today was vacant for way longer than we were told. As time has gone on 8 1/2 months of the worst nightmare anyone could ever have. We are dealing with serious health issues because our home has Rat & rodent infestation in the heating ducts along with mold. And yes we had all this inspected even have all paperwork to show this house was inspected by several different company's . We don't have a proper heating unit size for the home either plus there was a gas leak sce&g came out as an emergency but we are told not to use heat at all because of contamination in unit. Plus 2 drs. Have examined all three of us with our respitory problems now we can't ever leave there as of this past Friday ,Dec 22,2014 , so we own a home for such a short time and can't live there now the whole time us getting sick we really didnt know it was the house. Early October we started dealing with another major issue the roof we were lied to again we're told roof only 3yrs old it's way over 10 yrs old. We got an engineer to check this problem because now we know we got major issues if we fix the heat we still need a roof it's so bad this gentlemen said it's the worse roof he has ever seen the worst poor workmanship he has ever seen in 25yrs. So much damage from water it leaks every 1/2 inch. So yes it rains in our house. Ok so if that's got you upset like we are the termites have been feasting on this house I honesty have never been so devestated in my life these people painted and made things look pretty and the house is just fallen apart. We are being represented and being told to be Patient these things take time, time that doesn't stop to be able to live I have a to care for my child and my husband is disabled we are all sick I. A hotel room have a mortgage and 1 income it is Christmas today and all I did was cry all day please help us I have seen what you have done for people.there are many more things that have been found the termite damage is just terrible this is just wrong.

  28. I am writting for my fiances grandma and grandpa. They are the sweetest people i have ever met. They took me and my kids in as if we was blood family. They have a handicap adult child that lives with them. There house is sinking in and the walls and floors are cracking badly. They cant afford to have everything fixed like it needs to be since they have all the medical bills of there child and my grandpa has medical bills himself. He had to have heart surgery which put them on a financial strain. They love to have all the family over for holidays but there house cannot hold up more of it. Everyone has tried to put in and fix it up but it needs alot more then cosmetic work. I would love to see these people have something good come for them, they try to help everyone they can. They will give you the shirt off there back even if it was there last. There daughter Sheryl is the sweetest even though there not blood, to me they are. Please if anybody deserves the help it is this couple and there daughter they always put everyone's needs before there own.

  29. Hello! I am writing to you about an amazing Woman who also happens to be my mother. She is soon to be 70 years old, living on less than $1000.oo per month, yet sacrifices time and money to unselfishly give to anyone in need. She lives alone in the home of a friend, always making the best of whatever life throws at her. Her lifelong dream has always been to live self-sufficiently on a small farm of goats, chickens, maybe a cow or two, a handful of guineas and a couple of peacocks for beauty. She (even at 70) does her best to raise a hardy garden and preserve the harvest in anticipation of the upcoming winter. Raised by a father who often preached, "If you don't work, You don't eat". She raised her children to always accept whatever circumstances we found ourselves in and make the best of it. Recently, our small town (in the midst of a gas boom), experienced a gas leak at one of the many wells which surround my home. Instead of complaining and expecting the gas companies to compensate us, she and I decided to serve in any way we could in helping everyone involved. We tirelessly got up every morning of the 10 day incident to make breakfast for not only all the workers (Triad-Hunter, Wild Well, BMI, EPA, ODNR, EMA, AOS, Richette, Sardis Vol. Firemen, and other local volunteers), but also for the more than 30 evacuees, including myself, my husband and 2 sons. And not only Breakfast but lunch and supper also, not leaving until all were fed and satisfied and the local fire hall put back in order before we would retire to our homes around 8:30 each evening. My Husband and I own about 26 acres in the foot hill region of the Appalachian mountains in Monroe County, Ohio. In 2012, our home burnt and we lost most of everything we owned. We had began to build a small cabin on the property in anticipation of my mother finally being able to live her dream of having a farm. With this unfortunate incident, we were forced to finish the small cabin and move in with our two sons. We lived cramped, but happy in this 30×30 home for almost 2 years. We finally began building another home just this summer, living in our small camper to allow the boys more room and anticipating that we would be able to live in the finished basement this winter(2014-2015). As of now, we still have to get our bathroom and kitchen installed before we can move in…so we still reside in a camper. Our ultimate hope is to begin building the main part of our home, which we want to look like a barn, this coming spring, and be able to set up an apartment in the basement for my mother so she can finally be able to do some farming before she can no longer have the capability to do so. She gives so much of her life in helping those in her family and also her friends who may be dealing with diseases and sickness. She has spent a lot of nights in the hospitals, making sure her loved ones get the proper treatment and are not alone in facing these trials. She has lost almost all of her family to either cancer or Muscular Dystrophy, never leaving there side, till they took there last breath. I want her to be able to live her remaining years in a peaceful country setting, surrounded by her animals and gardens. She deserves so much more than she will ever be able to afford.
Thanks for your consideration of my mother and even myself. I know many in our community would give of their time to help give this wonderful woman what her heart desires.

  32. Hi My name is Chelsey and I have 3 children. We live in a small town in Ohio. My oldest son has been going through numerous surgeries for his bowls and is seeing a doctor about autism. I have to keep door and cabinets locked for fear of him getting things, hurting himself or someone else. I had to recently quit a good job at be home more for him, and now that I am making minimum wage we can't make it. I am behind on everything, looking at a repo, and we have until June to move. I am stressed to the point I am sick, please give us a break ABC.

  33. Two and a half months later, my parents pulled me into their bedroom. I went in and they were sitting together on the bed. They were holding up one of my old snowsuits from when I was a baby. While doing so, my dad asked: “Emmy, how would you like to share this as a hand-me-down for a little baby brother or sister?” I was ecstatic! I looked over at my mom, and there she was, holding the highlighter from in the car, saying: “See? Here’s the test the doctor gave me-it’s positive!” Needless to say, more than one thing had finally become clear to me. A while later we found out the baby would be a boy.
After the second trimester started, my mom and dad had been going to doctors even more frequently than before. I began to worry. One afternoon I overheard my mom on the phone and she sounded mortified. After nagging non-stop, my parents finally told me that my brother was sick. The doctor had recently heard a muffled sound in his heart beat. Later, my brother was diagnosed with HLHS-Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. This meant that he would be born with only the right side of his heart, as the left side would not form. Because of this, my entire family and I were completely prepared for the up and coming hospital stays and surgeries (the first series of three open heart surgeries happened from 4 days old til three years old, but transplant is needed in the future). During one of the surgeries, the doctors accidentally snipped Ben’s vocal cords-causing the inability to eat orally and/or speak. A feeding tube was surgically inserted and we learned sign language. The chances of any self-induced recovery for this particular problem was, and still is, 1 out of every 5.
Though I could go on to tell you of the long, intense nights at the hospital, I guess I should wrap this part up by telling you about a little something that I realized… My brother was exactly what I wished for-to a tee-and guess who his Godfather is…my Uncle Chuck, the one who was with me when I wished for Ben. The most miraculous part is: my parents didn’t hear about the night when my uncle showed me the star until my little brother’s 4th birthday party. One more thing, Benjamin–he was that 1 out of the 5 kids who recover from damaged vocal cords.
Something almost as scary as what Benjamin was, is, going through, is the price paid. Along with time and emotional withdrawal, the bills will never stop. Making the situation just a little bit worse, my parents are separated now, as my father was diagnosed an alcoholic. Benjamin and I live full time with my mom, as my dad lives on the other side of town and we see him regularly. Ellen, my mom works SO hard. It’s really all she does. I, for one, have really tried too. If my mom is working, I’m with Ben. I’m like his second mother. I wouldn’t change anything that has happened to us for the world because I wouldn’t be me. Without my past, I wouldn’t have anything to write and sing about-I’d have no hit singles, no fan base. Most importantly, I wouldn’t have my baby brother. The thought of ever losing him, and believe me-there have been plenty of times when we thought we were going to-kills me completely. He means more to me than life, itself. Though I wouldn’t change our past, I have been trying everything in my power to change our present…
My parents both come from rather well off families. However, they were the two that branched out and did what they wanted with their lives, rather than what their families expected. They have always given us the best life they could. Until now. My brother recently lost some of his assisting insurance and we were told that he will never be able to get life insurance either, because he’s too much of a flight risk with all of his health issues. This blew my mind, it’s pulling us so far down..
A while back I was watching your show and I saw that you were doing home makeovers. Right when I saw this I knew—I NEEDED to reach out to you. But I didn’t want my mom to know that I was trying to get us help because I want it to be a surprise-a good surprise for her for a change.
When we moved into our small house, there were certain things we knew we would have to fix in order to live well. These being the roof and the driveway. However, when Ben came around, all of our money was gone. We have nothing left and we are STILL paying hospital bills. My mom can’t keep up. I am trying to help her by working as much as I can, but it just doesn’t add up-I strongly believe that it never will.
Last year our eaves trough and gutters fell off due to a heavy snow storm. Since those weren’t in place to catch it, dubrey from our roof falls down and into our yard. The roof is at its wits end. If we wait any longer, it will cave in. But we have no choice-we can’t afford a new one. Along with the roof, our driveway is completely torn apart. Every snowfall withers the pavement that much more and it is absolutely terrible.
There are also problems inside. Our house has old pipes. This leads to flooding in our basement all the time. Also, my bedroom floor has major holes through which we are just waiting to fall through.
I know that this is not your problem. But I don’t know what else to do, you guys. I am afraid of what will happen. What if the house really does tumble down? I spend nights crying because We are falling apart-our house and our spirit. Can you please help us? Please? I will do absolutely anything. All I want for Christmas, heck, all I want at all is for my family to be happy and have a good life. I KNOW they deserve that much.

  34. Hey yall,
My name is Christina and I've been a HUGE fan of your show. It's just amazing to see how many people are really out there to help. I'm not really for sob stories but ever since I starting watching your shows , I've always wished I could find an organization like yall to help my family out. I'm the oldest of 6 kids. Youngest being 8. Including me there are 3 girls and 3 boys. Middle boy has been struggling with diabetes since he was 7, I believe. He is now 13 . My dad is a single dad and takes care of us all. Ever since I could remember we have lived in a livable house, but not something we are proud to call our home. We are even scared to have people come over . But at least we have a roof over our heads. Our house was flooded in Katrina and since we haven't really recovered the house compeltely. They started and then my mom left my dad and all of us and he has tried his hardest to get us what we need and make sure we have food , clothes , and a roof over our heads. that he has done a very good job on. I'm now 21 and have moved back in with them to try and help with the living situation ,but as many know , it's very hard especially with 6 kids running around and all the activities they are in. All I've ever wished for is for my dad to have an easier life along with all my siblings and to live in something they are proud to call their home and enjoy coming home to. Right now we share 1 bathroom . It's kind of hard when everyone wakes up at the same time to go to school or work and trying to get ready. I love my family very dearly and would do any thing it takes to see them happy. Even if yall can't help, cause I understand there is always someone in a worse situation than I am, could you please direct me to an organization I can work with to try and get this done. Merry Christmas !

  35. I'm doing this for my mom (Kathie Wilson). She is buying a house from the bank in Bowen Illinois. We live in a small town called Augusta Illinois. My mother, step brother, step dad, my son and I live with her in a little two bedroom house. The house she is buying is an older house with a lot of issues. My son's room and mine is the living room. It used to be the back porch. When I was bringing up my carpet one day while being pregnant I discovered a whole in the floor letting cold air through. There is no insulation in the house. In our laundry room we have a furnace that is going through the floor slowly from a leak in the roof. In the kitchen our floor is bubbling up so bad that we can't use our oven we can only use our stove top because it won't cook evenly now because of it. Also we have a leak so bad under the kitchen sink that it soaks everything. Our bathroom we have fixed over three times. The shower doesn't have a knob. We turn it on and off with a pair of pliyers and a wash rag. It won't drain till five minutes after so you are unable to shave. We keep fixing broken pipes as well. Our toilet leaks. My mom is so busy helping others she has no money to improve her house. And when she finally gets to it it just happens again. We can't afford an actual plumber to help us improve the house. She is already in debt taking out loans trying to fix things. She also owes other people money for helping her on other things as well including the house. We would really appreciate your help. Can you please help us!?

  37. I'm not to sure how this works, but I am willing to try & try to find help for my family. My family lives in a rural area in Florida, a small town called Monticello, Fl. In the household there is my 71 year old mother, my oldest daughter Racheal (who suffers from a disability since the age of 18). My youngest daughter Amy & myself Laura.I have recently been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, what a blow!( now I am classified as disabled as well) I'm not concerned for my self but it is my daughter's future with out me that troubles me more than anything! I was married in 1979 to turn around & be windowed in 1984, my daughter Racheal was 13 months old. I remarried in 1985 & once again I was widowed in 1996. We live in a moble home on three acres which before becoming ill I did a lot of work to, New roof, as the old was leaking, the removal of mold, New floors, plumbing, etc. Needless to say I can no longer do any of this physical work, plus with no health insurance my financial situation is not great. I pray to the good Lord the almighty for help & he led me to you. The workers of miracles, I wait patently for your help. Very friendly yours Laura Manka

  39. I am asking for a makeover / help to save my childhood home. My fathers was recently murdered and the home that I grew up in is in foreclosure and in need of lots of repairs. My father put a lot of blood and sweat into making the house a great home for us growing up but with age he had started having a lot of pain and health issues that he didn't have insurance to cover because he was a self employed contractor. He built houses and did remodeling for a living and loved making things pretty. Ever since he was murdered all I can think about it trying to save it. Me, my husband and mother have all spent time on the phone with the people over the loan and we are in the middle of trying to do a remodification but the house has lost so much value and needs a lot of work to be livable and that takes money that we don't have because my husband was recently laid off. He works in the oilfield and with oil and gas prices I don't know when he will return to work. I know it would make my dad smile to see us be able to save it and to watch his grand babies grow up in it! And honestly it would make the whole family and neighborhood smile. I love right beside my childhood home and it's so sad to see it falling apart. Please help us save it!! We need this really bad!

  46. I have currently lost my position of 9.5 years of manager of a company that I started for my boss and I thought was a best friend. I opened and ran the office from the very beginning, and ran a successful company for 9 years of working for him. After 9 years my boss brought in a GM to run the 5 offices he now owns after staring with 2 from 2004 to 2005 to present. After hiring the new GM, things slowly started to changed with him, we started to lose crew in a few of the office. Things started to get very stressful and the work environment became so intimidating and stressful that I was beyond my stress level, which has never happened before in all the 9 years I have been there. There are also some other things that have happened that I would be more than happy to share with you. To make a long story short, I was taken out of my role of that manager position given a job to do from home. The only thing I can think of is that the GM was getting rid of the employees that were hired from the owner and hiring his own employees. I have been out of the office I started since July 8th 2014 to current. With not any closure of a real reason as to why. My husband is on disability and has not had a check since I lift the office, so we have been going off of my check with the house payment and bills. I am working on getting a house that my parents are signing over to me free and clear. I just have to get a loan to cover the work that needs to be done to the house so that we can move into that house. At the current time the house in not livable due to it being empty and sitting for a few years and people have just went into the home and stripped the house of everything it can be stripped of, damaged walls, taken smoke detectors, thermostats, air conditioner, hot water heater, furnace anything that can be removed has pretty much been removed. I have to sell the house I am currently living in because I can no longer afford to live here with the bills and only my income and with my husband being on disability. If I can get help with fixing the bi level in that house I should be able to afford to make the payments and live there and hope to find a job where I can once again be happy. The house can be beautiful on the inside. It can be saved if it can be fixed before its too late. My dad got sick with and could no longer live in the house, he is a United States Vet, the house means a lot to him, but he has really bad knees from serving in the war and his knees would give out on him with having several knew replacements. He would fall all the time, and with having steps my mom was to afraid of having him fall down the steps and with him also having alztimers and they had to leave the house. So I am wanted to try to get the house back to where it once was and for my dad to see his deck and pond back to where it was as well as the house before anything happened, he is 84 years old. So I am just asking for as much help in getting the upstairs redone for us to move in and get the furnace, hot water (running water) heater, air-condition and the appliances in. And if we can work on the down stairs that would be great. I am putting my house up for sale at the beginning of January and hope it sells within a month or so in this price range. I was hoping to start getting the house worked on starting in January. I know this is quick but it also came upon me quickly as well. I have put my life and all of this in Gods hands so I am waiting to see where God takes me in this life. He closed 1 door and has opened this door and I am trying to push my way through as I feel that he has put this infront of me for a reason, I just cant do all of this by myself. So I am reaching out of some quick help and I know it my be a little too quick. I will look forward to hearing from you either way. Please take my story into consideration, I will take whatever help you can give even if its a little bit. Any at all will help and be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and attention to this situation. Sincerely, Libbie Boettcher

  47. Home makeover crew,

Hello, my name is Kathryn Frehse. I am a war veteran. Served for 8 years. With one tour in Iraq. I am no longer serving but, in the three years that I have been out I started a family and now have three kids. twins that are 15 months and a 3 year old little boy. While I live in Newtown Square PA, I have come into property in Jacksonville FL. It is a strange story, but my half brother's father died. My brother was in prison and the house that his father lived in was given to his sister. She did not pay any taxes on it, or make any repairs to the house. After three years and after a few notices saying the house was going to go into foreclosure. She tells my half brother that she was going to give him the house as a gift because she knew that he had nothing else left of his father. He takes the house and puts it into his name. Then we find out that there was a little over 4,000 dollars in taxes and the previous tenants destroyed every room in the house before they left. I took over the house, and I had a part time job to specifically pay for the house. I paid the over 4,000 dollars in back taxes, but juggling three small kids a house to cook, clean and a part time job proved to be to heavy of a load for me to carry. The house needs a lot of TLC, but is totally worth saving. It would mean the world to me if I could get this up and repaired. At the moment we do not have the money to get it up. Please let me know if your interested.

  48. Hey Makeover Crew!!

There is an amazing family I know that is in need of a new home due to hurricanes and natural disasters but they are too humble to ask for help! It's actually my boyfriends parents and they have no idea that I am contacting you so this would be a complete surprise! They live in Louisiana and their house is still functioning but has definitely fallen apart. If you could contact me about getting these amazing people into a safe place to live, it would mean everything to me!

  52. I am writing to ask if you can please help our church. We have a small rural church in Barnett, Mo. It was built in the late 1800s, and has some additions to it, but our precious children are all crammed into a small musty basement which is one of the additions. Our little church is growing to include about 30 children of all ages, and all the children are together in one room for Sunday School. If only you could see these children and how happy they are, even though they have to share this musty basement room, you would be amazed at how well they handle it! Our pastor, Steve Macy, and his wife, Sherryl, drive from St. James, Mo. which is about a two hour drive one way twice a week or more for very little money, and their dedication is amazing! They do this with a car that has over 250,000 miles on it! They are true missionaries to people in their own country and state! Our little church does not bring in a lot of money and having the funds to accommodate our growing youth group seems a slim possibility. The children would be so happy to have more room to learn and grow! When my Uncle first opened up this church in 2000, it had two pot-bellied stoves which warmed it, and an outhouse in the back yard. It had been closed for many years. We have seen progress, as we do now have a basement, bathrooms, a kitchen, and a small building that we have turned into a sleeping quarters for the pastor and his wife. Sometimes they stay a weekend to do pastoral duties or hang out with the people (us) who they have grown to love so much. We sure do love them! I do not know If you have helped any churches, or if this would be a first for you. We ask you to come and help our little country church and become part of the dream these children share, many of them who live below poverty level, that life can and will turn out good for them. Thank you, and God bless you all! Sincerely, Big Rock Church worship singer, Beverly (Jill)Edgar

Kitchen in major need of update.
Basement could be awesome play area for kid's and music room. Everyone is really into their gymnastics and everything takes place in my living room!!5 girls, two boys, beautiful funny and strong minded kids.I'm English and husband grew upnin Palm Beach. We have a real mixture of classic taste and modern. Everyone has an opinion and no one can find anything!!!!!!

  54. My name is jennifer and I have a very good friend of mine his name is Albert that is wheelchair bound but yet still works everyday. Even being wheelchair bound he took care of his mother who was ill from daily activities, cooking, cleaning and laundry until she passed away. Now he lives alone and takes care of himself and his house is nowhere near equipped enough for a wheelchair or wheelchair accessible in any fashion. He has to go outside the house to get to the washer and dryer and takes dial a ride for his daily transportation. He doesn't want to rely on others for his care and he doesn't ask for a handout. Although he could use a lot of help Albert never asks for anything. While working his 40 hour job he also organizes and participates in the community volunteer program through the Home Depot. Having his home remodeled so he can function fully would be a blessing not only for Albert but for me as well to know that he can continue on with his life as normal. Please consider him for the show!

  55. Hello, I'm asking for an extreme home make over on behalf of my father age 72.My father use to own a convient store and we lost everything in 1999 because of a flood. 57. My friend and I are both school teachers. She is an awesome teacher and her students love her. She pushes them to do their best, while still caring about the whole child (which is not as easy with middle school kids). Her husband has MS and a degenerative spinal condition (and she has a heart condition). They are living on her teacher salary as her husband is not able to work due to his conditions. They have 2 children, both of which they had before her husband was diagnosed. They have a modest home, but it is not handicap accessible. Just to get in the home, you must go up steep stairs. They are in need of a ramp, hand rails throughout the house, and it would be great if their laundry room could be on the main floor (as opposed to the basement). Eventually, they will need a wheelchair van/vehicle (to travel to and from doctor and hospital appointments, which are frequent). In addition, her family is not able to help much since one of her parents has a terminal illness (and the other parent had to retire to take care of them).
Although they have health insurance, their medical bills are such that they must live on the strictest of budgets and still have difficulty making ends meet.
Thank you for your consideration. I love my friend dearly and want to do anything I can to help her and her family.

  60. commy name is Cody I am 30 I have a 21 year old wife, a 5 year old little girl who's real mom hasn't spoke to her in years, a 2 year old boy with hearing problems, and a 1 month old son… now all this sounds like happiness I know, but we lived in Ardmore Oklahoma and one week before we were married my home burned to the ground my daughter and I lost everything, we later bought a house here in Stilwell Oklahoma where we currently reside. since moving her we finally started getting bac on our feet when my youngest brother fell in a stump grinder, doctors gave hima low chance of survival and he recovered fully in less than 6 months with full use of his arm, during the doctor visits and bills I took out loans and sold most of my things to help out, a few short months after being released he woke looking very I'll we took him only to find that the antibiotics had destroyed his liver kidney, and spleen, after 7months and another miraculous recovery he was released, he went home had dinner with my parents got in a truck with his friend and was killed in a crash while the other 5 in the vehicle didn't even need medical attention, I've spent all money helping with his funeral and doctor bills. in April of this year exactly 2 months after his death I fell off a ladder at work and tire up my knee and shoulder 3 no.txt later my job closed down and now IM trying to care for a family of 5 on only 252 a week. I've sold my wifes car taken loans on my truck that IM about to losemy house has fallen into terrible condition, on November 13th my youngest son was born and 12 hours to the minute my grandfather passed away unexpectedly. so now we have more funeral bills. IM going to be having surgery soon so can't even go back to work and may not have a truck for transportation soon anyhow. I would give anything tok get the opportunity to be accepted so that my children and wife can live more comfortably without fear of falling through the floors…. Iknow you probably won't even look at this application twice but I prayed before filling it out and God told me to have faith so here is my faith… thank you for your time

  62. Hello,
My name is Janai Williams and I am the 4th child of my mother's 5 children. I am 18 and currently in college. But every time I come home to visit my mother, I become instantly depressed. My mother lives in a home that is over 30 years old that falls apart what seems like more and more each day. A little over a year ago my mother was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and is now cancer free. But she is unable to work because she can't handle being up too long and becomes weak very quickly. She is also a single mother. My little sister, who is 14, is still living with my mother. I don't feel as though it is safe for them to be living in a home where the ceiling and floors are caving in. My little sister has asthma and can sometimes have trouble breathing due to the air circulation in the home. We have all grown up in this home and have felt safe in it, and I want my little sister and mother to continue enjoying the house because they deserve it. I hope and pray that you will even just consider us for the makeover. I hope to hear from you all soon, thank you and God bless.

    -Janai Williams

  63. I would like to nominate my dad for a makeover of his house. He is 73 years old and has given to his children all his life. He lost my mom two years ago, and has been going down hill health wise and financially. His house is all that he has left and that is falling apart around him. It is an old house and very drafty, the kitchen and bathroom floors look like they could crumble at any given moment. I would like to give him a place to live out the remaining days. He won't move in with any of his children, I think because this is where him and my mother spent their lives together. He didn't want to put up a Christmas tree because it would use too much electricity. He is on a fixed income and tries to cut corners everywhere. Please, please consider him for an extreme home makeover. It would make a elderly man very happy.

  67. In our community, there is a non profit that serves and serves and serves. They provide all types of rehabilitation therapy for vets, kids, people with disabilities and the elderly. No one is turned away based on inability to pay. The staff is caring and hard working. What they do and the hearts they do it with are amazing and inspiring. The current facility was built in 1953 and they could really use a makeover. A makeover would give back to people who give so much and allow them to give more to those they already serve. It is a special place with special people who touch lives.

  69. Hello!..I'm Helen and im writing in behalf of my boyfriend. He's a cancer survivor of 5yrs now but still suffering from after effect of radiations.. He works 3days 36hrs/week in good days when he's feeling 100% good… When he got sick he lost everything and having a hard time to get it together to these days..He moved in alone their family home of almost 60yrs nearly 2yrs ago, his mom wanting him to buy it but can't afford it so he's living in the house for gratis ..BUT with no heater, no water, roof leaking, kitchen falling apart, floor have subsidence..walls have no proper insulations ..etc..his mom or siblings don't wanna help out to get the house together and its a shame to let it all run down with all the sentiments that goes with it..and to top it all it's HIS HOME…

I have moved in with him 2months ago with my 4yr old son and i must admit its hard going having no heater and water, that's why most times we only stay in 2 of the upstairs bedrooms especially this wintertime coz we keeps our portable heater on all day in there. And we buy water everyday for everything. Not to mention he don't have a car but motorbike as main transport coz he don't earn much that he can't even get a loan..he is a proud man that don't wanna ask for help even from his own family. But i love him and my son adores him and wanna make a way to help him as a surprise…and i would so appreciate what you all can help to make his life a bit more easier and ease his worries.. after battling cancer and 2 heart attacks while battling cancer… he has given this chance and he aim to that chance use with purpose but would love him to have his Family Home be a home again..Our home…PLEASE I AM NOT ASKING FOR A REAL EXTREME MAKEOVER JUST A LIVEABLE A COMFORTABLE ONE…and we would forever be grateful…Thank you for giving me this opportunity and for ur time reading this..Have a Blessed Christmas.

    Respectfully Yours,
    Helenita Cory

  72. I wanted to apply for a friend of mine named Karen Thiele. She has struggled to raise her 3 kids: Brooke- 18, Ashtyn- 9, and Tristen- 5. Her youngest was born with a heart condition, but is doing fine. Her husband is a firefighter for the Leander Fire Department in Texas and she has been a stay at home mom for the last 5 yrs. This past summer she helped move her parents from Florida to Texas due to her father battling cancer. She wanted to help take care of him, and then he passed away a month ago. Her mom is living with her and the family, but they have no room to accommodate everyone. They live in a 3 bedroom rental that is falling apart and the landlord is no help to resolve the home repairs on the plumbing or foundation. Karen's husband Gary has some family land in Paige, Texas, but it has no utilities setup for the home site. Karen has mentioned for years how nice it would be to build a home out there with an in-law-suite, but they can't afford it. I do not know how this works, but the idea to send in a testimony for her came to me this morning. Thank you for your time. Lori

  73. I am writing in hopes to get some help with my current house. I live with my grandma who is in her 80's. Up until recently, I cared for her. Now neither of us can take care of ourselves. I have become wheelchair bound in the past 4 months. Our house was built in the 20's or 30's. The doorways are narrow, the basements are molded and cause my breathing to be labored. Our roof leaks, the plumbing… well, sometimes i wake up to a small lake in my bathroom due to the plumbing situation. Both doors are not fitted and the heat and air conditioning only work on occasion. I can't reach anything to cook with, I don't qualify for assistance. Neither section of our house is wheelchair accessible from the inside or out. We have no ramp, no space, no storage, and no help from outside sources other than some really good friends of mine. I also have autism. I have no sensory room or a swing I can use. This makes simple everyday tasks very hard for me. Money wise, I can't work and she can't work. We aren't looking for anything fancy, only functional. This is the only home I will ever have.

  74. Get the tissues ready….We live in a town that has become commutable to NYC ..yet is 2 hours away. My husband has had hardship and has still remained caring and very involved in his Community. His daughter Emily had a heart transplant @ Colombia Pres. in 2006..she now lives home on a ventilator and is taking on-line courses, but is limited. His father (retired navy went back to clean-up oil spills in Iraq in 2003 and was killed delivering water to troops in a Jeep Accident. His older son has Asbergers Syndrome and lives home. Youngest son is a tough kid and in Annapolis naval Academy. After all this Bob was diagnosed with Colon cancer and is on Temp. Disability from his 26 year job while on Chemo. If you asked anyone this man has helped anyone that comes his way. Our house is a little ranch and is in need of some TLC…but the view of the Catskills is beautiful. Please call us and meet our little family and a community that is bustling with loving people. Barryville NY
