Here we go again! “The Singing Bee” is back again! CMT is currently looking ofr males and females, all ethnicities that know the lyrics and are not scared to sing them out nation wide on TV. They are search for all types of singers… the good, the bad, and even the tone deaf.
You just have to know the lyrics from various musical genres including COUNTRY and know them well. If this is you, we’d love to see you audition. Please submit and let us know why you could rock this game show and take home the BIG MONEY!
About: The Singing Bee is a karaoke type game show. It was originally on NBC but is now airing on CMT. It combines both karaoke singing and a spelling bee-style competition. The game show features contestants trying to remember the lyrics to popular songs. Originally slated to begin with a six episode series during the fall of 2007, it launched early in reaction to FOX’s competing Don’t Forget the Lyrics!

I am about to be 20 in three months. I grew up listening to country music! Music is an important part of my life. When I was younger I used to lock myself in my bedroom and pretend that I was giving a concert for a bunch of fans and sing my heart out! Music is my stress reliever. I feel that I generally am good at remembering the lyrics to the songs especially Carrie Underwood songs. I can pretty much sing any of her songs!! She is my favorite country artist! I am putting myself through college and live on my own with my boyfriend who works most so that I can concentrate on school and we can pay bills. Hi, my name is Cydney Nicole Nolan and im 14 years old. And your about to hear my storie. It isn't long but it will tell you about the journey(s) I have taken just to get somewhere with my singing. One time just before I turned 14 I was on my way to John Casablancas for a model/acting/singign recall and then I felt something burst in my side and fainted in the Macy's parking lot on our way to the audition. They immediatly called the ambulance but by then i had woke up and they did not give me a ride we drove to Nationwide Childrens and it took them a while but they got me a room and SO many tests done. Finally after all the ultra sounds and x-rays and blood tests and urin tests and so on and so forth they said Cydney you have a cyst on your left ovarie. i was rushed into the opperating room because it had grown so big that it was twistin my tubes and organs. But during the surgery they found a second cyst on my right ovarie. Point being i missed my audition on July 8th 2011 at 4:00 p.m. and it took months before i got back in to auditions and then when they told me they wanted me i cried i was so happy i thought finally my life was going right! and then they said the training would cost twenty-six fourty and me and my grandmother (my legal gaurdian after my parents started bad things and kept going to jail) thought it meant twenty six dollars and fourty scents but when we got in the car after telling her we would have to talk about it we looked at the paper and it was numbered much differently it was 2,640 dollars and we just dont have that kinda money. My dream and life was ruined i was depressed and crying for MONTHS i still cry thinking about it. My grandparents always tell me there is always next year but i know we will never have that kind of money. But every night i pray that god can bring us into some kind of money but it has yet to happen. That is why i wouldnt be perfect for this show because i have determination and stirit and i will do anything to just get noticed and finally show people i can be bigger then this town and this place. My grandparents approve of this but if it costs to much i cant i hope you can find it in your hearts to find a way i could be on the show. I think i have wasted enough time out of your nights/days so i will let you go and thank you so much good night or good morning where ever your reading this! 🙂 😀
