My wife sings in our praise team, but she has always song in the church choir every since we were teens. i have always told her that she has a great voice and she could go to the next level but she doesn't believe me or in herself. 2012 has been a big year for her; because god has really been developing her voice and she is getting stronger & stronger. but i believe god has more for her. just to let you know a little about her! she is a mother of 4, 3 girls shatara, chelsea & evin 1 boy darrell Jr. she lost her mother at the age of 11 she is #8 out of 9 kids. after there mother died they were split up between there relatives, they sufferd hard times. not that other people don't! but what's intresting to me is all that she's been through she has never given up on god. she would tell me how they were abused molested by family members & always last in everything. which help to condition her to not expect greatness. she really has an awsome story,there is alot i can say say about her, but i would have to wright a book! anyways all that she's been through comes out when she sings. Singing is my BEST!!! Grandmother raised me when mother passed away. She saw a light in me at an early age singing to all of the songs on the radio, TV, and n church. She put me in the choir. Well I've been singing gospel since I was five. I have always had this gift. I can remember dancing and singing to my shadow or complete strangers. As a child I lead the sunbeam choir and junior choir at my church. Now I am the lead singer in a gospel group made up of my four sisters and I called the Daughtersof Zion. From as far back as I can remember I have always wanted to sing for a living but I felt singing secular music would not be appropriate for a child of God. People have been telling me from the first episode that I should try out for Sunday's Best. The final straw was after I sung for the Christian Academy where I teach music appreciation and direct the school choir, one of the 5th grade girls came and insisted that I try out for the show. So, I'm being obedient. If I get on the show, you'd make one 5th grade girl very happy.
