Another terrifying tale from the “Master Of Horror” Stephen King is being adapted into a feature film and millions of fans around the world will soon be lining up in droves to be a part of the excitement. Mercy will be coming to theaters in the new year and a number of fantastic roles in this big screen chiller will be up for grabs for aspiring performers of all ages. This is your chance to be a part of horror history in one of the most talked about productions of the year.
Mercy will be based on Mr. King’s classic short story Gramma from his highly regarded Skeleton Crew Collection and will tell the frightful tale of two young boys and their single mother who take a trip to visit their elderly grandmother Mercy. When the family arrives they quickly realize that Mercy’s disturbing behavior is not caused by old age and senility, but in fact their once sweet matriarch has made a pact with evil forces and she is now a witch. This fascinating scare-fest will be directed by horror veteran Peter Cornwell who has guided such projects as The Haunting In Connecticut and Ward 13 and has recruited an impressive early cast that includes Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story: Asylum, In the Line of Fire, Unbeatable Harold), Frances O’Connor (A.I. Artificial Intelligence, The Importance of Being Earnest, Mansfield Park) and Joel Courtney (Super 8, Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn, R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour).
