My grandmother has been trying to open an orphanage but it keeps on failing . She also has a heart problem. We trying to prepare for my aunts wedding but we can't because we financial unstable. My wants the best for me because im a straight A student but I can't go to a proper school. My grandmother loves giving out to the community but she gets nothing im return . My granddad died 25 years ago and my grandmother had to raise her 2 daughters alone. My siblings and I are fatherless. I wish to live in a proper house that doesn't leak when it rains. I just have a happy family in a warm home full of love please help my family

  2. My name is Sonya bishop my husband is Timothy bishop we have three kids we both have full time jobs and still having problems, we had to move my brother in and we live in a three bedroom traylor. my kids share a room cause we can not afford the material to add on. we have to redo most of the kitchen floor and the hallway floor. The ceiling is starting to crack and sag.The roof is rotting we do not have decent ac for the summer because we can not afford it.It breaks my heart to see my kids suffer for what we can't give them, all I want is my kids to have a comfortable place to live and where they don't have to swet in their own beds.My kids are not old enough to understand how bad off we are for that I'm grateful. Their only 6,3 and 1. My brother helps as much as he can, but he's disabled and his check can only go so far. He stays at home and watch's the kids because we can not afford a babysitter. It takes all of are checks just to pay the bills and put food in the house. We can't save enough money to fix the house before it completely fall's apart from under our feet. So I'm desperately asking, please help my kids.

  4. Hello, my name is Celina.. im coming to you in hopes of possibly helping my parents.
we never had much money growing up, but my mother always worked so hard to give me and my 2 older siblings everything that we needed. Life got really hard for everyone after i was born. my biological father turned out to be a nightmare, trapping us all in a prison of unthinkable things..My mother, working alone took everything she had, risking her life to get us away from the man trapping us in hell.He hunted us for a long time but she made sure he he never hurt us again. we did have to move often but we always had what we needed.she taught us how to enjoy our live and move forward and be happy. growing up all of us kids have had our struggles.. especially me.. Still, working paycheck to paycheck her and my amazing stepfather that has protected us and kept us safe for the last 17 years, have giving to us even if it meant leaving them broke.
They are nearing there 60s and i am afraid will be working in an underpaying job for the rest of their lives.Their house was once 2 old trailers they tried building into a decent home for themselves but they ran out of the money they had saved helping us kids, leaving their home unfinished and falling apart more in every coastal storm.. ceilings are caving in, floors are falling thru.. my mother has already been hurt badly by falling thru the floor.
they do not have the means to fix the many worsening problems that continue to arise and sadly none of us have the means to help them either. My mothers dream is to have a small little 2 bedroom cottage with a white picket fence and maybe a new shop for my step father as his is caving in on everything inside.
They are such amazing, loving, caring, wonderful people and they deserve better then they've gotten from life. They would help anyone in need even if it meant giving all they had. I would do anything to be able to give a real safe and secure home for the first time in their lives..something they can grow old in together that wont hurt them or make them sick. i hope and pray that you consider my parents.
thank you so much for your time.
    God bless.

  5. Hello
My name is Kadie and I would like to nominate my bigger sister Kim. In October 2013 my sisters husband was killed in a login accident. Leaving by my sister and there two children. She has stayed so strong for there two children putting them and everyone else first. September of 2014 she lost her job which put her in some financial hard ship. Her home is in much need for some home repairs. And I'm saying much need I'm saying it mildly. Our family has tried to help as much as possible but there is just to much that needs done and without the financial backing it just seems impossible. About a year ago she lost her home owners insurance on her home. After going thru all of this she still keeps her head up high and tries to keep a smile on her face. She has always be there for me and I would just love to give back to her and her children. To have a fresh start but trying to keep some of there memories of their father. Extreme Home Make over I'm begging for your help! Ps she does not know I'm doing this. She would probably be so mad and so thankful and happy at the same time. Just want her to be able to have a little bit of stress taken off her life. Thank you

  7. Hi, my name is Alyssa. Within the past few years our dearest grandfather passed away. He was the glue that held our entire family together and after he passed away, my grandmother fell apart. My grandparents were married for 55 years and they did everything together. Together they also went through the loss of their son (my uncle). My mother and I are now taking care of my grandmother but together we have been incapable of taking care of her just the two of us. She has become completely immobile and has had several surgeries. She also has severe diabetes and is loosing her eye sight. Because my mother and I are unable to be there with her throughout the day, she has had to leave her house and live in a nursing home. My mother and I currently take care of her house but all she wants to do is move back to her house. The house is where the kids and grandkids all grew up and her security is within these walls. However, the entrance and exit to this house is completely inaccessible to her wheel chair and we do not have the strength to move her around the house. It is also completely outdated and has major plumbing issues. My grandmother has asked us to live in the house and maintain it but we are loosing energy. Eventually we will have to sell it if we can not maintain it structurally. The love she has for this house is incredible and if we had the money we would fit it up and create a driveway for her wheelchair. Our extended family has such an emotional tie to this house and with a makeover, her depressed look on life could change. An ounce of hope could really brighten her future. Family gatherings for thanksgiving could be made possible and that security would be recreated.

  11. Hello my name is Heather, my boyfriend bought a house that needs work done on the outside. We live together with our 7yr old son who has autism and diabetes, and my daughter who is 16. We live in a log home and the bottom logs are rotting, the roof is leaking which has caused mold to grow in my sons room. I want to be able to do something special for him as he has done so much for us. He works hard every week and can't do the repairs that need to be done. I would like to have the rotted wood fixed and the roof to stop leaking in our house. As I have stated before our son is 7 with diabetes and his immune system is compromised, and he is also autistic. This would mean the world to me.

  12. I would like to nominate my brother Michael and his wife Anna from Tucson, Arizona for a extreme makeover. Don't even know where to start with this heart breaking story. Michael is 53 yrs old works as a drywall hanger/finisher. Anna is 53 yrs old and has the hardest job of all. Anna is everybody's caregiver who suffers with medical issues herself. She runs around tiredlessly with her father who has cancer and mother who is has alzhimers, her adopted granddaughter, 2 adopted neices and an adopted teen nephew. The four kids along with Michael and Anna live in a 900 square foot home with three bedrooms and one bathroom. The house was built in the 40's which was passed down from my parents who are now deceased. With Michael working in the construction industry for all of his adult life has struggled many time with unemployment especially when the market took a fall. Anna is a certified CNA, a few years ago injured her back lifting a patient and has never been the same again. In March of 2014 our family was struck with the worst unbelievable news. While the rest of us tryed to comprehend and process how and why, Michael and Anna stepped up and with no looking back and took in our neices and nephew after finding out that their youngest brother Roman who was around 3 yrs old had been starved to death, left in a toy box in their back yard for who knows how long. When Romans remains were discovered the 3 kids were placed into custody of the the state which involved foster homes and limited supervised visits with family. Michael and Anna never missed a visit, screening or any type of hearing that involved the kids. Their tired efforts were payed of with the adoption. These kids require many doctors visits, therapy sessions and counciling. With the trial approaching this October and trying to prepare the kids for attorney interviews, court processes, <the trial and just not knowing what the future holds for these three kids is nerve wrecking for Anna and Michael. Living in a house that was built in 1940 and is falling apart is just added stress for Michael and Anna. I just found out that the plumbing in the house is shot. This family of six were living with no water for 2 weeks showering at Annas parents or my two sisters who live across the street from them until their oldest daughter found out and moved all six of them with her until the plumbing is repaired, which Michael is trying to do himself. It seems that that every year something is going wrong with this house. Just a few years ago the house was seperating and of course Nichael repaired that. Michael and Anna have always lived a very humble life and would never ask anyone for anything, yet they are the first to help others when needed. Please consider them for a makeover or even just repairs would ease some of the stress. Thank you.

  16. Hi I'm Loistine, my family lives in Fayetteville, AR and we need a makeover. Ever since my daughter died I've been taking care of her kids, one is 12 her name is Jada and the other is twins they're 6 and they are Jayanna and Jakyla. We moved to Fayetteville and we moved to a small old home . The house has holes in the floor and the roof, squirrels go in the roof and you can hear them at night.Ants are everywhere even if we kill them. The rooms are small for my twins because they like to play in their room. My granddaughter likes to design clothes and draw but it's not enough room to put a desk in the room. We have a lot of stuff so it's crowded. I have a heart condition and my grandkids love to play outside but they say it's always boring .The kitchen cabinets are loose ,so we have to put something between the cabinet to keep it closed . It gets cold at night for the kids because we only have two heaters ,one in my room then the living room. The bathroom is small and there's cracks in the walls also in the floor.Wood chips and paint comes off the house on the outside. And one time there was a wasp nest in the outside of my granddaughter window .with the cracks ants and sometimes spiders comes in .appliances are old. Sometime the front door is hard to open.the car porch has holes in the roof .The windows are hard to pull up and down.

  17. Hi my name jada and my family lives in Fayetteville, AR , and we need a makeover, because our house is old, there's squirrels that gets in the roof, ants are in the the everyday . 18. I am requesting a home makeover for my ex-husband Mr. Lackey he's a police officer for LAX Police Department and few years ago he lost his portion of his leg so the house is not will chair ready and it is hard for him to get in and out the tub. So I move back in with him to help him out. He is a hard worker he refused to retire after he lost a portion of his leg he was off work for a few years nothing will stop him but I know he gets frustrated at times my name is Anna and I believe he deserve the Home makeover he has been the best dad the best husband, the best granddad the best coworker and the best friend he is 75 years old with a lot of youth in him I would love to put a big smile on his face. so please let him be one of your best pick. Thank you Anna Doss,

  19. I know that I don't deserve a home makeover more than anyone applying here but I thought if it was meant to be it would happen. I am currently a mental health therapist working for the VA. I work two and three jobs to help make ends meet but I never seem to get ahead. I made some bad decisions in my life that cost a lifetime of debt and garnishments. Not all are mine but because I have a job they are coming after me. I have been given my family home after my Father died that was built in the 1930's. Since he died all repairs went on done and I developed a leak in my bathroom. It caused mold to develop in my walls in my bathroom. I don't know if it has caused me to get sick but since living here my symptoms of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy got worse and I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, fibromyalgia, diabetes and narcolepsy. It is making it very difficult for us to live here. I have tried to do some of the repairs on my own but I cannot do the plumbing and tear down and rebuild walls. Also simple things such as a broken glass in my back door is being left undone due to my physical problems and lack of money for repairs. There are so many, I don't know where to begin. It would be a lifesaver for me and my family if I could just get the repairs in the bathroom.

  20. Hi

My mom and dad owned a house in New Brunswick, and it burnt down. This was before I was born. So they moved to Ontario, and I was born. My dad got very ill from being in the war. He told me that the land was mine in New Brunswick when he passed away. He wanted to move back, and build a house. HHe passed away when I was 5. Nothing was ever done to the land. Everything that burnt was just thrown over a small hill. It still to this day is there. I am told now that there is a possibility the government might of took it. It was always my favorite place to go, and this thought kills me. This hurts dearly. Once my dad passed away, our family was sent back to New Brunswick. My dads brother took the house up in Ontario, and left us with 5000.00 to find something to live in. Our family of a disabled mother, 2 sisters, my self, and a brother had to live in a small camper in the woods. My grandfather gave my mom a small piece of land to put it on. He told my mother the land was mine when he passed. He passed away in the early 1970s. His son took the land when my mom died in 1998, and told me never to go there again. He burnt down the camper also. So now I live in my daughters rented basement that is not finished in a different city. All I want is to make my fathers dreams come true on his land where the house burnt in New Brunswick. My mother loved that place, and it kills me to think I will also die with it just setting there. He was a great cook for soldiers in world war 2. He taught all the men how to cook. It dearly hurts to be left out in the cold, and for his and my mothers dreams not to come true. Soldiers and men of war are the very people why our country still exists. This soldiers daughter was left with nothing, and left out in the cold. I have no where to go so I had to leave my home town. It has nothing to do with me, but my dad was a soldier. He helped save both the USA, and Canada. Also it was my mothers hurt that hurts me so much.

  21. My name is Tonya. My father in law has be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We know it is only a matter of time, but I wanted to share his story. He joined the navy at 19. He served 20 years in the navy when he retired the navy he worked approximately another 20 years in the millwrights Union. Not long before his retirement he bought 5 acres and placed a home on it and for the next 10-11 years he has lived in his home making what he wants. The last couple months has been difficult for him; learning he can't continue doing what he want and fixing his home the way he needs it. Currently he is in the hospital with a blood infection. There are many things about him I did not agree with but as time went on I grew to love him for who he was. Placing him in a nursing home or moving him out of his home is just something I can't agree to. My husband and I live in Colorado. Dad lives in Nevada. I have been in Nevada taking care of dad for three months. My husband has been home trying to take care of our family. In dad's house the floors need redone, the windows are failing and will not stay open. This is a modular home and inside in the center you can see it start to separate. The back door steps he has stumbled down several times. My husband works to take care of our family but we do not have the money to fix the problems. Dads savings has also deminished helping members too.

  22. My parents live in Antonio, Texas 78201, it's a very old house & old neighborhood but a fantastic location. This could be a fantastic area to restore, the house is completely in disrepair needs ABC dream team. People living in poor condition house:
Dad 84, survived massive heart attack and very limited to climbing stairs, Mom 76, early Dementia, Daughter 49, injuried 25 years ago after college graduation she is a quadriplegic, living with parents, and a disabled veteran renting rear furnished upstairs portion of house.
Everyone in this house suffers with great portions of disabilities and a few years ago parents were taken advantage by a repair contractor, repairs where ill and not to code standards, the life of the repairs was short…it took longer to save $$$. Currently there is not sink in bathroom, they have to use kitchen sink. I pray
for your kind consideration, this family is in serious need.

  23. Hi my names Brianna and just like most people on here my parents house needs help. Our house is falling apart and my parents don't have enough money to fix it. 28. Hello!!! My sister has been thru hell and back for almost 15 years. Husband has a child with another women and he has also allegedly married another women in NYC. Tracking him down has been a nightmare because no one knows a address where he can be served papers. Her house has mold along with tons of other unhealthy problems. My father who's deceased now married into this family but it breaks my heart to see my sister live in these conditions. She drives a school bus and has constant tenants because she needs the income. I have been a fan of the show for years and if you guys could help out… it would be life saving!!! 😉

  29. My name is Hillery, I'm from Salem, Or. I would like to suggest my mom as a candidate for an extreme home makeover. She has always put everyone else before herself and has never had an opportunity to have a nice home or nice things because of her selflessness. We grew up in Lyons, Or. myself, my two brothers and my step brother along with my mom and step father lived in a two bedroom single wide mobile home. My step dad worked for Fleetwood homes and my mom stayed home to care for us. We were barely scraping by but we were happy together. My step brother Eric has a half sister Jody who was placed in the foster care system. When my mom heard about her, without hesitation she became a foster parent and sought Jody out through cps so that Jody could live with some kind of family. When Jody was in her 20's she had made some bad decisions and gave birth to a son Michael who was later diagnosed with asbergers. My Mom knew that Jody did not have the ability to care for Michael and again without hesitation took Michael in. A few years later my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. During treatment she lost her hair, her energy and I noticed her having memory problems. I never heard her complain or ask for help. She, my step dad and Michael were given a slightly newer manufactured home on the same property in Lyons. It was a slight upgrade but they still could not afford major repairs that it needed. Around 2006 her mother (my grandma) had spinal fusion surgery and could not care for herself any longer. My mom without hesitation took my grandma in to live with them. My mom and step dad gave my grandma the master bedroom and they moved in to one of the smaller rooms. My mom was her caregiver for about 5 years until she passed away. My grandma left her a small amount of money. My mom had hopes of moving or doing much needed repairs on their house. At that time my step dad was diagnosed with late stage bladder cancer. My mom's focus became his care. All of her time, energy and money went in to his care. The house deteriorated even further because my step dad was no longer able to do even small maintenance. He died about a year and a half ago. So now it's just my mom and Michael in a falling down manufactured home on a property that she rents. A couple months ago her brother Ken (my uncle) and his wife went to the property owner and offered to buy the property, tear down the mobile home that my mom is in now, and buy and move on to the property a brand new manufactured home. The lot is about 4 acres, my uncle is going to retire from his position as a corrections officer in about 5 years and was going to renovate the entire property. He was going to have my mom and Michael live with them indefinitely. I just heard today that my uncles lender vetoed the entire project because they would only approve a stick built home to be placed on the property. My mom was in tears. She has lived there for almost 30 years, she loves that property, she loves gardening, she loves the vast valley and hills in her back yard. She is plagued with back pain from fibromyalgia, herniated discs and arthritis so she can't work. She babysits for a friend to make a small amount of money beyond her social security to help pay for Michaels passion of drumming. Today she went down and applied for HUD (housing assistance) which means she will probably move to an apartment. I'm concerned mainly for her happiness. I feel like when someone does nothing but sacrifice themselves for everyone else's happiness their entire lives, they shouldn't be left still picking up the pieces and struggling every single day. She deserves a mansion made of gold on a mountain top with butler and maid service. I have done and will continue to do everything in my power to help her. I keep seeing opportunity and hope dangled in front of her and when she gets excited it's taken away. I don't think anyone deserves that but least of all my mom. I just want to see her happy again and without stress and worry. I'm also concerned that if they have to move in to an apartment, Michael will not be able to continue playing drums. It really helps him to focus and chanel his energy. It's difficult to tell how he would manage his autism without that outlet. I realize you have a lot of people with remarkable stories applying for this. I can assure you that it's my mother's time to recieve some love from the world. Thank you for reading her story.

  30. Hello! My Name is Shae. Im writing this letter for my Mother in law! She's been living in her house for over 20 years and is at her very lowest. The house is falling apart rapidly! Window have holes and cracks to the point if a possum wanted to make its way in it could. The water pressure is so weak to the point it's not enough water to wash 3 fingers. The water in the shower builds up so quick that you have to hurry up and rush to take a shower! And the hot water don't stay on to long it get cold. Who wants to take a cold shower in the winter. Not to begin to talk about the toilet and out doors of the house! All doors need to be replaced. She been a VERY hard working lady all her life and put forth blessings in other people's life. She put herself on the back burner for others faithfully. She now have grandkids. There's mold building up and mold can be deadly and spread. I just want her to be at ease and happy because this is the only subject she talk to me about is getting her home fixed! Most of all she speak highly of you all! And how much she loved watching breaking your show. She mentioned to me that you all wasn't doing the show anymore. She was saddened by that. She always tell me "Shae I always wanted to be an interior decorator! She love this and she love how you all bless so many people! We are in the District of Columbia and it would very much be a blessing if you all could reach out. She stress about it everyday! It's hard to see her this way. Thank you so much and may God continue to bless you all! Moto: TEAM WORK MAKE THE DREAM WORK! We love you Guys!

  31. Hi my name is Camisha hicks and our home had a devastating flood all over are basement into my sister and moms room. It made our house moldy and unlivable. We have a single mother who takes care of us on her own and our father is completely out of the picture. Our mother is barley around due to her job and it makes living here very difficult for us because we don't have enough income to help ourselves with food or the house itself. We appreciate all the hard work are mother is doing for making money for our family and we just really want to give back to her for all her hard work. This would be such a great opportunity for our family and we have been watching this show since I was a child and we just want a dream house created for us like you create for other family.

  32. I want to nominate my amazing friend, Amanda. She is a single mom, who had raised two daughters. One of her daughters lives with her and requires around the clock care due to epilepsy and many other medical conditions. Amanda works as a counselor and is finishing her MFT license. She is always helping others and often charges really low prices for counseling because she has such a big heart! She currently lives in a one bedroom apartment that is attached to her parents house in California. It needs a makeover to allow her and her daughter more living room for her medical equipment. She would love to make changes but is constantly overwhelmed with caring for her daughter and caring for clients. A makeover would be such a blessing for her. She is truly deserving of this.

  39. Hi my name is Simon. I am an American who has lived in Nairobi Kenya with my family for 15 years. We run a children's center for disabled kids called Heshima. You can find out more about us at www.heshima.org We are wondering of your team would ever consider doing some extreme makeovers in Kenya. We have many many people that we work with that could use better housing. As you can imagine, most of the people that we work with live in the Nairobi slums. We own land in Kenya and have built our center for disabled kids on that land. We would love to have you come to Kenya…but not sure if this is something that you would consider. Thanks for considering Kenya!

  40. Hi! My name is Sarah. My mother is a 68 year old disabled retiree from the United States Postal Service.  I am writing to you because we truly have run out of ideas. She is having terrible problems with her home. She has a basement that has apparently been flooded for years. I knew she had water and possibly mold problems but until  Friday, May 20, 2016, I honestly had no idea how bad they were. Not only has the basement flooded, but it is completely covered in mold. The carpet in the main room was once upon a time a beautiful pink color. It is now green. Her toilet downstairs is overflowing with raw sewage. The ceiling has black mold and it is falling down. We have honestly tried to figure out for 7 days how in the world we are going to get this problem solved. I am unfortunately not in a position to help financially as my husband just lost his job as well as having major structural issues with our own home. My mother has her home paid off so she looked into a loan, a new mortgage, borrowing from family and friends, etc. She has no savings and no resources. I have called the USDA, Information & Referral, health department, DHHR, Habitat for Humanity, as well as other places. I finally decided to write. I mentioned it to my mother and she said she would NEVER get so lucky PLEASE prove her wrong!!! I know its a long shot to possibly get her some help, but I am at a loss. Any advice would be MUCH appreciated!  Thank you!

  45. Hi, my name is Sarah. I'm 19 years old and I'm trying to do this for my mother. Her name is Stacie, last night a terrible storm flooded the house that she was living in. We lost a lot of very precious and valuable memories that she had JUST moved in to her new home. Most of what was lost were my father's things, he passed away 2 years ago on December 31st, and we are still recovering from the loss. Losing all of the videos and pictures of my father is the most heartbreaking thing that has happened since his passing. We haven't had the best luck these past few years and I'm really hoping to turn that around. Please, if there's any way you could help us I know it would mean the world to my mother and to me. I'm away at college and the stress from worrying about her kills me every day. Thank you for your time. Yours truly, needing a miracle.

  47. Aloha My Name is Kahea.. I live in Hawaii on the island of Oahu.
Im Just gona get straight to the point.. A little over 12 yrs ago My husbands grandmother(Been gone for 10yrs now) forged his name to refinance the loan on the house that they both owned. She then went on a trip n spent every cent, my husband had no idea. Well a yr after she had gone on trips and did what she wanted, she had passed away, leaving a Pretty BIG mortgage bill on the house which now became my husband's. The family had tried to fight for the home and take it from him, but there was no WAY he was gona let go. We paid every month and as hard is it to find a GOOD paying job here in HAWAII, we had to somehow find a way. In 2010 my husband had an Corneal transplant hoping that it would cure his eye situation. During surgery he supposedly woke up and exerted which caused him to lose his natural lens on his eye. surgery was not a success. Two months after that he started only seeing BLACK thru that same eye, he was losing his vision due to his retinal detaching. He then Went BACK into surgery which WAS a success and reattached his retinal. Since then it hasnt been the same though.. Having to recover which took over 2yrs.. He still cannot see out of that eye and probably never will. Dr. Says there isnt anything more to do. On top of all that he played sports in High school before and also Sumo'd in Japan for 10yrs so he suffers from a bum Knee, and slip discs thru his neck and back. Having to go to work everyday took a toll on his recovering eye, keeping in mind he had stitches that would have to stay in there for over a year or longer just dependinghow the eye. I on the other had just found out i have diabetes. Another Battle to fight. Trying to keep up with house bills just got very overwhelming. We've been sent to bill collectors for everything. Because of this we cant even get a credit card or a loan just to get thru the month, No security to fall on. No way of paying anything "We prayed and We Both thought and said "Take it Day By Day and we will worry about what ever it is as it comes up". Ever since then LIFE just got harder and harder.. Behind on Mortgage(Could lose the house), the utilities, our cars keep breaking, which makes it hard to take the kids to school or even to get to work. Along with every thing else..our showers both have leaks which leak through the walls into our home(no insurance on home either) and we can't afford to fix it so we just keep shutting the main water down and only turn it on when we need water. Are house is literally falling apart from the inside out.. We REALLY have no one to turn too, n have No Money.. We along with our kids, 10 and 5 Need HELP.
    Desperately seeking Help..

  48. My name is Alex Bregant, last December my girlfriend lost her father unexpectedly to cancer. He was a former fire fighter, husband and father of three. Her mother works in an inner city school and can barely afford to keep their house. My girlfriends parents couldn't afford to finish putting her through college so she could never get her degree. They live in a small home and could really use the help. The are buried in student loans, hospital bills, and other forms of debt. I don't know what else too do. I can't explain how much I love this young lady and it hurts me every day to see her a shet family struggle. I'm not asking for you to make them amok lion dollar house or fix every one of there problems over night, I am only asking for you to help a family in need. Please please please help them.

  49. My father bought the house my husband and I currently reside in. My father did what he could to fix the place up before he died. I inherited the house and we now live here full time. I have two step kids who live here part time and we are expecting one of our own as well. This house is falling apart and it's too much for us to afford. My husband has done the work he has been able to do but he can't do it all. I want our children to be able to have a safe home and home they can enjoy growing in. That we can relax and be a family in without worrying about money for everything. I hope you consider our house to help fix up. We really need the help. Thank you for your time.

  50. Hello my name is Destiny. My husband and I need your help. The house we are living in was my grandparents and after they passed away it was my mother and I living here by ourselves. When my mother got sick she couldn't work anymore or go back to school. It was really heartbreaking. I took care of my mother until the day ahead passed away in 2013. She loved your show and always watched it all the time. She loved how you made peoples dreams come true and helped them out. Now it's my husband, our 5 month old daughter and I staying in the house at this moment. My uncle is in the military and hes working as a transport. I love him so much he's like a father to me. He's always been there for me when I needed him. He's my only family I have ever since my mother passed away. If I ever lost him I would be so heartbroken. He's always there. The only money we have is for bills and gas only. We really need your help because the house is cracking on the outside and inside we have plumbing problems, mold in some places, some windows are broken, no air conditioning and every summer we have to suffer the heat and I wish we had the money to afford to fix up the house get new flooring, doors windows, get air conditioning, are stucco, put grass, etc but we can't because my husband doesn't make enough money and I have to stay at home with our daughter. It's been hard on us and we really really need your help. Our daughter is everything to us and this home. Please we are begging you for your help. Thank you!!

  51. Hi my name is Sol Kahalewai, I am a father of 9, 6 of which are adults and moved out. 3 are teenagers and we are in the process of adopting 3 grandchildren that were taken from their parents by cps. I am currently disabled awaiting 2 back surgeries and also have a host of other health issues with no income. My wife is the only income provider for our home. Our home was built in 1924 and is pretty old and falling apart our bedroom has a hole in the roof that when it rains the water comes through. We have mold everywhere which my wife is allergic to and causes constant discomfort for her. All the children sleep in the living room which was renovated in 2006 but we ran out of money to do the rest. Though I had hoped to renovate /rebuild this home, there is no way I can afford it at this time. I know my chances are slim to none to get on your show but I hope you will consider us is my solemn prayer.

  53. Hello, My name is Corley Heaton– basically I have been praying, hoping for a miracle. Our anniversary is June 6th, we will be married 4 blissful years. I hope we can have 20 more. I am 50 and my husband is 51; but he has a body of an 80 as his doctors tell him. I've found my true soul mate, my friend, my love– and truthfully I just don't want to lose him. He has tremendous health issues– a mile long. We have a house that is wonderful; but it tremendously needs a pick me up. By trade my husband is a carpenter, but he just can't do everything physically. We just don't have the income to hire; or just get things done. We've done little jobs, few big jobs that we knew it would be economical for us in the end. With my husbands health– he's had 2 heart attacks, plate put in his neck, & eventually he will probably need back surgery. We've even put off getting his teeth fixed because of all the medical bills we have go in order what needs to be tended to; which the second heart attack kind of put everything on hold. I am sorry if I am rambling– this is kind of a last thought I had while he's sleeping. I am filling this out at 2:00 in the morning. Our house is built I believe in the 40s so it is probably not your usual project. Needs new roof, cabinets, bathroom,–really don't know where to start. I know you get ton's of stories– maybe our love story will catch your attention– I'm just a small town farm country gal– that hopes help is ON THE WAY!!

Thank you for reading– Corley D. Heaton

  54. Hello, my name is Sherri McDaniels. I am a single mother of 3 living in Sapulpa OK. My kids and myself currently reside in my grandparents home with my 85 year old grandpa. This is the house I pretty much grew up in. I have a lot of great childhood memories here. It has been a very hard and long struggle for my family threw the years. I have always held a job and done my best to provide for my kids and myself. I have had very little help from the father of my kids or from anyone else. In the past year I have had no choice but to ask my family for help. And by family I am refiring to my grandpa or as we all call him, my papaw. We were homeless and my kids were staying with a friend and I was living in a run down motel in Tulsa OK. My papaw who had lost his wife 4 years ago, (my mamaw) had been allowing my 39 year old cousin and his rifraf friends to come and go at his house for the last 3 years. You see my papaw is the oldest living relative we have. In the last 4 years he has lost his wife, sister, brother, and 2 brother in laws just to name a few. So to keep from being souly alone he allowed my cousin and his so called friends stay at his home. During this time no one would help with any maintenance or up keep on his home. Which is something my grandparents always did until they became to old to physically do it them selves. In fact when my cousin moved in my papaw had money in the bank to pay for any maintenance that needed done and that was all he asked of my cousin is to help do any work around the home as needed. Well instead of helping he began just taking and then so did his friends. Then they got credit cards in my grandpa name and started using them. Running up huge credit card debt that my papaw had no idea about. They would make him go to the ATM and with draw money out of his retirement savings account multiple times a day everyday. Then just out right stealing his bank card and blowing threw his savings accout. They had managed to blow threw over 40,000 dollars of retirement money, thousands in credit card debt and leaving my papaw no choice but to prosecute my cousin. Now that myself and my 3 kids have moved in there is a lot of work needed on my papaws home and very little to no money to do repairs and I work 6 days a week 12 hour shifts, so I have no time to try to do them myself. The homes foundation needs repaired, new cabinets and counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom. A new bath tub that is a step in tub to help my papaw to be able to get in and out of the shower, new tile ikitchen and bathroom, new carpet in the bedrooms. New air-conditioning and heating units, new windows threw the whole home. Just to name a few things. Also, being that we live out of town in the country he has developed a mouse problem that has caused damage to walls threw out the home. This is the home I grew up in. The home most of my childhood memories are from. This is and has always been the place of securitie for me all my life. It would mean so much to me my papaw and my great kids to be able to fix it up back to the way it was years ago. Without some help I am afraid this home is just to much work that I can't afford and that saddens me greatly. So please consider us for your help. Thank you

  55. With a heavy heart, and most of us choking back tears, we as an Acme family are compelled to lend a helping hand. Tom, is one of our fairly newer part time workers. We were deeply saddened to hear Tom's Andalusia home caught fire during the early morning hours of Saturday, May 21st. The cause of the fire is unknown and started on the second floor, traveling to the attic, engulfing the home in flames. Tom was living in the home with his elderly parents, just getting by. Our hearts broke to hear Tom went back in the families flame engulfed, smoke filled home, to save his beloved animals. He now suffers burns to his feet. It was even more painful to see him arrive to work with injuries and a smoke stained shirt, claiming it was all he had. Acme is a family and we are reaching out to state representatives, organizations, and donations, as the family home was not insured. Every little bit helps, please help this family seek shelter and some comfort. Our hearts are going out to the Rispo's during this time of need, and I know quite a few of us are donating clothes, food, and warm thoughts. We can't even imagine what this family must be going through, and how sudden stuff like this can occur. We are thankful that everyone in the home and the firefighters who obtained injuries are okay. Again, anything helps and if you would like to contact me personally with any other donations feel free to contact Amber Fairchild, via email through this page.
    Sincerely, the Acme family.

  56. Hi, I'm Beverly. And I figured I would give this a shot. My husband and I have 2 boys. 6 and 8. We live in the little town of rockwood tn. I work on the ambulance as an AEMT here in Roane County. I love helping others, even when I can't help myself. It's the greatest feeling in the world doing something for someone that could never repay you. My husband works Nuclear security. So basically we are kinda like hometown hero's I guess. Well we kinda need help, a new place, something bigger than what we are in, but we don't get paid enough to get a new place plus all the medical bills I rack up every month. I spend close to 300$ a month in medicine just to keep me going. I have sarcoidosis, asthma, Chf, Ptsd. Sarcoidosis messes with my lungs like asthma but much worse. I have recently started wearing oxygen at night. I also have 5 different breathing medicines I take a day, if not I am not able to do my job. And if I can't help the other people I don't know what I would do. My house I am in was built in 1940. And it's an old 2 bedroom house. It has no.closets. there is some structural damage, has asbestos siding, the floors are starting to rot out. And if we try to do ANY home improvements we take a risk on me not being able to breath and having to be on life support again. And I can't take care of my children or other people. My boys share a room and have bunk beds. The floor in their room has already collapsed in the corner. So whatever I need to do I would do it.y husband has been working alot so we could get ahead on my medical bills. So please keep us in consideration. Thank you and God bless!

  57. This is a request to rebuild a house for my great grandfather and great grandmother, I am sending this because we just recently visited them in Kansas and the trip was more then we expected. I have learned so much about my great grandfather, Philip Howard Fletcher, He is 87 years old and in his life time he was a Tuskegee Airman Mechanic in 1950. He lived in Kansas City all his life and he has built 7/8 houses in Boner Springs Kansas and including his own in Kansas City Kansas. He has lived in his own house for over 70 years he has raised all his children and grand children in this house. My great uncle used to help him take care of the house, but he passed away at the beginning of this year, and when that happened it was like my great grandfather gave up and got discouraged as well. He would love to remodel it but he has no help and he can't move like he used to, he is a construction worker at heart and it bothers him that he can't do anything to make his house more modern and safe for him and his wife. They don't really want to leave their house because of course it's their home, but with the way things look, from what I can remember, their house is breaking… literally. They have a crack in the roof that has gotten worse, and during our visit a storm hit so the crack has gotten bigger, I don't know how much more their house can take. They also have a basement that they built before they built the house they live in now. They had to live in the basement for 4 years before they had the money to build the house they live in now. I went down there and I noticed a lot of things that weren't good either. There is apart of the roof that has some mold or mildew growing, the restroom isn't all that good either, and toilet is unstable and will barley flush. There are a lot of areas that have holes in the roof and things are hanging out of them like wires and other things that aren't supposed to hang from a roof. I am only 21 years old and I have 3 sisters under me and I don't want my great grandparents house to be the cause or the reason why thy won't see us married or the reason why they won't see us further in the future I just want to give back to my great grandparents because they have given so much to everyone else. They don't need anything big just a 2 bed and 2 bath house that will keep them safe. He has such a legacy to leave for us but he doesn't know how even though his heart is not to give up on it there is so much more for him to do and teach us about all the family we have I'm just asking…PLEASE help my great grandparents, it would be much appreciated from the bottom of my heart.

  58. Hi, my name is Mary.. recently my husbands uncle and aunts house burn't down completely.. they have 5 beautiful children. ages 2-16 They lost absolutely everything.. we started a go fund me page for them so they could at least go out and buy some clothes. right now they're staying in a rental house. The father is always out working. mother is a stay at home mom with the 5 children that are all home schooled. financially its tough for them at the moment.. any help for this family will be appreciated. thank you and God bless.

  59. Hi my name is Kaylee Nelson, I'm 16 years old and I live with my mom, 13 year old brother and 9 year old sister. We live in a 20 year old, run down trailer. My mom started renting this trailer from her sister 7 years ago.. The payment wasn't that expensive but my mom could still barely afford it because she doesn't work. She doesn't work because I have epilepsy and she stays home to take care of me. My moms sister and her husband have been ripping my mom off and stealing money when my mom pays the trailer payment. My mom bought this trailer as a fixer upper but hasn't been able to fix much of anything because she can't do it by herself and she doesn't have the money. The trailer is 3 bedrooms but one room is so bad we don't use it. My mom gave the master bedroom to my little sister and I to share and my little brother has the other room.. My mom sleeps on the couch, I feel horrible that she does but she insists. The rest of the house is in horrible condition. The walls and floors are falling in, there are several holes in the floor. We have no air conditioning and can't afford to get it fixed. The ceiling has a leak and so there is a lot of water damage. There is mold in the trailer and the doctor told my mom we have to get out of here as soon as possible because my brother has lung problems. When he was 2 he almost died of pneumonia. On May 14, 2016 we had a house fire, it only damaged the outside of the trailer but it still was pretty bad. The siding is now falling off of the front of the trailer the fire burnt half of our porch up, so we barely have a porch now, and it melted our front door. We've still been living here ever since the fire because we have no where else to go and my mom doesn't have the money to move right now. We really need a new house, it would be a blessing and mean the world to my family. My mom especially, she really deserves this and I want to take a huge weight off of her shoulders. Thank you!

  60. Hello to you all with the BIG hearts! I would like to recommend some very dear friends to me, Larry & Lisa Mancil. They have one daughter, Courtney, whom is handicapped from birth. Lisa actually gave birth to a two-headed baby…Miss Courtney was born with her brain (in a sac) outside her head..needless to say she is a walking miracle to be alive, but she has needs that this family cannot meet. They are constantly helping others by working on their homes & do without in their very small, cramped space in their home. They really need a home that has plenty of space for Miss Courtney to move better instead of worrying about her falling or hurting the shunt in her head..not very many mothers could do what Lisa does to deal with an autistic child…her love for Courtney is tremendous & she goes beyond the call of duty..out of all families nominated for this program, I know this is one of the families who needs your help the most! A new home would provide them with a safe environment & take a burden off their shoulders. On their behalf I ask that you please consider this request..they would never ask for themselves…I appreciate your time…You guys are doing an awesome work in the lives of people who are suffering the most! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

  63. Hello I'm a 24 year old single mother of a four year old. We are originally from Detroit Michigan, we moved to Alabama because o was offered a full ride scholarship to complete my nursing program, upon moving here our house caught on fire and we lost everything a few days later my car broke down and I was missing work and unfortunately school which caused me to lose my scholarship, however I got another car and started from scratch it's been a struggle but I am back in school after months of sleeping in my car I was given a home by my boss to rent out as long as I need it. It's a good house I mean anything is better than sleeping in my car with my four year old but it need work that's beyond my pay grade. After sitting here wondering how I'd make this happen I prayed and this is what came to mind. This is just a long story cut short, hopeful my son and I get considered the house is ours as long as we live and need to be here, I just want it suitable to raise him up in. Thank you for the consideration hope to hear back soon.

  64. Hi. I want to nominate my family. Were from Wichita KS.
I'm not sure where to begin. My dad had lost his job (got laid off) close to the time I was about to have my daughter which was back in 2012. He has since then got called back. Has the only one working. My mom is disabled. She has to get 2 of her toes on one foot removed cause of an infection. Her health isn't that great. My dad isn't in very good health as it is but he's a good man. He does what he can to help out. He helps me with as much as he can cause I don't have a job. I'm in the process of trying to get a job. Its really hard cause I don't have anyone to watch my daughter so it makes it a bit difficult to get a job. My dad has helped out my other sister and her husband but they seemed to take advantage of him. Hes a very caring person/guy Hes says Hes not but clearly you can tell he is. Our house is not in the greatest condition. The felling is leaking from water. You can see it in the bathroom and the laundry room. We own our house. Hes tried to work on the house and tried to fix things that need fixed but everytime we turn around something else needs fixed. We were in the process of fixing the bathroom and couldn't get the rest of the materials We needed. So Its not finished. I have to rely on my parents to get to and from apointments cause I don't have my own transportation that works or is safe to drive, espically if my 3 year old daughter is with me. So of you guys could help is out that would be greatly appericated. Ps my parents don't know that I'm doing this. If i get picked if like to surprise them with it. Thank you sop much and God bless!!

  65. I'm writing for my mother. She is 68 And recently we lost my farther on March 13,2016 to a curageuos 8 month battle of stage 4 lung cancer with metastasis to his liver and lymph nodes. The house she lives in is the house they purchased 33 years ago and raised us four girls in. My father was also a first class drill Sargent in the army retiring in 1994 after 24 years. My mother is ill as well and has COPD AND recently had a heart attack. She remains in the two story home since my farther has passed. Code enforcement is trying to kick her out because she has lost her electric service because she couldn't party three bill and three home its in bad shape the flour of us girls would love more than anything for our mother to have a nice home to live in, one that doesn't affect her breathing. My mom had worked hard all her life and raised us the best she could and now its our turn to help her. Thank you for your time. Sincerely The Orso girls

  66. My request is for my 100year old grandpa. He now has Dementia. He continues to live as if he was in the fifties. Recently he fell and ended up bed ridden. He has this home since the 50's and never wanted to leave. I was born and raised their as when my mother got Gillian Barer and was paralyzed from the neck down he continue to raise me. It was years before she was able to walk and now just walks about 5ft and needs to sit down. My father died recently and so did my brother. My grandfather is the only one left and now it is my turn to take care of him. I would love for his home to be made over. Recently both side neighbors redid their houses and now his looks totally out of place. We just tented it as the termites were completely eating through his floor. He does not want to leave from his home as this is where he has built his life. I would love to help him and continue to live or have my children live where I grew up once he passes. Investors try to buy us out all the time but we love our small cottage. Please come take a look. Thank you.

  67. Hi my name is alejandra martinez. I been living with my grandparents since last year. I been watching your guys show simce I was about 5 anyways I don't know where to start.. I don't have a mom or dad that really cares to much to take care of me so my grandparents stepped up and took me in without them I would probably be dead or living in a foster care because me and my mom don't get along after what she has done to me and put my whole family through.. me and my grandparents live in a small house with two bed rooms hey its still a home but I just wish I could do something for them to show how much i love and appreciate everything they have done for me without them i wouldn't be here and I would pay to redo the whole house but I'm only a sixteen year old with little income trying to save up for a car and college and with my job its kinda hard. I just want the best for them I love them with all my heart and there all I have left. Theres more to this story.

With her Social Security she has not been able to afford to keep the upkeep on her home. Now her homes needs a lot of work it's going down. I would love to see my mom happy again. I am asking and praying for Extreme Makeover on her home. I can not afford to make repair on her home and my sister has a disable son, My mother does not have to have everything new just some things repaired. She spends a lot of her time outside in her back yard planting flowers which she calls paradise on earth. My mother enjoys her flowers. Hello, my name is Elizabeth I live with Daniel Hart who now has full custody of his four year old daughter, Jaiden Hart she has Asthma and was at her moms where she wasn't taken care of she was smoked in front of and ended up in the hospital where she almost didn't make it and after was a week she was sent to her dads with legal custody papers. I moved in with Daniel to take care of Jaiden because she now has to have Ashtma breathing treatment when she wakes and inhailer every two hours she can't stay outside often at all because of pollen and being four it hurts just watching her cry seeing other kids playing outside while she has to wait inside. It makes me and her dad cry watching her. We are having to go through Daniel's trailer taking up carpet and are fnding Mold problems that's hurting her. Her dad Daniel Hart tries as hard as he can to take care of her, it hurts watching him cry while he thinks about her. He's with Springhill Louisiana and Cullen Louisiana Fire Departments and is used to helping and saving others Its time for him and his sweet four year old daughter Jaiden Hart for help!! I love them both and always will!!

  71. We are putting this in for our parents, Bill and Danna Pickell. On March 1, 2015 we lost our sister, their daughter, unexpectedly from community acquired Pneumonia, Overwhelming Septic Shock, Hypoxic Respiratory Failure and Influenza B. She was taken to MCH Hospital there different times in two days, had one x-ray done and without an x-ray tech onsite was told it showed nothing. By the third visit she was fighting to breathe and her skin was turning an ashy grey. It took the hospital quite a long time to get her into and emergency room and just as long for someone to notice how bad her situation was. Once a nurse saw her she was put on oxygen and Life Flight was called to transport her. She was Life Flighted to Nebraska Medicine around midnight, in Omaha NE and coded in route. She was on a respirator and trying to move and looking at everyone. By 6am that Saturday she coded again and things went downhill from there. Late in the evening we were told she had passed and we needed to make the decision to shut off the respirator. Our beautiful sister and daughter left behind and adult daughter and three sons, ages 14, 13 & 12. The youngest of the three boys went to live with his dad. The older two didn't want to leave the last place their mother was and didn't want to go with their dad that was barely around to begin with. Our parents have done everything possible for the two boys. They are getting legal custody/guardianship of them. They live in my parents home, a two bedroom house with a small office room and one bathroom. The two teenage boys have to share a small bedroom that just fits two beds and two dressers snug in the room. Of course, we all know having teenagers share a room is a chore in itself, but put a teen with ADHD in the mix and you can imagine how the days go. Our parents are very proud people and would take their last breath if it meant it could save someone else. They will do whatever it takes to make things a little easier for these boys. My sister and I think they should be helped the same way they have helped others. (They've helped me since I was 5 and had a marker thrown in my eye and went into debt to help me get to where I'm at now with my vision.) If we could afford to give them the house with enough rooms they need it would already be done! Growing up, my parents were always referred to as mom & dad from all our friends and neighborhood kids. Now, they are called G-ma and G-pa to the 12 grand kids and all their friends. It would be awesome if they got picked for this because we think they deserve to have this done for them and the boys. Thank you for taking the time to read our application.
