  1. Hi, this is Michelle. I'm 19 and the daughter in the family. I'm entering to give my family a chance for a less stressful complictated life. We are a family of 4 living in a trailer home with some additions build on. Ever since my mom purchased our home about 9 years ago things have been falling apart and there's no money for repairs. Everything is especially hard during the winter with no money for gas heat. Its hard to heat our home because of the poor insulation. This also causes our pipes to freeze. We have a bad roof we've tried reparing numerous times. Our bathroom is unfinished from previous repairs and the shower stall is peeling and quite icky. Everything is always a mess. "Its always one problem after another" my mom says. Having a nice cozy home where you don't always have to worry about everything going wrong would be a huge relief for my family.

  2. As much as id love to apply for myself and tell you my families hardships( which are many) I know there are people who need you more than us.They don't have access to the internet they don't even have electricity, running water, or heat in this treacherous weather! please take a look at their situation an consider helping in any way possible…GOD Bless the people at Pine Ridge please

  3. hi , my name is haley lewis . i live in amarillo tx and i was wondering if you would consider my aunt and uncle for an extreme home make over . their names are matt ruthstrom and clarissa mcginnis . they have three boys blaike , shane , and landin ,and they help watch other peoples kids sometimes as well . they live in a broken up trailer with everything always breaking . right now their kitchen wont hardly work because of a storm we had , it just blew out the electricity in their stove . they work so hard to help everyone and never expect anything back . clarissa spent day and night helping my granny hellen before she passed . she would get up in the middle of the night just to drive over there to get her a glass of water . and when her niece was hospitalized she was constantly there . my uncle works all day at a steele company that many people have died at just to pay rent .they are so very close to owning the land and the guy their paying doesn't care what they do with it . its just a pile of junk that lights up. they deserve a home that works from the people who love them . and i wanted to show them how much they deserve it . so please consider helping them it would mean the world to so many people. thank you for taking time to read this ,god bless.

  5. My mother has copd and my dad s in remission from caner our home is not wheelchair useable and has mold that doesn't help with her breathing. The house has concrete floors which holds the dust in as well as cold air . the windows and doors allow cold air in the home. The house stays so cold that the power bill is so outrageous because of its installation. She is own oxygen all the time and because of the house she cannot get thru the house. We would like to know if there is anyway you can please help my parents.

  6. Me and my girl been look for places 2 stay & my girl & i got à kid on thé way plus wé wanna you guys help us get à place

  7. Hello my family need help last night a tree fell on my house and i have me my husband and 6 kids they have condemned my house red cross has put us in a motel. Please help me my name is chrystal and chris duncan

  8. My sister and her husband with 5 kids desperately need your help. They both work full time and have done everything to save their house from the mortgage crisis in 2008. They never give up and have been able to keep their house. Everything they have goes to the mortgage and feeding the children. They now have 1 child graduating college, the other graduating from high school, 1 graduated college and 2 in middle school. The cost of their dental, medical and school expenses to care for the children is all that they have. Both of their extended families have helped keep the family afloat over the years. They have never asked others for help. The house is in dire shape. The entire house needs help from plumbing to electrical to cracks, to broken windows, broken sliding glass door, unfinished projects everywhere. The list goes on and on, but they don't have the extra money to fix or repair anything. The children are embarrassed and won't have friends over because of the house. They dream of turning the garage into a teenage space so that they can have friends over. 2 bedrooms don't have closets, so they don't have anywhere to put their clothes. There are so many broken things in this home, it's really really sad. There are cracks in the walls, broken oven, broken mirrors and cabinets. old furniture, and broken chairs. Because the parents have to work full time just to pay the mortgage and provide the basic necessities, there is never extra money. They have worked hard to get out of debt, and they don't plan to spend money they don't have. I just wish that they could get a break. There have been times when there isn't even enough money for food. I know there are many stories like this one, but it would be so amazing if a family like this who has shown how hard they are working to provide for their immediate family, by not living excessively….just being normal hardworking Americans, but they still don't have the money to make their home what it should be or could be.

  9. Hi,I was diagnosed well cancer in 2010.Since then i've had radiation and chemo well unfortunately that just caused a whole lot of other problems the radiation burnt a whole in my bladder to size of a tennis ball also it caused my colon to erupt. I have two daughters and two grandchildren I just want my mind to focus on my girls and my grandchildren and not how this place is literally falling apart and we found black mold I've sprayed it down with bleach but hasn't helped. Their is eight of us living in a three bedroom trailer. I'm so worried that if something was to happen to me what's gonna happen to them. I really didn't know where else to turn.I tried to get us into a house but unfortunately someone out bid us. I really just don't know what else I can do I would really love it if I could just focus on My family and not this place falling. Thanks for listening sincerely Lori

  10. Hi my name is Ny'asia Bailey.I'm 12 years old and i'm from Carrollton about 15 miles from Atlanta.I'm am here to tell you about the best grandmother in the world. Her name is Kathy Taylor she is 48 years old.She has been through alot she was diagnosed with cancer for two years. So I thought that I could bless my grandmother because she has been good to me.

  11. I am in desperate needs for…not myself…but for my uncle and his family. They live in a small town in Texas. Both my Uncle and my Aunt, as well as their son live on disability and have for years. 3 years ago my uncle was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer. I was in the room when they gave him 4-6 months to live. It broke my heart knowing he is my moms ONLY family member still living. He became in remission. He beat it! Unfortunatly during that series of chemo and radiation he lost half his foot because of infections. Leaving it hard for him to get around. About two months ago they took in my aunts daughter and her brand new baby. My aunt worked for YEARS doing home health for people with disability. Also two months ago they found my uncles brain tumor is back. He started chemo and radiation again. And again stage four. Last week he found out it has doubled in size. Last week they were stranded in Austin after his therapy because the water pump went out in their car. At their old house that they have owned for years(which is literly falling apart)…the roof caved in over their bed(leaving him sick now) as well as their water well went out. They do not have the funds to fix any of it! They are the sweetest people I have ever met! In a short some up….my aunt and uncle need help. He beat the cancer once, I want him to beat it again. But I am afraid in the condition he is in…..he won't. And that scares me to death. Please…Please…help him. He deserves that and so much more.
    Thank you! Melissa

  12. Dear Extreme Home makeover, my husband and I got married 8 months ago, I moved to US FROM Africa with my 8 year old son 9 months ago, I would really want a home makeover since our house was built many years ago and I feel that it needs some makeover. I'm not working and my husband is the sole breadwinner but with this opportunity from Extreme Home Makeover I see that my desires of a makeover of our house is around the corner.Would be so much grateful if u consider my request. Thank you

  13. This request is not for myself but for a family who in my opinion is so deserving of an Extreme Home Makeover. From the time my husband and I met this family it has been a true blessing. We moved to Bloomington, Il in 1992 and from the time we moved here to this present day we are considered part of their family. Neither my husband nor I had any relatives here however, we felt totally welcomed in their home. What I quickly learned and observed about this family was the genuine love they displayed among all they came in contact with. They had five children of their own and on many occasions I witnessed them opening their home to foster children and adults without hesitation. Even though their home was small, size didn't matter when it came to helping those in need. Their children clearly understood the meaning of love and shared whatever they were blessed with. I was so concerned with having children, because my husband and I had no family here. Believe it or not my Pastor and his family were one of the first to take care of my babies upon my return to work without looking for anything in return. They give so much of their time and energy especially my pastor out of the goodness of their hearts. Pastor Frank L McSwain is like no other Pastor I've known. He is truly a man after God's own heart, and he is such a humble servant. All he wants is to preach God's word, be a living sacrifice and be pleasing in his sight. Surely he has exemplified such qualities over the years. He is a true miracle and testimony of what God can do in his life as well as others. In spite of what appeared to be an illness with little hope he continues to trust and believe God totally with his whole heart. Regardless of how weak he may be and the pain he often experiences, he still meets the demands of the constant positions he holds throughout the community and the state without question. Pastor Frank L. McSwain knows no strangers. He loves everyone and if he had too he would give you the shirt off his back. He is loved by all who come in contact with him. Some pastors require you to schedule office hours to speak with them, but he's completely opposite. He's very approachable, honest, funny and easy to talk to. In otherwords, he makes you feel as though your thoughts matter. He lives in a home with small rooms and little space which needs some work as well. Due to his illness and the minimal salary he receives ( in my opinion)it is not enough to fix the house up the way he would like to. I believe he is worthy of such an Extreme Home Makeover. It would be such a blessing for him to be able to go home to a nice spacious home to relax after continuous days of meetings in and out of town on a daily basis as well as dealing with his health issues. He asks for nothing and I know at times he wishes he could do more for his wife for the many sacrifices she has made over the years. In my opinion this would definitely be a wonderful gift for the two of them. I'm sure he would not want me to say anything about he and his family, but I just believe in my heart that they are so deserving of it. Please consider them.

  14. I am 34 years old, I have 4 children, 2 brothers and we all live with my mother in a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom home. The house is run down inside and out. We currently have 8 people to a bathroom because the other bathroom is totally rotted. You can literally look in the other bathroom through the sink area. So whenever 2 people has to use the bathroom at the same time, well, that is not a pretty picture. The house has holes in the ceiling and walls allowing stray cats, raccoons, and possums to enter the home from I don't know where and start their families. Imagine waking up to get ready for the day and your greeted by these animals, it sure wakes you up quicker than coffee. The house is depressing. Everyone is coming up with respiratory issues behind all this. We don't have the income to renovate the home because we are struggling to pay the bills that we chip on. My mother is diabetic, she has high blood pressure and a lot of other health issues that has her walking around with a bag full of medications. My mother deserves better and I want to give her some type of happiness when she lays her head at night. So, I come to you for help, please give my mother the home of her dreams. She is not picky, a nice cozy home will do. I want her to be proud of what we all are struggling to pay for, the home she had for 22 years. Please, please, please make it happen for her.

  15. Dear Ty and Team, What a blessing you all are to viewers and recipients alike. We love your show and now find ourselves in a position to ask for your help. We live in a tiny house in Eldred, Pa, lot size is 24 feet 9 inches by 156 feet. We share a driveway with our neighbor on one side and a sidewalk on the other. Our little house has 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath and a water closet under the stairs, a double living room and a kitchen and small den. Because of my husband's disabilities we have a lift for his wheelchair and scooter on the front porch. We adopted a granddaughter who lives with us, although she is now in college and works part-time. Our little house was built in 1900 and is in dire need of upgrades. Our lot is so small we cannot build anything else on it as we need to live in this house in order to either build or set up a mobile home. We struggle on our small fixed income and therefore cannot do any major things as we cannot afford them. Our children are wonderful but can't help us as they all have families and bills of their own. I pray you will at least talk with us and if you cannot help us, perhaps you could give us some ideas that we can afford. My husband is a veteran and the VA is wonderful to help him, but that is limited to just his needs – as well it should be. We are seniors (70 and 66 years, respectively) and the one thing I want for him is to be able to stay in our little home for the rest of his life. Thank you and God Bless.

  16. Hi my name is thandeka (22) in a family of 8 including me and my daughter. We live in a two roomed shack in finetown Johannesburg (south Africa). One of the rooms we use as my mother's bedroom where she sleeps with my younger sister and our younger brother and that same room is used as a kitchen. The other room is where me,my daughter and my other younger sister and our cousin sleeps. My mom works as a general worker at an independent schools where i also work, helping learners with science studies as I did it when I was still at school but then I couldn't further my studies because we also have financial problems. This shack is now become dangerous because when there's rain water pours in and when there's strong winds it shakes.January 2013 we lost my sister's daughter after she got burnt with rice water which we were cooking and the stove was reachable so she just dragged the pot from the stove and then the rice poured over her.She was about 2 years old.She stayed a week in hospital and then passed away.I am now so scared for my daughter because everything here is easy to reach and our electricity is not safe because our shack once burnt and we lost the original electricity box so we just asked people to connect just switches for us so we can have electricity. Please extreme makeover home edition team help me and my family live a normal and better life..I don't want m ty daughter and my younger siblings to experience such a life,I believe they deserve better

In major need of beds, heater, washing machine, dryer – $1 (South Carolina)

Hello, my name is Barbara , I'm a single mother of five children. Long story short im leaving my abusive husband of 15 yrs and im starting over with nothing. God has blessed me with a stove and refrigerator and 2 beds for my 2 oldest daughters and a sofa for my 2 sons to share. My 4 yr old daughter and i share a pallet on the floor next to my sons, but i must say they are the happiest theyve ever been and we can say our prayers and talk and joke and laugh until they fall asleep. Don't get me wrong I do wish I had a bed for each of them and it does break my heart that they have to wear the same clothes several times a week bc they don't have many and I'm washing them by hand so it takes sometimes 3 to 4 days for them to dry do to the weather. Sorry I'm rambling on and on I just feel bad for asking for help and I don't want anyone to think im looking for handouts .
If anyone has a washer and/or dryer they don't need please let me know. I can't afford much but maybe we could work something out, maybe help with some work around your house. Also If someone has any single or bunk beds they could donate or sale at a reasonable price please txt me @ show contact info or respond by email ( I only have this txt app, I don't have a phone) . You could call my mom @ show contact info ( her name is sharon) and leave a message for Barbara to call you back.
Thank you for taking the time to listen, god bless you and yours. Barbara and family

  19. In July of 2008 I was living in a rented, rundown mobile home. My daughter, son in law, and 2 month old grandson lived with me. It was a normal 4th of July, until a tornado ripped our world and our home apart. We were living in Maryland at the time, and couldn't find another place to live that we could afford, so we were homeless…for 4 years. I scrimped and saved and slept on floors and couches of other people's homes until I had enough to buy my own. It is a big, old, ugly thing in the middle if nowhere Virginia. I love it no matter what, but I seriously need help. The oil furnace caught fire the first winter we were here, I went without heat for two winters. Finally got a propane furnace put in and I have heat, but it's costing me a fortune, because there seems to be no insulation. My roof leaks, I tried to see if I could put a metal roof on, but that's way out if my league. We had to rip out most of our kitchen because of the plumbing, so I installed a laundry tub as a kitchen sink. Just hurts my back a little to wash dishes. This place was an old country store at one time, it has tons of doors, which isn't helping the draft problem, but I can't take them down because I could put up new siding. Everything just seems to hinge on something else. I have no storage anywhere, as in closets. The upstairs is like a separate apartment, but nothing works up there either. I'm worried about the wiring, I'm worried about the plumbing, I'm worried about the roof. It leaks! My grandson is 6 years old, he has Autism. His room is right next to mine. I homeschool him too. I made a promise to that little man, he may not have understood it, but I promised him he would always have a home. I guess I just need your help to make sure it will still be standing when my time on earth is up. I really appreciate your consideration. There is so much more to say but I hit the main points. Thank you again.

  20. Hi. My story may not be as sad as everyone's but here it is. My parents and I are having money troubles and could really use help. Our basement is leaking and we don't have the money to fix it. Our garage is falling apart and our roof has had problems for years. We really just need to redo our entire house. New carpet and everything. My dad wants to sell our house but first we have to fix everything wrong. We don't have the money. Our septic system hasn't been acting properly either. My dad has started selling the stuff he has collected over the years and it breaks my heart to see him so sad. He's trying to hold out on selling his dune buggy that he built himself. He's having a hard time letting go because it's the house he grew up in, and the house I grew up in. It would really mean a lot to both my parents and I if we got this makeover. Thanks for any consideration. 🙂

  21. My name is Holli and I'm 22 years old. I'm not trying to help myself when writing this, my aunt just weeks ago lost her home in a fire. Due to a lapse of insurance she was not covered for her 80s model mobile home. During the blaze she was indoors, asleep when he senior dog alerted her allowing her to barely except but her beloved friend did not make it. I think she is a very deserving women. She is more than an ainterview to me she is closer than that, she is my second mother. She currently isn't employed as she works in the carpentry frield and being a women makes it harder to find the work. I hate that she is staying here there and everywhere. She just needs a miracle in her life and if given the chance she would forever be grateful. My hope is to seek her miracle for her as she is so depressed from losing her home, every belonging and her beloved dog Buffy.

  22. My neighbors home burned down on Monday. They have absolutely nothing. They need help in a bad way. But I have no idea how to help them so I am trying here. They are an elderly couple and on a fixed income. Their home was uninsurable, so they are unable to replace what they have lost. Let alone food right now. Pam has spent most of her life helping out at her local church feeding the hungry as well as taking in abused and neglected animal. Frank use to spend uncountable hours repairing vehicles for those in the community that could not otherwise afford those repairs. They are amazing people and are in need of some help. They were donated a trailer to replace the one they lost but due to zoning issues, they are unable to use it because it has to be at least a minimum of 16 feet wide. The trailer they were given was only 14' wide and they were told they would not be able to use it. My heart breaks for them and their situation. The weather is cold here and very difficult to work in this time of year. They do have a roof over their heads at this time because I have lent them my cabin. But, the cabin is miles away from where they live and they have to travel there daily to feed their horses and chickens. It is difficult for them to even afford the gas for their vehicles to drive back and forth. I guess my question is: Would anyone be able to help me find them a donated trailer to replace the one they lost? I know you have people out there that are in far greater need than us. Therefore, I'm not asking to be apart of your show, because I know this is probably not quite what you do. I just don't know what direction to go in at this point. Thank you for your time of just reading this. I completely understand if there is nothing you can do.

  23. Hi, my name is Andrea. This is for my mom who has been hit hard by my medical bills and bills of her own. She bought our current house not really for herself but for me and the horses we own. Since then there has been nothing but problems with not only the house but the farm as well. It's gone from the air conditioning unit to the water heater to the floor in the bathroom leaking. We have done some repair (the bathrooms upstairs) but that was more money out of her retirement. She's in her sixties and I have a chronic condition. Please help me help the one person who means everything to me. Thank you.

  24. Hello my name is Jennifer Ashley I'm 32 and this is for my loving aunt who suffer from the painful cancer of leptoMenenGeal, it is one of the most painful disease that anyone should have to go through, last year my boyfriend and his brother built a home home for my aunt Judy her brother John and judys life partner jeff, however only the shell got finished the walls are up but it's missing the furnace kitchen bathroom everything that a home needs to live in..my aunt has given to so many within the family she is a blessing..she went from waking up one day walking to the next day not being able to she new something was wrong so she went to the doctor being told that she has up to 9 months live.. her wish is to be able to live her last days comfortable to be able to take a shower which now she can't do..walking is not something she can do, this woman I love with my heart as so many do..when God gave me a family he picked all the right ones..but seeing someone you love in so much pain hurts..it hurts to no she can't shower or bath it's hard to no she can't get in her car to take her treatments something she needs, something that can prolong her life..her medical insurance doesn't cover her medicines nor does it cover her to allow to receive help that she needs..like in home care and all of the above.this would be such a blessing to her and all of us if you could fix the inside of her home to fit her needs it would be wonderful to have her final wish come true..please I beg you to read this and help my family..help my aunt smile..thank you

  25. my husband and I have three children ages one, two, and three. We went two years without a working furnace, we have no money now for a new one because my husband lost his job. 28. Hello, My name is Melissa and I would like to nominate my family for an extreme home makeover. I'm not sure how to start but first of all my father is a disabled veteran who has difficulties getting around their 1950ish home that is run down and practically falling down around them. My dads VA/SS disability is the only income they have. My brother who also lives with them helps with finances and repairs as best he can. My mother does not work and recently had two knee replacements done. She has spent the majority of her life caring and doing for others instead of taking care of herself. Also living with them are my sister, brother-in-law and their two year old son. My brother-in-law has had many health issues over the last two years and has recently become paralyzed from the waist down and is in rehab as we speak trying to learn to maneuver and use a wheelchair. Their home is unable to accommodate his need for a wheelchair or any other equipment he may need. It is a small home with only three bedrooms and one bathroom that is not handicap accessible. My nephew only has about 10 feet of play space in the entire house and needs more room to grow and develop. My family have been huge fans of your show for many many years and have seen the miraculous transformations you have performed and the many lives you have changed. Please consider our family for your next project. God Bless you and thank you for all you have done!

  29. Dear home makeover, my name is Trina…I really dont know where to begin because I was raised to keep family provlems/hardships within "the family" however im at an crossroad of what my family does and what normal people do in a time of crises. My grandmother is 72 soon to be 73 years old, she is the Queen of this family, yet she has no kingdom. Her and my mother worked the majority of their livea to insure that everyone in the family always had a place to call home that was all their own, but the wear and tear and the unfortunate fabric of life, left the home that they attempted to make into a homestead, turned into this nitghtmaric shell of a home that is barely livable. Myself and my two daughter's live here now also and I can see the steady decline in the interior as well as exterior, the plumbing is horrible and the electricty is a mess… I really can explain all thinga that are wrong with this home, its alot….but at the end of the day, as of now its all we have. But as bad as thingsmay sound we are a family and we have endured a lot worst, so if this gets lost among all of the lletters im sure you get daily, thank you for you time and all the good that you do for those in need.

  30. Hi, my name is Fay, I nominate my family because we have a family of five and live in a 2 bedroom house. My husband works in the oil field for a living, it's a scary and life or death job. We have 2 boys and 1 girl. The 2 oldest share one room and the youngest shares our room with us. We found out last summer that we have mold in our closet and we can't do anything about it. Child protective service's has been called on us numerous times because our place is to small but we can't find anywhere to live because everything is to exspensive and the banks won't give us a loan for a decent place to live. We had to have one of our best vehicles up for repo because we couldn't afford the payments every month. Our place is falling apart and it seems like our lives are falling apart as well. We have tried everything to buy a house and to move out of the one that we are living in but everything keeps getting in the way no matter what we do or what happens. We have huge medical bills that we can't even make payments on, we can't afford our electricity bill or even our rent. We have our family helping out with bill's and using vehicles so my husband can get back and forth to work. We use his dad's truck sometimes to go grocery shopping because the other one we use wouldn't make it to the next town. Ty we need your help so bad! We have come to a loss and we don't know what we're going to do or even how were going to find somewhere to live that will fit 5 people that's not falling apart and that has mold in it! We would be so honored and Blessed if you helped us. We haven't had a good 3 year's on anything just peer bad luck on everything. Thank you 🙂

  31. I am asking that your team consider my sisters home for a makeover.for twenty years she has been trying to do repairs on her home. There has never been enough money to purchase supplys nor to hire help. She has spent her life helping others with any needs they may have. This past year there have been up to twelve people moving in and out of her house. With no help from any of them she has used her social security to provide food, shelter, transportation, clothing and paid all the bills. In 2012 her husband passed away and the following year her only daughter. She never complains about anything and at times has gone without food to feed others. If anyone deserves a little help it is her.I would love for her to have a warm comfortable home. She never ask for anything and just takes life as it comes. And for her it has been a hard one.Thank you ever so much for making it possible for me to submit this request.

  32. Hi there my name is Kathy. I don't know if you do this kind of thing for Canadians but here is my story.

I have a deep sadness in my heart for all the children that are waiting for Forster homes or are looking for adoptive parents. I have been through an intense 24 hour training session which explains what childern in foster care have lived through and the difficulties they are facing. We can't bring any children into our home because there aren't any extra bedrooms. A child coming into a home needs to have an actual bedroom not that I think that is a bad idea I just haven't a room to give. Our house design doesn't even give space to create a room. Also from the training I have been to I have learned of the emotion these childern have and to begin with I don't know if that is something I would want to have around my children full time every day. What I am praying for is a home specifically for as many children as possible to come into. I was thinking of maybe buying a duplex or a old rundown house that had a large piece of land so that I could build a dulex on it and keep a hole in the wall between the two houses with everything both houses need in each and have the kitchen running on both sides of where the hole is in the wall for one big kitchen. This is so that one day if we need to move some place bigger because we can afford a bigger house to bring more kids in we can do that. I wanted to fit in as many beds as I could and wall beds in cabinets in livingrooms for people that just need a place to stay sper of the moment. The vision I have is a future of many many children that grow up under our care and they come back every Christmas to a big dinner to celebrate their lives as they have grown and they can bring their children that they have through the years to the dinners with them to see where they got their start. Every child should have a mom and dad they can count on to be there for them when they fall as they grow up. If they are driving down the road one day and they get a flat they should be able to call home for some help. Or a new mommy that just needs a mom to call for advice or a shoulder to cry on if needed. That is why I was going to put a sign over the door that said "HOME" the reason I haven't been able to do this yet is because we seem to have one issue after another. Our hot water line got a pinhole in it and it destroyed our storage room area right close to Easter in 2012. Then one year later on Easter morning 2013 our sump quit and flodded the rest of the basement. These two were thankfully covered by insurance. Then in February 2015 we found water on the carpet in our Livingroom at 2am. My husband went back to bed because he didn't want to deal with it as he was already sleeping. We got up in the morning and realized the roof was not built right from day one and it has caused the whole outside wall to rot along with all floors of the house right down to the basement again. Long story short insurance does not cover this one and we have been doing the work our selves. We only have the top floor left on our 4 level split. The cost has been close to 50 or 60 thousand. (Really don't want to know for sure) we cash flowed as much as we could but now we have a debt to pay off so it sets back helping other children that would really like a place to call home now. Please don't make this next part publicly spoken on television : I was in foster care when I was younger as well so I have experienced some of this and I thank God that he placed me with such a loving family. This is a very sensitive topic for my parents and other family members and I don't want them reliving it again all over TV. My youngest brother had his son taken away when he was 3 months old and my sister had all 4 of her kids taken away all due to neglect. I have 3 children of my own and when they were young and all this was going on I just kept my kids away from it and I hadn't the means to take all those children in myself. The 4 are all over the age of 16 now but their lives have been tough with the added issue of 3 of them having sever mental disabilities.

Please help me to help other children in need. All I want is a home for them. Not our home finished as we can do it with a little time. I also don't need lots of interior design I want beds in rooms with doors and lots of them. I never have had glitz and glamor in our home because my home is a place for children to play with basketball hoops in the Livingroom and a big blowup bouncy house and a air hockey table and train table in the basement and we are soon getting a fousball table this year. Outside is a trampoline and pool. (Landscaping, what's that) money is spent on fun because I love children and to see them laugh and be happy is what I love most in life. I hope and pray this may be possible in some way. God bless you for how you have blessed so many.

  33. I would like to nominate my son Kert, divorced father of twins. My son bought an old farmhouse with dreams of remodeling into his dreamhome. He and his ex-wife could not conceive, so money was well spent on procedures to have children. After many tries they had beautiful twins, a boy and girl. Before the twins were two, they are now three, their mother pulled out of the marriage. My son has been extremely kind to her even though she had a lover. He respects her and loves her because she is the mother of his children. They share the children equally, and show their children much love. He acquired the farmhouse, however, he said it reminds him everyday of her. He is an excellent daddy as well as a very kind human being never saying a word against his ex. He had to pay her for the house. His kithen cabinets are falling apart. He fixed them, but to no avail, they are beyond fixing. His love and kindness as well as being a hard worker deserves to be rewarded. His heart is in limbo and has been since his divorce. He puts on his daddy smile the moment the children arrive. He does everything. He cooks, does laundry, cleans floors, gives tubbies and keeps those children happy. He works full time and when he doesn't have his children, he works side jobs. He so deserves a functional kitchen.

  34. Hello, good afternoon, my name is Veronica and I'm 18 years old I live in Port Lavaca Tx. The reason I wanted to get in contact with you guys is because I would like to recommended my mother for this big opportunity, and the reason is my mother has been an amazing mother she has 6 sons and 3 daughters and she has raised us all on her own, my dad disappeared in 2002 but was basically never in the picture, we have lived in many places sometimes for only a day two and have slept on the floor for almost all our lives and there was a time that we even lived in my moms van for a while everyone since I've been with my mom I've seen her work and work all the time we have hardly gone out all together as a family my mother is a true inspiration to me she has always protected us and has gave us as much as she can she has gone days without. eating when we were small just to give it to us she would work weeks straight with hardly any rest and she still does it my mothers dream has always been to have a livible home she can call hers. Ever since I was little I can remember my mother siting outside of whatever place we'd be at looking towards the stars praying to God to help her obtain her dream of owning a house and that she will never give up and One Day God will help her (one day is something she has always said sincere were really little)I admire my mother so much she is 45 and works at a plastic company not many woman work there, every time she gets out of work she comes home tired struggling to get walk 3 steps to enter the house the has to be someone at the door to help her get up those 3 steps she gets home aching with bruises on her legs or cuts on her fingers because the plastic roles fell on her leg or the machine didn't want to work and she had to climb on top of it and fix i. It makes me so sad to see my mother this way. I'm 18 I recently graduate high school last year and I entered college I'm the first out of all my family I know it means a lot for my mom for me to attend college but its really difficult, my scholarships grants and loans made it a little easie, I moved in with my boyfriend to a small place that my mom told me wasn't a good place its was to small and was a to bad conditions that we could get hurt or something I told her it was the only place we could afford and was still a 30 min drive to the college we experienced many difficulties we had our car reposesd and my mom took us in my initial plan wasn to take a quarter off of college but we haven't been able to make money Tto move back and I haven't told her I might not be able to attend College I know she will understand but it makes me feel sad knowing she wont quit working untill she can help me with college and try to obtain her own home, it makes me feel I'm letting here down and instead of taking a weight I'm putting it on. My mom Isuch an amazing woman who has helped many people as much as she can she has helped my brothers and I so so much. For these and many other reasons I beg you consider my mother in the magnifi Cent heart changing kind acts you guys do. Thanks you so better much for a moment of your time, may God Bless you guys, Sincerely the Rodriguez Family.

My uncle has passed away recently. And his children are now living with my mother and father. The ages range from eight to eight months. They live in a tiny house with seven children. The reservation cannot help her with anything. Nether can any of our distance family members. Her brother passed on and she had no time to grieve, I know she feels like it's not real. now she's raising his children. It's a lot to take on for her. She hardly eating and she has to meet with the child welfare expectation. My uncles ex girlfriend is not fit to take care of her child herself. She needs a bigger house, she deserves a bigger house. I will do anything for her to get a chance to get a little help. I can't help her too much as I have a newborn son. My mother has already raised two of her late sisters children that are grow and they are doing well for themselves. My uncles children need to be with my mother because she's raised so many amazing kids. And I know these four babies will be safe and happy with her and anywhere else. I don't like to beg, but please consider my mother. If you need anymore info. Please email me. Thank you!

  39. My wife and I, both 55, moved into a two room school house in 1992. We have been married 34 years this June, have raised two great children, and now have 4 grandchildren. I worked for Frito Lay as a route sales representative for 20 years, before having to retire in 2010. We spent most of 2005 seeing doctors and in January of 2006 I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. In April of 2014 I had Deep Brain Stimulation surgery, which has helped with my tremors, but I've still struggled with stiffness and slowness plus my balance has gotten worse. My wife Betty, had neck surgery in 2012, and has not been the same since. Our house is a bi-level, has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, only one with a bath/shower. Our kitchen and living area is in the basement area and the sleeping area in the upper. We have a room which was a small gym for the school with a stage area, that we some day wanted to turn into our kitchen and living area and would make everything in the upper level, only 3 steps up which is more important now given our physical limitations. Our house is in a rural area in a small south central Kansas community. We need to make a decision to downsize or remodel ours to accommodate our limitations and we really love the room we have, especially for our grandkids and would love to stay put, but financially and physically can't do it ourselves. We would love and appreciate your help. Thanks for considering us for home makeover! The Hostetler's

  40. Hello, my name is Latorra. I'm married with seven kids. My story is my husband is disabled and can't work. He has DVT's (blood clots in both legs & in his lungs). It's scares me being that he's only 43 I'm 32 and we have 7 small kids ranging from (12,11,10,9,7,5,3). Back in June we lost our house being that I couldn't find any work and my husband SSI check couldn't pay our rent because it was only $721. So our family doesn't help us so we had to sleep in our car with our kids for about a month. Then I finally found a job at a Call Center and was able to get my family out the car and into a hotel. It hurt me so bad that I couldn't put my kids a Christmas tree up or buy them anything for Christmas. They deserve better. I love my babies with every breath in my body. The problem is we be looking for houses to rent but they will not accept my seven kids. It makes it very hard and frustrated. Then my babies be asking me is we going to move in a house Christmas time. You can imagine it's real crap in the room no privacy at all. The one wish I have is that I can put my family in a house so that we can sleep in our own rooms and our own BEDS. We can't even eat a home cook meal. I cry every night and pray to God that I can be able to find my kids a home so we can be like a normal family. My husband uncle did give him a trailer that needs LOTS of work to it but I can't put my kids in it because of the conditions. And it's hard to save so we can work on being that I have 9 people to take care of including myself
    PLEASE HELP US!!!

  41. Hello, I am the mother of a eight year old special needs child. We are in desperate need of a home make over to make our home handicapped accessible to be able to keep her at home with us. As time goes by she is getting bigger, making our everyday task harder to care for her and in some situations as lifting her out of tub could be dangerous. My daughter depends on someone for 100% of her survival, she can not walk, talk, crawl, etc., but she is the most happiest child ever. We have a very nice home but it needs to be made into a handicapped accessible home for us to care for her properly. My biggest fear in life is not to be able to care for her one day, and that a day will come to where we would have to put her in a home. A home makeover for Hope would be such a blessing to her and to us as parents to never have to worry about providing the home environment she needs to be able to stay home. Please consider us for a home makeover…

  42. I would really like to help my grandmother. The reason why I'm reaching out to you because she's losing her house it's under foreclosure it's no beauty but she loves her house. she will be 66 in March and she will lose her home in April. I'm in desperate need of assistance if you would please contact me I could go into full detail about the condition of the house etc please contact me asap! Thank you -Angelica

  43. I would like to nominate my boyfriend. I feel I cannot do justice to what he has done for me , but I will try.

In 2012 I decided to move to Waterbury to be closer to my job. I took in a friend under the agreement she would take care of the apartment and my fiances dog ( who i was homing at the time). I paid the bills i bought her clothes shoes food anything she needed. I even lent her my car if I was unable to drive her somewhere she needed to go. Over the next 6 months, that girl I took in had gotten into my bank account, stole my credit cards, lent out my cards, set up online accounts with my payment information, destroyed my apartment, brought in a homeless girl who slept in my bed. She brought in friends who threatened me robbed me damaged the apartment even more and ganged up against me voicing their u want of my presence in that apartment. My relationship on top of that fell apart as well she I started seeing how much even he was taking advantage of me.
My parents were in no position where taking me in was a possibility, and the landlord couldn't help me either.
I was trapped talking to police had angered these people in my apartment more. I had to choose between trying to continue living in this small, dirty, bug infested, fecis covored apartment, with people who had expressed a dangerous amount of discord for me, or I could sleep in my car. I was scared.

But there was a young man I had befriended at work, who over time we had grown very close. He was my best friend, and he saw how much trouble I was in. He took me in with him and his father. Telling me I could just stay and not have to worry about anything, and paying his father rent for me to stay there without my knowledge. And when my old room mate came back into my life playing the same tricks on his father as she did on me. She drove me out of that home and him into just as much if not more debt then me. Sean ( best friend and now boyfriend) not only brought me to his mothers but continued to help his father. He then suprised me within all of this asking if I wanted to buy a house with him. I deserve better then Bouncing between homes and he wanted to make sure I would always be safe.
so he went out and bought us a house. He bought a fixer upper home which at the time was fine with both of us. But not even a week after signing the papers we got robbed. We lost all of his tools ,my grandmothers jewelry, all of our plumbing , and more. Shortly after that I got laid off and we had the winter of 2013-2014, the coldest winter on record in 100 years. Other then a minuscule wood stove in the basement and a couple space heaters we had nothing. We struggled to keep the house above freezing. . And what made it worse was durring one rainstorm, the snow had melted and flooded the basement soaking all of the wood. But sean worked though many nights splitting and drying out wood. on top of all that, I had started medication for ADD which had sent me into depression, and then we got robbed again. The made off with the new medication and cash, among other things.
Sean spent the summer and fall working on the house trying to patch leaks replacing windows and collecting as much wood as he can to prepare for the next winter. Our house is still uninsulated and far from was to be in. We struggle to keep it at 45 deg . But through all of it sean still makes sure I'm safe and reminds me he loves me.
He grew up with his father helping him pay bills as a child in school. He mowed lawns , picked up scrap metal, even walked around getting bottles and cans to cash in. He spent his whole childhood helping people and now his adulthood. The thing he loved the most , and would spend all his free time on , were his cars. He loves classic cars and has a few he has wanted and is trying to fix up. But now he cant even do that. We have no garage for him to work on them, and the closest he has to a shop is our basement, which not only has barely enough room to walk, but you can't even stand up straight.

I love this man dearly. He has lived an incredibly hard life and never let it make him stop trying to help. He deserves a home that he can relax in. A home where he can go to and work on his cars in a garage. Not have to worry about rain or snow. He has a warm and beautiful heart and deserves a home to match.

  44. My name is Anne and I'm 13 I live in Plymouth, Wisconsin and my family is extremely involved in the community. My father is a teacher at Fairview and one of the freshman football coaches at the high school. My mother is the boys swim and dive head coach and also the head tennis coach at the high school. In the duration of about 7 years we've had 5 foreign exchange students, one from Austria, one from Norway, one from Iceland, one from Finland and one from denmark right now. My parents go to almost very high school sporting event they can attend and my mother takes lots of pictures at school events and loves to do it. With my father being a teacher in Wisconsin there's not much money and there are a few problems with the house, water, cracks in the walls and ceilings and only 1.5 baths. My mom is the children's ministry director at our church and works hard but there also isn't a lot of money there. My parents both love their jobs and are extremely involved in the community. We love this town and our life but it definitely could be better.

  45. Hello!
My name is Marielys Llerena. I don't have a sad story to share. I have a story of faith and perseverance. In 2007 while I was 8 weeks pregnant with my son, my husband was diagnosed with a grade 3 cancerous brain tumor. We sold our home and all we had in Hudsonville, MI to move closer to family in Miami, FL. My husband, Greg, underwent 2 brain surgeries. Although my husband had a terminal diagnosis, we never lost hope or faith that God would heal him. After my son was born, I went back to Law school as Greg was undergoing chemo. During my last semester in law school in 2010, my husband took a fall down stairs after a seizure. He suffered an additional traumatic brain injury that put him in a coma for 3 weeks. Surprisingly, Greg recovered from all of that and I was able to graduate. We have had many blows, but with God's help, we have always bounced up! Miraculously, Greg has not had any tumor regrowth since his last surgery in 2007. We have two beautiful children now, and although Greg still has a few deficits as a result of all this, he is doing great. Because of some financial set backs, we sold our current home to downgrade to a house that needs significant repairs. A home makeover would give us a peaceful space for my husband to get some much needed relaxation. I would love for my children to be able to have a nice outdoor play space. We have been truly blessed to have come out victorious through all of this but a home makeover would add to our amazing story! You could not find a more grateful family to bestow this opportunity on. Thank you for your consideration!

  46. Dear Home Makeover, I would like to nominate my husband Paul for an Extreme Makeover, I've watched your show and this would be more of a unique and different opportunity for you. When Paul and I were dating we shared with each other what our passions were, mine was horses and his was cars. We agreed to support each other in these passions. After we were married we found a home that could support both of our passions that was miraculously within our budget. It has a little bit of land and a shop for Paul to restore his beloved 1979 Camaro Z28 in.
The shop needed a lot of work and we lovingly call it a Frankenstein building because it was built with multiple add-ons, different materials, the floor is uneven, the roof leaks and it has countless gremlins! But these thing didn't stop Paul, he got right to work doing what he could to improve the shop and start restoring his car. But last November we learned that the wiring in the shop was all wrong when in the middle of the night a wire carrying 220 volt failed and sent 220 voltage through the entire shop! We were lucky the the whole thing didn't burn down! All of the electrics and wiring in the shop are fried bringing Paul's dream of restoring his car to a screeching halt. Paul has been so down-hearted and overwhelmed with the task of fixing it that we have even talked about demolishing it and starting new.
This is where you would come in. Are you up to building an updated workshop? There is a large open space next to the existing shop that would work great to build a new one, move all his tools and car part over and then tear down the old. Paul is such a wonderful loving husband and father to our 2 kids ages 4, 2, and one on the way! And it breaks my heart that he can't make progress on his dream that he has worked so hard for. Especially because he has supported me so much in my passion and dream (we were able to purchase a horse a year ago). So like I said, this isn't your typical "home" makeover but when it comes to my husband, I feel it is just as deserved. Thank you for reading, and I hope you will consider our story.

  47. My story is: We really need help because we just had two house fires. One on November 21, 2014 and the other one was on February 4, 2015. Our first home was completely destroyed and now our current home has a lot of smoke damage and in my laundry room has to be completely be repaired along with a few little spots in our bathroom and our bedroom. We are now living with my in-laws in a 4/2 mobile home. They are in their in the 70's and has health problems. I am 33, my husband is almost 51 our little ones is 15, 13, and 10. They also have their son here with his girlfriend and my little family of five. We are trying to get our new home that out last fire was in repaired. Its a two bedroom one bath mobile home. Its not even 1000 square feet home. I have health problems along with my children. We also have some mental problems and I'm on the border of being mentally challenge. I can't work so I get SSI. My oldest had ITP which is a rare blood disorder. He was a patient of St. Jude's. We still half to watch him because his platelets still drops. His normal range is 60,000 to 80,000 for his platelets. We lost everything in our first fire. It started from a dryer. We also lost four kittens and one puppy in our first home fire. Ever since our first fire we have been sick and now can't stop scratching and no one knows why. How much more can a family handle. I have been in and out of mental hospitals. Now since our first fire my husband has got told that he has depression so he's on medication. I am on a lot of medication anywhere from my fibromyalgia, asthma, bronchitis, IBS, among other health issues. I can't afford my most of my medications so I half to pick and choose what medication I get that month. Please tell me what do we do now. I don't know anymore. My kids is having a really rough time. If you don't pick us we understand. We really need help. If you don't pick us do you have any suggestions on how we can get help. I am at a lost and can't do it know more. I just don't know anymore. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

  48. Dear Todd,

I just want to say my mom is a loyal viewer of your Home makeover show. She likes the work you guys do, but she really loves how you change people live. Mostly all my childhood and adult life. My mom has always went out of her way to help the needy. There have been countless holidays she has invited people to our home for dinner. Lots a times we had to give our seat to people we didn't know. As children we couldn't understand it, as adults we find ourselves modeling our mother. With a family of seven children and no father,my mom kept us safe and clean throughout our school years. Plus attended church, minister to the sick and shut in. Feed and shelter the hungry and raised numerous of fatherless and motherless children in her home town. Unfortunately, my mother the helper of many, had a stroke which paralysis her left side.

  49. Hi my name is Erika Harris, my father move into a house and is currently working on it. I think it is dangerous for his family to sleep, eat, and work on the house at the same time, and kept spending money on supplies and not having enough money for food. He lives in Memphis, TN. I am his only biological child and I hate to see him struggle in this way. He has been through a lot, for example his favorite puppy ran away from home and was never found this happened in 2012, so he bought 2 more dogs, Gismoe and Chocolate. Gismoe was his 2nd favorite dog and he died in 2014 a week before Christmas, this was such a shock to all of. I really think this is extreme makeover: home audition will make my father's life a whole lot easier than it is right now.

  50. Dear extreme home makeover
I don't have much to offer, nor have an overwhelming hater felt story to tell. I am just a single mother trying to get by for my two daughters. I currently work two jobs to try to support them, I do it on my own and my number one priority is ensuring my girls happiness and health but I fear I am failing at both. Trying to keep up with bills and maintaining to home we were given by my parents that my ex husband attempt to renovate is putting toll on myself an therefore not allowing me to be in the right set to take care of myself and my girls. The father punishes us for me leaving him and his alcoholis habits and doesn't pay child support nor offer any help to support the girls. They want to live with their mother but I feel that our home is becoming a health hazard and is very hard to hear as its electric heating and from my ex's renovation, there's drafts and holes everywhere. Also my water lines freeze on a daily occasion.
I do everything a mother should be doing for their children, I give my last breathe for them, I pursue them to follow their dreams and hearts and to be strong, but it is getting very difficult to keep encouraging them when I don't feel it in myself anymore. I hope that you can consider our home to be made over and that way we can get into brighter futures with a safe home for the 3 of us.
    Thank you

  52. Hello my name is Lisa, and I would love to nominate my mom! I have watched the show since I was in my teens and always hoped that one day my family could have an extreme home makeover! And now almost in my 30's I still have that same wish but for my mom. She has and will always be an incredible strong woman. She had always worked hard to support her 4 daughters, and now disabled she is no longer able to work but still works hard to take care of all 5 of her nephews and nieces in a 1 bedroom house while everyone is working hard. So when all the kids are at gramas they all have to be crowded doing activities. For a few years she has tried to fix up her house. So she saves and saves and little by little she gets small things accomplished. It's amazing to see how much hope and happiness she has when she talks about one day finishing her dream house. This conversation has taken place years after years. And it's heartbreaking to think she might never get to have her dream house. I know she will never give up and always keep trying to find the funds and time to fix her home. I hope an wish that one day she will have her dream house. And that me and my sisters can see her enjoy and relax for once in a home that is done. No matter what I know she will always be grateful. Thank you so much for the time and for an amazing show!

  53. Hello Extreme makeover…..I am a mother of three children and me and my husband have medical problems….I have diabetes, high blood pressure, neuropathy, depression, sleep anemia, fatty liver, kidney disease, migraines, chronic diarrhea and then my husband has a real bad back problem and he cannot work…. And I cannot work anymore. My daughter has a hearing loss on Herr right ear and my youngest son had ADHD. We live in a two bedroom home with my three children and my husband has his oldest daughter and her two kids living with us and also my husbands twenty three son living with us also. My husband has his three daughters and three grandchildren and a son in law living right next door to us and they use our utilities. We only have one restroom and I have to use the rest room a lot and i have a lot of urine infections if I hold my urine because of them staying in the bathroom too long. So we were in need of a new home with only my three children and my husband. Please help us!!!

  54. The Scarvelli family is much deserving of a home makeover. They live in a old farm home on 3 acres of land. The house is very small and hard to get around. The scarvellis have been very strongly involved in foster care for many many years, they don't have a bad bone in ther bodies. The oldest son was in a motorcycle accident where we was left paralyzed and their lives were all impacted severely. He is trying his best to attend college for a degree in engineering. This home is falling apart and is not wheelchair accessible at all, it would be a dream come true for this family to get a home makeover it would help out tremendously especially for their son to be able to propel through the house and not be stranded to one area of the home. They would eventually like to get back into foster care but since the accident it has been much to hard. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

  55. Hi! My name is Lesley Gonigam and I am the Personal Assistant Coordinator at Illinois Valley Center for Independent Living. We are a non-profit organization that focuses on insuring that people with disabilities remain independent in their own homes with the help of Personal Assistants. We also do Independent Living Training, Youth Advocacy, Community Reintegration for people under the age of 60 who are in nursing homes, and advocacy for accessibility. You can check us out at ivcil.com. I would like to nominate a consumer of mine, Jody Hart. He is single, living in his own home with his elderly mother who is 78 yrs. old. He was born with sight but, at the age of four, discovered he had Type 1 Diabetes. In 1997 he became totaly blind because of the diabetes. He has also developed Neuropathy in his hands and feet, which means he has no feelings in these extremities. I am currently trying to get him a Personal Assistant to help him with cooking, housecleaning, laundry, and giving him his insulin. But, because the house went without needed repairs for years, and he couldn't see the need for repairs, he now needs a new bathroom (the floor is rotted through), a new floor in the kitchen (missing lots of tiles and tripping on them), a new roof, new ceilings because of the leaky roof, and new windows because of water damage. He is in debt up to his ears and cannot take out another loan to fix up his house. You are his last hope of keeping his home. If he can't get it repaired through you, he will lose his home and be forced to move into a subsidized apartment. He mother will probably have to go into a nursing home, which she doesn't want to do. She has a part-time job to help with the bills. Help me, Obi Wan Kenobi. You're our only hope!
    Sincerely,
    Lesley Gonigam

  56. Hello Home Makeover,
My name is Danica Entzminger, I am a huge fan of your show and am inspired on how you are always making it possible to complete individuals life who are on the last straw of strength to help them push through and remind others there is people who are out there that want to help, such as your show.
I would like to tell you about an elderly lady who lives in Alberta, Canada. She is an amazing strong individual who needs help. She owns a self sufficient farm, who recently lost her husband to cancer who was her everything. He helped with the up keep of the farm and animals. Now that he has passed the farm is starting to fall apart and the buildings are no longer able to accommodate animals forcing her to sell them and down size. She doesn't have many people to help her, including myself anymore as I had to move away. I know she wouldn't want me writing to make people feel bad for her because she is one of the strongest individuals I know. She does as much as she can for other people and if you were to knock on her door she would make you tea and lunch with pleasure. I really hope your team is willing to help her out and would be so blessed if something like this would happen to such a wonderful person, Erika.

  57. Hello! My name is Tracy. My family is getting ready to adopt a 4yr old little girl with special needs. She was placed with us at just 3months old. She was a sever abuse case from a neighboring county. She had a number of brain hemorrhages and several bone fractures. The forensic pediatrician testified that her injuries happened over time. She had not been expected to live but she fought with all her little heart and soul had to fight with! The neurologist told us her outcome would be bleak! There is nothing bleak about her!She is a happy, funny, fiestie little girl. She does have delayed verbal skills and cannot walk yet.She needs a one level home with wider doorways and room to get around in her stander/walker!Our current home is broken up into four levels and she cant get very far without falling down steps! She deserves a home that can help her heal and learn to walk! 58. Hello my name is Stacy from Spencer,WV. I would love to have a home makeover so I could have my sons medical equipment out of the middle of the living room floor. My son is 9 he was born with double pneumonia and has continued to have major health problems and lots of hospitalizationd and surgeries. He has had every test in the book and they cannot tell us what is wrong with him. We have even went as far as taking him to Denver, CO to have test ran to see why he stays sick with lung and breathing problems we still have no answers. He has been on antiobotics and steroids since he was born and now the steroids have affected his eye sight. We take it 1 day at time and hope that someday they can tell us why his lungs and breathing are the way they are. But until then he will continue with meds and nebulizer treatment , smart vest, and sleep machines. I also have a 16 year old that would love to have her own room and not have to share with her brother.

  63. I am father of three boys ages 6 7 and 10 yrs old I am homeless and without a job I need help to find a place called home for my boys can you please help

  64. My sister is having a lot of problems with degenerative bone problems . She is scheduled to have hip resurfacing done on February 18th . I am very concerned for her well being . She lives in our childhood home . It is a split level ( actually four levels) , she has a dog and four cats. I am so worried as she is alone , no spouse or children who live nearby to assist her. I am 800 miles away . My hopes and prayers are that she could be blessed with living space that is all on one level . This is not her first surgery for joint issues and she is only 53 years old. I am afraid that if her health issues progress , she may one day be confined to a wheelchair .Our mother(who just passed away in October) was bedridden for seven years, much of her problems related to severe arthritis . It would be such a blessing if my sister's home could be transformed into a one level living space that is wheelchair accessible and also pet friendly .

  65. Dear Extreme Makeover, I have followed this show since it started. I never thought that I would be finding myself in need. I'm 59 years old my husband is 64 he retired due to illness and I recently had to stop working due to my asthma and heart. Also I have a blood disorder Protein c deffiencey. I'm active with my church as much as I can. My husband and I took all his 401k and purchased a double wide mobile home in 2008. Since then our health is worse and home is falling apart. My husband is a good man he has worked his whole life and never asked for help for nothing. We have went through many struggles since I got sick 4 years ago my health just keep getting worse. Recently I fell through the back porch and hurt my hip. I can't hardly breath in this home. My husband is a diabetic and he has a nerve condition. He loves autos, he sold his corvette just to make repairs on the house and here we are 2 years later and struggling to live free of falling or having a severe asthma attack. I understand my heart is weak and I may not be here long but if I could apply for a makeover I would love to do so. My husband and I keep talking about going to the Bahamas for a few days and I told him we could not go because we can not afford it. Our home is paid for we owe nothing on it.Yes it is in good to donate to someone that has no home. Please send me an application.

  67. Hello, I am Christina Wingfield, I am sending this for my son, William and his wife April. They live beside my mother and father just out of Sneads, Florida. They have 2 boys 5 & 18 months. Even with both of them working full time jobs they have hard times. They are back home staying with me at this time. The older double wide they live in needs more repairs than it is worth. They recently received there income taxes back and started on the repairs. They started with tearing out the bathroom and walls in the back bedroom. There was a water leak in the wall that they was unaware of. It was running down the inside of the wall to ground under the trailer. Finally found this. Once the tearing out of walls, they ran into more problems. Black mold was all in the walls an installation. All this had to come out as well. There was also bare wires in the walls. Bless them, it's a wonder the place has not burned down. God forbid something happen to my kids and Grandbabies. They had already purchased thousands of dollars of materials for all these repairs and started the work. Today when they were working again found that the frame was also bad. It is all rotted from termites they did not know was there. Just can not catch a break. I help them as much as I can financially. It has been about 6 months ago that Aprils car blowed up, I did co-sign for them another vehicle. They are trying to see about buying a used trailer to move in and get rid of the other wore out one that they can not live in. But I don't know if it is possible. They really do not wish to abandon their place, nor do I wish them to. They keep an eye on my elderly parents. It is nice knowing someone is right there with them in case of an emergency. They do not know that I am sending this, I really would like some help for them. They truly are hardworking, and try to better themselves. I would like to see something good come there way. If you can find it in your hearts to help them, we would all be so thankful and blessed. I know there is thousands of people in the US that need help, I am just asking for a little. Thank you so much for listening to me

  72. Hi there! My name is Addison Neikirk. I'm am submitting this for my girlfriends mother Shirley Rios. She lives in the small town of Montgomery Texas and is the most beautiful soul I've ever met. Even though her mobility is restricted by her knees and her numerous health conditions she still does every thing she can to help out anyone who needs it. She's my second mother. Anyone who knows her just calls her "momma" she currently is living in the almost dilapidated house she grew up in. Everything is broken and I know she doesn't like living like this. She can't work because of her health problems otherwise she would fix this place up. By picking Shirley you would be doing the most kind and gentle woman in the world the thing she deserves.
