hi my name is maryam and i am 14 years old i have 4 brothers and 5 sister we only have 3 bedrooms and we need bigger space
Hello Extreme Home Makeover. My name is Jasmin Anaya. I have always been a very big fan since the age of eleven and now I am ninteen. Every year since watching you guys I always think of a person very close to me who I know would deserve something as spectacular as this. My grandparents. My grandparents have cared for all their children and grandchildren their entire life. They had my uncle who has down syndrome and autisim at a later age in their fourtys they are now in their fifties. My grandfather is the only one that is currently working and my grandmother just takes care and helps feed all of her grandchildren a total of nine grandchildren, nieces and nephews and of course my uncle with down syndrome who is only turning fifteen. My uncle had surgery as soon as he was born as an infant, and multiple times after. Recently he just had hip surgery but has also had multiple surgeries to attempt to help him talk. My grandmother has also recently had problems with insects where she was bit in the face and had to be hospitalized because her entire face swole up and they could not find what had bit her. They've also had many issues with their neighbor where the police has been called for the children making to much noise or my uncle not being able to be himself. They have faced many struggles but I would just like a better living for them for all the hardwork, and caring neighbors and community members they are, you can ask anyone. They live in East Los Angeles and I just could not think of anyone more deserving. My father and my grandparents in laws have slowly tried to reconstruct her home but I just feel like it would not compare to the amount of help and living you guys would be able to give to my uncle and grandparents. Please choose them and help them. If not I will continue to look out for applications every season because my grandfather is getting wore out with the constant work he's done his whole life and never stopping to make sure everyone has enough and to meet ends meet at the end of every month. My uncle I'm sure would more then appreciate it and I just hope you guys choose them.
I am writing to you in concerns for my parents. Over the past few years my Mother Wilma, and My Father Gary have been having a hard time maintaining their home. My Father is the hardest working man I have ever seen. Even at 71 years of age he still does a lawn service business to help with income. My Mother over the past few years has had a heart attack and has been diagnosed with COPD. The home they live in is a make shift mobile home/ranch. The hall ways are very narrow, the bathroom is old and musty. My mother needs a sit down tub for safety. Also over the past 4 years I their son have become ill and my parents have been gracious enough to let me stay with them. I live in a stream line travel trailer on their property because I am allergic to staying in the house for long periods of time. My parents have always put mine and my brothers needs first when growing up, and even now with my illness my folks have helped me out. My Mother with her COPD has to be on oxygen several times a week, and with the limited space in the home, my Dad has tripped over her oxygen cord a couple times. Also my Mom I believe is also having allergic reactions in the house. With the hard work and devotion to their family over time, and with certain events that have taken place throughout their lives their home unfortunately does not reflect the hard work they have produced over the years. Don't get me wrong, they have pride in what they have, and they make due with what life has offered them. With them aging and life events that makes it a little more difficult to take care of their home (My Dad still climbs on the roof at 71 years old to keep it clean and to clear out the gutters) I am worried that their home can cause more health problems in the long run. Their is some sort of mold in the house. My nephew, mom and myself all have a very hard time breathing in the house during the fall/winter months. The plumbing in the home is outdated, the bathroom is not designed for older people., it is a huge step up into the tub for my mom. I would just like them to have a home that is easier for them to care for and also cares for them a little more. I love my mom and dad and wish that I could do this for them. But my health conditions limit me to do this for them. Their home also is not energy efficient. My mothers medication bills are almost $1,200 a month depending on what prescriptions she needs refilled. I also see worry on their faces when they are writing out their bills every month. For 2 people that have known each other for over 60 years and who have been married for 50 (They didn't get to have a 50th anniversary celebration because my mom was in the hospital for 8 days when their anniversary came and went) I believe that they deserve better than what they have and a safer more health and energy oriented home. My folks don't need or want a mansion. But a 2-3 bedroom ranch with a full bath and a half bath would be a castle for them. My dad is the biggest Red Wings fan aside from my brother and I, and my mother is a very crafty person. Stained glass, silk flowers, sewing and many more. My parents deserve a comfortable life. I wish I could do this for them. Please help me make their dreams come true and their lives a little easier. Thank you for taking your time to read this and have a great day, Sincerely M Jones
I would like to apply for the Extreme Make Over because the house that i am currently living in with my husband and two kids i am suppose to purchase it but my settlement have not came in yet but let me start from the beginning. I got into a bad car wreck December 1,2014 the other driver hit me from behind going a 120 miles per hour and this is when my whole life came crashing down in front of me; I lost the only sole means of transportation, half of my life, and job.Until this day i have not got back on the right foot yet.I have alot of medical bills i lost my home and i have not got the settlement from the accident as of yet.My children and husband have lived with family on both sides and was put out so we finally saved up alittle change to rent from a nice lady but the agreement was for my husband to rent and i was to purchase the home and however my husband got injured on August 4,2014 and has been out of work every since and she wants to evict us and sell the house from under us and now we will have no where to stay again. His job do not want to pay workers compensation and send a letter on October 15, 2014 that he was terminated and the wreck left me totally disabled and i have been fighting for my disability and i keep getting turned down.I even tried going to work but could not make it and it is hard on us the bills are piling up and i try to be strong in front of my kids but it is tearing me up inside.Plus half of his earnings goes to child support and this why we are so behind and i think i am going to loose my mind. Please Ty come to Baton Rouge,Louisana and my family out.Because the house needs alot of work and it is very very old please. Thank very much for the opportunity to apply for your make over.Sincerly Yours,Tonya Jolla
Hey, I'm not sure if you do your makeovers in Canada, but I thought I would try anyways. My little brother was hit by a roller coaster at the Red River Ex here in Winnipeg Canada on June 20th 2013. He was pronounced dead at the scene and revived in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. He was 16. My little sister and cousins were right there and watched it all.. I lived about 2 1/2 hours away at the time and I raced to Winnipeg as soon as I found out. When I got there the doctors told me my baby brother had two hours to live. I didn't want to say goodbye.. My mom was planning the funeral, my entire family was there. The doctors said it would be rare if he survived, because he had many many broken bones, like a broken spine, leg, arm, and suffered from a C1 break to the neck and an internal decapitation. My brother remarkably survived! He is here today. The doctor said he would have brain damage, he would be a vegetable. My brother has NO brain damage! He's the same teenager on the inside, he's an incomplete quad, which means he has feeling in his entire body, but he just can't move. He's held captive in his own body.. When this happened to him, our family was never one again. My brother is living on EIA with my mom, he doesn't have a home to call his own, and living from check to check. My mom does all his care, puts him into his chair, changes him, feeds him threw a hole in is stomach and he has to get suctioned threw his tracheotomy all the time. But you know what? He still smiles. He still has hope he will walk again, and he keeps pushing. He has his days were he wants to sleep and never wake up, and today was one of those days, that is why I am writing to you. I KNOW that I he has a home, a nice home, to call his own, he will feel like it's worth living. Like it's worth it to keep smiling. To keep hope alive. It's hard.. You would never think a freak accident like this would happen to your family. Adam was an out doors kind of teenager, validictorian for his grade 8 class, he had a future. I need to him to know that there is still life in his soul, and that he needs to keep on pushing..
Hello I am contacting you because my home is in dying need of repairs, I have lived in my home for 14 years with my husband and our four children. We live paycheck to paycheck we are barely maintaining with meeting our bills now. It's seems year after year our home is falling apart, I'm not even sure where to begin in the master bathroom our floor has water damage the tile is separating from the tub you can see through the floor down to the ground, then all the carpets are separating from each other, a few years ago we had a tornado and the company that was hired to repair our house did not repair it properly our roof has water damage and leaked down onto an electrical socket and almost started a fire and the side door of our home is pulling away from its frame again. Our kitchen drawers are breaking and the cabinets also. My kitchen floor has water damage due to the dishwasher and refrigerator leaking. We smell mold but we don't know where it's coming from. Our deck is just falling apart along with the front porch rails. The siding has holes in it. It seems every time we were able to save up some money something would take place that the money would need to be used first our vehicle had to be repaired then the a/c had to be repaired. Our family really needs help to get our home back in order.
Thank you
My husband has a chronic absess and has had for over a year now. Between November 2013 and March of 2014 he had at least 6 surgeries. Not including Emergeny Room visits and is now facing at least one more surgery. I cannot work because I have to clean the absess and even wipe him after he uses the bathroom. On top of all this, the state won't give us daycare vouchers because my husband doesn't actually receive disability. I would also like to bring my brother in law home to live with us who is in a wheelchair but our house is not wheelchair friendly and he is being abused where he is being mildly abused. Ty please help us!!!

Hi, my name is Erica and I am the mother of a 2 year old name Charlie. He was recently admitted to Shriners Hospital for Children due to a burn injury he endured on July 7th. He was burnt in an accident due to a grill exploding. I havent been able to go back to work due to all the work I have to do with my son. We do bath and stretches twice a day. We lost our house due to not being able to work and currently living with my mother. It would be great to be able to have Charlie his own room and something he can call his own. After everything that has happened I want him to have the best childhood he can have. Especially since most of them will be spent in a hospital having surgeries until his adulthood. No child should be taken from their childhood. My child was and I want to be able to give him everything he deserves and so much more. I appreciate you all taking the time to read this, Thanks!!
Howdy. Earlier this year I started volunteering for 2 incredible people who own and run a horse ranch dedicated to helping and healing people, mainly children, through therapy with horses. These people, John and Sheila Robinson are a young, vibrant couple who spend all their time working on this project: a non-profit organization. Their students have many touching success stories where, through horse therapy, they have improved from mental and physical disabilities. I am sure you a few of these students would share these stories with you too.
John and Sheila were recently married and live in a small, simple house on their ranch with JOhn's 2 daughters. Apart from their house needing to be bigger, they also dream of having handicap bathrooms for their students built and bathrooms near the classroom arena for parents of students. Their classroom does not even have air conditioning. There is a lot of renovating and building that could really help them out.
I should probably mention that they also rehabilitate mistreated horses . In face ABC 15 Arizona covered a story on this a while back: abc15.com/news/region-phoenix-metro/central-phoenix/phoenix-rancher-gives-abused-horses-new-purpose-
If you would like anymore information, please do not hesitate to contact me!

We are in need of a Community Building in our town. Recently, the roof fell in on our old building and we no longer have a place to gather. This is the neatest town I have ever seen. The town is Jerico Springs MO. It's known for the healing spring that the old settlers came across years ago.(Settlers came across Jerico Springs when they fell ill, they drank the water from the spring and they were healed. They decided to settle in the town for this reason.) The history of this town is amazing. We have a population of a little over 200 people and we are a very close knit community. The community building is used for our monthly town dinners. We meet the first Saturday evening of every month and the towns people bring a dish and we all have a meal together. The ladies in the town have a quilt club where they gather at the community building and make quilts together. Without this building we are really out in the cold. There are no other businesses in the town, except for a post office that is open half the day. The town cannot afford to rebuild the community building. We would be thrilled to have Extreme Home Makeover come in and build us a new community building. Our town really relies on this building for gatherings. We use it for our Annual town picnic where the ladies of the town serve meals. It's a very important part of our town. I would really hate to see these gatherings go away due to not having a building to go to. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!! The building that fell in was over a hundred years old but it was home for all of us. The people in this town are family and they would do anything for anyone. Please help us get our community center back together. It would mean that we could continue our town gatherings for many years to come. It would really be nice to have a building that had things for the kids in town to do as well. They really need a place to go and be able to have a good time. THANK YOU!!!

Hello, My name is Stacia and I'm writing on behalf of my boyfriend, Alden. We've been together 5 years, he's the most generous, kind hearted person you could meet. He's always looking out for other people before himself. We currently live together in his house that once belonged to his grandmother. His grandmother came down with Alzheimer's and became very ill. She went to live with family friends once she realized she couldn't live alone any longer. My boyfriend and his sister would pay the family friends to care for their grandmother. We would visit occasionally, but we did not feel welcomed in their home. One day, we received a letter from the grandmother's life insurance company, we found out she had been dead for 7 months!! We had been paying these women to care for her and they were just taking our money, telling us everything was fine! My boyfriend, Alden went through probate to get the house in his name. Even though the house is a blessing for a young couple like us, it needs MAJOR cosmetic work that we cannot afford. Then, a couple weeks ago, we woke up to the house being on fire (electrical fire due to OLD WIRING)!! We had bad damage, not major, but it's driving me crazy to think of how we're going to take care of everything. Alden has had a rough life, his mother committed suicide when he was 12 and he would love nothing more than to fix up our home and keep it in the family for many more generations!! Fixing up his grandmother's house is extremely important to him and his family. Please, please help us!!!
Thank You,
Stacia

I am writing on behalf of my sisters home. Me, my sister, and my niece live in a little three bedroom townhouse that my sister struggles to keep nice, considering we live in a poor area. She also has a poor job where she works everyday to support us. She is a single mother. My sister is 29 years old, I am 19, and my niece is 6. My sister took me in when she was 21 years old, I was 11. I have never met my father and my mother wasn't a mother figure. I am now near my sisters age when she took me in and I couldn't imagine raising myself and a child by myself at this age. But she did, for me. As I've gotten older I have become very grateful of her. I go to a community college near my home and am doing everything I can to become a nurse so that I can support her like she has done me. She did everything she could to give me a better life and I just wish I could do something to repay her. I know there are many stories that you have to choose from and my chance is very low but please consider us. Thank you.
I need a house makeover for my parents who both have disabilities and have a hard time walking for long periods of time and our house is very old & it isn't working for us , we basically need a new everything but our financial stance is horrible and can barely afford new clothes for me or either of us. we can spend a certain amount for each month before bills and its very limited . please reply to my email we would LOVE the help.
Hi there! I am writing on behalf of my older sister and her family. She and her husband have the most giving attitude of anyone I've known. She teaches tapp and jazz for a dance studio in ohio, makes very little and puts basically all she has back into the studio for her students. She has done so much for her family, church and her students over the years, I couldn't begin to write it all down. They rarely ever buy new and are grateful for any and everything they have. Times have been hard for them the past so many years. They bought a house around 10 years ago with hopes of fixing it up and making it more livable. Unfortunately, the time/funding have not been available. They were able to finally get new windows for the house due to black mold growing and always getting sick and all. She and her husband and all four of my nieces and nephews are good people who would never ask for a thing, and I don't know of a family more deserving. I asked her why she's never looked for another job, where she can make more money or do more things. She replies with "My dance is my ministry, it's all i've got to give." Many dance studios these days choose costumes that she does not see as acceptable and often use songs that are not appropriate for young ears. They allow her to be open about her faith (but never pushy). She talks to her students about eating right and loving yourself for who you are, not how you look. She and her husband are EXCELLENT role models and inspire all the people around them to give more and want less. Their house needs so much help, it actually just needs torn down and to start over. But unfortunately instead of ever spending money on themselves, they put it into their own kids, family, church and her students. She is a true artist, an amazing talent who has had knee surgeries and other issues over the years that have kept her where she is. Please, please consider these amazing people. I promise you will not be disappointed. They will win your heart. Thank you so much 🙂

My fiance and I have 5 children ages 7, 6, 4, 4, and 2 months. We live in a 2 bedroom 1 bath house that is falling apart. The roof is leaking and the floor is breaking. We need help. A few of the outlets have caught on fire because the electrical system is severely outdated.
Hi I'm writing this for my family were a combined family on a very tight fixed income and a total of 6 kids…. I have a set of twins and one has Cystic Fibrosis and high risk. Presley has been in the hospital most of her life and has had life threatening trials from birth. We have always lived in the country for the most part and face a home with water damage, mold and not very good instalation and is very costly. I spend a lot of my extra money in gas going to and from the Children's Hospital in Kansas City. I use to live closer to the hospital but my love of my life and my support system is here in Bonnots Mill Mo who took my kids and I in and gave us a home and the love we deserve! I'm trying to work around the clock to life better for her by staying home and only work one day a week cause her care is full time with G tube feeding medications treatments lots and lots of pills everyday. Her life shortening disease is none curable and I wish I can give her the life and home she deserves she is only 4 year old and I really want to give her a fun room and place to be when she is down and sick and to make her treatments fun and as pleasing as can be… she recently got a port put in because her veins just have nothing left this amazing daughter of mine never complains when having surgery or when she can't have fun when her siblings are due to long treatments and medical care. She spends alot of her time in the Children's Hospital so when she comes home I want her to be comfortable not crowded and to have fun in a special room just for her please help our Presley get a safe and wonderful home she deserves.thank you and God Bless
I have a friend in Michigan and together we have a dream of building a safe house for abused families and animals. We have been challenged at every turn. We have a home that we were remodeling slowly. Michigan, is a state that is doing away with coal for electrical power. After taking a trip in September to get some home supplies, we returned and turned on the lights and everything started falling apart. The house came very close to burning down because of electric surges. The electric company cut the main wires going to the home and we now have no electricity or running water. The electric inspector is fighting us tooth and nail and he insists the house should be torn down and rebuilt. My friend had to take her children to her moms to ensure their safety. This home and this safe house is our dream and we will make it a reality. We are hoping that we can get some kind of help to make this dream come true. I must also mention that we have been informed that Michigan is not allowing additional state sponsored safe houses as they do not have the funds to support any as much as they are needed. Our home will welcome any abused people and animals and we will be solely responsible for all expenses.

My name is Alexus Cooper and I feel like my family should be on extreme makeover home edition because my mother deserves to come home and be comfortable. She works a poor job and doesn't get paid much but she makes sacrifices to get us everything we need and sometimes things we want. She struggles everyday at work and has to come home to a messy nasty , poor house. She buss her butt everyday but nothings going right for us. She works hard everyday to try and get the house renovated but it's not enough. I want her to be able to have a home to come to and be happy. She's never happy because her job stresses her out and she doesn't really have a room, we turned the side porch into a room for her. I'm only 17 and I'm tired of seeing my mother struggling and there's no progress . I watch your show all the time and it would mean get honor if you help me make my mom's dream come true
My name is Taylor Zorman and I am writing to you because my parent’s house is in desperate need of repair. My parent’s do not like to ask other people for help, but instead they help other people. You see growing up wasn’t all that easy. Mom worked, and so did dad, but even though both of them worked, it still wasn’t enough to meet ends meet. A lot of times we have had to ask Grandma to pay some of the bills in an effort of not losing our house. My parents are both wonderful people, who care for other above their selves. If one of my friends was struggling with not being able to afford cross country shoes, my mom would buy them some (if we had the money at the time), or give them an old pair of ours. My dad refs football as his second job and he bought a little kids football gear who wasn’t going to be able to play because his parents couldn’t afford it, even if he didn’t know if we would be able to pay our bills the next day. Growing up I ran cross country and track, but my father wasn’t able to make it to most of my meets because he had to work two jobs so we could pay the bills. Now, it is hard on my parents, especially since I me and my second oldest sister are in college and my oldest sister has moved out. My parents really want to move, but the reality is they are in far too much debt and probably will never be able too. This past weekend my dad tried fixing the tile in their shower and one of the tiles fell off, and the whole dry wall was mold. Our house is full of mold, and we just don’t have the money to fix it or move. My parent’s rarely ever get anything nice for them, so I just ask that you take this into consideration. They both work two jobs to try and make ends meet, and sometimes that doesn’t even work. They are both kind hearted people who put everyone above their selves and I would just really appreciate if something nice was done for them back. Thank you for your time.
Hi I am contacting you for my In Law's that are both in there 70's can one of them douse not drive any more and have to rile on the family to help out with the shopping for the grocery and cleaning the house. OK Maia Spight
I am writing this as a person who lives in an apartment and am in a wheelchair. I know you do homes not apartments but I was wondering if you had ever thought about helping out individuals who though they rent apartments they cannot seem to find ones that are more wheelchair friendly. The place I am renting does have access for wheelchairs but the bathrooms are not so much so. The kitchen though I can get into it is not very wheelchair friendly either. I hope to move in the early part of 2015 but have yet to find a place that actually caters to wheelchair bound people. It would be nice to find such a place on the East side of Tucson AZ that is and also affordable for someone on a fixed income. Have you thought about helping someone in such a situation. I think I would like to see that kind of thing. I do not think I would qualify as I have a sister who helps me out even though she to is limited on what she can do.
Hi! My name is Marisa withers. My husband Andy and I have been together for almost 15 years. We have two sons. The oldest, Cody, is 16. We adopted him and have raised him since he was a year old. We have a 6 year old son of our own named Joe. 9 years ago our trailer burned down and we lost everything. We did not have insurance so we had nothing. We started working on a farm about 4 years later that provided a home. When joe was 11 months old him and I was home alone in bed when the gas heater in the living room fell off the wall and caught the house on fire. By the grace of God I had woke up and was able to get us out alive and unharmed but yet again we completely lost everything. The guy we worked for replaced the house. However 3 years later he told us he was laying us off work and had 2 weeks to get out. With no home of our own we had to move in with Andy's parents. We are now living in a camper behind his parents house. We are now taking care of and raising my two god daughters. One is almost 2 and the other is 5 months old. We are now a family of 6 living in a small camper with only Andy's income.
Hello. My husband and I are raising 5 amazing childrenbin our 3 bedroom home built in 1949…. Needless to say there is a need for remodeling, new windows… And another couple bedrooms to be built. We are quickly out growing our home. My husband works hard. I'm looking for work finally after my 3 little girls started pre school. We need your help. We have been through a lot as a family. Please consider our family for a home make over. It would take a lot if pressure off and heal many wounds.
Hi my name is Lakia and yesterday Oct 13, 2014 a Storm hit Monroe, Louisiana. Our family home was destroyed by the weather causing 2 trees to fall on the roof, Only 1 room in the house is still in good condition, about a month ago our house was robbed, losing everything my mother have worked hard for, now a month later we loose the house I was born and raised in. My mother is the owner of the house, have stayed there for over 50 years and it seem like the harder she work and bless other of the community, church and family members, the more the devil try to attack and steal our joy. Once we was robbed, my mother decided to get an alarm system but didn't get home insurance so now we have to try to come together and raise money and get loans to try to refix the house back up. I'm just asking if it's anything the extreme makeovers family can do to hep our family, I would really truly appreciate it. THANK YOU!!!
My name is Hannah, I am 17 years old and I live in Addison, Maine. For the past two years my family and I have lived on a trailer lot where my neighbors are just terrible and throw rocks at my dog, they have threatened to burn our house down and throw us off the lot because they are actually our landlords. We have nowhere to go and can't afford to buy a new house, we could move the trailer but the trailer has mold all through my mothers room and in my window, my sister who is 10 and I are very allergic to mold and can't breathe sometimes because of it. My landlords constantly complain about my dog but I have to have my dog especially at night because I have extreme night terrors and my dog is the only thing that helps me not to have them. I have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety and am going to be checked for PTSD. My sister is also being tested for PTSD because we have both been treated horribly by our biological father. We are in the process right now of trying to find a place to either put our trailer or to move to but we can't afford it, my mother is a single parent and takes care of my sister and I completely alone, she works nights which puts much pressure on me. I am practically raising my sister because my mother can't do it alone. I don't even get breaks from my sister so we are always together except for at school. This is my senior year of high school and I'm trying to make school my top priority but I can't do that if everything is my responsibility. There is also a hole under the bathroom sink which let's in a lot of cold air and I have no heat at all in my room and in the winter it gets down to 45 degrees or sometimes even colder. The bathroom and the kitchen sink are both in danger of falling because in the kitchen, the counter that it's in is completely detached from the wall now and the one in the bathroom, the counter has rotted. We need help getting somewhere that we can feel comfortable, I do not feel safe staying here with just my sister at night because my landlords are crazy. We need to get out of here as soon as we can, the trailer and location is not safe by any means. Please help, we can't do this alone.
Hi, my name is Kelsey, I am 27 years old and i have 4 children. Two boys, ages 10 and 5. And 2 girls, ages 7 and 1. We live in Oklahoma, in a town that has very little job opportunities or just employment at all… We are currently HOMELESS… we just recently got evicted from the home we had last week for paying our rent late. We have been struggling for most of the year. My husband is a carpenter. He builds houses. He works for a company that is union carpenters but this year it seems like the need for homes to be built at this time is very little. I am currently trying to go back to school to better my education so i can provide for my family the way I want to but its hard to make goals and follow through with plans when I don't have a foundation to plant myself. My two oldest kids had to go and stay with my mother about 20 miles away because we are staying in a motel room with very little space at all. I don't know what we are going to do. I need a miracle. Please help me and my precious children. They deserve so much more.
My husband is a member of the millersburg Lions club. His club raises money for eye research and also donate gifts to family's at Christmas and donate money to cancer research and Ronald McDonald house. The money they make off of renting their building is used for donations. They also do a fish fries and turkey shoots. The building is very old and needs major up dates. This pass year the a/c Unit was stolen for the cooper. So the money that we use for donations had to be used to buy new ones. Their just a old country club that comes together to help the community. We love for them to have a nice club house that they can be proud of and that they can rent out and make more money to donate.

My name is Nicole. I'm writing on behalf of my family, unbeknown to them. My nephew James, who is now 23 was diagnosed at age 14, with cardiomyopathy. At that time my sister, Shondra had a set of triplets (Ashton, Asha, Ashley) that were one yrs old at the time and going through a divorce at the same time. James, ended up having to undergo a heart transplant during that time in which we almost loss him three times. While my sister stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in St. Pete with Jay, my mom, Sheila (who is such an AMAZING woman) and I took care of the triplets. It was not an easy chore caring for triplets, working and trying to go to school at the same time of being supportive of my sister being at the hospital and having to drop her classes as well, due to James' illness. We are now living all together in a four bedroom, one bathroom home. The triplets, who are now ten, have to sleep with my mom, my sister and myself. My sister have all of the triplets things in her room, which is not spacious at all. James is now on dialysis due to one of the medications that he must take in order to live. We are getting ready to go through the process of testing to see if I'm a match for James. Our home is not in the healthiest condition for James and it is small. It is growing mold and my mom retired early to help my sister and I on after school fees for the triplets. Even though my sister have so much going on, she still finds the time to try and give back to the community, by feeding the homeless. Ty, we are in such GREAT need of your help. We are busting at the seam. Ty, Can you and your team please help us?
I'm writing on behalf of my mother, Joyce Lewis in El Centro, CA. She has a small three bedroom house and have raised 6 kids of her own and now she is help raising two of her grand kids and she also take care of two of her great grand kids. This is the same house we grew up in and all six of us still come back to visit. Her kichen is to small and the bathroom needs to be remodled. The bedrooms barely fit a full size bed. Now my baby sister had to move in with her and she is on dialious because her kidneys are shuting down. And she couldn't take care of her self. Her and her daughter now live in the house with my 76 year old mother and my neice and if you could do them a favor and bless them with this makeover I will greatly apreachate it to the fullest. Maybe one day we will all be able to come and visit my mom and it will be enough room. Any thing you can do to help them me and my sisters and brothers would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
Dear Team, I'm writing in regards for my brother. His daughter April is 36 and was diagnosed with Huntingtons disease at age 18 and was put in nursing home at age 26. She has lost her mom at age 40 her aunt, her uncle grandpa and a cousin due to this disease. She has been unable to walk for about 4 years and has a hard time talking. Her food has to be pureed so she doesn't choak. My brother likes to get her out and bring her to his home but it is getting harder because he can't lift her on his own anymore. Her wheelchair will not fit in their home. Even if it could they don't have a ramp. He has to physically carry her put her in his truck with help. His wife is getting ready to have back surgery so she can't help lift her. My brother faithfully visits her daily. But if it were easier on him I know he would love bringing her to his home. He works so hard at his job and then dealing with his only daughter who will never get any better. He deserves to have his daughter at his home more than he can. Please Ty and the gang help my brother out. Thanks and God bless you all.
I am contacting you for a friend that is homeless in Albuquerque. She owns an acre of land in the desert and is living in her suburban on it. She has rigged up solar panels so she can get online and take college classes. She doesn't need a big fancy home, just a roof over her head and basic needs. It would be great to see you help someone with this type of need.

I am writing this story on behalf of my daughter, Tiffiny.
Tiffiny, her husband and two children live in the country in a average size home. Both Tiffiny and her husband volunteer in their community as volunteer firefighters and do so many things for others in need. They have hearts of gold and have never asked anyone for any help.
They have a son whom is 11 years old that is severely handicap. He is in a wheel chair, has epilepsy, legally blind, has a feeding tube, two shunts (from previous brain hemorrages) and in and out of the hospital twice a year for neurological problems.
They do not receive any type of government assistance whatsoever and have always done a great job at doing everything they can to provide all the medical necessities for their child.
The home they live in needs a lot of modifications to accommodate their son. He is 11 years old and Tiffiny is having to pick him up each day to carry him into the bath tub to bathe him. She has to carry him through the house to get him from one room to the next. This home has no wheel chair accessibilities at all. He is almost bigger than she is. I know there are many options out there to modify a home but without any type of help financially, there's no way they could afford those types of modifications. They really need a home makeover and we would be very blessed if you could assist them with this.. Thank you so much for taking a moment to read their story and we hope to see you soon!!!

Hello. In the house I live in is an old farm house. It is a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bathrooms, a family & living room. Everyone who lives in the house is: My fiance's Grandma(Deanna), his Mom(Jackie), Me(Heather), my fiance(Chris), and our son(Brayden); so 5 people in a 3 bedroom. We are kind of like the modern day Waltons. We all live together to help each other out. Jackie is a leukemia survivor and is now suffering with nerve damage. Chris has Ankylosing Spondylitis, Crohn's and Colitis. My fiance, Chris, has lived on this farm most of all of his life so we would like to just fix it up to where he will be comfortable and that goes for the same for my mother in law Jackie. I would also love for my son to have his own bedroom with a door. He sleeps in the living room.
It would make my family so happy if you could help us. Please?
I am apply for my mom. She has had a few years of bad luck. In August 2011 my dad had a horrible car accident. Mom took off work to be with him till he recovered. She finally got to go back to work when in July 2012 my mom got bacterial meningitis. She was in the hosptial for a couple months. She got out in September. On September 26, another horrible day hit our family. My dad passed away in our front yard from a heart attack. Mom was still on leave from her bacterial meningitis. Her headaches and dizziness were still more than she could take not to add the deep depression from losing my dad. She also helped take care of my grandmother prior to her illness. She was back to helping take care of my grandma trying to get back to work and return to as much of a normal life as she possibly could. In October 2013 my grandma fell ill and was in the hospital. We later place in hospice house where she passed away. Once again she took a small leave from work to get everything taken care of and deal with the much more added depression. In July 2014 straight line winds blew a tree onto her house, destroying her home where she resided with my dad. In august she had to have hernia repair surgery. Needless to say it has been repeated tragedies for her. I would love to see the house remodeled where she could returned to it. Financial struggles are hindering this. I feel she is more than deserving for the help. We would all be forever grateful for this opportunity.
Hi,
Where my Mom and Tom, my step dad live in Plano, TX, they're/we are the 3rd owner of the house. I understand my mom and Tom have been working on the house, it needs a face lift! I am 32, my younger bro, who's in the Air Force, will turn 31 later this year.
My 2 step-sisters (are younger than I am) aren't living at my Mom and Tom's home anymore. They are: Lauren and Julie. Lauren's
daughter, Penelope stays, and sleeps at their home when Lauren needs for them to babysit her. My Mom and Tom's back yard isn't a fab place either. Espc. the gate. Where I have been living in Dallas, since "06, those of us go home one weekend a month, every month.
My mom/Mom and Tom's home desperately needs a face lift!
P.S. I like the wood flooring they installed in my room! I have wood flooring in my room (which is in the back of the house, AKA near the garage) because my mom accidentally spilled some Drain-o on my carpet. That left a blue mark on my carpet, even though my mom started vacuuming my carpet.
My Mom and Tom's home NEEDS a face lift!
By the way we have/there are 3 cats there.
My Mom and I got Trio during the Fall Break of "99. Winston is Penelope's cat, Do-koose is Lauren's cat. Lauren got her (cat) in the country, Turkey. She can be nice, but w/ no warning, she's SSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! My Mom told me last month that Tom has a lot of cat scratch's on his shoulder(s). Trio was de-clawed in the front. Winston and Do-coose weren't/haven't.

Hi my name is Jamea may…my grandmother recently gave her home to my mom.but it needs a lot of work.my grandmother still lives in the home with us it is 6 in all. Need more room. I would love to surprise my mom with a make over. Thank you for your time.
Hi my name is Jennifer Tipton and I would love to get a remodel for my mom. She has been a dedicated single mother of two. Her ex husband left her in really bad shape. Our house was in the process of remodeling since I was about 7. I am now 21 years old. The contracted we had stole my moms information and took all of her money out of her account. Since then my mom has been trying to remodel our house but because of working at Krogers she does not make enough money to support me, my brother, and herself and to fix the house we recently started buying things here and there to fix out bathroom because the toilet is falling though the floor. Her son has not done anything to try to help her fix it so for about 6 months now our front room has turned into boxes of bathroom stuff like the toilet the bath tub etc. I would just love to see something good finally happen for my mom considering that every time we turn around I her daughter is having to have surgeries done to have tumors removed because my body for some odd reason likes to grow tumors in weird places. Right now I am about to have surgery on my foot that I just found out has a tumor in it. My mom is always a hard working person and never wants to ask for help but she needs it and it would be awsome if you could give her the gift of not having to worry about how she will be able to fix up the house.
This story is not about me, It's about my sister-friend, Margie Pitts! We both work at the Country Club in our small town of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. We've been co-workers and friends for a total of 25+ yrs.She is the best southern cook I know, (can make the best hot-water cornbread ever), the reason I'm writing this is ,her house is falling apart , she has three daughters and 4 grandchildren living in that house, I see her struggle and I wanna help but I can't do it alone, she has so much pride… no one knows about this but me! Our boss Chef Jamie McAfee don't know! We go fishing , we go to pick greens,or we go and try to find some kind of bargin to make ends meet, well the fish and greens I collect I wash and freeze for winter…. Not Margie, she distributes hers through out the nieghborhood, we've applied to every organization there is to help, with no results, I want to help my backbone …. with all the tragic things that's been going on in her life you would never be able to tell ! help me help her !
My name is Robbin, and I write to you on behalf of our family. Today, October 12th, my sister and I sit in a hospital waiting hoping and praying for our mother who recently had a liver transplant. We are a proud family, and asking for helping is not something we do. However, we do need help. September 30th,2014 our father died six days after us having walked him into an ER. We assured him we'd only get him checked out in the hospital, get some medication and have him home in no time. We were unable to check him out. Just as we thought things would get better, his health completely declined overnight.
Our mother, Lillie Nesbitt has also been on a transplant list for over a year. 2 days after burying my dad, and the first night we were alone in the house, the phone rang at 3:30 a.m, October 6th. The Gift of Life had called telling us they have a good liver for us waiting at Geisinger Medical Center and to be at the hospital in 2 hours. Our mom cried on the phone when she got the call and told them she couldn't do this right now, that her girls need her, and her husband just died. My sister heard this, woke me, and we urged her to accept. We said this is what daddy wanted, and it's a sign.
The surgery was a long one, over 15 hours. When the doctors came out, they told us there were complications and mommy fights for her life. Her condition remained critical. After many prayers, and long days and nights, the liver her body rejected is now functioning at 80%. This means although she is not out of the woods, expectations are promising. Doctors believe she may not need another liver today, but she will remain #1 on the transplant list if things were to worsen.
We are confident that she will be ok and come home, but she needs to come home to a sterile environment. Our home is far from sterile and we are doing what we can, but we need help, and why I write you. My sister and i are only two. My dad had a backhoe but we don't know how to use it. We have some tools but we don't know how to use them. We have a large extended family, but they don't get along very well. We hope they come together, but this is something bigger than us and we don't want to have to rely on them or worry about feuding when we have so much going on. Like I mentioned, we are a proud family.
My mother and father worked their entire adult life. Throughout our lives, they have taken in others when they really have had nothing themselves. They’ve given to family, when they really haven’t had much to give.
In 2010 my dad other unforeseen medical problems, and become incapacitated. He was a truck driver and had lost his sight after a brain operation. My mother has continued to work and support my father, caring very little for her self.
There is no income coming in as I have been caring for my dad. My mother although she should not have been working had not left because of worry of insurance. Both parents have continued medical bills. Money that helped my parents survive with bills and necessities in their accounts presently cannot be touched. There are many people that deserve help, and there are many people with hardships. It is sad that not everyone can be helped. I do believe my parents deserve (d) something better.
My parents home is not in as horrid condition as others, but we haven’t the money to give mommy the environment that will aid in her long recovery. The house has many minor problems, both cosmetic on the interior and the exterior. They have flooding in their basement has led to moisture and mold that is traveling in the house causing other damage that can be harmful to mommy.
Mary and I are doing everything in our power to help give my mom something better, and to make my dad proud while smiling down upon us.
We ask for your consideration, and thank you for listening.
Sincerely,
Robbin and Mary
I am writing this email in an attempt to help a man that has helped make my life so much better.
My significant other (did not marry due to his dx of MS) and I have been together for about 20 years. We had big plans about raising my three boys (their father died due to complications of diabetes)and having a long happy life together. He took over the role of their father providing all that they needed wither it was at school, work and support. This man helped me get through college and paid all the bills so I could go to school.
About 4 years ago he was diagnosed with MS, which has taken a huge toll on his physical abilities. He is still working but probably should not be as the driving and stress really impact his life.
The boys are all raised and are successful men who live out of state, except for one. He does what he can but our home is very old and needs remodeling which we cannot afford. Dave gets very upset and feels like a failure because we haven't been able to remodel. The style of the home is not my issue, it is the fact that it is not accessible for him. He struggles to get up the five steps to our home. The bathroom is 4×4 if that, and he has fallen several times. It is not accessible for him and especially if he will be in a wheelchair someday.
I would love to surprise him with a home that he can live in when this disease takes away his ability to walk. It would ease his mind that he has not only taken care of his family but that he can live in his home.
Sincerely,
Sheila A. Fallon
Hello my name is Nicole I am writing you because my family from Parkville, MO needs your help. The house the my mom, stepdad, sister, brother in law, and 2 little nephews (ages 2 and 6 months) live in is literally falling down around them, the sliding glass door if moved would probably fall through the floor, there is water leaking through as well and just from what I have seen is most likely filled with black mold. The kids are always sick, as well as my mom. They all live together to help each other financially, with no extra money to fix what needs to be fixed. To top it off my Aunt from California is having to come live with them as well and she too has her own health issues. I know this story isn't as heart warming as some I have seen while watching your show, but I feel my family would greatly benefit from your help and I pray it would help with everyone being sick all the time. Even if you could come or send someone to help fix the mold issue and the some of the other things that are wrong I would greatly appreciate it and forever be grateful. Thank you for reading.

Im a single mom of five children and we need a home. I lost one of my children she passed away and I have a five year old daughter who has seizures. And she also has night terrors witch makes it hard to get her well needed rest. We live in a small very old 3 bedroom house that is falling apart and isn't safe for us. We don't own are home any more because it is an old run down trail that wasn't good for my two children at the time. So we are staying at my children's grandpas property. We need your help to give us a secured home for my children and I. I have bin struggling since I had my daughter who is 5 now when I had her I almost died and I have bin trying to make ends meet the best way I can. Im currently unemployed do to having to take time take care of my beautiful child. And having to deal with all my daughter's doctors appointments. I have to move closer to the city so I can be closer to my daughter's doctor. But we can't live in the city with my daughter because she doesn't handle lot's of people and noise she is used to being on a farm. That is were she feels safe is away from everything that she feels will hurt her. We would greatly appreciate if you can help us through this hard time in are life. And to show us there is hope out there. Thank you for taking the time to read are story god bless
HI Ty & everyone,
My name is Meghan. I'm writing because I hope you can help my family stay in our house. We've lived in our house since I was 4 and now I'm 15 and I really, really don't want to move away, but there's a lot of things wrong with it now. My mom says we can't stay here anymore because she can't fix it. She paid people she found on Craigslist to repair everything, but they made things worse. I wish I could say something great that would make you choose us. All I can say is I really love my mom. She is the best mom in the whole world and I wish I could do something to help her because she always takes care of me, my sisters, and our dogs and cat even when she is sick. I know there are a lot of people who need help but no one like my mom. She helps people and animals all the time and no one but me and my sister knows. Like once she pulled the car on the side of the road just so she could get out of the car to help a frog. Haha. The day before Christmas she used to pack up toys and food into boxes in our car and drive around to laundry mats so we could hand them out to poor families. I wish you could help me surprise my mom by fixing the house so we keep staying together there as a family. I love, love your show and even if you can't pick my letter, I hope you will come to our town so me and my friends can come watch you all do an EXTREME MAKEOVER up close IRL!! :'*

My name is Tammy Freeman, and I am writing on behalf of my father Herman Kee Sr. He has no idea I am writing you. In April 2006 we lost my sister at the age of 43,and 7 month's later my father suffered a stroke. He was on life support for 2 weeks and survive the stroke. However;a year later he had another stroke followed by a massive brain bleed with a very slim chance of survival. He survived that as well even with the previou brain anuresym
he had back in 1997. Because their are so stipulations and income guidelines we have been unable to get any help to make his home handicap assessible. As a family we pull together to help our mother who takes care of him on a daily basis. The doors are not wide enough to get the wheelchair through and we have to pick him up to get him outside. If his home was handicap assessible it would make things more easy for my mother and us. He cant go anywhere unless my brother or nephew come over to get the wheelchair downstairs. It has been a challenge but, we eork with what we have because we are just thankful that God has blessed him and he is still here with us.
God bless,
Tammy Freeman

I love your show extreme home makeover! And am hoping that someday somehow we will have a chance to have a house of our own. Me and my husband is renting an apartment since we got married last May of 2012. And as far as i know my husband family never had a house of thier own too. Am from the Philippines came to Canada for work and almost of my life i dont live in our own house due to a work overseas! That's why everytime i watch your show,am so touched by how you blessed those people who is in need. My husband suffered from kidney failure and he needs to go treatment 3x a week. Thats the reason why he cannot have a descent and fulltime job. Me, my status here still a temporary worker and my contract ends every 10months. I loved to have a fulltime job so i dont need to depend from employment insurance. The reason i cant apply for my Permanent Resident card is that am not qualified. It so hard right now especially were having our first baby and everything is really expensive. God supplies our needs everyday and i know somebody out there, He will send to bless us. Am on maternity right now and what i got from the govt is not enough to even pay our bills and for food. My husband needs a special diet because of his health but we dont have a choice because we cant afford a healthy meal. Even me, doctor says i need to watch what i eat because i have gestational diabetes and need to check my blood sugar after meals.. I felt soo bad because we cant afford to buy the strips either. So what i do i cheat what i will record in booklet the doctor wants to see. I should do it 4-5x a day but i do only 2x a day. I dont know if am still here next year 2015 or the govt of canada will send us home because they will phase out foreign workers here. What matters to me now is am with my loving husband and our baby is coming soon any day from now.. As long as we were together that makes me stronger everyday. By the way, we dont have a cable in our apartment so when we go for a laundry at my in-laws apartment thats the only time we can watch tv. Inspite of all these, am so thankful that i can share in here atleast, somebody will know that their not alone. Theres always been somebody who is in worst situation.
Please read. I'll make it short and sweet so if you want more you can email me.

Hi my name is Shermica and My mom could really use the help. My mom is a always helping others on a day to day bases. She currently has been working full time and taking care of my sister. My sister has stage three lupus that has really taken a toll on her. Resently she had to have a total knee replacement. She stays constantly in and out of the Hospital. And other health issues that lupus brings. Well she had been staying with my mom along with her three kids. My moms so deserves to live but, her life has been taking care of others all the time. From taking care of my step dad until her died, to becoming a nurse and now taking care of her oldest and grand kids. Her house has taking a toll to the point I really think it's dangerous for her and the other members. The little things that we have tried to put together to keep the home functional are no longer holding up. My mom doesn't make enough to take care of the bills, three kids and my sister. It would mean the world to me to be able to give her a reason to smile.I wish I could just help her but my hands are full with my four babies and working a full time job.
I am writing you guys to see if you can help me and my husband and kids. We have 7 kids and we live with my parents because my husband lost his job over 2 years ago because he got his head cracked open and he has dizzy spells and bad headaches our girls have a room but my boys don't because there is not enough space so they sleep in the living room on the couchand I am seeing if you guys could help us get a home we have been trying for the last 3 years but havent any luck. I am asking please help us so we can get our first home for us and our kids before my oldest leaves for the national gaurd afterhe graduates this may.
I am doing this for my dad we lost our mom four years ago and ever since then he has been trying to fix his house and he just doesnt have the money to do it with because he has to take care of our brother he has really bad sezuries and he has to watch him closely and make sure he gets enough sleep and between all of that it is just reall hard and it would help him out alot if you guys could help him out.
I am sending this in for my dad, he retired 3 years ago and within the 1st year of retirement he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and was told he had 4-6 months if he refused treatment. For the past 2 years its been a long battle, but through his fight he has put on several benefits to raise money and help with families in need and is currently working on putting together a benefit to raise money to purchase new chairs for the cancer center where he receives his treatments. The home he lives in is around a hundred years old and belonged to my grandmother and is showing signs of wear, the foundation is sinking and there's places you can see under the walls to the outside, we did recently get some windows from an old house that was being torn down to replace his with where his frames had rotted out. He would never ask for anything himself and gives everything he has to help others. At his own benefit he played piano despite the pain he was in and his church and community has backed him and prayed for him, I know he may not have too much longer to be here with us and would be nice to see something done for him to where he wouldn't have to worry about that while trying to do for others. My dad is a Godly man who always tries to pay it forward.
Hello everyone. I am in need of help for my family and no longer feel like we will be able to repair the damage on our own. We are living in my fiancée's mothers home. She bought the house in 1987 and since then the condition is getting poorer. The roof is falling in in certain places. There are holes all around the house. The floors are falling in in the kitchen. We have temporarily braced the areas but that isn't going to last for long. Mice are chewing holes in the walls from neighboring yards outside to find warmth. The tub was falling in so we had to by new boards to try and brace that just to make sure we can bathe. And the other shower is unusable due to plumbing and flooring issues.I just really would like for my family to not have to deal with these issues. There are anywhere from 2 to 12 young children at my home ages 11 months to 10 on a regular basis. We do a lot of babysitting for people and the kids love being around each other here but I'm afraid if the house falls apart much more they wont ve able to even come here and spend that time with each other to keep themselves from staying out of trouble as they get older. We just really need help. We have done everything we possibly could to make the repairs but things are falling apart faster then we can get them back together. It would mean the world to all of our family and friends if we no longer had to worry about what if the house becomes unlivable any longer. Thank you for your time and I want you to know we believe there are people out there asking for help who may need it more then us. We would never want to take from anyone who is worse off then us. We are just asking for the chance to make our home a decent stable environment for our children to grow and learn for many years to come. And at this point in time its not looking like this place will last too much longer.
