Here is your chance to help tell the story of the infamous performers that changed music and started it all, rock n’ roll. Casting directors are looking for extras to be in an upcoming series. The Broadway musical “Million Dollar Quartet” is being adapted into a limited series eight-episode event that will premiere later this year. CMT and Thinkfactory Media is producing the dramatic series that is set in the early days of Memphis’ Civil Rights eara. The show will document the beginning of rock n’roll and the rise of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins during social unrest and political change.
Casting directors are looking for actors in Memphis, Tennessee to take part in the shoot on Tuesday, April 19th. Selected actors must be able to go to a wardrobe fitting on either Wednesday, April 13th or Thursday, April 14th. The start times are not yet available so you would have to be fully available for the entire day and night to be considered. You have to be flexible and be available no matter the start or end time. The casting team is looking to fill the featured roles of a Paperboy, a Caucasian male ages 10-12 years old. They need a wholesome, clean-cut, conservative, thin to “scrawny”. Boys must be able to ride a bicycle. The boys should have short hair or willing to let us give you a 1950s period style hair cut. Should be comfortable with riding a bicycle and tossing newspapers on to people’s lawns.
They are also looking for a man to play a Man in a Robe. They need a male, Caucasian, age range 40s-50s, clean-cut, conservative, NO visible tattoos (especially on arms or neck/chest) or piercings! MEN – average sizes only due to period costume size restrictions. Short hair or willing to let us give you a 1950s period style haircut.
