If you want to be a part of CW’s “The Vampire Diaries” your chance is here! A new opportunity to work on the TV series has just been released. Casting directors are looking for background actors to be extras. The Vampire Diaries takes place in the quaint town of Mystic Falls, Virginia which was once a hotbed of supernatural activity and becomes so again with the return after 145 years of vampire brothers Damon and Stefan Salvatore. The brother’s presence reignites past battles with a host of mythical creatures and the brothers themselves fight for the affection of local beauty Elena Gilbert. The series stars Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder.

Filming in Atlanta, local actors are needed to work the shoot on Thursday, September 8th. The scene that is being shot is an exterior Carnival scene. Shooting will be in Decatur, Georgia. This will most likely be a full day shoot so all actors should expect to be on set for a minimum of ten hours. Producers haven’t yet set the call time but it is possible filming will begin in the morning. Anyone who applies must be available to be on the set for the full ten hours regardless of what time shooting begins. The series director is looking for men and women of all ethnicities to portray carnival goers.
