I grew up in poverty, and my life was rather dismal. But my love for music and dedication to one day achieving this dream, helped me escape from my circumstances.
I've dedicated my life to learning the best techniques for singing and performing. I've sung Rock, Pop, Country, R & B, Musical Theatre, Art Songs, Opera, Choral Music, Pop A cappella, and I've even delivered singing telegrams.
Music is the most important thing in my life. Soon I'll be licensed to teach music at any grade level, it is a dream come true.
But it is not my only dream. I know that an opportunity like "The Star Next Door" would help me get my message out to a much larger audience. I am a fantastic singer, with great performance instinct, strong work ethic, and a dramatic back-story.
My dream for the world is for peace, and it begins with love.

My names michelle and ever since i can remember ive loved to sing, time and time again people are blown away at my hidden talent, growing up in a small town in maine however, limits me on branching out and being given a shot. So a few months ago i moved to pittsburgh pa to try and be heard, only problem, im broke& i have no connections. Singing is not just a pass time for me, its a way of life, a way to get my heartaches out, my late father was the lead vocalest in his band, he was amazing, but im sad to report he wasnt with us long enough to make it. But Im still here, and the world can still hear me. Im young, im energetic, im witty, im pretty, im honest, driven, and talented. Give me a shot and you wont regret it. I will knock your socks off.

I currently sing in various shows and also like to sing sometimes just for enjoyment..i also take vocal classes. I am 7 years old and have been singing since I could talk. I am mostly self-taught (with help from my mom) and have recently been taking musical theater classes and performing on stage locally. When I'm on stage, I'm fearless and can nail the notes. My family doesn't have much money, so the chance of me getting a big break as a singer is very slim. I was excited to see that this show is helping people like me. My singing idols are Jackie Evancho, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and Reba. I hope that I might get to meet one of my favorite singers here in my hometown, and that maybe I might get a chance to share my gift with the world.

Hi, my name is Josh. I'm 23 and I've been singing since probably the age of about 8 or 9. I sang in my elementary school's choir and was first introduced to oldies music by my father. The rhythm and groove that music has in it just stuck w/ me throughout life.
Now that I'm older I've grown a love for a variety of different kinds of music and genres i.e. reggea, rock, classic rock, Jewish music (I'm Jewish, of course), etc. My favorite singers are Bruno Mars, Daughtry, Matisyahu. I love them because of their passion they have in the songs they sing. You can really see that they enjoy doing what they love.
