  1. I think my step dad should be nominated because he has been dreaming of being a major league baseball player seen he was a kid but he couldnt because of his spine but now he can because he had surgury

  2. Hi my husbands name is Michael Powell his life long dream has been to be a videographer for a sports network. He actually went to school for Video/Broadcasting and graduated in "09" he does a little bit of work here and there but mostly does freelance for the news station. He has his full time job that he really doesn't enjoy but pays the bills meanwhile he sends and sends resumes to different networks trying to land his dream job! At times it seems he's given up and is just settling with what he has now. I on the other hand would love nothing more than to see the glow in his face with him doing what he loves most full time! We are recently married and think this would be the greatest gift/surprise ever!!

  3. Hi, my name is Sharelle and all my life i have wanted to model or act. I was always told that i was too big or too short or i didn't have the money to do it. I have had this passion since i was little and it is still going strong. I have been in fashion shows and plays in school and everyone told me i was good at it. I even went as far as audition for those model/actor casting calls and was offered a contract only to find out that i couldn't afford the costs and they gave it to someone else. Having a second chance at it would make such a huge difference in my life and my family's life. Please consider me and i will be forever grateful. Thank you for the opportunity!

  4. Well I am turning 40 have wasted most my life with wrong choices but 7 years ago I found my wife and her 3 lovely children.. we have since had 2 and 1 on the way as well as adopting 1. My only dream career was a pro fishing angler. Still is and will always be.

  5. My name is Emerson Ferguson. I am a 33 yr old father of 4. I have always felt that i realized too late what my passion is. I feel that if I were given a "moment" to change my life it would be to become an actor or entertainer on television. I have realized that I have the ability to make people laugh and also hang on my every word. I can captivate an audience and a chance to be on the Moment and make that come true would change my life.

  6. My name is Julian Ruiz, I'm 36 years old and I'm from New Jersey. My dream in life was to become a Major League baseball player. Unfortunately, having spinal stenosis meant being unable to do the things that I loved. Having had surgery to repair the damage, I would really be extremely honored to be chosen and trained for one last opportunity to fulfill my dream; even if for one game. Please help me fulfill this impossible dream.

  7. Hi my name is Stephen Moul since I was fourteen I been doing music and a couple years ago my mother was diagnosed with altsiemers and since then music had to take a back seat. I have recently moved in with my girlfriend and as me and my family still our taking care of my mother, my girlfriend has inspired me to not give up on my dream. So this would be my one second chance to make it and before my mother gets worse I know she would want to see her son perform and do what he loves once more. Thank you for your time and I hope that you really do make dreams come true.

  8. I'm writing for my wife she is a awsome singer not to mention a great mother who lost her daughter at the age of 1&1/2 and stayed strong for our son whom has downsyndrome and would like for her to have a chance to be a singer it is one of her dreams and I would like to see it come true

  9. I have always wanted to pursue a career as a songwriter, specifically for musicals. I have worked many years but have not had the courage to move forward. At 63, I realize that it may not be a realistic "Moment," but I believe I have the talent to succeed. Thank you.

  10. My name is D.C "Petey" Long, I am a 33 year old medicaly retired combat veteran. I put my dreams of dirt track racing and a promising music career on hold to re-enter the U.S. Army to provide for my family which resulted in a broken neck and fractured back during a combat jump/ Airborne operations. I do not regret getting injured to provide for my family but my life hasn't been whole ever since I hung up the helmet and microphone. I am begging for a once in a lifetime second chance to fulfill my dreams and make my children proud. Please consider me.
    Sincerely,
SGT US Army (RET) D.C. Long

  11. My name is Deanna and I am nominating my mom for your show. My mom was always a straight A student in school and on track to pursue her dreams of becoming an actress in college when she had me in her Junior year. I was born prematurely in 1996 and that's when she left her life long dream behind and focused on studying Psychology to help other young people find their dreams. Now she works with foster kids but I know she would pursue her dream if she could. I am graduating in June and I think it would be awesome if she could focus on herself now that I am moving on to college!

  12. I would love to nominate my husband for this show. He loves sports, mainly football and baseball. I would love to see him have a chance coaching. He truly is talented at this and I know it would be an awesome experience for him. He works so hard for his family doing what he HAS to do…it would be great to see him do something he would LOVE to do! thank you

  13. When I was 22 I moved to California to pursue a career in my first love, DANCE, whether it be in theater or T.V. I knew I'd be happy if I was dancing. I got a job as a Dance Teacher got married and never made it to one "BIG" audition. Now I live in Utah, with my awesome husband and 2 wonderful kids. I teach dance (which I do LOVE) but suddenly I find myself pushing 40. I will always wonder if I missed my "Moment" and if I could have succeeded.

  14. since i was 5 i knew i wanted to be an actress i went to college and majored in theater.but 13 years ago i had a son. and 1 year later became a single mom .which means i have to pick income over auditions.so without income how can i follow my dream

  15. This show seemed appealing to the average person especially with such a bad economy. I went to school worked really hard while being a mother of 2 and got a degree and can't get a job now because everywhere I go they want experience or they are not hiring. I have tons of school debit and am willing to work hard but can't get an opportunity. I think they should have more episode that are just average people trying to make it to provide for their families.

  16. I did not know about this great opportunity until I saw it on cable this year. I wanted to know first of all if it is not to late I would like to participate if it is to late I would still like to participate(next season) I nominate myself I have the desire to be an entertainer(singer) this is a passion that I wanted to do for over 30 years,But with and having children(5)and deadbeat dads and working 2 and 3 jobs there was just not he time or moneyleft to do anything but rest and continue to sing in the church then i tried it again and this is when I was taken for my savings (so someone else could line their pockets at my expense) so this left me no choice but to put my dream, my desire,my passion on hold yet once again. I would love love love to have my moment,

    thank you
    Rechelle.

  17. From the age of 5, I had sung and dreamt of a career as a singer. Although I spent many years going from audition to audition, from gig to gig until health issues, love and ultimately family responsibilities took precedence. I am now waiting on tables yet practicing everyday in the hopes that one day opportunity will knock and I'd be ready. What I would give for one last chance to earn my living with my voice. To be that one in a million and not that one lost in a million. Irving Berlin said it best, "Let me sing and I'm happy."

  18. My name is Diana. I nominate my boyfriend Ryan (31) to be able to fulfill a lifelong dream. Ryan and his grandfather, a retired Navy pilot, shared a passion for airplanes and flying. After his grandfather passed away, Ryan promised himself he would one day fulfill his dream and make his grandfather proud. Given obstacles throughout life he has yet to do so. Ryan is currently a mechanic at Boeing building airplanes. He has come a long way to get where he is today and i would love to be able to give him this opportunity.

  19. My name is Diane. I am hoping to help my son David to achieve his life dream. From the time he was 16 things started to go down hill for him. My divorce from his father, to my son leaving to be with his father, to help with his business at the age of 18. Life had it's ups and downs for him and he sacrificed more than he knows. He ended up leaving his father now at the age of 31 to start a different life with his family of wife and two children. It is a different life for him, but he is making the best of it. He has tried to go to helicopter school, but the tuition is high for someone trying to start out fresh and new. He searched for grants all over or for a company to give a school loan. He does have a job but not enough to pay for this schooling. I know all mothers think their sons deserve more. So, yes I do. He has sacrificed so much and needs a dream to come true. Thank you.

  20. 22. I always wanted to be a pro wrestler but life got in the way of that. Ingaries, people telling me I can't, and responsiblities. I am willing to start at the bottom and pay my dews.

  23. I am a single mom of 3 in Chicago. I had children young and never pursued my passion for acting. I have talents, but as many mothers do, I put my family & working ahead of my passion. I would love to share my story. It's quite intriguing.

  24. My name is Craig Jones "AKA – JROK" and I have always watch NFL Football over the years and I really only have one team. The New Orleans Saints. I always had a dream to be part of that great organization, but never tried to pursue in the organization. One, is because I am out of state, but two it seems like anything else in this great world we live in that you have to know someone to get hire. My background is Logistics and Transportation. Retired from the United States Army in 2009 with over 24 years of Honorable Service. My moment would be to work for the New Orleans Saints as a Logisitics or Transportation Assistant.

    Thanks!

    J-ROK

  25. My name is Elisa and my dream is to pursue my long time goal of working in radio or voice over work. At the age of 18 I knew I wanted to work in radio/commerical industry. I got my first job in the Detroit market in the business office. After advancing through several other stations I put that dream on hold to get married and support my husband through his dreams of school and becoming a teacher. After 7 years of college for him, 2 children and our divorce I still have hopes of returning to this dream. Being a single mom and working full time to support us does not leave me a great amount of time to pound the pavement but I will do anything to one day fulfill this dream. My children are my life and I want to show them how to never give up on what you truly want in your heart and stay true to your faith. Thank you!

  26. My father Jon is 43 years old, his whole life he's wanted to be a professional sports broadcaster. About 5 years ago my father went to the Connecticut School of Brodcasting, he graduated from there, and is now a certified broadcaster, and he knows so much about sports more then anybody else I know. About a year ago my father was diagnosed with Parksins disease, since being diagnosed with that my father hasn't been able to go after his dream. Even tho my father hasn't been able to brodcast sports games, he has been a DJ at weddings, and every wedding he has done, everybody's complimented how professional he is. I know for a fact that if my father was given the chance, he would be the best sports broadcaster.

    Sincerely – William D.

  27. I would love the opportunity to see if I could make it as a national recording artist. I have always had the desire to perform. I have had smal roles in community theatres and I love karaoke. The incident that put my life on a different life course is when we moved from the east coast to the south, where I experienced culture shock. At that point in time I was 12 years old. The people were very different and I never found a comfortable group of friends that I could relate to. A few years ago I had a child and I would like my son to always keep hope alive and to follow your dreams. That is what I would express to generations to come.

  28. I have always dreamed of being a motorcycle racer. I have tryed to build my own bike to start racing but could never finish it. I gave up my dream to buy a house and just can't pursue ny dream any more.

    Thank you
    Joshua parker

  29. My name is Myrna, I am 56 years old. I have always had a desire to sing. Instead, I gave up that dream, got married, raised 3 sons, a grandmother to 18, but still that desire has never left me. After 35 years of marriage I got a divorce and had to start all over again, but I still would love to fulfill one of my greatest desires. I hope that I would be considered, I would love to have my moment.

  30. My name is Tracie and I would like to nominate myself. I had a gift shop/ gift baskets when we lived in Texas. Had to give it up because my husbands' job moved us. I have wanted to start one up again but it is so expensive. My dream is to have a gift shop/ gift baskets. Please help me fulfill my dream.

  31. Hi my nanme Reginald Cooke. I'm writing this on behalf of my son Brian Cooke. Brian is 27, and a Hockey player, whose dream of playing professional hockey, is slowly drifting away. Brian has been playing hockey since he was 6. He's played youth hockey at the AAA level, started his highschool hockey team, played Junior A, and Division 1, NCAA hockey at Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. Brian's is an amazing hockey player at 6'2", 200 lbs. As a defenseman, he has exceptional speed, ability and is a student of the gaome. Brian had a shoulder injury duing training camp for the Las Vegas Mustangs 2 years ago. He was invited to the Ontario Reign Camp (LA Kings Affiliate) in 2012, where he re-injured his shoulder. He was in rehab and medically cleared to play. Brians is constantly training and playing in hopes to be called up.
Brian works for the Kings organization as the community liaison teaching hockey to inner city kids. He is also a counselor at the Kings Camp for youth, Kings Fantasy Camp for adults, and teaches kids and adults how to skate and play hockey. Brian has always had obstacles in his way, but he has always succeeded. However, he needs help. All he needs is a chance to prove himself. There are literally hundreds of people who feel if Brian is given the opportunity, he could play professional hockey. Here are a few names, Daryl Evan, Mark Hardy, Luc Robitaille, Nelson Emerson, numerous NHL players current and retired, etc. It would be so sad, for Brian not to get and opportunity to have a chance to follow his dream. Thanks!

  32. I am a 53 year old school teacher. My Moment may not be huge, but it is mine. I have always loved acting on stage. I have been doing it all my life in local theatre, taking my children with me to rehearsals. My dream is not to become a stage actor because I already am one. My dream is to be on a television show . I want to be a judge on Law and Order SVU. I have been teaching for 29 years and spending my summers with my girls making our house a home. I have looked into auditioning for the show, but I cannot afford to take the time off work. We just put both girls through college so now I am working 2 jobs to pay that off. I know this seems trivial, but a dream is a dream right. That's what I tell my students daily.

  33. My dream job would be to work as a casting director on a tv show or show runner of a tv show. Life has thrown many curveballs my way and I just want a chance.

  34. I am Jeremiah Miller. Growing up I always wanted to be on Sportscenter. I am an avid sports fan, and thought sports journalism would be a dream job. Instead with debt, then marriage, then daughters, restaurant management became my job, along with Dad and Husband. I love being both, being Dad is the most rewarding thing in my life to date, and providing for my ladies, but I always wish I had gone to school, and gotten into journalism.

  35. I'm a veteran. I went to Broadcasting School. While in school I was considered a talent, my nick name was The Voice. However, I had a bad case of stage fright. Now at 58, however I look much younger. So I went on to have a spotty career.I have managed Jewelry Stores, been a Jewelry designer, loan officer, banking center manager, high tech recruiter, However, everyone continues to compliment me on having a voice like Michael Clark Duncan. I'm 6'6" So I'm big too. No one wants this more than me.
Anyway,Kurt owes me I took a lot of heat when he was in New York, However he did vindicate me in Arizona, thanks.

  36. Hi, my name is Zach Lockey. Im a 23 year old man that has had a dream of being a dirt late model driver in the series world of outlaw dirt late models or the lucas oil dirt late models. I have been around dirt racing my entire life. The first time i was at a dirt track i was only 4 days old. My grand father and uncle raced in the midwest and in arizona and from the time i could walk i was constantly out in the shop working on the cars and it is my greatest passion. i have always had the dream of racing for a living but every time i have had the chance of getting behind the wheel something innevidably happens and the plan falls through. And to be compettitive in the "nascar" version of dirt late model racing you have to have 100's of thousands of dollars per year for a racing budget and i just cant afford that what so ever. so please, if it is at possible, i would give up everything and give everything for this amazing opportunity. i guarantee that nobody wants anything as much as i want this. thank you for your time and consideration.

  37. I would appreciate the chance to nominate my father, Daniel f. Welch for continuation on his musical career. Growing up he raised four adopted children . He did what he could as far as teaching music, he was in numerous musicals, he traveled to France to do recordings with artists such as Johnny Knorr. He is a true believer in keeping jazz alive and donates his time playing for free every Tuesday. He is 65 in good health and plays gigs on the weekend for weddings and such. He just never caught a break he can play piano, sax., lead vocals as well. If anyone deserves this it's my dad! Please and thank-you for your time…..

  38. I am posting for my wife (she doesn't know) who has always dreamed of singing in a band. She has a great voice and her mom never let her pursue her dream because "you can't make any money singing". She rocks when Pat Benetar, Heart or Barbara Streisand is going on. Her ultimate dream would be to sing with Benetar or Heart or someone along those lines. She is a mom of three who has sacrificed everything to be a great wife, a mom who homeschools three kids and who serves everyone else before considering her own wants and desires. This is probably her main regret in life. I love her so much and this would absolutely blow her mind if it came to be. In either case, thank you so much for a positive, uplifting idea that takes your success and transposes it to others less fortunate. You da man.

  39. I am writing you about my fiance. He life long dream us to bareback riding and compete in rodeos. Ecerytime we have some money to put a side to start saving for his dream something seems to come up. We have three kids a daughter at is 13 and 2 sons that are 7 and 8. I think I deserve a chance. And this is the place and time to do it!!
    Thank you. Angelo Rosi.

  42. I am sending this in an attempt to help my husband. He is a very talented guitarist, who has repeatedly given up on his dream, for his family. He has made attempts to be a part of small town bands, to at least be on stage, performing. But time and time again, we (his family) have been in his way. He is very committed to his talent and he plays when he can. But life continues to be an uncontrollable hurdle. Our children are, 2 out of 3, out on their own and living their own lives now. I am committed to giving him all the time and support he needs. I don't know how to help him. He just needs a chance.

  43. Hi, I'm 53 years young, a father of a son and daughter and grandfather of 3 toddler boys! I served 6 years in the U.S. Navy, worked 1 year on a farm, worked 1 year in plumbing, and worked about 25 years as a computer operator/technician in a law firm before being laid off. And for about the last 16 months since being laid off, I've been a full time babysitter to my 3 beautiful grandsons. My dream which I put on the back burners is to play pro baseball. I'm a switch pitcher/switch hitter, meaning I can pitch with either arm and bat from the left or right side. I'm ready and willing to put in the effort to make my dream come true! Please help me make it possible, thank you very much and God bless!

  44. Edited 3/24/2013
My name is Sandra Bray and I have always had a dream to make it in the entertainment industry as an actress, singer, and songwriter. I have a long resume of commercials, movies, tv shows, radio spots and more. But I have spent my whole life sacrificing for others. Raising my son, not being to far away from my family have been the top reasons why I haven't pursued my dreams on a larger scale. I did what I could locally in the Memphis area Mid-South region. But now I wanna sacrifice for me.. At any cost short of compromising my morals and ethics. If it takes determination, unyielding commitment, I am the person for this show pr any similar show. My voice, My Look, My Personality are all reasons as to why I can't give up on my dreams. God didn't let me keep what I was blessed with for NO REASON! I believe 'It's My Turn To See What I Can See'. At 53, my mom finally gave me the thumbs up to pursue my dreams. I know that seems crazy, but that's why I'm blessed because of the relentless devotion I have shown my parents. I'm worth it though. If at any point your show needs a participant to come in on the fly, I'm the person. I am a quick study and follows directions exceptionally well. While at the same time, I can be just as creative and imaginative as the show demands. I need this break. I believe this break will be the gift from God that I have been waiting for. Not only for me, but this could be a break for the very thing that's prevented me from pursuing my dreams in the past.. MY FAMILY. It would be a chance for me to really help my family in ways that I can only imagine. I will pursue my dreams. It would be a whole lot easier if I did it on a show called 'The Moment'.

  45. I gave up my dream of acting for a man that would leave me with 2 kids. I love my children and my life but I miss the moment where you have touched another persons life by my skill. I want my one moment to see if I really could have made it. He took that away from me and I want my moment back to know that I wasn't wrong in knowing myself. That I could have been one of the greats 🙁

  46. My name is Richard, and I would love to be the next Jeremy Clarkson from the British TV show Top Gear.

Since I was a kid I have been infatuated with cars, and driving. I feel I could be be one of the best drivers who has ever lived. I feel so relaxed behind the wheel. There is a hundred things I could talk about to show my love of driving. But telling you the 0-60 times of 50 cars, or the lateral G of a Subaru BRZ probably wont make any difference if I get picked to be on the show.

I don't even know if this post on a random website will make a difference. So here's hoping for the best!

  47. I am writing this comment on behalf of my husband to has the talent to become a NASCAR driver. Since he was 5 his father and older brother taught him to drive and they thought he had great talent and could really be something someday. His father lost his job and became ill and they lost a lot and my husband lost his dream at 14 to become the only person he wanted to become, a NASCAR driver. He went through very hard times and hung out with the wrong people due to depression. He turned his life around to only find out his mother, who was the only thing that kept that family together was dying of a brain tumor. Her only dream was for her son to follow his. His father got worse after her death and died a few years after leaving my husband and his brother with debt and heartache. My husband is a wonderful man and a hard worker who deserves to live out his dream. Please give him this opportunity, so I can see the light in his eyes again.

    Thank you,
    Tovi Vossen

  48. My name is Joey francis I am 22 years old and I would love to have a chance to become a professional NASCAR Driver. When I was in high school I always dreamed about becoming a NASCAR driver I would love someone to give me a chance at becoming a NASCAR driver and right know I just have the money to become one. Please help ? Thanks

  49. My name is Carson Foster and I would like to chance to be a professional barrel racer. In high school I always dreamed of it but never had the money. I doing local events now trying to make It big but I don't have the money for winning horse. Please help!

  50. My name is Samantha, and I am fifteen years old. My mom has forever had a fire about her in the kitchen, and she had dreamed to open her very own restaurant, but my medical conditions – my mental disabilities – have prevented her from living out her lifelong dream. Not only my own medical conditions, but also my mom's. My mom has pleurisy, a lung condition, as well as c.o.p.d. which is a chronic lung condition. By saying all of this, I do not expect to have a greater chance of my mom being chosen nor am I looking for a pity reach. I am asking that my mom, who has been constricted by her conditions, to be freed. My mom has the fire inside her still, but she needs someone – something – the realization of her power and talents ignited once again. Our location, our lack of funding has only further prevented my mom from living her dream out as she should. My mom, alike of many others, deserves another chance. Meet my mom, and you, too, will see. My mom will give the very shirt off of her back to a stranger in need and has done so during the disaster of Hurricane Katrina. I know all that I speak of may sound dramatic and quite unrealistic, but I just want my mom to have a chance. The very chance she has granted my brothers and I. I speak my truth of my mom.

  51. I am writing on behave of my fiance. He is a great guy. He does what he needs to and he never get a break. He always talks about acting. He has always wanted to do this. We don't have the money to pay to get him to that point. He was in the Army. I know that if we get him into the acting he will be great doing it.

  52. Hi, I'm a singer/writer I know that probably of all the dreams, mine is the most popular, and if you are looking for a good tv story, I can assure you that mine is, but without regrets, how ever hard it was for me, made me who I am an I'm grateful. But to the date I still wish my one dream would've been…. I was so close, almost got signed by Univision records, it was between two genres and they went the other way… I do have and album out under Alecs Caba, but to be a working musician is hard specially when you have a family. Im not working now and am starting to write again with the support of my friends and family, and when I saw your show I took it a a sign… Why not? I know is a lot of work, but, I have been never afraid of getting my hands dirty. Hey if you want the full story about me, I would love to hear from you. Let me know, but either way, good luck and congrats on your show and I'm glad that your show brings people in touch with a new chance to reinvent themselves!

  53. Hi, I would love to be considered for this position, not only because I am a fitness and nutrition guru, but because as a single mom, I know its hard to find companies and people like this and to share and grow with your company would be phenomenal! Anyway, below is the best I have for resume or information about me. I really hope it suits you all well. Thank you for your time and I appreciate your time. Anyway I would like to share a bit of motivation as well as a bit about me and maybe you can consider me as a great addition to your company for moms and competitors out there. Thank you!

Motivation to start you off with:

Growing up in a small town in Washington, it seemed like the highlight of the weekend was the high school sports contests and the usual who, what, where and when the party was all about. It never clicked for me to be involved with all of that. All that gave me was an appreciation for work ethic, hard work, and effort. I was also fortunate to grow up with a Naturopathic Doctor and a hard working business owning family. Though, I faced a long road of obstacles at every turn in my life. I told myself I would get there if I just kept pushing. I had to remind myself daily to focus on the task at hand. It was a challenge to not get distracted by all the negative circumstances around me. Now days, I feel very strong and empowered with the life I lead for myself as well as my son and I want to share a few tips on getting to this point in your life, a point where it gave power to an average yet short young lady with limited athletic ability the opportunity to someday compete with some of the best athletes in the world, while being a mother. Frist Time Do It Right Before becoming a teenager I was fortunate to be adopted by my childhood babysitter and her husband and it was a huge turning point in my life. Though my childhood family was well put together on the outside, on the inside, they were screaming for a different direction. My babysitter, now my mother, could see that and was determined to show the world to me through her and her families eyes by showing me what a real family was like. She of course got this trait passed down from her family which I do call grandma and grandpa, and owe a lot of respect on many levels. My adopted parents were tough, demanding, and always pushed me to do my best in everything. They taught me that anything worth doing is worth doing right. And to this day I can’t argue with that. What does that mean? It means that going through the motions is the most disadvantageous thing you can do. When you do something wrong the first time you have to go back and do it right the second time. If you did it right the first time you never have to do it again. People who excel realize they are going to give every ounce of energy in their body the first time out. Sometimes you only get one shot. So, no matter the task, put your heart into it and dig deep. Second, Surround Yourself with Overachievers My second tip would have to be one of the ones like myself, people struggle with considering they have a fear of failing or looking bad in front of people. This is your life not anyone else’s, who cares if you fall down, get right back up and try again. This logic is simple. There was no way you could replicate the conditions of training with a team or trainer compared to training at home. Most strength and conditioning programs are tough, grueling, and well worth it if your goals are high and demanding. Your teammates or trainer will push you and everyone else to the brink of exhaustion and you will learn how to overcome adversity together. Being pushed by like-minded competitive athletes will raise you to a higher standard. If you don't outpour the effort that's demanding of you, the group builds around you and spits you out. You must go hard or go home. Third, Immerse Yourself and I Mean Fully Immerse Yourself If you have a vision of what type of athlete you want to be, you must immerse yourself in the culture of that athlete. My goals are to be a strong, explosive, one amazing standout athlete and a great learning tool for my son, Kylan. For some this means living in the weight room, spending hours on the track, and studying up on some of the greats. This does take up a lot of your time but depending on your goals and determination this is what gets you far. Sometimes your mind will concentrate on these learning tools and steps 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Making your goal or dream is the last thing you will think about when you go to bed; it was the first thing you will think of when you wake up. You will eat, slept, and breathed your goals or dreams. And it’s ok if it’s not that extreme, just really make it a point in your life to change the life you are living now for a healthier, happier, and more confident one. Fourth, Be Consistent Most people don't comprehend that failing to excel is sometimes a lack of consistency. I can't tell you how many times I've woke to an alarm clock at 4 a.m. or pushed myself after a long exhausted day while watching Kylan sleep peacefully, only to wish I was snuggled up as well. No one in their right mind wants to wake at 4 a.m. or continue after a long hard day, but sometimes you have to forget the person you are and become the person you need to be to get closer to your goal. So many times I tried to tell myself it's OK to sleep in or go to bed early just this once. But, if I made it OK to do it once, then it would be that much easier the next time around and time after that and so on. And sometimes, your friends or family will say anything to talk you out of a workout. They would use things like parties, drinks, and good times to distract you. This is where you have to remain committed to the things that would put you in a position to be successful. It's a crazy thought but, when people see you focused, they'll call you obsessed or nuts. Brush it off; remember it’s your life not theirs and it’s very rewarding in the end. Stay true to your vision, goals, and dreams. DO NOT let the distractions pull from your focus and energy. Finally, Believe In Yourself I cannot stress this enough, you must believe in yourself in order to succeed. Growing up I had so many people tell me it wasn't possible to become whom I am now. It was hard to ignore these people, but I blocked them out and surrounded myself with positive influences like my parents now and told myself I am willing to do whatever it takes to reach my goal. Ignore the negativity and have a clear vision of the steps you must take to reach your goal or dreams. Second guessing yourself is a waste of time. Practicing with a sense of urgency and competing every single day will help you build tough skin and a strong mind. Doing extra training and studying is how we gain confidence in our ability. Know you have what it takes to excel. Believe in yourself and stay on course until your reach your final destination. You are who you choose to be. In Conclusion I hope these tips help you the way they helped me. Remember that anyone who has become great has put in the work and the effort. They believed in themselves and followed through. They believed they could not fail. No one could deter them from reaching their goal or dreams. Everyone has the ability to excel. Remind yourself every single day of your goal or dreams and why it's so important to you. Keep in mind that sometimes your ability exceeds your self-belief, you just have to believe. Everything else will line up and fall into place, trust me, try it for you. Every day is an opportunity to get a little bit closer to your goal or dreams. Don't waste another second, what are you waiting for, make it happen!

    A little more about me:

Well I have always been interested in the fields of nutrition and fitness. It started by growing up with a Naturopathic doctor; my biological mother, and being an active outdoor type of kid. It wasn't until recently when my son Kylan Lee was born that I really took my passion and dreams (or goals) up a huge notch. A little over 2 1/2 yrs ago I decided like all new moms; the baby weight had to go.

So I started with strapping Kylan in the front position inthe kangaroo pouch during his naptime and walking to Denise Austins dvds. After a few weeks of that and being strong enough to move and balance Kylan around; I began taking on the challenge of Gilads Total Body Scuplting with weights. It was not easy and I did have to adjust some of the moves so that I could perform them without hurting my son, myself and my form. But let me tell you; it is manageable and worked.

After that I picked up running with Kylan in the jogging stroller all over my town. Of course I worked myself up to it and around hisnap schedule, but before I knew it I was running half marathons and marathons with my biggest motivation and supporter, snug as a bug, with me.

Just this last year I was lucky enough to begin planning my way into being a triathlete. I began biking with Kylan in the bike stroller; and let me tell you, it’s been both fun and challenging. I have yet to swim with Kylan in a kayak or anything but who knows; that could be soon, considering it’s the tri part I am going for. (I do want to add on occasion our 10lb mini pinscher; Bentley, has gone on these adventures with us. I believe my "sleds" are up to 50lbs now.)

Now, I do have to say I am one blessed single mother because my son has allowed me to show him that the outdoors is the best medicine for activities in life and health. He sure loves being right there with me and always cheers me on and even bugs me if I don't at least do a few days a week with him in either stroller.

Currently my weight training has improved since Gilad and I graduated to P90x and free weights. (I do need to add; its definitely cute watching my son try and weight train with me, melts your heart.) So this is the beginning of my addiction to showing my son and myself that it’s never too late to start and finish your dreams or goals.

Speaking of dreams and goals; on my list of things to accomplish Iam looking to compete infitness world and get my pro card (my first comp is in march 2013 locally here in wa!!!), add several triathlon’s including Ironman Kona, and after watching this last year’s summer Olympics, I would like to be competing in Track and Field. This all will take hard work and dedication in which I am very pleased to teach my son and teach myself as well. It’s a long road ahead of me but I know it will all be worth it. I hope to Blog and share as much nutrition and fitness information as possible with you all; just don't be afraid to share and blog with me; I am an open minded and eager to learn individual!!

    Thank you!!

  54. Hello my name is Kesha Miller and im writing to tell the Moment that my husband always had a life long dream of working with audio systems installments. He is great at itand he would love to do it professionally he just needs achance to get started and with Kurt Warner. He is a hardworker and a family man. His name is Jeremy Miller. He would greatly appreciate whatever chance he can get to have that dream job as a Audio System Installer. Thanks in advance for taking the time out to read my story.

  55. Hi my name is Jovan and I'm hoping you can help my mom live her dream. As long as I can remember she wanted to be an actress. She gave up on her dream after my dad left us. She had to work to take care of me and make sure I had everything I needed. Now that I'm almost 16 I think its time she gets a chance at something she always wanted to do, but gave up to be the best mom ever. She's been out of work since a work injury and is taking odd jobs just to keep a roof over our heads. For always being there for me and doing all she can do to help me achive my dreams its only right for me to help her with her dreams. Please pick my mom she just needs the chance to shine. Either was she is always going to be my brightest star. Thank you for your time.

  56. My dream is to ride a Pro Stock motorcycle in the NHRA .. I have drag raced as a sportsman I'm an avid motorcycle rider ..I love drag racing them .. I work on them .. I just never had THAT BREAK … Or the money to continue …..I LOVE DRAG RACING

  57. Performing runs in my family, my mother tried her whole life to make it as a singer and could never do it, it's not that' she wasn't good enough, she just didn't have the opportunities. Not only is it my dream, but I know that it's my purpose in life to be a singer. I just need someone to give me a chance. It would make my entire life complete If I just had one shot.

  58. My boyfriend (Charles) and I are new parents of a 7 week old baby boy. Ever since Charles was very young his biggest dream was to be in professional basketball or baseball he is great at both sports. We both had huge set backs in life due to addictions. Charles worked up the strength to get himself into a rehabilitation center over 3 years ago and has been clean ever since. I myself had the same problem and met Charles 2 weeks when he was fresh out of rehab. I myself still was suffering from the addiction disease and Charles was going to meetings bringing me along although it took me another 4 months to get myself into rehab. and stay clean. Every step of the way Charles remained by my side and helped me get through the hardest part in my life. Anyways, Charles still fantasizes about becoming a profession sports player and he is still very talents. I take pictures of him playing basketball making insane shots and everything. His dream of becoming a professional not only died because of addiction but because when his basketball tryouts in high school were he had a very bad flu and still he tried his hardest to do all of the practices he needed to do to make the team but the 103 fever from the flu took over and he just could not participate anymore he begged the coach to allow him another chance but he just wouldn't let him. If maybe that coach would of allowed him an extension to get better and finish his tryout a recruiter, I highly believe with no doubt, he would have gotten a full scholarship. Now we are 3 years into our relationship with our new son Charles Jr., who he has high hopes he will have all the advantages he didn't get to pursue. Right now in order to help support his new family he is landscaping on his own trying to find jobs anyway he can, which he is very good at landscaping as well, but it still is not his, long lost dream. I would really love for him to get that chance to play professional ball like he dreams and talks about everyday. I saw this show and I thought I would give it a chance to help fulfill his dream! Please give my love this chance to become all he can be because I know, his family and friends all know he is extremely talented, motivated and just an all around special man who truly deserves another chance to become that professional basketball player with his family cheering him on from the side lines giving him the life and support he truly deserves!! Please please contact me to help set this wonderful mans dreams come true! Thank you!

  59. I am a 53 year old women, a mother of 2. I work in a Blood Bank in a Ct hospital. My real passion is cooking but never followed my dream. I even got the home ec award in high school…. I am a good cook but would love to cook with a great chef….

  60. When I was in high school I was in Navy ROTC. I had hopes of becoming an officer and pilot. After my second year in ROTC they cancelled the program. The closest school to continue was too far for my parents to afford to send me. My dreams of being a pilot were gone. After I graduated high school I tried to be a police officer and a fireman, but was turned down because of a lazy eye. Ever since remaining in one career has been challenging. My dream is still to be a pilot.

  61. My boyfriend, Ryan (21) has been playing ice hockey his entire life. He has played on the most prestigious hockey teams such as team Comcast in The Elite Hockey League as well as the captain of our high school ice hockey team. After high school, Ryan played in EJHL (eastern junior hockey league) in Vermont and was being looked at by college D1 scouts. Hockey is truly his passion and he is the happiest I have ever seen him when he is playing the sport he loves. The only thing that Ryan is more passionate about than hockey is his family. Unfortunately, Ryan had to put his dreams aside to help his family through one of the most difficult times of their lives. After his parents divorce things began to fall apart. Ryan's mom moved out, his dad lost his job, and their house was in foreclosure. Ryan was devastated, but made it his mission to provide for his family in their time of need. He was traded to the Philadelphia Revolution Hockey team in Philadelphia, PA to be able to move back home and take care of his dad. He then found a job (where he worked 65 hours a week) and was able to get his house back for him and his father and pay off some bills for a few months. Unfortunately, he had to quit hockey to be able to work more and use his money for the house and survival for him and his dad. After a month or two of relief from worrying about financial issues, Ryan fell back in the hole and was unable to keep up with the house on his own. He has now found a new job working at Cento, in West Depford, NJ where he makes enough money to survive for one and has recently moved in with me after his dad moved into a half way house. Although Ryan is very grateful for his new life and job, I know he misses hockey more than anything and wants that second chance to fulfill his dreams. Please give him that chance.

  62. Hello. I am writing about my husband. We call him Doc. He is the most loving man I know. His passion is basketball. He know as much about the game as any true sports fan.
When he is not working, he is sitting in front of the TV watching sports and highlights, switching from channel to channel.
Doc has had a hard life. He is from a broken home. And with no parental support it was hard for him to play the game he loves.
When he was 18 he joined the Army for a few year. He came home to support his mom. Got married had children. Had to get several jobs to take care of his family. Then his dad died, he got a divorce and then his grandmother dies. He played around on local courts to ease the pain of his life.
In 1997, while working at a local Boys and Girls Club, he met his 2nd wife, me. Wanting to provide a good life for me and our children so he went back into the Army. We married in 2000 and moved around due to the military.
He served 3 tours and we divorced while he was on his last tour. He served his country for 9 years and was medically discharged for his knee and shoulder. He is now a Disabled Vet. He knew that his chance to every play any kind of basketball was over.
We were apart for 4 years. We remarried on May 2, 2012. He got his family back but his dream now, since he can't play, is to coach an NBA team. He talks about the San Antonio Spurs and the Miami Heat a lot.
If you would consider my husband to have his dream come true, he would have a sense of fulfillment.

  63. As soon as I saw the preview for new show “The Moment” I knew I had to write on behalf of my boyfriend. Growing up his one true passion was playing baseball and it is still his passion.

After high school he had a scholarship to play baseball for the University of Oklahoma as a catcher, but on graduation night the car he was in was struck by a drunk driver and put him through the windshield at 70 mph causing severe injuries to his knees. He still moved to Oklahoma and worked out an arrangement to play for a community college instead to see if his knees would take the strain of catching for 7 innings. During this time he received offers to play minor baseball for the San Francisco Giants and the Phoenix Arizona Firebirds, which he did but because of the injuries to his knees his dream of going to “The Show” as pro catcher never came true.

Instead of during that into a negative he moved back to his home state and a few years later formed his own select boy’s baseball teams. These teams are not for profit. It is his goal to help other young men that were like him who have the love of baseball but just need that help to be able to follow their dreams of playing in “The Show” or going to college on a baseball scholarship. Currently he has seven young men who are attending the college of their dreams while still being able to play the sport they love. One young man has even gotten his opportunity to go to the “The Show” as well.

Unfortunately times are tough and financial it has taken its toll on my boyfriend and he is not able to continue coaching at this time. He has been trying for the last 4 years to get his chance to continue his dream of helping kids of all ages play the sports he loves so much but because he never finished college those opportunities are passed by because he has no degree, even though schools think he is an excellent coach and has the ability to relate to the kids. He would love to have the opportunity to coach baseball at the high school or even college level (or even pro level), please help me realize this dream that he has had since he has been 18 years old. He knows that he himself could not ever go to “The Show” because of his knees but he could help other kids do what he couldn’t. He would never ask for this himself, which is why I am asking for him. Please consider him for “The Moment”.

  64. Hi, i'm 54, I love art, huge art. I've put off my dream job because, one I didn't know what i wanted to do with it and another I had a son at 28 raised him and then got married at 40 and had another son at 42. Now I know what I would love to do, something you have never seen but, is very fun for the public to get involved and also a company to get involved and boost they business. really don't want to say to much, don't want anyone to steal my idea but, if you would like to know more you could email and give me your number and I would be glad to call and let you know more. Thank You so much.

  65. It's been 20 years since I even dared myself to think about The Dream. The one that got swept up and tossed far away while I dealt with unexpected turns of events in my life. It feels almost naive of me now to have planned anything long term in life at all. The only thing that seems to stay constant is change itself. I thought I would wait until my two sons, born 1 year apart, were in elementary school before pursuing the dream of owning a weekend flea market Italian food stand business. But the desire to sell the best homemade meatballs and sausages in town as a family business was deflated when both my sons were diagnosed a week apart as being genetically profoundly deaf at almost 3 and 4 years old, and one year later, one found to also be autistic. Feeling devastated, angry, confused, and helpless, every ounce of energy and fortitude I could muster went into educating myself about them and helping them in every way I could. Their father could not fully accept this new life, and alienated himself as much as possible until the stress he felt turned to anger and abuse. We divorced shortly thereafter, and he is no longer in our lives. I went back to college to do the only thing I could do from home in short amount of time, medical transcription. After 2 years of college and 2 years of employment, I had to quit the job and become a teacher for my younger son in a private school, and a sign language choir teacher, as it became increasingly difficult for him to be understood by those only skilled at teaching deaf children, not autistic as well. For 8 years, I kept this up until he graduated a couple of years ago. And now… seeing The Moment advertisement and thinking about long ago, the plans, the family business to be proud of, the meatballs… could I, after so many years, feel like an individual again, with a life and goals outside of this world of disabilities, sign language interpreting, and lifeskills that has become a massive cocoon for the 3 of us? Or is it also destined to be my tomb? Surely food for thought as the wounds open today. And of course, more cruel irony in that my older son now wants me to teach him how to cook for himself, a skill he now has nowhere to take for the future. It's very difficult to think about what would have been today had things been different, somehow, someway, making the dream come true. On top of spaghetti, I lost my poor meatballs when life sneezed….they rolled off the table and onto the floor… and then my poor meatballs rolled out of the door. They rolled in the garden and under a bush, and now my poor meatballs are nothing but mush.

  66. I am 40 and have had to over come a lot in my life because of having developmental learning disabilities and ive now been on my own for 13 years now a few years ago i went to a comedy workshop and they said i have what it takes but im so frustraded because dont have the money and its hard to understand how to do the punch line but i really want to have my comedy dream please help me

  67. I am a 48 yr old military man that has always aspired to sing I had the chance to do so when I was younger but always second guessed myself I am a singer of golden oldis and would love to get up on stage with some of the artist of those days just to prove to myself that I could have done it and feel the vibe of happy fans. most of all to make my family and my fellow soldiers proud of me they always told me to try but have been too modest and nervous

  68. My heart has forever been and will forever be set on acting. Now, only 20 years old, the dream may not seem like it is out of my reach, but being stuck on a family farm and in a community of about 1,300 people, getting noticed or away seems impossible. It also doesn't help to be a closeted gay young man in a conservative home. I know there are thousands of people who probably deserve this more than I do, but I've also learned that not talking every chance to follow your dream is no different than wasting your life.

  69. I am 24 years old, I work 4 jobs to support myself, my family and my newly engaged finace. My biggest dream would be to be train with professional football athletes for there off season, I have trained over and over every year and tried out for many football tryouts but after being called the most athletic guy on the field I can't seem to make the team and I feel they are after my money. I want to live my dream and put the pads on at least for a day and feel like I accomplished something in my life!

  70. FROM THE TIME I COULD COMPREHEND WHAT TELEVISION WAS AND WHAT A TELEVISION WAS; AND WHEN I SAW MY FIRST MOVIE, ALL I EVER WANTED TO BE WAS AN ACTRESS. I GOT MY DEGREE IN PERFORMING ARTS AND HAVE HAD COACHES THROUGHOUT MY LIFE BUT I'VE TURNED OUT TO JUST WORK FOR AND WITH ARTISTS AND DID NOT BECOME ONE MYSELF. I HAVE BEEN UNHAPPY MY ENTIRE LIFE BECAUSE I DID NOT DO WHAT I WAS BORN TO DO. I've always heard that you only get one shot so you have to be ready. I just need my shot.

  71. My husband Jamal is currently a tennis coach but he has always wanted to play in a national tournament. When he was a teenager he was part of the U.S. Open Jr.'s. He also received a scholarship to play tennis. He got sick and lost his scholarship. Soon after he had his first child and had to give up on his dream and help take care of his growing family. He is a great coach and an excellent player. He spends countless hours studying the game and I would love for him to have the opportunity to complete something that he was so close to accomplishing years ago.

  72. My son has always been an amazing athlete. My son was 6 1/2 when i met my USAF husband in england. Since that time we have moved backwards and forwards between europe and the USA. During all these year my son played soccer, dreaming of becoming a professional player..Everytime we moved he was set back, he was the new kid, or just the military kid who wasnt worth bothering with..every step of the way there was always a move or or some other issue we couldnt do anything about. Soccer in the uSA is too expensive for a regular kid, my husband worked three jobs at one time so we could pay for him to play on the best local team. We travelled hours on end, when others were flying, just for him to compete in tournaments. He always did really well, but it seemed that the timing was always off. So many times he has been told, he was good enough to play in the MLS, so many times he is told how amazing he is. His last move to the USA at 24, he was hoping to catch the USA PDL, but he seemed to be just too old…not too old to be amazing, but too old to be taken on their programs. Now with the cost of medical insurance, he struggles with niggling injuries that wouldnt prevent a pro player from being on a team, as they have professional treatment. But hold my son back from peak performance. He has lost all normal routes to fullfilling his dream. As a foot note he has been a coach for the last 10 years helping kids and adults live their dream, his players have played on top club, school and ODP teams. He would be a perfect candidate for your show.

  73. I am a 55 year guy that live for the day to drive as a pro in the NHRA .I've been around dragracing all my life.I know i can't afford but would ove to be able to drive a prostock car I once own a top dragster before and plan on purchasing one once again. The chance to be on the show and learn for the great's would be my NumberOne bucketlist dream. Please pick me

  74. Hello! I am 33 years old and would like a 2nd chance to become an actress. I started to pursue my dream just after college in Atlanta, but I got pregnant and had to find a more reliable way to support us. I am married now and I love my husband, my kids, and my job as a teacher, but I often look back at my life and choices and wonder where I would be right now if I had stuck with it. Please give me this chance to show my boys that every dream is worth pursuing. I just want to get in front of the right people who can tell me that I should either go for it or stick to my day job!

  75. Always wanted to be sports agents or with a professional sports organization
This is my story starting in May 2011. In May of 2011, I went to the ER with trouble breathing and chest pain. When I got to the hospital they did chest X-rays and blood tests. My blood sugar was over 500. The chest x-ray they said was clear and that I had elevated blood sugars and released me. I then made an appointment with my primary doctor, and they diagnosed me as diabetic. I then lost 30 pounds and started pill treatment for diabetes. Over the next two months the chest pains and trouble breathing continued. Then, in June, with the same symptoms, I went to my primary doctor and he scheduled another chest X-ray. One hour later, I was admitted to the hospital with a collapsed lung and a 5cm growth (This was a Friday). Over the weekend, they did multiple tests and biopsies that came back inconclusive. The next week, they sent me to the hospital, where they said it was a typical carcinoid tumor that was cancer and that it has been there for 25 years. He in return ordered a PET scan and it was confirmed that it was cancer and needed to be removed. In August, I went to the hospital for a biopsy of the tumor and to schedule for the removal of the tumor. The biopsy was a success, but it took them a lot longer than they had planned. The biopsy lasted 5 hours due to fact that they had to bore through the tumor and the scar tissue to re-inflate the bottom part of the left lung and remove blood and infection. After coming out of surgery, I was admitted to stay overnight and then had complained of the positioning and pain in upper body. After that I was put on a high dosage of antibiotics to clear up the lung for surgery we planned on the 1st of September 2011. Dr. said recovery would be 6 to 8 weeks and that it was a routine surgery (of 4 to 6 hours), and at my age and shape I would have a full recovery and go on with my normal life.

On September 1st I arrived at the hospital for surgery at 6 am, where they weight me and check me in for pre-op. At or around 7:30 am, they took me to the operating room where they prepared me for surgery, where my mom reminded them of the positioning problem in early surgery there in August of 2011. When I was awoken from surgery, I was in a lot of pain from rhabdomyolysis on the whole left side of my body, from my head to toe, but the worst was on my hip and shoulder. From which the anesthesiologist said, they were sorry because they misjudged my weight, even though they weighted me before surgery. Rhabdomyolisis caused me to go into kidney failure (having dialysis) and being placed into ICU. In ICU my mother noticed something wrong with me and asked if I have had a stroke, they said no and did no testing. Right away I had numbness and the neurologist was called in to help. They did some testing but could not figure it out. So I was moved from ICU to a regular room, where they continued to test me for multiple problems. In the meanwhile, my epidural was cut off and left in my back for 3 days until I complained about it leaking, and they finally removed it. On the 8th of September, I was released, still not keeping solid food down and swollen full of fluid (around 90lbs of fluid). None the less, to turn around and go back a couple of days later with bad cold sweat, vomiting and tremendous pain. A day later they released me and I continued to see doctors down in my hometown. My mother and I went to my primary doctor and he advised me to file for disability and social security and I was going to probably never get feeling back and to accept this as the way that I was going to be. We refused that answer, and he refused to treat me, as other doctors have done the same since. I did find a new doctor who ordered a lot of test which I am currently still seeing. These tests include MRI’S of the spine, brain, hip, shoulder, and ankle. Results from all of these are as follows: spinal cord damage, which is the cause of the numbness and burning sensation from my neck down which includes incontinence and impotence. The Brain MRI shows that I did have a stroke that affects the function of my whole right side. The hip shows torn and ripped muscles and tendons which makes it hard to walk and use my left leg. Same in the right shoulder. The ankle has damage also. From all of this, I have continuous headaches and pain. It has landed me on disability from work indefinitely. I am currently seeing new neurologists for more test and an oncologists for two nodules in the same spot with results to come. The reason for seeking legal representation is that I am losing medical insurance from not working and need rehab plus more testing including possibly not being able to ever return to work do to mental and physical problems. Considering my wife stays at home with our 2 year old son Mason and I was the only one working our lives are ruined. are . I need her to take me to doctors and help me with day to day functions due to these medical conditions since they have taking my driving privileges away. I need help the doctors are asking about a letter of protection and in general I don’t know how I will ever provide for my family they way that I was capable before this surgery. The hospital caused more damage to me then the cancer. At least the cancer was isolated and not affecting my whole body and mind. Truly I am not the same person look forward to talking with you and hoping you can help. Just today the doctors told me that I am permentaly out of work to go collect disability and deal with it I feel this is unacceptable. Had neur tests seris of seven after 2 they failed me . Please help. Before Surgery I was making 6 figures and had CEOs and VPs helping me move up corporate latter had promotion on table that would have set my family for life enough in bank to build dream house and have plenty left over.
