Hot off of the fantastic success of their apocalyptic comedy directorial debut This Is The End which featured a host of laughs and celebrity cameos from such incredible performers as Rhianna, Channing Tatum and Kevin Hart, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are ready to team up once again for the next hilarious sensation. The Interview featuring a reunion with frequent collaborator James Franco is set to begin production soon and now a casting call has been announced for several outstanding roles for performers of all ages.
The Interview will star Academy Award nominee Franco (127 Hours, Spring Breakers, Homefront) and Rogen (Knocked Up, 50/50, Undeclared) as a pretty boy talk show host and his schlubby producer who hit the road to report on a story and accidentally become involved in a plot to assassinate the Prime Minister of North Korea. This is just the type of high concept plot that this prolific comedy team has become known for to fans around the world. Goldberg and Rogen (writers of Pineapple Express, Superbad and The Green Hornet) will direct this sure to be hit feature from a script by themselves and Dan Sterling (The Office, King of the Hill, The Sarah Silverman Program.) and they have recruited a top notch supporting cast that includes Lizzy Caplan (Mean Girls, Party Down, Hot Tub Time Machine), Randall Park (Supah Ninjas, The Five-Year Engagement, Dinner for Schmucks) and Timothy Simons (Veep, Best Friends Forever, Draft Day).
