Get On Up will tell the harrowing, inspirational and outrageous story of the legendary R&B master Brown. The film will span the early days of his journey as a child of extreme poverty in South Carolina and Georgia to his time in prison for robbery and on to his ascension to one of the finest artists of all time and one of the most ferocious live performers ever. With hits such as “I Got You”, “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World”, “The Payback” and “Living in America” Mr. Brown left an indelible mark in music and history in general and now audiences will get to see behind the glitz, glamour and gaudy outfits and into the heart of this one of a kind man.
