- there are also numerous roles for students, teachers and extras in general. Casting Directors are preferring talent over the age of 18 that can pose as a 16 year old
Information on the Storyline:
Dylan is the typical pink princess of the upscale Los Angeles Woodlands Academy. She has the most popular friends, coolest boyfriend in school and a brand-new designer bag that everyone envy’s. When she accidentally tosses her Serge Sanches bag into a fountain, this princess comes face-to-face with her own personal frog, self-professed film geek Josh Rosen. In return for rescuing Dylan’s bag, Josh convinces Dylan to let him film her for his documentary on high school popularity. Reluctantly, Dylan lets F-list Josh in her A-list world, and is shocked to realize that sometimes nerds can be pretty cool. But when Dylan’s so-called prince charming of a boyfriend dumps her flat, her life and her social status comes to a crashing halt. Can Dylan win the Woodlands Academy Fall Formal Leaf Queen crown? Can Josh win the Woodlands Academy 10th Annual Film Festival? Can Dylan, with Josh’s help, pull the pieces together to create her own happily-ever-after?

My name is Makayla Linger. I turned 16 on June 16 2011. I would love to play the role of Dylan. I am not exactly the stuck-up type, but I do mimic people who are because to me it is annoying. Maybe if I got the part, I would see it a little differently. I have actually just gone from Miss Popular to Miss down in the ground. But not because I had a popular boyfriend. I moved because my dad is in the military. He would support me no matter where I was though. I used to be on top and now I’m at the bottom of the food chain. I have been told I have great confidence and when I walk into a room, it is lit up. I am very nice. I can deal with very tough situations. I have been through many and just recently my parents divorced, but no one saw a tear fall down my face. I got up each morning as though it was the same as the last. Nothing drastically changed. I’m basically an only child now and home alone all the time. I can start crying in a matter of minutes and I’m sure Dylan will be once her social status falls. I think of sad things and bam, tears roll down my face unexpectedly. I can pull off any persona. I have been in a few plays since I was little, some major parts and some minor parts. I memorized lines for almost an entire play in about a week. Not all of the lines were mine, but in order for me to realize when I am to say something, I need to know at least a couple of lines before mine. I am a great communicator. I can talk if I am supposed to be talking and I can listen if I am to be listening. I take orders very well. I never like messing up, so I always try my best. In the High School Musical movies, Ashley Tisdale played Sharpay. She was supposed to be a stuck up, rich, popular girl. I don’t believe she is really this way, so I think she did a great job and I am sure I can do the same. I’ve often wondered why they thought that, so I’ve asked. People say I carry myself with confidence, but not arrogance. I am mature for my age and sometimes old-spirited.
