  4. Hello Makeover Wish

I'll start by saying I love your show and always get inspired by it to help others.

I am trying to get the correct information to submit someone that I feel is not only in need of a miracle but truly a deserving candidate.

This past year I found out a cousin of mine lost her husband (Don) tragically. He was a soldier (7 deployments), father of 10, and had just retired.

His wife, Allison Ellibee, was left to raise their children on her own up in Palmer Alaska. This women is a Wonder Woman of sorts. She home schools her children.. Runs her own separate preschool.. Cans and preps food.. Sews.. Cooks.. She is a domestic and maternal power to be admired is an understatement.

She in the past was a caretaker to her mother who was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and to her brother with terminal diabetes. Her brother passed away a few years ago and early in her marriage lost a child.

Tragedy and loss among a childhood patched with abuse and loss is a story she would never claim … Always enduring.. Serving in church.. Community.. On and on she keeps a positive and optimistic attitude about life.

As I learned more about her life the more I wished I could help and I have nothing as far a resources. I asked about her children and she said they are "ok". With further conversation it was … "The six year old daughter Cry's her self to sleep every night".. "The twelve year old jus got his bicycle stolen and locked himself in the bathroom" …"the older boys are just graduating.. Joining the military ..getting married.."

In all of this Allison sends me a picture of her two year old resting on her lap. Toddler to 20s and no husband… No father.

If there was a time in life I'd plead for someone to be blessed by a makeover or help it is now. If I had the ability and resources I'd do it myself.

I know Allison and her home and preschool and kids NEED a MIRACLE and my prayer is you can be it.

    Sincerely,
    Philip Abbott

  6. Hi , My name Ken .My girlfriend had a real bad marriage. She is alone with 2 kids .The house that they live needs a lot of repair. Some of the damages were caused by her Ex-husband,and her kids acting out after their father departed the home.Sometimes her ex-husband doesn't want to pay child support. She wants to have the repairs done, but does not have the funds to do so.After a bad marriage ,and divorce this would be a life changing miracle for her and her kids. Please be a blessing to her.

  7. My only hope to save a house that has been around for 3 generations is YOU. My husband's dad built this house in the l950's. He served in WWII and when he came home after the war, got married and built a house on a 1/2 acre of land. My father in law died about 8 years ago and left the house to my husband. My husband past away on April 2, 2016 and left me with the house and its payments which I can not make. My prayer is that it will not go into foreclosure and for some miracle to happen to save it. My husband was on disability when he died and always talked about fixing up the house so we could move into it. That never happened because of his long term illness of kidney failure and taking dialysis 3x a week. I would love more than anything for the house to be saved and to be able to fulfill my husband's dream of a makeover that would keep his dream alive in me.

    Thank you so much
    Susan

  8. Hello my name is Melissa and I am requesting for an extreme makeover. I have the most unusual body shape and don't know how to dress. I wear t-shirts and men's jeans. I just moved out on my own for the very first time and I'm trying to find a job. I don't know how to dress for an interview that's probably why I haven't gotten any call backs. Please help I am 42 hears old and unfortunately single. I feel like I will never meet someone with the way I look now. I am desperate. I live in a small town in Iowa. Please help me achieve my dream of becoming something and someone special to myself and others.

  9. Good evening Mr Pennington. My name is Diann. I'm a disabled single mother of three kids and we live in Deltona Florida.I come to you for help because I don't know what else to do.I'm currently renting a three bedroom home that's about 39 years old. My kids are always sick and it has a lot to do with living in this house. There's mold, we get rats/rodents in the attic which the landlord refused to çover up the holes where they're getting in through, the front door is rotting so I have it covered up with duct tape and brillo to fillin the holes so that nothing can get in(bugs, mice, snakes, lizards, roaches, sliders). The lock on the sliding door that leads to the patio has been broken since I moved in so I use my cane as a lock at night, the refrigerator is a mess so our food sometimes goes bad. I am not able to change filters on the AC unit because there's no place for one so the house is always dusty……They won't do anything. My kids are really good kids ànd what mother wouldn't want the best for her kids. Last week their doctor told me that I need to get out the house and stày with someone or stay at a hotel because everything is affecting the kids health. The problem is I don't have anyone I can say with and I can't afford to stay at a hotel being that I live off disability. My kids never even been to a Disney park. I'm really concerned for my kids health and would greatly appreciate your help please consider my family. Thank you from the bottom of our heart myself Diann and my kids Ty, Kaila, and Luis.

  10. Hi there my names Maria and I would like to nominate my father. It's been very difficult these past two years ever since my mother passed unexpectedly leaving my father behind in there home. I remember when my family went to see the house that my father is in now and grew up in I remember moving in when I was in seventh grade. My father was so proud to show us where we going to move into . It took my father all his savings from the time he migrated from Mexico in 1990 and he brought us in 1991 we worked as cherry and apple pickers to get by. But the house looked okay at first but with only him working all the time over 80hours at a plywood factory that shit down and now at a warehouse to be able to pay the bills we really never saw him. Till this day my father I still working hard to pay all the bills of this home it's practically falling in him there's mold in the restroom and in the rooms I remember living there in one of the rooms and always being sick and it was cold the homes air system is so old and wouldn't hardly work so I remember having to put layers and layers of clothes before going to bed. I also remember when my mint her passed we had a small gathering at that home and all of a sudden the laundry area wall caught on fire from the dryers outlet we had to call the fire department and they tore down the wall to make sure there wasn't any more trace of the fire till this day it's still isn't fixed and there's just a big piece of wood there. One thing that happened that will always stay with me are the memories I build in that home with my family especially my mother It would mean so much if you would consider my fathers home for this. Thank you for you're time.

  11. Hi
My name is Valentia Magano (15) and um from North West-Pella in South Africa. I nominate my family. Ever since i was born in 2001 we have been leaving in my great grand parents house, the house is too bad it has cracks on the corners. it is difficult for us to leave in that house. it's a six room house its got 3bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and lounge. We are about twelve leaving in it, that includes my grandmother Gladys Magano(63), when i was nine year's i got sick spiritually so they took the money that was supposed to help built a house and used it to get me all the help, by that time my mom was working..now she is not and the only source of income is grants. My granny is a very humble person, she is committed to god and always tries her best to help one another. I can't send a video but i will send u pictures of the families my granny helped. We would be honoured if u help us out.

  12. My name is jazmin and I want to apply for my best friend ashley. She is pregnant with her first child and she is living with her father. Her father bought a house in Mount Vernon Washington. This house is not suitable for a baby or adults for that matter. Her dad still makes payments on this house that has been falling apart for years. She wants to make it safe for her baby. The foundation sunk on one side, the floors are warped, the bathroom is moldy, the washing machine is about to crash through the floor, the roof is leaking, the walls let in water and moisture and they constantly have rats. She can't get a job due to a felony that was her ex husbands fault and her dad only brings in 18k a year. I fear for Ashley and her baby living in such a place. She desperately wants to fix the home but neither her nor her father have the income to do the repairs. Please help her.

  13. Hello-

Thankfully, I do not have a sad story to tell, however I am hoping that will not disqualify me. I am a first time homebuyer so coming from where I've come from….that is a HUGE deal for me. I never thought I would be here. I earn a modest income for myself and my dog and have wracked up a little credit card debt to make some necessary improvements to the old house I purchased.

Would you be willing to do a show for a good guy who just can't afford it? I'm a single guy with no kids and no significant other so my house is all I have.

Thanks for reading this and I COMPLETELY understand if you pass right over me. Hope you don't, though 🙂

  15. Wow.this would absolutely a dream come true, however I never ask anyone for anything,I watch the show every chance I get I cry everytime ,so happy people get what they finally deserve.I'm sorta ashamed to tell me story of my life but here it goes ….grew up rough, had to borrow clothes from friend to go to school ,was raised by a single mother whom did the best she could I'm the middle child ,I have an older sister and younger brother , my sister has never had to work ,her husband always supplies .my brother is a stay at home dad with a wife that supplies .myself ,well I worked very hard from age 16 until now .never ever have I been without a job , I would say I was a hard independent worker .nonetheless I wanted what everyone else had ,a home a family .I got that ,met a man married him we built a house of course to his taste , he was controlling even decided what curtains to hang, well I just let him be the man even while I was yearning to enjoy some decorations of my choice, well that never happened , but that's OK ,I was going to be submissive to my husband as he would always say that's what a woman is supposed to do ,in the Bible …i was young and didn't completely understand…so I lived in that manor for years until one day my daughter told me a very disturbing heart grenching thing ,I believed her and left ,took all my children left him and the house ,struggled to start my life over but I did it with 3 children , worked long hours double shifts just to make sure my children lived they way they used to live ..advice go on with life ,I meet the real love of my life , he committed suicide ,life is now getting harder ….times has passed with pain in my heart yearning to own my own home , I rented several places and something seems to always call me back to my parents house , the lord spoke to me this last time ,that I need to move in with parents ,they are aging and the house needs so many up dates and I don't know where to start all alone .dad has recently been diagnosed with kidney cancer ,they have to fix his bad heart before they do surgery to try to get the cancer out .he's a great loving man would help anyone for nothing…I have had to take custody of my grandchildren ,whom are my world , along with my 16 year old son that seems to get left out due to all of my attention on parents health .and caring for gran dbabies …I'm not the one to ask for things I always try to do it my self or I don't get it ….I have been diagnosed with a rare skin condition that there is no cure for snacks only going to get worse , it really limits my life ….I'm only 41 and I have never been on a beach or to a concert just because I worked so much and never had opportunity.I am a family person my family is everything to me.I guess I could care less about the fun stuff as long as my family wasvtaken care of then I was happy, so I'm living at my parents small 3 bedroom 2 bath house that sits on 1 acre in Shelby ville KY .with kitchen floor sinking in and on on ..however God has directed me here to help take care of my parents and these grandbabies and hopefully my dream will come true ,of ty and his crew screaming wake up Carter family ! Lol …thank you all for what you do to change people's lives…

  17. Hi, my name is Jordyn Patterson and its just me and my and I am 13 and she is 39. Lately it has been very hard for us to focus on our home because my mom does have a job but it doesn't pay super well as she would wish so she can't really afford to fix up our apartment. She is always going to job interviews but they are always turning her down. It's only me and her and we really do not get that much support. I feel we deserve this makeover because I really want this for my mom she does alot for me and is dedicated and hard worker. I would really enjoy to make my mom smile because she deserves it. Also our family always love to have everything at our house but our house dosen't have much for people to enjoy so with your help and time all of that can change. I would absolutely love and appreciate it. Please it would mean the world for both of us.

  18. Hey there! My name is Anthony LaBrake. I have a story that I believe all should take the time to read. Today is April 22nd, 2016. My families 2 story brick house burnt down to the ground. Total of 8 family members resided in this home including myself. Out of 8, 4 members of the family were home. Luckily Everyone was able to make it out safely. However, a 9 year old named Zachery dunnam helped pull his grandmother from the burning house safely. She has very bad knees and is line for surgery. She told him to get out of the house, for she wouldn't make it. Out of courage and bravery he was able to follow the sound of her voice through the black, thick smoke. While that was going on, Harley Hensley was able to wake her mother (Shanna Hensley) and reach safety. They were able to make it out of the house out of the back door prior of Zachs and Nancy (the grandmother) escape. As Shanna and Harley made their way to the front door they panicked as the door was locked. (All while 9 year old zachery and his 76 year old grandmother were trapped inside) Shanna had to break one of the front door Windows from the seem. Just as they thought they had lost all hope, Zachery was able to find the door. When they finally made it outside of the burning house, Shanna Hensley stayed with her mother ( whom is Zacherys grandmother) while zachery ran to the neighbors house barefooted to contact the police and fire department. The loss is devistating. EVERYTHING was lost INCLUDING 2 vehicles. We may not have a home and we may not have much. But together our family has it all.

  19. Hello! I am nominating my mom, Stella for an extreme home makeover!

My mom's home used to be something she was proud of, but since my step dad's passing, she hasn't been able to keep up with it and it has turned into something she's just embarrassed of.

My parents had 7 kids together and now they're proud grandparents of over 20 grandkids! Throughout my parents marriage, they were never able to have a home they were proud of. My mom wasn't able to work most years due to raising children and my dad was stretched thin with so many mouths to feed. They raised their children in all types of places from hotel rooms, to trailers, to old farm houses. I was too young to remember, but from what I'm told, living conditions were often poor; no phone, water or heat at times. In 1989 when I was just 1, our farm caught fire and my parents lost nearly everything. The barns, the house, vehicles, pets, farm animals, race horses they had bread and trained. They were most fortunate all their children survived. From there they moved into a motel, then a few other places before finally divorcing around 1995. Being a single mother for the first time, my mom worked multiple jobs to provide for her children. My brother Mike and I, being the youngest, spent a lot of our time under the care of our older siblings while both parents worked around the clock.

A few years had passed when my mom met John, her future next husband. They fell in love and married years later. This was the happiest I remember seeing my mom. My step dad helped her care for her children. He genuinely made her happy. For the first time in her life, he bought her a real house she truly loved and was proud of. When we moved in, we loved it! We had a pool, we were close to the beach, we had a nice fenced in yard, plenty of space for my mom, step-dad, my brother and me. (Everyone else had grown up and married or been seriously involved with someone by this point). My mom would host family dinners, holiday parties, etc. on a regular basis; everyone loved visiting her home!

Within a year of my mom and step dad's marriage, John had been diagnosed with cancer. (around 2002/2003). For the next 3 years my mom would drive John to hospitals in Philadelphia (her house is near the Jersey Shore)..daily/weekly. This took a toll on her (then) new car that she still drives today because she cannot afford a new one. We watched him battle cancer for 3 or so years until he passed in June of 2006. My mom has stayed strong as always, but i know this crushed her. She struggles to pay the mortgage alone. She mows her lawn and tidies what she can, but her fencing needs to be replaced. There's leaks inside the home she can't afford to fix. Upon losing my step dad, she turned to animals for comfort. Her garage is no longer extra space in the home; my brother insulated it for her and it is now her room of exotic birds! (caged parrots of different kinds). She takes care of my grandparents now. The back family room that was once beautiful (sky windows, glass sliding door) is all blocked off now as my grandparents stay in there. Her doors are falling apart. This house survived hurricane Sandy and Irene recently. There's so much wear and tear on this home that she can't afford and I'm afraid she's going to lose her home. She was recently reported by the borough for bad upkeep-she was able to do enough to please them. The pool looks terrible now. Her previous dog ripped her backyard apart, it isn't grass anymore, it's dirt! She still has 2 dogs that aren't destructive, but they do track this dirt into the house. We can't have family events in her yard anymore…I won't even go back there to kick a ball around or anything anymore.. It's just an eye soar and a waste of what used to be beautiful space.

This mostly breaks my heart because it is hurting her health. She's too embarrassed to host family parties anymore. There's not enough room in the house anymore for her 7 kids and 20 (and growing) grandchildren. As much as we love our mom, we dread going there because of the tight space. My mom babysits my brother's children at least once a week; they barely even have room to play! They can't go in the yard because it's full of holes and dirt. My mom is so depressed over her mortgage and the appearance of her home she's gained so much weight. The mortgage has her struggling paycheck to paycheck, she sometimes skips her grandkids' birthday parties because she's embarrassed she can't afford gifts! I'm afraid this is going to give her a heart attack. We try to help her, but there's repairs none of us can afford. She feels she's in too deep, I don't see her making much effort anymore and it breaks my heart. I know she doesn't want to lose this gift my step dad gave her. She doesn't feel she can go anywhere else and keep her animals.

There's nothing more I want for my mom, than for her to be able to come home from work and be happy to be home again. I want her to have space in her own home and not feel crowded because she's caring for her parents. She hasn't been able to host Christmas in recent years because of the lack of space and the wear on the house…that crushes her. I want to see my mom be able to have family visit again. We don't have a photo of all 7 siblings together…possibly within the last 7 years because my mom struggles to get all of her kids together at once. If you could help bring my mom's home back together so she can be the safe haven for her kids and grandkids again, we would be forever grateful!

    Thank you!

  20. Hello. This is hard to know where to start. I am a widowed father. My children are grown and out on there own. I lost my wife four years ago oct12 of 2012 to cancer. We were together for 36 great years. Near two years ago my oldest daughter was in I car accident that paralized her from chest down. She was to be married but her husband to be tried to take care of her for a while but was not able to do it so he took her to the hospital and left her in there care. They found a home to take her but the care was poor. Her daughter was 18 years old found an apt and took her there even with me pleading not to do that I knew she could not keep up with the care it takes to keep my daughters health. She ended up in icu for several weeks and then placed in another nursing home again got sick with uti that effected her mental capability. Was treated and came out of it again. They released her and the nursing home would not take her back. They said to me they felt they were not set up to take care of her with her medical problems and age. Now she is still in hospital trying to find help to have a place to go. They want me to take her for now but I am by my self I have to work and my house or trailer does not have a working kitchen or a bath room that I could even get her in to. No ramps to get her in and out of the house. I believe if I had a place that was suited for her I could get the family to help take care of her while I'm at work. But the condition of my house now it is impossible to do. I love my daughter very much and only want the best for her. I am asking for help. Thank you

  21. A home makeover would really benefit my family. In 1997 my husband and I purchased our first house. My dad was unemployed and unable to work, so my parents and brother moved in with us. My brother never married, and has always helped my parents. They stayed in the basement and my husband , myself and my 2 kids were upstairs. Unfortunately, 8 years ago my brother was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. He has had many rounds of chemo as well as several surgeries. He is on disability and unable to work. Thank God he is still with us today. However, a few years ago he became too weak and unsteady to use the basement stairs. Our house is not handicapped accessible . So, we had to re arrange our living arrangements. We are grateful to have a house we can all live in, but being divided is tearing our family apart. There is not any privacy or quiet time for anyone. There is fighting all the time. My kids are now 21 and 24. We have 7 adults living in a small house. We have always been a very close family, and I would like it to stay that way. The only way my brother can get around is to stay upstairs. By doing that, we are all divided. My husband and myself do not get to use most of the house that we pay a mortgage on. We would love renovations where we would be able to live in the main part of our house, yet my brother would be able to be with my parents and still have the ability to get around without falling. He deserves a quality life, and we want him to have that. But everyone fighting and having to live in small shared space just is not working. If we could have a home makeover, mobility would not be a problem for my brother, and space and privacy, and the ability to"live" in our own house would be possible. Please help. Family is everything to me.

  24. HELLO EXTREME MAKEOVER!!!!! Im am writing to you in hopes that you will change my Dads lucky stars as luck has not been on his side his entire life………… My dad is the most selfless caring (give the shirt off his back) person i know!! His whole life he has worked his butt off and things always seem to get in the way of him having his dreams come true……. My dad was with my mom until i graduated he was soley with her for us kids and because she was an alcoholic and excessive gambler our entire lives running my dad constantly into debt sometimes not having enough money for groceries after working 5 months straight in the oil patch to come home to an empty bank account. once they separated 11 years ago my dad of course helped her out with finances and eventually paid her out 200000 which he did not have at the time…… my mother before they separated had a diner called juke box cafe that my dad helped her purchase as it was one of her dreams……. while owning this business the accountant at the time put my dad as director on the company without his knowledge making my dad liable if the company was to fail. long story short the business failed due to my moms gambling and drinking habits and as a result she closed the doors and walked away cleaning her hands of the company leaving my dad and moving away leaving 2 kids under 12 with my dad to raise….. so after trying to sell the business my dad was caught up to speed with the bills and debts that were owning on this company… my mother did not pay the governmnet the entire time she had the business resulting in over 600000 owing. so because my dad was director he was left with this bill. it has been over 10 years of trying to catch up paying this debt off and in result my dads half finished house is falling apart……. now with the economic downfall he has not worked in over 9 months bills keep piling up and he is depressed and stressed to the max as im sure tons of people are due to the economy. we are good people we love our family and love our dad dearly…. we have no where else to turn…… my dad has always volunteered in his community anyone would voutch for him here that he is a amazing person that deserves the help back for once……. i know this is not a life or death situation but i count our lucky stars that you guys will help my dad have the dream house he deserves…… we would have the whole community on our sides to help i gurantee it!!!! please help us god bless you and all that you guys do for the people around you its truly amazing to watch the show brings me to tears every time thanks for taking the time to read this!

So I was always pushing food on my husband and was always Helios of him because he had lost weight the Easy way out and I couldn't diet for the life of me! As the years past on we had children and stayed in our old rating habbit and my husband gained all his weight Back. His dad past away and that's when weight started to pack on currently we both are about 150lbs over weight. And his health isn't good he is diabetic really bad. And I have high blood pressure. We as a husband and wife are ready for change and want to be able to be active with our kids and be alive for them as they grow older. So Chris if you can read this we need your help!!!! 31. Good evening I'm writing on behalf of my mother. My mother is the youngest of 7, and she has had every one of her siblings to live with her in a 2 bed room home 1 bath with an unfinished basement. She works about 75 hours a week to provide for her and my oldest aunt and my grandmother. My oldest aunt has been diagnosed with severe arthritis and my mother gets off work and takes her to her doctor appointments. She also pays for all her medical bills. My mother is getting married this year and she deserves the best makeover to her house. She works very hard and stills supports me. I am 21 and I'm in the US Navy. I cannot help as much as I would like due to frequent traveling and my current sea duty status. I thank you in advance.

    Very respectfully,

    Marion Chambers

  32. My name is Cori. I am writing this for my sister in law. Kalene needs your help. She was rushed to the hospital to find out that she had a blood clot the size of a tennis ball in her aorta that was blocking blood flow. Due to the lack of blood for so long, both of her legs died and had to be amputated. In addition to losing both her legs, she has also been on continuous dialysis and is at risk for losing many other vital organs. Her current house has walls caving in, she will not be able to get anywhere in its current condition. There are stairs to get into the house (no wheelchair ramp), the walls are too close together for wheelchair access. This has been a battle for kalene and all of her family. I am asking for your help so that she has a house that she can have access to, inside and out. Please help her! Kalene has faced many struggles, and now she just needs a home that will help her to adjust to this new life without legs. Please abc, she needs your help. Thank you so much to take the time to hear Kalene's story, and for considering her for extreme makeover home edition!

  33. I would like to nominate my mom for this show. shes always helping people giving them somewhere to stay if they need it. she never asks for money just that they help with chores. My mom works for Detroit public schools at loving elementary as the head lunch lady. even though she has obstructive hydrocephalus hypersomnia and pigmentary glaucoma she misses very little work. my sister bought the house we are living in for 2,500 and from the outside it looks so bad that people think it is abandoned. from the basement to the roof it needs repairs. We came close to loosing the house due to past taxes (before purchase) we live check to check mom is looking for a second job but she cant drive so that limits where she can go. During the summer there are 2 months with no pay and I plan on helping with that. My mom has talked about her dream home and yard and all she wants is someplace where all of us my sister and her kids can live together
    thanks
    sam glass

  34. Hi Extreme Makeover:
I am in DESPERATE need of your help. I am a recent divorcee and a single mom, raising my daughter by myself. The house we live in is nearly 100 years old and falling apart. We purchased it as a fixer upper and I have done many repairs over the years by myself, but some of the repairs are too costly. Every time it rains, my basement floods and the walls get very moist and also mold grows. I can tell the foundation has shifted because the house isn’t level. The back steps have been infested with termites and are literally falling down. I’ve had to post a ‘No Trespassing’ just to be qualified for home owner’s insurance. There are birds living in my attic and the gutters are falling off. A few years ago, a real estate company built a high-rise down the street from my house, and they used the empty lot next to my house as a dump. Not only did the dirt get into my house, but when they divided the property line, they created a ditch. Now it’s difficult for me to maintain the grass and it’s too late for me to take any legal action. As I type this, I’m embarrassed at the conditions I’ve been living in, but if you were to come inside my house, you will see that it is clean and well kept. I love interior design, so I’ve used the rag rolling painting technique to cover up imperfections in the walls. My house has given me the stability to be able to complete my Bachelor’s degree and pursue my career. I consider it a blessing, and it has allowed me to bless others, however at this point the conditions are becoming dangerous for my daughter and I. The reason I feel our house deserve a makeover is because I am a difference maker. I grew up in poverty and have overcome adversity and now whenever I have a chance to mentor youth & young adults, I do. I’m active in my community and am always willing to offer my time, talent, and resources to non-profit organizations. I am former Pittsburgh Idol and have contributed positively in my city ever since I've been able to. I recently traveled to Haiti alongside Wiz Khalifa's mom, Peachie Wimbush-Polk for an organization called Team Tassy whose mission is to fight poverty. Prior to my divorce, I also owned a successful inflatable bounce house company, and but unfortunately I wasn’t able to operate it by myself and had to liquidate it. The debt incurred from my business is holding me back from repairing my home. If Extreme Makeover would help me, you would be giving me the opportunity to focus on my career, my true passion of helping others, and also the ability to raise my daughter in a safe environment.

  35. Hey Ty,

He is always willing to give his time to others, never feels sorry for himself, or takes sympathy from others. He gives do generously his time, and love. There is one thing I forgot to mention, my Brother has been barreling cancer himself since 2010. Ty if you could help him with his home,it would be so awesome! I know he'd be pissed at me for this, but I don't care, I can't fix his cancer, but maybe we can help him fix his house! 36. Hi my name is Jennifer Riffle. On April 6th 2016 my parents went through the worst nightmare anyone could imagine. On this day my family not only lost their home to a horrific fire but my disabled brother who was bedridden with MS was inside. My father tried with everything he had to save him. My father was burned during this effort. After a brief stay at wake forest burn center we are blessed that he is now home and healing. When my parents returned they had absolutely NOTHING not only their home of 50 years with all there possessions was gone they had to bury their oldest and only son. They are still in shock mode. My husband and I have them living with us, we are blessed to have them. Things could have turned out much different if their neighbors hadn't kept my dad from going back in. So if their is any way you could them words could never express how great full our family would be. God bless.

  42. Hi,
It's Nina Gandy again i forgot to tell you we are about to be evicted. I've only been here a couple of months since we were evicted from our last home due to the termination and loosing the voucher. We have never had trash service because they want you to pay a year in advance i can't afford it and we are not the only ones my neighbors don't have trash service. They lost their mom a couple of months ago a woman who would take her family to feed the homeless. I can't understand why good people have to suffer like we do. My son was recognized just Monday from the board of education because of a piece he make for an art show. Very talented his art may end up in your offices one day. You really are out there and want to help someone who really needs it please help me. I have work since the day i found out i was pregnant with my first child. We have had our ups and downs. My son hot lined me twice because he said i wasn't feeding him weighing 240 pounds. The case was dismissed but to go through 4 day a week counseling for such a harsh accusation. Man i could go on and on but I'm still standing That's all that matters but I'm stand in need of prayer and help at this time in my life. I've always wanted to have the big family house for everyone i almost got it and I'm about to loose it. It's not like yours but what a beauty it would be if you had the chance. I would love to own this home please help me.

  43. Hello,
My name is Nina Gandy I'm a single parent of 3. My son is 18 grauating on the 19 of May. My daughters are 15 and 17. I know a lot of people have long drawn out stories why they are deserving of such a blessing. Well mine is short and straight to the point. I'm currently living with no gas and no lights. I was on the section 8 program until i recieved a promotion making $18 hr. Shortly after that i lost my job. Lost my section 8. Got hired at another facility and they wanted me to commit fraud. I couldn't be apart of that so i quit. Now that's how i ended up in my situation. I can tell you that living in these conditions are taking a toll on my family. My 15 year old wants to drop out of school and get a job to help me something i refuse to let her do, my 17 year old has drop out and starts at McDonalds today something i didn't want her to do. My son is applying to college I have no idea how I'm going to pay for that can't seem to get his senior dues in. I'm owed 38,000 in back child support something we will never see. I pray for a miracle everyday. I hate taking my kids through this but what else can i do i refuse to give up. I started a go fund for a graduation gift we only raised $5. I'm a good person with a big heart have so many children that are not biologically mine. How can i continue to support the children of our future in these conditions? I someone reads this I thank you for taking the time to hear my cry.

  44. Hello my name is Candace. I'd love for you all to meet my Mother. She is the kindest soul on this earth. She has been through a lot over the last 10 years. 10 years ago she had a husband, a home, a Mother, many sisters and brothers and of course me and my children. Quite a few years ago she fell ill and I had to move in with her and help take care of her and her husband. He was on home dialysis, severely diabetic, unable to walk but only a few feet. She was diagnosed with COPD, PTSD, a closed brain injury (similar to shaken baby syndrome) and an inoperable brain tumor. I cooked, cleaned, tended to them for many years. As her husband continued to get worse, her Mother fell ill and oddly they both ended up in the hospital at the same time. During which time I drove her back and forth to the hospital. Ultimately, her husband passed away and the day of his funeral she was flown my med flight to the hospital on life support. Without our knowledge, her oxygen equipment had been malfunctioning and she wasn't getting enough air. Within a week, her step daughter passed away as well. Not quite a year later, her Mother passed away. In the process of it all, her husband only had $5000 in life insurance and he was so strict about his debts that my Mother had limited access to all of it and although she had paid off the 2nd mortgage for him, the house was still in his name when he passed and she couldn't get Wells Fargo to discuss anything about her home with her. The home went into foreclosure and I moved her in with me. Her sister fell ill with an ovarian type cancer and only lived a few months. Then on my Moms birthday I had to wake her to tell her that her little dachshund had passed away in my living room. She rocked little Scooby for 2 hours before I could get her to let him go. She has endured so much loss that with your help, I'd like to give something special back to her. A home. Luck had it that my husband wasn't a very honest person and he put me and him in awful debt. I left him 2 years ago and took my son and my Mom and moved in with a friend I've known for 25 years. Meanwhile, I work for a manufacturing company which requires a lot of over time. A year ago my divorce became final. As with most similar situations, living with friends, crowding them, well you know that can't last forever so my Mom moved in with her sister and I moved in with my boyfriend. All I'm asking is for the chance to help my family. All I have ever tried to do is take care of my Mom, my son, my daughters, and anyone I love. I have prayed each night for God to show me the way. I take my Mom to some of her doctors appointments and she tells me how much she misses us living together. I miss it so much too. It's my job as her daughter to take care of her. I miss her each day. She doesn't feel like she has anything anymore. A woman who has worked like a dog most of her life. One who was repressed by her first husband. When I was 6 she worked part time while I was at school and saved every penny til she could buy a car. She got that car and taught herself how to drive when she was 24. After that, she worked for many years at Red Lobster. Sometimes she worked double shifts to support me. She became a Manager at a sheet metal fabrication company. Over the years, she was the go to person in my big family. Need a haircut? Ask Mama. Need someone to take you to the dr? Ask my Mama. Need a little money? Ask my Mama. Having surgery? Mama was the first one there. She did a lot for her sisters and brothers. She did a lot for her Mother. My Mother deserves a nice home. Something she can call her own. I wish I could give her the world but if writing to you will help me give her a home, that's a great start. My Mama has been the greatest source of advice, laughter, and love. She taught me to love unconditionally and I could work ten lifetimes and never be able to repay her for all she has done for me and my children. Please help me do this for her. She loves her sister and she is so thankful for all she does for her just as I am but I want her to have a home of her own. She told me one day that all she has is sitting in those bags and it broke my heart. A woman who has worked so hard to take care of everyone else fell ill and now she has nothing except what is left in a storage unit, a friends house, and in a few bags. Please help me put my family back together under the same roof. We are scattered and it's truly heartbreaking. My fiance has some land. We live in a little 3 bedroom, single wide trailer and his parents are there. They are very sick too. The space on the land would be perfect for a home behind that mobile home. His parents would be THRILLED if we could build a home behind them. Being that close is important because of their medical problems. I could get there quick if something happened. I am surrounded by wonderful people but there isn't enough room for my Mama in this trailer. There is barely enough room for us. My Mother has lost so much in her life. Please help me give something wonderful back to someone who has done nothing but give her whole life.

  48. Dear Extreme Home Makeover, I truly believe there are earth angels among us. I have been called that many times. I have been a nurse working in a medical intensive care for 25 years. I always considered myself to be a giver, but am now needing your help. The home I bought and love needs some major renovation. It was built in the 1950's and I found out there is alot of asbestos that needs to be removed(the siding on my back porch that is in need of demolition). Recently, the windows started just falling out of it and the window frames are rotting wood. Also I hired ppl to clean out my heating vents and they declined due to "asbestos tape"? I really need an earth angel to help me. I am getting older and have raised my daughter as a single mom. Please please please come and take care of my home. I am completely overwhelmed and no one wants to clean up all the asbestos in my home.

  49. We have a small congregation at church but a abundance of luv, my Apostle Yvette Smith & Bishop Nicholas Smith are amazing, it's a spirit led church an deserves an great upgrade, we have no kitchen,( an our church cooks an feeds our members even the homeless), small restroom an no rooms for our youth & toddlers to expand or explore in yet Apostle & Bishop make it work, they rent out the building sometimes paying out of pocket, I feel my church deserves a make over because Apostle & Bishop makes it happen, I was recently married on Nov 7 2015 at my church, Apostle asked for nothing in return to marry us, actually she married 4 couples between Oct & Dec of 2015, if anybody deserves this my Pastor & Bishop does so plz fix our church!!!!!!!!

  53. Hi my name is Brittani. The reason I contact you guys is because of my grandma who I also consider my bestfriend. For starters, she's absolutely amazing & at 80 years old tries to still do everything on her own (including jumping on her John deer tractor to mow her large field behind her house). A few years back my grandmother slipped on black ice in her driveway and shortly after found out she had a brain tumor. With the grace of God and our church homes prayers she pulled through it. Now ever since then, she struggles keeping up with her home and remembering what needs to be done. I moved in with her after my sons father committed suicide because I started to struggle as well raising my son on my own. Immediately I noticed how behind my grandma was on yard work, house duties, etc. things just would fall apart. Having this house since the 60's and being the stubborn woman she is, my grandmother constantly refuses help. We need repairs desperately but just can't afford it. This extreme makeover would be the best blessing and very much appreciated. Thank you for your time..

  59. Hi! My name is Mike. I've been married for 9 years and the father 4 kids. I'm 34 years old and a stay at home dad because of I'm my Epilepsy. I collect SSDI for the fact and it barely enough money to survive on with our kids or fix and replace what is need in or outside the house when my wife has a job. We bought our first home we live in now 4 years ago using the back pay of my SSDI. The house was built back in 1988. Then after we moved in our house almost everything started going wrong. For a couple of examples the original fence is around the house and it sun rotted, the tile on the floor is cracking and the grout is chipping out, the master bathroom shower we can't use because the grout is leaking and we may have Black Mould growing between the bathroom floor and kitchen sealing, etc. Will Please Help Us!?

  60. Hi! My name is Brittney, I would like to submit this for my mom. She lives in Amory,MS, She is the strongest woman I know, she's work hard her entire life to take care of us and still to this day does if there's a need. She spent thirteen years in a abusive marriage and In 2005 finally got the courage to leave with nothing but her car and moved into a trailer by our grandmother. After overcoming this she decided to buy a house that was built in the 50s it needed things fixed but was a good house. She's continued to fix it through the years but almost lost it due to financial issue when she had to get a new job, even though she try to fix stuff here and there it's becoming a burden as of now she can't even go into the living room because the floor is falling in and is also starting to Fall in at the entrance way the roof has started to leak it's been one thing after another I know that's she would be so appreciative for something like this to happen to take this burden off her!! Thanks

  65. Hello, where can I even begin. Well my name is Jade, I live in a small town in Oklahoma called Fairfax! It's not very big, but we have a home that means a lot to us. It's been in the family for so long. Awhile back, we would live with my grandmother and something bad happened. Where we couldn't live in the home anymore. My grandmother ended up leaving the grease on the stove, where it caught on fire. It's a 3 story house, kind of. But other then that, we really need a home to live in! My grandmother recently passed away. She has been trying to get the house fixed for so long so we could live in it like it is home again! So we still have a home we can't be comfortable and live in. I just hope you can come to this small town, and help our family get our home back! It would mean so much to have our home once again. I would always look watching your shows! Just hoping one day, maybe one day if I try, maybe he will show up one day… It would be so awesome. But I don't have a very great story to share! But we have history in this home, the house it basically for all our family members. I have a big family! Thank you for taking your time on reading this post.

  66. I believe my children's grandmother deserves a home makeover. She just lost her husband of 43 years to cancer. She has always been giving her last to everyone snd never once has anyone thought about giving back to her. Her biggest desire is to be able to leave her children and grandchildren a beautiful home filled with memories. Since the pasting of her late husband she really can't make her house over the way she would like.I feel deeply for this woman because she's a caring, loving, and understanding mother snd grandmother and woman who deserves the most best for all her courage and wisdom.

  67. My name is Carlee. I honestly don't even know where to begin. For starters my parents bought a fixer upper when we were little and then my father was laid off from work almost 10 years ago and for a good 3-4 years struggled to get a job. He had to move 4 hours away to get a job and my mother had to go back to school to get a job. They never got to start fixing the home before everything started changing and now our house is literally falling apart and we don't have the money to fix it. My siblings and I are having to help pitch in to keep the house from falling and it's been difficult for all of us. We don't even need something fancy. We just don't have the money to fix all of the damage and don't have to money go go and buy a new house. We would be honored if there would be any ways we could even get a small house that isn't falling apart. It doesn't have to be big or fancy.

  68. I am asking your help for my 83 year old grandfather. Long story short his house is falling down but let me start from the beginning so you know what kind of incredible man I am speaking of. First off he is a Vietnam veteran. He had a wife and two daughters one of which is my mom. His wife passed away from leukemia at a young age leaving him with two small girls to raise. My mom got sick at a young age with rheumatoid arthritis and then got auto immune hepatitis which caused her to have a liver transplant in 1986. She fought so hard and lived way past the ten years they gave her. She passed away on Halloween 2014. During the 80's when my mom was real bad the town of Wylie pulled together to help with fundraising and actually declared a day Tammy Blann day. Sorry I can't remember what day it was .Not a year before she passed her sister passed away. My grandpa Bobby saddler has served his country, buried his only two children, buried his wife, and yet still has never once complained. His house has been in bad shape for a long time and I have always felt so bad for him. I help him a lot with basic repairs but like the rest of my family I don't have the money to do very much. Well last week his house really took a turn for the worse along with the rest of the town of Wylie Texas. Softball size hail tore through his roof all the way into the house leaving drywall and insulation falling everywhere. The foundation is bad along with many other things so we have tried to move him in with us but he ain't leaving. He has been there since the 60's and raised my mom and aunt in there so I can't blame him. He is in very good health for his age and he deserves so much more than that house and I and begging for yalls help. We are running around like crazy trying to get his house tarped before we get more rain so we are in need of help a.s.a.p. Thanks for your time.

  72. I am requesting a home makeover for my mom, Nancy Paxton. I am the youngest daughter of three. With a very heavy heart, as I am waiting on surgery results for my mom, I beg your help! My 74 year old widowed mother recently feel out of a bus, she was going to a senior site to do crafts with the elderly. She broke her arm, back, and neck. She also slit her head open and required @25 staples/stitches. Her recovery has been very difficult, on the mend she completely broke her back again , this time causing paralysis from the chest down. Needless to say this has now caused the need for surgery…. We have been told that after the surgery that her paralysis might or might not change due to the spinal damage. So my sisters and I are grasping for help, to get her home updated and repaired to accommodate her needs. A little about my remarkable mom…. She raised 4 children in rural Big Stone Gap, Virginia, alone after her abusive husband finally left her and us. She never learned to drive and depends entirely on my sister for help. She loves her church, family, and friends very much. Her faith in God has gotten her this far! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Good bless. Thank you, Becky Summers
