  2. We are living in a small house with my mother, my grandmother and my grandfather,my child,my uncle and my aunt with her 2 kids, and its only 4 room, kitchen, dinning room and two bedrooms. And the space is too small for sharing, and my baby is suffering from synus so its a problems for us at home so we will love to have a bigger house for us to have a good space.

  3. My family has just gone through a divorce and we we were already struggling to pay the bills in the first place. Now we are living in a one parent income home. With that both my sibling are in college and we all know how expensive that is. In addition, my mom has to go through a very serious back surgery that will keep her out of work for a straight week if everything goes as planned. I am submitting this because I know my mom would never ask for help even if she needed it and I thought this would be an awesome surprise and a huge relief off my moms shoulders to have a house that you can walk in without being frustrated about everything constantly breaking and not having the money to fix it.
    Thank you for your time.

  6. I am writing on behalf of my grandmother she is living in a unstable house. She has lived here for over 15 years. She takes care of her granddaughter and her granddaughter mother. Her daughter is mentally sick and challenged so she cannot look after herself. My grandma is unemployed the only income she has is disability checks from her daughter. She had been trying to fix the house up for her self but she cannot afford how many things are wrong with it. I have been watching this show since I was a toddler I seen how many families you have made happy I just want my grandma happy. My grandma is sick with diabetes and high blood pressure. The house is terrible so many things wrong with it I don't think anyone should live here. I am praying you see this comment and contact me by my email. Please help us. Thank you

  7. Hi, my name is Emily. I am a mother of 2 boys and expecting again in august. I have been in and out of my family's home to the point where we don't have anywhere to go anymore. I am currently living with my boyfriend that doesn't want me here or anything to do with his baby I'm having. My great grandparents passed away over 5 years ago and the only place I really want to be is back where I grew up. Able to give my boys the feeling of life and love that I had. My grandparents old house is falling apart but I believe is fixable and I would do anything to have it remodel and made up to where me and my boys can live there safely. Thank you so much. Have a good day.

  10. Have a friend, mother of 3 children two of which have muscular dystrophy, one 18 the other 4. Daughter is 16. They live in a cramped 3 bedroom home built in the 1950's, not handicap accessible, and badly need of upgrade, remodel. She takes care of the children on her own, never complains and always has a smile for you. She is deeply in debt due to all the uncovered medical expenses(borrowed money to pay for the cost of special wheelchair for her 18 yr old) It takes her 4 hours a day to just bath and help him use the toilet. He weighs over 200lbs and she has to lift him from the chair to the toilet, then get him in the shower. She now faces the early death of her oldest, and the outcome for her youngest is right before eyes.
She would never ask for this type of help, but desperately needs it. Can you help?

  11. The house that we reside in is not live able.I would like for my little girl to live and grow up in the house. Before I leave her behind I want to make sure that she has a stable place to stay when she gets older.

  12. Hello, im just tired of all the moving . Im in a area thta I love , however the house needs a makeover extremely bad… thank you Renita in very very small rural America. Ill

  13. i dont hve a house im living with my fam in a house tht they going to take pls hlp us ne and my husband are uninployed pls hlp pls

  14. Yes, I would love to get my family, especially my mom, on extreme makeover! I have it hard but I don't think I'm suffering as much as my mother! I live with my mom and my brother. I have two kids and a husband. My husband is away. My mom is helping to support me and my kids. She has 2 jobs while I help out with all the responsibilities at home. My mothers house is old and my poor brother sleeps on the couch. We have 4 bedrooms and one bath. Two bedrooms are so small. My kids sleep with me and I wish they had their own room. I know for years my mother has wanted a nice house and wants to at least fix up her house but I strongly feel like I'm keeping her from doing that. Things could be easier if my husband was home but he's not. I just want to brighten up my mother. With as strong and as hard working as she is I believe she has gone way past the time for deserving something to show for it all. I wish my kids had their own rooms with a place to play with no obstacles. I just wish for all the best for them. I wish my brother had his own room to put his things. The little room he has is too small for all that he has. My mother is loved thru out our community and she deserves something wonderful. Please consider my story. It would be most appreciated.

  15. I am not asking for help for myself nor do I want any of the credit if this works. I have seen in and around this house where people that I respect live, and it is not suitable whatsoever, to sum it up in a nutshell there are untrained dogs and seriously needs tlc.. the oldest woman in the house (82) had open heart surgery twice within 9 months, a stroke shortly after, been in and out of hospitals around the state. and continues to be in and out of them to this day. her daughter, single mother of 5, just had double knee replacements. She babysits 3 of her grand babies (out of 6) the ages of 8 mos 1 yr and 2 yrs on the daily, leaving them both no way to work at all. there is one young boy still living home with them he was adopted when he was 3 weeks old. they are the nicest people and most generous I've met. I would give all I have to help these people. but I alike all the other applicants really don't have much to give besides the time and effort to get them help!! It is the most heart breaking thing to have to see people you care for struggle and suffer when they truly do not deserve it.

  16. We have a very caring and town oriented person in our small community. She and her husband have 3 children of their own, two that still live in home and she takes in other children that need a place to live. Their family is currently living in our towns hotel due to the mold … this is the second time within a year. She is on the waiting list for a lung transplant and depends on oxygen all the time. She continues to work from her hospital bed when she does not have to stay in the hotel. Kyston is the director for our town of Tatum’s Economic development. She plans all of our towns events and plays a huge part in our community. I believe she needs help and is a great candidate for your show. I have printed the application for her to do her part and hope you consider her and her family. Thank you. Sincerely, The town of Tatum, Texas.

  17. I was gonna ask for help. for me, my 94 dementia mother I care for 24/7, and my disabled son who lives with me and my mom. but I see many others who are more in need I guess. will just keep trying on my own here, but when I'm done, I'm done. it's not really safe here, and I'm doing all I can with all I have. sigh. feel free to refer me to ANYONE anywhere who might help with my home to make it safe for us. thanks

  18. I have a brother who has a girl who got kicked out of her house and my brother and her needs a place to live.

  19. Hi ABC Extreme Home Makeover! I would like the opportunity to have our home made-over due to my sons medical condition and handicap needs. Jaxon is 18 months old. He was born 2 months premature and spent 92 days in the NICU. When Jaxon was born, we had no clue that he would be battling a life threatening medical condition. On the 85th day that Jaxon was in the NICU, he was diagnosed with X Linked Myotubular Myopathy. XLMTM primarily effects the skeletal muscles causing Jaxon's entire body to be weakened. XLMTM is extremely rare, effecting only 1 in 50,000 males. There are about 350 known cases in the US, and up until about 4 months ago Jaxon was was the only known case in SC. Due to Jaxon's muscle weakness he breaths with the help of a ventilator, feeds through a feeding tube, can not walk, and requires in home nursing to help us care for him. Despite Jaxon's physical abilities, he is a bright, fun, and loving child. He has so much potential in life, if given the proper tools. It is my life's mission to make sure that he has the fulfilling life that he deserves, and you all could help us with that! As Jaxon continues to grow, it's going to become more challenging to move him around. I would like our home to be more handicap accessible, so that Jaxon can continue to be as mobile as he is use to being. Please consider giving our family this opportunity, so that Jaxon can have a bright fulfilling future!

    Sincerely,
    The Henson Family

  20. Hi my name is Keri and I'm a 30 year old single mom of 3 wonderful kids. 5 years ago my mom passed away suddenly from a massive heart attack. She was the most warm Christian woman you could ever hope to meet and loved her family more than anything. My dad who was left a quadriplegic after a terrible diving accident at age 15 was alone now after 43 years of marriage so I left my job as a hair stylist and my kids and i moved in so I could help take care of him. He helped support my kids and I as I helped to support him through this very new and difficult time. After spending a year trying to get used to this new life I decided to be a substitute teacher for grades pre-k through 5th. It was something I enjoyed and on my lunch break I could come home to fix my dad lunch so he was not left alone for very long at a time. My dad passed away in April of this year from a fast growing cancer that was found and surgically removed in late November 2014 and we spent Thanksgiving in the hospital. Upon returning home we had to learn again a new way to live. It was thought to be gone but in April 2015 it grew back with a furry and in 1 week after finding out it was back he passed away. Once again my life has been turned upside and it's been very hard for my children to accept that not only is grandma but now grandpa is no longer here. Substitute teaching is not enough and does not go through the summer so I quickly had to find a job to support my kids and all the financial burdens on my own. There has been massive flooding this year which has left the downstairs of my house with too much damage for me to handle on my own. With mold growing I do my best to control it but I'm worried it's gone beyond my control. I grew up in this house and my children have spent most of their lives here and it has a special place in our hearts and I pray for your help please! Thank you!

  21. Hi!!! I don't just want to be apart of your show, but I know I need to be. I mean my family of course. We live in parkville Maryland, not the most interesting place in the world by far I know. However we have been living in this residence for about four years and it's gotten worse since the day we moved in. I live with my Father, step mother, my older brother and I have a little brother (he's my half sibling). I am 15 years of age, young to be sending out an application I know but let's just say I'm the beat freak of my house and I like to get things done. However that's the problem, which is why I'm doing this. Money is really tight, and I fear for how much longer I will be living here, especially with the conditions of this place. I've lived in apartments since the start of grade school. I grew up with my grandma because my dad needed help while he worked day and night. My family and I we're thrilled to say we finally had a home and now it's falling apart. Closet racks fallen, flooring coming up, caulking undone, the railing on the stairs came out of the wall do to no support, bathroom toilet seats broken, ants in the kitchen (everywhere) a cabinet in the kitchen fell off the wall as well, mold in the basement, constant flooding when it rains, bad clutter in the basement and everywhere else. I stop eating because I can't deal with the ants and mess of this place, I mean where does it end ?! Please, I know you hear this too often but we desperately need your help so that we can call this place our home again and this time for good.

  22. Help, our house is falling down around us. My husband who is 45 has Parkinson's since he was 30 and it is extremely difficult for him to maintain our home. It desperately needs an overhaul. It's a two story and I know at some point he is going to need a bedroom on the first floor. It's so hard for him to go up and down stairs. I work full time as a nurse plus spend many hours a week watching my 1 year old grandson. We want to make our home comfortable but livable, unless a cure or Parkinson's comes along soon, there will still be plants growing in our gutters and weeds growing up the side of the house. Wood on the back side of the house is breaking down, home and deck. I just can't do it all. Thank you for your consideration.

  23. I have a story like NO other! I have read every one of the stories on this site and though they are all sad and in need, my story tops them all.

I could not find the link for the application so I can't apply, if possible could you email me an application?

Thank you for the WONDERFUL work you guys do to change people's lives.

    Darlene Howard

  24. Hi, I'm Leonie and I feel that my mother could really do with a new house. I was in an accident with my fiancé where he passed away and I was paralysed. I had to move back into my mother's house because I need her help to assist me and my 3 year old son. Her home needs to be adjusted for a wheelchair chair and my needs. As we have money available we changed the bathroom but there is so much that needs to to be adjusted for me to access all areas of the house. It will be a dream come true if you are able to make my mother's house wheelchair friendly and enough space for my son to have his own room as he is sharing the room with me. Thanking you in advance if you can make my dream come true. Leonie Bekker

  25. I am writing this on behalf of my mother and father. They are both on disability. My father has a terrible disease called Meniers. It's where your eyes, ears and brain are off kilter and you are constantly dizzy, nauses and sick as a result. My father is not able to work much because of it. My mother has been disabled since a young age and cannot work at all. She has hurneted disks and got surgery and the surgeon put the screws in her back wrong and caused them to break in her back. They struggle every and it saddens me to see. Extreme make over would be a blessing for my family considering our house is falling apart and they are in such debt. My parents deserve to live in a home where they are safe and it contributes to their disabilities. They need this. Our home is falling apart and there is nothing they can do about it.

  26. A farmer friend that I have is so needing help in the way of a home makeover. He works from sun up to sun down. His parents passed and he got to move into 'their big house' as if that were a good thing. So his inheritance is an old house and everything in it is old and worn. It is a nightmare and he works all the time for about a $1000. a month income. He has no time since he is always taking care of the farm and equipment to even move his stuff in. This man is so humble and uncomplaining. I hope that he would actually receive something nice for him as he is always so kind and helpful to others.

  27. I'm 15 I live with my parents,we live in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom mold infested house in Middleburg, Florida, you have been in my town before,I think you should come and makeover my home because I think it's causing my parents and I to get really sick, and the smell, the only good thing that is in this trailer is memories,Wi-Fi,and a roof over our head. Soon the roof will fall in,I'm not going to give you any heart felt story or anything,I'm just going to say please come makeover my home.

  28. To ABC Extreme Home Makeover:

This Application is for the Alonzo Family. I am not sure where to begin but, let me start with my grandfather.

My grandfather is 86 years old and was born in the Pueblo Of Laguna, he served 6 years in the U.S Navy and when he returned he married my grandmother who died 12 years ago, she was the main part in raising their kids, her death was a major loss. My grandfather was always working and giving back, he ran marathons all around the world. Him and my Grandmother had 4 children, 2 of which have died in the past 10 years. One of them was my father, who died exactly 10 years ago when i was only 3 years old. The other was my uncle who died 6 years ago. However two 4 years ago he had a small stroke and can no longer drive and has a hard time getting around the house, it takes a lot of work to just get him out of the house se he can enjoy dinners, and other things we might go and do. After my father died and my I was taken from my mother, my grandfather took me in, and raised me alone until his stroke, then my Aunt took both of us into her home.

Next my Cousin, He has been trying to fix the house that my father and my uncle lived in but it is just too much work for him alone, along with all of this work the house has been broken into 5 times in less than 1 year and they stole his tools as well as his building materials. He works as a DJ and does seasonal farm work, he has put his heart and soul into this house and time and time again his things are stolen and broken and he has to replace them.

Next Myself, I grew up with my Mom and Dad, we struggled, we sometimes had to shoplift for food, and sometimes missed meals and had close to nothing, after my father died, we were kicked out of the house and me and my mom just went to a park and slept there, after that we went from house to house until she decided that i deserved a better life, so left me with my grandfather where i have been ever since, i have always had the dream to have a “Normal” life, with my Mom and Dad, all under one roof, and living happily.

Lasty the one person that gave me that: My Aunt, She is a hard worker, mother, aunt, daughter, nurse, and is always there for all of us. She has been a nurse at a clinic for almost 20 years, she works so hard for all of us to make sure we have food, nice things, and are happy. She spends so much time on us, she rarely spends time for herself, she still has the little flip phone and is always working, exercising, helping, and giving. She took me and my grandfather in when he couldn’t. She lost her husband many years ago and still thinks about hims every day. Now she is leaving the clinic and will have to take on caring for my grandfather and a part time job. I wrote this for her, we would always watch Home Makeover and it was one of our favorite shows, we would always think how lucky those families are, now I hope we can be that lucky too.

My Name is Jonathon and I wrote this for my aunt, she does so much, now I want to do something for her. She cares for all of us, and now that she will be working even harder, I want there to be a nice place for her to come home too, and be able to relax.

  29. I am 15 and live with my mom dad sister and two brothers. I have watched a few of your episodes and i think it's great how you help people who need it. I would just like to ask if you could please give me and my family's home a makeover. There is a small living room. A small kitchen. And 2 bedrooms. Me and my brothers share the atic in which the walls are open and the windows are rotting out. We also have 1 unfinished bathroom for 6 people. And it's so hard for me to live like this and focus on school. So please help me and my family.

    Sincerely,
    Andrew Haberstich

  30. I'm writing in regards to my my best friend and her husband who is also my brother..There is no heartbreaking story here..just a couple who have raised 6 children and the youngest who is 16 is still living at home..they bought a starter home about 10 years ago and haven't been able to renovate due to one thing or another..they have had mice and squirrels invade there home..as of late they now have rats..it's very small home and no room for them let alone rats..its a 3 bedroom home and one bedroom is shared with laundry facilities..they do there best just to patch hole after hole..but money is hard to come by for them..they have worked so hard in there life just to get where they are now..I know you prolly won't even give this one a chance..but if you really good..I love them so much and would help them out if I could..but I can't so this is why I turn to you..Love You all and the great work you do for people..<3

  31. My mother Thelma Hunter is 92 years old and is a great lady who rise ten children on the side south of Chicago. I want to get my mother building and coach house in the rear of the building so I can take my mother back every summer, to stay in her house, right now she stay with me her daughter Diane Hunter her building is paid for but I cannot afford to fix up her property. It is a good neighbor and only ten minute where they are building the President library. My mom has help people all her life and I want to do something for her. Thank you

  32. I know you have so many sad stories to read. so I am going to try and make this different. Im on disability and was crippled in 1994 when a person lied about a horse saying it was safe to ride. it wasn't it flipped over backwards on top of me. And, I ended up with a dr that didn't know what a broken hip looked like besides he waited til the next day to look at my broken pelvis x-rays. besides broken sacrum, two broken wrists left one very worse off. and, I ended up with more problems that the doctor couldn't or didn't know to how to read on x-ray. but I get only $800mo being crippled at 24. I have almost 2 degrees but they don't do any good. my mother died that same year and 6 months after her my grandmother. And, my dad remarried that year to a lady who really does know she has a good man. they sold both their houses to get this triple wide and on property of 8 acres. But a few years later my dad fell outside during one of the worse freezing rain storms while at the pump house. he crawled on his hands dragging himself back to the house over 200 ft away even the fire department didn't know how he did it. he could have died in the cold. he broke his tibia and fibia and had no insurance either. Luckily the same doctor i had he had but did his surgery correctly. Problem though my dad was self employed and had no insurance. I didn't know it while I was trying to do jobs that provided a place to live taking care of horses and some riding. because when i lived at their place i lived in the shop office with no bathroom, shower or running water inside. I went out to the spicket to get water. I went to the gym everyday and showered there and worked out. in the office i had no regular heater and my arthritis was so bad i'd literally lay down on the floor crying. the inside i had no kitchen setup or washing/drying my clothes either. so i tried to find something i could do to supplement my income and a place to live. however, when a lady gave me the paperwork about the house going into foreclosure they than told me the doctor bills were overwhelming. and, at that time those hospitals were double billing people. the hospital billed for the surgery and the doctor did. there was a lawsuit and even after submitting to those firms they just took the info and never contacted him again. i found out that in oregon they have to take all the late fees penalties and late payments while they weren't taking anything from them. i got online and with some research and my dad asking a relative for a loan they were able to pay it and keep their house. He couldn't work. he was $300 over the amount for medicaid to help him. I left to Colorado for a job taking care of horses feeding etc. and than i finally got a good doctor couldn't fix anything but the meds to help control pain. i survived after that job by house sitting. And, I had a roommate for 6 1/2 years. I fought for her brothers rights after he had a stroke and held his hand the day he was dying til he died. I helped her get her stuff out of her house when it sold to the point of me crying from the pain. in texas the house she bought was structurally unsound and I got it bought back and her $100,000.00 she put down. she got a house in colorado. but all the things i did for her she decided i want you out. i have 2 cats a service dog shepherd and a 3 yr old stud apha horse named my pbr cowboy. animals i love to death. i was in shock a friend could do this to you. I came home. during the time i was gone my sister had some emotional issues that are fine now. but she stayed in my dads house. Also, my dad and ann went to courses for being foster parent for grandson and they had him for 6 months. they really enjoyed him. the triple wide isn't in very good shape now. the dogs have ruined all the carpet and even the drywall. the house smells of urine. the dogs are very old now but sadly the house since its a manufacture home is falling apart and one room doesn't smell. they love to garden and plant flowers. my old room in the shop office my dad power washed it and it leaked water in the shop office which i'd rather be in and be able to do my artwork. but the walls are moldy and i punched out a lot of the dry wall but the wood isn't very good looking. the beams in main shop holding up the loft some are showing breakage. my dad does all he can for extra work with aviation instruments and now he barely has anywhere to put it. hes retirement age and he can't stop working. my brother by marriage his business went downhill but he is a dam good hvac. but he is building his own building on the place for his business. they allowed this because he isn't at that point where he was before a load of contractors didn't pay him for equipment or the jobs he did. those guys left town filed bankruptcy. Looks are always deceiving upfront as they are quiet about their financial situation. but I dream of one day having a home and wish it was in texas where its dry climate because i am hurting everyday and they don't know i am crying in pain. i loved colorado but i don't have a vehicle or means to buy one or get a home or if i had an apartment i couldn't get to the grocery store. I have done so many things for people. i wish i just had a 2 bedroom home that nobody can say i don't want you living here any more. And, eventhough i came back i can't stay in this spare room long either. but my stepmom is going partially blind in one eye and she is falling. my dad can't even get a newer truck for himself to drive to work he has a 74 chevy with the entire body rusting and i'm afraid he gets into it with me and our dogs and fall straight through to the ground. everything in the office shop is ruined all my desks my new bed ruined. my horse is on the property adjoining theirs. its over growning blackberries are sticking my fingers as i put up portable fencing and t posts. i wish you could help this manufacture home creeks and its lumpy. the bathtub you need a plunger. they store her sons furniture. and the electric underground dog fence is partially working. i always sat and dreamed of a home. a art room to do paintings and my horse hair bridles. I've donated art bags to a fund to raise money. and as for all the military people that always post what they do…my dads boss was a test pilot in the air force and was flying up til last spring til a heart procedure. he never had an excuse he still works into his 90's. my dad was in the navy and he didn't go to vietnam due to his father having heart attack. and my stepmom her sisters husband was a top top person in Army and they are very much care about military. I wish would have signed the air force paperwork but my mom chase recruiters away. they need a house and things fixed because due to lifes unexpected problems they can't and haven't been able to. I make dinner's while staying here and buy dinners. p.s. i would give anything to be physically normal again before a 1200lb horse came over backwards on top of me and than stepping on me to get up while i was on my side. i do my best to work out everyday to keep my body active. please consider my dad and his wife. they need a break…

  33. I'm a 48 yr old single mom. Granted my son is 21 , he still lives with me. I have raised him on my own since he was 5. I recently just got out of a 5 yr relationship whom I lived with. So at 48 with my son and 2 beautiful malamutes, I had to search for a new home, on just my income, a pretty fixed budget. I searched for rentals, Couldn't find anything to take my dogs. So I started searching for a house, MY VERY FIRST HOUSE! After searching and searching I found The House, it's a 46 yr old house , I walked inside and it was perfect, I loved it. 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, finished basement, 2 gorgeous fireplaces (which came to find out hadn't been used in 9 years) I moved in ithe end of April, from the start, I started having electrical issues, this went in for 3 weeks till eventually one entire side of my house had no electricity at all, upstairs and downstairs. Ended up everything in house was hot, no neutral. Fixed that, all good for a week maybe and then we had a really bad rain storm and I went downstairs to find water coming in thru my walls in my laundry/utility room, in from the door from my garage to back yard, down the inside wall of my garage, in my fireplaces. All I could do was sit down and cry my heart out….why me…I can't afford this. The next morning I had the gutters cleaned , thinking they may b backed up. They were pretty dirty, so thought maybe that solved it. hoping at least it was that easy. NO, NOT A CHANCE. I noticed some of the siding pushed out where leaks were, thought maybe it. I have that concrete asbestos siding on house, breaks so easily. Horrible stuff. So got bids on siding, and took a loan out for siding. So siding has started….the find these hidden wood boards that were painted same color as house, glued onto foundation, pulled boards off, HUGE cracks in foundation, tons of rotting, moldy wood. One crack is about 4 inches wide and maybe at least 4 feet long. U could see right into my garage. SO HERE I AM….ANOTHER PROBLEM. HIDDEN foundation problems, covered up, inspector did not find, and none was disclosed by the seller at all. And I also called who the sellers claimed put the new roof on about 3 years ago….the company is no longer in business…closed down.
I'm wishing I never bought this mess of a house, I cry everyday…cause I don't know what I'm gonna do, I can't afford all this at once.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME, MY HOUSE NEEDS AN OVERHAU COMPLETE MAKEOVER. HELP ME PLEZ,

  34. Hello,I Am writing you on the behalf on the Methow Valley people.. Who all were Victims of the largest wildfire of washington state history. We have gotten, some very generous donations. at the start of the recovery process. but, the methow valley, which includes the small towns, of Methow, carlton, twisp, winthrop, and mazama communities. were also, hit after the fires of the Carlton Complex, Had major flash floods and mudslides. that took out two of our Major highways not long after. which besides the fires and losing houses. we lost more homes to the second disaster here. the highways were re built. and we do have a fire relief fund going to help build more houses. we also, were denied Individual grants from our government to help families rebuild or repair their houses and properties. We have 300 or more houses that were lost. not including the Damages to the mudslides. we also recently, had another flash flood and mudslide up Texas creek. that is above the town of carlton. minor damages to a few houses. and thank goodness no injuries. my, point to all of this is. here in Methow, Twisp, Winthrop. And mazama. we are having a housing crisis! we had housing shortages before the fires here. we lost allot of homes and rentals. we have people living in camper trailers, RV'S. Or others that have to move elsewhere. because now. the rentals that are slowly popping up. are unaffordable for our low to medium income people. we have seasonal jobs here. and at minimum wages. in winter time times are really tough! Can you please, look into this. to see if your wonderful show. can possibly help us stay in this beautiful valley we call home? and help us all build affordable safe housing for our homeless and dislocated workers here. you would be a blessing and a god send if you could help our communities on places to live. so, they can work and provided a roof over their children's and elders heads.. Thank you for your time. and i pray you can help the people of the methow valley.

  36. Without revealing too much publicly, my son and I moved 200 miles in 2013 to leave an unhealthy situation. I purchased our "project" home and we've been slowly working on it. We're happy w/our work but it seems our trouble found us. I need to replace our fence, a couple windows and other security features quickly and those items weren't even in my budget. Sigh…..

  37. Dearest Extreme Home Makeover,
I am Rose. I am a big fan of your show. So many times watching Extreme Makeover my eyes would fill with tears in awe of how greatly you touched so many lives for the better. All of the cast is fantastic.
I live in Banning, California. I am married with one child. I have a little boy, six years old. My son is a miracle baby and I will never forget it! My son has mild cerebral palsy, asthma, and has overcome many other obstacles. His name is Micah; my husbands' name is Julian. My husband and I are just one set of parents that are sincerely grateful towards our sons' Kung Fu teacher and I am sure there are plenty more. The school has become like a family between students, parents, and the instructor.
After presenting my own family I inform you that this is not about only my family but of a much more deserving individual. You see, I have my son enrolled in Kung Fu. It has helped him strengthen the muscles in his wrists, with balance and coordination, and gaining more confidence against all odds. The confidence he has in his own self has boosted my confidence as a mother.
The name of the school is Angel's Black Tiger Academy. This Instructor just puts all his heart out for these kids. Without very much equipment and gain for himself he shares with them knowledge he knows about the art. They are rolling on very worn down mats because the school could not afford some more. Some children have attended right along side their regular schooling from grade school to high school. The walls can use a new coat of paint. He also offers free classes to parents and to the community that is not enrolled. Angel gives hope to others. You could make this mans heart smile for what he does.
Ty Pennington, I am calling you out. Please, please, please come help us recognize this man. All Glory to God.
    Best Regards,
    Rosemary Romero

  39. I'm commenting in hopes that I will be heard. I come from a small town from long island, NY. There has been a recent tragedy and because of that I feel that the family involved deserves a break. Michelle McDonald was tragically killed in a car crash May 29,2015. She was a single mom who has left behind her 3yr old son. Michelle and her amazing little boy lived with her mother, Jennifer McDonald. Jennifer will be left to raise her innocent grandchild. Less than a year ago, Mrs McDonald also lost her husband. A few months prior to that Michelle who passed aways son Gage, jennifers grandson was in the hospital and had to get some of his intestines removed do to damage from a magnet he swallowed. Jennifer McDonald was there every night and day until his release. I happen to be friends with her daughter Michelle who was killed in the recent crash, and her son Matthew. Jennifer has worked in the Rocky Point high school for well over 15yrs serving lunch and still does. She was the cool who's always smiled, the one who always gave extras if there were any. In the past year alone the household has lost 2 incomes, one being her daughter Michelle who worked in retail and also her husbands. Losing 2 incomes are devastating. Especially now that she has to pay for Gage since his mommy can't any longer. The family has endured so much pain and sorrow. They've never asked for a thing from anyone and are always there when others are in need. They have a small home and have been living it that home for over 20yrs. Jennifer hasn't had extra money to do anything, repairs couldn't be done to par and so on and so forth. Her youngest son Matthew is also living in the home with his step daughter. Yes his step daughter. Not even his blood daughter. In fact she has been spending days at her elder sons home because knew people would be coming to give condolences, she didn't want people seeing the inside of her home, so she didn't stay there during the day to avoid having to bring them in the home. Anyhow Matthew and his stepdaughters mother broke up and he accepted her beautiful child as his own and has been taking care of her emotionally and financially since her own blood mother couldn't afford to and refused to raise her correctly. Jennifer is her step grandma per say, and takes care of her as she is her blood. There are 2 adults and 2 children living in a home that could use love. She would always put her grandkids first before ever doing something nice for herself. Shes such a selfless woman. When you ask her if you can do anything to help she always says, no its OK. She has a hard time accepting help because she doesn't want to bother anyone. Jennifer needs a home makeover. Having to raise now 2 kids with one income is going to be extremely difficult to do and she will do it happily. They deserve a break. Its takes a village to raise a child…..let's be that village and help this family in need. May God bless you and all you do for people.

  42. Hello my name is Katrina Sweet, I have a beautiful and special family. My Son Travis, 6, was diagnosed with autism at age 2. He still does not talk. He loves electronics well as his own space. He has meltdowns at times, sensory overload. My daughter Gabriella, 4, the cutest girl ever. She is so smart for her age. As she and her brother share a bedroom, it's tough being a girl and having your brother touch your things. My husband was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 2 years ago, which made him lose his job. I started working two jobs until he got another one. When he finally got one, it took a toll on his diabetes, working at an aluminum plant. He is lucky and blessed he still has some nerves left in him. He goes through heck and back for us just to make sure we have a roof over our heads. Yes it may be a place where we live, but it's not a home. It's falling apart. We had to tape up broken outlets that don't work anymore, Im lucky if i can find an outlet at all. But the worst thing is that we rent of course. But nowadays people trying to get a house in this economy it's hard. we barely make it month to month. The house makes us sick, and with my son he doesnt have as good of immune system as we do, so of course he gets sick more than us. We have looked for other places but they are just way too much for us, or in another town, and I dont want to move my child from a school when he has autism and does not do well with changes. We always seem like we have bad luck. We just need a sign from above to help us.

    Thank you,
    Katrina Sweet. Tenn.

  43. Hi my name is Janive and I love watching your show.Im writing all the way from South Africa and would really like to nominate my parents whohas recently been through a dificult time. My mom recently found out that she had total renal failure and have to go on dialysis 3 times a week. My dad is 65 and is still working and lucky for them is still on a medical aid which helps a lot with the treatment and medical bills. Every morning my dad wakes my mom up at four in the morning to get ready for the hospital
My moms session starts @ 6 o clock in the morning. On the 7th of may my dad woke my mom up but she didnt want to wake up. He bathed her and dressed her and tried to wakre her up again but still she didnt wake up. My dad rushed her to emergency where they found that her potassium levels was so high that she almost went into cardiac arrest . For the rest of the day it was touch and go after my mom went intova cardiac arrest just when we thought she was out of danger. She had to undergo an operation and 2 weeks later she is as fit as a fiddle. My dad was awesome and i would really like to do this for them. His car is not that reliable anymore but he makes a plan to get herto hospital and back. I want to thank him for what he is doing for my mom and i cant think of a better way than this.Keep up the good work you doing.

  44. My niece tina staples has been a paraplegic since 2004. She has 3 teenage children who can't even hardly live in her home. The roof is caving in the walls are rotting and the bugs have completely taking over. She has no way to fix it or to move any where. She has been hospitalized for mold poisoning 2 times. She has had to have part of her foot amputated cause of infections and this house is just awful and I've came and tried to fix things and fix the bathroom but they don't work again. They can't even take showers in there own home they have to go next door and my niece can't even clean her self cause of no water. We have tried to get approval for a new trailer or anything but we can not get approved and she sets and crys cause there is nothing she or any of us can do. The house should have been condemned years ago but she has no other place she can live with her electric wheelchair chairand can afford on a 700 check for disabilities. Please help her it's beyond my control but I still try to clean and help her everyday. Please find it in your hearts to pick her cause in this life she needs one good blessing or she may not be here to be able to watch her children grow up. Please!!!!!

  45. A family from my home town just yesterday lost their home to a house fire. This family is a young mom and dad, with a family pot belly pig, a dog and six new born puppies, 4 little boys and twins on the way. The mother is a stay at home mom. They are both very kind and giving people, and they lost everything. Please help this family of 6.

  46. Hello, my name Thomas Garcia. I am married to my wonderful wife Annette Garcia of 22 years and the lord has blessed with three handsome young men, our sons, Thomas Jr. 21, Dylan 16, and Jacob 15. Our home is literally falling apart, I have always worked and never depend on anyone. We live our lives one paycheck at a time and we have over the years tried repairing our home one room at a time. But it takes time to save up the money to do the repairs and by the time we're done it seems as though nothing was done. My boys tell us that they're going to support us soon we're going to live in a mansion and never be short on money again. From your lips to Gods' ears, I tell them. But we are in desperate need of home repair now, our roof has begun leaking and you can see mold forming throughout our house. Last October things took a turn for the worse I was diagnosed with aquired aplastic anemia. I am now permanently disabled, I have always been the primary supporter of my family my wife has always just had a part time job, I know she wants to do more but she can't , she now has to tend to me and my illness. She has been my rock since I was diagnosed and doesn't let me get down and depressed. my family means the world to me and I would love to be able – with your help provide them a livable house, one that is not falling or mold infested. I am a proud man always have been never looking for a handout, but I cannot just stand by and watch myself and my house deteriorate without even trying to do something about it. My wife and children have been through hell these last couple of months. Are living conditions are very poor at the moment I hope you can find it in your heart to change that for us. Thank you all very much and God bless. Sincerely, Thomas Garcia

  47. Hey my name is Sara Stephens, and I'm leaving this comment on behalf of the man in my life. He's a very strong, sweet, caring, selfless individual with two boys that he loves more than life itself. They are his life. He does everything he can to provide for them. But it's very difficult on him, with paying for a house, a truck, lawyers because his ex wrecked their car, and all the other bills piled on top of his shoulders. Not to mention feeding and clothing his boys. All on his own. The house he lives in is run down and has so many things wrong with it. But he's stuck in it because he doesn't have the money to get anything better. No, this isn't the most heart wrenching story out there. But if he could have something so amazing happen to him…he'd probably cry. He's struggled for almost 5 years now to give his boys the life they deserve. All the while sacrificing his health and and teeth because he doesn't make enough to pay for the insurance that his job offers. He's the most hard working man I know though. He's only 23 and works like a middle aged man. He needs and deserves this more than anyone I know. Please give it some thought. You would definitely be changing someone's life. Thank you..

  48. Hello I am Dana, as a young girl I always dreamed of that beautiful family with that beautiful house well the Lord has blessed me with a beautiful family but as I await for the house I make it work with what I have. Its amazing that in the midst of tragedy you still can find some good. My father was recently killed about 8 months ago and though life has thrown our family lemons yes we tend to make lemonade. I work a full time job helping intellectually challenged and disabled individuals a how to become more independent and when I'm not at work I'm working with young kids in our community to stay on track in life by being a youth minister and helping our teens reach their goals and so I teach dance for free to give the kids something to do rather than making bad choices than its home to raise my 7 kids in a 3 bedroom house yes imagine. I recently Became engaged and my husband to be works full time as a special education teacher and plays in his band to help make ends meet. Our home may be small but it is a humble home trying to manage sleeping arrangements is where the fun begins while all 7 kids have their personalities we have no space for each child to explore and grow into thier own. My father would always tell me all he wants is for me to be happy and and have my own home and with him passing and seeing that occur I feel as though I failed him in some way though my focus is on everyone and their needs I set aside my dream of having a beautiful home to accommodate my family. If by any chance dreams come true I hope my family and I could become nominated to be on this show. I can assure you this family is beyond deserving and as my kids and my friends for work always say Ms. Dana you need to do something for you, so yes I am definitely taking their advice. I pray my words and short story has touched your hearts in some way. I hope to hear from you. God bless
    Sincerely humble,
    Ms.dana

  49. This is a family that is truly in need of help. Two adults and three children.

Mary and Jason bought a house in 2007 and in 2008 it flooded and was a complete loss. They were not in a flood zone and did not have flood insurance. They were able to get some help rebuilding part of their house through "Johnson County Community Foundation", but they lost everything. (Clothes, furniture, etc.). It was a total loss. After the house continued to flood again and again and with no insurance, Jason's medical bills kept piling up. They were forced to file bankruptcy on their house and medical bills to survive and get out from under the home that continued to flood. In 2008 Mary's job of 8 years closed their doors and she was laid off. She then went to school and she graduated with honors and a GPA of 3.8 and an Associates degree in Human Services for mental health. For almost 4 years Mary has been the only person in the household that has been able to work. After several injuries her husband is left unable to work or help the family. Jason is disabled, but has been fighting for disability for 41 months. They have been denied several times due to poor representation. The decision was appealed a few months ago and now they are being told that it may be another year or two years before they make their decision on the appeal.

He has had three failed back surgeries, he has degenerative disc disease and he has had nine sinus surgeries over a four month period of time. After the surgeries were not successful doctors cut the top of his head from ear to ear to remove his frontal sinuses. He has migraines on a daily basis and has a tumor on his pituitary gland that is pressing on his optic nerve. He has continuous sinus infections, and his immune system is low due to being on antibiotics for 18 months or longer. He is unable to take antibiotics without getting c-diff. He has nerve damage to his leg and swelling in the other knee. His restrictions are that he can't lift over 5 lbs, no bending, twisting, stooping, sitting, or standing for more than 15 minutes at a time.

Basically there is no job he can keep or do without breaking his restrictions or missing due to illness.

Mary and Jason now live in a 3 bedroom trailer that's floors are falling apart. There are holes in the walls and the windows are sealed shut. There is mold in bathrooms and the sink leaks. The septic runs thru their yard and backs up in the yard when other residence put items in their toilets. The toilet pipes are cracked under the trailer and it is located in a bad neighborhood. Mary can only work dayshift while her children are in school and she has not been able to accept any other positions because of the shift requirements.

Mary and Jason took custody of their niece in 2012 after her mother and father abandoned her. Her father was in jail and her mother is a heroin addict. Mary and Jason do not get any type of assistance for the child they took in from her parents. They took her in, because they wanted to provide her with a home and a loving family like she deserves.

Mary and Jason are very unselfish and giving people. They work harder than anyone I know. Mary is up at 430 am to get the kids and herself ready for school and work. She works all day serving food to patients and them comes back home to care for her children and for her sick husband. They struggle to make ends meet on most days and really just need a new start and help recovering from all the devistation that has hit their family.
This is truly a family in need of assistance, but the system has failed them. I am trying to find a few people willing to give a little to go to a big cause. Mary and Jason deserve to have a chance at having a home for their children and this would help them get started.

  51. Hey. My name is Samantha, and i live with my grandparents. My grandpa Charles is 72 and as yet to retire. He struggles with finacial issues and is always trying to fix stuff around the house or make it look better. I just wish i could give them this make over to take stress off him and give back to him for all he does. Im a single mom and he helps me every single day by helping me and my daughter with food to eat and a place to live. He deserve to come home relax, and be able to look at his house with a smile. I just want him to be happy

  52. This is a long shot right, sarcastically speaking. Joke. Any way to get down to the reason im writing is to ask for help, for help for my grandmother ! She is turning 62 next month and owns a home that has been in my family since my grandfather was a child so precious memories are laid out there. My grandmother has a few health issues as in COPD and has been in remission from breast cancer for some time now. Praise the lord ! Her house is not suitable for her to live in it any longer with these health issues . She is in good health over all as far as being on her own and such but this houseis falling apart . Back to where I said its OLD I meant that back then they didn't use installation and so forth so its not insulated at all, the ceiling has came down in the kitchen and im sure there may be water damage in there. Her second bedroom is closed off because the floor is rotted out of the house. I can NOT financially help my grandmother or I would without a doubt ! Im saddened to even be doing this but where can I turn ? I grew up watching your show and never imagined I would ever have to contact you personally asking for help. I dont want anything in return other than to be able to spend many more Years with my grandmother and for her to watxh her great grandchildren grow up. She means the world to us all and she gives and gives withi ut any questioning and its my turn to give back . I hope to hear from you and your team real soon. Please can you help me, help her ?
    Much love, Samantha Russell .

  53. Hello, I don't know where to begin so here I go! About 3 1/2 years ago my family was forced out of our home due to a flood/early summer thaw. Our home was 2 floors. We live on a river-quite beautiful most of the time, but on this day the river crested and our home flooded about 4-5 feet of water through our entire first floor. You name it was in our home from fish-animals- to raw sewage. I salvaged as much as I could and relocated it to my second floor. We lost a lot. Now this is where it gets interesting. 3 days after the flooding it got cold again freezing everything statewide in connecticut where I live. Homes where at risk of roof collapsing from the heavy snow which is now 1-2 feet thick of solid ice-and guess what-yes ours did sagging inward up to 3 feet and pushing out the walls. Sky lights collapsed and Sheetrock and glass was everywhere. I now 1 week later was taking everything back down that I brought up earlier that week, and now everything was on the first floor. From couches-tv-clothes- even our recently remodeled kitchen I had to remove the cabinets and bring them down to the first floor! My life was now entirely on the first floor. Now even worse!!! Heavy rain and a 2nd flood accurs exactly 2 weeks from the first flood. The river flooded higher they said since 1955. I now lost everything…everything. Pictures, clothes, money, jewelry, even my car was under water. Gone. The insurance companies were a joke. One saying the other was responsible. I now have a five year old, a 3 year old- still married- and struggling to rebuild. I have 0 retirement cashing out everything I had! In and out of friends and family houses. My kids never seen a christmass tree or been on vacation. It tears me up inside. I'm homeless but I owe on a house that I can't finish. The inside looks like a garage?? To top everything else I have Tourette syndrome-disk problems-and other health conditions! I need a helping hand, an angel on my side, anyone that can help me because I can't foresee ever finishing and my family deserves better! I'm loseing my will to live! 54. My name is Bennie Johnson I am a 71 year old man , I have lived in my house for 44 years and in December my house was in a bad fire and have had the loan to repair my home , it would be a blessing for someone to come and help me out , I reached out to many people and no one has come fourth , so it would be a blessing

  55. I have been watching your show for a long time and I really love how you help people that need it. I am a single Mother of a loving 19 month old son, that I am rising on my own. I work 3 days a week 15 hours a day. I was going to college to but had to stop for a while because I could sit very long with him. I am buying my home and it's 80yrs old. The windows are falling out, I have to use a hose to fill my tub to take a bath haven't had a shower in five years been doing baths, my windows are dry rotted, to hot in the summer and very cold in the winter, the plumbing gets clogged very easy, the bathroom floor is bowing up and the toilet is about to fall in, the walls are crumbling and cracking really bad. There's probably more but can't think of any more at the moment. I have asked so many for help but they all tell me NO. I went threw brain surgery 5yrs ago and I still have headaches but nothing to worry about they said. I am the type that don't ask for help but I am beyond my breaking point. It breaks my heart to see my son go threw this. But I do my best for him and anything for him I do. And if you can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

  56. Hi my name is Nicole Boyea and I'm writing to tell you about my friend ,Lori Beach.I know most people say they have a best friend that is wonderful but when I sit here and try to tell you how important and special Lori is its hard to put into words the positive she brings to so many lives. Lori and Chris have been married for 25 yrs and they have two teenagers. Chris works hard on a daily basis as a mechanic at a ski resort to provide for his family and it's taking a toll on his health because he works so hard. Lori is a stay at home mom, who cares for the family daily but She worked for years taking care of Mentally disabled adults. They are humble people who give until it hurts. They don't have a lot but they are proud of everything they've been able to provide for their kids. They have never had a lot of money and yet Lori continually takes what she has to help others. Her philosophy on life is it is better to give than to receive. I remember a day after hurricane Katrina Lori pulled into my driveway with her station wagon packed to the roof with supplies for men, woman, and children.Tote after Tote filled with everything from pillows and blanket , razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, teaching supplies, towels, sheets,to water and socks. Basically anything and everything you could imagine needing to get by in a crisis situation. The local radio station was calling for the public to donate an item or two to their drive and Lori took it upon herself to go above and beyond once again. Then when the radio dj tried to ask her on air what her name was as he was listing the items she donated. she declined to give her name saying only that names were not important. Only that she was living like God was watching. The radio dj said he had an entire van filled with only the items that Lori donated. He had to go and empty the van before he could accept additional donations. He told her he was not an emotional man but he asked if he could hug her. That is the kind of woman she is! She does things like this all the time! When 911 devastated our country, She organized a Candle light vigil in the park for our community to join in and comfort each other. Over 200 people attended. She asked me to take a ride with her one day out of the blue. She had gone to the grocery store and bought bag after bag of grocery items and diapers etc. that she wanted to leave on the doorstep of a single mother of 5 children. She even left an envelope with $35 in it with a note that said "Please breath easy for a little while, this is not meant to offend you or hint that you are not doing your job as a mom, you are doing an amazing job. It is only meant to help. I too know what it is like to struggle day to day. I heard you were having problems with your van, here is $35 towards parts or repair. I know its not much but every little bit helps right? Have a blessed day!" Again, she left no name and asked for no recognition for this. Giving is the only thing she concerns herself with. This is not the only time she has delivered needed groceries to needy families. It is not always large amounts, but its always from her heart! She has taken it upon herself to go out an buy needed supplies for the homeless. She bought fleece blankets, socks, scarfs, gloves, hygiene items, snack food and non perishable food items that were easily carried. She was able to up together 50+ bags that year and she also delivered a meal of goulash and rolls and a drink for approx. 100 to the day shelter for the homeless that same day ( Christmas Eve) that her mother had volunteered to help her cook. The following year she involved the public asking for donations of coats, hand warmers etc. and started a page on facebook that she kept track of all the donations with, and called for others to help their fellow man at any opportunity. The page name is HelpWheneverPossible. Lori asked me last month who I knew of anyone with little children that struggles day to day that needs a helping hand to give their children a good Xmas this year. After my suggestion, Lori showed up at my house with her back seat and trunk full of toys and clothes , coats and boots, hats and gloves for these kids and even a couple things for the single mom raising them. It is not only money that Lori gives, she is always there to lend a hand, do a favor for anyone, give a ride or give a place to stay to anyone who needs it. She and Chris have opened up their home multiple times to friends or family members who needed a place to live. Lori has been there for me through the hardest times of my life never being judgmental. She has raised 2 kids that have struggled through physical, mental and emotional disabilities and helped them see that their life is meaningful and they are perfect in every way. Telling them they are blessed for the great things that they are capable of doing.

The one thing I do have to say about Lori and her family is that they live in a very run down mobile home with an addition that is unfinished. they have leaky roofs and spongy floors, drafty windows and they do not possess the skills or massive amount of funds it would take to finish or fix the problems in their home. They do not complain about it and are thankful for having a place to live at all. But I would love to see this family get a new home or something amazingly wonderful like that! No family deserves it more. I don't know if this letter will even be read but if it is I can't tell you the impact you will make if you choose To do something BIG for Lori and her family. I've met many people in my life, in many states that I've lived in and I can honestly tell you that if anyone needs to be shown that they've done such a good job in life showing people what it's like to have a hand,a hug and a warm coat handed to them, it's this woman. She deserves to finally be recognized for the good she brings to this world. What she does is invaluable. Reminding people that they matter. The world would be a better place if everyone had a Lori in their life.Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

  60. Hello my name is Jenay Brown and I desperately need your help! My aunt is a resident in Washington D.C. and has lived there most of her life. Ten years ago she lost her only brother, Five years prior to that she lost her husband. Many years previous to those events as a child she lost her parents. She and her husband never had children as he was ill throughout their marriage before he was deceased. With the many of her financial struggles, she was unable to maintain the upkeepings of her home. But her smile always shinned bright. She has always taken care of me and my brothers and a host of friends and neighbors whenever we were in need. She recently retired and is now a foster parent and has taken care of many troubled youths in D.C. She patches up her home little by little just to keep it standing, but its not working. But the little of the home she has, she extends it many people to keep them off the streets. Her home was built in 1910 and is still valuable to our family 105 yrs later. She has worked sooo hard and never asks for anything. It brings tears to my eyes knowing the struggles she had taking care of her husband his last years and my father too with minimum help. The home needs new paint, new gutters, roof, kitchen, and bathroom remodeling. Unfortunately that's not even half the list of repairs needed. She is deservant of much, much more, but I thought I'd start by finding help with making her house a home again. Please help!!

  61. Hi my name is Diana! My husband and I initially bought a condo in Southern CA when everything was booming! The condo was super expensive and we ended up short selling for more than half the price 🙁 we put our heart and souls into the condo as well as all of our money. We rented a house for a bit and then decided to try and buy again. We were able to use my husbands VA loan to get a house with a bit of land. We had no money for a down pmt but luckily did not need one. We have lived in the house for 2 years now but have not been able to upgrade anything. Our carpet looks like frat boys live there with our two toddlers. We haven't even been able to paint. We need air conditioning bad but unfortunately we have asbestos in our ceiling and to have it taken care of would be a fortune. Our back yard is dirt. Washer and Dryer are stackable from the condo and barely work. Our roof is a fire hazard and we live in a fire 2 zone and there is no way we can afford to get that replaced. The fridge is also from the condo 10 years ago and is ready to give out as well. My husband and I work full time just to make ends meet and I would love to have a beautiful house to come home to and have our children grow up in. So please come to our rescue and help us!

  62. I bought an ancient mobile home on a small piece of land with money I had saved from my income taxes & had every intention of "fixing it up", but since moving in one thing after another has broken or fallen apart! Although my kids & I are lucky to have our ugly house on wheels, we dream of having a nice home.

  63. I just want to start by saying I live EMHE! I record them and watch them live! I am submitting for my soon to be father in law and husband to be, my step kids and in a way .. myself. We are living in my honey's (James' childhood home). Its outs side the city, built in the 70s, not the best of neighborhoods but his parents worked hard for it. They did some updates with what money they had. But that was 20 years ago. James has back problems, I have back problems. We both and both of his kids, Amy and Gavin (10 and 12) have allergies and we have the original heat and air system, the water heater is going out, the carpet is bad, we have wasted space at the back of the house, the windows are old. I mean I could go on and on. We would love to open the house up, get tubs in the bathrooms, maybe solar or wind power, plant gardens, get security lights and tall privacy fence, a new kitchen, more efficient systems that dont eat up utility services and throw allergens everywhere. We need help. While preserving the memory or his mom who died from cancer at the end of 2014. RIP. I am disabled, he is a truck driver, his dad is paying off a mortgage on the home he is living in and while we all may be the nicest people karma cant remodel your home.

  64. I have read threw so many of the stories on the people who need their homes replaced. I was going to request for mine, But I think there are more people who need it more than I do. Please consider Lisa Wood. I feel for her. I would never want my kids to see me go threw that or have to go threw that. They deserve a new home. My kids are strong. They can survive our run down house. Lisa sounds like she and her family needs a break. My heart and prays goes to her and her family.

  65. I'm crying for help! cancer is wiping out my family and I just want to be able to make sure my kids that my mother who is 64 adopted and my brothers daughter who is in a mental facility after my brothers death after 2 yes ago from rectal colon cancer and two months later I was diagnosed with 3rd stage breast cancer and wasn't able to care for them or even know if I will survive this Cancer but throughout the treatment and using her truck it is having problem that she can't afford to fix,but the house that we live in is under a tremendous about of damage because of water leaks and we live in a flood prone area. these kids need a better place to live and were just not able to provide that at this time or in the future. my kids are 3 and 15 and my brothers daughter is 16 and things are looking very grim at this'd moment, and all I'm asking is to please take us into consideration to help us out with this overwhelming situation. thank you from the bottom of all out hearts. Rhonda Sharon wade Mallory and Toni.

  66. I am not sure how to start or how much to tell. I have a very close friend who has gone through so much since she was 16. She was in a car crash that left her with a long hard road to recovery. She had more surgeries than one should ever have to repair the damage. She got a settlement and used this to purchase a home soon had her son and thought live was going good. The house was given a face lift before she bought it little did she know how bad it was. Her son is supportive and a amaising boy he understands more than most how much his mom gave up for him to be comfortable. She was given bad news a couple years ago now that she had cancer and went for tests and again surgery. During her recovery she noticed her mom wasn't doing well made it known that she was worried. While she was at her parents recovering her mom was diagnosed with cancer and was told that it was late stages and all the doctors could do is make her comfortable. Her mom passed a couple months ago and a few weeks ago was told the doctors thought they saw something on her test results and want to start check on everything out again. I worry that the stress of everything that is wrong with her house may effect her health. She deserves much better that the hand she has been dealt. Her foundation is crumbling. She found mold in the walls in her basement. Her windows are falling out. She just got her roof pached because it was leaking badly. I reallyhopethat you would be willing to help. We live in cold lake Alberta.

  67. Hello, my name is Lauren garton but I am writing for a family friend she has stage 4 breast cancer. She has had surgery and beat it once but it has returned once again. She has recently had her breast removed and soon will be going in for surgery to remove kidney stones. She also had skull surgery to remove a cancerous area. She is adopted and doesn't have any family. She lives in a small tiny house that was her deceased moms house that she was raised in. She has two large dogs and two cats and not enough space. Her shower is caving in and everything in the house is very old and likely to fall apart. I am a 20
Year old college student with not much money to help her with. But it would be absolutely life changing if you could help her have a better life while she is still here.

  68. My family could really use some help. I am 29 with 3 kids. I also raise 2 step kids as well. I'm a single dad. My house has only 2 bedrooms though. A room for my boys and a room for my girls. No bedroom for myself. U work full time and have been working on fixing my house. My ex girlfriend lived here and destroyed alloy of my home when she cheated on me with my ex friend. Please help me fix my house for my kids. I've been through a few bad car accidents and am struggling financially.

I have a pretty mature newborn and my mother has several health conditions such as afib, chf, copd, and is dependent on oxygen.I work 6 days a week to try and make ends meet but it's overbearing, frustrating, and very stressful knowing I'm doing everything that I can and it's not good enough. 71. Hi I am Yumiko Scott of Cincinnati Ohio and I am writing on behalf of myself. I am a single mom of 4 gifted and talented boys. We don't own a home we actually live in a 2 bed room apartment. I haven't been able to give my boys everything they have wanted but God has never let us go without what we needed. My oldest son graduate high school next year 2016 and my only desire as a mom is to let his last year of high school be in a comfortable home we can call our own. WE ARE IN CINCINNATI OHIO WHERE THERE ARE A LOT OF HOMES FOR SALE BUT I CAN'T BUY ONE CAUSE IM THE ONLY ONE WORKING. I know this would be a twist to your show with me wanting a make over of a home that I don't even have but its worth a try.

  72. I became disabled after being injured on my job and lost a great portion of my income. I was blessed to purchase a home some years ago as an assumption-no qualifying. However, my income does not allow me to perform needed repairs. Recently, storms, wind, and hail have damaged my roof and water is leaking into my home. I would like help with getting my roof repaired so that water will not do more damage to my home. Thank you for your consideration and God bless Extreme Home Makeover(Submitted May 2015).

  73. Hello, I know this is not going to be read in a serious way but I just feel better writing it. I am not use to being ill and not keeping a clean home, especially on that need upgrading. I have disabled but not giving up I hope to be working by next year I work in the medical field, I had back surgery, stroke, and God is has left me here for a reason, I had to get custody of my 22 month year old Grandson, he is my sons' child, my son can't care for him, and his mother is incarcerated. My husband and I are separated but have come together to care for the baby. My husband is a dialysis patient and goes 3 times a week to the VA in Columbia , SC I am taking some classes on line but with the baby, not being able to place him in daycare because of the price, he has attended a few weeks but had to discontinue. The State will not help me with daycare because I don't work. My house is a 3 bedroom that was built in the 60s'and is was not made for disable people to get around in it. By writing this it make me feel better, and I know that God hear my prayers. It is so many people that is in need of help, I am use to being on the other side taking care of others. I need at least two bedrooms down stairs , as it is not I have one bedroom down stairs and unable to get to the upstairs. I do receive some disability funds but my credit is not the best and the money is just enough to keep me afloat. Thanking you I am in advance.

  74. To ABC Extreme Home Make Over,

This email is written in support of Scoshi Cahoon a Special Education Teacher at Parkview Elementary School in Salt lake City. The majority of students at this school are below poverty level and have many needs. Scoshi has been not only a leader, and teacher in special education, but an amazing support to all of the faculty, students and families involved. I have witnessed her, spending many more hours than required assisting students, parents and teachers in raising the quality of each student's educational experience.

Schoshi demonstrates a fine example of what a good daughter, educator and team player should be. The students and faculty all love and respect her. We appreciate her and look forward to working with her each day. Everyone at our school loves her positive attitude and presence.¬¬¬¬

One would never imagine that she is also the sole caretaker for her disabled mother, a stroke victim. She keeps moving forward and does not ask for any handouts. Scoshi has been working 2-3 jobs to make ends meet and cover costs of uncovered medical expenses. Because she works so hard, and lives in a high-poverty area, any charity eligibilities are just out of reach. She is 40 years old & has no time for a social life of her own. She hopes one day to have a family of her own, however her dedication to her mother and her school family has left no time for her to do anything else.

This unselfish saint of a woman is in great need. The van that she uses to transport her mother to medical services is falling apart and the lift is going out. The last time it was repaired, kindly mechanics had to search junk-yards for parts. In my opinion the vehicle boarders on not being safe, but it is all that she has. Her home is in disrepair and not very accessible for a wheelchair bound senior and her single daughter trying to lift her in and out of beds, chairs and bathroom needs. The outside of her home is also in great need of attention. She also has a great deal of trouble affording the help she needs to keep her mom home and safe while she works.

I know that there are many wonderful people in need of resources and I try to keep them all in my prayers, however this woman and her mother are “Angels on Earth” and I feel that there must be someone somewhere who would be willing to help them.

    Respectfully,

    Robyn Grow, MAT
