Are you a teen actor who is looking to land a professional job? You are in luck, we have a new audition opportunity for you! Spark Theatre Company, a new theatre for young audiences is seeking non-equity professionals for our upcoming touring production of NEW KID by Dennis Foon. Male and female teen actors are being cast for the upcoming 2018 season. Acting auditions are being held on Sunday, December 10th and Monday, December 11th. They are taking place in Elyria, Ohio. The shows will take place in schools across the country. The tour will run from May 2018 through June 2018. This is a paid acting job. Production Dates: May 14th-June 8th, 2018 (MUST have daytime availability)
Rehearsal Start Date: April 23rd
Actors will be paid a $500 stipend and college students are also eligible for Work-Based Learning Credit.

New Kid is the story of Nick, a young boy from an imaginary country called Homeland who moves to the United States with his family. There, he struggles with his fear of a new culture and language as well as hostile classmates who taunt him for being different. The spirit of youth prevails over differences in color and culture, promoting the message that in the end, kids are all the same.
MOTHER- (18+ female, any ethnicity) Nick’s Mother. Kind & Warm.
NICK- (18+ male to play a child, any ethnicity) A boy who moves to the USA from the imaginary country of Homeland.
MENCH- (18+ female to play a child, any ethnicity) A girl who befriends Nick.
MUG- (18+ male to play a child, any ethnicity) A boy who is reluctant to accept his new classmate, Nick.
