It’s official – Nickelodeon will soon have another hit on it’s hands – and a rockin’ one at that! School of Rock is set to win over audiences around the globe with an awesome mix of hilarious zingers and sweet jams and now the search is on for more talented performers to join the party. Auditions for several roles in this fantastic Nick production will soon be up for grabs and up and coming actors, singers and dancers can get more information on how to be a part of the show today.
School of Rock is a TV take on the hit 2003 Jack Black film of the same title. The story follows unemployed, struggling musician Dewey Finn, a man with a passion for rock and roll but few other things going for him. When Dewey decides to pass himself off as a substitute teacher at a well to do prep school he realizes that he may have more in him than he thought as he
opens the kids up to not only classic music but valuable life lessons. The actors cast in this epic production so far are listed below but there are still many more exciting roles yet to be filled.

Ever since I was little, I have loved music, singing, writing it, performing it. Right from the start, my elementary music teacher new I had talent, so when it came time to signing up for band and choosing an instrument, he would not let me play any easy instrument. I said I wanted to play the drums "You are to tiny for the drums," ok then what should I play? "The French Horn." I was like how is that hard? He said that since it is a brass instrument with only three keys, I would need to make all of the pitches with my lips only. So I choose the French horn. He instantly got me music books, and exercises to start practicing before the school year. The first day of band, I was the only one that new how to play my band teacher got frustrated because he couldn't teach me anything that I didn't already know. He eventually hated me even though I was the best one at solo and ensemble, and was in honors band. Hello, my name is amelia. Looking at this articale it seems that this show would be perfect for me.I forgot to mention that I am 12 and will turn 13 in may. At my middle school that had a band group. In my first year there I learned how to play the alto saxophone. On my second year I thought I didn't want to stick to the same old instrument so I moved to a much harder instrument:the clarinet. When I found out from my band teacher that the saxophone was most commonly known as the easiest instrument to play, my instinct told me that I had to leave my dearest Jupiter (saxophone name) and move on to the next level in my instrumental career. Once I got the just of the clarinet, I didn't even need my music sheet to figure out the notes, I just knew, even when I didn't know what the sheet even said before. I could only do this by hearing other instruments like the saxophone and trumpet and try to match the tune. When I started making up notes to match the melody while the rest of the clarinets sticked to their spot, I stood to either flute, trumpet, trombone, or saxophone, which ever seemed more pleaseing to the ear. After that, I started making my own music and adding harmonies to my band sheets then joined chorus to learn more about music.
