Get ready for another hilarious installment of the horror spoof franchise Scary Movie and get ready for all new casting calls. Dimension Films and The Weinstein Company are bringing back the hit film series with Scary Movie 5 and there are several roles of all sizes available for up and coming actors.
Scary Movie 5 will be a bit of a departure from the first four films, Disney Channel phenom Ashley Tisdale (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, High School Musical 1,2 and 3) will take the comedic reigns from Anna Faris and this edition will focus on skewering one film as opposed to several as the previous four had done. The film chosen as the focus of Scary Movie 5 will be none other than the Oscar winning Natalie Portman starrer Black Swan. SM5 will tell the story of Jody (Tisdale) a dancer and mother of two vying for the lead in a new ballet production by a creepy French director named Pierre. Jody must battle her friend Kendra for the lead, deal with her controlling mother and watch out for the veteran dancer whose place she took as she goes crazy. This story is ripe for parody and the highly skilled team of comedy legend David Zucker (The Naked Gun, BASEketball) and director Malcolm D. Lee (Undercover Brother, Soul Men) will no doubt pack this movie to the gills with extreme comedy. This is an amazing opportunity for talented performers to work on one of the biggest comedy franchises in Hollywood and to learn from some of the funniest people in the industry today.
