When I was 16 and got my first car, I immediately enrolled in the closest karate class. With the dream of becoming a kung fu legend I attended once a week. I showed up, did some push ups, punched a bag and after donning the correct pads got into sanctioned slapping matches with other attendees. I felt like such a boss.
After about a month of this, my big brother asked me what I had learned. I agreed and took 2 steps back. I demonstrated a front kick. Of which he defeated immediately with a punch to my pinky toe. Effective and mortifying in my opinion. But it did instill in me a decision to start taking kung fu seriously.
Hi, my name is Josh. I love singing, acting and kung fu. I really can’t help but make some sort of "Kung fu Panda" reference here, but sadly I’m shaped more like an early Disney’s Peter Pan, than I ever would an anthropomorphic pants wearing panda.
Considering myself a Disney fan, I’ve been known to plop down in front of the television babysitting my niece from time to time to watch a few episodes of Hannah Montana, to Kickin it. But at some days consoling myself with a tub of Ben and Jerry’s, watching Hannah Montana, and crying thinking, “why can’t she just have it all?”
I boast a decent amount of television acting experience from my time in new Zealand, going as far as even getting the dream of a life time of being on set for Disney’s power rangers over there.
To be honest, when I found out that I even had the possibility of being on the show, I couldn’t even bring the words together to thank my agent. Instead I just started shouting the original “GO GO POWER RANGERS!“ theme song into the phone for a minute straight. They laughed. Which I‘m assuming was a good sign as opposed to panic. Either way, I was on the show. And found that I enjoyed acting.
