Hello, D.C.! My name is Birta María, I'm majoring in Dramatic Arts here in Iceland, you see I'm in high school (the school system here is a little bit different). This is a little embarrassing, but I actually found a letter a while back, that I wrote when I was eleven years old, I lived in Germany at the time and my purpose for it was to send it to D.C., but sadly I was discouraged to do so, but I won't let anybody take my dreams away from me any longer, we only live once! we have to make the best of it! 🙂 So here is the letter!

Dear D.C., I grew up with you, learned my English from you and since the age of four, I have wanted to be a part of your work. When I was younger I went through a lot of difficult obstacles, and I won't be surprised if life keeps challenging me until I leave this earth, but I am a fighter. My dreams and hopes are to work in the acting industry. The only thing that will ever make me happier than I am when I act is a flight ticket to the USA alongside a well structured letter telling me that in a month or two, I would be working with you, Disney! I write stories, even novels (in process) and have an incredibly vivid and creative imagination. I am unafraid to be myself and I am very open and hard-working! I would give my right arm and left leg to work with you! Even if I would only work as an extra! I would work my way up and stay positive! (I will note that I am right handed and I use my left leg as my front leg when I snowboard, that does clarify a little why my right hand and left leg are a little more significant than other body parts) 🙂 I will end this letter by telling you that I have ambitions and dreams beyond my limits but I will strive for them, no matter what it takes.
