Your chance to work with the Academy Award winner on his next film is here! Casting directors are looking for men, women and kids to take part in a scene for a baseball game. The movie is filming in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.
The film “Fences” also stars Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder). Washington and Davis are reprising their Broadway roles in which both won the Tony Award for Best Actor/Actress in 2010. The play is being adapted for screen. Playbill describes fences as following, “Troy Maxson, a former baseball player in the Negro Leagues now reduced to collecting trash, must deal with his headstrong football-player son and his wife, who reevaluates their marriage when Troy comes home with the baby he fathered with another woman.”
Casting directors are looking for kids of all ethnicities between the ages of 5 and 14 years old, African American boys between the ages of 6 and 12 years old who know and understand the game of baseball and men and women 30-60 years old who are of Italian, Greek, Armenian and Middle Eastern descent for the shoot. They are looking for non-union talent.
