Hello my name is robin im a father of two and husband,home maker,landscaper,carpenter. Basicly i try to do everything i can for my family. Recently i decided to paint last summer and thats when it happened! I went to replace a window board and…..dry rot! So instead of painting i rebuilt the whole back adon (laundry room) the floor is still unfinished i replaced beams but my garage is still the original reason for water damage now im in debt the whole rest of my house is falling apart from plumbing to wireing one thing after another ive now got more health problems then i can get delt with and my hands go numb now from doing all this work by myself. Please my family deserves so much better from me then im able to do my house was last redone in 1942! The only reason were able to even have a roof (for now) over our heads is our aunt who rents/saling the house to use GOD bless her so if you can help us please theres no way i could ever repay you for this but i know GOD holds a special place for you already for all the others you have helped thank you for your time and GOD bless

This house needed a lot of TLC. My daughters husband works long hours and has no time for the huge tasks at home. Surrounded by broken cupboards leaking taps broken floor tiles etc, my daughter took a hammer and removed all the above. Now the house has been incomplete for two years. My daughter is one of the 18 woman that joined the SOUTH AFRICAN FAMILY RELIEF PROJECT. She travels far to other towns cities to help feed the homeless. The house remains incomplete and cluttered. Hi, I'm Asheka the sixth child of four boys and two girls. From a close happy family until we lost mum in 2011 and my second brother in 2013 due to heart attack. Dad suffers from Inferzma where he has to be on oxygen 24/7. His organs are giving up on him. So our big happy family is not so happy anymore.
My brothers are self employed and are trying their best to give dad a comfortable life.
I'm at home to look after dad cause he can't be alone. My husband had to leave school when his dad died to look after his family. And his not qualified so its hard for him to get a decent job. He works with my brother to make ends meat for us. I feel sorry for him cause his a great person. We all live together, its my dad,late second brother wife n daughter, my fourth brother suffers high pressure and kidney and wife n two sons, my husband n son. In the garage my sister with her husband n daughter n son lives.
My elder brother lives in Ireland with his family.
My third brother lives down the road with his family. But his here at our call. His neck n spine is 50/50 after he had bad fall, but he doesn't put himself first.
My mum and dad dream was for us to live together. That's what we doing in a four bedroom house were each family of three lives in a room. With kitchen and lounge which we share happily.
My 8 year old son and I watch Extreme Makeover every week. We love what you guys do.
I love where I live but it would be great to give my family something great to smile again.
Dad sickness is something we as a family have to except the worse at any moment. But we keep going cause his our strength.

If I had any other way to take care of this situation, I would. My husband is in his late 60s and is a proud Viet Nam vet. We live in a 2 bedroom home with less than 1000 square feet of living space. Our problem is my husband had to have an above the knee amputation in March 2015. Since that time, his necessary equipment has doubled. We do have an unfinished basement; however, we had to move the washer and dryer to the main level (in the spare bedroom) so that we both have access. Our home is so cluttered because there isn't enough space to accommodate everything. We had the shower updated a few years ago (before his amputation)and my husband is unable to get into the shower without a great deal of assistance. He takes dialysis 3 times a week also. I'm not sure where else to turn. Thank you.
Hello My name is Denethra Callis and I am requesting help for my Uncle Andrew Callis. He lives in Eddna, Tx in a family home. My uncle is disable and very sickly. The house is really old and I think may be one of the reasons why he is getting sick. He has found rats, raccoons and a snake in the house before. The structure is real bad and has holes somewhere. The wood is coming apart on the side and back of the house. There is no central air or heat. He has to use little heaters because a big heater will knock the power out so in the winter it is really cold. There is no gas in the house. This is a family home that we are scared to visit so when we do we stay outside on the porch. The restroom toilet he can't put tissue in also. Someone came out to fix the porch for him but that's it. We really need your help so he can have a clean and better living environment. Please help him or refer me to someone that can help him because we are afraid for him. He lives right on side of a pasture.
hello my name is amber evans my mother tamra leaf lives in chelsea ok she is 46 years old and has stage 3 lung cancer she has just recently begain chemo and her house is not fit for her health its a nice house but falling apart and she has no handicapped accessable bathrooms and the termites are taking over..we bug bomb on a daily basis and we cant do it anymore because of her chemo therapy.we live in her home which is a small 3 bedroom home where only one shower works and we have me my husband my mother my brother and my three children living here..i live here to take care of her and now im being checked for lupus and some other illnesses and my son has very bad asthma and this house is growing mold and the arobic system is messed up..i know this will probably never get to you personally but god bless you all for what you do for these families.

My 85 year old grandmother has had a very rough start to the year. First her garage caught fire then a few weeks later my 87 year old grandfather passed away. She is now struggling to get the house fixed up well enough that there are no wires hanging out of the wall and get the mold out of the house from the water damage that occured. My grandmother is the sweetest most caring and giving person I have ever met in my life. She would give you her last dollar so you could have what you needed and completely go without for herself. I am blessed with a great family. I am married with two beautiful children. My husband is a hard worker when he is physically able, however, he has had 7 major surgeries in 10 years. Currently he is five months into recovery from his surgery in December. We are living on my income alone and our house needs help. Our garage is going to cave in, we have walls in our bathroom that literally are falling down,our roof needs replacing, the wood around our windows are rotten, our house leans south, water comes into our basement via the walls and you can see outside through the trim in our upstairs just to name a few of the many problems. His doctor has told us he will have surgeries the rest of his life. We need help. We live in a great little community with awesome neighbors, a beautiful beach six blocks away from us and I know our small city would be thrilled for you to come! My sister passed away unexpectedly March 1, 2015 from community acquired pneumonia, overwhelming septic shock, hypoxia respitory failure and a few other things. Leaving behind an adult daughter and 3 underage boys. The youngest of the 3 decided to move with their dad but the other 2 wanted to stay at the last place their mother lived. So my parents made sure they did and took them into their house. Its been very hard for us all in losing my sister but for her kids its been much harder. My sister was a single mother working long hours to make sure the kids had everything they needed. The kids father was barely in the picture while my sister was alive and can't handle his middle son due to him having ADHD. My parents are in the middle of getting legal custody/guardianship of the 2 boys. Their father has signed all necessary paperwork for the lawyer. After myself and my 2 sisters graduated high school my parents did what little work on their house that they could afford turning a 3 bedroom with an office/bedroom house into a 2 bedroom with a office/bedroom house. My husband and I have helped as much as possible with the boys. My parents have been so strong since my sister has passed and fought for her boys so much that I just want to try to make one thing a little easier for them to live comfortable with them. Two teenage boys sharing a small room is not fun for anyone. My parents are hard working, loving parents and grandparents. I just want them to not have to worry about how to make it all work. They'd do anything to help anyone and I would like to help them one time for the millions of things they've done for myself and everyone else.

He has 2 sisters , his dad cheated on his mom and left them with one disability sister with spina bifida. They spend all there time and money on leti , in a wheel chair . His mother works 3 jobs always trying to support the family . there 8 months behind in rent and are in desperate need of there house being updated . There shower doesnt work because a pipe is broke in the wal and they dont have money to open up a wall find the problem and close it back up. so they use a bucket and fill it up and get a bowl to wash there bodys and i dont think anyone should be living like that but underthere conditions they arent in the right posstion to be updating there house . There mother sleeps on the couch she doesnt even have a bed . She wakes up at 5 am everymorning helping leti get to school , gettin her dressed and doing her makeup . Leti is 26 years old and her mother is 52 . He has another sister sara who is 19 constantly working to support his mother as well. My name is Tammy, I know you have heard a lot of stories from all around the USA, and mine is not all that different…My husband and I are parents of seven children….when we met I had two boys, he had one…both of us going through messy custody battles….sixteen years later plus four more children …smiles …we have a happy family. my oldest has Asperger's he is 21 now and is doing amazing..my oldest daughter fights depression but she is winning the battle. My middle daughter Kaitlyn is spirited and will one day be the reason I go grey…My youngest daughter Sarah is going to be a drama star…she lights up everyone's day. My youngest son Bruce Jr. is smart and I think he will make video games. My second oldest son Jacob is in the Army Reserves I think he still needs to grow up and find himself. My husband, Bruce does Boy Scouts with our youngest son Bruce Jr. he was the Cub Master of Pack 50 he spent a lot of time helping children in this town and he still does…even though we don't have money …we have opened our home to friends who needed a place to stay when they had no where else to go..my husband will lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it if he can… we have tried to live our lives by Gods word and we support our daughters in chorus ,Drama , dance ,sports and our son in anything that they have chosen to do…. it was seven years ago I became ill… I have Autonomic Neuropathy failure(my body can not regulate my blood pressure and I can not feel anything on my skin) , as well as fibromyalgia , chronic fatigue syndrome …chronic migraines….and several other disorders that cause me to have days where I can't walk…or I end up in the hospital for days, weeks or months…My Mother in Law lives next door and helps with the cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the children…as well as driving (I have not driven in seven years)us all to doctor appointments…My husband Bruce works an hour and a half away and he works side jobs on weekends to try to make ends meet…unfortunately the medical bills almost killed us …and we can barely pay our mortgage …so the house is falling apart…the ceilings are falling down in some areas where water damage happened ..the kitchen cabinets are falling apart ..the lower ones are detaching off the walls …the two bath rooms have broken tiles and the toilets don't work right there is a crack in the upstairs tub.. but its a solid floor to six feet…and to put a new one in you have to take out a wall..there is mold in the basement from it flooding so much….the upstairs has issues in every room …even with just four children at home we can not keep up with the maintenance…the walls have gouges…the carpet in one room has a burn hole in it from when my son was mad and threw the lamp on the carpet…lucky the smoke detector went off…the windows let breezes in when the are shut.. same with the doors….the outside of the house is rotting off…its cedar … we have tried replacing the boards but they just rot as well…we paint the house and the paint peels off….its a loosing battle and we need help …please help us…we don't usually ask for anything but I don't know where to turn
Hello. My name is Carma. I am writing you to see if you could help my family & myself. My husband is disabled and has been for 20yrs. I work in the health care field. We have 2 children. A son that was born 10 weeks early almost 11 yrs ago. My daughter just turned 8. My husband & I bought our property almost 3 yrs ago. It was a mess when we bought it. With his disablities he is unable to finish fixing our house. Plus it is hard to afford to fix things up the way we would like. I am an asthmatic real bad. My husband had a car accident in 1996 that broke his back, he had 38 staples in his left forearm from glass cutting his tendon and artery in half, and he has other health issues that stops him from being able to fix things around the house. Our house is trying to fall apart. We can see the ground under our house in numerous spots through out the house. It is so drafty in the winter. It is hard for us to heat the house. If you could help us out it would be wonderful. We would be soooooo greatful if our house was better for us to live in. It was suppose to be a 3 bedroom trailer house.But the 2 smaller rooms were turned into 1 big room. Our children share the room. We have a blanket separating their space. So please help us.
My husband and I struggled for 11 years to get pregnant. February 14 2012 I delivered our first son by Caesarian section. In January 2013 we adopted our 2nd son, in June of 2013 I found out I was pregnant!! I delivered our daughter march 5 of 2014! In Sept 2015 my husband lost his father and his mom is now living with us… Space is very tight and our home is not up to date and needs A lot of major work!! Our children have no play area… My husband works everyday!! But financially we just can't fix the house with just his income and him supporting 6 people… My mother in law is disabled and uses a walker and our house isn't handicap accessible… It worries me! Our electric needs fixed in numerous places and we can't afford an electrician, our kitchen is a disaster! We tried to remodel it and the guy didn't know what he was doing so it is just sitting the way it was left… We need help for our family to have a better accessible home for my mother in law and a play area for our children! My absolute best friend just lost her father at 41, he was an amazing guy, he left behind his wife and three children, unfortunately he had no life insurance or anything and their home needs renovation and they need a total new start after such a heart breaking situation, this would be an absolute blessing to their family to get this type of renewal in their lives. My name is Brandi. My husband Corey and I live in a small farm town named Hadley with our two beautiful toddler girls. My husband and I are young and trying to get a start with owning our home hasn't been easy. We started looking for our own home around 2012 when our first daughter was born. Renting wasn't what we wanted to do anymore. Our second daughter was born in 2014 and really kicked us into high gear in wanting our forever home. We wanted to have our OWN home to call OURS to raise our newly starting out family in. Trying to get financed to do just that wasn't working out for us. We ended up moving in with my husband's mom for a few months in hopes that this would be the right step forward to getting our own place. My husband's father during this time has been trying to sell his house in Hadley. Knowing that we so badly wanted our own home he afford to sell us the house. We love this house, we love this town, and we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel of our forever home. There are some major problems with this house that makes our light dimmer on being able to stay here forever. The oringinal house that was built is a quarter of the size of the house we are in now but still stands in front of our home. The smaller house is where our water is coming from for our house so the water preasure is terrible, the one corner of the foundation is falling into the ravene because whoever built this second house built it obviously too close to the ravene, and the back yard is completely uneven so our yard is a constant big mud puddle. You may be thinking why not just move into the smaller house? Well the smaller house is only a one bedroom home and it's completely filled with mold from the basement flooding and being so damp. There are several other things that need to be fixed. My husband and I are trying to do what we can but having the help from wonderful people like you would be a gift from God.

Hey! My name is MaKenna and I'm applying for my Mawmaw. She was diagnosed with colon cancer when I was a child and has been on disability since then, not able to work. She lives in a run down trailer that she's owned since my mom was born and has a fixer upper on her property just rotting away because she doesn't have the money to repair it. I fear for her safety every day because she is here alone in the country, and her health isn't all that well either. She deserves everything in the world because that is what she has given to us, and I would love to be apart of helping her get a new home. Me being in college I cannot afford to help her alone, but I know there has to be away I can get it done for her. I would like to nominate my Mother Gayle Wasser and my Step Father Todd Wasser for an extreme makeover! My parents live up in the mountains in Washougal Washington in a double wide mobile home that does not meet my mother's medical needs.
You see, my mother is only 65 years of age and is dying! She had a rough year in 2015. First being diagnosed with stage 4 COPD, then diagnosed with breast cancer, and also had a rupture of her intestine which turned septic and resulted in a surgery and in her having to wear a colastamy sack. Her medication has now caused diabetes as well! Thank the lord the cancer was removed and she is now cancer free, but she has been struggling with her COPD and is constantly having pneumonia which is now inhibiting her from having the second surgery to remove the colastamy sack. She is absolutely miserable and uncomfortable and now needs a wheelchair to move about. The concerns of the current home their in is that several home improvements need to be done to make her health needs improve.
The quality of air and dust are the main issue which makes it extremely difficult for her to breath, her bathroom is literally falling apart and she has a bathtub that is now duct taped due to the base having a hole inside. Since she is not able to take baths, a shower stall would accommodate her needs. In a nut shell, she is not able to live a good quality of life with the time she has left. My step father is an amazing man who has done nothing but love, care, and try his hardest to make their home livable for her needs, but literally doesn't have the time or help he needs as he is CONSTANTLY dealing with emergency trips to the hospital, helping my mother walk, bathing her, and administering all of her medications and health needs which leaves him absolutely exhausted! Not only to mention….he does this while working a full time job and is the only source of income since my mother was forced to retire early due to her medical diagnoses. They have no retirement or savings since all of their money has gone to pay the medical bills to take care of my mother.
They are deserving of your help because they have always been supportive of me and my sisters throuout our lives! My mother has the biggest heart and has always been the rock of our family by having an open door to her daughters and all of her grandkids! On several occasions, during hard times, my mother and step father have taken in their friends, grandkids and my sisters so they could get back on their feet! All of this while living inside a double wide trailer!!!She never says no to anyone!
Their property is approximately 6 acres and that they purchased almost 20 years ago with the intent to build their dream home. They havent been able to make their dreams come true due to helping out others, and also due to all of the medical costs for my mother.
I truly hope you consider them for extreme make over! My mother doesn't have much time left as her illness is quickly accelerating! I would love for her to have a better quality of life and for her to be as comfortable as possible! I would also love to make it easier for my Step Father to not have to worry about taking care of all of the issues in their current home.

Hello My name is Tonya my mother in law could really use the help…we really don't know where else to turn. Her husband passed away 2 years ago and she has been struggling to keep the house. Hi my name is Cynthia Copeland and I'm writing on the behalf of my father in law Michael Henning. On May 12th 2016 in a small town in Geronimo Oklahoma at 2:30 AM a storm ripped through the town with 90 mph winds and baseball sized hail. My father in law was sleeping in his bed when all of a sudden he heard what sounded like bricks slamming through his trailer home. He immediately dove under his mattress. Frightened when the walls were falling apart he ran through his hallway where he seen his livingroom was gone and debris flying everywhere. He ran into the only thing that was left standing which was his restroom. I received a call at 2:45 AM and it was my father in law in a panic saying his house was gone and he needed help and was stuck in the bathroom. By the grace of God that bathroom held up long enough. Mike suffered minor injuries despite the catastrophic damage that was done. Everything he owned was now rubble. All his hard work paying off his home and pickup were now lying on the ground in pieces and scattered all down the block. It was a miracle that he is still with us. Michael Henning is a single father of 3 boys and also the grandfather of 4 awesome grandkids. He started working at Red Lobster in 1988 and has had the same job since. He is 46 years old. We all love him very much and think he deserves a new beginning with the home of his dreams.
Hey everyone. I just have a quick question only because my grandparents really badly need a new house to live in but… We live in a subdivision with my grandparents. We live in a mobile home, so would we even be able to qualify? They really badly need a new place and we don't have the money to do it and both my grandparents are handicapped, my mom is out of a job and I am still in high school and can't drive yet.
Also, we live in a mobile home subdivision. I don't know if that would matter, but I hope it doesn't because my grandparents need a new house. This one is so bad, that when the inspector came through, she showed us what was wrong and it was horrible. The walls are made with some material that cause the copper wires to turn black and technically makes the house uninhabitable. I don't remember everything, but I just know they need a better house that is large enough for both of them with their walkers, and this one just isn't and it has mold. Would us living in a subdivision in a mobile home disqualify us?

My brother passed away going on two years, he lived with my mom, my mom started slowly falling ill, losing weight and becoming malnutrition, she drop to about 70 pounds, nurse told me to get hospice care cause she is dying. I said no, and moved her and my handicap dad with me 16 hours away to a two bedroom apartment. My mom started gaining weight she's now 84 pounds but both my dad and mom have too many health problems and wanted their own place, I told them they can't live alone so I found a house that has a basement, partially finished. I bought it and try my best with the Lil I have to make them a room down stairs, I'm missing the flooring and drop ceiling to make it look like a home for them. My upstairs deck is falling apart, I don't have a guest bathroom but need help with opening a wall to make two entrance for sthroom. My kitchen is so outdated and I think electrical is not enough power for thus house or not done properly, I need fenced on back so my mom or dad don't get hurt. I know house need help but those are my most important concerns. The driveway is so steep and has gravel which makes it difficult for my patents to walk with walker or canes. I want my parents to feel safe and be happy and have more years to live. Can you please help us?

Hi my name is Danielle. My parents house needs a makeover inside and out. The hardwood floors are old and need redone. The carpet is at least 15 years old if not older with tons of stains due to us 5 children growing up through the years. The bathroom floor is carpet that used to be white but is now black, it's also a real possibility that the floor will give out one day under the tub and go through and into the lower level of the home. The outside is falling apart slowly but surely as there is siding missing from the house. They've always wanted the back porch redone but have not and will not have the money to ever do it. The kitchen is extremely outdated and the walls and floor need major help. The panty/laundry room ceiling has turned brown due to the leaky tub above it and it starting to fall through. Also there is not really any room to get to the washer or dryer. The basement is unusable due to the broken stairs and it floods during rain. There is also a broken window in my sisters room that they can't afford to fix. Currently my dad is the only one working. They have 5 children including a 9 week old baby. They are trying to pay for my school and clothes and feed all 5 kids while paying all their bills. My parents do all they can to pay for things is children need and that leaves them no money to make repairs or do anything that makes them happy. Is really love to do this for my parents because they deserve it so much. It would be life changing for them. Please help!
Good evening, my name is Akissi Alphonse and I'm sharing with you my story about the house I grew up in. My great grandmother Ida Miller purchased this house and it has been in my family for a very long time. This house had always been immaculate before I was born, I've heard about all the great memories shared in this house and when I started noticing the difference, I started to get worried. My grandmother Maude miller-butts then took over the house of course and my mother stayed here as well, she actually grew up in the house, so she got to see it for decades before my sister and I were born. After my grandmother Maude passed away, my mother had a breakdown, without her grandmother and her mother, she had so much stress on her. I was young when grandma passed, and I really didn't know what or how to cope with my mother's condition. There would be times that I wanted to have sleepovers, and tea parties on the sun porch, and I couldn't because of all the junk lying around. Well, with this situation, I'm sure I should be writing hoarders, because that's what my mother became after the great grand and grand left her. And all she kept in there were memories that could no longer be salvaged. My coming up years were klvery depressing for me because I sometimes felt everything was my fault. Being young and not understanding why you can't ever have company, was very depressing for me, but I just wanted to stay by my Mother's side,so that she'd know I loved her regardless of the living arrangements. But as I got older, I loved her even more to tell her that she has a problem. Every time I would try and clean, she'd get angry with me. And it made my depression worsen. Now, I'm an adult with my own child, and he would never know what's it like going to grandma's house, because of the condition that it's in. I am now taking care of my mother and she's living with me and my son in a two bedroom apartment. It's not enough space for all of us to maneuver around hardly. And I couldn't let my mom live in that house alone and something happen to her. I would like for this now boarded up house to come to life again, so that we could recreate the memories to come, and so that this house can continue to be in my family. I'm actually taking a risk of letting her stay with us because she's not on my lease and I could get evicted. I'm willing to help rebuild a historic and memorable treasure for my family because my mom is not doing so well, and though I know she would be kinda upset that I went against her knowledge of knowing that I'm writing this letter to you all,but I am for sure she would be happy as she sees that I have made it possible for us all to be together again! I'm really hoping to hear back from you all, even if it's just with some advice on how to get the house fixed, I'm not working at the moment, but I'm trying to find a job just so that I can give my mother the best. My tears fall when the family see their new house for the first time specialy the kids. I am living in an informal settlement called Blikkiesdorp. Here the structures meaures 3square meters by 6square meters. Made of corrugated iron sheets. We are a family of 6. My wife and I have 3 children and I have a 4 year old girl who we are fostering. The chances of owning a home in Capetown is very slim. I am disabled and get a goverment grant. My wife is a domestic worker and earn very little. Life here is extremely hard but there is nothing one can do about it. I use to look forward to see the next episode of extreme home makeover then oneday while watching I looked at my kids. I saw the smiles and tears on their faces and realised I will never be able to give them a normal home much less the houses that you build. Hi my name is Cassie Warren. My mom and her husband just bought a piece of property with a house full of mold and tons and tons of work needing done to live in the house. Since the house is unliveable they have been living in a camper bus, a really old one that could use work itself mind you, due to not having the funds left after buying the property to fix the house. They are struggling with day to day living exspenses to even eat at times because they both are now working again due to health issues they both were not working at one point. My mom has to have emergency surgery for a colonscipy bag put in because she almost died with a whole the size of a grape fruit in her intestines. Her husband had already be off work for a work related injury of his shoulder and dark. With them both being out if work only getting a percent of their pay they became behind on bills and not to mention the continous occuring medical bills they both had/have. After several months my mom finally got to go back to work with the bag intact. She walked me down the aisle with bag she cried because she wasn't sure she would be able to find a dress to cover it let alone she could afford. So I went the search and found her some choices and bought them all. She looked beautiful in the one she chose. Months later the bag was able to be reversed Thank God. It took my mom's husband at least a year to find another job after being fired shortly after returning to work from his injury. So I guess what I'm trying to say is if their is anybody who deserves to get the house of her dreams is my mom. Shes never been able to call anything hers and now she has the property but doesn't really get to enjoy it the way she should because she worries about medical bills and what they are going to skip in paying this month so they can eat. My family and I recently bought a home that had caught on fire and we had plans to slowly fix it up. I had a good paying job when we bought the house and we were renting the place we lived in. It was under a week after we bought the house that needs a lot of work done to it to before it can be lived in. We lost the home we were renting due to me losing my job. My wife and I let our two oldest kids go to stay with their grandparents in Alabama. While there our son Ethan who is ten years old got sick the first week they were there then our daughter came in and said that Ethan was shaking real hard. My mother-in-law ran into his room and called an ambulance Ethan was having bad seizures all the way to the Children's Hospital, later after tests were ran on him the specialists came in and told us that Ethan had pneumonia and meningitis and that he was one very sick kid. He's been transferred to a larger Children's hospital because he had a bad alregic reaction to the medication that is strong enough to cure this the nfection is trapped between Ethan's brain and scull and we can't bring him home until our home is finished and Ethan will have seizures from now on. The Erbe's unfortunately lost their home to a fire this past week and have lost their home & all their personal belongings. This family is one of the hardest working families and is never looking for a hand out even though they live meagerly. The immediate family is the father, Larry (60ish) and his 2 daughters Louise (32ish) and Lauralee (38ish). Louise suffers acutely from an approx 200pound tumor and is limited in her health and mobility. Larry and Lauralee work full time to support themselves and Louise. This family is so kind and caring and always willing to help others although they do not look for others to help them. They lost their wife and mother about 2 years ago to a sudden health issue. Friends (the rabbit community) have raised enough money to purchase the family a travel trailer but it is not adequate long term. Unfortunately the family could not afford home insurance so it is a total loss although the home was extremely old and decrepit. The Erbe's have supported their community for many years through the 4-H program by supplying and mentoring youth through raising livestock and showing them. The Erbe's are very active showing and raising rabbits. All the farm animals survived the fire and the family must remain on the property to care for them. At the time of the fire, Louise was caring for a neighbors calf that was born and could not walk. They are forced helping others. Please consider this family for some help rebuilding their home and lives. This is such an odd situation, especially with Louise's medical condition. Thank you for considering this family. Hello, my name is Dot Hutchins and I live in a small town in Alabama called Guntersville. I am a grandmother of 2 wonderful children that I am raising, a boy 15 and a girl 11. There mother and fathers are not really in either of their lives and as they have gotten older I can see the sadness come out. Don't get me wrong they love me and happy to be with me, but what child doesn't have the desire to have parents that put them first.I lost my husband 3 years ago to a sudden heart attack and these children have been my rock to keep me going. Since his death it takes everything I make to pay bills and raise the children. Although my house is in decent shape there are many things that need repaired/replaced but I just have them to put on the back burner and do what I can. Please consider helping us out!!! She has been changing lives and helping others her whole life and would never ask for help. For years she has raised other people's children and always put herself last. She is recently retired and was a Chaplin in the Bridgeport prison system for over 25 years. During her time there she changed countless lives and saved so many people. She is a pastor at a church in New Haven where there aren't many Members but the doors are still open because she believes that every soul matters she dosent have much but she still shares with the community with a ministry based on love she feeds the family's in the community and provides them with dinners when she can. My mom passed away almost three years ago and her home has been vacant ever since because it needs so much work but my grandmother just can't afford to fix it right now between the needs of the church and trying to survive herself, my grandmother took me in to live with her but has been paying the mortgage on the home in hopes that she can one day fix it up enough for me to have a place to call home I honestly sometimes don't know how she manages everything she has to deal with in life but she does and she's the strongest woman I know. My sister Amanda and her boyfriend Bryan of eight years have been living in the basement of his fathers house since his father had a heart attack. They have four children ages 16, 4, 2, and 8 months. The house they live in is falling apart and is not safe for children. They want to repair it but there's too many things that need to be fixed and they don't make enough money. After the death of my dad, I found myself in a depressive state. Caring for a mom with failing health and children as a single mom, I wished for a miracle. I thought I found it in a pastor that I married, I quickly learned it wasn't a miracle, however a nightmare. Being in an abused marriage that ended in an attempt to murder me by arson, I sought shelter any place I could. My mom assisted in purchasing a rehab home, however being an unemployed mother of 4 with a disabled mom, sources to find income became scarce. With a notice to repair or vacate, I don't know what to do to repair my home. With some local grants making little repairs to make a ramp for my mother, the roof is falling in. After filing bankruptcy, my only vehicle was taken, I lost the part time job I had, and had to add another mouth to our home, my artistic brother. Life has made lemonade for us, however a home that will keep us close and safe would only add to the bond we're creating in the conditions we now have. I thank God for the blessings you have been to so many families with this show. If you find others more deserving of your gifts, I will rejoice for them because they need it more. My husband and I are in our thirties,we have two wonderful kids Jessica who is 5 and Justin 3. We dont have a Home for ourselves we are care takers in someones home,we cant afford a home. My husband is the only one working so it's hard to save to buy a piece of Land and build a home..The owners of the house we are living in will need there house soon and we dont even have the money to rent a house..My kids dont go to school because we cant afford it so I home school them and they are brilliant. I want so bad to do for kids what I never had but its hard because sometimes we just dont have the funds to do so. My daughter asked me for some toys the other day and I felt so sad when I couldn't buy them for her….I always wanted a home to call our own,maybe that will never happen but we will continue to pray to God to help let our dream come through..Extreme makeover God bless you and if you can help us make our dream come through you have no idea how much you would turn our lives around,we would appreciate it greatly..

My in laws home is in need of a make over, currently my father in law is dealing with alcohol addiction. My wife just recently brought him to treatment for the second time within a year and a half. So we are writing you to ask for your help in redoing his "man cave" (the basemant) everytime he goes and hides in the basement he slips right back into his addiction. I don't know if it's all the memories from my wife's first daughter who passed away in the house. The basement was going to be the nursery. Or other things, but the whole house is depressing and lonely. And it's hard bringing our two young daughters over just to visit. So I'm asking for a chance for you to come and help us bring life and love back into the house. We can't afford to makeover their house, My wife is a stay at home mom who handles our two daughters and our animals all day. I work but don't have alot of money availble after I get my bills paid. Please help.

Hello my name is melissa im an almost 26 yr old mother of three daughters and one soon to be stepdaughter. My middle child chelsie is turning 5 and on the autism spectrum. A yr ago she was diagnosed with autism and its been a bumpy road ever since. She does in home therapy through a program in our area. In 2014 she was rushed to the hospital because of an accident involving our hot wayer heater and out water temperature that burned her feet. She had to be rushed to milwaukee children's hospital for special care and have surgery on her feet and skin grafts she could not walk for weeks and required phsical therapy and an in home nurse. The house we live in now we are renring and its not safe when we first moved in everything was inspected and werent allowed to move in right away we had to wait three months til things were fixed up and before we lived here we were strugfling with being homeless. We have doors that dont lock properly and windows not in place correctly bexause everything is still being fixed two years later. She wanders outside and we live on a very busy road. Also recently my step daughter attempted to take her life and its bbeen very rough on us all. God bless exteme home makeover we dont have the credit to buy a home and a lot of places deny us due to background please give us a miracle!
Our house is small our sitting room once burnt so we needed a pillar to support the room which made it super small our backyard has a huge bush which limits our playing as kids and parents
