Nobody puts baby in the corner, but they are going to put her on an ABC special! That’s right, one of America’s favorite dance movies is being turned into a movie/mini-series and they are looking for extras to appear on it. “The Dirty Dancing” 3 part mini-series will air later this year. The special will star Debra Messing and Billy Dee Williams. Child film star (who is all grown up) Abigail Breslin is set to play Baby. This project is filming in the Asheville, North Carolina area and is only considering talent local to the area.

Casting directors are looking for extra, people with period cars and dancers for the show. Filming will take place in Asheville, NC and surrounding areas such as Hendersonville, Casheirs, Saluda etc. Anyone working as an Extra must be willing to work as a local in any area we are filming. The ABC special will be filming in April and May. If you would like to be an extra on the show, you need to submit current photos (cell phone photos will be accepted). They are seeking males and females of all ethnic backgrounds who are at least 18 years and older for filming. If you are an experienced dancer and would like to submit, adults of all ages will be considered however, they are especially in need those of College Age (20’s -30’s) with much experience and available multiple days thru out filming. These folks will also be portraying staff at lodge. Seeking ALL ethnic backgrounds for Dancers. Should be experienced in dance moves /styles as seen in original movie.
