Disney has announced they will be holding open casting calls around the country in search of actor’s for the newest installment to everyone’s favorite high school film, “High School Musical 4”! It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since we all fell in love with the teens. In the first contemporary musical comedy, a popular high school basketball star and a shy, academically gifted newcomer discover they share a secret passion for singing. When they sign up together to audition for the lead roles in the school musical, it threatens East High’s rigid social order and sends their peers into an uproar. The film thrust actors Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu into instant stardom!
It is being reported that casting director will be looking for singers, dancers and actors to appear in the film. You will need to showcase your skills (dancing and/or singing) so get practicing now because Open Casting Calls are reportedly going to happen this spring. Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer of Disney worldwide released a statement saying (about High School Musical) “It embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we’re excited to announce ‘the start of something new’ — as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth installment of the High School Musical franchise.” So it is official everyone! Not only will we get a High School Musical 4, casting directors for the film will be on the hunt looking for fresh talent to appear in the film.
Casting directors are looking for teens ages of all ethnicities ages 13–21. The casting notice reveals that “acting is the most important skill before singing or dancing ability. Chicago auditions are set to take place March 17th–19th. Other cities open calls have not yet been posted. Be sure to check back, we will share anymore casting information once it is released.
