Season 2 of the CMT TV show “Still the King” is now filming and there are two featured roles up for grabs! A new casting call is searching for a male and female model or actor for two roles in an upcoming episode. Still the King is shooting in Nashville, Tennessee so local actors are being sought. Casting directors are looking for a male to play a nightclub bouncer and a female who will be playing Shea Shea the Snake Lady. These roles will film on Monday, December 19th.
According to CMT, “Still The King features Billy Ray Cyrus as Vernon Brownmule, aka “Burnin’ Vernon,” a scandal-ridden, washed-up, one-hit-wonder who was kicked out of country music, only to emerge 20 years later as the second best Elvis impersonator around. After crashing into an old country church sign during a drunken bender, he is arrested and sentenced to return and serve as the church’s handyman as part of his parole. Along the way, he pretends to be the congregation’s new minister and reconnects with a former one-night-stand (Joey Lauren Adams), when he learns he has a 15-year-old daughter (Madison Iseman) he’s never met”. Still the King Casting Call
**FEATURED EXTRAS**:
NIGHTCLUB BOUNCER: male, all ethnicities, age range 21-40, 6’1″-6’6″, large stature, intimidating, bouncer type with some acting ability as you will be interacting directly with our female leads
SNAKE LADY (aka Shea Shea): female, all ethnicities, age range 18-44, interesting, eclectic, MUST be 100% comfortable and natural with a very large snake wrapped around your neck & shoulders (our Animal Wrangler will be providing the snake). Prefer those with snake handling experience or snake performance experience. (*this will be at a higher rate TBD)
We do not have call times yet but it will likely be very early (possibly as early as 4:30am) and you would need to be fully 100% available on work date (regardless of what the wrap time ends up being!). MUST be available all day!! You must have open/flexible availability if submitting so that you can work whatever the call times & wrap times end up being. If not, please do not submit!
Selected actors will be paid $64.00 for 8 hours with an 8 hour guarantee. Any hours worked over 8 hours will be paid time and one half.
