Want to be in a new movie with Oprah? Here is your chance! The mogul is starring and producing in the upcoming fact based feature film “Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks”. Variety describes the movie as telling the true story of Henrietta Lacks, an African-American woman whose cells were used to create the first immortal human cell line. Told through the eyes of her daughter, Deborah Lacks, played by Winfrey, the film chronicles her search to learn about the mother she never knew and to understand how the unauthorized harvesting of Lacks’ cancerous cells in 1951 led to unprecedented medical breakthroughs, changing countless lives and the face of medicine forever.
Casting TaylorMade is seeking older African American males and females who are ages sixty and up. They are seeking people with gray hair, weathered skin, who have an old southern charm / country feel. The movie will be filming in Atlanta, Georgia. The exact shoot dates are not yet set. They are only looking for new talent to Casting TaylorMade or if your look has changed to differently than what you previously looked like if you have submitted to them in the past. If you have already worked with them in the last year and you fit the role, they will reach out to you so you don’t need to submit again.
