There is a new series heading to Starz! “Sweetbitter” is based on the 2016 Stephanie Danler best-selling book. Season 1 is now filming and producers have put out a casting call for extras. Both SAG-AFTRA and non-union actors are being hired for roles in an upcoming scene. Casting directors are searching for extras to portray line cooks, prep cooks, butchers, dishwashers and pastry chefs! Models and actors of all ethnicities who are ages 20 through 50 are being considered. This is an incredible opportunity because you will be needed on a regular basis. If you have been looking for an acting casting call with no experience, this is for you! Filming will be from October 30th through December 22nd in New York City.
According to Deadline, “Sweetbitter follows 22-year-old Tess who, shortly after arriving in New York City, lands a job at a celebrated downtown restaurant. Swiftly introduced to the world of drugs, alcohol, love, lust, dive bars and fine dining, she learns to navigate the chaotically alluring yet punishing life she has stumbled upon. It is a story of a young woman’s coming of age, set against the rich and grimy backdrop of exclusive restaurants, evoking the possibility, beauty and fragility of being young and adrift.”

Seeking SAG-AFTRA and Non Union to portray kitchen staff (line cooks, prep cooks, butchers, dishwashers, pastry chefs), all ethnicities, 20s-50s age range, for new STARZ series Sweetbitter, based on the novel by Stephanie Danler.
