Want to be on Chicago Med? The hit NBC show that is in the family with Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. is now casting men and women to portray med students for the television series. NBC describes Chicago Med as an emotional thrill ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city’s newest state-of-the-art trauma center and into the lives of the courageous doctors, nurses and staff who hold it all together. The team will confront Chicago’s most critical medical cases and challenging ethical dilemmas with courage, compassion and state-of-the-art treatment. Inspired by ripped-from-the-headlines cases, “Chicago Med” will weave cutting-edge medicine with the personal drama that comes with working in such a high-intensity environment

The casting team is looking for local actors to the Chicago area. They will be shooting July 20th through the end of April 2017. They want to casting people to work as extras who have a flexible schedule who can work when they need the “med students” for each episode.  This is a great opportunity to be in a recurring role.  While it’s background work, its a great way to build a relationship with the cast and crew and you never know what could come of it, not to mention you will gain a ton of on set experience. 

If you have not worked as part of the medical people on “Chicago Med” and you are available to work when they need you to then send a recent color photograph with your height, weight, age, phone number, city and state to xtra1casting@gmail.com and put “Med student” in the subject line. No Headshots, No Selfies, No Comp Cards, No Pictures with Sunglasses or Hats. If you have any medical experience, be sure to include that as well.
