HBO’s TV Show “Silicon Valley” has a new casting call for background extras. The television audition notice is in need of men for a variety of roles. The series centers on six young men who found a startup company in Silicon Valley. Filming will be in Oakland, California on Tuesday, February 7th. HBO describes the series as taking place in the high-tech gold rush of modern Silicon Valley, the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success. Mike Judge (Office Space, Beavis & Butthead, King of the Hill) brings his irreverent brand of humor, and his own experiences working in Silicon Valley, to the award-winning comedy.
Beau Bonneau casting is searching for male actors and models who play basketball and have an athletic build. The HBO casting notice is in need of men ages 25 to 35. Background Actors are needed to portray Venture Capitalists, Techies, etc. who are playing a pick-up game of basketball.
They are seeking men in really good physical shape with lean, toned and muscular bodies that are comfortable playing basketball with their shirts off. Some of the background should be able to dunk and real experience playing basketball is essential (but no professionals).
Filming is expected to begin as early as 6am in the Oakland area, and everyone must be available for a full 8 hour shoot day. The SAG-AFTRA background rate is $162 for 8hrs. If you are not SAG then you must be able to receive a SAG Waiver (Taft Hartley). No Must Joins!
I-9 paperwork will be filled out on set. U.S. Citizens must present a current U.S. Passport OR two forms of ID: a valid Drivers License or State Photo ID card with either Social Security Card or Birth Certificate. Non U.S. citizens must present current Green Card, Permanent Resident Card or Dept. of Homeland Security Work Authorization card.

In the body of your email state your phone number, SAG ID number/ or number of SAG Waivers to date (if any), your height, weight, age range, description of your basketball experience, if you can dunk and two current photos that are shoulders up and a full body shot with your shirt off. If you are selected you will be contacted by the casting director, do not call their office.
