Over the past few years Disney superstar Selena Gomez has branched out from her iconic role of Wizards of Waverly Place’s Alex Russo with outstanding turns in the dramas Spring Breakers and The Getaway and now she has lined up her most promising project yet. The drama feature The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving is rolling in front of cameras and auditions for roles of all sizes in this adaptation of Jonathan Evison’s widely acclaimed novel are being held now. The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving tells the heartwarming story of Ben,
a middle-aged man at a crossroads in his life who decides to take classes to become a home healthcare giver and winds up on a road trip with his 17 year old client Trevor that will change them both forever. Ms. Gomez will star as Dot, a clever and brutally honest young hitchhiker who the boys pick up on their journey alongside Paul Rudd (Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, Prince Avalanche, Wanderlust), Craig Roberts (Jane Eyre, Being Human, The Double), Megan Ferguson (Hart of Dixie, Mad, Men, The League) and Julia Denton (Devil’s Due, Who Stole the Electric Car?, Necessary Roughness). The film is written and directed by the legendary longtime executive producer for Late Night With David Letterman, Rob Burnett.
