Academy Award winner Nicholas Cage is directing and starring in the upcoming feature film “Vengeance: A Love Story”. Nicholas Cage has been striking the big screen bringing us a range of movies for over 30 years! Since his big debut in 1982’s iconic film “Fast Times at Ridgemont High” he has taken his Face Off, been a Ghost Rider, been Trapped in Paradise, flown on Con Air, drove so fast he was Gone in Sixty Seconds and found a National Treasure and that doesn’t even touch the amount of films the actor has been in (over 80).
He is the nephew of famed director Francis Ford Coppola (he directed those Godfather Films). Now Cage is directing his second film (in 2002 he directed Sonny that starred James Franco) This film, “Vengeance: A Love Story” is said to be an adaptation of a novella that was written by Joyce Carol Oates. The screenplay was written by John Mankiewicz. The book is said to be about a mother recovering from a brutal gang rape is stalked by the perpetrators but is protected by a sympathetic cop. The film will portray a gulf war veteran who seeks vengeance against those who assaulted a single mother.
