One of television‘s favorite funny (and exquisitely beautiful) ladies is teaming up with one of the world’s biggest action stars for a new big screen adventure and a host of new audition opportunities will soon be available for aspiring actors everywhere Heat starring Sofia Vergara and Jason Statham is set to roll in front of cameras shortly and is sure to be one of the years biggest action productions This could be the chance for many outstanding up and coming performers to audition for an exciting big budget Hollywood movie that will be seen by millions of viewers around the globe.
Heat is a reimagining of the 1986 film of the same title starring Academy Award nominee Burt Reynolds that will feature action film icon Statham (The Transporter, The Italian Job, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) as an ex soldier of fortune who has taken up in Las Vegas working as a bodyguard and trying to make enough money to finally leave the city and his current lifestyle. When his female friend is savagely beaten by a high roller with many criminal connections, Statham is brought further into the dark corners of “Sin City” and further away from his exit. Ms. Vergara (Screen Actors Guild Award Winner for Modern Family, New Year’s Eve, The Smurfs) has signed on to play the female lead in this sure to be classic alongside a growing supporting cast that includes Michael Angarano (Sky High, Lords Of Dogtown, Seabiscuit) and Dominik García-Lorido (Magic City, City Island, Steal Big Steal Little). Heat will be directed by action virtuoso Simon West (The Expendables 2, Con Air, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider) from a crackling script from two time Academy Award Winner William Goldman (The Princess Bride, Marathon Man, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid).
