  3. Hi this is Virginia Lawrence again just wanted to say if you need to contact me. Also I meant to put in my letter my kids ages which are I have my youngest daughter Jordin is 9 years old, next is my son Anthony who is 13 Years old, next is my daughter Alexis who just turned 18. And my nephew Isiah who is 16 years old they are all wonderful kids. Please help me.

  4. Hi my name is Virginia Lawrence I live at 51 Lobelia Ave in browns Mills NJ. 08015. My finance' s name is Jeremiah Kessler. We have 3 amazing children and a amazing nephew that lives with us. My finance and I both work but, we do not make a lot of money at our jobs. All of his money goes to our utilities for our home like gas, electric, and water bil and he pays for our car insurance so we can get back and forth to work. All of my money goes to our mortgage payment which is 994.18 a month and I buy groceries and we both support our kids
on anything they need. We are a low income family that barely makes ends meat. We need a lot of home repairs done on our home. Especially our roof. Our roof is so bad that when it rains it leaks inside our home. We need a whole new roof, but we can not afford to fix any home repairs Especially our roof. Our roof is the worst. We have had roof contractor come out here, but they all say the same thing its gonna cost us between 18'000 to20'000 for a new roof. We don't have that kind of money we barely make it now. We have tried to get assistance through programs but nobody wants to help us. My fiancé and I work so hard to support our children and make sure they have a roof over their head. But it breaks our heart because we can not afford to fix our house up so they can live in a nice home. My children are great kids and they deserve to live in a nice home. I just don't know what to do I really need a new roof so I am asking can you please help us with fixing my home so my children can have a real home thank you. I would appreciate it so much. Sincerely Virginia Lawrence

  5. Hey,
My names Treavor Randall. I live in Mobile, AL and was wondering… would yall remake our home. I have two younger brothers, Troy and Tyler. I have my mother staying with me too. She is 49 and I'm doing my best to keep her going. Our bills are off the roof. Power, water and gas bills are higher than my social security check, which is the only thing we can depend on, other than me getting my foodstamps of only $35. The floors in our house are starting to get lumps in them, cuz their made of wood, from an almost busted water pipe under the middle of the house. Two maybe three, idk, windows have been busted and we don't have the money to set aside to get it fixed. My moms room has a hole in the roof right above her bed, oh and her names Tammy. We still have power going through the house for sum reason! I've wanted y'all to come to our house to help us out, I've seen your show and am impressed with all the people you helped. If you could come here and help us out, I would surely appreciate it. Oh and one last thing, this house was owned by great grandma Edwina Busby. If you do decide to come here, there's only one thing I would want from this house and this is the concrete step on the back porch where the wind from hurricane Katrina ripped it right off. The step has my great grandfathers name and that's all that I would want. I seriously am doing this for the best reason, my mom. So, if y'all decide to come out here and help us out I would truly appreciate it,
    Sincerely,
    Treavor Randall

  6. Hi, I'm Trellis Johnson and I'm asking for help on my Mother Home, which was cause by a fire 11/22/2016 and she passed on 11/27/2016 due to smoke inhalation. We weren't able to stay in the house because of the Smoke. Our Family was placed in a hotel for a little while. Now we're in a Apartment trying to do the best we can to see if we'll be able to restore the Home, we need major help. Mom helped so much in the Community. Even took in homeless people with their kids until they got a place. Didn't matter what color you were she just had a Heart ❤️ of care!!! That's what happened when the fire started by someone she was helping out accidentally lite a candle, downstairs and she was upstairs in her Bedroom, and couldn't get out. We used to watch the program every week, and just cry with the other Family whom seems to be so Blessed. I've asked God questions on what, and how to handle things that he knows about more than I. So one day I was just watching JASON show on TV and he said that TLC Shows were coming back. I said Lord I pray this is a sign for help. Please concider my Family we need you all desperately. Sincerely yours, Trellis

  7. Hi, my name is Lauren. I live in a small community called Luminary on the top of Dayton mountain in Bledsoe county. my family and I moved here from Texas when I was in the sixth grade. A few months after we moved here our home burned to the ground. We lost everything except for the clothes on our backs and our car. Luckily my aunt and her husband at the time took us in. And several people from the community brought us blankets and warm clothes. I've had a dream to start a clothing and food pantry for those in need in my community. But sadly neither me nor my family have the funding to do so as we are way below the poverty line. After bills, food, and household needs we have around $15 for all other needs. The person who suffers most from our low income is my amazing mom. It has been several years since she has had proper winter clothing, or even good shoes. She sacrifices so much for us, putting our needs first before she even thinks about doing anything for herself. She deals with so much… taking care of my bed bound uncle, mentality and physically disabled husband, sickly son, and mentally disabled me. We live on a rundown piece of land with two leaky roofed rundown trailers and a horror movie looking storage house. We are living in very poor conditions and have no way of helping the situation. If you would like to hear more of a back story and witness our situation, I would love to receive an email from you and set up a time to meet. Thank you for your time.

  9. Hi, my name is Christy Utter.
I'm currently living at my father's house, I help take care of the home because he is sick a lot lately and doctors don't even know what's wrong with him. His home needs a lot of work done to it and i mean a lot of work. But it's not just me that is living with him it is my 3 children as well. I have 2 daughters and a son, Emma is 9 soon to be 10 next month, CarrieAnne is 7 and cayden is 3 soon to be 4 in November. But there is 3 more children that live here as well that iam is taking care of for a friend of mine for a little while. My father is also a retired vet who surved in the Korean war. He also has spinobiffia. The house we are all in is a 14 x 70 3 bed 2 bath Trailer and it seems like every time we turn around something is wrong with the house or my father's vehicle. We are all struggling so bad and it's getting to where i don't even know what to do any more to make things better for all of us because of all the repairs that need to be done. So as I've been typing this all I've been doing is crying and praying that you will answer my prayers for help. I would love to here back from you and it get a surprise visit from you as well. Thank you for your time. God bless you all. ❤

  10. Oak Grove is a home that was originally build in late 1700's. It was in existence during the civil war. It's a very warm looking plantation house with warm loving owners. The owners that live in this home are so warm hearted and kind. When you meet them, You can feel the love they have for each other and you can see it in their children & grandchildren. They have a old fashion down home unconditional love for everyone. Their sweet manners and down home caring nature are noticed the first second you meet them. They have always been hard working and had a tight knit closeness to the community. The house has as much personality as the owners. It has a southern whimsical charm that draws you to want to go knock on the door and ask to have a tour. If walls could speak, a wonderful education of history, life, love, and survival would be your award.
I Heard today the family has request to have some assistance from my husband in helping to renovate the old kitchen. He has agreed to do so. After learning what they want to do it made me think to look into applying for assistance from your wonderful group of people.
I also want to give alittle personal information on this delightful family.
A little while ago Nancy the home owner and Her husband Mickey had received some scary news. Nancy has Cancer and has been fighting for a normal life to start back so she can be the hardworking loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend she has always been. The road of treatments has been very emotional and painful for her. Even though she has had a hardship, She just keeps pushing forward. Now currently she received the hardest blow to her heart and soul. Mickey had to go to the emergency room last week and thought he was having a heart attack. As it turns out he has Cancer as well. He is very strong and would never frown to anyone. He is always positive and sticky sweet. He wants to do everything for everyone.
They have decided to get some of the home remodeled so their daughter her husband and two twin granddaughters can move in with them and share the home for probably many reasons. I believe in miracles and I'm awaiting to tell the success store of newly built and designed kitchen for this family. When a group of people work together for one quest, And add in love with determination ( A dream will become a reality)
Please help me help Nancy & Mickey have the Oak Grove Kitchen they deserve. I can already picture the family having warm meals and smiles together.
Thank you for your time and Thank you for helping so many people.
You must feel like Gardians of Love Peace and Joy.
    Ann McCloud

  11. We are 4 families living in antique old hotel. Only place big enough for our 4 families. We r currently renting but do to our credit and debt to income being not good. We are unable to buy it. We would like to buy it then rennovate it, to look like it did in the early 1900's, on the outside. In side fit it to match our needs.

  12. Greetings. My story takes us back to childhood roots.
My parents dream began in the 50’s. Dad was on weekend leave from the Airforce and met mom. 2 ½ weeks later they married and their story began. A healthy son was born the next year and soon after, a daughter. This time, mom suffered from Toxemia and when they tried to induce labor, my sisters heart stopped beating. Upon delivery, she was soon diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. 9 years later, another daughter (me) made a final appearance to round out the Bailey household.
Over the course of 50 years, our parents worked hard to ensure us 3 children had a place to gather for future generations. This dream came to fruition when they bought their dream home in the 60”s in an extremely rural Paulding County, Ga. It was a beautiful brick home on 4.5 acres and included a pond.
Over many years, the house was maintained, and Dad built a large in ground pool for all to enjoy. This homestead entertained not only us children, but spouses, grandchildren, and many friends. Because of this, our minds are flooded with memories that will never be forgotten.
10 years ago, my dad passed way after a long battle with recurring Cancer. Through it all, my mom nursed and tended his every need. In the end, my dad died peacefully in this home with my mother by his side.
However, with my mom approaching 80 and battling COPD, she is now dependent on oxygen. In March, mom passed out, fell, and hit her head on her oxygen machine. Upon laying on the floor for hours, police were finally summoned by a sibling, and they had to break into moms house in order to transport her by ambulance. It was a slow recovery. After a week in the hospital, she came to stay with me for a couple weeks, but being the trooper she is, my mom rocked physical therapy every day in order to gain her strength back and once again became independent.
Summer, however, proved to be overwhelming as my parents had never installed central heating and air conditioning. We now know mom cannot take another Summer or Winter without central heat and air, and frankly, mom feels at this point, she is not comfortable living alone.
After debating for months on the right avenue, I have finally decided, it would be most beneficial, if I move back into the home with mom, take out a 100K rehab loan and completely renovate the place. It will be quite the undertaking and one that overwhelms me greatly. I would love to work with your team and help make this process easier on our minds and hearts.
If you are interested in our story, we would love to meet with you and discuss.

Thanks so much for listening to our story,
    Cathy Ellison

  15. Hi I am writing you to please help us renovate my husbands family home. His father passed away almost 2 years ago and his mother 1 month ago. We have inherited 1/2 of his parents home. We have never owned a house before. I am almost 60. We would love to keep this house that was in my husbands family for 80+ years. My husband wants to buy out his brother but we can't afford to do that and also renovate the home. It would be a forty year dream come true. My husband's back gave out on us about 3 years after we met and we never really had a chance to buy a home. He had to be go back to school to be retrained in something his back would allow him to do. Now we have an opportunity to make it happen.

  16. Tiffany Del Rosario here, a solo-parent from Makati City, Philippines. I was abandoned by my foreigner husband 13 years ago. Left with piles of debts to pay and making ends meet to take care of my teen age son. My last blow was my condominium unit was infested by termites. It was never renovated since the day I moved in 17 years ago. Now very old and falling apart, I am desperately seeking help. My prayers and high hope that you would consider to help me. Thank you so much.

  17. Hello,
My name is Amie MCCANE and I am a wife and mother. Last March me and my husband lost the house we were renting, and currently staying with family. We have a one year old and I am currently 20 weeks pregnant with our second. It is getting harder to live with family since ours is growing. Family that owns the property made a deal with us that if we move a trailer, that they want out of their way, to another part of the property we can do whatever we want to it and stay as long as we need. Sounds great but in reality my husband has been having bad luck when it comes to jobs from getting laid off, no hours, to even getting cheated out of several hundred dollars. And adding up coast from sewer, serves, set up ECT. This seems impossible. I just ask if y'all can help us move and set up our trailer. The new baby will be here in January and between time and money everything is running out except my hope that yall might could help us be able to have a place to bring our baby home to and to be a family.
    Yours truly
    Amie McCane

CAN YOU PLEASE SAve our House. 🏠

  20. Hello. I'm hoping you see my comment and that I can describe to you exactly how I feel, which is hopeless. My home is in need of repairing, such as my kitchen cabinets are falling apart. I've painted over them but the drawers especially just keep coming apart. I've glued , but they are really old. My bathroom is the size of a small square closet. It is very unsafe when my oldest son has meltdowns. The toilet rocks and we spent all our saving when we first moved in because the pipes were messed up and other small repairs and mold damage near our washer and dryer. Some outlets do not work and there is some water damage and old ceiling fans. We are unable to replace and fix them. My oldest child (6) has autism and I have an 8 month old. I'm struggling to find time to do anything or afford anything. I've had to cut my hours at work because of major life changes. I had a new baby this year, my father passed away, and my brother and mother were in a major car accident and can not help as much as they use to. My mother is also disabled and my son is 70lbs, non verbal with aggression. I'm constantly struggling to clean or fix up small repairs around the house. I feel so hopeless and desperate. We can't keep our yards maintained because my husband works a lot just to make ends meet.

  21. My name is Rosemarie Fair. When I was younger I was in the system. My mother would choose to spend time with the bottle before she would spend time with me. I was born legally dead. I ended up having a lot of medical problems. I am waiting on the decision in regards to my SSI. I have a lot of animals and cannot afford for me and my fiancee to be on the streets with animals as it is getting cold. I am a current college student pursuing my bachelors degree in business administration. I am struggling with my math class but I am doing what I can. My fiancee and I are about to lose the house that was his dads when he was alive. We need help. The trailer has some things that need fixed but we cannot afford to fix them. We live in Mt Sterling Kentucky and are wondering if you could help us out with a new place to live. We moved to Kentucky after his dad died and my step mom died. The reason that we moved is because his mom's house in Erie Pennsylvania was condemned by code enforcement as the wiring was faulty and the furnace was bad. There was no sink in the bathroom. The walls were not even finished being put up and there was several holes throughout the house. Also the house had black mold and the ceiliing leaked. We moved in with his brother and now all of us are about to lose the trailer that we live in. I need to have one room that I can use as my classroom that is sound proof as we have animals and I cannot afford to have any distractions. I do all of my schooling online and need to be able to focus on doing my schoolwork and I need to make sure that I am able to pass my schooling. I have way too many medical problems for a 34 year old. I have been doing all of my schooling on a tablet and smart phone as my laptop has a broken screen. I would love to be able to help animals and children but am unable to do so in a trailer. My fiancee and I have been together for 3 years now and the whole time that we have been together we have never had a place of our own as we have lived with people the whole time as we cannot afford to buy our own house. We would love to have a place that we can call our own. I would like to do bake sales and basket sales from the comforts of my own home and where we live we cannot do that. I have watched your show before and that is why I am asking you if you can help us out. I am the type of person who likes to help people out if I am able to. We have also been wanting to get my daughter in our custody but cannot do so in the living situation that we are in and have been in. So can you please contact me at my email address or via private messenger on facebook to let me know if you can help. My facebook page is under Rosemrie Jean Fair.

  22. If I could give my mom the world, I would, I just to want to surprise her with something so memorable that she would be able to cherish this moment for the rest of her life.

Greetings Ellen, first off, I absolutely love your show as well as appreciate everything that you do for the community. My name is Harold, I am 27 years old & live in upper marlboro MD. I am reaching out to you because my best friend, and I are trying to surprise my mom by giving her an extreme makeover for her home. My mother is absolutely amazing, caring, strong-willed and a fighter. She is a single hardworking mother with a daughter/ my sister who is bed written with a feeding tube and tracheostomy. My mom truly at no time gets a break once she gets off work .She has to be home to relieve our nurses by rpm everyday. Last year my mom slip and fell at work and broke her foot, which never fully healed. Lately she is always in constant pain but somehow finds a way to remain positive at all times. My mom is unable to move the same nor walk the identical and if it rains, she is in Dyer pain. I notice that when she gets off work, she comes home and is always exhausted, I can tell she is extremely stressed but still finds a way to remain happy. She has sacrificed so much for my sister and I & I believe this opportunity would mean the absolute world to her. The entire home needs to be re-decorated and a few renovations in the bathrooms as well as my sisters room. I hope this letter finds you well Ellen, and I hope to hear from you soon.

I just want to be able to give my mom at least a piece of the world back the same way she gave it to us.

    Yours Truly,
    Harold

  24. Hi, my name is Liz. There's this beautiful woman with a huge heart of gold. She has raised five of her own children on her own, and then some including my son and I. Her son Robert just recently passed away unexpectedly, leaving her on her own. He faced many struggles in life from mental illness, and she stood by him everyday for 53 years. She has always given to the less fortunate, although she herself doesn't have much. She has never expected anything in return. Her home is coming apart at the seams. The roof is starting to bow and the walls are coming apart. She is an angel to everyone who she comes across. She deserves so much more then we could ever repay her. Please help my grandmother.

  25. Hi, my name is Sheryl. I am currently a guest service representative/dual rate supervisor for a casino and my husband is a school bus driver. We are currently living with his mother in a little 2 bedroom house, on a contract for deed. We have struggle most our lives but the last 8 years have been rough due to my husband going through 2 surgeries for his heart (1 being a double bypass surgery). We live paycheck to paycheck and often find that every little bit we manage to save, goes to help our children in time of need, and on the animals we currently have staying with us. Our contract for deed was due to expire 2 years after moving into the house and luckily we are still currently on the same contract for deed. We were told we needed to apply for a mortgage but due to working on credit repairs, we are still unable to apply for a mortgage. We have much repairs needed to the house and the outside buildings, but they exceed any limitations we could even cover. In the past 18 months we have had our granddaughter here 3/4 of the time, taking care of her. She is currently sleeping in her pack and play at the bottom of our bed but will soon need to be in a toddler bed. We have, maybe if you're lucky, a 1 foot wide path around the bed/pack and play to enter/exit and move around the room. Also, a few times we had our boys move back in with us and had to give them a space to sleep in the basement which is covered in black mold. We ended up taking this little 2 bedroom house due to what we could financially afford at the time, not realizing all the expenses that came with it, along with having the granddaughter here most of the time. Between medical bills for my husband and our animals, we end up cutting ourselves short no matter what the circumstances. We have always been there to help others, in their time of need, asking nothing in return. But as time passes, we find ourselves dealing with things we cannot control nor afford to fix. Within the first 2 years of moving in, we had to replace our whole septic system, parts on our furnace, several sub pumps in the basement, and the water heater. I usually do not do this kind of thing, but at times I feel I am desperate and need help more now then ever before. I am not the type of person to ask for anything nor beg for anything, and my pride always gets in the way. Please take the time to read and considered helping a family in need. Thank you so much, Sheryl.

  26. My name is Katie I lost my husband in April of this year and we were both on disability we both tried to do things ourselves but with the pain and money problems we never got the inside of the house done we did manage to get the outside done. Now that Michael passed away I'll never be able to get the inside done, in need help this was our dream home and for me it still is.Need your help. Thanks Katie

  27. Hi, my name is Sheryl Lathrop. My husband Brian, his mother Peggy and myself live in a little 2 bedroom home on a 40 acre farm. We have lived here for 5 years now on a contract for deed with terms we were to get a mortgage finance done after 2 years, but we are working on building up our credit the past few years. The house is in need of many repairs, along with all the buildings on the outside (including a barn) but even with the 3 of us working, we are just getting by financially. We also have 2 children over the age of 18 who end up at times moving back in and sleeping in the basement, which is covered in mold due to water leakage with all the rain we have gotten this summer. In the past year, Brian and I, have had our 1 year old granddaughter here a majority of the time. When she is here we have her sleeping in her pack and play at the bottom of our bed, and we have maybe a little path to walk around to enter and leave the room. We try to do things as we have a little extra cash, but that is nothing but a rare occasion the past few months. We give all our extra time and cash to help the grown children out when they are in need or have unforeseen circumstances occur. We really would like to make improvements to the size of the living arrangements but can not do anything about it at this time. We have 7 dogs and 3 cats that ended up in our custody, that nobody else wanted and we would not let them be left on the side of the road. I usually do not ask for anything or expect anything, but sometimes living in these tough times really can be depressing and exhausting at the same time. Having a better and bigger house would be my dream come true for my family. Thank you so much for listening. Sheryl

  29. Hello! My partner and I live in a one bedroom condo. We have switched careers in our 40's to help animals in need. We do not and cannot have kids unfortunately do to my history with cancer. We are currently looking for a place to help animals that require rehabilitation to find a forever home and in the meantime spend our evenings catching homeless, abandoned and feral animals to socialize, vet them and attempt to make them suitable for domestic life. This is difficult, expensive and time consuming but also rewarding. We lack organization and efficient space to holdover for rescue pickup. We spend all our time, energy and resources on food , supplies and vetting. Our goal would be to have efficient, effective and workable space in our home to accomplish these tasks. Due to our limitations, we cannot help as much as we'd like to. We could really use expert help and opinion to improve our current situation. It's a large space that just could use a fresh set of eyes and ideas. We do not require construction but maybe some really cool ideas and a total refresh!

  33. Hello,
My name is Nicola Young. I live in marietta,Ga., with my family. I am married. My husband name is Damian Lowery, we have five outstanding children, one girl, four boys. Ages, 17 teen, 15 teen, 14 teen, 10 and 2! We also have a dog. I am currently going back to college, love helping others, and giving back. So I have an desire to get my degree as a nurse. My husband is the only one working at this moment for this to happen. We have a long unbelievable life story together. We were both raised in California, that is where we met. We have always dreamed of owning a home one day, and in about thirty days this dream is about to turn into a reality! Very exciting, because this is happening, and our oldest daughter is preparing for college. The home itself is very beautiful to us, but there are repairs that need to be done, that I am not sure we will be able to handle, also an unfinished basement that we would love to turn into a children cave/ family room. With so much going on in our lives, football, track, lacrosse, training, work and school. With only one income at the moment we our unsure we will be able to complete the home repairs and the basement. Yes, our dream of owning a home will be wonderful, it would just also be nice for a moment in life to be able to have an home where our children would be excited to invite and entertain there friends, and a place where they love being. We have been through a whole lot these nineteen years together, we have over came a lot of tough life challenges, we have had no place to go at times. But we always pushed forward, and made sure our babies where the number one priority. Schools, friends, family, and strangers, always have great things to say about them. They stay out of trouble, they are very talented, they choose to be around others who are wanting to uplift themselves and others. We are very excited and would love to do something very special for our children. I would also want to do something very special for my husband, I believe he deserves it 100 percent. We are always saying what we would do if we were ever given an opportunity. If you read this far, and we are not ones that were picked. I would like to just thank you for having the time to read my post. Would love for you to come out to meet us, and our very first home that we are purchasing!!!
    Thanks, Nicola

  34. I know this isn't the way you guys do this but I came across this article and thought that maybe it would be great if they could get a home makeover. I know it's not normal that you would do it for someone renting, but this Woman a mother of six could really use the help. Please help her and her kids.

The mother who became a viral celebrity after smacking her son for participating in the Baltimore riots is in the news again after she lost her home to a fire.

Toya Graham, a single mother of six, found herself homeless after her 17-year-old son Michael set the house ablaze when frying chicken tenders.

"I had stepped away to the bathroom real quick," Michael told WBFF. "When I got back, there was smoke and fire coming from the pan."

He tried to throw water onto the grease fire, but that only made things worse. Although nobody was harmed in the incident, the damage has made the home inhabitable. Graham does not have renter's insurance.

Graham and Michael are probably best known for their public altercation that was caught on camera during the Baltimore riots in April 2015. When Graham found Michael on the streets, wearing a mask and rioting, she immediately took matters into her own hands. CNN reports she stormed up to her son, smacked him in the head and screamed at him.

"That's my only son and at the end of the day I don't want him to be a Freddie Gray," she said, referring to the man who had died while in police custody, according to CNN. "I was angry. I was shocked, because you never want to see your child out there doing that."

Her actions went viral and received a host of praise. Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts even thanked her, saying more parents should take after her example.

"And if you saw in one scene you had one mother who grabbed their child who had a hood on his head and she started smacking him on the head because she was so embarrassed," he said. "I wish I had more parents that took charge of their kids out there tonight."

WBFF reports that numerous people have reached out to offer donations to the Graham family after the loss of their home. There is also a GoFundMe page for those interested in donating. By Aug. 17, it had far exceeded its $5,000 goal, raising more than $30,000.

"I'm tired of the struggle, I feel broken," she said. "You try to hold on because you try to do everything, you try to be strong for your children. You try, but this is a lot."

    1. You need to submit this story for REAL!!! That woman is hero in my eyes!! Too many parents turn a blind eye in today's society and she absolutely did not! Lol

  38. I would like to take the time to express how i appreciate all that you guys do!! My grandma is in need of something! Her house is full of mold, she can barely breathe in there. She had to rip up all the carpets and she's walking on hard wood floors. She can't even shower in there because her sewer is completely backed up in the basement. I let her come over and shower, but she won't stay with me because she refuses to leave her dogs! My grandma died a few years ago and they do not have any money. Im at a lost right now because her breathing problems are getting worse everyday.. she has tarps on the top of her house to try to keep it from leaking when it storms but they just are not doing the job anymore! I would love to keep my grandma around alot longer than just a few more years because that house is going to end up killing her from the mold! Please take the time to acknowledge this please she does so much for everyone else and it's her turn to get what she deserves. All she needs is one bedroom it's just her.

  43. Hello my name is gabby, this story im about to tell you is about my parents. My parents have grown up as kids together, and have been together since they were sixteen. Since then they had lived in Ontario CA. And raised three kids, My older brother, my older sister, and the youngest me. We lived next door to my grandparents from my fathers side since my brother was young, which was almost 30 years ago. In 2006 everything changed my mom and dad decided to move us to Utah to give us a better chance in life. At that time i was 12. We all lived together. We grew up all got married, had children of our own. Moved away moved back home. My sister is the only one who currently doesnt live at my oarents house. My parents have supported us through many things and even though grown up and married have provided for our families when we couldn't. Now 11 years later we received a phone call at the beginning of the year that my eighty year old grandfather from my dad had another heart attack, recovered but was very weak. My grandma is eighty two and cant do as much as she used to be able to and has health problems of her own. In May my parents decided they were going to leave to be with my grandparents. They took nothing but their cars and clothes being the selfless loving people they are, they didn't know how things would work out but they went anyways leaving a lot behind, their house, three kids, six grandkids under the age of eight, friends, and their jobs. Soon after the move my grandfather was diagnosed with dementia, my parents are working hard to make ends meet. My brother and I along with our families took over the house payment of my parents 3400 squarefoot house since we were living there. And my parents live with my grandparents in their 1300 square foot home. Its tiny and a tight fit for the four of them. Im writing this because my parents have given so much and receive so little back, I know they deserve better but financially all of us are stuck and can't help. I hope and pray my words can reach out to give these four amazing, wonderful people the new start they deserve. Thank you

  45. We would love to be picked for the 2017 Exteme Makeover of our home. We are a family of 4. My husband currently serving in the United States Navy. In May of 2016 our life changed forever. Our youngest daughter was born blue and unresponsive. After much medical intervention they were able to get her resessitated and quickly took her to the Army hospital more then an hour away. We had no idea what this would mean for our future. Her MRI showed brain damage from lack of oxygen to multiple parts of her brain. After weeks in the NICU we brought her home and quickly realized our current house would not be suitable for her. In September we bought what we thought would be our "forever home" as it had all required living space on one floor. After living here for just over a year we are realizing there is lots of work that needs to be done to make it work for her needs. With the growing cost of intervention services and medical equipment it is becoming prevalent that we will not be able to afford to make this house a perfect space for her. Thank you for your consideration as this would change our lives and we would be forever grateful!

  46. I am a mother of three who carries the weight of the world on her shoulder by juggling work and being a mother. There is nothing I wouldn't do for my children who are 19, 15 and 5. Just when I thought I was halfway there I learned of a surprise baby and yes she was a surprise. I struggled with my first two and didn't know what to do but I promised God I would do my best with his help in raising her especially after almost miscarring her nearly four times due to stress related to my job.

As a child I always stood out and people never took to me and that carried over for me as an adult. People are drawn to me and they pay very close attention to me but simply hate me. Over the years I have been faced with great persecution but it never stops me from helping others. Even if that meant for me to stop what I was doing just to pray for them. I would give the clothes off my back to help another in need to which I have but I always come up short because people don't know the sacrifices I have made and made for others.

Over the years I have tried to make renovations to my home but I have been unsuccessful. Sometimes I have to decide whether to put food on the table or have something fixed around the house. People will never know my struggle cause I cry inwardly not showing my children how hard it is and how cruel life can be.

Nothing and I mean nothing has never been given to me…for I work for everything and grateful to God almighty to whom I serve that one day I will no longer have to struggle or hide my tears behind close doors like other mothers who struggle and turn to God for help.

  47. My husband and I are not the kind of people to ask for any kind of help or handout but we are currently at our wits end. We received a notice from our homeowner's insurance that our home is in disrepair and the repairs need completed by December 9, 2017 in order for them to consider insuring us. Well sounds like an easy fix to just apply with another insurance company, we have found no it's not that easy. We have been up front with every insurance company we have called as to why we are calling and all that have come out and looked have agreed with our current insurance company so no go there. We have been trying to refinance our home to get the money but it doesn't seem that we have enough equity in our home. We need help and we need it bad and we need it soon. We love our home and have been working on the inside and once it is finished we were planning on completing the outside. I guess over the years of helping everyone else with their home projects and other fundraising things we have assisted with, we have neglected our own home and it's now to the point as what do we do and where do we turn. I figured i would try and give you all a shot at helping us. Please contact us if we are a good candidate for your program. I am hoping we will be because we are currently in dire need of help to get our house in great shape by December 9, 2017. On top of all this my husband was diagnosed to have every strand of lyme's disease and just recently as having no good cholestoral at all. Myself was diagnosed recently with a type of migraine that causes stroke symptoms and you have extreme vertigo for days. We are not lazy by no means and would do all the work ourselves but we are to a point of needing to ask someone else for help for once. Thank you.
