I grew up singing a'capella in church & later in school, so harmonies come natural. Quite often I add ones not present when listening to music. When my very musical family sings together we mix it up, so I enjoy taking the lead vocal as well. Also, I love to collaborate improvisationally to take the tune to a fresh place!

Hello! My name is Melanie Tate and I have been singing for almost 15 years now. Sugarland has been my favorite band since I heard Jennifer Nettles perform "Something More".I have been blessed with the opportunity to see them 3 times in concert and they were all amazing! I have also been a fan of Kelly Clarkson and have followed her career since she appeared on American Idol's first season. I have some musical background. My dad played guitar and my mom played piano when I was just a little girl. I joined the band when I was 10 years old and played the trumpet until I 14. I learned how to read music and then decided to persue chorus in high school my sophmore – senior years and competed in some competitions. My teacher actually had a small recording studio, so I got to experience a little bit of that end of the music industry. I have the ability to perform onstage, as I was also in drama classes. I sing as much as possible on a daily basis. I love to sing and when given the opportunity, I will perform in front of small or large audiences. I moved to New York to pursue my dreams many years ago and somehow got lost in the nightmare of simply surviving. This particular show takes the edge off being on stage alone and gives you the opportunity to perform with some of the best of the best–it's unique, but it is not easy. Diana Weiss…a native to Los Angeles, has been a professional singer & musician for the past 20 years. She has performed in many venues…restaurants, bars, private parties, casinos, outdoor music festivals, as well as The House of Blues & The Staples Center. She sings various styles of music including classic rock, country, jazz, r&b, top 40 & disco. She plays piano, guitar & percussion as well as writes original songs.
Music is in her blood…her father played drums, trumpet & piano professionally and her mother is an accomplished pianist. Her Grandmother was also an accomplished pianist and vocal/choir teacher. Her grandfather was "Sammy Weiss", a famous jazz drummer from New York.
