Fresh off of his Golden Globe win, James Franco isn’t slowing down. While the Academy Awards are coming up, Franco is in New York City filming his HBO series “The Deuce”. He is nominated for Best Actor for his performance in “The Disaster Artist”. The Game of Thrones network has released a casting call for extras. Producers are searching for men ages 25 to 55 for the shoot. Guys will be portraying Gay Bar Patrons. Filming will be on February 28th and March 2nd. There could also potentially be multiple shoot dates between February and August. These will be both outdoor and indoor scenes. A fitting is scheduled to be on February 27th. The pay is $143.00 for ten hours.
According to Deadline, the HBO series “The Deuce” follows the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York’s Times Square from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s, exploring the rough-and-tumble world that existed there until the rise of HIV, the violence of the cocaine epidemic, and the renewed real estate market ended the bawdy turbulence.
