The Voice – NBC

It’s official, America has a new favorite singing competition show and it is The Voice. The fantastic show has put a fresh spin on the genre that has worked so well that yet another rip-roaring has just been ordered. Casting calls are ready to start soon. Now you can show America what you’ve got by raising your ‘Voice”. The Voice mentors include music superstars Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and this years exciting new additions, the fabulous Gwen Stefani and producer/artist extraordinaire Pharrell Williams who judge each contestant based on the best voice, real talent, unique sound, right attitude, and performance that makes a permanent impression. Make no mistake, though The Voice is initially judged just on that – the voices. The fantastic foursome sit with their backs to the singers and judge first strictly on the voices they hear. In order for the judges to see a performance they must like the voice enough to hit a button which spins their chair around to see “The Voice” they find promise in. All musical styles are being searched by the producers for this all new season.  Singers will once again compete weekly contests with the chance to walk away with the grand prize of  a recording contract and $100,000 dollars cash! For participating in the contest, applicants must be a legal U.S. resident, and their age must be at least 18 years or older. The show contains three stages of competition such as the blind audition, battle phase and the live performances. A coach will select the impressive contestant for his/her team of competitors during the blind audition stage. If the talent will be selected by more than one coach, then the contestant have right to select the coach, with whom he/she wants to work during the competition. If any contestant will not be selected by a coach then he/she will be eliminated. The competition will start when the teams will be set. The contestants will be mentored by coaches to transform their superlative voices for becoming star artists. Two contestants of one team will stay against each other to sing the same song in front of studio audience. On the basis of this, the contestants, who will continue and who will go home will be decided by coaches. The top contestants from every team will compete during a live telecast in the final stage, performance. The winner will be selected by audience vote. For final stage of competition, every coach will have their best contestant left standing. “The Voice” will be named from these four and will receive the grand prize of the recording contract and $100,000. leave a comment below and you can go here for more information nbcthevoice.com/ Here are the current open audition locations – stay tuned for updates!

  1. I've had a dream to become famous for years now. Personally I think that I would be an excellent candidate for your show. I'm 15 and I live in Florida. I'm not going to beg you to put me through or anything, whatever happens happens. I just think that you would be missing out on a huge opportunity if you don't choose me. Thanks !

  2. Hi, I'm Kaitlin and I think I could make the cut in "the voice" considering Im a talented singer and dancer and definitely have a personal story as to why I love music and I would just love to take part in it. Plus that recording contract definitely wouldn't hurt. That would be like a dream come true.

  6. I recently just learned of the new show, "The Voice" and immediately feel in love with it. At the very least I know its just another reality singing show…but what strikes me most about this is that you don't get to see who's behind the mask at first. I think that is honestly beautiful. To give anyone a chance at their dreams…and to let America fall in love with them for their talents and gifts rather than the norm. Singing is my passion and it always will be. I have been singing in competitions since I was 5 years old and am now 22. I have had singing, dancing, and acting lessons for multiple years, and could be a great addition to the entertainment industry. Entertainment is where my soul lies and I will NOT stop until I succeed. You will not be disappointed in your next winner of the Voice. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you! 🙂

  7. Every since I was a little girl I never wanted anyone to hear me sing. About 3 years ago I started sharing my voice with my close family and friends…and now I feel it's time to share it with the WORLD.

  8. Honeistly, I would do this for my grandfather. He has been my bestfriend, supporter aswell amy biggest fan ever. I am what you would call the misfit of my family. Grew up extremley early, made plenlty of mistakes in my life. Through it all while everyone else turned there back on me, he was always there for me. Always beleived in me and never disowned me. He always love too hear me sing. Everytime he around and I sing, it would bring tears too his and mine. I wanna show everyone people can change for the good. And too me this would be a dream to do. Just to bring happiness too everyone through words in a song. Its a passion, aswell as a gift. I would love to share it with all of you.

  9. Hello!

  11. Hi : D I haven't the faintest clue on how to audition for the Voice and I don't know where to look online. I don't know if I will ever try out but still it's nice to know things if I do want to audition.

  12. Hello!

My name is Kayla. I am seventeen years old, and I have been taking voice lessons since I was nine. I would LOVE to be on the voice because it would give me the opportunity to show the nation my talent and give me the opportunity to share my music with the world! It is my dream to be a singer/songwriter, and I am determined to make it happen!

  13. I can make people smile with my voice. When I sing is when I'm the happiest, I become free from the worlds harsh and demanding grip, but mostly singing makes me feel whole and closer to myself. I want to sing. I want to make the people around me stop and listen, hold their breath and raise the hair on the back of their necks.

  14. From what I have read about last years contestants it is obvious that you must already be a semi-professional musician. Can you clarify this?

  15. All I am asking for is a chance to prove to you that at 49 I still got what GOD has blessed me with. Nine children,15 grandchildren and 20 yrs later of struggling with bands and promises from whom all meant well, here I still wait and long for the opportunity to prove myself to then world, I have "THE VOICE"!!!!. Please give me the chance to prove to you as well that I am the one , the voice. This my passion as well as my prayer. Thank you
p.s. 50 IN OCT 2011 BUT STILL LOOK GOOD TRUST ME

  16. I would love a chance to audition for The Voice because I am a young expecting mother who grew up loving music, I have an interest in singing and have been told I have a great singing voice. I grew up in foster hommes and moved a lot and didnt really have a chance to chase my dreams, but now that I am on my own, I want a chance to show the world what I can do. I feel I am ready to start off and I am ready to do whatever it takes to make the next step in my singing career. I know I am a singer at heart and I just want to show off my talent and hopefully someone will be listening… 🙂

  18. I sing bcuz it's my melodic expressions of every emotion imaginably blamed on music! Ha. Singing/Songwriting/Traveling/Performing remain to be the best experiences in a job I can say I have ever had and I yearn to do it more and better! Music is an authentic relationship that is always present with me…I listen to all forms and it inspires many of my performances. For over 20yrs we have been inseperable and I have matured generously because of I but have so much more to learn. I'm timid and explosive in music and look forward to continuing to share my lyrical expressions through song with the world. Blessings! Zoe-Fashion Plate..

  19. Hello! My name is Ian. I'm a 20 year old college student. I didn't really discover my voice until I was about 14. Through the last 6 years, my voice has developed intensely! I've never had lessons. I walked into Waldorf Choir at random and was accepted! Which was a great honor. I love singing so much, and everyone who has heard me has claimed I have a beautiful voice and should try out for a competition such as this! I know I was born to make music, and I'm going to make it happen!

  20. Since I was a little girl I have always wanted to sing. Music is my life; there is no other way to put it. My father got me started out with music, and there is nothing more that I want than to show him my appreciation. I have worked very hard with practicing and this is my dream. I wanted to try out for American Idol but when it came down to it, the cost was WAY to much. I know that I can do this…I have faith, my friends, and family. If you put me through to audition….I ensure that I will sing my heart out and try my best to prove that you have made the right decision.
    -Mariah

  21. Hi there wonderful people of America…Can you please tell me if your gonna bring the show auditions to "DOWN UNDER" Australia at all??? I would really really love to auditon in this comp I would love to be amongst amazing talent around the globe xox Hellz

  22. For many years i've sang, not unlike everyone else auditioning and commenting on this page but you could say my story is a little different, for the past 12 years my mom has been battling brain cancer, skin cancer, and has been undergoing surgeries every year. I started out singing for her when she was in the hospital to make her happy and to distract her from everything else going. I never really considered myself too fantastic until this year when i sang in my school's martin luther king assembly and got rave reviews. I sing to brighten others' day, to help people i know and even those who i've never met before, be able to feel like they can go for their dreams just like i always try and strive for mine. To show that no matter your skin tone(i'm both black and white) that anyone can do anything they wish to persue. I'm a 5'2,spunky 17 year old named Avalon, and i'd like to show America what i've got. I love singing and i would love nothing more than to show my talent

  23. Hi im michayla kynard from Bellevue, Nebraska. I'm 17 years old and a senior in high school. Music is my everything and i really truly believe i have what it takes to be the voice.

  24. i have been singing since i was eight. i have performed for crowds that range from 100 to 300 people. i would love to perform on The Voice, even just for the blind audition. God gave me talent and i think i got what it takes!

  25. I have been singing longer than I can remember, and I have been in the top choirs at my high school. I have made it through rounds of karaoke at my university and at a city competition, and I have also gone to State competition in Solo/Ensemble. I have an excellent choir voice, and my stage voice is definitely in need of work; which is why I would love to be part of The Voice, even if I don’t make it past the blind audition stage! I would love to just get some pointers from excellent singers whom I admire, and if I make it past that stage, I would be ecstatic!
    Thank you for consideration!

  26. Hi my name is Penina. I would like to try something new and just sing:) something to help myself and my family right now. I would love to do something I was afraid to do:)

  27. Hello, to whom this may concern my name is Eboni Star and although my name speaks for itself, I should be given an opportunity to showcase my talent as a singer/songwriter/performer. I am approaching the age of 22, single mom residing in Jacksonville Florida. I am passionate about my desire to sing and perform all over the world…I will fulfill my destiny. I have struggled and even hit rock bottom but music has always been in my heart, my body, and my soul: It is my therapy. It has not and it will not leave…IT IS SIMPLY MY DESTINY. Singing, writing, and performing is truely my calling to change lives all over the world. This is all that I have and I refuse to throw a pitty-party and just give up! This is for me and it will happen one way or the other. So please consider me as one of the possible contenders to audition for “The Voice.” I am definately ready to work hard and proceed to the next level in my music career… Timing is everything and my time is now!

    Star*

  28. I am hoping to be considered.I sang for West Tennessee Idol but am afraid my age may have been a factor. I am in my fifties. I write my own music and sing some of my own songs. I love country music and feel my song writing can be taken seriously. I sing from my own life experiences and others can relate to them. I also sing other singers songs as well.

  29. I love to sing, sing and sing..I was born to sing my heart out.

Please select me to audition for the Voice.

    Thanks,
    Kimberly

  31. Hello, My name is Taylor Holland. I am 19 years old and I am going on my second year of college as a Music Major. I’ve been singing and performing since I was very young, I’ve also been in plays and I play a few musical instruments. I am the person you’re looking for and I know I have everything you need. 36. I should be considered to be on the voice because, I find that my voice is very unique, and I believe that my voice should be shown to the world. If I get this opportunity to be a contestant on The Voice, I would be sure to show the world that I am a star, and I would proudly make them happy.

  38. If Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, India Arie and Aretha Franklin had a baby with Musiq the Soul Child and John Legend, I would be the result. I am a down to earth singer/songwriter with a powerful voice and a gift for expressing myself. I know how to feel a song and make others feel it too. I would be great for the show because whether or not you select me I have “the voice” and I will keep singing!

  39. at most times in life we seem limited to opportunities that come across us. to be able to share what you love with the world is the ultimate opportunity of a lifetime. just the joy of it brings the best feeling you could think of. bringing auditions to hawaii would open a window of hope for many, including me.

  40. The ONLINE video auditions are NOT following the RULES set by the show.Of all of the CHOICES of songs they offer for entrants to sing NONE are GOSPEL MUSIC & it is advertised as ANY style of music NOT just Country,Rock,or Pop music! I don’t KNOW or SING any of the songs offered as CHOICES for ONLINE entries! Can you have them offer at least a COUPLE of TRADITIONAL GOSPEL music songs PLEASE?Let’s be FAIR with the auditions! }:>) THANKS & GOD BLESS!

  41. I am a single father that has been chasing this dream as a singer and songwriter for 15 years. I have gotten close to fulfilling that dream a time or two. I have two wonderful full-length CD’s and am working on a third. I have three reasons why I want to be on The Voice. The first is for my 5 yr old daughter Rozlynn; I am doing it for her future and education. The second is because I sing at a professional level and so wish for the chance to share this gift in a professional light. And third, because this is what I do and I truly believe that you folks have got something extremely cool and unique going on here, so here I am. I live in a very small forested community on Mt Hood in Oregon. I would love to have the opportunity to finally break out and sing for the world.

  42. I would LOVE to show my singing talent.I just started singing KARAOKE & many people think I have what it takes to earn a living doing this.My singing is MUCH more POWERFUL when I stand up & sing but my webcam does not permit that for now.I have a couple of videos on YouTube that everyone can watch by searching my name & at this time just do this as a HOBBY.It’s just a DREAM now but GOD makes DREAMS COME TRUE “EVERY DAY”! Love the show so keep it up NBC it’s a WINNER! }:>)

  43. I am a teen mom who has always had a love for music and expressing myself through my lyrics.Having a child at a young age has been quite difficult but has only made me want to strive towards being a pro. singer.

  44. I want to be on voice, because this is something I’ve wanted to do my whole life. I am now 27 with two kids, I’ve been through alot the past 3 years ecspecially with the loss of my brother in law who was a deputy in la county. He left behind my sister and beautiful niece who is now four… With his loss I have realized we never know when our time will come, so we need to live our life how we dream it… And my dream is to sing and for u to hear it and love it..

  45. Hi, my name is ReaAnna. One of my good friends Patrick Barr has recently tried out for American idol and didn’t make it. He got cut off before he even begun to get into the song. He has always wanted to become famous. That’s all he ever talks about. He’s an excellent song writer and panio player. He is also working on some gutair playing as well. He was the lead in all of the choir events and even soloed in multiple jazz band songs when lyrics were required. He has recently moved out of his parents house to live with his best friend Jared which is also my boyfriend because all his parents ever did was hold him back from his dreams and tell him he wasn’t good enough. With the new found support of his friends he is ready to take on the world. He just needs someone to give him a chance. It would be greatly appreciated if someone would help him on his journey.

  46. all i have in life anymore is my love of music the beat the rhythm of i love it more than anything in this world its the only thing that keeps me going anymore nothing else makes sense but music i couldnt live without music and even if you didnt choose me i would find away to make it one way or another i just want to let the world hear my music i cant take my life anymore and music is the only thing pushing me forward i would love to have the chance to show you what i could do thank you

  48. Sorry, I didn’t mention that it was for the “Glee.. The Project”, however, I am sure that musical fans already knew that..

  49. Robert Sharkey & MyKynleigh Abraham tried out and were the top 83 of 40,000. Miki made the top 12 and each of them are a stand out in their own unique way. They have a dream and it will come true! Hopefully, “The Voice” agrees and invites them to be contestants…

    Their Biggest FANS!!!!

  54. I’m interested in finding out the specific date & location of these auditions in Chicago? If anyone can help it’d be greatly appreciated!

    Very Interested

  55. I have been singing ever since I’ve been able to talk, and maybe even before. I don’t ever want to imagine the world without music, there’s no other medium that impacts and nourishes my soul like the sounds of well written, produced, and performed songs. The show is intriguing and non discriminative which is rare in talent competitions. I would be honored if u would consider my talents for The Voice auditions. I’ve been encouraged my entire life to put my talent to the test, and believe this could be my chance. Much love to you all. Hope to hear from you soon.

  56. I would love to be a part of this show because singing and performing are my passion, and I would love to make a career out of it. Not only can I sing but I have great stage presence because I love to perform. I am a handsom, confident star in the making.

  57. I think I could make an impact in this show for a few reasons. I love to sing and that’s the biggest reason. I wake up in the morning and that’s my first thought. Im turning 24 this year and I realized I have to work to make it happen. So I give me a shot I think my ability and competitive outlook would work for the show thanks for your time.

  58. I am a person of faith and believe that imparting your gift to others can restore the good spirit of the world. My gift is the gift of voice. I love to use my voice to speak, sing and enlighten others. Without music, I am nothing. It is very much a part of me. It lives in the core of me and I belt all the love that I have for it though my notes. Through singing, I get to cure others as well as building immunity for myself during times of sorrow. Inspiration can lead others to their dream as well. I want to be a part of that so badly. You will see that I’m a happy guy because, well I am always singing. I’ve met famous people who said that I need to do more with my singing. I am not done yet. My fans will let you know that there’s more to me that needs to shine. “The Voice” can allow me to impact others and I need to share my gift.

  59. I think i should be a part of The Voice because i sing and singing is my life . I will do whatever i can to get to the top (: . My main goal in life is to be a singer , to be known , to inspire people , to be a role model for others (: . I’m 15 and i’ve already been rejected multiple times , but my dream always tells me ” dont quit ” i truly believe that i can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me ! God has put so many people in my life to lead to the door where my dream is .. All i need is a key (: , and i believe that being on The Voice will help me find that key (: . Im just waiting on God to send me in the right direction ! God Bless (:
