The Last Five Years is based on the rousing, award winning original work written by Jason Robert Brown. The film will tell the story of the relationship between struggling actress Cathy Hyatt and novelist Jaime Wellerstein. The tale is told separately from both characters perspectives, Cathy’s in reverse chronological order and Jaime’s chronologically, with unforgettable musical numbers featured in both. Academy Award nominee Kendrick (Up In The Air, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) will star as Cathy and she will be joined by a fine supporting cast that includes Jeremy Jordan (Smash, Joyful Noise, It Could Be Worse), Natalie Knepp (Going the Distance, Under Her Skin, The Good Wife) and Meg Carriero (Person of Interest, Blue Bloods, Royal Pains).
