It’s back! The amazingly popular Sunday Best is heading back to televisions everywhere for it’s 5th season of praise and glory. This is your chance to become the brand new face of gospel singing. Open auditions both in person and online are starting soon for the most fantastic and relevant singing show on television today.
Sunday Best is reality TV competition hosted by gospel legend Kirk Franklin that aims to find the next great American gospel superstar. Contestants that are chosen compete against each other each week until one special voice is left standing with the grand prize of a recording contract, a new car, a fabulous cash prize and the chance to have their talents of faith reach people then they could have ever imagined! The contestants are judged each week by a celebrity panel that featuring Grammy Award winner Donnie McClurkin, and Mary Mary members Tina and Erica Campbell and are mentored by award winning gospel star Kim Burrell. God blessed me with the ability to touch others with my voice, so I want the opportunity to do just that. I have been singing since the young age of 3. God is my savior and he blessed me with this talent, so I want to show the world by praising him like I've never praised him before.
The reason i feel that i should be on sundays best is, coming up as a little boy,i was teased alot about being skinny,bigg ears,and a snitch.and i just use to cry,but one day my grandfather saw fit to tease me, and the spirit spoke to my grandfather who was the bishop of our church and said,Be careful how you tease him cause hes annoited.and said that threw my singing people would be healed,now i put my trust in friends,family,but not enough in god,and i would always say,Sometimes it takes for us as a people to take a step back,and see how far we go in the future. so im 31yrs old now,i have always been shy to take certains steps for my future,but now is the time,that i show god,my family,my friends and the whole world the gift that god has blessed me to share with the world, tHAT GOD IS GOD,And hes almighty. I pray that god hear my cry,my prayer,and most of all my wish. Now thats the reason i feel that i should be on sundays best…
I believe that I'm the next Sunday Best because singing is my passion. I love praising and singing for the Lord.I believe that songs can touch a person heart and speak into their soul. Believing in God and having a relationship with him, give you all the reason to shout to the moutian top. I love him and I believe in what I sing about.
I should be the next Sunday best because I have a heart for music, and I will love to show the world how much I love the heavenly Father, I try to sing R&B but a lot of people tills me your voice is to churchie, what ever that mean I don't know.. I love to sing for the Lord that is were I'm most at peace with.. The lord help me out through out the years and I want to sing my heart out for hem to show hem my heart and soul and mind belong to father and no one else. when ever I sing for my father its like he is singing through me to reach out to someone that need to hear my voice and that is going through something at the time. I'm not trying to be famous or get rich I just want my voice to be heard and that I'm some body that went through the same hard trail and trouble and to let the people know don't give up no matter what keep pushing forward. Hello, I'm Aaron and I'm kinda skeptical about these tv talent shows, but I love god and I recognize that he has blessed me with an amazing geft. I'd like to take a shot an audition, most people don't think we do a lot of shouting and gospel singing in the catholic church but times have changed.. So on that note I guess I'll be waiting.
Young talented black male here from Washington DC and I have been blessed with many of talents but one is the gift of song..the enemy comes and trys to distract you from what God has. But when God keeps giving you signs that this is your calling you are to answer. Well here we go my spirit tells me to sing touuch lives save someone. I don't sing,not a promoter.But I can honestly say "when your touched by a blessed voice, your soul listens". I work for a prison and a recently retired officer would sing and all would feel an awsome, spirit moving moment.She has moved away,but that voice has stayed with our hearts. This would be a blessing to share with the world!
First of all I want to give all my thanks and glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!I am from Tupelo Mississippi but have been living in Odessa Texas since 1982.I have wanted to attend before but my timing was always off.I have 6 children and 6 grandchildren.I call it my 12 pack of LOVE.I have been through storms and God blessed me and my family to come through it all.I almost died a few years ago,as well as had to have a funeral for my grandaughter "Nevaeh".I have quit alot of jobs in my life due to fact that it kept me from going to church.The church has always been my comfort zone and who else is better to work for then Jesus,nobody!I just want to tell the world what God has done for me and let them know what he did for me,he will do for anybody!Thank you Jesus!I love to sing gospel and I know I can be an inspiration to someone.I just want to lift up the name Jesus!I love the Lord so much and whatever I can do to bring souls to him I am going to put 100% as you know 99 and a half want do!I will be traveling to Dallas this weekend to do just that and be able to say " I AM HERE"!Much love to all!Just being there will be a blessing to my soul and know that this is my season to tell just how much the Lord has done for me!God Bless and for those who see this,I am asking for prayer for me and my family safe trip there!

I'd first like to start by saying, Praise God for saving, filling, delivering,healing, and anoiting me and for being first in my life. Secondly I'd like to say I feel Sunday Best was ordained and orchestrated by God Himself. Gospel Best has given and is giving those who have been called by God to minister to the world through song the opportunity to do just that. I thank God for entrusting me with the gift of song that He has placed on the inside of me and sprinkling it with His precious anoiting. God released me to leave Fl. in May 2011 and relocate to Atlanta to do what it is He told me He called me to do, which is sing to the nations. It has not been easy at all. I lived in a shelter with my grandson and 27 yr. old daughter the first 5 mths we were in Ga., became employed after mths of seeking employment and moved into a hotel close to my job. Where I still reside. Lost my job almost 4 mths ago because I refused to be provoked into a verbal confrontation with a supervisor on my job, and God has made a way for the hotel bill to be paid every wk. Which by the way, pray for me because my bill is overdue and due again Fri. If I don't get the money up today my grandson and I may possibly be sleeping in my car tonight. Which by the way broke down on me right after Thanksgiving. So you see, it's been a fight since I first arrived in Ga.lol If God would've told me before I left Fl. i know I would have never left home. But hey our Daddy got jokes. My son told me I need to leave Ga. cause it just ain't working for me. I broke down and wept loudly, but I told God I knew my son couldn't see the vision bu I was more hurt because my mother who is a spirit filled praying woman who heard the prophecy concerning music ministry and about my move to Ga. doubted, and I know it's because we don't like to see our loved ones go throw, but I told God I still trust Him and I still believe Him no matter what happens. Just give the grace I need to get through whatever I have to face. I auditioned for The Voice last Saturday. I wasn't picked but the experience as far as meeting all of the talented people was great. BUT WHEN I HEARD SUNDAY BEST WAS COMING TO ATLANTA APRIL 14,2012, MMMMMMMYYYYY GGGGGOOOOODDD!!!!….lol that's when I became excited! You mean, I get the chance to openly praise and worship my God? that's what I'm talking about! anyway, I feel I have something to offer the world through gospel jazz and gospel neo-soul. I praise God for Sundays Best. The Gospel and church community do not have very many outlets to express our love for God and gospel music.I am a worshiper and I would love to be given the opportunity to show my love for God thru song.I have been singing gospel music for years as well as other styles, jazz, rb, etc. There is nothing like gospel music. Others tell me all the time to go for Sundays Best. Now I feel it is time. There is a time and a season. It's Time!!!

My sister (Kim)and I are a gospel/inspirational duo! We both love the Lord and we love people. The bible instructs us to love God, then love our fellow man as wel love ourselves. So you know where our love starts…it starts at home! We have been singers our whole lives, however it wasn't until we were asked to sing together (for the first time) at a new years eve service a few years ago the we knew the Lord wanted to use us as a unit. Before singing together, we sang in separate ministries all while manifesting the glory of God through song, and now that glory is still being manifested through she and I. i should be on Sunday best because God has a way of moving in my life.. I believe he has a particular way of working with me and when i sing i try to show the lord i am gretful.. I dont even take credit for the things that come out of my mouth when i sing gospel music because if it hadnt been for Him in the first place I wouldnt be singing and the church wouldnt be feelin it!!! i love the lord!!!!!!!

Hello my name is Lecetia Stubblefield and I have been singing in the church for a while now. I Love God and I love praising him through music. There is something about making a connection with God when you know in your heart that you are singing to him and not just for entertainment. It has been a while since I have sang in the church due to hurt from my father, which was also my pastor. The devil was able to come in and destroy a family ministry and I did not want to sing anymore. I had to sit back and think who am I that my family and I are exempt from the devil trying to destroy what God put together. I think that if people in the church were more real then they would be able to reach those that are not in the church. I am ready to take back everything that the devil thinks he took from me and my family!I know that God has given me a gift and I do not want to lose my gift. I think that if I can make someone feel good and have a smile on their face then I have helped someone get through something with the help of God. I am ready to share my gift, because it has been put away too long!

Angel Bland is my birth name. Nobody can tell me that God didn't have plans for me when He put those two names together. One of the reasons I would like to participate in BET's Sunday Best 2012 Season 5, March 24th in Dallas, Texas, is because my faith is leading me in that direction. I call people on the phone and encourage them with a song in their time of need, and at Christmas because I have no money for gifts. Singing doesn't cost me a penny. Its my gift from God to others. They appreciate receiving it as I do giving it. I simply want to share my testimonies through tune and 'tude with no acknowledgment to fear of failure. It takes me to another place. I am praying this whole experience will move in me, over, under, up, down, around me, and beyond; just like my love for the Father moves me. The Word and Music Ministry continues to take me to another level (spiritual growth), and the Father has truly worked a mighty mighty work in me. I am now ready to further my gift (if it be His will) and surpass the standard of my call. This is Satan's last time with this particular tactic of trying to block this particular blessing, for no weapon formed against me shall prosper. There is a reason and a season for my desire in this BET gospel experience. The Father is the reason and this is my season. I recognized my spiritual gift at the age of nine when I sang my first church solo, and I understood its purpose. I will not say I never strayed from the path but even so, the Father never took my gift away. And as you know, God can do whatever He wants to do. He could have taken it when I was in the world being disobedient, but He is merciful and gracious, among other things. I am grateful for the Blessed Assurance that He lives in me, and is the one thing no one can take away from me. Its been tried; He rose three days later. I've seen, done, gained, and lost a lot, but GOD …. He has been the constant. I know that He is not done with me yet "for to whom much is given, much is expected." I've been given much and I will do nothing short of what is expected. His Word and Music Ministry will never die so I'm covered. He is my reason and this is my season, no pressure. My name is Christian Rodriguez from Newark, New Jersey and im 22 years old. I have been singing i was 4 years old. I was classically trained first when i went to Arts High School in Newark. During my high school years i was performing and also auditioning for American Idol twice but didnt turn out the way i thought it would be. During the third year of high school i met a gospel director called S3 And The Truth. I was on Bobby Jones and also did background for Wyclef. I eat, breath, smell and think music every day and every hour and second that passes. I would love to have the opportunity to audition. Hello I'm writing on behalf of my 10 year old son who I am trying to get noticed for his drumming skills.Drumming is my sons passion and has been playing since the age of 4. It all started when Drumline came out and he began watching it at a year old and to this day watches it as if it just came out : )HE had the opportunity to work in a band with 2 high school students in ky, They played at restaurants and he also recorded songs with them in a recording studio. It would be such a blessing if someone can give me the advice i need to get him exposed for everyone to see how much he really wants and needs this. Hello. I was in a meeting one day and heard the speaker say that she would not want to stand before the Lord and have HIM say you did not fulfill your purpose here on earth. That struck me to tears as I thought about my chance to stand before the Lord. All I know is that God has blessed me with this talent, and I give of it freely whenever I am offered the opportunity. People love to hear me sing and always say things like you are in the wrong field, or do you have a CD; I would be the first to buy one. I always ask God not to take away my talent because I am not using it as He wants me too. I have always wanted to be a singer (Christian/Gospel), but constantly make up excuses why others are better than me. But I have come to realize that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, as the WORD says, and if I could use my God-given talent to encourage others to be a part of this Great Kingdom and to join the Body of Christ, it would be worth having the talent.
