It’s back! The amazingly popular Sunday Best is heading back to televisions everywhere for it’s 5th season of praise and glory. This is your chance to become the brand new face of gospel singing. Open auditions both in person and online are starting soon for the most fantastic and relevant singing show on television today.
Sunday Best is reality TV competition hosted by gospel legend Kirk Franklin that aims to find the next great American gospel superstar. Contestants that are chosen compete against each other each week until one special voice is left standing with the grand prize of a recording contract, a new car, a fabulous cash prize and the chance to have their talents of faith reach people then they could have ever imagined! The contestants are judged each week by a celebrity panel that featuring Grammy Award winner Donnie McClurkin, and Mary Mary members Tina and Erica Campbell and are mentored by award winning gospel star Kim Burrell. Hello my name is Lorna Wadlington and I was born and raised in Detroit, MI. God has smiled on me. He has truly set me free and delivered me from so much. I was born Situs Inversus Totalis. This means all of my organs are reversed. People like me usually spend all of our lives in the hospital. But God said it was not so. He has delivered me from the hospital room. He has restored me when I lost my father at the age of 2 and my mother at the age 16. He has blessed me with a loving family; biologically and spiritually. At the age of 16, I was introduced to Jesus Christ by my foster mother, Acie Levingston Spraddling. At that time, I felt lost. I didn’t even believe I had a purpose in life. But God used a dynamic woman of God to show me that He still loves and cares for me. I would love to be on Sunday Best to show others that may feel lost and alone that they are not alone. It is my desire to be used by God to accomplish His perfect will. I believe Sunday Best is the platform that would allow this on a much larger scale and I would count it an honor and a privilege to be selected as a contestant on Sunday Best.

I am a 33year old mother of 1son treviaun who was my motivation to receive christ as my lord and savior at 8months pregnant. i was healed of multiple sclerosis a little over three years ago where i was blind and paralyzed i have been anointed to make straight the way of the lord and just desire to sing to his glory.
Hi. My name is Euteki Tekia Tyler. I am a PK from a small town in SC called North, SC. I am 31 yrs old and have a beautiful son named Aiden. He is my pride and joy. I am currently unemployed. Due to complications with my pregnancy, I was forced to leave work and was hospitalized for 3 weeks. My life and my sons life were in danger. My son was born 3mos early and had to stay in the hospital for 2mos. He had to live in an incubater, was hooked up to a ventilator, and had to have a blood transfusion. I was borderline for havinf stroke, going into liver failure, and at risk for siesures. Praying was all I could do. The reason why i would like to be a contestant on Sunday’s Best is because singing is the only think i can see myself doing for the rest of my life and yes i Love to sing for the Lord. Growing up in the Church and sining in the chior is how I learned that I can sing. I feel its the only thinks i can feel confident doing. I have dreamed of singing all my life. I auditioned for American Idol when i was 28. Everytime I watched the show is would sit and think i should have auditioned. So I did. I didnt get to the final judging but i was just so proud of myself for just trying. I would be honored and please to be a contestant. I want to let God know that i truely love him for who he is and for All that he has done for me and my family. Thank you and may God bless.
This audition is not for me, but it is for my mother. She is one of the strongest individuals I have ever known. And when she opens her mouth to sing praises to God there is a sure anointing every time because of the life battles she has fought. Singing is one of the weapons God has given her for each battle, and I know that when she gets on Sunday Best the power of God Almighty will be with her and many souls will be saved!

Hello my name is Destiny. I am about to be 17years old next month. I have been through so many ups and down throughout my life. There were times that I wanted to give up, but God wouldn’t let me. God has blessed me with a wonderful talent, which is singing. When I sing praises to God it helps me get rid of the pain I been through. Last year I gave my life to Christ. I thought that everything would change , but it didn’t. So many people started telling me I couldn’t do this and that, and my friends started turning their backs on me. I did not know the gift that god gave me until one day i was 10 years old and was singing for my mom. and we both was in shock when the sound that came out of a little girls mouth and the holyness that filled my body. Praise God from whom All blessing flow! I was born to sing and entertain. I am a student in the Conservatory of Performing Arts. I have played and sang in my church choir. God has blessed me with the gift of singing His praises through song. I would like to be a part of the Sundays Best that if only for that moment, sing to the world of people listening and perhaps help some young adult want to become closer to God and begin their journey to walk with Him. Hello, my name is Kiona & I love this show. I have been singing since I was 5 years old. God has given me this gift & I know I need to use it for him, God is my first love. When I was 16 I had a developmental contract with A & M records. Needless to say, they did not call me back for more. I grew up asking God why not? (since he had given me the talent). I now know he not only owns my voice but he wanted my heart as well! To be on Sunday Best would allow me to share my love with others. Before I begin a song I pray & ask God to use me to help bring someone closer to him. My voice is my weapon against the enemy & I want to use it untill God takes my last note home to him.

I believe that I should be part of the Sunday Best – BET Audition and Casting Call for 2011 and 2012 because I was created to glorifiy God by using my voice as an instrument to reach the world and to draw souls for christ. I believe that God placed in everyone of us a speacial gifts, and talents that is meant to be used to glorify him and to lift up his name. What other reason is more important but to give God the glory not only for what he has done but for WHO HE IS!!! It is my “passion” and calling to win souls for christ by singing songs that will loose the bonds of oppression, and depression. Songs that will set the captives free, and loose the bonds of wickedness over peoples lives. I was called to sing, and write songs of Zion that will minister to the very souls of men, and women. I’ve been a christian since a young child I fell away from god and i have recently rededicated my life back to god on April 14, 2010. The lord has blessed me in a great abundance, and I sing about it everyday. The gospel is in my blood and i sing from my heart,my soul, I am truly anointed and I will love to be apart of Sunday’s Best so i can show the world the love that my Jesus has for me, and how he has brought me through.

I’m a proud parent of a 2 year old little boy.Ive been singing gospel since i was just a little girl. Over the years my life has had many trials and tribulations, but no matter how hard it got, I never gave up on God because he said that he would never leave me nor forsake me. I’m proud to say that I was at my weakest point in May 2011 and I thought all hope was gone. It wasn’t until I went down on my knees and cried out to God and asked him to enter into my heart. I asked God to help me to forgive and forget. I’m proud to say that I have a relationship with God like none other. He is my guidance and my protector. I will trust in him and honor until he says well done. Gospel is apart of my life, its a job that God has for me to do. I believe that this is my calling. Hello my name is Shanice Smith. I just recently turned 20 years old May 18th, 2011. I was a Back slider but recently got saved again to be closer to the Lord. I couldn’t imagine singing for anyone else but God so i think that Sunday’s Best would give me the opportunity to really express how the Lord has changed me. Being a young mother and not having much family support, no job, wondering how will i eat or support my unborn child. I thought God had given up on me. It took me a while to realize that God has not giving up on me and there is still hope for me. Everyone around me wanted to see me fail, but God saw the best in me. I just want to let all the young women, and single mothers know that there is still hope, and when all else has failed remember you can trust in him. Ive been singing all my life, but words couldn’t express the feeling i get when I’m singing for the lord. I just hope that i am given the opportunity.
Hi!!! Im Octavious Williams and I recently turned 20 years of age on Feb 1 2011, i was ordained an Evangelist on july 11,2010. Im a musician by heart. I play the keyboard, B3,Bass guitar and Lead Guitar.im the national praise &Worship director in my church organization.I travel the road to sing and preach.In 2007 I had a terrible spinal injury which temporarily paralyzed my lower extremities.My physicians had given up on me and my family but God is slowly healing my body I now can walk without cruches but can be difficult at times.I do believe I would be a great contestant do to my testimony and anointing which God has placed upon my life as a young man.I do believe I can be a role model for other young men and women in christ and allow them to know that God will and can give you the very desires of your heart if you only trust him.God bless
