A major new Disney remake is set to role in front of cameras soon and along with it comes a major new casting calls. Pete’s Dragon will be a fresh take on the magical tale of boy meets fantastical animal. When Pete loses his parents in a tragic car crash at the age of four, he retreats into the forest and befriends a kindly dragon named Elliott who helps him through his difficult time. When a local mill threatens to raze the forest and drive the friends from their home, Pete must decide between staying with his friend or starting a new life with the first humans he has seen in years. This more realistic version of P.D. follows in the very successful formula that Disney has used for such recent hits as Maleficent starring Academy Award winner Angelina Jolie and Alice in Wonderland featuring Oscar nominee Johnny Depp and all signs are pointing to this fabulous project being just as big of a sensation for millions of Mouse House fans around the world.
