Full Metal Jousting - The History Channel

New Nationwide Casting Call for a Reality TV show on the History Channel.

Do you think are you Brave?
Are you tough enough?
Do you have the heart of a true warrior?
and the most importantly thing, Can you ride a horse?

From the producers of Top Shot, The Ultimate Fighter and HISTORY have started looking for America’s bravest and toughest for their new competition series Full Metal Jousting. Yes, we said JOUSTING. If you are a skilled horseback rider and have the heart of a warrior, then you might have what it takes to become America’s first Full Metal Jouster and win the $100,000 grand prize.

This hard-hitting competition will recreate the raw, crushing force of hardcore jousting battles by arming 16 fierce competitors with lances, armor and a 2,000-pound war horse — all charging through an arena with one goal in mind… to become champion.

You don’t need to be an experienced jouster, but you DO need strength, determination and the desire to win. We teach you how to joust. You crush the competition.

To apply, send an email to FullMetalJousting@gmail.com with your name, phone number, a recent photo and a brief description of why you think you can be History’s first Full-Metal Jouster. Call our casting hotline if you have any questions: 818-478-4570.

This sport is a very dangerous one and thats why most people will not compete in this sport, but I am not one of those people, I will compete in this sport because its something I love and will love doing even more. I will do my 100% best. My confidence comes not from always being right but not fearing to be wrong.

On the glass-half- full side; I have a perfect smile, am very polite and quick with a witticism.
While forever injured, I am a capitalist first. That being said; I will risk even more physical battering for the chance to at monetary gain to start my homestead.
Till then, take care and remember 'twas Socrates who said: "I drank what??"

All I ask is a chance to prove myself. I have the ability to learn very quickly, and I'm very competitive. All I ask is the chance to prove myself.

I would like to be considered for Full Metal Jousting as a jouster. You can keep the initial prize money of $100,000 if I win as long as I could get a regular job doing this and be able to make a living out of doing this. I seen the show and thought that Full Metal Jousting has to be the coolest sport I've ever seen. I'm tough, can ride a horse, and although not violent I can be when needed such as for this sport. 6'1"tall 6'2" with shoes on and around 240ish lbs as of now.

  10. shelia says:

i got my first pony when i was about 9. got my first horst at 13, taught myself to ride on the 2500 acres of champion timber that was behind my parents house in texas. love to ride dont have much of an opportunity right now, im a cna in a nursing home and i think it would be great fun to learn to joust dad always said id been thrown enough to perfect how to land, this would put his theory to the test lol. and it would definately be a softer landing than the pine trees and varoius other things ive been dumped into uncerimounsely i might add.

  11. O.C. Stephens IV says:

I'm 6'3 250ibs 27 years old, all I've ever wanted was to suit up in full plate mount up on a warhorse and head into battle. I am a warrior I was born for jousting, back in highschool I was an offensive lineman and just couldn't wait for the next hit not only can I take a hit I can dishit. I am A correctional officer for the Florida Dept. Of Corrections and Platoon Sgt. For the Riot Team I have the drive,Strength and want to be The Next Champion

  12. John hoot says:

Oh and by the way if I am considered for the spot? I mean, I don't want to push myself out. But, since it's competition, I would really hope you put Travie on the show too. I'd like to take him up on his "dare" and show him that anyone can lose or win on any given day. Good luck too all… Til we meet in the lists. ;0

  13. John hoot says:

I would love to be considered for FMJ because I have the heart of a warrior, the spirit of a hunter, the build of a linebacker… ( 6'3: 230#'s) and the mind of a nobleman. It's a tough choice between John Canales and me because I would swear he's my twin or our lives are carbon copies. We are both from Texas, both involved in our church and family, he says he's handsome and I've been told the same; a lot but definitely not conceited.I grew up riding horses in youth rodeo, continued breaking them until I was 23. I think i would be considered pretty brave because for the past 19yrs. I've been climbing to the top of power poles working with electricity, either brave or a screw loose, haha. But my wife and I would go back in time in a second to live in the first days of jousting. I follow the tournament of the Phoenix, Lys argent, Worldjoust tournaments and have been begging my wife for the opportunity to to train with Jeff Hedgecock out here in california where I now live. I think I would bring a lot to the table being a laid-back, fun loving adventurous kind of man. If there is one thing I would trade carriers for, it would be jousting professionally. I can't think of a more raw-pure sport than jousting. All that being said, I just hope my age of 42 doesn't get in the way of my 30 year old mind and body. Why do I say that? Because, I chase my youth physically, but really, who wants to be a kid in the head when your over 40, right? Haha. Seriously though, I hope you would consider me.
    Thank you and……..Fight on!
    John

  14. Chris says:

I would be a great addition to the show as i have been on a horse since i was a small kid. I am a 36 yr old oilfield worker who is the toughest and most determined to win person you will find and being from Mississippi would draw a lot of local attention. I have always been intrigued by the sport of jousting and would love the opportunity to compete

  16. travie says:

there is no way you can pass me up for this, 6 foot 250lb tough nimble and aggressive, i DONT lose at anything NEVER, try me I dare you!

  17. Ryan Curtis says:

My name is Ryan. I have been in sports since the age of five. Involvement in sports competition is the ultimate "high" for me.
I played most sports in highschool, excelling in football, then going on to play Super League Rugby in college. Competition is fuel to my spirit! I have been riding horses since I was a very small boy (age 5).
I am very coachable & can learn anything.
    Im your next F.M.J. , give me a shot…

  18. justin says:

I should seriously be considered for a couple of reasons. I am as tough as it comes. I was a ex-prison correctional officer. I am a self taught martial artist that has the ability equal to any top school taught martial artist.
I should also be considered for my size.
I am 6′ 2″ and would make a big target. I can also take a blow too. I am 215 lbs and in great shape. I regularly run a couple of miles almost every day. I am 40 years old but feel like 20.
I also feel like I am a great showman.
I used to sing in a country and western band around Texas so I am comfortable in frot of an audience.
I also would bring some a little sexyness to the picture as people tell me I am a very handesom man.
I am confident I can deliver what you need as a cast member. I would love the opportunity to do just that.
One more thing: I am very involved with my church and community so once word gets out I would have a huge following to the tune of 10k right off the bat.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Best,
    John Canales
