Jennifer Lawrence and Shailene Woodley have laid out the blueprint for leading successful, female driven futuristic action films with The Hunger Games and Divergent and now the tremendously gifted Chloë Grace Moretz is set to try her hand at launching her own franchise based on a popular young adult novel. The Fifth Wave is gearing up for production and the producers and casting directors for this outstanding property are set to begin an exciting search for fresh new performers to be a part of the project. The Fifth Wave is set in a futuristic world where society has been crippled by waves of alien attacks. 16 year old Cassie Sullivan finds herself as one of Earth’s last remaining survivors and now she must find a way to endure this harsh reality and the threat of yet another attack.

Chloë Grace Moretz (The Equalizer, Dark Shadows, Hugo) will head the film alongside a supporting cast that will include Golden Globe nominee Liev Schreiber (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Scream, Twilight) Maika Monroe (Labor Day, The Guest, Bad Blood) Gabriela Lopez (Million Dollar Arm) Alex Roe (Hollyoaks, The Calling, Holby City) Lindsey Elizabeth (The Gambler, The Nest, Fathers and Daughters) and Nick Robinson (The Kings of Summer, Boardwalk Empire, Melissa & Joey). J Blakeson (The Disappearance of Alice Creed) will direct this amazing collection of acting talent from a script by Academy Award nominee Susannah Grant (Pocahontas) based on the fabulously popular novel.
