  1. My husband is 70 years old. He has been dreaming of building homes in a dome structure since he was young. He would like to build it as an energy efficient structure and environmentally friendly house made of materials that will insulate the house; makes it cooler when it is summer and warmer when it is winter. He also has the dream of building it for homeless veterans and for low income families as a contract not mortgage, just like buying a car.
He had this old and raggedy property, just sitting there for years, in Yuma St in Phoenix, AZ that he would like to remodel and start with. We live in a home and we applied for a second mortgage. I teach and my school is closing so our loan did not get through. He really was so devastated by that being turned down. He was really anticipating this loan so he can build his dream dome. He is 70 and I don't want his dream just to fade away. My husband has a big heart. He takes people to go grocery shopping when they don't have food. He gives a ride to people when they get stranded. He supports our church activities. He gives away a TV set when a family's TV set gets broken. He had lost a brother who suffered from PSTS from battling in Vietnam and a friend. His dream is a tangled mess, that's how he felt for days after we get turned down.
Please help me help my husband start building his dream.

  2. Hi my name is amaysa and I am interested in the extreme makeover home edition, how do I apply PLEASE advise

  3. My wife would be the perfect candidate. Not because she is my wife. But because she is so much to so many people. She takes care of everyone. We rent a house and are barely making ends meet. But she continues to give without reward. she gets the kids off to school every morning regardless of how tired she is. Some days if she works late she stays up until the kids are on the bus. She is active in any field trips or programs involving the kids. She has 3 biological kids. But in total 6 live in our 4 bedroomhome. Two belong to me. When i met her i was going through something with their mom and she invited us into her home with no intent of a relatiionship blooming. She got them back in school and even took the time to work with them to bring their grades up because they had missed so much school. All while dealing with her own infant daughter being hosipitalized several timesbefore she was even 6months, and trying to work and care for her own family. We devloped a relationship. In 2011 we both ended up homeless due to a violent burglary of our home in front of both of our children. We moved into a hotel and literally lost everything we owned. i lost my job due to no transportation. So we were literally homeless with five kids in tow. Sleeping from house to house on floors. Being turned away by the same family and friends we helped out. Because "there were too many of us." No matter how many times i tried to convince her that we should split up that at least someone might help her she refused to break up our family. We found a shelter to take us all in and we also got married there and still had to sleep in seperate rooms with each of our own children. It was hard on her. She was depressed for a long time. From there we went to another shelter. We both got jobs and worked our way to a place of our own. Which was only a two bedroom with us and five kids.I worked and she went to school. No support system. Her mom became ill shortly after which caused us to need a bigger place. We got what we could afford. Another two bedroom but with attic space we have separated into two bedrooms for the kids. She also was forced to take custody of a friends son who dropped him off and never showed back up. Only to find out the mother was arrested. She deserves something truley special. She has gone out of her way for people who have left her high and dry. She cares for six kids daily and a sick mother and goes to work everyday. There is always dinner and lunch on the table for us. She is very involved in the kids school. She just does so much that goes unappreciated. She talks about having a home to call her own but then gets down that we would never be able to afford it. She tries to be optimistic but she has been let down so many times. She is the strongest woman I know. I just want you to see how really special she truly isvand how much she deserves something really special to happen for her.We married  in a family shelter. with no friends or family around. she never got a honeymoon. We honeymooned at a shelter in seperate rooms. she has never been out of Virginia. Besides visiting family in Ny as a child. She has never had a vacation. Due to the fact that she will not go anywhere spectacular because she wants the kids to experience it with her. But we can not afford it. With 6 kids and a sick mother she doesnt see it in our future ever. we try to save but its always something to spend on. She makes sure the kids are needing for nothing. we cant afford to even put them in extea curricular activities after school.  Whenever i give her money and tell her not to spend it on a bill and do something for herself she takes it and spends it on the kids or sonething for the house. She is always trying to dress up the house as much as she can to make it appear nicer. she completed school for hair for a year all while living in a shelter. Currently she took a class to be an P.C.A to learn how to care for her mother. She saved for months to pay the three hundred dollars for that class. And i contributed what i could that didnt go to biLls. She only works about 20hrs a week because we cant afford daycare for almost two year old she has custody of and we cant seem to get a nurse to care for her mom. So we take turns. She opens her door and dining tables up to whoever is in need although we are already crowded in a 4 bedroom with 9 people. the attic was made into to seperate rooms for the chikdren and we take one bed room down stairs and her mother takes the other. When i say my wife is amazing i really do mean it. Our 4 ye anniversary is coming up and we have never celebrated it because she feels that any extra money should go to the kids or a bill becauae she is terrified of being homeless again. she has been through so much in her life at 27 than most people wh have lived for ever. I get down alot becuase i cant give her the world. believe me she deserves it plus a little extra. She has been taken advantage of by friends and family and she still goes out of her way to please them. its like she is not happy with herself if someone is mad at her so she does whatever they ask even if it makes her unhappy. I dont want anything    i just want something amazing to happen for her. Her alone. She never complains and is so busy helping others that she skips her own dr appointments to make sure her mom or the kids make theirs. I help when i can get off of work but it doesnt amount nearly as close to how much she does. She is happy with simple things. she always tells me A simple spa day would be like vacationing in the bahamas for her.

  4. My mom should get the makeover because she lives in a fixer upper home and welcomes everyone with open arms.she lost her son in 1993,her husband in 1997 and her grandson in 2013.she is a strong believer in God, she only gets one check a month, she helps her grandkids raise their kids, she's gets around well for her age.we been promised her that we would write you guys but was afraid because of the neighborhood we live in. She loves everybody and everyone calls her mom or grandma. It will be a blessing if you guys would help my mom. I wish I could send pictures so you can see how bad the house is. Thank you and God bless you

  5. I'm ten years old and my home caught on fire and I'm in an camper with my mom my step dad my dog and my two little sister with the ages of two and five. I need an home because I'm crowded and want my privacy. I need an home and my step dad has been laid off for like two months.

  6. My nephew Luke has OI (brittle bone disease). Luke is five years old. My brother and his wife also have a twenty four year old that is fine. They bought a 2 story 2 bedroom home thinking that they was only having one child. And then 19 years later here came Luke. He has such a big heart for such a little man. If you say you have a headache he will say I'll pray for you. He loves everyone. Well even though his brother no longer lives in the home it makes it hard for Luke to go up and down the steps to his bedroom and also to the bathroom. They need a bedroom and bathroom downstairs for him. Luke is now walking. The doctors said he never would. But he is a very determined young man. He has to have a nail put in his leg on July 15th 2015. It will be very difficult to get him up and down the steps and also very hot for him in the house with no air condition. My brother and Sister n law do the best they can. We have been blessed with Luke just need a little help making the house a little easier for Luke to get around and safer.

  7. Hi my name is Anjanique, and I nominate my grandmothers home whom is 60 years of age. My grandmother has always been a hard working woman but since she's not able to work any more she can't keep up with her home. Myself, along with my daughter who is 1 months old are currently living with her. The house was built in 1906 but she has owned and lived in it since 1970. It's a 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom house (actually four but we had to make a bedroom but it's like an ice box no matter what time of year). Roof leaks all the time, mold, out to date wiring and plumbing, weak flooring, ect. My grandmother deserves a Better home in which she can be comfortable in while living. If we could fix everything, we would. Please pick us it would mean the world to her.

  8. Greetings ABC! I Really don't know where to begin, but what comes to mind is something my mother said to me a long time ago when I was a very young girl, in response to me asking "Mom, what would you like to do?". My mother, named Cynthia so kindly and compassionately stated "I just want to help people". At the time I did not understand the answer to my question, because I felt my mom was so general in her answer. But as I have grown, I reflect back often on that gracious interaction between mother and daughter and I now realize exactly why my mother made that statement. For I have come to a time in my life where I say "I just want to help people." And it is this commission that leads me to graciously and humbly ask you to please help my Bishop and his wife. They are a couple who consistenly pour out to the people they shephard and they consistently have to seek help to care for the building where they hold services. They also are trying to preserve the first building, which is a place to help others who need a place to live and fellowship. I know there are so many stories in this world, and I wish one word could resolve all. But I will start somewhere and I will say please help me to help another.
Thank you for your time. And I wish you well in your continuance to make a difference in the lives of people.

  9. I nominate my family. My fiancee, 4 girls, and I had a house fire December 13, 2014. We lost all of our Christmas presents and other stuff do to the fire. We kept all of our furniture but getting in our storage all of our belongings smell like smoke. The house had severe smoke damage. Our 3 youngest girls, my fiancee, and arestaying in our camper. Our camper is nice but it's very cramped especially with all girls. Our oldest girl she is 16 and staying with her grandma because there is not enough room at the camper for her. We do own 2 acres of property that we are trying to put a double wide on but there is also something. We have been trying since February to a home for our girls. The 10 and 6 year old grades have fallen because we don't have a stable home. Please pick us. It's the end of the school year help start 2015-2016 school year with a new home

  11. Good afternoon. I am wanting to nominate my father in law for the home makeover. He just purchased a home for him, his wife and her mother. This family has went through a lot. My father in law has been in and out of the hospitals for over a year. He was diagnosed with MRSA. it has been an uphill battle everyday. This past week he had to have 3 toes removed due to his illness. He is a great man and we would love to fix this home up for him before he is released out of the hospital. Thank you so much and God Bless you!!

  12. I would like to nominate my 4 kids. My name is Kim Allen and my fiance, Guy Beauchamp, instead of planning our wedding this year we our trying to get a home for our 4 kids. I have an older son who is 20 and doesn't live with us. Our girls' ages are 16,10,6, and 2. December 13 we had a house fire that was so bad that we had to move everything out to repair. We had rented this house for 10 years. Absolutely heart breaking to our girls. I had back surgery August of 2013 and not I'm disable and can not work. Guy is the sole provider in our house. We have property that we have been trying to get loan to put a mobile home but we have issue as why we can not. As of right now we have a permanent site for a camper and that is where the 3 younger girls, Guy, and I are stating. Our 16 year is staying with my mom because it is too cramped at the camper. Since the fire our 16 has dropped out of school. Our 10 and 6 years grades have dropped. We would seat down every night and eat as a family. We don't have a table and chairs in the camper. So the kids eat on their beds and we stand up to eat. I feel as failure to my kids. They no longer have stability and security. Please help my children.

  13. Hi ABC! My name is Thulile Ndamonde from South Africa. I love your show and I watch it as often as I can. I and my sister live with our grandmother who is only a pensioner. We woul really love you to do an extreme make over to our house and I think it really needs this make over and it will make us happy and our granny to because she has never had anything special in her life and this is a great opportunity to give her one. Thanks

  14. My name is Karen. My parents would really benefit from a complete home renovation. They have worked hard all their lives and still go to work daily in their 80's. Their home hasn't had a toilet that works for the last 2 years, and they haven't had the resources to fix anything in their home since it was built about 40 years ago. The roof is not keeping water out anymore, there is mold and rot in the house. Please consider helping them out – I think it would be great to have them in a safe, warm and dry home. My Mom doesn't have good mobility anymore, so accommodations that would make her life easier would be so greatly appreciated.

  15. Hello ABC and Ty,

I would like to enter my son, Ramon Gifford, and his family for a Home Makeover.

He is a 35 year old incomplete quadriplegic who is confined to his wheelchair 95% of the time. He was injured in a 18-wheeler accident when he and his co-driver hit a slick spot on the Highway and flipped the rig. His only income is Social Security and Worker's Compensation. Since then, his wife has divorced him and he is raising 3 children, now 15, 13 and 12 years old.

His bedroom and bathroom floor has caved in due to water damage that was not noticed. There is black mold in the crawlspace and on the walls with massive lumber damage. He has found out that for some "unknown reason" the home passed "inspection" but the mold was there long before that. The insurance company refuses to pay for repairs, stating that it was not built to code.

To top it off, the 15-year-old suffers from continuous migraines of unknown origins (suspicion is the mold).

He wants to pursue College as either a Math Teacher or Library Assistant, but his dream has always been architecture.

  17. Hello! I would like to nominate my mother Karen for this opportunity. She and I moved out to a small centennial farmstead in the rural countryside of North Dakota about 5 years ago, coming up here in June. We moved here under not the most ideal situations. Me having just graduated from high school and her just having gotten divorced. I was coming to North Dakota for College and she had originally grown up in the state she decided that we would move here together permanently since there was nothing keeping her in CO anymore. We moved here without having ever seen the house and had no images or way of knowing how good of shape it would be in, but we had no choice but to come whether it was livable or not. When we got here 2 days later after driving one 26' UHaul and a 30' horse trailer with a large variety of different farm animals from goats and chickens to cats and dogs in toe. The place was livable but had its problems. Over the last 5 years we have been trying our best to keep it in living condition but now as 5 years wains on; the foundation is falling apart, the roof is leaking in multiple spots, both sets of stairs are death traps, the windows are in poor condition, the entry way is literally collapsing, the garage windows are all but gone, one of the barns has more holes in it than swiss cheese and the quansite is starting to sag in the middle. I just this month graduated from college and have no way to financially help repair the house and Mom is unemployed due to health problems. She is a Desert Storm Veteran and has a hard life and I feel like it's finally time she have something in good condition and safe in her life.

  18. You don't know till you ask, right?!? Anyway, my name is Sheena I am doing this for my parents. Well they don't know. They live in a very old house, it was built in the 1920's. The house was originally my great grandmothers. When she got sick my grandmother moved in to take care of her. She passed and my grandmother bought the house. It was hers for many years. I can remember coming here as a child and all of the cousins would sleep on the dining room floor. Oh good times! Anyway when my grandmother passed the house went into her estate to her 5 girls. My mom wanted to keep the house. So the sisters agreed to let my parents move in and work on their credit to buy the house. This is still on going, has been for 7 years now. My parents are very giving and thoughtful people. They have helped my siblings and myself so many times I've lost track. Right now I am loving with my parents again at 31 after my second divorce. My father has recently lost his job and my mom drives a school bus. They have been given notice after notice to get their house painted. I am slowly working on it, but it takes time. I work for an Animal Clinic in Forney as a beginner groomer and I love it. I ask for them only because they are getting older and the house is slowly falling apart around them. I would love to be able to afford to do a lot more for them but I can't. I spend most of what I make to visit my 3 boys whom I don't see very often cause they live 4 hours away. My parents love this house, I would hate to see them loose it for any reason, wether it be by siblings or the city. I just ask and pray for help. Thank you for your consideration. Sheena!

  21. Hi my name is April Daniel's and I'm telling you this because we have been struggling see our land lord was a coward he took out our A.C. for no reason and if I get to hot my nose will start bleeding so we moved with my aunt april we lived with them from August to February and then my mom messed it up so then we had to leave and we left. We went to my aunt Phillis house from February to April and from the last couple of months we have been from house to house over and over we been to 12 homes in the last month and im tired of seeing my momma struggleing so we really need it there is no place for us to call home no more we are living every were so I hope yall can help us

  22. We are a family of 7, there is myself, my husband, and our 5 beautiful children ages 7,4,3,12 and 10 months. Our oldest child has biliary atresia a liver disease, that has caused us to have to home school him and try to keep him healthy as possible due to his compromised immune system.
We currently rent a house that we pay $2500.00 a, month for rent which is all exclusive which is really great in the North Pole area that we reside. However a month after moving into the house we were informed that the house was in the process of being foreclosed, which raised a lot of emotion as to what our family was supposed to do at that point, due to the home owner not being forth coming about the situation the house was in, prior to us moving in. Well due to us moving in and paying our deposit and first month’s rent allowed the home owner to save the house, and we were able to continue to stay in the home. We have been here for a year and a half and have come to the same situation again, where the home owner has fallen on hard times for whatever reason weather the economy or personal life situations, all I know is she is unable to make the mortgage payments again and the house is being threaten to go into foreclosure again. our family has fallen on hard times due to me having to let my job go due to health issues that was a life and death situation, while pregnant with our last child last year, which caused us to have to apply for state assistance although we were already considered a low income family and receiving housing assistance. But even with all the struggles that my family has had to endure when it comes to finances we have always paid our portion of the rent on time and have great rental history from past landlords. And now the concern comes into play weather or not we will have to move? And if we should have to move then we are responsible to cover the cost of that move, and everyone knows that in Alaska moving from one rental place to another is very costly due to most landlords requiring first and last month’s rent and deposit and because we have dogs there is usually an extra pet deposit on top of that which could cost us well over $ 6000.00 just to move for a family our size. And now that I am back at working, I am working for a temp agency where I make 15.00 an hour which makes it pretty hard to save up 6000.00 dollars to move, when all of my pay check goes to paying all the other bills where we live now.
We are fun loving family that most people are in amazement when they see us because we are not your typical "African American"family, all of our children are by me and my husband and we actually live as a family. When we go to the store, restaurants or anywhere people are always commenting on how beautiful our family is. We are truly blessed to have each other and would be even more blessed to have a home that we could feel comfortable calling our own and not worry about where we are gonna live with our children. Winter here is very cold and having 5 children having an unstable living situation is not ideal. Please consider our family for this great and amazing blessing that you all are about to bestow on a family. 🙂

  23. Hello, my name is PJ Ashbaugh and and I need you're help me and my mom can't afford to fix the problems that are going wrong with the house, because we live month to month and all the money go towards paying the bills, so we have no money to fix the problems with the house. In 2013 my dad pasted away cause of a infection on his lung that grew and 5 month ago my uncle pasted away cause of heart disease. It would be really helpful if you could help us fix up our house cause that would take a lot of stress it is causing off my mom and me. Thank you for listening and I really hope to hear back from you

  24. I would like to start by saying I have a amazing sister that will do anything for anyone. She spend so much time helping others that she seems to forget about herself. She has a wonderful 9 year old little girl that she takes care of by herself. Then her father had health problems and she moved him in to take care of him. She lives by her grandmother who she also takes care of because health problems she can't hardly walk so she takes her everywhere she has to go and does here shopping for her. She also works a full time job to support her family. Then on March 8 her best friend passed away and she had a little girl. So she took the little girl in and is raising her as her own but her house is to small for her growing family and needs a lot of work done to it. She was determined to get the little girl because she did not want her to go to foster care. I just want her to be thought of for once instead of her always thinking of everyone else. She does all she can do without ever asking for anything in return. So all I ask is that she just be able to lay down at night and rest not worry about how to afford the next repair. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you
    E. Crosby

  25. Our house could really need a makeover. My husband passed away in 2013 and we have been unable to make any repairs. We just can't afford it as we live on less than $800 a month. This house was my husbands dream for us. My two sons and I do our best and by the grace of God we are surviving. We could just use some help. Thank you for listening.

  26. I am hoping to get my aunt Cricket a better living situation. My aunt is a very helpful individual she has always been there for me. I'm a full tim3 college student and when I told her I don't have clothes to go to school she gave me the clothes that she had. My aunt also has been there for the family, and community. About four years ago she got her badly at work causing her to have multiple surgeries leaving her disabled and not able to work. Still yet she always people to live in her home including myself at a moments notice. Before her injuries she would always make donations to children in need in Africa, she would travel with her church taking money out her own pocket to feed and clothed children in different parts of the world. She is one whom would have to stay in pain to make sure we could eat on a daily basis instead of buying her medication which she really needs. There are a lot of things that need to be fixed in the home that we just can't afford… Not to mentioned we(my aunt and myself) are very asthmatic. I wish I had more aunts like her in this world. I feel as through if my aunt had a better living situation she could take her medications on time and not be in pain. So I ask you ABC, Extreme Home Makeover to please consider my aunt cricket to be part of the show… And if we are not choosen I ask that a special prayer be sent up for my aunt… I thank you for your time to read my story!

  27. Hey, My name is Nikita Carter from Lancaster California. I watched your shows a lot. And I tired to recreate the makeover for the house i'm leaving in. But its very hard too. I live in a 3 bedroom house with my grandpa and uncle and my brother and his girlfriend and her daughters. And a year ago my grandpa's daughter and kids and dogs and husband moved in. and Its very complicated, to keep a nice house that i wouldn't be ashamed of too show my friends, but my grandpas daughter and kids that moved in.. they all stay in my room. did i forget i'am adopted granddaughter and so they all stay in my room.. and my uncle he uses the grudge as a smoke room and that's the laundry room as well. I've tried getting a job, but most places aren't hiring. my grandpa he's 82 and i know he doesn't work to pay for a new house and my uncle isn't really helping support him for letting them stay here, but i just want my room back and clean house. Please help me.

  28. I so desperately needed a better way for my grandmommy to retire and enjoy we recently lost grandaddy and grandma keeps holding on please help me help for start over and she still work's help her get ready to finally retire

  29. Hello,
My family is in desperate need of help. My father is a veteran and has been out of work for 8 years. We lost our house in 2008, lived in a motel for a few weeks and then moved to a cockroach-infested apartment. There were 7 of us at the time and my mother was pregnant. We eventually moved into another apartment, nicer but not a home. Finally a friend of a friend let us rent out a house for a reasonable price but they ended up losing the house and before we knew it we had a new owner who raised the rent. With a family of a 8 living off of food stamps, unemployment, cash aid and retirement pension the slight raise the new owner implemented was just too much. After a month it was clear we wouldn't be able to sustain ourselves. Within 2 weeks we moved out. But we had nowhere to go, so half my family and our pets went to go stay with my mom's sister and my sister, father and I staying with my brother. But it quickly became clear my aunt didn't want my family there. She began abusing our pets and ignoring my siblings and mother. So after going to the trouble of moving my siblings to a different school we had to bring them back. The VA paid to have us stay in a motel for a week but after the week they said we had to stay in a shelter. A shelter simply is no place for us and our pets, so we're all back at my brother's. But he is being evicted from him home and has 2 months left here. So after these 2 months I don't know where to be.
I am a college student just trying to graduate, but instead I'm homeless and just want my family to have a home and some stability.
    Please help us.

  34. Hello, I'd like to nominate my father. Tim Dalton. He has no idea I'm doing this and has way to much pride to ever ask for help. Hes a wonderful man and has worked hard for everything he has. Unfortunately he is such a giving man that he is now having a extremely hard time getting by. He owns an auto body shop in my home town that he has built from the ground up and because he's such a caring person he lets people who don't have the kind of money they need to have their cars fixed, he alot of the time does work for free. He's a home town celebrity and everyone loves him but because of his generosity his home is taking the brunt of it. His house is all he has. It's all he worked for and after 55 years of life he was just able to buy his first house 10 years ago. It kills him to see it crumble under him. My boyfriend and I live with him and try to help but there is only so much we can do. He's such a giving man I'd like to give him something in return. This would give him hope again that good guys don't finish last. Please help him

  36. Hello! My 15 year old daughter, MeKayla Gist, has become a local celebrity, not only because she is a smart and loveable girl, but because of this awful disease that has taken over her life and has taken away her left leg. MeKayla has Osteosarcoma which is a cancer that was found in her left knee. She recently had to have an above the knee amputation of her left leg. MeKayla is a 10th grader who was #6 in her class academically, has been on the Colorguard and Wintergaurd Team for 4 years, and on the Yearbook Staff at her high school. MeKayla Gist, the Princess Warrior, as she has been named by FaceBook Members, has such a sweet spirit and personality. She is known for her strength, positivity, and being an inspiration to others. But she is known most of all for her smile that she keeps on her face at all times even through the hardest chapter of her young life.
Due to the amputation, MeKayla's life has changed dramatically and we are adapting as best we can. But, MeKayla is need of a computerized prosthetic leg and some updates to her bedroom that we are currently unable to afford due to paying hospital, lab, physician, and other medical bills. She needs a wider entrance for her bedroom door as well as a handicap accessible bathroom built onto her bedroom.
We are asking for any help or guidance that you could provide to MeKayla and our family. She is currently sill undergoing chemotherapy for 10 more weeks and then more scans to determine if she is completely cured. Thank you for your review and consideration in helping our 15 year old's life a little easier.

  38. My grandmother's house has 30 year old carpet in the yard home made fences in the front the supports on the porch have rotten out no central ac installation . hot water fuse blows out every six months or sooner the closest doors have wood frames which are all off track inside the closest the wood has the worst termite damage. old pine tree in the front seems to drop thousands of these pieces of pine branches. back yard has green stupp it's 5% grass. it is going to cost a fortune to bring it up to code. the side window can not be opened put in incorrect and if it's opened it breaks, carpet also on the side of the house looks like black mold. Can somebody help me. A self put up closet in the front bedroom you have to see it for yourself wooded frame and material made for a door. wiring needs to be replaced out of date fuse box. some times i think something electrical may start a fire. I can not afford right now to fix anything needs paint inside and outside.I moved back last October to my grandmother"s hous and she recently died a little over a month ago and every day I come out the door I think to myself if I culd just get grandma's house fixed up i"d feel better. I saw the show once everything looked so beautiful I refused to watch the show anymore. I realized it could never be me. I did not want to expect something I could not get. it makes it bearable. I am writing hoping this letter gets to the right person. I want to believe that sometimes really good things happened to me. When my son died I stayed at my grandmother's house to get through it. When my son was born I had to come and stay with my grandmother for 30 days until she cleared me she was my mother, my grandmother and my friend. Now that she is gone it hurts I lost 3 parts of my life when she died. I grew up in my grandmother's house. When my Dad got out of the airforce he came back home to my grandmother. He came back and got me from my mother to raise me. Well since it was something he was not familiar in my grandmother took on the role. He was there every day for her and me but it was Grandma that took on the role of my mother. I probably remember finding my mother and visiting maybe six times in my whole life after i left at 4. Maybe I should not get my hopes up. So starting over with a new job behind in all the bills still playing catch up. My granmother always told me nothing beat a fail but a try, she died at 97 years old.

  39. My name is Megan and I'm writing this for my 53-year-old mother who lives on her own in a huge house that is slowly falling into disrepair. The house is located in Southeastern Kentucky where my four siblings and I was born and raised as was my mother and her parents. The house she is living in once belonged to my grandparents who bought it around 15 years ago. A short time after they bought the house, it was discovered that my grandmother's previous breast cancer, in remission for 14 years, had come back with a vengeance having metastasized to her brain, bones, and lungs. She only got to live in the house for about a year before she passed away. My mother, being the only college educated child of 7 children in her family, was a nurse and stayed by my grandma's bedside and literally slept in the same room for months to help her out and keep her comfortable for as long as she lived until she slipped into a coma and passed away. My mother is the youngest child in her family and my grandma was her best friend. My grandfather continued to carry on for another 12 years in a house too big for him. My mother and my siblings continued to stay with him on and off for years up until the day he died. In the time since my grandmother's death he survived a heart attack and a bypass surgery that replaced 5 of his major arteries. He was 76 years old then. When he was 83 a cancerous growth was found one of his kidneys. He had surgery to remove the kidney and was told he was cancer free. While in the hospital he was ignored, his doctors weren't collaborating on his case, and he was treated unkindly. The only reason he continued to live was because my mother had medical know how and, just as she did for my grandma, stayed by his side and chased down doctors and made decisions. She took him to all of his doctor appointments and drove him anywhere else he needed to go. She was even told by a doctor that if she hadn't made decisions she made, he would've died already. Once he was finally discharged from the hospital, my mother slept on the floor of his room for the last five months of his life on a twin sized mattress dragged from one of the bedrooms upstairs. She saw to his medication intake and continued to take him to all of his appointments and make food for him and made sure he ate it. He got sicker despite the doctors' reassurances that he was cancer free. He saw a specialist at Vanderbilt University who tested and found a mass growing in his abdomen too close to his spinal cord to biopsy. They told him it was cancer. Despite this cancer diagnosis, his white cell count continued to climb which is uncharacteristic of cancer. My mom kept pushing the doctors for another opinion. More testing found that he didn't actually have cancer, but a proliferative disease from the previous surgery. It was curable. Really, it was more complicated than that. The medication he was taking to cure this disease was raising his potassium levels which caused considerable stress on his heart. Where it all fell apart was when my mother's siblings chose to then take charge and soomehow get my poor, sick grandpa to sign over power of medical attorney. They then decided it was too late to save him and they had him discharged from the hospital and Hospice moved in a bed that was too small for him and took him off all of his medication. His blood turned to sludge and his remaining kidney couldn't filter any waste so he wasn't in his right mind. He was transported to a "passionate care facility". When they had decided to take him to the hospital again he died waiting for an ambulance. He died two months after his 84th birthday. The same relatives so came up with a forged will that would leave my mom with nothing which included a roof over her head. When I was still a child my mother was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and had to go on disability. my grandparents helped support her and us to make sure we had everything we needed. My mother and her siblings are have been locked in a battle over the will since his death two years ago and it doesn't look like it will end anytime soon. The winter after my grandpa's death was very hard. A pipe burst in the bathroom upstairs. My mother only found out about it when the entire dining room ceiling came down as well as parts of the ceiling in two other bedrooms. Two years later there is still no ceiling and no carpet in the rooms that were damaged. In the bathroom where the pipe burst, there is no floor and a section of the wall is missing where the pipe shards had to be removed and replaced. The water heater also gave out and a new one was put in but not by a professional. The dishwasher also gave out. The family dog, my grandpa's constant companion developed cancer after he passed and had to have leg amputated. When the cancer spread, my mom had to put th doc down. That happened on her 53rd birthday. The monthly disability my mother is allotted barely covers the electric bill for this house. She blames herself for all the things happening to this house. All I want is for her to live somewhere where she's happy and no longer miserable. Even if this means fixing up the house in order to sell it. My mother is stubborn and hates asking for help. So I'm doing it for her. I love my mother. She doesn't deserve to live like this for all that she's done to help out family. Thank you.

  41. Hi my name is Adrian. I'm 18 years old and I got pregnant when I was 15 so I had to grow up fast and take care of my daughter. She means the world to me,growing up I had a rough life never really had much and 8 of us lived in a 2 bedroom trailer. When I had my daughter I lived with my mom until I was 17 she helped me as much as she could with only assistance from the state. Now I'm living with my daughter and my boyfriend. We live in a 2 bedroom apartment and my boyfriends mom pays our rent every month because we can't find jobs where we're living and don't have money to move where we want to. Also living with us is my grandpa he's 61 and I take care of him. He's not doing very good but I do my best taking care of my daughter and grandpa. They mean the world to me. Having a new home would mean the world to us. We could find a job and start fresh. And I would not have to see my daughter go through what I had to growing up. Thank you! If you could help us that would be amazing and a dream come true.

  42. Hi, my name is Samantha Johnson and I would like for my grandparents home to be rebuilt. My grandmother had a stroke about four years ago, she cannot speak or walk, and she's paralyzed on her right side. Their house is falling apart, the floors are falling in, the roof is falling in in some rooms it leaks extremely bad when it rains I mean there's holes/ gaps in the roof. The house isn't wheel chair accessible she can barley to to the rest room, they have to sleep in the living room. My grandmother sleeps in her hospital bed, and my grandfather sleeps on the couch just to be next to her. they raised me and my sister, which my sister is still living there and is in high school. Me and my finance and our three month old baby moved in with them to help out because its hard on my grandfather. We seen the struggle he goes through everyday and just couldn't let him do it alone, it's a tiny house and they need help, they need to be able to lay down at night with no worries beside each other there own room and privacy. It's sad being on the outside looking in, I just hope and pray that this happens for then, they done so much for me and my sister, they raised us and fed us kept that same roof over our head for many years and I would just like to give back to them. So please consider this offer! From the bottom of my heart, it's needed if you see the home and condition it's in you would understand thank you for your time and consideration it's appreciated dearly.
    Sincerely, Samantha Johnson

  44. I would like to nominate my grandmother. She's one of the greatest people I know, in September will be 9 years my grandpa has passedaway and she needs a little attention I feel. My grandmother is the type of person to give you the shirt off her back, and in return I would like to do something special for her, she has an older style home which is very large just for her, and it's a challenge for her to keep cleaned, my husband and I try to keep up on the repairs, and can be difficult at times as we live almost 2 hours away and both of us work, and during the week our child goes to school. I'm not sure about how the show works but we are willing to put 110% effort.

  45. Hello! My husband and I chose and odd living situation 10 years ago when we bought our house. We bought the house WITH my parents and for 10 years it has worked out wonderfully! We initially chose this living situation because we have twin boys and one of our sons, Jake, was sick for the first 4 years of his life. Therefore, we were in and out of the hospital for 4 years and moving with my parents helped alleviate a lot of the stress that comes with having a sick child and we always had a built-in babysitter to help with my other son when we had to make midnight trips to the ER with my son that was sick. Now that my parents are older, and my kids are older (13 years old boys) we are finding things to be getting very cramped. No one has enough room for storage, we are in desperate need of repair work/upgrades around the house that we just can;t afford to take care of right now. I want my parents to be happy and thank them for making this move with us. Without them, we would have never made it. My Dad is over 70 and still working very hard but I know they both would like more privacy, room etc. I feel like this could be done and make it a place where we all can feel happy and I can take care of my parents as they get older in hopes of us all staying together in this house. I thank you for your time and consideration!

  48. My name is Angela and I am a widow who is supporting my 2 daughter's and 6 grandchildren. My husband and I bought this house in 2001 with the intention of remodeling it. We worked on it a little at a time. Then in 2003 my husband had really bad accident falling 30 feet thru the scaffolding. He did a lot of damage to his upper body.Bobby was his name and he was a carpenter. On the day he was to be released from the hospital Bobby had a pulmonary embolism and had to have emergency surgery. He made it thru. Then in January 2004 Bobby had a heart attack and stroke and that was the end of him ever being able to do what he loved and that was work. From that moment until he passed away January 14 2014 he was in a wheelchair. He never gave up you would see him in his wheelchair working in the yard constantly busy. Now our daughter's fell on hard times each having 3 children a piece. They live with me in a house that half of it we can't live in there are 4 children in a small bedroom, my two daughters and the two youngest children are in what use to be my dinning room and I sleep on a couch in my living room. We so need help in having this house repaired and added on to. If you folks could find it in your hearts to help us we would so appreciate it. I have worked hard all my life and for the first time I am asking for help with something I can not do. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Sincerely Angela

  49. My sister does not know that I am writing this. She has always longed for a better home and I want to help her have one. She had a rough start in life growing up with a father (not my father though) who abused her so badly that she won a spot on Montel's show. As a teen she gave birth to a baby whom she agreed to give up for adoption. After the adoption, she longed to know her daughter but only received information about her years later after her tragic death from an automobile accident. She was able to keep her next daughter, born a few years later, but discovered when she was 17 that she had Cystic Fibrosis. All of her daughter's coughing episodes had been misdiagnosed as asthma. Fortunately, though, her daughter was able to give birth to a boy. Unfortunately, he also has CF. My sister is the full-time caregiver for her grandson because her daughter (who is now 26 and may not make it another year) is unable to care for him. My sister and her husband live in a tiny house in Smyrna, Georgia, that is little better than a dilapidated trailer. She longs every day for a better home but must spend all of her effort on caring for her grandson. She doesn't know a way to improve her situation. I would LOVE to find a way to give her a decent home that would comfort her during her daily struggles and sacrifices.

  50. Hi- my name's Tanya Johnson. I live in rural Wisconsin. My husband and I have three great kids. The youngest of which is named Mordecai (Momo). Momo was born three months early, weighing 1 lb., 12 oz. Mordecai means Warrior in Hebrew, and that is what our boy has been since birth. He has had 18 brain surgeries, including two craniotomies, he has three brain shunts and hydrocephalus, he had heart surgery to save his lungs (PDA ligation), he has had eye surgery, and other various surgeries, yet this boy gives light to everyone he sees and comes across. He loves to sing and scoot, and push the limits that doctors have set on him. He is diagnosed with epilepsy and quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Our problem: we live in a less than 900 sq. ft. Home that has only two bedrooms. His epilepsy is aggravated by sleep disruptions, so my two other children share one bedroom while I co-sleep with Mordecai (night status seizures are common and hard to catch with him), so my poor husband has been sleeping on the pull-out couch bed for over a year to help Mordecai's health along. Mordecai has NO room for the recommended medical equipment, such as a stander, gait trainer, or wheelchair. My mother and father-in-law did something amazing for us. They purchased an old church for $7000 that is close to 3000 sq. ft. After our house sells, they are gifting it to us. We have started gutting it- it needs LOTS of work. It has sat empty for seven years. There is leakage issues in the basement where rooms would be located, we need to put studded walls in, a new ramp will have to be built, the brick building needs repair and sealing, it needs a new roof, gutters, and fascia. We have to construct a kitchen and several bathrooms from scratch. We are working hard using the resources that we have now, and have even made a gofundme.com/Momohome page to help with cost. Someone sent us this link, and well, having this load lifted off our shoulders would be such a blessing. There are many deserving people that have written, and the choice would be tough. So why pick my family? Because we could really use the blessing and would enjoy having a large weight lifted off our shoulders. We would be so grateful. Mordecai would have his home set for life. I wouldn't have to worry about caring for him. What a treasure. We could buy Mordecai's equipment and have room for it! Mordecai would be minutes away from medical attention instead of waiting for over half an hour for first responders. I know that you all would do the work right, and besides, wouldn't a church redo make a fabulous show 🙂 The space is gorgeous! 🙂 Thanks so much for reading and considering- may God bless you!

  51. Hi, I live in Ormond Beach, Fl. Presently I'm living in New Orleans because my home is not livable. I was fired from my job in 2010 became homeless and received a letter in 2011,saying my home in Florida was paid off. 54. Love of my life, when I met my wife, we feel in love instantly. unfortunately due to the laws of where we live we had to go to another state to get married with that being said we started our life together a little rocky because there was little support I moved into her 2 bedroom home with two children in which sea instantly fell in love with but between my children and the dogs there is not enough room here in our home she really wants me to be a stay at home mom but it's really hard for me to do that when I know I really need to work to help us get a bigger home. we are in desperate need of adding another room to our home but we do not have the finances to do so. my wife works full time at a very good job but its just not enough.

  55. hello Ty and ABC, my name is Geanie Hoekstra,my friends all call me DeeDee this makeover is not for me but for my daughter and my son in law Autumn and David Johnson.. they have no idea I am trying to get them a makeover and help with the little house. they've been together 14 years since she was 15 and he was 17. ,when they got married they didn't even get to go on a honeymoon, but it hasn't been an easy 14 years for them they've had to move a lot due to financial difficulties and they've had a major tragedy along the way they lost their first child a few days before he was born, they named him Gavin. and that was 11 years ago but since then they have been blessed with 2 beautiful little girl after trying for 7 years and being told she could never have any more children, their oldest daughters name is Ryleigh she's 4 years old and another beautiful little girl her name is Jordan and she's 2 and believe it or not they've got another beautiful little girl on the way she's due in just a few weeks, but about 3 years ago they got an opportunity to buy a house,a definite fixer upper and I try to help whenever I can but since December I haven't been able to help much because I take care of my mom who is 88 years old and now I'm taking care of my sister who has stage 4 liver and colon cancer, so my time is really cut short.. it was good when it was just the three of them but now 900 square feet just is not big enough for 5 people and they had been doing a lot of work to it and remodeling and they still have a very long way to go with the house so Ty and ABC can you please help my daughter and son-in-law with their little house to give the three beautiful little girls a nice home that is warm and safe for them. thank you.. Dre Dee,

  56. Hello,
My name is Lori. Myself and a friend of mine are hosting a tricky tray on July 5th, 2015 at the local VFW hall in East Stroudsburg, pa for a local family who's world has turned upside down. They are a wonderful family.

I want to tell you about a father of four,
Kevin has Plasmacytoma/Multiple Myloma of an unknown nature. It is an incurable cancer. They have removed part of his spine and replaced it with Rods, cages and screws. But now it has spread to his blood marrow. Kevin is the only one in medical history to have it this way. He is now terminal and is being studied by several hospitals. he has always been a very hard working man and spent the better part of two decades as a youth coach, he worked for approx. 20 years at a camp for underprivileged children and was also a volunteer first responder. He and His wife Judy have always been there for the community in every way possible.
Judy has had to quit her job as a school bus driver to stay home and become Kevin's caregiver. The bills have spun out of control. The mortgage and the taxes are putting their home in jeopardy. They have a roof that is leaking. They are about to lose their home that Kevin has worked so hard for for his family to have. Please please help us help Kevin keep a roof over his families head, and give back to this wonderful family who has given so much to so many in the local community.
Thank you for taking the time to read about the Alpaugh family.

  57. Hello,

I would love to nominate my mother and father in law, they are great people who have just had a very hard time in life, my father in law is just about to lose his job of 15 or more years and he may be loseing his pension as well, he only had 2 years left before he could retire, it just seems they can never catch a break.

They live in a single wide trailer home that is very old and just about to fall down they raised 4 girls there and they are all very smart thanks to their mother taking so much time with each of them. They still have a 16 year old daughter in school and again she is very smart and being raised good even though the conditions are not good. After one of my sister in laws was done college she moved back home so there are 4 of them in this trailer that is falling apart you need to click a button for the hot water and it freezes all the time, you can see right through the bottoms of the front door and the roof is really starting to go, I'm scared that it will not last another winter.

My father in law is very handy and always helps anyone in need including myself and my wife when we lived in Cape Breton I am so greatful for them and so blessed to have them in my life, I just want to see them comfortable they only need a small house and they would probably shoot me (just joking) if they knew that I was writing this, I can't imagine anyone more deserving then my mother and father in law to receive the gift of a new home.

Thank you so much and God bless
    Scott Horsman

  58. I am a mother of 3 girls. I live with my father In a house my grandfather built. He died before I had gotten to meet him and my father is in a tie right now to sell the house because it's to much money that he doesn't have to fix it up. This house has so much sentimental value here it hurts me to even think about selling the place. My grandma was a pack rat so all the rooms were filled up with stuff until we cleaned 2 out of 4 rooms out. There is mold in the bathroom, wall paper is peeling. My dad is such a kind hearted man he always helps my moms family when they are in need even though they are not together. And he has 2 more years until he retires. This would be so great If we win this amazing experience. My father would be so greatful. We have 20 acres of land. We can't even afford fencing at the moment. My dad has had an home invasion and been robbed and separate occasions. please help us keep our house. I want my kids to know where their mom grew up at.My father has to sleep on the couch because he let's his granddaughters have their own room and let's me have mine as well. We are in the middle of cleaning his room we've been cleaning his room for over 2 years now. My grandma had so much stuff in their and my dad can't get alot of days off we've been holding it off. Are front yard is dirt we have no grass. They're spiders coming in through the central air biting my children. We live in a real bad city stockton ca. Bless you and I hope you at least get to read this. Thank you for your time.

  59. Not sure if you are accepting people from Canada. I am in my second marriage with a wonderful woman and my own private nurse. I am having some serios health issues, heart attack in 1997 when I turned 50, I then had a total right hip replacement. One year later I was diagnosed with a rare type of leukemia called Chronic Mylogenous Leukemia CML for short. I was a half decent athlete playing all the sports I could baseball, badminton, broomball, hockey , soccer and ran track for many years. Long distance running was a specialty but the heart attack cut me down then the hip and of course the CML. Unfortunately it doesn't stop there I also contracted peripheral disease in my two legs and they both may have to come off at the knee eventually. We have a nice home on the water here in Mattawa, Ontario, Canada. We spent over $12,000.00 to renovate a bathroom in the downstairs so that I could shower downstairs. My wife is still working in the DR.s office a couple days of the week. I am retired and just in the last 3 years I was an Ontario Provincial Policeman volunteering for 30 years . I am having a hard time doing anything around our house because it is 2 storys high. I still can hobble around with a cane or two or my walker. I wish that we could have a ranch style home so I would not have to climb stairs and its going to be very difficuly in the future to get around the home probably in a wheel chair. I want to thank you people in advance for what you have done for the folks in the past. I remain, Mark LaRush

  60. Hi my name is Cali, I am 16 years old. I have a very large family, my mother and father have 12 children total, 10 of which live in our 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house. My parents have adopted a total of 9 children. They are the most amazing parents and do everything they can for all of us. But we have had a problem for the past 5 years we developed a problem with bed bugs about 5 years ago and my parents have struggled tremendously. They have spent thousands of dollars trying to get rid of this problem, it has gotten nowhere. Because of this we had to get rid of pretty much everything. We had to take down walls and throw away a lot of things my parents have been trying to fix all of these problems and its becoming very very expensive which is hard when you have so many kids to take care of and feed and buying close because they never stop growing. I can tell how stressful this is to the both of my parents even though they don't show it, its a lot to take care of I'm am asking for a new start for our family, so please help us. We will be forever greatful.

    Thank you,
Cali Samson in behalf of the whole Samson family

  62. Hello ABC I have a dear friend of mine that is having a lot of downfalls in his life, his mother passed away when he was 13 of cancer. This father was a single Militery vet and raised him and his sister after the passing of his wife, he moved his family to Arkansas where he did his best to provide for his two children. Here in 2010 his sister ended up passing away and leaving just my friend and his father. Here in Feburary his father suddenly passed away at the age of 69 leaving my dear friend his home that he owned, the father left the home to my friend with a lot of renovations to be done and the mortgage if behind. My friend has been trying his best to save his fathers house so that one day when he finds his sisters children they would have a place to call home. My friend has been trough a lot in his life and still has not gotten over the death of his mother, sister and now his father. My friend is the only one left out of his family that is alive besides uncles aunts and cousins. I hate to see my friend depressed cause of the pain and struggle of trying to save his fathers home. I don't want him to lose his fathers home and I would love to see his fathers home fixed to the way it was when they moved to Arkansas in 1991

  63. Hi, my name is Stephanie Sisneros. My family has been living in our house for over ten years and we just found out that it is infected with toxic Black mold. My family does not have very much money. We discovered something was wrong when my mother started throwing up everyday. The doctors could not figure out what was wrong with her. She stopped going to work and stopped eating all together because anything she did at she would just throw back up. When the doctors finally said what was wrong, she had gastroporesis. In a human, it takes three hours to process food. Her stomach only allows thirty minutes to process. So when it does not fully process it comes up.She has gotten control of this with certain medicines and we thought that it was over. We still hadn't found out about the mold. Then my dad started shaking his right arm uncontrollably. He couldn't stop it until he fell asleep. The doctors said that this was from anxiety disorder. He has to take medicine when he starts feeling this, just so he wont sake and not throw up too. He has to watch his stress, his eating and make sure that he has his medicine at all times. He has been working construction for over15 years. So when he has an attack he stop working and just sit there and wait for the attack to stop. We started thinking about the mold when there was mushrooms growing out of the carpet in the bathroom. We pulled up the carpet and cleaned the mold we saw but the stuff kept going. My mom found a rash on the back of her leg. It was so bad that it hurt her when she moved. About a month ago, we decided not to live in the house anymore. We are living in a camper outside the house. We just had an inspector come and check the house and he said that the mold is bad. It is the mold that the media says to be careful about. I am scared on what we are going to do. I hope that you guys can help.

  64. I nominate my mom. She has three kids Tori (10),Hailey (me)(11) and my brother kaden (9) I think she needs this because she can't work because of her scoliosis and other disabilities.they wont let her so she barely gets by supporting us in our house she does have food stamps. We try our best to help but we are only kids . I help cook most of the meals. We have lived here 10 years and there are cracks, holes, and ripped out pieces of wall and she cant afford. She is generous to all of her friends and when she does have little to spare she helps her friends. She let to many people live in this house and hasn't gotten rent for it. She still loans our house out so people can have a place to stay but they take her for granted. She has trouble paying our bills and still needs mortgage. But I hope you pick us not for me my brother or sister but for my mom. She really needs this and I could even send pictures or a video of this house it might be big but it is falling apart. This is a surprise and I hope she gets what she deserves.

  68. Hello….I would like to nominate my boyfriend George for a new home makeover. He is polite and considerate of others. He has done so much for others and including the Church. He has 15 acres of land in which to build a beautiful home. He is 59 next month. He only makes minimum for his job wage and has been working for over 25 yrs. He has definitely paid it forward to others many many times and this time it should be his time to reap the rewards. This would be so awesome for him. He never asks for anything in return. He is a kind soul. Please choose him to do the makeover. He deserves it! Thank you…..so much.

  69. hi. My name is Lorraine. I'm a single mom of 4 and my youngest daughter has osteogenesis imperfecta. I am a full time student working on getting my RN. I have relocated 2x to provide the best medical care for my daughter I could. We are in a house where the basement floods everytime it rains and now there is a mildew issue. Please help.

  70. I trust God! And I know He will always care for us. It's hard to ask for help after reading some of these stories! I'm thankful that we have our health and so much more! But I have recently become a single mother of a beautiful 2 year old little girl! Up until now, I have been a stay at home mother. I have gone back to work part time and have been doing whatever I can from home to be able to stay home with her and at least avoid being away from home full time and her life completely changing all at once. And I have worked very hard to do that. Often very long hours. I could work 12 jobs but believe the right thing to do is raise my own child! Not a day care or someone else! We purchased a house last year hole my husband served in Afghanistan but it needs some
Work. She loves our home and I endeavor to keep it! I have a greater respect for single mothers these days. It's not an easy task. I know we are very blessed and I'm so grateful for that. Many dont have a home at all. But I do want to improve this one for my baby girl and myself.

  71. As you might know there was a Tornado hit down in Van, Texas last night. (May 10, 2015) That is not how any mother expected to spend there Mother's Day, waking up the next morning to the whole town being destroyed. I wanted to contact the Extreme Home Makeover group, and please ask if you can help rebuild this town in any way possible. There are lots of damaged homes, and I feel like if we got more people out there we could have this amazing town fixed in no time. It would mean a lot if you could help in any way possible.
Thank y'all so much for all of your support, and everything you do! I hope I hear back from you!

  72. Hi, My name is Jazzmyn Card and i'm applying this for my grandparents recently they're house was infested by black mold and they had to move into a "Temporary" Home witch today i was informed that they might never be able to live in their home again. they spent years trying to pay off their house and it started out as just some trailer and they made it they're home.I wouldn't be applying for this if they could do it on they're own but they can't unfortunately. my grandpa Carl was injured while working at his job. He was injured by a rock flying out of a wood chipper and hitting him in the back of the skull. This of course caused some effects on their life. Now he is unable to work and they are putting my aunt through her first year of collage next semester and also my mother is pregnant and we live five states away so they wanted to fly here for the birth of my brothers but they're not sure if that's even possible.Thats all I can share right now.

    sincerely a loving granddaughter, Jazzmyn.

  73. Hello! Me and my husband just bought this house which was on a market for a pretty long time, it has a lot of damage…. We were the only ones who saw the heart and soul of that place, it. Is in the woods, in the country side of jungle Florida! It looks like a little gingerbread house but completely trashed, it even has a fireplace which is not common for Florida! We are younger couple , we are married for 7 years, with no kids, but planning to have at least three when we have nice house! We are immigrants from different country and we are big animal lovers, we have three dogs and would love to have chickens, couple cats and a goat in our new place( the house sits on 1 acer of land). We groom animals for a living and I also work at local vet clinic part time as vet tech and dreaming to become a veterinarian one day) we will be very happy if you help us to make our fairy tale dream house come to life!

  74. Hi ABC! I'm just finishing up my freshman year at a small college that I love, mainly because of the incredible community. Everyone here has an unique story as to how they ended up at Toccoa Falls College, a small Christian college in the mountains of Georgia that almost no one has heard of. Truth be told, we have little financing, so the majority of activities that go on are set up, run, and sustained by students, which is why the community is so inspiring. A few years ago, a student started up a campus coffee shop on his own. It was his passion to provide a place for students to connect and get to know one another. Fast forward to today, and Coffee By The Pound is the favorite place to be on campus: this is where open-mic nights, little/big dates, group projects and more take place. Due to several complications, this year the coffee shop had to be shut down. SGA has done a great job of keeping costs low and managing the budget, but the building was no longer up to code, and the student-run business was closed. While this is not only sad for the students socially, it also gives a depressing ending to John Pound's legacy, who started the campus business. In 2011, before he was able to graduate, John lost his battle with cancer, leaving the coffee shop to the rest of the students. Their enthusiastic support made the business boom, and they renamed the coffee shop "Coffee By The Pound" after it's founder. Though students and faculty all desire to keep it going, we don't have the means. Several options have been considered but they've all been dead ends. Even though it's only my freshman year, I know how devastating it will be to upperclassmen, and those who studied with John Pound, not to mention the incoming freshman who will never get the true "TFC experience." PLEASE consider us, even just an encouraging response would be appreciated! This school has impacted so many lives including my own, and I would love to be able to give back. There is an incredible amount of history, passion, and natural beauty on this campus, I don't want to see part of it die.
