  1. Hi I would like to nominate my mom and dad for an extreme home makeover. A few years ago my dad was the pastor of a church which allowed him and my mom to stay in the parsonage not having to pay utilities or rent. My dad has come into a long list of health problems causing the deacons of the church to ask him to resign and they were asked to leave their home. My mother has health issues as well there for she is un able to work. They had no money, and no where to go until my dad's uncle opened his mothers old home for them. Both still do not work they are on disability which allows them to pay a very small amount of their pileing bills it's so incredibly sad and frustrating to see your parents struggle and not be able to do much to help. Their home is very small and closed in leaving them hardly any space to get around my dad suffers from a gun shot to his knee from a few years ago, he's had an amputation to one of his toes due to diabetes and he also has a bad liver their living condition is not ideal and they financially can't afford to move in to anew home. They have struggled for years to provide for myself and my siblings I would like them to not have to struggle with moving around their home.

  2. Hi my name is Brianna Gray and I don't know if you can nominate your own family but I would like to do so. I know that there might be worst cases than mine and my family's. But I would like you to pick us because my dad is very hard working individual. He does everything for everyone and puts off everything for himself. Ya see my twin sister and I are very sick, we have a lung disease called Interstitial lung disease. Which is a large group of disorders, most of which cause progressive scarring of lung tissue. I have had two surgery's and there's a lot more to it but you get the point. My dad and mom has their problems and on top of that my parents take good care of my papaw that has Alzheimer's disease. There is a lot more to my story, please email me.

    -Brianna Gray
    Please and thank you
    And may God bless

  3. I can't bring myself to ask. Many of these people writing in are in far more need then I. I just wanted to say I love what you do and with the grace of god I hope you continue to help so many you in need, may God be with you and the fine people that work with to help those I need.

  4. I am just a normal single mom of four kids i work hard but i need a little help please. My kids dad left me 9 years ago to mexico. My sin lives in my unfinished basment n i worry for fires n i need help please help me flip my house so it is liveable.

  5. Hello, I am asking if you could help us in getting a home makeover. WE live in NOva Scotia Canada. We have three children in a small 3 bedroom house. We have no yard for our children to play and in the back of the house the land is falling down so we have no backyard instead we have to put up a fence to stop the kids from falling down the bank. We have to put our wood in the basement and my son has extreme allergies but we have no other source of heat. We have to store any extra things at my mothers because have no garge to store things. My sons have to share a small bedroom together and i have to have their bureaus out in the hall beacuse no room in their bedrooms. We are always having to buy new appliances and fix our water because our water has so much sand in it that it clogs up the pipes all the time. Now we have to get a sewer put in because the old one is not working. It seems like one thing after another . The house is 150 years old. I grew up in a house that was me and 6 other siblings and we always had to work so hard with our mom to get what we needed because our father was an alcohalic that gave us nothing and ened up leaving and my mom had to look after us all. I would dream of being able to have a nice home and big yard for my kids. My husband works in the military and i work with special needs kids. My husband tends to go away alot of the time and I am left to attend to the house and sometimes gets hard especially with so many problems. My kids find it very difficult especially the boys because they love doing the fishing and hunting thing with their father. But they understand that he needs to go and his job keeps us safe. If it was not for my three children i do not know what I would do. My sons love to play soccer and have made it on the provincial team. And my daughter loves to dance. But it is getting so hard to be able to afford to have them in anything because we live about 1 hour and half away from everything because can not afford anything else this house has exhausted our money. They can not even go out in the yard to play soccer because we are so close to the road. I feel so bad because I would like to have given them more than what I was able to have. They are so good my oldest even raised by himself 21000 dollars to put up a monument at a veterans park for the animals and their handlers that have served in the military, RCMP and police forces. And still takes care of it. We do not even have a room where they can play in instead our living room is a play room to. All these things have put a great strain on our family. If given the opportunity to show you what i mean you would see how much we need a makeover and how much it would mean to our family and children.

  6. I'm only 11 and my sister is 13 my mom struggles because of my father and she has to work hard. i love your show and my mom deserves this very much please help us

  7. I want to nominate Johan and Rachel volschenk. Who lives in randfontein gauteng south africa My mother in law Rachel Volschenk and her husband supports me and my husband and there other son. I lost my job and I was supported by my husband but his sallary couldn't afford our house any more and so we had to move in with his parents. My father in law lost his job due to the mine not doing so well they are both very old and my father in law has to move away now to another city to go work there but the house is falling apart and due to the low money folow we can not afford to fix everything. Me and my husband want to start a family but its very hard to do so with the house being so small and with all the stress. We already lost two kids as it is due to stress and its been hard on both of us. Please we need your help to make the house better. My inlaws are very old and close to my heart. They deserve to know that the house is going to last another few years not a few months.

  8. I nominate Hilda and Hennie Venter. Who lives in randfontein gauteng in a one bed room apartment with my little brother who is turning 7. My parent are both working but they rent a small one bed room apartment because there income does not allow a bigger place. My mother is very ill and I don't know when her body is going to give in from all the stress and also the place they must live. It constantly smells like dead cat. Me and my husband try our best to help them but we can barely help ourselves. Please help us by helping them.

  9. Hi my wife, 8 month old son and I were living in a mobile home we both are 20 and were trying to live on our own we lived there for almost a year when a month ago our house rolled with no warning everyone keeps saying that we were lucky to be alive because the trailer rolled on top of us and the only thing keeping the heavy frame from crushing us was the couch we were on. we were lucky to get out we belive god has a plan for us. after that happened we have been working really hard to keep up with everything luckly we had a community to help but we almost paid off our mobile home but all of that was lost we are renting a house but we are slowly losing it. we both are working a lot of hours we never see each other we are on different hours. I don't get to see my son a lot and he is getting so big. but the reason for this entry is my wife and I don't want to rely on going back to living with our parents we want to prove that we can be strong for our kids and that everything pays off. but every time there is a storm or high winds or it might just be misting my wife breaks into a panic and starts crying she wants our own house that she will feel safe in our 8 month old son wakes up every night with nightmares. I don't know what you can do with this since we don't own land or a house but I was just hoping you would read this you all are very amazing people thank you for your time I hope you can get back with me on this your friend Robert from douglass kansas

He wasn't supposed to live past 3 months but the Lord has blessed us with 5 years this July with him. He has been in the hospital along in ICU 23 times in the past 2 years. Our house has water damage and the roof leaks. This little guy requires a lot including a handicap bathroom and a lift that would be quite handy. I wish he had his own room. He has a ton of supplies. An oxygen machine boxes of feeding supplies and so on. Our house is terrible on the outside. We actually live in a barn. The door you come into right there the roof is caved in. Please help our family. Please give my miracle a safe and healthy environment to live in.

  17. I want to nonminate my family. My mom has many illness including RA fibromyalgia and migraine. This prevents her from doing a lot but she still tries everyday. She cannot work. My dad was kicked out and hardly ever supports us. My mom gave three kids and one she took in from an unhealthy household. She's becoming disable shortly. This is the second time she has tried. She's unable to work. She used to work under the table as a hairdresser and cleaning houses but became allergic to the chemicals. We went bankrupt because my dad wouldn't pay his taxes. My mom has been trying to find money for a lawyer and is not having a lot of luck. There's some days when my mom is extremely sick and should go to the hospital. Sometimes she can't get out of bed. My family is very deserving of this because we're not only very good people but we look out for others and put other first.

  20. My best friend Lynn, like many others, has a very sad story to tell, one that I think needs to come from her directly. I will say this family deserves a break and though the story is sad, they are a very entertaining and attractive family, not to mention the location is approx 15 minutes from LOCK AND KEY PRODUCTIONS. If any of this sounds the least bit interesting, please let me know and I will coordinate with them I promise you will not be disappointed. Thank you for your time.

  21. My husband and I had planned on renovating our home this year but unfortunately he passed away in March. I am struggling with the loss of my best friend as well as having an infection that has left me too weak to work alone. Chris, my husband, was an awesome craftsman. He had just completed the beautiful tile work in our bathroom but the basement was left in disarray. Also, the great amount of rain in the area has brought with it black mold & fungus. I am struggling to make my husbands and my own wishes come true. Seekin help and prayers to do what is needed to make this come true in loving memory of my sweet husband.

  22. Hi, I would like to nominate a family that I have personally known for the last 19 years. They have 8 children and two of them are severely autistic, they do not speak and are violent as well. They are continuously repairing the damages in there walls and home. I know they are a deserving family and can't even imagine how humbled they would be at the chance of having a home renovation done for them. The mothers facebook is posts of her beautiful children and all of te mishaps of everyday life, she keeps a good attitude and tries to use wall decals to hide the holes, however it is not all it is cracked out be ( pardon the pun) and needless to say there are the realities, kids need braces and a never ending list of needs.
I feel for this wonderful family as I have 6 children of my own,and can't imagine the challenges they face daily.

  23. hi am asking help from you i have a 7year old boy who can't use his hands and he don't walk so help me to build home couse we live in t two room sherk and he is not safe for him please help us we from south africa mpumalanga thank you so much.

  24. In 2007 my dad had a massive heart attack and spent 20 minutes with a lack of oxygen to his brain. He was in a coma for 17 days and when he finally woke up the only person he remembered was my mom. My dad played a huge role in the community, he coached just about every sport and he always had parents complimenting him saying how much their kids loved him. When he was in the hospital the nurses said they had never seen this many people come visit one patient. Now my dad is disabled and can't work so my mom has to provide for me and my brother. She went back to working an office job after 20 years. My sister still lives at home also to help with daddy. Our house isn't exactly the safest place in the world or the nicest. Most of our house is just unfinished ideas and is falling apart. The back porch doesn't have railing and we are in the process of finally building steps for it. The water is full of iron and stains everything orange. The windows leak and so does the roof. It's livable and of course I'm thankful to have a place to live but an upgrade would be nice. My mom works so hard and I want her to have a nice place to relax.

  27. Hello! My name is Claudia. I would love for you all to help renovate my parents home. My mother got diagnosed with leukemia last year in November and although she is cancer free since January this year. She is going through a 7 month treatment to prevent it from coming back. My parents are currently living in Santa Fe, NM because of my mothers treatment, but their home is in Chaparral, NM. My mother and father have always been there for my brothers, sisters and I. They're not famous or important in society but are important to us their kids. My father has always struggled with jobs but has never given up. They're getting older now and it's been hard for them lately. I ask please to help out my parents with their home. I'm sure there is a lot of other people that need the help too 🙁 and I feel for them as much as I feel for my parents. Thank you so much for your time and pray that you all take my parents into consideration. Thank you! God bless!

  28. My mother, bless her heart, has been through hell. She lost everything in the divorce except enough money to buy back the house they were selling through a rent to buy arrangement. The people who were buying the house fled the country and failed to pay the taxes on it so she had to spend everything she had to buy the house back to put a roof over our heads.
5 years later she has resorted to travel nursing in order to pay her bills and have a place to call home in between the times she has to travel. During this past year she took a hard fall which has kept her from doing her job and kept her from getting new ones. A few months ago she found out her home was broken into and nearly everything of value was stolen. She returned home today and found her house in shambles. People were squatting in her house. The floors are covered in cigarette buts and urine and mold and random peoples underwear. They ripped her tv off the wall and left a huge hole in wall. She has two dogs and no mower to be able to mow the yard because they stole that too.
She cannot walk in her house without stepping on something. She is scared to go into the basement, an unfinished basement, because they can smell it from upstairs. They stole her doorknobs and books and her sewing supplies and to top it off the house has bugs. She needs help and I am too far away to be of any help and she is barely able to support herself financially let alone have enough money to have a good cleaning done, please help her

  30. Go to "Pine Ridge Reservation Disaster Area" it's on YouTube!! You want to talk about good people that need help! I know it's not just one house but the money it would take to fix just one house would do wonders for the Pine RIdge Reservation!

  31. I know there are many out there who deserve this. I am taking a chance mainly because of my parents. My dad is a carpenter and he has lifted our 1 story house to make it 2 stories because he has always thought of our family and the future. He is very active in the community and although, we got the house lifted my parents werent really able to do it the way they envisioned it. Due to his committments to the community kids and also always putting everyone else first, my father is too busy to fix up his own house. When elderly people needed to have ramps built at home for them to access their homes, my dad was asked to build it and he willingly did, free of charge. His dedication and love for others has always been a priority despite the need to fix his own house. I know my parents would love to fix the house the way they envisioned it for their children and grand children to be able to grow and build memories , but time and money along with volunteering his time to be committed to coaching and building my late uncle's dream of helping the youth through a football program, they have been unable to take care of their own things. They would never ask for this, but i know they would be blessed and truly grateful if it was done for them. They are always willing to shelter family or friends in need of temporary housing until they can get out on their own. My dad is always helping family and friends get jobs or find jobs. They have helped raise many of my cousins and they always step up to the plate without asking for any money or any help. Our family has been through a lot and my parents are such awesome people who always take care of others before themselves. My two sisters and I live in the home, with my husband and 3 kids and also family are always staying with us. It would be a blessing and a moracle to be able to have this home redone how they envisioned with room for all the people whom they want to share and build memories with. Thank You

  32. Hello, I'm commenting on here because my husband and I would be so blessed to have you a makeover on our home. 35. Good Afternoon, My name is Katie and I'm writing on behalf of my parents. Growing up my parents were the hardest workers I knew, my mother held a state job working with individuals with disabilities and my Father worked odd jobs, until he landed a job working as a rail road crew driver. Growing up we lived on a fixed income and my parents knew how to stretch a penny. About 12 yrs ago my fathers health almost took him from us. His diabetes took the best of him and he lost his left leg. He spent months in a rehabilitation unit and attempted to learn how to utilize a prosthetic leg. With little success he was unable to learn how to walk on his own. With therapy and help from my mother, he managed. He was still able to walk with a walker and get up and down the stairs at home. In 2010 he was hit again with another blow. Diabetes hit again taking his kidney function, he was in renial failure. Going to dyalisis 3 days a week, strict diet and fluid limitations, still didn't stop Jimmy. He kept going in and out of the hospital, in and out to rehabilitation centers and in between all of that, he still managed to seen his grandchild play baseball, softball and take them to the fair every summer. Well his health took another turn for the worst this week, Jimmy lost his Right leg. Now being a paraplegic we don't know what's on the cards for our dad. Living on a fixed income and now not being able to walk, he has no place to live. We would love to keep him at home, but seeing his home is not handicapped accessible and my mom being disabled herself, he will be forced to live in a nursing home. My Dad has been thought the ringer over the past 12 yrs, but he never let his disability get the best of him. Please with your help, my dad can still have the quality of life he has always known. He will no longer have his freedom to do as he will, but maybe he can still have his home he worked so hard to provide for us. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Have a great day

    Sincerely, Katie

  36. Dear ABC, my name is Michelle Martel I am writing to you today on behalf of my mother and father in-laws to be. My fiancé and I have been together for seven years, his parents are some of the nicest and funniest people you've met. Their house however is in dire need of some TLC by which I mean in the extreme. His mother is a thyroid cancer survivor and has slipped disks in her back along with the chronic back pain she already has on top. His father has suffered several heart attacks and strokes. He had Quinntuple bypass surgery however the lover left of his heart had died. He also suffers from slipped disks in the back and sleep apnea. But if you met either one they'd greet you with a smile and what can I do for you kind of attitude. They also suffered the loss of a granddaughter at just two months old form SIDS.

When my fiancé and I were just 19 we gained temporary custody of two of his neices. We cared for them during a difficult time in his older sisters life. They are now happily back with their mom. My fiancé and I have always checked in on his parents to make sure they have enough food or heat. At a time in our lives when young adults are usually out finding themselves and partying, vacationing and having fun. We've found ourselves taking care of his family in what ever way we could. Last november we moved in his parents house to help because finically it was becoming hard to to pay for two households. Their house was built in 1961 and is made of cement blocks and wood. It is not well insulated and has been falling apart long before I met my fiancé. The house has mold and drafts that in Maine winters can at times be almost unbearable. I'm begging for your help because my fiancé and I will be getting married this summer and we are only doing paper work and celebrating with close family because we have so little. My fiancé will be leaving for Marine boot camp this coming January, and we just found out that were expecting our first child together. I pray that when you read this you know that this truly is only a small glimpse into how much we would cherish and appreciate the help. Thank you Sincerely Michelle N Martel

  37. Hello there:)
My name is Janneth & I really wish you could help me out here.. I am an only child who really wants to make her moms wishes come true. My parents have no clue that I am doing this but… Even though my parents had to start from scratch they always managed to give me what I needed & even more even in the toughest situations. My dad would never deny a job even if that implied risking his life or sleeping one or two hours a day. My mother on the other hand would work part time and take care of me. I can't complain of my parents for I had the best ones ever. When I turned 17 I told my parents I wanted to work & help out. Me being a dancer asked my dance studio owner if I could work there to help my parents pay off bills & things like that. I began working from Monday's through Saturdays about 34 hours a week. Not bad. But I really wished I could spend more time with my family.they are the most important people in my life. My mom for the past 6 years has wanted to remodel the house & she saves up money for it… But there is always little emergencies that make her use that money on it. Emergencies as me injuring my ankle, her surgery, & my dads expenses while living in another city to work over there. I really hope you can help me make my mothers wishes come true & help us remodel our home. It's not a bad place but it's not the best either. Hopefully you could come out here & help us out…. Please! I'm from El Paso TEXAS:) I would really appreciate it! I love your show! & my moms dream has always been for you to come & remodel our house. Please please please! I beg:)

  41. My mom, two sisters. And my four year old twin nieces live in this house. Although my mom is continuing to have health issues, she saw my 12 year cousin in need and took him in as well. My mom has recently discovered that she has two tumors on her head, and because it hinders her from going to work most times; I will be moving back home next week. This is our child hood home, which dad was working on before he died in 2013. He was only able to get the roof and the porch done. We are in desperate need of help.

  42. Good Day!
I am commenting on behalf of my parents(and they dont have a clue). My mom and dad have been married 38 years and raised four girls with little or no assistance. Now all us girls are grown and three of us live on our own. My youngest sister had some problems and her kids where taken and now my mom and dad have custody of her three kids and also take care of one of my other sisters daughter. Age range from 7-13, three girls and one boy. They live in a three bedroom one bath house that was probably first built in the early 1900's and slowly got rooms added and eventually a bathroom, that needs a lot of improvement and the kitchen is in need of a lot of TLC as well. The third bedroom comes from them adjoining another older home to make it a three bedroom(my dad did this himself) and slowly was trying to modernize their home enough for no worries. Now, with only my dad working and only a lil assistance from the government there is no budget to improve the home only maintain. My youngest sister has recently had another baby and lives in a travel trailer behind my mom and dads house and helps as much as she can. I would love to see my mom and dad have a home that they do not always have to worry about things breaking and where my nieces and nephews could have there own rooms. In my mind my mom deserves much more than what she has, as well as my dad. They would be a ecstatic about even have their own bathroom much less room for everyone. This is a long shot but you never know how the lord may bless them and they at least deserve a shot. The house is not bad but it is to small and out dated for a couple of good people that are getting older and when they are gone I have already been told its up to me to help out the grand-kids due to their unreliable parents(I hate to say that but it is the truth). So I have to start some where……
    Thank YOU and God Bless

  45. Hi ABC,
My name is Alyssa. I know there are hundreds of people that need your help as much as I do, but I wanted to share my story and hopefully spread some awareness about prematurity in doing so. I'm 28 years old, and a single mother of two boys, one living, one with wings. I'm currently pregnant with my rainbow.

In October of 2014 my water broke at 21 weeks gestation. I thought my baby was going to die. My husband chose to leave me and my kids that week.

I gave birth to my 1 lb 3 oz miracle a few weeks later at 24 weeks gestation. I spent 110 days fighting by his side in the NICU, with the help of the most amazing staff a parent could wish for for their child. Carson had an enormous personality, and everyone that cared for him was quick to fall in love. He lost his fight with microprematuriy this past Valentines day- February 14th, 2015. I am currently working on a project to help enhance the lives of other NICU families in a way to carry on Carson's memory.

I was off from work for 5 months from the time I was on bedrest until returning to work only two weeks after Carson's death. I went from two incomes to none, and I got behind on all of my bills.

I've been a nurse for almost 10 years now. Currently, I'm a registered nurse in a psychiatric hospital. I'm working again, with much support from my co-workers. I'm trying to keep it together for my oldest son, but as the numbness from Carson's death wares off, I find it difficult to care for people's mental well-being when I can't even have the time to take care for my own.

When I'm not working I spend my time with my oldest son, Kyler. Although Kyler is too young to be diagnosed with ADHD he has scored in the 100th percentile for all categories that make up the diagnosis. Kyler has the sweetest heart, but he requires a lot of care and attention. After his father left, and his brother died, his behaviors have been more difficulty for me to manage. I have sought professional help for him early on in hopes of having no long term negaive outcomes for him, but without the financial support, I can't afford for him to continue.

Now my house. My foundation is crumbling- There are breaks on the inside, and outside of my home from the foundation movement. When I bought this house a year and a half ago, the sewer backed up into my basement, ruining all of the tiling and bottoms of the walls, which I am unable to fix. We had three trees removed that were clogging the sewer system, and the stumps were supposed to be removed by my husband. They are still there, and as long as there is life in the tree stump, the roots continue to grow into my sewer lines. Before my husband left, he started many "projects" around my house. Those "projects" are now unfinished and are preventing me from being able to sell my home. I can't afford to finish them.

I have worked extremely hard for everything that I have, and now it's gone; My husband, my youngest son, and soon to be my home. I'm asking for your help for my kids. I'm asking for your help because my oldest son has been through more then some people go through in a lifetime, and he's only turning four next week. I'm asking for help because I don't want my living children to ever have to say, "I lost my mom the day my brother died".

  46. 48. 49. Geesh..where to start first and foremost not sure whose reading these but i definitely want to say i appreciate the opportunity. I am the oldest son of a single mother of five my mother has no idea that i'm even trying to reach out to you guys on our behalf. Our family has been homeless kicked out of shelters due to maxed out housing we have slept in cars trucks etc..my mom has tried her best to keep us all together with everything in her in doing so she hasnt been able to maintain a stable job cause of all of the calamities that came along with keeping family. Two years ago we were blessed with a house in inner city Detroit Michigan where their has only been one owner in the house besides our family with my mom being a single parent of 5 with no help its been tough bringing the house up to code and making sure the house is livable. We try our best daily to keep the house in Devine order but gets a bit overwhelming for us all. I'm not sure how this process works if it works at all but i know it would mean the would to my mom and family to have our owned house for two years regrouped in a proper living manor so i ask from the bottom of my heart and extent a long arm to whoever reads this to please embrace me and my family as we try ever so dearly to continue to embark on this everlasting journey call life

    Warm blessing, Yharbrough family

  50. Hi my sister and her wife are truly deserving any extreme home makeover her. My sister is a 100% disabled veteran. there are four-year-old daughter was recently diagnosed with type one diabetes and is very ill. Because her diabetes is very unstable her spouse had to quit her job to help take care of my sister and there now ill child. They have a VA loan and are struggling to keep their house right now. My Sister and her family are extremely deserving of this not only because she and her spouse are very good parents and good people but because she has selflessly served our country and I feel like this would be one very good way to give back to her.

  51. Hi! My name is Donna, I am a 22 year old college student. I currently still live at home with my mom. We have lived in the same house since I was 4. A little over 7 years ago my dad passed away in a motorcycle accident. He was the one who brought home most of the income and allowed for the house to be repaired and fixed as needed. After he passed away my mother and I barely scraped by. This meant home renovations were not really in the picture. On top of the house needed repairs, it is about a 200 year old farm house. The floors are crocked, if you jump everything shakes, there is mold on one of the walls in one of the rooms, the electrical is old and I believe never been replaced in the 18 plus years we have been here (the lights now flicker when they shouldn't, dim, and up stairs the rooms only have outlets in the light, so there are extension cords in the light to have outlets in the rooms), it is hard to keep warm in the winter and cool in the summer do to it being drafty, windows leak and don't sit completely right, and I am sure I could go on. It was hard enough on us to replace the hot water tank, which we had to do because it almost caught on fire, from the flam going over the side hitting the cover. I love this house because it is where I grew up, but I also know that it has a LOT wrong withit, way more then my 64 year old mom could afford with her cashier job and me working only part time due to being a full time college student. We see tons of people around us getting help and support from many different places and we work hard and get nowhere. It would be really amazing for me to be able to see my mom living in a good steady, nondrafty house so the one day I do move out I will not have to worry about her and her affording living in this old, drafty house. My mom has no idea I am trying to get help with the house. It does take a lot for either of us to ask for help, but I see the big picture and this house needs help and in order for the house to be fixed it would take a miracle from somewhere to help my mom afford it, and for me to be at ease when I move out that the house will be manageable for my mother.

  52. I know someone that needs there home redone its falling down around them so please help them it's mother and son the is very sick her son takes care of her but his health is not so good. Thanks iris

  53. My name is Ruby Smith. I am a mother of 5, 2 girls 5yrs old and a 12 yrs old and 3 boys 9, 11 and 13. We live in a small 2br house with only 2 very small closets. We even had to turn the livingroom into a bed room. We been living here for 6 yrs. This house has no insulation so in the winter it gets really cold. And it causes the light bill to go very high. Air comes in thru the walls. No room for all our clothes..when it rains it leaks in the house. Thru the living room window and bed room walls, ceilings. We have black mold in the house. I am a very sick women. My 11 yr old son had asthma and all the boys have bad allergys. And with all the mold it dont make it easy for us. And its hard to get the landlord to come and fix anything since he lives in Vermont. Hell it took them 3 months just to come put in a new door for the kitchen, my kitchen floor came up cause of water coming in when it rains. I can only work no more then 20 hrs a week but barely get 15 hrs a week. My husband does most of the working. So between the bills and our 5 kids we cant even afford to get a vehicle to fit us all and take the kids any where. They WANT to do sports and we got to depend on his parents to let us use their vehicle and thats not easy. I've always been a self depending women but I'm stuck with no one to help. We really need ur help. Can you plz help.

  54. Im pretty sure its a lot more people who need this way more then me and my family but its a start. I'm a mother of 4 just recently had a baby. There ages are 3 months, 2,3,3,4 I'm currently out of work do to the baby I just had. My fiance is the only man bringing income in for our family. We just moved in to a huge house that fits us all. But has major damage to the home witch makes it hard to make all the kids stay in one room. With my husbands income he makes enough to pay property taxes electric, water, and extra things we need for the children. He works 2 sometimes even 3 jobs at a time to try and keep up with the bills and fix small things throughout our home. But its hard. Nothings really stable for the kids to where there safe to play in more then one room.my husband is barley home due to all the jibs. It gets hard staying alone and not really getting to be a real family. My husband works with MRDD people and also recently has applied to be a fighter fighter. I'm sure we will have no time I can't even jump back into school because he works so hard and is never home. His goal is to keep working as much as he can till the house is full fixed and livable. We stay in a low come area and didn't want to pass this opportunity up to be homeowners for the first time. Its scary at tikes but we try and make it work. I'm physically and mentally broke down about the house…. Please Help me and my husband and 5 small children wouldn't wish more for a home suited for our family.

  57. Hi, I know you must get to ton of sad stories and my story is no sadder than the rest, but it would go much appreciated to at least have my story read. My name is Joey, I'm 18 and I live a decent life, I have a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in. For three years now, I've watched my best friend Sarah struggle through life with her young brother, older sister, mom, and dad. She used to live in a little small town called Floresville, here, in a small apartment, but then bills started to pile on so they move to san Antonio. Its no better when they live now, they live in a cramped hotel, her brother get picked on at school, shes god through constant heartbreak with guys at school, and they recently lost their credit card, they've endured loads of bad luck in it pains me to see her suffer while I'm here unable to do anything, a new home and a fresh start is all I think they need to get a new sense of hope. Thank you.

  59. Hi, my husband and I have 2 little boys and we are also housing my brother, mother, and two nephews. our house is a 3 bedroom and 2 bath double wide. when we moved in, we found out that it had termite problems as well as cockroach problems. we have also recently found out that there is mold in the ceiling and walls. even more recently we had a grease fire in the kitchen. we do not have the money to fix the house ourselves. The floor boards are coming up, windows are broken, there is no insulation, and the heat and air barley work. my husband lost his job, and I cannot get one due to back problems. We have been trying to help other people out as best we can, but due to that the house seems to be getting worse. we have no money, a lot of people staying with us and this house is falling apart. I am scared that living here is bad for my family's health. we have nowhere else to turn to. please help us.
    Thank you so much
    from the revis family.

No I've watched the show for years and I cry every time(even on reruns), and I realize there are a lot of people that are more worthy of such a life changing miracle.. I know I don't deserve a blessing like this, but my wife and step son certainly do,they're so wonderful and I always feel undeserving of them, but I love them very much. Thanx for listening

  63. Hi my name is Sharonda Allen and I'm a 36 year old I'm from Okmulgee Oklahoma and I work at a MR facility in Beggs Oklahoma. The reason why I'm writing this is to get some help for my clients I work in a 16 bed facility and we are in need of some major repairs in our building. We recently had a Survey and State came and we have alot of repairs that need to be done. I just want to help our owner out because he does so much for us and I just want to try and take some of the burden off him. His name is Scott Pilgrim and he is a wonderful boss and always trys to get everything we need when we need it . It took me awhile to write you guys because I don't like asking for help but then I thought it's not for me it's for my clients and I think they deserve it. My clients had started saving their weekly money because they wanted to help with some of the repairs because they all had ideas of how they wanted their rooms decorated. That broke my heart I pray every night that maybe I can a make a difference in their lives and I thought to myself I do that everyday I show up for work. Soon as I walk through the door they start calling my name and giving me hugs. That is the most wonderful feeling in the world. My clients are the most unselfish people you could ever meet they are so sweet and loving and it will be a blessing if you guys would pick us and make their lives a little better for them. My clients love watching your show and everytime we watch the show they always say "What Do We Have To
Do Moma Goose For Them To Come Help US" My building has 8 Boys and 8 Girls. I love my clients with all my heart and I know this makeover would make their day and make their lives a lil better. They love to play sports and they participate in Special Olympics every year and they love it. I told the guys that I was applying for your show and they was real excited and immediately started saying "Move That Bus" so if you can find it in your hearts to make their dreams come true. We will be waiting for you guys call love you from the Countrylane Family

  64. 65. I am writing in regards to my sweet grandfather. He has had a stroke nearly 3 yrs ago, his health is continuing to decline as well as his >100yr old farm house. My husband, son, and I have come to stay with him due to him falling and being unable to care for himself. I knew his home was old but didn't realize until after I moved in how unsafe it truly is for all of us. I know any minute that the floor will fall in, we have to tip toe throughout most all of the rooms. I would love to provide him with a safe handicap accessible home where I can safely and efficiently care for him. He sometimes doesn't know me. It's sad to watch someone you love deteriate right in front of you. I am a nurse and he trusts me to care for him but I feel as though I'm failing him. I don't have money to fix up the floors and replace floor Joyce's, get a new roof, change bathroom to a handicap bath. This farm means the world to him and us. I know adding a fresh look to the home as well as the much needed repairs would make him ecstatic. My grandfather had a little money and when my grandmother passed away about 10 yrs ago my grandfather started dating soon after. His new girlfriend loved a fancy lifestyle. He got into a financial mess. Me and my husband are trying to dig him out of this financial tunnel. When he had a stroke his girlfriend disappeared. My grandfather is and was a wonderful person. He sang and wrote music up until he had a stroke. He has always been wonderful to everyone. I wanna give him the whole world and do anything to make him happy. I know that this would make him exstatic. His central doesn't work, his electric bill is $500ish. i know so many people need y'all's help and I understand if you can't help us. I hope if anyone that reads thi s realizes that our lives can change in an instant, love your family, hold them close, spend time with them, and most importantly tell them/show them what they mean to you. You just never know what tomorrow holds. My grandfather is luckily still with me, but he's not ya know. He sits and watches westerns all day. I just want to make him happy before it's too late. He is like a child now…. His mind is different. He is still gdaddy though. He is still funny, he still is centimental, he Luvs his family( he may not know all of us) he still Luvs old county and John wayne. I would do anything for his sweet sole! God bless

  66. To Whom It May Concern, My Mom and step-dad helped me to purchase my fixer home about a dozen years ago. They moved in with me for eighteen months helped pay the expensive purchase loan mortgage until I grew enough equity to afford the payment alone. They went on to acquire a fixer home of their own just a few short blocks away, and we cleaned both houses head to toe, inside and out with old fashioned elbow grease, heart & soul, weekend warrior style for the following few years leading to the economic crises that virtually put me out of business as a local Realtor. We weather the economic storm managing to modify our mortgages to an affordable payment and appreciate the opportunity to save our homes from foreclosure yet the houses are in original condition sixty years old and in need of major repairs & upgrades. Mom's roof is leaking, she is in her sixties now and has never had a dishwasher. The cabinets in her kitchen are not deep enough to accommodate a dishwasher and I'm afraid we can't afford to renovate the space. Mom nor I, have ever had a master bedroom and it was a dream to someday add such a space to our homes, especially to Mom's house in need of a roof, yet since the aftermath of almost loosing our homes, any future possible renovation seems unforeseen anymore. I finally married the love of my life the beginning of this year at age 38, I'm a late bloomer yet I still look forward to raising a family in my little fixer home and want my future children to enjoy time with my Mom at her home too. If ever thinking of a Mom & Daughter special home makeover I would request to be considered. Most of all I wish for my Mom to have a home of her dreams with a roof to stand the rest of her lifetime, a space she can entertain and call her personal sanctuary. Sincerely, Stockton CA

  67. I am contacting you regarding a 2 bed room small house we live in built in the 1950's. The house was lived in over many years by renters who did a lot of damage to the house. The structure of the house has many rotting and decaying material all around which caused millipede worms to enter into the house. The roof is old/flat with 3 boxed air conditions and the electrical wiring is bad. The home is infested inside and out with cock roaches, bugs, worms, spiders, lizards and cats that constantly return and crap in the yard. I am terrified of the pest and recently had a minor accident trying to get away from them. I am also afraid of falling and hurting myself because of this issue. However, We have no where else to live. The house is so bad the insurance was dropped until certain things could be fixed. Financially we are unable to get the house under control and found out a few months ago that we are having our first baby. This life changing event has caused me to desperately seek help in repairing our home. Our baby is due in August 2015 and I know that this child will grow and begin to crawl. He will one day be curious and put things in his mouth as kids do. The house is not in the best living condition for us or the new born. However, our backs are against the wall and me being a first time mom is causing me to cry for help. Even though we are not in the best neighborhood, I would be very grateful to have my new born in a healthy and safe inside environment even if the outside could not be fixed. I know complaining and crying will never fix our problem. I also know my husband has done the best he can to keep a roof over our head. Unfortunately, we are out of options and there is nothing we can do about it. I'm desperately seeking your help. If it's possible and am praying that you will please help us.

  68. Hi. I am appealing to you because I know a family desperately in need of assistance. Their family consists of several adult siblings and their children. They were sharing their beautiful 100 yr old Victorian home, which they grew up in, since one of the sister's homes was destroyed in Hurricane Sandy, and another sibling suffers from a disability. They were all negatively impacted financially due to the hurricane and allowed the home insurance to lapse. Weeks later, the day after Christmas, which was also their deceased mother's birthday, there was an electrical fire on the third floor and the upper level was damaged. The exposed house continued to sustain damage throughout the winter. This is a very deserving family. They grew up alongside more than 30 foster children, which their mom welcomed into their home. I am friends with one of the family members because we are both devoted animal rescue people. Luckily, she was able to get all of the animals out safely. The cat that they could not locate was fortunately found in a water soaked closet the following day. The family is now living in the hurricane destroyed home, which is still being pieced back together. Please help this family who has helped so many and please restore this beautiful home so it will not be destroyed. Time is of the essence. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

  69. Hello I am writing on behalf of my mom. She is 62 years old and is one of the most caring, giving, and strongest women I know. At first glance she makes life look so easy but she has had a tough road to travel. My father died in 1992. As a single mother she worked hard to make sure my brother and I got what we needed. She remarried once we were older and In 2007 she was was diagnosed with breast cancer and survived. In 2012 she lost her second unexpectedly to a heart attack and since summer 2014 she's been spending a year long battle of fighting pancreatic cancer. In all of these struggles and life changes my mom's home has been neglected and is in need of some serious repairing. I am pleased to say the she retired in January 2015 after working as an Licensed practitioner nurse for 36 years and in February 2015 she received successful surgery where part of her pancreas was removed to get rid of cancerous tumor. She is still receiving treatment (radiation and chemotherapy) to prevent cancer from spreading. My mom has kept a smile on her face, standing tall and caring for others through it all. She loves her home and has made several attempts to repair it but one obstacle after another keeps getting in the way. ABC please help me grant this one wish for my mom. It is my prayer that she can enjoy retirement in her home cancer free!!!

  70. Hey, guys! My name is Lyndsay Shubin and I am contacting you all for my dear, sweet, grandparents. My grandfather is a 61 year old Vietnam vet who was exposed to agent orange and his health is slowly but surely deteriorating while my grandmother is a 64 year old retired RN who has dedicated all her recent time to taking care of my grandfather who can no longer care for himself. They are both facing multiple health issues at this point in their lives and with us not having a very big family at all and also living 2 and a half hours away it's not exactly easy to get to them and help them out when needed so all we can do is come on the weekends and help with what we can, but remodeling their home is just something we're sad to say is out of our reach. They are very much older in health than in an age perspective and it's getting very hard for them to keep up with their very old and falling apart home. They do not have the time or the means with them being in and out of the hospital to even take care of their home anymore and I would almost say there's no telling what all is in that home and it could or could not be playing a part in their health issues. They are so unwell, not even with that being the biggest factor in all of this, they still manage to be the most loving and selfless people I've ever known, always asking if we ever need anything without even worrying about what all it is that they need at this point in time. They are SO deserving of this, guys! And while it wouldn't eliminate all of their issues, it would eliminate a big home issue to where they can rest in their own home in PEACE! God Bless You for all that you guys do, it would be an abundant blessing for them to be a part of this. Thank You from the bottom of our hearts and God Bless!

  72. I am applying on behalf of my good friends.
They are a wonderful family who serve at the
Bible College in our community. The husband is the
Athletics director and coaches sports and gives
of his time mentoring students. The couple had
3 boys the youngest of which was 3 months when
they found out they were having twins! They
had a boy and a girl! They were both soo excited
for a baby girl but tragically the baby girl died at
3 months old. This has been very difficult for them
to recover from, then this past fall they found out
The baby girl's twin has a very rare genetic
Disorder called Alstrom Syndrome that is causing him to be blind and eventually
deaf. The syndrome also causes complications
with all systems of the body which in most cases
leads to a premature death around the age of
    20. To say this family has been through a lot
is an understatement. They currently have the
opportunity to move on to the husband's family farm because his father can no longer farm due to Dementia but the
house needs a lot of work which they cannot
afford. I would love to see some good come
to their lives after all they have been through.

  73. My mom is a senior citizen and a widow. When my father passed away in 2006, the home just started falling apart. The electricity barely works; the house is needing to be re-wired. Half of the electricity works in the kitchen; 2 rooms are without electricity, and now it is to a point where sometimes the electricity will not come on at all. If she would run the heater and the microwave at the same time, all the electricity would shut off. She has a shortage throughout the home and not enough breakers in her breaker box. She has a serious water leak in the home to where the water company has shut the water off. Water has leaked into one of the back rooms, which I am pretty sure is molded by now, because it was never really treated. That door is one that just stays closed and no one enters. The water has been off for a few years now, so the bill may be higher. Her water bill is over 3000.00 and none of us can afford to pay it. My mom and I travel to different family, and friends houses with up to 30 empty gallon jugs, just to fill up for water needed for the week. Sometimes, the water is gone before weeks end. The plumbing is so bad, that she cannot even run water in her kitchen sink because it has been backed up for years. She washes dishes in large buckets she has placed in the sink. The wood on the outside of the house is deteriorating and the roof leaks in different part of the home when it rains. I am a single mom of 3 and we were living there with her. It hurt me for them to have to live in those conditions. Once I was able to get on my feet, I did leave, but my mom still resides there.
