  1. I have never had anything really we have rented, lived with
family or friends but my parents gave my siblings and I some land to split up. I took my all the tax money i received this year and put it towards getting the land surveyed and split up between us and now I'm at a standing point with no income coming in and bills adding up i dont know what to do now. I used to work all the time even stuggling with the fight with lupus and antiphospholipid syndrome but recently the doctor has took me out of work so that means no income no home for my baby girl and it kills me every day to know she doesn't have a stable home to live in . Please help me give her a home please im not asking for me im asking for her she deserves to have a stable life. Please please please help

  3. On March 5th 2015.My family's home burned down due to an electrical fire. The house was a total loss. The house was actually my mom and dad's home. I also lived there with my 4 small children a 10 year old boy, 6 and 5 year old girls, and a 1 year old baby boy. My dads job requires him to work out of town a lot. Therefore I take care of my mom who suffered a ruptered brain aneurysm and then a stroke within hours of her surgery. My mom, myself,my husband, and our 4 children are now in campers on their property. My parents have always been there to pick me up and brush me off every time throughout my life. Please help get my mom and dad back into a safe home.

  4. Hello, My name is Savannah and I'm nominating my friend and her family. They live in a trailer with 5 people. 4 bed and 2 bath. The full bath is in the master bedroom. Which only the toilet and sink work. They have no wall or door covering the bathroom and it is very small. The other bathroom it torn apart. Mold, the walls are not painted nor covered with anything, multiple holes in the floor, no sink, the toilet almost falls over when you sit down. None of the walls in the house are insulated so during the summer they try hard to stay cool because they have no air conditioning in the house and we live in Florida so summer is pretty much all year around! And when It is cold they try their hardest to stay warm. Their yard is nothing but dirt. Their house is infested with rats and roaches. They've tried over three times to get rid of the bugs and bomb the house but it hasn't worked. You can't set your cup down for more than three seconds without having a big crawl in it and bugs crawl on you when sitting down. Their kitchen has the most roaches and bugs which is unhealthy. It is just unhealthy and breaks my heart I cry everytime I leave the house because they don't have the money to fix it. Her mom has medical problems that keep her from getting a job to help out and her step dad try's his hardest. I pray and pray that they get help. The walls are starting to fall apart and it is all scaring me so much. Please help this family.

  5. My name is Rachel Flath. I would like to nominate my mother. My mother is a fantastic hard working woman. I am currently 19 years old and she has been working full time for as long as I can remember. We moved into our home 17 years ago and it was a home affected in the flood of 93' that destroyed most of my hometown. When we moved in we noticed small issues, but my mother wanted to make it work. Over the years, it has became a nightmare living here. Me, my fiancee and our 4 year old daughter live with my mom. I work full time to help my mom, but its not enough. In the last 4 years alone, my mom has had to replace the furnance, the piping, and countless other things. Due to the flood, our home is growing black mold. We cannot afford to move. We have looked and looked. Pipes keep busting, and everything is slowly falling apart. I love my mom to death, and getting a home make over would be the best thing that has ever happened to my family. Please, consider us for this amazing chance to start our lives over. I would love to see my mom happy and be able to have my family in a home that is not dangerous to our health. Thank you.

  6. I am writing to you on behalf of my family. I live in northern Florida with my husband of 24 years, and two children who have special needs. Zachary is 9 and has autism and is low functioning. Carson is 11 and has ADHD. Since Zachary was diagnosed with autism back in 2007 we have spent all of our retirement and savings to help him with therapies and treatments. Because kids with special needs are tough on homes, we could use some help. We watch the various shows on TV where they do makeovers and could definitely use your help. My goal is twofold – to help my family have a home that is a retreat for them, AND to help other families who have special needs children to learn from how you renovate the house to make it functional & practical, and attractive as well. We would need special paint, no fumes, etc. materials that are environmentally friendly, i.e. natural flooring and/or carpet, and no abrasive chemicals. Any consideration you can give this request would be greatly appreciated.

  7. As I read over the above comments it breaks my heart that all of us are fighting for a spot so our lives are what seems to be, "easily fixed,' and I cannot believe how difficult the decision must be to decide or choose a few when so many people are in dire need of help. My story isn't any different or more sad than the others. I just speak for a 62 year old lady that is a survivor in this tough world. She gave birth to two sons and raised them herself after her husband left the three of them in dior need. She lost both her sons to suicide a year apart from the other. She is the only one left in her family, only one with her last name. She works as a cook in a kitchen of a bar that I work at. My work raised money for her and we bought clothes as well as other necessities. She needs to see the doctor for her joints and other check ups but refuses to go. The house she lives in allows snow to pile up in the winter and mice to live comfortably among her food. Her door never locked before we hired one to fix it. She won't go into her sons room and depression rules her existence. She has told me numerous times that if it wasn't for her faith in God, she would already have taken her life as well as her sons. No one deserves to live with this amount of misery. This is a shot in the dark for me to apply to this but she needs help more than anyone I know.

  9. My name is Deborah and I hope and pray that maybe you will see a need for my family to get a new home. I used to have my own apt. A nice place that I shared with my mom whom I asked to come live with me when she retired and had to sell her home in NY. She lived with me until her health started to decline a few years ago. I worked on weekends only doing a 32 hour work week in 2 days working the Baylor shift at my job. I worked as a mental health tech at a psych hospital facility (lockdown) for adolescents with severe behavior problems. These children were abused and in turn ended up in trouble. Anyway, so this worked quite well for me, loved my job, but as my mom's health continued to decline that became a bit hard for me. 32 hrs of work and then m on-the-go Friday caring for my mom. After some time I just wasn't able to do it any more alone, so sisters started to come and help. Eventually it took a toll on us all. I was then beginning to have my health issues and along with caring for mom, I wasn't doing my best at work. Finally I lost my job due to performance going down and last straw was scheduler made a mistake on placing my name back on the board to work over time. I knew I was approved to do an overtime, but when I checked the board before leaving work on Sunday night my name was taken off. To shorten that story she put my name back on, didn't call me, I didn't know and got fired for no call, no show. The document to prove it no longer existed mysteriously. So had to leave our place and it was in a way a help in order to be able to care fore my momma. We moved in with my sister who barely had room herself. But we made it work. Our plan was to get into a bigger place and take care of mom together. We did everything we could for her but one day I was fixing her lunch and she was on the couch and made a sound of pain. I ran over to her and she was slumping over. I called 911, did cpr, medics came, but she was gone. Her heart gave out. We have been struggling ever since to live comfortably. My health has declined quite a bit and I'm no longer able to work.and I've worked since I went into the military at 19 yrs old. I have very bad arthritis and it is just all through my body. I'm in the process of waiting for my disability hearing. The only income I have is $130.94 that I get from VA for disability. Recently my sister who I live with had to be rushed to the hospital from a very bad headache. Come to find out that she had bleeding in her brain from extremely high blood pressure. So that leaves only one person bringing in an income. That is my sisters fiance. It is very rough for him, and we struggle a lot, but not complaining. We just can't seem to be able to hold on to a place because there are a few of us living together. My sister and fiance, me, her three children , and her grandson who she had to adopt because his mom just went out one day while he was a baby and didn't come back til a month later. We need a place so bad!!! And just today the landlord who I've never seen before in this house that is falling apart says that we have a problem because the only name on the lease is my sisters fiance. This is a four bedroom home. So I'm pretty sure that we will be getting put out of here. I'm asking if you will please help us. My sister has given home to anyone that needed it, never being able to say no,and I hope that maybe somebody will say yes to us. We just want a place to call ours with no fear of being homeless or a burden to somebody else. Thank you for hearing our story.

  13. Hello, we want to apply for a home makeover for a family of 5 whose house we worked on when we owned our own construction business. Their house is falling apart and we started some of the work, but they ran out of money and we weren't able to finish. They were taken for $20,000 by another crew before us. Their roof is leaking, they only have 2 bedrooms, makeshift laundry room, electrical and plumbing not safe, rotting wood under house, siding has holes. We were really wanting to help this family, but their financial situation did not allow us to be able to. Please consider this family.

  14. My name is Jenifer Forgue and I wanted to submit an application for my Aunt and her family to be considered for a 2015 home makeover. About 5 years ago, my Aunt (Gail Vincent) was diagnosed with MS. She has a family of 7, including herself, her spouse and her wonderful 5 children. She is an amazing woman who gives the support, love and care to anyone she meets. This year, she was faced with the news that her son, Nathan Vincent (age 22) was diagnosed with ALS. The doctors have given him 3-5 years to live. Not only has this family been faced with my Aunt’s terrible illness, now they are faced with losing their young son/brother.
For many years, my family has raised thousands of dollars for charities and has also helped local families with their own hard times. My Aunt and her family deserve the same. The house they live in was built by them and family members about 27 years ago in Pittsfield, NH. They have lived in this house since the birth of their first son. As of right now, they have 6 people living in this house: Gail, Pat, Nathan (son), Kegan (son), Jaden (daughter) and Nick (son). Now, faced with having to remodel their home to accommodate Nathan’s illness and their still growing up children this is a huge financial burden for them to face.
Family and friends have stepped up to help them, but as you know that can only go so far. It would be great for someone to help my Aunt and her family achieve the proper house for her and her family to grow in as well as taking care of their recently ALS diagnosed son.
Please contact me if you need any further details.
    Thank you for your consideration!

  15. My name is Adrianna and I am seeking assistance for my family. I am a single mother with 6 children, ages 3, 6, 6, 7, 9 and 11. On the morning of 11.04.2014, my children and I were in our Phoenix home, rushing to get ready for school. As I was helping the children get ready, I heard a knock on the door. My uncle, who lived with us at that time, answered the door and told me it was my step-grandfather. My step-grandfather was recently released from prison and I had attempted to eliminate contact with him for our family’s safety. I told my uncle to not open the door but my step-grandfather kicked the door in and entered our home.

I ran towards the door and noticed that my step-grandfather had a gas can in his hand. My step-grandfather began to explain that he was going to burn the house down and then poured gasoline on the walls, countertops, furniture and, during his pouring, splashed me and my children with the gasoline. I begged him to stop until I got the children out of the house. The children were crying and screaming, asking “Papa stop!”. At this moment, I knew I needed to get the children out of the house. My uncle was struggling with my step-grandfather to keep him from igniting paper he was holding. I told all the kids to get their shoes and jackets and run. My oldest son was so brave and corralled his brothers and sisters and led them to the front yard. The older children circled around their youngest sister, protecting her from the smoke and doing their best to prevent her from seeing what was happening.

My step-grandfather ignited the home moments after the children left the house. But I saw that my 9 y/o daughter was not with the children. I began frantically looking for her, screaming out her name but there was no response. I found my daughter in her bedroom and led her out of the house. The children and I were outside while my uncle struggled to put out the flames. I will never forget the moment when I saw my step-grandfather pull out his neon green lighter and ignite a piece of paper, destroying my family’s home. My only thought was keeping my children safe. And I am thankful that we were able to escape the flames. My uncle suffered smoke inhalation when trying to put out the fire but was released from the hospital shortly after. What kind of man starts a fire in someone’s home, not caring that the children, his OWN grandchildren, are inside?

My step-grandfather stood in the street watching our home burn with a smile on his face. He was arrested shortly after the police arrived and is facing several charges. Our family is devastated since losing our home but we keep reminding one another that we are safe and together, and that is most important. The emotional trauma this has caused for the children is heart-breaking. My older children have been experiencing nightmares and have been wetting the bed. My youngest daughter keeps asking me if the bad man that put a fire in her house is going to come back and my 9 year old is afraid to even go outside or leave my side. Our family is able to receive mental health assistance but we have tirelessly been looking for help to rebuild our home and no one is able to assist. My house was left to me by my late grandmother and I did not have homeowner’s insurance. All repairs and building are going to be an out-of-pocket expense. I do not have the money to hire builders or contractors. Our family is without a home of their own. My children ask me, nearly every day, when they are allowed to go home. I desperately want to take my children home. I am asking for help to answer my children’s wishes. Please help our family. Any information or guidance to resources that can assist will be greatly appreciated.

    With thanks,
    Adrianna

  16. i would like to nominate my son and his wife for a home makeover. they have been together since they were teenagers and been through many hardships. he had two children by the time he was 18 and been struggling ever since. now they have four. anyway their house needs a remodel and they will never be able to afford it. they use extension cords to power heat and ac. the central heat and air went out years ago. their oldest daughter is away at college thanks to her scholarships and is an outstanding person. they put everything into their children and do without for themselves. we were talking the other day and he told me he watches your show and has to leave the room because his eyes tear up everytime they say "move that bus" because he wants it to be in font of his house. i have been estrangd from the family for many years because of my mother. anyway, i wish you would consider this struggling young famiy. they really do deserve a nice house. they have both always worked with no education so the jobs have never been high paying but they never give up. i love him so much and i can't help them. please consider them for a renovation. sincerly, nanette gay witt.

  17. Hi Ty ,I'm 14 years old and for the past 5 years I have watched my parents suffer a huge financial crisis. we have moved in 5 years ago and since then the bank takes 40% of my fathers salary (for no specific reason and were not getting it back) and the money that's left 90% goes to the house ,(I dont mean furnishing the house, the money goes on bills like electricity and water and other house bills) As a child since I was 9 years old I can see my parents suffering even though they try to hide it ,and there's still some stuff that are making them suffer even more that I don't know about. Our house doesnt look like it'll be fully furnished for a long time .Something that added to our case is that my grandma was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a year ago and when we thought she was fully cured it only got worse for her health ,I was devastated so was my parents it was a real sad event ,my mother has been travelling with her to help her and keep an eye on her and travelling it self has a price .There's still one thing that bothers me the most is the fact that my parents have worked so hard for a bright future for me and my siblings, they had plans to take us to see the world and give us a house to call home and the best education ,but there's nothing they haven't tried to make our situation better. The 10% that's left of my dads salary is used for the very basic things that we need to live on (not all the basics because that's unaffordable)and they give a generous amount to charity every month ,as there daughter I have cried myself to sleep every night from such a young age ,and I have watched them go through things that no human being ever has to put up with ,at the end of the day I just love them so much and I wish the house that's been causing them all these problems could actually Finnish and for me and my siblings to be able to call it a home.Last but not least it would literally mean allot to us if you would help us give our parents what they have always wanted ,and what would make this nightmare end.<3 -Sara Rashid

  18. Hello, I live in Indidna & currently work at a Wendy's off the interstate. One of my coworkers, Kyle recently went to ask his girlfriend out for prom. He had lit a bunch of candles to ask her out and they ended up burning through to his carpet and catching his whole house on fire. He and his family literally have nothing now. They're living in the hotel next door to work & it literally saddens me so much to see one of my coworkers/ friend and his family go through something like this. All that's left of his house are a few walls… All of their possessions, just everything was burned. People from work and even the owner have been doing as much as we can to help their family but I don't feel like even with all of our efforts we could give he & his family their house. Which is why I'm reaching out to you. PLEASE help this family!

  19. 20. Hi, my name is Chrystal Royal my family is currently living in a motel and has been living in the motel for 2 month's now. The reason we are living in a motel is because the last house we were living in was infested with mold and roaches, we asked our landlord if he could fix it but refused so we moved out so my 8 month old baby wouldn't get sick. I have 5 boys, twins that are 15 one of which has cerebral palsy. A 12 yr old, a 10 yr old and an 8 mo old who has epilepsy. We don't want pity or anyone to feel sorry or bad for us but we don't know what way to turn to ask for help. My husband is currently working, we have ssi but still have not found a house for our family size. We would appreciate your consideration. Thank you and God bless.

  22. Hello to all my name is William Ross and I am posting this comment in hopes of receiving an opportunity to have my family's house chosen for Extreme Makeover Home edition. I am a forty one year old father, husband and provider, I do not brag about these things, I am simply what God has created. I have been blessed to be married to the most beautiful-lest woman in the world Ammidah Ross, and we have four children. My wife is a teacher, that is soon to graduate with her second degree and I am a Industrial Spray Painter. You may say what is so unique about my situation, well despite the both of us attending college we are both seminarian students that will be graduating this June, and will be licensed and ordained minister, in the state of Pennsylvania. I also have four other children from a previous marriage, now the total is eight. But we have not stopped there, at times we have had to care for thirteen children in our home, just to keep them from going into the system. This May our oldest daughter will be graduating form college and one of our sons is completing his first year of college. My wife and I are in the beginning stages of building our non-profit organization called, "For Love Sake". This program will target in on inner city boys that have been in the system and we will provide them with a nurturing environment, with tons of experiences. We will provide there every need, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and also physically. Our belief is that, its a village to raise a child. Please help us help others, we cannot expect the government to do whats right, these are our babies! So again by renovating our property, would allow us to help and love on these children the more.

  25. Hello, Ty. I am a 16 year old girl, my name is Dyllan. I am from the small city of Flatwoods, Kentucky. Over the last couple years, things have seemed as if they just get worse. A little over two years ago, I lost my bestfriends. My papaw and my dad. My papaw passed on Valentine's Day, and a few short weeks later, my dad passed away on March 24th. And since then, everything has just went downhill. I live with my grandmother, (have lived with her my whole life.) Our house has been falling apart for quite awhile now. We have 4 bathrooms, and 6 bedrooms, and only one bathroom is accessible, we share the family one and it is awful. Only a few rooms are accessible too. The bathroom in the back bedroom, the toilet recently busted and flooded the room. Awhile back, the hot water tank had caught on fire and was gushing water. Now the floors are ruined and all the carpet is ripped up and destroyed. The only thing in my bathroom that works, is my sink. My bathtub won't drain water and my shower head doesn't work. It has been "fixed" many times, but it has never worked. I have no privacy, along with my other family members. I would love to have a bigger room. My room is too small for my things, I have nowhere to put my clothes or my shoes. I would love a room that sureounds me with memories and things that remind me of my dad, that will also make me feel at ease. There is quite a few more flaws about the house, but I don't want to take up all of your time. There is one more thing I have to tell you.. Our house recently caught on fire, Saturday, March 14, 2015. We have no house to live in now. Thankfully, we didn't lose our entire house, but we lost a good majority. Our kitchen, living room, dinning room, tv room, hallway, and spare bedroom. Every wall in our house is black now. The doors are burned, the ceiling is falling down, all of our things are burnt and melted, you can look up and see inside our attic. We lost our dog of 14 years and our African Grey, bird. There has been so many things that have went wrong recently, and it breaks my heart. The house I've lived in my whole life, is burnt and torn apart. I not only want to be happy, but I want my grandmother to be happy, also. She has been through so much and I would do anything to see a smile on her face instead of tears. She deserves the best and I wish I could give her that. I would love for her to have a room specially made for our two birds. Our cockatoo and Mccaw. And her love for fish. We lost all of ours do to the fire. They also have no place to go and are crammed with little space. We are praying for a miracle. It would be so awesome if you could read this or even better, respond. I'd love to tell you more.
    Thank you, God bless.
    -Dyllan.

  26. To whom it may concern,
We're not commenting on here to say we're more deserving but our life is a struggle everyday. We live in the country in a 100+yr old house. My husband have 2 autistic children living at home now. My daughter is high functioning and other health issues as well as seizures. Our son is low spectrum with severe ocd.It is a challenge everyday whether it's to go to doc appts or therapy or pediatric neurologist. Medicaid covers some but not all the things they need with sensory issues, ocd, equipment etc and these things are just too much for us to get. I have filled out grants after grants , foundations to try to help and nothing or no money to help at this time. Our house is small with limited room and it's hard at time to even keep an eye on our kids.We my husband and i got married together we have a total of 7 kids besides the 2 younger ones my husband's son has cerebral palsy and it's very hard to have him even come to the house let alone get him inside with comfort. My husband is also disabled from an elevator shaft falling 40 ft and crushing both legs and has alot of issues with walking, getting into the shower , moving around. It would be a blessing beyond anything we could ever imagine to have something /someone help if giving the opportunity. Thank you !

  27. My name is Yvette Acevedo, I am a daycare provider In the city of Reading Pa. One of the poorest city in Pennsylvania. As a provider, I am always looking to improve the quality of care for our children Which I care for, while their parents are at work or school. Most of our children don't have that blessing of going on yearly vacations or fun places or participate in going out to movies, out to eat such as to McDonald etc, that's why I try to give them some of what they missing out on. Two years ago I purchase a building where I believe I could had better improved the quality of care. While under construction the constructor hired to do several of the jobs in this building ran off with $87000 leaving us without enough funding to finish this project. It was a set back and a total nightmare. It's been two years and I had to refinance my home and borrowed money from friends and family In order to complete this project. We have since then finish the inside part of the building and I will continue to move forward until it's fully completed. However, our funding is very limited that we will be unable to do the playground area. Most of our children come from single parents with low income, parents are unable to provide special outing on weekends for their children. I try to provide each summer special activities or field trips for the children such as trips to fun places but with limited funding we will not be able to provide these special trips this summer. And with the playground not being completed this summer our children will be left with out enjoying the out door activities. Applying for help from funding, if granted we can finish this project and give a little extra to our children. That's my dream to make these children smile.

  28. Hello. My name is Chesney and I would like to nominate a very thoughtful and wonderful woman in my life for an extreme home makeover.

I would like to nominate my Aunt, Inga. If anyone is deserving of a home make over, it would be her!

Inga owns her own business. She is the proud owner of Pet Food Store in Central Florida. Her business sells a wide variety of all natural pet food, treats, and toys. They even deliver it for free. She is an animal lover who gives back as much as possible to different charities in our community.

She has had a very difficult year this past year. She lost two very special women in her life. These women were her aunts. They were very close and this was extremely hard for her. I know how important my aunt is to me. I would be devastated I had to go through this same hurt.

Not even one month after this, while my aunt was out of town for business, she received the most difficult and utterly shocking news of her entire life.

Her husband of over 20 years has died suddenly. While working at their business, he had a major heart attack and passed away when he made it to the hospital.

She never was able to say goodbye.

Also during this time, she lost her beloved pet, Mugs. Mugs was a rescued bull terrier that had the best personality. He was a very goofy and funny dog.

She has overcome so much in such a little bit of time. With everything going on in her life, her home has been falling through the cracks

Her house could be a beautiful home. It just has been neglected as there is so much to do and not enough time in the day. She works so hard to keep her business open and profitable. My uncle, Inga’s husband, did a lot of the work keeping up the home. Without his help, the house has become too big and unmanageable for her alone.

If anyone is deserving of a home makeover, it is my aunt.

    Thank you for this opportunity.

  30. Hi I am Katie Bundy, me and my husband have currently moved in with our friend and his parents to help them get by with bills and food. They live in a 2 bedroom house. There are 2 disabled members in the family. Nancy witch is the mother is physically disabled. Shr walked with a walker and this house just isn't that stable for her. There living from celing witch is there bedroom has recently fell in. The floors in the bathroom are weak in spots. There son sleeps in the basement witch has alot of leaks. The cooling system is built into the house so they are unable to get a new one or have it cleaned so it lets out clean air. She also have a sister who is mentally disabled. Me & my husband sleep in there living room and dining room area. Our 4 month daughter sleeps in a very tiny room because it isn't big enough for anyone else. There mother is in need of alot of help because it is hard for her to get around in this house because she has a spine issue. She had had numerous surgeries to try to help nothing has worked. The husband of Nancy is currently going to training to get back out on the road as a truck driver. The son can't have a job really because hr has to watch his mother to make sure she doesn't fall. They have 1.4 acres to rebuild a new house. But is also impossible with being on disability. They have no carpets I'm there house. Ceiling is also very week in other parts of the house. There kitchen is very unstable. The stove sometimes doesn't like to work. The cabinets are weak. There shower is slowly falling down. I do not think the air they the mother breathes is good air. The son has asima so it isn't good for him either. My husband is currently working at Denny's to help with the bills we are renting them furniture and a few other things because they do not have the money to buy it them selves. They only make about $1400 a month to get by. They never have money in the middle of the month to spend on things they need because of there bills. They are always getting help from churches and family members just to have food on the table a night. Please consider on helping this family. They are located in Paoli, Indiana. Thank you. Hope to be hearing from you and your crew soon.

  32. My name is Jessica Johnson and for years my mother has been living in a house that was built by her parents. Every winter, we have troubles with having no water to take a shower or anything with and the floor in so many different places is falling. The bathroom is the worst because the commode is sinking into the floor and there are holes in the floor. I used to live with her until I couldnt stand living in that environment anymore. My mother has enough trouble paying bills let alone try to fix what needs fixing in the house. I am afraid one day while my mother is inside the house, somewhere the whole floor is just going to give way and the house will fall on top of her. I hope you can help and thank you for at least reading this.

  33. Hi, Im 37 years old and currently living with my mom now. My step-dad pass away now going on 2 years. My mom was having health issues and memory lost. My step-dad told me that the house would be paid for and I wouldnt have to worry about anything for my mom. Well, the house was behind several payments and cause mom to stress and house going to foreclouser if we didnt do anything. I had to write and send death certificate and reapply to help mom by lowing the house payments to where she can afford to pay. When they lower house payments its like we have to start all over buying the house $75,000.00. The house is falling apart to were I'm hammering the fence up, painting over stuff to make house nice, cabinets in kitchen are loose and old, the wash room is horrible. The hose been under a flood. The house electrical is bad and we are scared to plug stuff up. Two rooms are very hot in summer and always cold when its cold outside. We hear the house making noises as if its a old house. I had to move in with mom to help her as much as I can. I have a daughter and she not understanding why I move in with granny when our apartment was up to date. I had to take the back shack down due to falling apart and when it rain it floods in there. We had to throw all storage items out. We have no place to put our staorage items. We just have it sitting up against the house back yard. Please help me and my family with this matter.

  34. Hi my name is Amanda and I am writing on behalf of my closest friend Stacie. I've know her for about 4 years now and she's a wonderful Christian lady and always has a smile on her face no matter what. In September of 2013 she lost her mom suddenly and took on responsibility of taking care of her older brother Jamie who is disabled with several different disabilities. Exactly a month later she had a heart attack and was hospitalized for several days. After she recovered from that things got back to normal until her grandmother passed away. Once that happened she was suppose to relieve some help that she didn't get so her husband worked all he could but he is older and has some health problems. Once he found a job in Paintsville Kentucky they moved there so they could better support themselves. A week after there move he was layed off from that job. A couple of weeks past and he found a job selling insurance. They sent him to Chicago for a week of training and at the end of that week he was found in the restroom floor. He was rushed to the hospital where they found that he had a very bad stroke. They had to put a stint in his brain, a drain for the fluid, a feeding tube, he had paralysis on his left side, a blood clot in his left leg and pneumonia as well. He spent several weeks there in the hospital and was finally brought back to Kentucky for rehab. He was recently released from there this past Friday and is making progress. It's gonna take some time for him to get well so he has filled for help but hasnt received any yet. When they came home it was to stay with whoever had room for them because they do not have a home right now. Financially they just can't afford anything and really need help. This would be such a blessing to them if they could receive this help.. So please help them to get a home that they deserve. Both are disabled and need a home with that accessibility..

The house is so in need of many repairs and is not. Suitable for her aging husband who needs.hip replacement and handicap accessibility. The youngest of the children has asthma and.keeps upper infection, my niece also has the same. They continue to have bresthing treatments. The water damage over the.years and mold in the walls have played a big factor in there.lives. the kids are unable to play Outside because of the fear that they will get snake bite or fall into an old pound thsts adjacent to the sdie.of the house. The children ages 7 and 9 sleep with there grandmother because she is scared that fire will take hd.of the upstairs because of wiring conditions that are not safe. 37. Family of 8 about to homeless..
My name is Alexis Palmer, I'm 17 years old. But I have a son, I had him at 15, of course it was a young age and my mom basically had to do everything for me and him. I come from a strong family of 7. I have 3 brothers and one sister. All younger. Ages from 7-15 and then me and my son. My dad walked out when I was 10, I had to step up then and be the stay at home mom when my mother was working all night and day to support us. Then a year later my mom met my step dad. They have been together 5 years. Let's face it, some man you have to be take on 5 children. But no matter what, it's like life knocks us down. In the last couple years we have moved more than 10 times. It's just hard, it's hard to keep a roof big enough for 8 people. I'm to young to pitch in to much, and me having a son puts that much more stress on everything. Even though it's all been so hard, I can honestly say seeing my mother cry every night is the hardest thing I have to deal with. Listening to her cry about where we're going next, or what were going to do.. She does tree work, she's almost 40 but that is the only way we can survive. Is if she risks her life everyday to take care of us, her and my step dad both trying their best to dribble 5 kids and a grand kid. One of my brothers just got diagnosed with ticks. My sister is also on her way to be considered as the doctors say "special" and even more problems with my youngest brother. Down to the main thing, were about to be Homeless yet again. We have stayed here and there and everywhere with friends , with family. We get on our feet and knocked way way down.. Our landlords are evicting us because we don't fit in this neighborhood, were down to earth rednecks as you would say, mudding hunting fishing, just plain country folk. And everyone in our neighborhood is trying to get rid of us, sadly… Their winning.. Their all very rude rich people driving BMW's they have their noses high and their checks higher, because they have money and we don't, they look down on us.. We're just trying to survive. That's all.. . We have till April to leave, and no where to go, I'm begging you. I'm sure their is many other people in worst condition, and you probably won't look twice or even once at this comment, but I figured it was worth a shot. We don't even need one of those huge houses, just something simple , something manageable something that we can call OURS and not have to worry about how to keep the power on the next month, how to worry about when the next time we have to move again is.. I literally put pictures up in my room with tape, because it's easy to pull off, because I know when something good happens, it doesn't last long.. I can't take my mom crying to me every night, she feels as if she has failed as a mom. Because we move here there and everywhere and barley get by on anything.. We survive with the help of gods helping hand. I honestly don't see how she does it, but a person can only fight for so long. If you would please at least contact me anyone, and let know this message was seen. Just to know I didn't do this for nothing. I may be only 17, but I've had grow up way to fast. Everyone breaks and my moms almost there, I'm almost there, it's too much stress for me. And I'm worried to death about my mom.. And I'm tired of being tired, I'm tired of my family struggling. Anyone contact me and just let me know someone out there read this. It would be a tremendous blessing for help.

Lots of love, the girl that's held it together for way to long.

  38. Recently we have been advised thee home we have been living in for awhile is possibly being sold. Our oldest son is quiet physically disabled. 39. I am single dad raising two girls and living with my parents currently till I can get out of debt and buy a house. I am Shawn Brown and this is my family ABC. A soldier in the army for 11 years retired on medical board 15 DEC 2015. I suffer from a broken back, bad knees, sleeping issues, and mental health issues like PTSD. I deployed to Iraq where I worked in the hospital caring for our nations hero's and enemies. Near the end of my time in the army being medically retired seeing how you helped the military family out I'm hoping you will do the same for me. I am currently going to school under post 9/11 bill to be a pharmacy technician at Southern State Community College. I have helped out friends and family by donating my time and money asking for nothing back. I do it cause a random act of senseless kindness is needed in this world today. I am seeking that same kindness from you ABC in helping me find a home to remodel or site build a home on to hopefully keep my kids in the same school district. My kids keep on me about saving for a house and even offer to help with the change they found from my pockets. Please help me ABC give my kids and me a home we can call our own if you can.

    Thank You ABC,

Sincerely Shawn Brown and the Brown Family

  40. Hi, my name is Brandi Holloway. My husband and I have been married since 2011. We are loving and caring people. Since our marriage we have had a few family members that needed help or a place to stay and of course we opened our house up to them. We lived in a fixed upper mobile home, but we loved our home, it was ours. In April of 2013, my grandfather (whom is widowed) needed some help due to medical issues from diabetes. It starts with the amputation of 4 toes, months later it's amputation above the knee. As we adjust to this lifestyle, he has a heart attack which requires stints in between his previous triple bypass. Then in November 2014 he has a sore on is toe and the day before Thanksgiving he loses his only leg left to stand on. My grandfather served in the Navy in the 50's but doesn't qualify for much VA benfits. I am 28 years old and my husband is 31. We don't have any children of our own due to fertility issues as well as stress, but we took on 2 teenagers and love them dearly. I work 2 jobs and do all I can to hold this house we live in, which was my great grandparents, together. It's not handicap accessible for my pawpaw, and we all (5) share one bathroom. Pawpaw is set up in the living room. My husband had been diagnosed with Vertigo recently and has been sick. He's the one who stays home to help man handle and lift my pawpaw. To and from wheelchair, recliner, commode, etc. Without him I lost… I too have had a really bad case of sinusitis, repeatedly, since we've moved in. Ironically, a local pest control called and offered a Free estimate for our house. When he comes out, he kindly tells us our house is condemnible from YEARS AND YEARS of termite damage and the MOLD is from back to front as far as the eye can see. I'm embarrassed but also know this may have a lot to do with our sicknesses. We are the kind of people that would rather do for others than to ask for anything. I'm truly stepping out and asking, praying, for help of some sort.I don't need fancy, I'm simple. Please consider my family. There is so much more to tell but I don't look for sympathy or pity so I summed it. We want to have our own child one day but I'm scared to raise child in this termite and mold infested house. Thank you for your time. SINCERELY, Brandi Holloway and Family

  41. I'm writing on behalf of my mom. In the early 90's she was working third shift for the city police department. That year was a nasty winter and the town was covered in Ice. While checking local businesses she took a bad fall on the ice and injured her back and caused sciatic nerve damage. That didn't hold her back, she continued to work until 2004 at full capacity. While I was overseas serving in the Navy I got word my mom would be forced into early retirement because her health wouldn't allow her to continue. Being a police officer was always her dream. She worked hard and became detective before being forced to retire. For years she was undergoing pain management therapy and receiving epidural injections just to find comfort. After my enlistment was up I moved back to my hometown to be closer if she needed assistance. Most months we would set up a make shift bed on the floor of her living room because sleeping in a bed became unbearable. She was forced to using a bedside toilet because her only bathroom was on the second story of her home. If she managed to get up the stairs she was confined to only her bedrooma f'n bathroom leaving her unable to access her kitchen which was on the main floor of her home. For the last few years we've tried keeping up on the daily maintenance of her home but now with plumbing issues and leaving roof I fear her house is going to fall apart around her. She's the strongest woman I know. Her drive and determination makes her an amazing role model and I wish there was more I could do for her. this winter dropped a lot of snow in our town, and at 7 months pregnant i was still out there shoveling her drive. But I'm to the point I can't do as much as I want, so this is my cry of help to you! She desperately needs a more handicap accessible house. She needs an extreme home makeover so her bedroom a bathroom and laundry can all be on one level and not force her to climb two flights of stairs. Please help! This woman spent 30 years helping others, I would do anything to see her get something back!

  44. My name is Catherine Case and I am writing on behalf of my 20 year old son and his 4 year old daughter. We live in Redwood City, California. My 20 year old son, Patrick Fisher and his 3 yr old daughter, Haylie, need your help and support now more than ever. Patrick suffered a traumatic brain injury on May 14, 2014 from a motor vehicle accident while coming home from college. Patrick is not like most kids and he saved my life 4 years ago when I suffered a major seizure from dehydration due to a surgical complications from an ileostomy. I have since recovered for the most part and I am now Patrick's care taker and working full-time to make it all keep going. Patrick suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury, multiple pelvic fractures, bruised internal organs, multiple contusions and lacerations. Doctor's did not expect him to live through the night but, Patrick showed all that he is a fighter. He has spent 2 months in the Neuro ICU both in and out of an induced coma, had brain surgery, pelvic surgery, cranial drains, chest tubes, tracheotomy and other tubes. He Patrick was hospitalized for 10 months and recently arrived home. Patrick started walking with a cane and a brace, on his right leg for short distances but, his right side is severely affected. He can say a few words, but is trapped in his own body. I am making do but, our house is not handicap friendly and I can't afford to convert it with the $1,600 a week in caretaking expenses. We desperately need your help to convert our house so that Patrick can be more independent, Haylie has a place to sleep and I can move my younger brother into our home so that he can help me take care of Patrick and Haylie.

Patrick's full story is on both Utube and Go Fund Me:

  45. Hello

My name is Amber. I am in desperate in need of help and I don't know if I will have any luck but we will give it a shot. I live in a three bedroom home with my eight year old son, my boyfriend, my parents, my brother and my two sisters. My dad is completely disabled after numerous back and neck. surgeries. My father recently took a fall and was airlifted to a hospital about four hours from here where they told him he will never walk again, the problem is when this happened we were in the process of renovating the house to try and make it more accessible for him since the fall and him being in a wheelchair now all of those plans came to a stop. This house is not workable for this many people, nor is it handicap accessible for my dad. My mother works as his personal care assistant but all of us children had to move home to help take care of our father when my mother is unable to. We take shifts all night long getting him What he needs. My boyfriend son and I live in the attic and have tried finishing up some of the renovations on our own but it's just too much. I know that there are a lot of people out there that need help but our family is in desperate need of a miracle!!

  47. Dear Extreme Makeover Team: I have commented once already and I have submitted something for an application but Im unsure if youve gotten anything. My fiances Uncle Dave is in need of a home makeover. Hes in his fortys and hes been trying for five years to get a surgery that he needs to survive. Hes over 500 pounds and is living in a 2 bedroom singlewide with two of his sons and his wife. His wife Crystal is the only one working with a salary of >35000 a year. She also needs a surgery done but hers is for her gullbladder. The boys are old enough to work but they cant because they have to stay home to help their Dad get around and to help him with his grandson that is there for the majority of the time. Dave helps everyone he can. He has two nephews living in motor homes on the side of him and another son living in a small home built from a shed. Their families live with them as well. Dave is in need of some help and Im asking for help from you guys to be so kind and give Dave his dream home. He deserves it with all the help he has given now and in the past.

  49. My name is Latasha Cook and here's my story. My husband Anthony and I have been together for 18 years. We have 2 beautiful children Anthony Jr. 15 and Aaliyah 6. We purchased our first home in June 2006. We were so happy! It needed work but we were glad to get out of an apartment. Then life happened. I was downsized from my job 2 weeks before we closed on the house. I then became a Realtor and thought I would make money so we could fix our house. Next came bankruptcy and foreclosure. We hung in there and Nov 2014 we received a letter from our mortgage company saying that they were releasing the deed to our home! Now here we are again 8 years later with no way to fix it up. I know our story is not as bad as some of the others but we would be grateful for a chance to receive the home makeover.

  50. Hello, my name is Rasul Bivins and I am writing you on the behalf of my family. We are currently dealing with the loss of our beautiful 4 month old daughter who unexpectedly passed away on February 25, 2015. We have two other children who are 3 and two who knows that their baby sister is no longer with us. We live I a 2 bed room home that I have spent my whole life in as a child but the house is not in condition to raise a family and we currently don't have the funds to do everything we need to do to make it suitable for our kids and more comfortable for us because everything is a reminder of our daughter Aniyah Elizabeth Walker-Bivins. Our kids currently share a bedroom that is too small for the two of them. We have be thinking about moving but we can't afford to do so at the moment. We just want better for our kids and we want to remove the pain from losing out precious daughter at such a young age. If you could find it in your hearts to help our family it will help remove some of the bad memories we have here and help rebuild new ones.. I am praying that this reaches who it needs to because I new beginning is exactly what my family needs. Thank you for atleast listening to our story.

  51. Hi my name is Lois. I am writing this with all my heart for my daughter Stevi. She is my rock, my life line. Her life has been hard. As a child she became care giver to her little brother and father. Her father suffered from mental illness and she help me take care of him. I worked and she watched her brother and got him off to school and feed and dressed him. As my husbands illness hit some very manic times she stood by us and help me try and fight our way through it. She bought a house right next to me to be close because at time my husband was hard to control and she had to be close. She live with me while making her house livable. But at this time my father was diagnosed with stag 4 lung cancer. He was very scared of dying alone. She gave her grandpa a promised he would not die alone. And he didn't she moved him in with us all 5 of us. Her two daughters, her dad and I. She turned the front room into a hospital room and brought him home where he die surrounded by people who loved him. For 3 weeks she slept beside him and cared for him. That was 2006. Then in 2009 her dad died in a terrible car accident our family was in term olé. But Stevi was who pulled us through its been a very hard struggle. After her dad died is when she decided to return to school and become a nurse. She has a full time job as a visiting nurse and has return to school to further her education, while raising 2 teenage daughters alone. She has always put others before her and taken care of everyone in need. She needs help combining our 2 house holds into one (her house and mine sit right next to each other)one set of utility's and taxes. Her house or mine is not large enough for us to live together. So we really need them both combined. It would not have to be fancy just a comfortable home for us together.

  52. Hi, my name is Meghin Webb and I am 16 years old and I am reaching out to yall in hope of some feedback. I am hoping to get my grandmother Mary Jones a home make over. She's been through so much over the past 3 years. On January 22, 2013 we lost my cousin(her grandson) and he was born 36 hours apart from me. And she would always keep him every weekend at her house. He was disabled and he had cerebral palsy and he meant a lot to my grandmother. And it has changed her tremendously when he passed away. She is a hardworking, loving person and I would give her the world and when I get older and become successful I will do just that but right now I am starting dual credits in high school to go to college at the same time. She is a loving mother of three, in which one being my mother Wendi Jones. She lives in a very old trailer with 3 small rooms. Two in which she doesn't use except for storage because the mold is so bad and the roof is falling in due to mold in the middle room. One of the two bathrooms is closed off and the other bathroom the sink doesn't work in. The insulation is hanging under the trailer. There are cracks that shoe the roof is falling in. She stays warm by a wood burning stove in which sometimes she runs out of wood. The floor that has been replaced already is falling apart. The house is just all together falling apart. She works at a truck stop in Terrell Texas called TA and she works night shift that way she can help my mom with my little brother and I because my mom currently does not have a job. She makes enough to barely get her bills taken care of. She owns her property and has an old house that fell apart and needs to be tore down but she just doesn't have the money to do it. She is constantly getting sick. She does not come of as in need because she is so generous, she would give you the clothes off of her back but she is the person who is in need the most and none of my family can help her. So I was reading through all the stories and some come off as way worse than my life and probably are. But I wish I could just sit down with whoever reads this and make them understand how bad my grandma needs this. God Bless you all as I read through these stories and understand there are people with problems everywhere and I am praying for a positive outcome in whichever it may be. Thank you for your time.

  54. Hello, I am a parishioner of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church St. Louis, MO. Our church building is desperately in need of repairs. Fr. Ochoa, our parish priest, was informed by the Archdiocese that the parishioners need to be creative in raising the funds for repairs which has prompted me to contact Extreme Home Makeover, (in addition to "This Old House"). St. Cecilia’s has been “designated” as the Hispanic parish in St. Louis. As you may know, St. Louis has a very large Hispanic population but the majority do not have the funding for such repairs. Please visit our website at stceciliaparishstl.org to see our beautiful, historic church building. Please consider visiting us in person and help us save our church. Thank you.

  55. To whom it may concern, I know a family who has helped so many people in our community. The father has just been diagnosed with lymphoma cancer and possibly Crest disease which is a very rare disease there is no cure for. They have insurance but, they have to still pay 20% each time they go in for chemotherapy. The cost they have to pay out of pocket is $3500 each visit which is 7,000 a month because he has to go twice a month for 6 months. The dad has a very low immune system and their house is not in the greatest condition. Please help us give back to them. Sincerely yours, Erika Knox

  56. I am writing this in regards to my aunt Amy and uncle Daren. About a year ago, my uncle Daren was diagnosed with ALS. Since then, my aunt Amy has been driving the school bus just to make ends meet. They have had a lot of support from our community, but have also been done wrong in many ways. I feel like this precious family just can't catch a break. They are currently living in a double wide home, which is constantly needing to be repaired in order to make things easier for Daren to get around in his chair. Personally, I can't think of a more deserving family to have a home makeover. So please, from the bottom of my heart, consider my aunt and uncle for this once in a life time opportunity. Thank you!

  57. My husband and I have managed to save our home from foreclosure for our oldest daughter and granddaughter. We have not lived in the home in over a year. After the loss of my daughter's fiancé and my granddaughter's father, my daughter moved out because she was unable to be there. She has since been remarried and living with her in-laws. She is ready to take over the property and make it a home for her new young family. Unfortunately, the damage that has been done to this home will take her lots of money, permits and contracting which she cannot afford. I would love to see this home transformed for her and my grandchildren. She is such a kind hearted young woman and great mother. I would love to see a miracle happen to help her get her family settled, and a place for my grandkids to call home.

  58. our name is David & Lois , We have some friends that lost their home to a fire in Jan.they have been living in a friends back room while they try to make money to rebuild. 7 people all disabled. we feel that they deserve a new home. even now they still help others when they need it. It would be a blessing if they could be on extreme home make over. ty David & Lois

  59. Hi, my name is Bridget and I am writing on behalf of my Aunt. She and her family live in a raised ranch and it's absolutely falling apart, literally, falling apart. Their house got struck by lightening twice a few summers back and the insurance only covered part of the damage. Their septic tank just went, their chimney is still damaged from the lightening, their roof is leaking, their back deck is unusable due to safety hazards… I could go on… They just can't ever seem to get ahead.
She was a stay at home mom when my cousins were younger and her husband worked his whole adult life until he got hurt and had to take time out of work. When he finally recouped and could work again, his job was no longer available. They started their own landscaping business that just about pays the bills and not much more. My aunt is the most loving, welcoming, glass half full (no matter the situation) person I know… To the point where her (now adult) children, their significant others, and 5 grandchildren still live at her house because she doesn't have the heart to tell them to move out. She is sacrificing her golden years to continue to help her children. She gives and gives and it's her time to finally receive.
The stress of her home falling apart around her is starting to take a toll on her health and happiness. She deserves this opportunity. Please pick my aunt, you won't regret your decision.

  60. My name is Laura Dearborn,I'm currently 17 years old and I'm begging for help for my grandmother Elva Borden. My grandmother is the most kind hearted women you could meet. We lost my grandfather back in 2002 from a heart attack. Not only did the loss affect my grandmother and her 6 kids but, it affected her home. She's 68 and currently living in a three bedroom trailer with myself, my mother and my two younger siblings, my 12 year old sister and 5 year old brother. She has been living with no running water for almost 3 years now. Her floors are slowly rotting due to water damage from the roof. And there are countless spots that have been leaking water from the roof. In order to flush her toilet we have to buy water to pour down the flush. She's been living of one paycheck a month it is extremely hard for her to get anything to fix the problems in her home. My gram is a hard working women, she wakes up early every morning to wake my siblings up for school while my mother works all night. And in the afternoon she watches my two younger siblings and three cousins while my uncle is in college. She has never asked anyone for help and never would, so I'm asking for her. Please help my gram live in a home she deserves!

  62. Hi our names are Tammy Elaine Lynn and Lucille. Our Mom is 64 years old and a handful of years ago she bought her first home. She is single and has no way of affording the changes and repairs her home needs. Mom raised us four girls as a single parent and has always done her best to provide and care for us. Life for Mom was often a struggle. Just barely making ends meet. We would love the chance to show our gratitude to her by eliminating a huge stress in her life. Which would be her home makeover. Just to mention a portion of Mom's hardships, She has endured much pain and grief throughout her life stemming from blame, emotional physical and mental abuse. And with all this pain and heartache she still raised us with a smile on her face. She has worked hard all her life to give us a good life and we just want to help her back. Her home is slowly coming apart. Wall and additions are pulling away from the house. Her basement leaks water from the crack in her foundation. Even with all that on her mind she is always there for everyone that needs her. She has helped nurse three of her siblings back to great health without a single complaint. She herself has even suffered a mild heart attack, and nobody knew. She went through it alone for many years.
Please help us help our mother. She means everything to our hearts!!

  64. Dear Ty and crew,
My daughter, Lindsay, bought a charming old fixer-upper farmhouse on 4 acres in a farm community in Massachusetts and has been working hard on it. She has fallen in love with a wonderful man named Josh. Josh was in a snowmobile accident as a teenager and is now quadriplegic. Lindsay has redone the bathroom and doorways to accommodate him and they are working on the rest of the house as they can afford. Lindsay purchased a used lift so Josh would be able to get in and out of the house by himself with his wheelchair. This winter the snow was so bad that even though Lindsay kept it shoveled away from the lift, it malfunctioned and stopped halfway down on one frigid day while Josh was on it. Thankfully he had his phone with him and was able to call 911. They have big plans for making the house more handicapped accessible and building a breezeway to the garage so Josh can get to his van for work without fighting the weather. They are embracing farm life and have a sweet dog, a cat, some backyard chickens, a rabbit, some mini farm animals and are hoping to adopt a donkey this summer. Lindsay is an elementary school teacher and has become quite the handywoman. Josh works in marketing and loves tractors, hoping to someday retrofit one so he can ride again. Some of the other entries are heartbreaking and I know you can't choose all but this young couple could really use your help. Thank you.

  65. Hello

I'm emailing you on behalf of my mother, she lost her home today due to fire by arson. She was not home when it happened but she lost everything she had including her 4 dogs. She is unable to work due to health issue and does not receive any government assistance. This was her home since 1979 in which she raised all ten of her children. Is there anything you can do to help my mom? Please let me know

  66. Hi my name is Shasta me and my husband Cody have two kids a boy and a girl…we own a double wide trailor and we have done some work but it seems the more we do my more it needs… Our life has turned around every since our daughter was attacked by a pit bull last year….since then Our house seems to have went down hill please help us make this house a home again…

  67. My name is Diane, I am writing in reference to my small family. As a senior in high school I became pregnant with my first child, a yr later I had my second child. I was a single working mother providing everything my two little ones needed a month after having my second child. I was a customer service rep until my daughter (3 yrs old) had to undergo emergency appendix surgery. At that moment is when I had to stop work and be at the hospital full time for my daughters recovery. Juggling my daughter and son in the hospital room as I didnt have much help. At that time I lost my apartment and job. We are currently living in a home I grew up in. The only thing is that half of the home has no lights. We are all in one room bc the other rooms need work done. I've manajed to paint the inside a bit but it is extremely hard and costly for a single mother. Walking through our home there are many things that could be repared. All I would want is a humble home were my children can be happy and safe. Were they can go in their room and sleep great at night. Not having to worry about mommy walking with them at night to the restroom bc no lights are available in that area of the home. My kids are filled with joy, however it is hard for myself knowing we are living in a home that we might as well call a half home. We have no heat and no ac. In winter it gets real cold, summer real hot with cracks that leave wind and heat to come in. It is also a bit depressing waking up knowing you aren't financially stable to give your little bunches a much efficient home. I've watched the show plenty of times, my dad would always say to see what they require. At this moment all I can say is that having a few improvements to our home or even a makeover will be an extreme blessing in many ways. I am currently 21, and I'm striving to give my little ones the world bc they deserve it. I say deserve it bc we have been through so much. In so little time. It seems as if everything is constantly going downhill. However we are strong and will have faith. Love is what keeps is going and all we can do is dream of improvements we can make slowly in the near future in our home. Extreme Home Makeover Edition this would be one huge blessing!

  70. I haven't had the best life but it can always be worse. I am thankful for what I've been blessed with. I had a brain tumor removed in 2001 and it has grown back and I am currently waiting to see if I need treatment or if the doctors want to wait and watch. I have a beautiful seven year old daughter that was molested while I was working by a trusted family members grandson when she was only four. It devastated me. I gave up my career and have been struggling since to provide a secure and safe atmosphere for my daughter. I have now meet the man of my dreams and am planning to marry him this year, and have never been happier. My daughter and I are moving into his house, and it needs more room to accommodate us. This is a fresh start for all of us, and it's not something I can easily afford to do some in not employed because of my illness. This would be a dream come true. I've read other stories, and I know others need this far more than I do. Thank you. I appreciate your time, god bless you!

  71. My niece Teresa Moore needs a new house, I cant say she needs it anymore than any of the people already posting and applying, but I can say it would make great TV. Arianna her daughter is the one who wanted to apply, she is a big fan of the show and has talked to me about it for years. Teresa has over 500 facebook friends, and the community is behind her, when their roof was leaking the community helped put on a new roof a couple of years ago. I think if you look into her situation you will find a good show. THank you.

  75. Hello I am writing you about my sister-in-law and her family. Rhonda is a strong person and the last couple of years has taken a toll on her strength and faith. She has gone through breast cancer, heart surgery, and several other health issues and still has raised her family and done what she could while traveling back and forth from Maryland to Tennessee. They have had to put their dream home on hold due to her illness. They had bought property to build their home on in Sweetwater Tn but have had to live in a camper. Recently she has had some more health issues which now has really brought her spirits down. It would be wonderful if you could help them build their dream home. This couple have been strong and their for other people and I would love to see it come back for them.
