Hi my name is sarah rokicka. I live in trainer, Pennsylvania. I would like to start off with how this would really help my mom but also would like to know if you could help my uncle to. I am the middle child of six and I am very worried about my parents and my uncle and aunt. You see my mom has COPD and it hurts her going up the stairs and moving around to much. I would love to see a day where she don't have to craw up the stairs to go to bed. Also I'd like if you helped my uncle to you see he had an heart attack and he can barely see he always falls going up and down the stairs. You see me aunt and uncle live not that close to us so I would like the opertunity for this because maybe you could help both of us. Hi I would love my home remodel into a autism day program for kids with autism who need the extra help , my child us 3 and there are no openings in my area for him yo go to a preschool to learn how to talk, I know other families are having the same problem ,people are charging way to much for for care, I want to open a program for kids with autism , kids we need that extra help to learn like my child, I live in a nice area in rochester ny but there's no schools that have openings for my child , my home has the perfect add on , in back I can pull out additional room covert my garage into a center connecting to my bonus room adding a bathroom
And maybe a kitchen washer dryer area with walk in closet for storage ,I would need school supplies and structure for the kids I would be open from 6 am to 6 pm five days a week two meals two snacks and a reasonable rate I gave three girls my age in our thirty that wanna start a program ,but we need to be prepared

My baby sister deserves this blessing because through all she endures daily she remains humble. When my sisters husband lost his job her entire quality of life changed drastically and she never complains she just carries on as a mother and wife. My sister has not been able to work in ten years when she learned her four year old son is a very brittle type 1 diabetic. At that time my brother in law had a great job that provided amazing insurance coverage for the family and financial stability but my baby sister and her family lost that coverage and almost all they had when her husband was forced to take an extremely lower pay without medical coverage upon the selling of the company that he worked for. Sines then my nephews niece and sister have had to move into a very run down home given to them by his father because it's a daily struggle just to make sure my nephew has proper medical treatment they are unable to focus on their own quality of life because keeping baby glenn ( my nephew) healthy is all that matters through this my sister and brother in law still smile remain humble and fill they're home and children's lives with love please consider my baby sister and her family for your blessing and help they're so deserving …
Good morning,to whom this may concern,I am sending this letter in regards to my sister Kassandra Miller who is in need of your help, she does not know that I am writing to you about her situation but my mother passed away back in 2011 and left behind her home and my sister is now living in her house,the house is very old and needs repairs done on it the city inspectors has gotten some complaints about the house from neighbors and gave her some fines, my sister cant afford to get repairs done by herself because she makes very little money and has had back surgery that limits her to certain types of work that she can do,most of her income goes towards utilities and cab fair to and from work because she has no car the house does not have good heating an air conditioning and she has to use electric heaters which runs up her light bill extremely high,there is pluming problems and mold build up and wiring problems,the front porch is in need of repairing and the floors are rotting or needs new towel replaced,she has tried to get government assistance but has not had any luck and she has gotten behind on the house payments and taxes because of her income, she is very depressed and cries a lot because she is about to loose the house and might be homeless at any time,I didn't know where else to turn to but you all,we want to keep the house in honor of moms memory,this is all the memory that we have left of our mom but my sister and I cant help her out much either because of our income also, is there some way possible that ya'll could help her out asap please let me know something on this matter, you can contact me at my email or telephone number thank you Ms.Miller

Hello i am mother of eight but have six living with me and my husband. We live in a shack that has no running water, or sewage pump out. We use a generator for power, our shack is not equip for the winter but lived there going to three years. Our wood stove is not equip enough to keep us warm in the winter. Our shack is not insulated for the winter too.
My name is Kimberly Mills,I am 32 years old, I have 4 children and a fiance. I am currently enrolled in a technical college. My two oldest children were a gift to me by my first husband, who passed unexpectedly by a car accident. I then remarried and had 2 more children, to find out that my husband was doing things that were not appropriate for children to live around. I am currently going to school to get a medical degree. We luv in a 2 bedroom home, which is owned by a friend of mine. Not paying any rent,since I don't have a job am not paying any bills. My oldest son is almost 15, he does what he can to help, but I feel as if he tries too hard to become the man he does not need to be as of yet. This would be life changing for US. Hi my name is Barbara and I am writing about a friend of mine named Christy. Christy is a single mom of 4. She lost her husband to a car accident, I believe its been 3 years now. Christy has 4 children: Austin is a senior in high school, star football player, great Christian young man but most of all I seen Austin step up and help his mom with the other kids when Christy didn't know what to do. Abigail is the next oldest child, she is an eighth grader and star basketball player. Just this week we seen Abigail break down in practice and cry because she missed a shot. When asked what was going on she said her Grandmother has had to move in with them and now Abigail is sleeping on the couch to give her bed to the grandmother. The couch is taking a toll on her body. Allisha is the next child. Allisha is in the 5th grade and will not stay at sleep overs with friends because she is afraid of loosing her mom too. Aaron is the baby and he is five. Aaron is just your normal kid. Into everything and keeping mom ran thin. The family is living in a small single wide trailer. Ive never been inside and I don't even know if its hers. What I do know is that with life so hard Christy is always willing to help someone else. Christy volunteers her time to teach the younger cheerleading team and enjoys every minute of it. Christy really cares for people and no matter how hard of a time she is having, you will never see it on her face. I know her kids see her struggling and I know they are greatful for what they have. We are renting a home frm hud which its not enough room. She is on social security and retirement. I cant work because of rod in my back.I want my mom to have a house big enough for us and she wont have to worry about stairs or stuff need fixing. She have bad arthritis and bad heart and diabetes and high blood pressure but yet as he still have time to help others. Her knee is giving out so its hard for her to walk up stairs. My mom currently sufffers with several respiratory prrobblems to innclude asthma,COPD and others. currently she is in ICU on a ventilator. On top of that her house has gotten so neglected due to a revennt divorce.of 34+ years. because of her health she cannot keep up even with basic maintenance. there has been black mold and i thought was gone but it has came back she can't afford to have it properly taken.care in result she's dying in the house shes lived in for over 3decades with her illnesses she is always in and out of the hospital and i hate to see my mother having a machine breathe for her. i know with a much.needed deep cleaning and remodle thay would accomodate her situation i tthink.it cpuld improve not only her quality of life but hher overall state. We live in Enterprise,Al and she is very sick right now and we don't know how long she has but she really would like to have her house redone so she can be comfortable. We feel that she really deserves this after fight this cancer for so long. We really hope that you guys get this cause now she is no longer on kemo and her cancer has turned aggressive and we don't know how long she has left. The house we are in now is very crouded and has a lot of issues that need to done that both me and my mother cannot afford. We are both struggling to get by and take care of my grandma. We don't want to put her in a home because we are not comfortable leaving her in the care of other people. My parents have recently been slammed with a horrible financial burden that caused them to lose all their hopes and dreams for any shread of a better home. In 1989 my father was disabled and the accident has left him cane ridden with multiple surgeries to thank for it. He has been unable to work to help support the family. My mother works to be able to get necessities of the home. Their home now has mold and is falling down in around them and they have no way of getting a better home. We were always taken care of as kids but my father always felt that he fell short in providing for our family so I know a little home makeover that would rid their home of mold and improve the shelter would lift his spirits and give him a reason to want to live instead of feeling worthless. All I want is for my parents to be happy and have a home that is safe and adequate. Please help us we have nowhere else to turn to. We are all God fearing Christians and feel God has lead us to you for help.
Hi my name is Amber Smith and I live with my brother and two parents my mom has and is still going to the hospital for heart therapy. She has had multiple surgeries and me and my brother was wanting to contact you because with her last surgery she had a stroke while on the surgery table and it paralyzed half of her body including half her sight she went to therapy which gave her movement back but every now and again she gets the shakes and will fall out the house that we are in is no condition for a woman like her I hate seeing our family unhappy. The house is older then my dad and the floors are bad and in some area's it is growing mold in one of the rooms a bad storm came and the ceiling caved in he is trying to fix it and help me take care of my mom I stay home and am about to get into virtual school we really need help my dad is getting to old to work on this house any longer its just to old. He has to use a walker to move and will be confined to a wheel chair one day. We live in a 1960's trailer house. I work at the local grocery store and as a CNA at the local nursing home. We struggle to stay in the red but thanks to GOD and this community we survive. When we bought this trailer we had hopes if being able to replace it. Hello my name is ashley I wanted to apply for my mother and father who live in a small home in Houston tx and are in need. They have worked so hard all their lives to try and give me and my siblings a better life! We are 5th generation circus performers and the line of work we do has become very hard where we don't make enough money or have much with during the year. My dad is pretty much a handy man he is my hero cause he always brings enough good for the table in total my family is 6 people. My parents bought a home in Houston and haven't had time or money to fix it up so they park their rv in the drive way and live there while they save up enough money to fix our home. It's a very small home with a small back yard just big enough for us to practice for when we go on tour. My mom is so amazing for working since she got with my dad and worked all her life even now that has babies she keeps working hard while still being a mom a friend and a wife! Me and my sister try to help out with the younger siblings and since I moved out of my house from my parents I know it's Been a bit harder on my family work and home wise so I wanted to apply them to this show which we have watched so many times and only dreamt of ever being on it. Help!! We are busting at the seems! We have 5 children in a 3 bedroom house. Kids are 18,16,10,6, and 4. My husband is a fireman for the small town in Texas. He works 24hr shifts then on his 2 days off he works a second job. When he is not at one of the 2 jobs he has he is helping a friend or family member doing odd jobs building fences and helping with home improvement protects. With that being said there is just no extra income to do anything with our house even if he was aound to be able to work on it. Not a sob story I know I just would like to do something for my husban who give so much of himself to a community as a fireman and as a father who works so hard to provide for his family and me so that I am able to be home with my children.
I'm applying for my brother, whose 18 year old son had a car accident last November that has left him with brain damage. He has taken 5 steps this past month, but he is still unable to speak and feed himself. My brother's house is not setup to accommodate my nephews, and my brother is having a hard time at his age trying to physically do it. My brother has worked very hard all his life. They are trying to buy the house that they are in, and my brother had done a lot of work to it, before the accident. It really just needs to be made handicap friendly. My daughter was murdered in 2005. My 81yr old mom lives with us & I'm her PCA w/DSP. My husband is disable & been cut on so much in 2yrs… I have custody of my 2 Gbabies, 6 & 8. Their mother was murdered by her own father July2012. Lt. Tony Stiles was seriously injured during that 15hr stand off. My Gbabies were held hostage & witnessed their mother's murder. Their room is in my dining room. This house has been a work in progress since the 1st nail in 1952. Sometimes I can't breath! I feel trapped. Hi, I think my mom deserves this home makeover. She is a single mom of 8 and has always did her best raising us by herself but times are really hard. She works a 9-5 & comes home and does her best to provide for all of us. We have a little brother who has down syndrome and has to attend therapy sessions every week but we don't have a car so we don't always get to take him every week like he is supposed to. He is 4. I also have a 5 yr old brother, a 7 yr old brother, a 10 yr old sister, a 16 yr old brother. Then there's me and my 24 yr old brother. I have another sister but she doesn't stay with my mom. I just want my little brothers and sister to have a nice comfortable home to live in. The air and heat doesn't work so it's very cold winters and extremely hot summers. We have to use fans in the summer and little space heaters in the winter which barely works. We have a washer but we cant afford a dryer right now so we either wash our clothes at home and go to the laundry mat or in the summer hang them outside. The water from the upstairs bathroom leaks downstairs sometimes and the downstairs bathroom leaks if you stay in the shower more then 5 minutes. The microwave goes out a lot, it works when it wants to and our refrigerator doesn't stay cold so we have most of our food, even butter, eggs, and milk inside the deep freezer. If you could please help my mom out I know she would be forever grateful for your good deeds and so would I and all my siblings.

My aunt Michelle and her two boys along with the rest of the Dunbar Community in dunbar pennsylvania have just been devastated with a flash flood that caused my aunt michelle and her boys to loose everything including their two cars. Their deceased fathers belongs were in a tote and in their basement that flooded in the middle of the night and was not saved. My aunts home was completely destroyed and flooded not only her basement but it came up into her living area washing out everything on the first floor. It is truly devastating and the whole community's basements were flooded and some of their living space. But my aunts house got the worst. I will be putting their video along with their application in to help them. They have lost a father and now lost their home and what they had physically of their dad. Hi, my name is Shae I am 25 years old and I stay at home with my mother(42), farther(58), sister(24, my two brothers(22)& (21), and my sisters three kids and I also have 2 kids and one on the way from 1yr to 5 years old. We have been staying in Gaston SC for 17 years. We love where we stay but our house or rather shall I say our trailer is shot if you know what I mean. We don't have any AC/heat, we are having problems with the electricity certain parts of the house lights goes out on its own. We have tried and tried to fix it and I'm afraid one day its going to catch on fire because of so many shortages. We have a problem with bugs because we have damaged pipes underneath the house. My dad was working on his job for 30 plus years and he just had an accident at work where a 1000 lb steel pipe hit him up side the head and broke his bone in his face. Him and one of my brothers was our income now my brother just works. We are a loving family and try to help others when needed but now we need help very badly. Its a lot of other things that I can go into but its just too sad to tell you have to c it for yourself. So please help us!

The past four years have been full of loss and hardship not to mention traumatic experiences from inadequate caregivers and serious loss. Four years ago the woman in the relationship was working as a case manager for the disabled and she was great at it however she broke her hip after falling out of her shower chair. Since then she has gone into a depression and it is hard for her to trust or believe anybody. She is on hospice. I am writing you because I need your help to pull her out of this slump. Since her fall her husband has had to quit working and watch over her.He is a substitute teacher. He is an amazing man he doesn't let anything thing get him down and even though he needs care just as much as she does he always puts her needs first. I have been touched by your show since the time I have watched it I always cry but just because I admire the lives you have touched and changed by what you guys do. I know you have the ability and resources to not only help this couple but change their lives. They have a decent house here in San Angelo Texas but they need some adjustments. They are limited to social security and the husband is always looking for business opportunities from home since he cant leave his wife . Even with a disability their dream is to open their home to people who need quality around the clock care. Please help me to make their dreams come true Nobody deserves it more than them when you meet them you will see. This couple has adjusted to what they have and made it work but you could really help them. Their dream is to one day have enough money to travel and eventually get a sufficient bed to provide both of them comfort so they can sleep together. They presently have a home that was built around 1960 and has never been updated. This family of five kids are extra ordinary in how they live life every day in spite of their vision disabilities. I live in Maywood, il.I attend Proviso East High School.I believe our school should be a place were us as, Proviso Pirates,can feel safe.Our school last year got burned on one side.They are fixing it but there our other problems other than that.We are one of the lowest scoring schools, we have poor equipment, and also kids jus dont at school because they feel its not worth going and learning nothing.Hopefully if you help get us a better school thats will also help to become a better community.

We tried first buying some furniture…but after a while we noticed pests.. so after a year of battling that an thousands of dollars later..we are now 100% free of pests. so then the backyard sewer line needed repaired.. 20k later an it was done by hacks who ran there backho into our house, the siding needed replaced…they literally ran over our fence an broke posts an panels which only half got replace, they broke concrete pavers an then hit our basement wall which left a long visable crack which now leaks mud an water when it rains…to have it fixed/the basement walls reset is another 20k… were in the process of suring them but so far theyve only stated they will pay out about 7k. still leaving us in a huge hole of a mess. my mom had a heartattack a couple years ago an there are many bills an visits since then an because of this house my dad has just lost interest in caring because of so many things that have gone wrong an we can only afford so much…they are both retired an have a limited income, i try to work 2 jobs to help out but its exhausting me an i can only do so much because someone hit my car an totaled it so now im stuck with a car payment now. were all depressed an we sleep alot because this home is fallin apart… we need your help ty to help bring our family – i need my family to car an i need everyone to feel revealed an happy again. i can tell u now.. that they will end up dying this way sad/depressed an i dont want that at all.

Hi I'm writing you for my Mother Julia Lovato she just turned 65 may 18 2014 she is widowed,she married at 19 had 4 children 2 boys 2girls my father never allow ed her to work we grew up in public houseing, dad was an alcoholic very abusive, but moms beliefs were to staying with him till death witch she did. That was in 1994 he passed my mom had to go work I was so worried she had never done so. But she did well she bought a home through ,Fha she still is paying on it. But the problems with the electric is it's gone out in part of the house ,kitchen living room,washroom. And no money to fix it it's about 5000 to do so. Mom is the most wonderful,loving and giving person I've ever known she works hard as a laundry attendant in a nursing home. She is at age to retire but there was no retirement she can get her social security benefits of697 in February 2015 but still has to continue working to b able to pay the mortgage and bills she can bear lye make it I'm afraid she is going to gt sick. This past year she had no medical ins. And landed up in the hospital in turn the hospital garnished her check for4,000dollars making everything worse.she has been through so much I just wish I could see her be able to enjoy life a little without worrying about how she is going to pay for things the house and yard need work I'm ill and I try but am unable to work she. Well hello, my name is Samantha I am 15 years old and it would really be a blessing if you could help me & my family. We live in a small town called Selma, California. For about 8 years already we have started working on our new dream house but then my dad lost his job and my mom had to quit hers because my brother had many injuries to where he almost passed away when he was a baby. Right now we live in a small house for now & just trying to get by. I could tell we had issues financially when we had to make some sacrifices… even then my parents tried to do everything they can to try to do the best for us 4 kids. I've always wished that somehow I could help so started saving up money but of course it's not enough. After years of praying I remembered how I used to watch your show and thought wow, it would be amazing if you and the team could help. I came across this website and maybe it was meant to be to give it a try and see if the Lord will put us in good hands to finish our home.

My niece's 3 1/2 year old son nearly drowned a month ago, He is in rehab and we are hoping for the very best but it will be a long road. They are 6 hours away from home in the best rehabilitation center for now but the other two children, aged 6 and 1, are with grandparents back here. The hope is that they could find a center closer to home by Thanksgiving. However, when they do the small ranch style home will have to undergo major work to make it handicapped accessible to bring him home. In the past few years the water table has risen and their basement flooded. 3 sump pumps are constantly running. Last weekend excessive rain caused the basement to flood because the city storm drains couldn't keep up. Wonderful people pulled the carpets up and threw them away and are drying out the place. However the root cellar has had standing water and will continue to for who knows how long. This water problem has been a source of stress for the past couple for years. The basement had two bedrooms and the family room. I walked into the house to empty out the dehumidifier this morning and I was overwhelmed with the stress the family will be facing when and if they can bring their son back home – making the home handicapped accessible, and deciding where to have their other two children sleep. With the water in the root cellar, I don't think it is healthy in the basement. This family has been the recipients of many kindnesses since their son's accident. They have not been back home since then but have had to rely on the mercy of people's kindness because their son's condition requires constant therapy from them in addition to the medical team because time is of the essence for the best possible recovery for him. This family needs a simple yet handicapped accessible home. There is no way they can deal with this right now. My niece was a stay at home mom while her husband was building a chiropractic business in their small home town. They have college bills in addition to mortgages. This family needs some hope that they can be together as family in a cozy home.
Hello Ty and the gang! My parents are in desperate need of help but wont ask anyone. My dad is a vetran of the army and is an asssociate pastor at the church. My mom was put on disability due to her health problems. My dad has been working two jobs just trying to get by. He barely has time with the family because of this. After he gets off work at 4:30 he comes home and starts recording commercials for business'. It doesnt pay much but hes doing what he can. There home needs so much work it breaks my heart that i cant help. He always goes out of his way to help family, friends, and strangers and never asks anything in return. Hes such a hard working man yet he struggles trying to get bills paid. Let me tell you about the house. I took pictures but cant figure out how to load them. The carpet has been there since they moved in 25 years ago and is so worn and nasty is smashed to the floor and doesnt even feel like carpet. All the walls in the house have cracks in them. The bathroom floor around the toilet and shower are about to fall through. It is extremely soft and you have to avoid standing there. Not mention the floor of the shower is sinking and about to fall through. Then theres the ceiling in the laundry and furnace room, its fallig down and is leaking. Years ago my dad turned the garage into a master bedroom. Hes no carpenter but did the best he could. Theres a small platform you have to step on and another step to get into the rest of the house. Due to my mother having severe lupus and fybermialga along with other health problems she tripped over the step because she struggles to get up them since she hurts so bad. She tried to catch herself but instead bashed her head and split it from about the middle of her head down to the middle of her forehead. It was horrible. Drywall flew everywhere, i rushed her to the hospital. Then theres the upstairs. The stairs are so old and slick from the old carpet the a dangerous to be on. Mom cant go up them anyway. The rooms up there arent in good shape. The one has several large cracks on the wall and holes as well. One big hole is from the drywall just falling apart. The whole house needs a new roof desperately. I cant stand to see them suffer anymore. My mom can barely get around from hurting so bad. I would hate to see her get hurt again she was very lucky that day. They dont need anything big just a 2 bedroom would be fine. They love having a room for the grandkids to play. The room they play in now isnt very nice either. Mom tore the carpet up cuz it was so gross and theres just old wood underneath and i worry about the kids getting splinters. They currently have 10 young grandchildren. They cant move because they owe more on the house than its worth.Please im begging you. Please help them!
Hello my name is Erica and my six year old son has End Stage Renal Disease and Liver Cancer and he has been through a lot. My family has been having to pay rent in a home that is not ours for the past three years in order to be close to the hospital for my sons chemo and dialysis. We own a home in Alabama that is not suitable to live in as it has a lot of work that needs to be done to it. My husband was injured in a house fire years ago and cannot work due to the injuries so my family really needs your help. We would like to move back into the home that we own which is rent free but it has to be up to city code and livable conditions for not only the rest of my family but for our son whose immune system is already compromised. We have a daughter named roxanne you is 22 now, but has severe disabilities which make wheelchair and house bound. We also have kids Kyle 14 and hayasen 8 in the home. Roxanne has a great deal of medical equipment that forced us to make a room for her in our finished basement, she was smaller than, now that she is larger we really need to get her a room on the main floor, in case of an emergency like a fire we could not get her out of the house in time. Roxanne can not talk hear see or walk so she is 100% dependent on others. We have tried to get help from the county and state but that has not worked, we cannot afford to make our home into what she needs for her safety. I am 14 years old and my family really needs a miracle.My mom has been sick for years and unable to work,cook,clean,or function normally.She has slipped disks in her back.She has post traumatic stress and it causes her a life of anxiety/o.c.d.She also suffers from fibromyalgia and Lyme disease.She does all she can to provide for us kids and she feels SO terribly that we have to be embarrassed of where we live.My father is so over worked. I am writing on behalf of my cousin Jonathan. April 2, 2013 Jonathan was struck from behind while he sat on his motorcycle waiting to turn into the driveway of his family home on Grand Lake Road, Sydney Nova Scotia, Canada. He was critically injured and not expected to live due to severe brain stem injuries along with many broken bones. He defied all odds and survived! He was in hospital and rehab for 16 months. His injuries have left him with difficulty walking requiring him to rely on wheelchair. His mom, Denise, took leave of her job, moved to Halifax and stayed with Jonathan from day 1. She was determined to bring back her son from the coma he was in. She was by his side and nursed him back to health. Unfortunately their house was not equipped for wheelchair access and Jonathan was not able to return to his home. When the hospital decided they needed the room for other patients, Denise and Glenn brought their son home to the small ill equipped house. They were just happy to be under the same roof as a family again. Tragically, after only 10 days together as a family Jonathan's mom Denise was killed in a motorcycle accident (August 8, 2014). There are no words to explain how heartbroken we all are. I don't know how Glenn is going to manage full time care for his son, go back to work and try to get the house wheelchair accessible. I am asking for consideration of any sort of help. This family has been through so much and so deserving of something good in their life. Thank you. Lynn Moore

I am contacting you regarding my sister Sue. She is disabled and 64 years old. She has many serious health problems and cockroaches have invaded her home. We have bombed, sprayed, put out powder, even had exterminators out. They crawl on you when sitting in chair it is so bad. They fall in food from cabinet above when trying to cook. We even bombed under house and poured powderinside walls, but nothing is killing the roaches. I believe this is causing her even more health problems and possibly even killing her. She has helped people her whole life and now she really needs help. I came to her house today to take everything out of cabinets and closets to prepare for bombing again, but I know it's not going to help because we have done it so extensively so many times. The roaches are even in all her appliances. It is so bad her children are afraid to bring her grandchildren to see her. She has told me before what a good person she thinks you are. Hello! I am Lynda Renee McGhee. I live in Trussville, Alabama. I have always been a hard working woman who has helped my son's, their friends, and others who have lived with me rent free and I fed/feed them as well as I could. I have worked as an Elementary School Teacher at Erwin Elementary, now Erwin Intermediate School for the past 12 1/2 years. I also worked after school in the tutoring program. In addition, I tutored in the evenings and weekends. I worked so hard in order to provide my 2 sons what they needed in school and sports and help my son through college. Unfortunately for me, I have had a series of accidents and surgeries that have left me with many health problems, including, but not limited to severe peripheral neuropathy of both hands due to a combination of cervical radiculopathy, and bilateral carpet tunnel disease (s/p failed surgeries). The neuropathy impairs my sensation, grip and dexterity of both hands. This makes it difficult to perform any tasks with my hands. I also have chronic neck and back pain due to degenerative disc disease, arthritis,fibromyalgia, sleep apnea, thyroid disease. Just to mention some illnesses. I had a meeting in April of 2014 with Jefferson County Board of Education and my principal, Mrs. Angela Watkins, and was told that if I couldn't touch and handle enormous amounts of paper, then I couldn't teach and would have to retire on disability immediately. I was to I would be ok financially since I would receive my retirement, my short term/long term disability which I had paid through the school for years, and I would get disability through the state. I was told by THE JEFCOED that my health insurance premiums would reduce due to being disabled. Well, it has not worked out for me like that. The insurance company refuses to pay on my claim and the state of Alabama Disability Determination Center has denied my claim. My health insurance rates went from $222.00 a month to $458.00 per month. My retirement check is $844.00 per month minus taxes leaves 811.00 a month minus $458.00 for health insurance. Then I have to pay dental insurance, life insurance, a mortgage, utilities,food, and other. I had planned on working till I was 65. I went back to college when Nick and Ryan were in school and got my degree from USB in December of 2003! I graduated as a highly qualified, certified teacher. Then all these physical injuries befall me and here I am. My house needs to be renovated. I did get a new roof a few years ago, metal. And I did have my main bathroom renovated. I had planned to get new siding, new front porch, new deck, rip up the old carpet and get new flooring, either hardwood or floating floors, remodel the kitchen and the rest of the interior. I had plans for my house and now I don't know how I will ever achieve my goals without your help. So I am respectfully requesting you to choose me and my house as your new makeover. It would be a dream come true!I I got in a home built in 1976, the pipes leak badly every time I shower. I have had several plumbers attempt to repair the leaks, but it never worked. The entire bathroom needs to be torn down and rebuilt. I would love to have the outside wall extended so I could have a larger master bath with a bathtub. I need a whirlpool for my body to help with the pain. There is so much work needed, I can't list it all. But you could make my dreams come true! I beg you to choose me! Hello! My name is Fune Tautala and I live in tacoma Wa. I'm writing you on behalf of my entire family. I have 5 sisters and just last yr my mother past away from breast cancer. In 2007 doctors gave her a year to 2 yrs to live but she fought as long as she could until losing the battle in July of last yr. My mother and Father (who passed away in 1999 from a heart attack) gave us a real fighting chance to be something in this world by giving us things normal samoan/american kids would not normally recieve. My father served in the army for 22 yrs before retiring as an E8. If you just google Fune Tautala heart attack or even my mother Faafouina Tautala you will see my parents were very unlucky in the way they passed. We try not to see the negative that has struck our family. They taught us the values of love and respect. My mother is by far my idol and my guardian angel. Everyone at some point in their life meets an obstacle they find difficult to overcome. My mother offered her home to anybody who needed help getting back on there feet. The list is long for example my sisters and I all at one point looked to my mother to house us as struggling young adults. Also my mothers cousins, nicecs, nephews, and even struggling church members found shelter and help in my mother. It is difficult to say this but my child hood home and my mothers hardwork might be taken away from us. You can imagine with a number of families who have come and gone our child hood home is in rough shape. My sisters think its too much work to keep. As the only boy of the family I want to do whatever it takes but I just had my first kid on aug 5th 2014 so things financially are a little tough. I've watched your show and its clear you create miracles for families who ask for help so I figured I'd write you and ask you to please help me bring a home that once gave shelter to a few families back to good standing. Now that I have a daughter of my own I would really wish to raise her in the same house my mother and father onced raised me and my sisters. I'm afraid it's in too rough of shape to fix and I just don't want to say goodbye to my childhood home just yet. I have a lot of wonderful memories in this home and I know if you were to meet me and my family you would feel the warm and gracious hospitality that my mother has enstiled in us. I try and watch your show whenever I can. We dream of you coming in and helping us. I live in a house built by my husbands grandfather back in the 50's. The home where my husband grew up. With all the repairs it needs drives me crazy at times with only one of us working it makes money tight. I have 4 sons. One that left home to try his hand on his own out of state with no money i cant travel to see him and miss him so much. Thank god for Facebook keeps me updated on what he if doing. I also have a 21 13 and 8 year old still living at home. When we took over the hoyse it needed work but our trailer was worse. Now the roof is leaking which scares me. My husband has tried to patch it. Winter is coming and its going to be getting cold again. Our house still has single pane windows. We heat with a woodstove that is not safe which means I will be up most nights. Our kitchen floor is totally messed up. We had so many dretheream s but can't keep up. I cry whenever I see your show and after reading so many of the stories before mine I'm sure I will keep on crying. Watching your show gives me renewed hope that there are still people that care. My 13 year old thinks it is awsome what you do I caught him shedding a tear when he watched the show with the swat officer that was taken down in his prime. I'm writing this because my mother, sister and I are in need of a new home. We live with my grandparents, my aunt and uncle, and my other grandmother. Eight people, three of them disabled, in a Three bed, one bath log cabin that needs too many repairs to count. Its very crowded and there is fighting everyday. I think my mother deserves this home because she already stresses over my mental disorders(including depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, EDNOS, paranoia, posttraumatic stress disorder), taking care of her mother(who suffers from dementia, diabetes, high blood pressure, and is in a wheelchair), and helping take care of my aunt(who has complete kidney failure back in 2010, and is now on Dialysis with five(now one) years to live, also in a wheelchair) and get by literally on $100 weekly from child support, she still doesn't break or show how badly shes stressed. She shouldn't have to stress over our house, too. My family built this cabin the year I was born and its a nice cabin, overall. But the fernace costs a lot of money to run in the cold winters, to the point where we cannot afford to run it so we're basically freezing, and there's no cooling at all, so in the Summer it's x5 hotter inside than out. If you could just repair the cabin, and build us a medium house at the bottom of the hill, that would help us a lot. We love you and your show, thank you.
I am a 29 year old mother of 2 and wife to a wonderful man. After having my son my kidneys failed. I'm now waiting on a kidney.I also had a stroke in my eye so needless to say I can't work. My husband works long hours n his days off just to pay the bills. After all the bills are paid there is not much left for home repair. We live in a 3 bedroom 1 bath home. My mother in-law and father in -law have a house in good condition but me and my husband had to move in with them because we could no longer afford the rent and the high price light bill. Hello , my mother has been working on pipeline for the past 7 years to save up enough money to build our house she has worked off constantly and it's tough on all of us , my farther and mother started working on the house in '09 and my farther hurt his self working on the house he is now 77 years old and in a wheel chair . We have wanted this house so bad for so long , but every time we get just a little bit of money saved up my mom gets laid off . I'm now expecting and moneys always an issue at this point and it seems like it's just hopeless to get this house . We got enough money in '09 to poor the concrete slab and now that's all that sits there . I live in a 19yr old house that was only biult for 2, but it seems our family just loves to grow. I am 17 and currently the youngest of my 5 person family and although we dont fit here now we are expecting a new member on september 15th, 2014. We are a family of BMX races so obviously we have alot of bikes and trophies but little to no space to put them. The rooms we all reside in are too small even for closet space, i am in a 7 by 10ft room and have no room to move since me and my soon to be daughter will be in the same room for as long as i live here. My parents work 3rd shift at Kato Engineering so they work from 8pm to 7am and we barely get to see them, they put their hearts into what they do in order to provide for us and we have no way to show them how much we appreciate what they do for us. Our house was biult before my eldest brother was born and now he resides in the basement where recently we had found large traces of black mold, my second oldest brother is in a room ment for a closet it a conjoining room that both my brothers used to stay in. We have so many problems with this house but since we have lived in this tiny secluded town our whole lives we just cant up and leave it we have too many memories here so im asking ABC as a mother to be please help us and help our family grow. Give us the new house we desperatly need and show everyone what it means to be a team and a family.

My name is Ria and all though I would love a home makeover, my house was just bought for by my parents. But that is not why I am writing for this audition. You see my parents adopted me when I was 1 1/2 along with my brother. Through out my life I grew up the church my Pastor and his wife being my second parents and his three kids my brothers and sister. I writing to help them. Cassie and her husband moved up to Soda Springs a small community in the Sierra Mountains of Northern California. She was living in a two bedroom house and a few years ago it was flooded by a pipe that burst during the winter. They moved into My Pastors cabin down the street. At this time they had three children two girls and a boy but this house only has three bedrooms and two baths. It is good house for a couple. There is not enough room for when my pastor and his wife come up stay during the winter or the summer for they live in the bay area. They currently trying to build a house but keep running into road blocks. I want to help Cassie to have a home that she dreams of because she was there for me when I was having problems when I was younger and she still is there for me even though I have done some pretty bad things. There is nothing Cassie's has been sick for a long time she doing better with meds and diet but I think that she deserves to be happier even though she believes she is blessed. LET THE PARENTS HAVE THE HOUSE BACK
My family lived on property at Color Star Growers of Colorado on Weld County Road 14.5 for 4 years. We did all night time maintenance and Security 24 hours a day. Well unbeknownst to us Color Star Growers of Colorado was going bankrupt in December of 2012. In June of 2012 our middle son got in trouble with the law as soon as he moved out in May of 2013. I used our car insurance money to baip him out. We lost the insurance for 4 months. The Friday literally before the flood we were going to get our insurance back. But the September floods literally flooded us twice in 3 days. We lived off generator power for over 6 weeks. We had to walk through 3-4 foot of water to just go to town for food. The owner of Color Star Growers did not even tell us at this point it was going under. So our family all chipped in to help clean the place so 200 employees could come back to work. Plus me and our kids helped save one pot bellied pig, one miniature horse, and a cat. Then in December we got a letter telling us how Color Star Growers of Colorado was bankrupt as of December 16, 2013. They told us however that our home and jobs were secured since we took care of the place. Well Raindrop Partners bought it and leased it to Olson's Greenhouse. Olson's came in and did a corporate take over. They brought their own Maintenance Manager and Night Maintenance Manger to people from Utah. My husband tried to tell them all that the whole place had 4 foot of water in it for weeks. He tried to tell them certain things needed repaired before they went full blast. But they did it anyway and blamed my husband and son both for it blowing up in several ways.
Because our car floated twice we limped it through to the tax check. We promptly bought a supposedly mechanic ly sound. 24 hours later I was putting in a new transmission in it. It now runs but the money we were going to move on just went into a car because we needed a car to get back and forth to their jobs. .
Since then we are spending a fortune trying to find some place that will allow our pets to be there. We are simple country people trying to make but every where we look for help we get turned down. They all have a lot of excuses but the main thing is lack of money to help all of us affected by the September 2013 floods of Colorado. Not to mention we were the ONLY ones affected that bad in all of Fort Lupton. But Evans, Boulder, and all the other counties who had more people affected as well as they arenthe tourist cities. I truly understand they need it more than us.
Both my husband and son got jobs at a new greenhouse called Welby Gardens. They love it there. They are finally treated with respect for once. But because of this we had to move of Olson's Greenhouse property. We took all the money we could come up with to buy a decent RV. Because we cannot find a place we can afford that will allow 2 dogs and 2 cats, 3 of those are 8 and 9 years old. They are really well trained animals. Well except Zeus, he is a very old fat beagle who has some serious health issues. We are now moving from place to place trying to keep our 13 year old daughter who is the most loving girl you will ever meet. My husband is a relly good guitarist. He has played with many well known bands along his lifetime. He sold all his musical equipment just to help keep our family with a roof over our heads and food in our belly. He works day and night anymore. He doesn't have a studio let alone any Marshalls or Gibson Les Paul's to even put into a studio. He feels like such a failure to his family. I myself have many many health problems with the worst one being Epilepsy. I have it mostly under control. But when my stress level goes up so do the seizures. My husband feels guilty when I have them now because he feels since he cannot provide us with anything more than a RV with no permanent home which he knows is my dream. My dream is to own a real home with running water, heat, electricity, and room for my kids and animals to run without being on a chain. I dream of givivg my daughter and 2 boys a place to call home. I want my husband to know he can go to work and know I am safe at home. He worries I will have a seizure while he is at work. He has given up on believing in the human race right now. I would love to see the faces of my family to see the USA still does care about helping this family
I know you usually fix up a home for someone in need. But could you just once please help out a homeless family to have a place to call home permanently. It doesn't have to be really big. Just someplace to call home.
My fiance was murdered the day we bought our wedding rings a year and two days later I lost my 29 year old son in a car accident. All the repairs updates that were supposed to get done never happened my house is in need of a make over. I live alone now but have children grand children here frequently. I had to file bankruptcy I don't have money to do what needs to be done

My name is April and I'm from Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. The reason I'm writing is for my parents. My parents are the type of people that they give and do what ever they can for other people even if it leaves them with nothing. They were both workin full time and my dad was even workin two jobs. One full and one part to help me with my children and also to fix up there house. The house that they live in they bought bfor I was even born and has been the same since I was in kindergarten and now it really needs alot of work done to it. We only have one bathroom that works right since the master bathroom leaks and has mold growing big time. The shower pan is also brook and leaks out on to the back patio so when we are able to shower (like once a week or every other week) we haveta have the water off in no more then 20mins. We also noticed a couple months ago that water is now leaking out from the kitchen wall on to the patio when we have the water running. They also have the roof coming up and when it rains it now leaks. My parents life got turned upside down on July 4th. My dad was in a tremendous auto accident on his way to one of his jobs in totalled his El Camino. At the time we didn't know but his survival rate was only between 1-3% due to all his injuries and how bad he was. He had angles with him that day and through all his surgeries cuz he is still with us today. He's not able to come home cause the house is not wheelchair accessible and cause of his injuries he can't get sick or breathe the mold that's in the master bathroom. Due to his injuries he can't stand tell bout Oct Nov so that means he can't work anymore also. My mom just went back to work so that she could at least pay the house payment and have gas to keep going out to see my dad. My dad is in a VA hospital since he was in the Marines so my mom works graveyard comes by the house to change clothes when she gets off then heads out to the hospital to help in b with my dad then comes back to the house a couple hours bfor she has to go to work and does that everyday. Even though she needs help she will not ask for it. I try to help her as much as I can but I'm not able to do much since I can't find work n haven't worked n a good six months or more and a single mom so everything I get I need to support my kids. And since I'm not working I'm also staying with my parents so there's eleven of us in a three bed two bath house. She is trying to cut back on everything that she can and find things to sale just so she can pay bills and try to get the house fixed for my dad so he can come home and be with his family and grand children again. So if u can please help that would be so great and I know they would really appreciate it. Everything that they give and do for others when it's the right time others will come and help them out. With everything that's happened and goin on my mom just keeps looking forward and tells me that God will always help and just keep praying for this to get better so that's what we have been doing. I have also been teaching my children that and telling them that they needda start praying that someone will help fix grandma and grandpa's house or all of us will be on the streets. So please can you help me help my parents fix there house. I'm not asking for anything outrageous or anything like you do. I am just asking for help with the plumbing n the roof mainly. Hi, my name is Teresa Marquez and I live in Salisbury,NC. My husband and I have 3 kids. Two in college and our oldest lives with us because he has Cerebral Palsy.He has never been able to walk or talk and life has not been so easy for him. He has had 4 major surgeries in his life. He had a shunt put in for Hydrocephalus when he was 6 mths old, adductor release when he was over a yr old, steel rods in his back for scoliosis when he was 17 and this year his shunt had to be replaced. The doctor told me that we almost lost him this year and I don't know what I would do without him. He brings so much joy into our lives and he is the happiest and strongest person I know. We have done the best we can raising our children and providing for them but recently things have gotten tougher. I lost my job 3 yrs ago due to an accident I had. I now have my own disabilities and struggles but I am able to work for my son and be his caregiver. My husband works full time but I don't even make half the money that I use to and now we do what we can just to make ends meet. Our home is now in need of repairs and we just don't have the finances to fix them. We need a new roof and septic tank. We have a mold issue in our bathroom and now the ceiling is starting to collapse. We have been wanting to make our bathroom handicapped accessible because as we get older it's getting harder and harder for us to carry our son to the bath tub and our doorways to the bathroom are not wide enough for his wheelchair.My husband also has to pick him up and put him in our automobile anytime we go anywhere because we don't have a lift. My son has medicaid which pays his medical bills but we can't find any help to renovate our home for him. We feel like we're at a dead end. Please help. Thank you!

I live alone ,I have may medical problems which include degenerative spine disease, fibromyalgia, breathing problems. my husband of 20 yrs walked out on me on 1/12/2013, he told me he couldn't deal with my health problems anymore.i now live alone and everyday it is constant pain and a daily struggle. I bought this home and found out after that there is mold in here that the sellers covered up and the place is falling apart around me. I have always helped anyone who needed it but all of our friends abandend me and stood by my ex. Hello, my name Sherbard Manns, and I live in Ridgeway, VA. I am in a wheelchair due to the loss my legs. I inherited my house after my mother passed. Even though I love my home I have had to remove doors because of my wheelchair. My house needs renovations that I can' do. I need a bigger bathroom, new kitchen cabinets and stove.
