  1. Me and my wife has watched the show and dreamed of having our house remodled to the comfort of our 6 kids and ourselves. I am a 39 year old who has made to many mistakes in life to build a solid future for my wife and kids i am a recovering addict ( clean 9 years ) and my rock bottom was losing my mother to cancer while in jail . now im with my wife who ive been with since we were 13 and my 6 children that are my world .my wife is a recovering addict also. Her rock bottom was having our children taken while raising them on her own at the time .shes been clean 14 years. My wife has the only income coming in because i have a felony on my record and even with me doing collegge classes i still get the cold shoulder . It is a very hard position to be in when you have 6 children and live in a 3 bedroom house with 1 bathroom . our basement gets black mold in it from the water that leaks in from the bricks. The winters are cold because the windows we have are the old crank windows that are broke and the heat doesnt hold . our porch roof is molded and getting oldso the woods chipping away . i could go on and on and on. But i just feel i had to express my heart and take the chance for a dream to come true not only for me and my wife but for our kids to ..Thank you and god bless

  2. I am a 42 year old triple amputee I am applying because my dream has been to own a home of my own and for it to fit my disability. I lost my arm and my fiancee nursed me back to health. Can u help make owning a home our reality

  3. My name is Mirycale solomon and I'm 16 years old every since five years ago out lives have changed we move into a new home and we where happy that we had our own rooms after a while we learned that the has so we later found there were problems with our house like plumbing and we also ended up with rats in our walls because we live to an abandoned house and last year around September we found out that my little sister had croms disease and she had medicine and later the next year we were walking home as we approached out drive way my little sister falls to the ground screening and telling she can't she can't see and she breathing really heavy after a while my pulls up shortly after the ambulance.and we were in out of the house going to our we were in out of the hospital and after she starts to get better but my had just a car note a new truck she wanted and she was driving it and after a while she lost her job and she also lost her shortly after that .and we all know like to play around and joke around we did once but we ending up putting a while in the wall twice in the same place bc we don't enough room to play .my mom has help a lot of her family and friends but when she needs help kinda hard for to do it on her she pays bills try to work and do what she can .but ideal like there s nothing I can do to help her because it's so much that me and my sister can do for her .I feel like she's sick too.sick and tired of having to go through this fight alone.she's also stubborn but I'm a good way.so I want to help my mom and see u guys can give her the dream house she always wanted.my mother and sister names are destyne solomon and darlechea solomon

  4. Love how the designers, contractors and artists have reinvigorated the public interest in home design and decorating. I cry tears of joy for those needy individuals whom you assist. I hope that my friend can be selected to assist with her home dilemmas dealing with shiesty home insurance advocates and contractors.

  5. June 2018 is the perfect time to nominate my big sister & my brother-in-law, both in their fifties, for an Extreme Home Makeover! It's empty nest time for them after 37 years! They've taken in children and grandchildren to live with them whenever the need presents itself. Both have intense stories of hardship, grief, health challenges, parenting rollercoasters, and step-children, twins that came along as child number four and five.
My brother-in-law, former Marine, continues Boy Scout leadership in many roles long after the twins became Eagle Scouts. He has worked two plus jobs to provide for their 5 children. They range in age from 26 to 37. His commitment to family values, respect for God, country and brothers is now lived out by these young adults and their families. He took on becoming a Girl Scout Leader for his grand daughter's troop. He created a memorial event/fundraiser to honor those Marines attacked at the Beirut Embassy in the early 1980s and has walked many miles to honor those 283 Marines. He's the family chef and had attacked home repairs to the best of his ability.
My sister has fought many personal battles which she could share with you. The most harrowing of which includes a terrifying battle with prescription medications. It is a gift to me that she is here today. She's given to others outside the home and has worked since she was nineteen.

Other people are a focus, rather than the house. This little house begged for a sit down dining area for Christmas 3 years ago. All five children were coming for Christmas and spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends and grandkids, and my mom. The garage was converted into a functional family room. Being all together was more important than all the finishing details. Family gatherings have now become more common with this space.

I live in the same area, 30 minutes away. I don't always know all of the details in my sister's life, but I do know her heart. It is kind, inclusive, open-minded, non-judgemental, and family-focused.

The house looks tired BUT the home is most welcoming. I nominate them for an extreme home makeover. It is a 1960s brick ranch, maybe 1100 square feet with a finished Basement and No garage. It was build at a time and in a neighborhood where backyards are huge. There is plenty of room for a larger home. There are likely many friends, family members and coworkers willing to volunteer time to work with extreme home makeover!!
I have enjoyed life with a husband who has decorated and redecorated with me in our home. I wish for my sister a dishwasher, (raised 5 kids without one). I wish for my brother-in-law more counter space for food preparation and a larger eat in kitchen where he can interact with guests as he cooks. With two of their children married with two kids each, living out-of-state, it would be great to have dedicated guest rooms/bathrooms. They've given their lives for others! It would be amazing to see them receive the gift of an extreme home makeover.

At the front door is a 2' x 3' concrete stoop with one crooked step. It is my favorite front porch on the planet because there are always loving people there to sit with. It's better than any front patio, deck or wrap around porch that never gets used!! A big front porch with a swing and room for chairs would not be left empty in the future. Their lives are shared with others.

Thank you for your consideration!!! These two humble, regular folks would share a makeover home with joy. A few serene rooms, or Master bedroom would provide the healing rest and relaxation that would be so appreciated!!!

    Thank you for your time!!!

Little sister, in my early 50s,

  6. Well I know this Is a long shot,.. But my name is Elsie Morales I am a mother of 3 kids my oldest Son is 10 my daughter is 7 an my youngest son is 7 months… Well as of Sunday Jun 3rd 2018 we became homeless our home that my husband an kids worked so hard to build bigger caught fire an destroyed everything we owned. Don't get me wrong I'm grateful to still have my family alive an well but 3 kids an 2 adults in a small travel trailer is not way to live… An I feel so bad cause it's not the way I wanted to start my kids summer an the way it looks they won't have one which is really hard to see the disappointment… Like I said I know it's a long shot but I had to try.. Thank you for reading my story have a blessed day

  7. My husband devoted 18 years to our local recreation department as the youth sports coordinator before retiring. I have worked for our local school district since 1992, beginning my high school teaching career 15 years ago. We reside in the home my in-laws bought the year my husband was born, in 1952. Being that my mother passed away when I was 14, and bouncing between two relatives, I vicariously live through my husband's solid, deep roots, much of which were spent in this home. Our blended family of ten, all of our children now married or engaged, requires a lot of attention both financially and timewise. Which, unfortunately, hasn't lent a lot of opportunity to not only maintain our home, but to also perform necessary, vital repairs. Last week our plumbing stopped up. I did my best to snake it, like I usually do, but to no avail after two blisters. Being the last two weeks of school, with one of our daughters about to be induced for the arrival of our 13th grandchild, and my husband still recovering from a near-fatal surgery back in December, I resorted to a "camping" style of living… using plastic totes for sinks and shop vacuuming the tub after showers! Due to the extreme, sweltering, 120° temperatures in the summer, since my husband and I got engaged 16 years ago we've always dreamed about becoming snowbirds when we "grew up." Especially to visit our long distance children and their families on the east coast, one of which is currently stationed at Ft. Bragg. We finally acquired our truck and trailer over two years ago and have managed to get away to a cooler climate for one summer so far since then, but the demands of a family our size and our deteriorating home have grounded us for the time being. I would really love for my husband to be able to travel as he's hoped as well as visit our long distance families. Your help would be so pricelessly appreciated. Thank you for your consideration!

  8. My grandma is 80 plus years. I been trying to get her for this makeover. She has buried 3 kids and her husband she is the heart of our family i love her with everything in me. 9. Hi, my boyfriends house is falling apart especially the bathroom. we are one of the low income people and cannot afford to pay even a simple repair in the house. Hope you can help us make our house a decent one to live especially the bathroom. I wish….

  10. I would like to be on extreme makeover because my steep driveway and backyard are in desperate need of remodel. I don’t know where to turn to and love the ideas your crew always comes up with.

  11. Hello my name is kelly hall I have a nonprofit organization in Oklahoma City that houses homeless military veterans threw out the years iv been doing it on my own and now I’m in desperate need of some help one of the backs of the building has fallen and people have started breaking in and stealing stuff been trying to rebuild myself and give back to the men and woman that died for this country it’s just so stressful can’t get any support or anything it would mean so much to these veterans if they where chosen to have a home that helps make a difference in their life

  12. I'm not sure if this it's how it's done.. Or if it would even matter. Here goes. We moved from leflore, county oklahoma. I say county cause we never stayed in one place. Foster care had something to do with that. Anyways we moved to Nevada MO. To be closer to my grand mother. Eventually my mother moved here to be closer to me. She had a prescription addiction to hide her past. When she moved here she knew no-one. Exept me, my brother, my dad, and grandma. Trying to get away from her addiction she seeked medical help..Sep 4th 2015 she was checked in to Nevada regional. Hopeing to get help. Stayed in several weeks trying 100 different medications in this time.. A few weeks later she gets out but don't have money for medications they say she needs. Three days go by and she's been to every church, or beacon available. She gets some of what she needed. But it was to much. Sep.-18-2015 by noon my mother went to take a nap. And never woke up. She had overdosed in the medications she was told she absolutely needed. Me and my little brother found her and could do nothing. She was gone. A week later we pack what we can and move our camper to ft. Scott ks. Where my parents had purchased a home. But it had burnt 2 years pryer with another owner. So it had no electrical. Mind you it's still Sep. So cold. 5 people living in a camper that had no heat trying to work everyday to get the house livable. Wasn't till that next summer till it was. But we made it. Its got insulation wiring and new flooring. It's great. My dad purchased another plot of land in 2016 in MO. So that's where him and my brother moved to.. 2 weeks before christmas there house burnt. Everything was gone again. My brother moved back in with us in ft. Scott. But We can't keep our heads above water either still doing work here only a 1 bedroom. No carpet. That's ok. Broken kitchen window..that's ok.. But family is everything. And it is storm season. My point? We can't afford a storm shelter. And my home withstanding a damaging tornado is a laugh.. But No one is laughing. I can't lose anyone else due to something stupid. All We need is a celler.. Nothing fancy just underground. My name is Laura Routt. if its possible to recieve help. But there are a lot of people who needs help. Thanks for reading.

  13. I need help and I'm a person who helps others but has a hard time accepting help, affirming my desperation.
I've been in crisis mode consistently for a bit over a year. After losing my husband/bf of 20 yrs to pancreatic cancer at age 49 without warning my life's been flipped upside down. My son tragically lost use of his leg in a wheeler accident, my daughter had a mass in her neck softball size surgically removed, my golden retriever died, and now my rental has been destroyed by a tenant from hell!! I keep smiling but need help! Please reach out!!

  14. I am asking for a family of 8 as Well! Mom and Dad work hard to provide for their kids however they r living in a trailer with electrical and plumbing issues, rats coming in holes, and in some rooms even see the ground outside thru the floor! I am so afraid for this family that there house will catch fire and if there is ever a deserving family it's them! The kids are so sharing and giving! Please I ask anyone willing to help a Mississippi Family in Need ASAP please contact me April

  15. My sister leaves in a home in the woods with her daughter and my youngest sister. Her husband can't find work with his union there so he works out of state. He is only able to come home for a visit one week in the year.
Her home is forty-five minutes north of New York City. This year her home was devastated by the winter storms they suffered through. The foundation is crumbling under her home, one side of her house was affected when a large tree fell after being hit by lightning, and most of the power on that side of the house is gone. She needs a new septic system put in, and one of the two bathrooms is completely unusable because the tub fell through the floor.
My sister works in the school system and she runs a day camp for children with special needs. She is the kindest person I know, and she is past the point of handling all her homes problems. She doesn't ask for help, and there is no one who lives near enough to help her. She has a wood burning stove which heated the small home and has to go out into the woods and drag home fallen trees to heat them.
This winter did a number on her home. Please consider her for a much-deserved makeover.

  19. We just purchased a historical florida bungalow in a small town. The history on this house is fascinating ! It is in horrible condition and in desperate need of a make over! I plan to put my business in the space…since the home is in a historic business district. It has been nicknamed the old hippie house. Because of its very colorful past! Because the community all have stories about this house built in 1928. I truly feel the story would make a fabulous and interesting show!

  20. I would like to know what i need to do in order to get a home makeover for my boyfriend as he is the best man i have ever met but his house is in bad shape and he has done so much for me that i would love to give him back something that would mean the world to him. He works a lot but does not have enough money to get the house in the shape it needs to be and in my health condition he is always making sure that i am okay and he is always taking care of me. So please let me know if you may be able to help in any way. He means the world to me.

  21. Hi my name is Imani Dixon and I am 25 years old. I am the oldest of 5 children and have two loving parents. My parents have struggled throughout life and are very caring people. My father is a woodworker and retired basketball coach. My mother is a businesswomen who has settled down to a stay at home mom due to breast cancer. One main obstacle we have faced is having an unfinished home. My father always took it under his wing to fix up our house but ever since they had children he has had plenty of interruptions and delimmas causing him to never finish our house. One of my brothers is autisitic andhas cereabyl Paulsy. My father is his main caretaker. My father had his own business but being a caretaker for my brother has took him away from his work and also building our home. When I was 13 I got diagnosed with a serious autoimmune diesase. They thought it was cancer but caught it right before I started chemo. Shortly after was when my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Throughout my life my parents have also helped people and even allowed homes less people to stay in our house even though it was no where near done. We are currently living in a house with a bad roof, which our insurance won’t replace, mold, insects, mice infestation, and no a/c or heat. When it rains we have to place buckets in almost every room in order to keep the water out. My family has been through a lot and deserves a makeover. I have recently moved back home from college and currently working on my masters degree. If I could possibly get my family help it would be a blessing. There is more to the story but this is just the beginning of it. Thank you

  22. I would like my grandmothers home to be made over. She has raised me since birth and ever since she always had custody of one of my cousins. She currently has custody of my two year old brother and my three little cousin under the age of 12 . Her refrigerator is broken, microwave also. Roaches have invaded the house. Not her fault she keeps it mostly clean but it’s hard for her to clean everything and raise a two year old. She is currently disabled and cannot work. Her house has been in our family for over 80 years. It isn’t as pretty as it used to be. If able to please consider my grandmother

  23. I recently finished nursing school. I had plans to fix my mother's house. She was in bad health to the point she was a shut in. I worked 2-3 jobs while in school. My mother helped me watch the kids. I planned to fix her house once I graduated. I thought I would have money… She passed away in January, before I could fix her house. Now I am a nurse. But, being a single mother with student loans, I'm seriously strapped for money. I'm trying to remodel her house to make it livable for my children and myself. I'm doing everything myself. The house is in poor repair, due to her disability, many inside animals and constant tobacco use. I have torn out all the carpet. I've bleached some walls. I've painted the living room. I have flooring for the living room coming in next week. I'm drowning in debt from school and remodeling, while still paying rent in a 2 bedroom apartment, and trying to fix this house. It's a cute little house. Any help would be appreciated.
I've put all of myself into school and my children. I started school after leaving an abusive marriage. I'm giving this all I have. Trying to maintain two households, a job, my children, and suffering the loss of my mother. If this house is made suitable, not only would it benefit my children and myself, my late mother would be so proud. Thanks for your consideration.

  24. Hello. I am commenting with hopes of being able to give something to someone very deserving, My mom. After my parents divorced, she stepped up and works 2 jobs to make sure her kids have always had a roof over our heads. She was determined to buy a place for us to call our new home . I was her realtor and we looked at alot of homes . Being the youngest of 3 and only male, i do my best to protect her so was picky on location . I wanted to be able to move out and not worry if she'll be alright .The house we found is in a very nice area with the space we needed but in rough shape. She's owned it for 6 years and has continued working her 2 jobs while watching my nieces 3 days a week. She has put a lot of money in the home and slowly marked things off the list while some things we've had to redo a couple times . There is still quiet a few things left that are costly and things i would like to see her get done simply because she deserves to truly love the home she's worked so hard for .Plus she deserves to enjoy it .I try my best to help with what i can but what i want to give her takes money. I told her when we first looked at the house that we can make it hers. I want to fulfill that promise and would be thankful to be able to do it sooner rather then later .

  25. I am Sabrina Knox. I live in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. I need your help. My mom has been a single mother for the last twenty-four and a half years with a little help now and again. I live in a four bedroom and one bathroom trailer. One of the rooms is really small it should be a storage room not a bed room. I live with my mom, my two brothers and my three sisters. 28. Would love for my mom to be able to have an extreme home make over. She is a 58 year old that has had 2 biological kids and many many many of other as that she cared for for years. She's been married and divorced witch was out of her control. She was remarried for 18 yrs and that man left her for another woman leaving her stranded with everything to do on her own. The thing is she can't do it on her own. She's disabled and has ALOT of health issue. She ownes the property she lives in but it is a trailer and it is a very old one and is falling apart. There's just no way with her health, disabilities, and her limited income that she can do all the things that needs to be done to her place to make it safe and healthy for her. She really deserves a healthy and safe place to live but resources where we live are also limited as well. Somthing like this would change her life forever for the better in so many ways. Please please please make this a reality for her. Thank you!!

  29. Hello my name is Lindsay! I started looking for homes to by when I found out I was pregnant shortly after that I miscarried but still went on to buy my own home at 20 years old in October of 2017. Knowing what I do now about my life there is a lot I would of done differently but I trust that God has a purpose for my life. I now am a full time college student, work a full time night shift job and a part time job for gas money and I am still living paycheck to paycheck. I send all my extra time helping the community and my church and do not have any extra money or time to put into my home. I do have fur babies because I ended a pick me up after the miscarriage and my home doesn't have a fenced in yard that they need. My home was built in the 1960's and I am very thankful for the home that I have but there are so many things that need fixing. My doors are so old they are not hanging right and have wholes all the way around them. My electricity bill this winter was more than my mortgage and I couldn't afford it, thankfully I had friends and family to help me out or my electricity would of been turned off in the winter time. My back room in the back doesn't have any air running through it and my pipes freeze. There are trees that need cut down and many more things. I know there are so many more people that need help just like me, but I feel like I am drowning. And coming home to a nice home that I did not have to worry about would help me more than I can put into words. Please consider me, thank you.

  30. I would like to have a Home Makeover so that I would have a home for my husband and myself. Plus two apartments added to it as I have a daughter that has had two sessions with Cancer since 2013, is currently dealing with Crhons disease. Just had surgery to have part of her colon cut out and the good parts put back together, part of her intestines cut apart & put back together and a patch put on her bladder- all this caused because she had internal radiation for one of the cancers. She lives 22 miles from me. I have a grandson that was seriously hurt in a car accident Dec. 2016 and has been laid up all this time. Currently unable to get Social Security Disablity – so I'm paying the household expenses there. He lives 5 miles from us. I am constantly on the road going from one place to other. I'm the one that my daughter, grandson and husband all depend on for everything and I'm the only one to take them to appointments. Would like all of us under the same roof – yet everyone have their own space. As it is right now, I have to spend nights with my daughter as she is unable to take care of herself. With all her medical conditions she has been unable to eat and only weighs 91 lbs. If I could have everyone in one home where I could get to anybody within minutes or seconds it would make life easier. On top of that I had to give up working 2 days a week, so now I'm only working 3 days and sometimes – appointments cut into that time. Some days I'm lucky if I see my husband an hr in the morning and hr at night. I am 77 years old and my husband is 79. got Married in Jan. 2017 and because of medical reason as stated above – we haven't been able to spend a lot of time together. I love my job as I feel I have a volunteer job, but get paid for it. I work in an insurance office that only deals with Medicare – so I'm working and service Seniors that are our clients throughout NY State. I believe in dotting the I's and crossing the T's to make sure they are getting what they should be getting with their Medicare Advantage Plan. I often go beyond and above board, but that is what has put our clients at ease, and feel confident that they have some one who cares and is willing to help them. I feel that if we all were under one roof, we could be a closer family, everyone would feel more secure. I forgot to mention that my husband is a diabetic and medical things have changed his life so he forgets to take his medication which is very important to his health. There have been times he has fallen in the house, I have had to call 911 to help get him up. The other night while I was staying at my daughter's house 22 miles away – I got home the next morning and he had 2 black eyes where he had fallen. Said it had taken him an hour to crawl to the living room so he could get up. He didn't have a phone near him at the time. If I had been in the house – I would have heard him get up – I would have watched to see if he was walking O.K. and been there. I feel like I'm letting everybody that I love down, because I can't be close to them all at the same time. I know there is a lot more people out there a lot worse off than me (us), but it sure would make life a lot more easier and healthier for all of us. Thank God I'm the healthy one. Each of us live in a small one family home. Where my husband & I live is the only place that the property is big enough to make the transition for a bigger more convenient home for us all. I forgot, my daughter has 2 dogs which are her children – one is a 60 lb. thinks he is a lap dog, and a 40 lb. and she loves her mother also. They are her companions. They love Grandma also. Don't mention to them that Grandma is coming they go wild.
Please is there anyway you can help me, so that I can be there and help my family. I love them all.

  31. hi I would really love it if my grandparents got the chance to have a home makeover they have both worked hard all there lives they bought there house over 20 years ago and it has hardly changed they just haven't the time. they deserve this because they basically brought me up as a child as I didn't have the best start they stuck by me even tho I was hard to deal with at times they gave me so much love and contentment I wouldn't no were I would be if it wasn't for them. my grandma has worked at Walton manor care home she was manager for many years taking care off others she is so caring she would be there all hours it is like her second home she could of retired by now but she couldn't as its just who she is so when she eventually decides to I would love that her home would be all done so she can relax instead of needing to do the house It would be the best gift I could give her for saving me.

  34. I live in Woodbine NJ. 8 years ago I met my husband, 3 years ago we were married. He open heartedly took over the role of daddy to my 2 children from a previous marriage age 2 and 7 at the time. He loves them as if they were his own. We have been living together for about 6 years now in his mothers house which we want to buy from her. We just happen to love the location. The local school that my now 9 year old attends is a big part of our community. My now 14 year old attends the local Cape May Tech High School. Just about Every body knows everybody. Its not that the house isn't large enough, it is that it needs work. We have a full unfinished basement, that we don't use do to occasional minimal flooding. there may be mold we just choose to not go down there unless we have too. About a year ago, my father, who lives on his social security disability check, became unable to afford a place of his own, and it just so happened that financially we were struggling at the time. So to help each other out, I went down to Florida and moved him up into our home. being that the 4th bedroom in the house was so tiny we turned that into my husbands game room and we turned the den into my fathers bedroom. we are constantly running out of money trying to renovate. we spend more time fixing things then we actually get to spend time together. we have a huge backyard that we would like to utilize but again with both me and my husband working 45+ hours a week, we just don't have the time. The only vacation we have ever been able to afford was a trip to VA for a friends wedding in which we stayed at their home while they were in the hotel accommodations for their wedding. This is the only way we were able to go. we have the options for natural gas but cannot afford to have the lines ran to the house. in the winter our propane bill averages more then I make in a month and do to the condition of the home electric is even higher when we keep the air at 75 in the home to try to keep cool. Please help us. We don't know how to help the situation. we have tried and nothing yet has worked.

  35. I am a dreamer. I always have been. I always will be. He is my hero. He always has been. He always will be! There is something to be said about the special bond between a little sister and her big brother; especially one who saved my life when I was drowning. Growing up, we never had much- but we had each other and it has made all the difference. I cannot think of a person I know more deserving of an extreme house makeover than my brother. For ten years now, his family of five has lived in a cramped and cluttered home that only has two bedrooms. My young niece and nephew share one room. Their teenage brother has the other. My brother and his wife sleep on a pullout hide-away bed that he built and placed in their kitchen. Every year since they have lived there, the basement floods. They have battled mold spores, earwig infestations, and insurance companies. The wooden porch around his home is dilapidated, rotten, and just plain unsafe. The wooden balcony upstairs has never been used and was deemed "dangerous" shortly after they moved in. Like many hard-working Americans, they have no choice but to live there as they have a mortgage they cannot get out of. I have prayed heavily for him and his family to reap the rewards of what they sow. Believe me… they sow seeds selflessly wherever they go. They volunteer in the community and their church. They tithe EVERY Sunday and give even more then 10% of their annual family earnings. When they heard of a poor family that needed a car, they gave away their car for free with no expectations in return. When they heard of a single mom having her car totaled in a car accident, they found her a free car too! They paid for the car to be fixed and paid to get her back
on the road. They have adopted children from Africa and sent clothes, letters of encouragement, money and prayers their way. They have paid phone bills for poor family members and friends. They have paid medical and dental bills for friends, family and strangers. They have fed the poor, visited the sick, and live their lives modeling Christ. NEVER once have I heard my brother or his wife complain that they do not have enough- even when I, myself, think they could use more. And, more importantly, that they deserve more. If you ask them, they "are blessed." When I became a single mom, and had nowhere to live, they offered to let me live there and to help with my childcare. They offered me their own bed to sleep on (the one that was built into their kitchen wall); while they were willing to sleep on a couch in their cramped living room. Anything that God has blessed them with- they will gladly share. They truly are humble, so-much-so that if provided the opportunity to have a home makeover- they would think of another family to receive the gift. Because I am a dreamer, I do believe that nothing is impossible. Because I am a Christian, I do believe that miracles happen. Because the universe is smaller than we think… sometimes they happen to people we know. People who are selfless, faithful, and kind. People who live the 'golden rule' and ones who might even be considered, in the eyes of others, a HERO!

  36. My wife and I have a manufactured home in Upson County GA where we have raised our daughter and at times have taken in my wife's mother and brother as the mother was in her 80's when she finally went to live in a nursing home after suffering from dementia, and her brother moved out and went to live on his own. Our front porch is falling apart and we need a handicapped ramp as I am retired from Federal Service and disabled. Recently I had severe pain in my right shoulder and was diagnosed with a staph infection after a fall and had to have the prosthetic removed and go on IV antibiotics for 8 weeks and after two years of having no use of my right arm the surgeon did the surgery again but being a firearms competition shooter and wood craftsman and had to give that up after the injury to my right arm and the minor limitation to my left arm I haven't been able to do much of that at all the last two years or more. Our kitchen cabinets are not at a level where I can reach them so if it's not in the drainer I can't get what I need. My wife took a job driving a cab and my daughter is in school so I am living alone when they are gone. I can't even open the sliding glass door to left out our 8 dogs into the yard because of this and as a result the front room stinks and on my income I can't even replace the carpeting in the front room or do the repairs to my home which I once was able to do. Since coming home from the hospital this last time I am restricted to being at home and it pains me as our dining room floor needs replacing and last year someone stole our CHA from the yard. Our home needs help and I am praying that you can help.

  37. I have a major back yard disaster.. I'm so ashamed of it… I have been totally taken advantage of and left with a mess and have no idea how to fix it… Please contact me for more details if you could help..

  40. Hi. My name is Crystal LaMotte. My husband and I bought our small home when my husband came home from his second tour in Iraq. When we bought the house we thought we'd never have children do to my medical problems. But now we have 2 miracle's. But not a big enough home. We got an addition to put on our home. It is not even close to being liveable and we have no idea where to start. We are in dire need of help. Please is there anything you can do for us.

  41. As a disabled veteran I have always tried to do my best to help my community. I am an active Girl Scout leader and my home is always open to anyone that needs help. We do not have much but what we have we don't mind sharing. My husband is disabled with severe back injury incurred by a motor vehicle accident while I do dialysis. Our home is in need of updating. We are physically unable to do the work ourselves. We do what we can, when we can. Some days are better than others. We just need help, physical help to do the work. We want to still be able to help other kids in the future with a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen to their problems or a place to stay until they get on their feet but our current house is just not enough. Thank you for your consideration.

  42. My husband and I bought our house in 2012 with plans to do a major renovation to it. It was built in 1972 and has had owners that did not keep up with the needed maintenance. It sits on a small lake in Tampa, Florida and once renovated, the before and after picture would be quite dramatic.

We were planning to start the renovations soon as we were trying to get financially prepared. Tragically, my husband of 17 years and father of my 2 children was killed on January 21, 2018. He was on a business trip in Kabul, Afghanistan when the hotel where he was staying was attacked by the Taliban. My children and I are devastated (to put it lightly).

My husband was the breadwinner of our family. He started his career as a reporter; landing in Tampa as a reporter for the local news. When he left television news reporting he started a public relations company, Selig Multimedia Inc. I am a former teacher (25 years in the classroom) and now am a stay at home mom.

Our house leaks with the Florida rains and hurricanes as well as having significant rotting walls. It swarms with dry wood termites every spring and has various wires hanging on the outside (I have no idea what purpose these wires serve). All of the windows are original to the house and most don't even open because they are broken. I fear the fire trap that my upstairs is because of the windows. I'm sure I'm omitting many repairs but I think you get the picture.

I have NO IDEA how to go about hiring an honest, qualified contractor. I don't know what repairs to start with or how to go about this. Right now I'm pretty overwhelmed just trying to put my life and my children's lives bak together. As I'm sure you can understand, we are grieving our terrible loss and are having trouble just putting one foot in front of the other. My kids and I need a home that will be able to house us for the years to come.

Thank you for considering us for Extreme Makeover. It would truly be a godsend at this difficult time. I have included two links about my husband.

  43. I Have adopted 3 children with special needs. I love being their mom. They all attend a private Catholic school that can meet their unique needs. I took a pay cut to teach at the school because I strongly believe in the mission of the school. (To give a Catholic education to all of Gods Children) I adopted my son Noah in 2007. I knew God was calling me to parent children with special needs so in 2008 I adopted Gabriel and them in 2011 I adopted Angelina. All three children were adopted through the Kentucky Foster care system. Noah is now 11, Gabriel is now 10 and Angelina is now 12. Noah has a rare genetic condition called Trio Related Disorder. Their are only 20 other people with Trio Related Disorder at this time. Gabriel has a learning disability and a language delay so he struggles in school. Angelina was unsafe for the first 5 years of her life and as a result struggles psychological issues.

We live in a 1000 square foot home with a partially finished basement. We have one bathroom and 3 bedrooms up stairs. I put a bedroom in the basement for myself. I have tried to keep up with the maintenance of the house. However there always seems to be another big need. some friends painted the brick and repaired some outside for us and I used most of our savings to repair the air conditioner and put in replacement windows. We really could use another bathroom , a walk in tub for Noah so in the future he can take a bath with dignity and it would be nice if the house could accommodate Noah as he becomes an adult, as he will always need care and supervision.

We live paycheck to paycheck but by cutting corners, driving an older van, buying second hand clothes and toys for the children and my self and having only taken one vacation in our lives, I have managed not to have any credit card debt. I owe only for the house, van and typical household bills. It would be so nice to have a house that I know will meet Noah's needs now and in the future.

  44. Hello my name is Jose Mercado, I am writing your wonderful program to see if you could possibly help my sister-in-law Elena Ybarra. Elena has Diabetes and was told recently she only has a few months left to live. Elena lives in a aging mobile home. She has mold everywhere and the roof and ceiling are in bad shape. Elena has a son Isaiah age 17 who will be graduating High school this June and she might not be there and that breaks my heart. Elena's mother and grandmother live next door and they are Elena's primary caregivers. Elena's grandmother is going to be 90 years old at the end of the month of April. Her grandma uses their only vehicle which breaks down often to take Elena to all of her doctor visits. Elena's grandmas mobile home is in need of restoration also. Neither one of the homes are wheelchair friendly and Elena uses a wheelchair . I am asking your help only that she has a safe place to enjoy her life. Thank you and God bless you.

  45. My name is Misty. I am currently living with my friends (Becky and Brian Fellows) and their 7 year old daughter in the small town of Parish, New York because they have limited funds.
Brian does what he can to fix the house but it seems like no matter what he does the house keeps disintegrating. Right now the back side of the house is sinking farther and farther into the ground.
I am applying because I would like them and I to have a house that has plenty of room for all of us without having to trip over another one.

  46. One of my neighbours is the nicest women in the world. But she has lived a very hard life. She does anything and everything for those around her but doesn’t get as much help back. She lives in a home with her disabled brother and her daughter. She inherited the house with her siblings when her mother passed away but they can’t afford the up keep of the home. It is falling apart around them. They have spoken about selling the house and rent another one but they can not afford it due to her brothers medical expenses and her own. They have lived in the home for 20 years and Judy (my neighbour) has spent the most of her life taking care of her dying parents and then her brother who can not take care of himself. Judy does so much for everyone. So we try to help her as much as we can, we have given them a bed, sometimes food. I help them out by giving them hair cuts and my husband tries to help out sometimes in the yard. But there really is so much we can do due to both of us working full time and not having much spare time of our own. Judy helps people all the time. She takes time out of her day to take me to work EVERYDAY because of a back injury I got that made it difficult for me to walk. Even before then, she used to just come and get me so I didn’t have to walk in fifty degree heat.
She’s always ready with a shoulder to cry on for when your having a bad day and goes to extremes to make sure everyone around her is taken care of. She is always worried she may not have a home for her brother and daughter because she can’t afford certain things to be done. She is also limited physicaly herself but she tries. She really needs this. She really deserves this.

  50. Recently a house fire has left my family of 8 homeless. My husband and myself and my 5 children all lived in my childhood home with my elderly mother who has cancer. We had lost our fire insurance prior to the fire so we are left to rebuild our house and our lives alone. We have the land but we are lost. My father a retired navyman had built the upstairs on the house himself. My entire family had lived in that house at one time or another. It was not a mansion but it was all my 84 year old mother had and it was a home filled with love and happiness. I want nothing more than to walk my mom back into her house.

  51. Hi! I'm extremely wanted a home make over. 2 years ago dated February 21, 2016 exactly 5am my husband and my mother-in-law went to church to render their free services. My husband is a public teacher and volunteer organist and choir trainor in our church, while my mother-in-law is a member of a choir. I wake up coz i smell something burning,,, when i opened the door i met the heat of angry fire and smoke! our home gutted on fire!!! I immediately closed the door and wake my kids which my eldest son was only 10 years old and my youngest son was 6. They have no idea what was happening, they were shocked when i kicked and broke our windows so we could escape the fire. I told them that our house was on fire and we need to escape, and they need to follow my directions… i slowly carried first my eldest and out the window and put him on the ground and told him to shout as loud as he can to asked for help to our neighbors who were sleeping at that time, then next was my youngest out to the window. we were so lucky that after we were out into our room, it was the moment that it was eaten by the fire. i cried for help!!! many times till someone heared my call . She called the fire department and later my husband. Our neighbors tried to distinguished the fire but there were no water., even faucet and deep well sinced our country was under El Niño. When the fire rescuers came, it was already late. everything turned into ashes. We were thankful that the fire did not reached the next house near to us. . mostly thankful to God that no life was taken by that incident only small cuts from the broken glass of the windows that i broke to escape. It is really hard to my part that our dream home, the dream house that my mother-in-law dreamt for the longest time. She spent all her money she had save after their marriage with my late father-in-law…It was built 4 years after the death of my father-in-law. When my mother in law was young she and her family did not experienced to have their own house they lived in nipa house of their relative that why she promised to herself to build a house someday. She really strive more so she could finish her studies as a working student and she made it and got employed till she met her forever and have own family and they were blessed with a child which became my husband.

Now we build new memories, new beginning. We build a new house which is about 30sqm. even though it was so small for a family of 5. We love it! but i want an extreme makeover in the interior since everything seems so tight, we dont have a comfy bed and our back is aching especially kids, no cabinets, no drawers, no showers, no ceiling and we live in a tropical place that why it very hot, no dining tables/chairs, no sofa bed, our clothes became a clutter since we dont have a closet. We borrowed chairs from my mom and sister so dont need to sit on the floor… It was very hard to start again, my husband heart was broken everytime he remembered his EL-900 organ and oven ( he loves baking as i do which was also caught in fire) and my son will ask us when we can have a comfy bed, a dining table which we could eat comfortably… we will answered them in God's time, we can not now but maybe,,,just maybe soon…….. I'm just happy that they have been recovered from that traumatic incident, that they have somehow move on…

  52. Good Morning Team,
I am more than excited, energetic, and ready to be blessed with an opportunity of a lifetime; to have a home make-over by the amazing designers. Please contact me. Thank you. Annie Willis

  53. hi Iam standing in the gap for my sister Loretta Hailey she is such a very hardworking woman from Ninety Six SC and she has always looked out for other people and she needs help herself. She has a Mobile home that's in very serious need of a makeover. Her bathrooms are in very bad condition, the floors are caving in and I get so scared that she may fall in. But she just go own and take it day by day. I really wish I could win the lottery to help her. The entire home needs made over. Please help me help a true helping hand of other. God bless

  54. I know a young lady who lost her home due to fire. There is a portion of it remaining but is not safe for living in there fore herself, Son and granddaughter are homeless, going from place to place and in the ER majority of the time with the granddaughter having spinal bifida. The young lady whom is Donna has had 32 surgeries, 3 bout of cancer, now has medical induced lupus and still doing all she can to work as often as she can to provide medical, food and struggling all the way.
At the time of the fire, there was no insurance on the home because of outstanding medical.
This literly breaks my heart. I wish I was wealthy as I would do all I could to remodel and give them a safe place. But I am far from that, I know struggles of being ill and not being able to provide the safe home that they were once use to having, knowing that they at least had a roof over there heads and lots of love.
Please, I am begging you to consider this family to help. I will come help you all any way I can if you do. I paint, and can tile and much more.
May God bring to your hearts the desire and dicision to come to Blountstown, FL and help Donna Dawsey, Her Son and 3Yr old Granddaughter to have a safe place to live again. I want to add that Charles Deen Dawsey Son age 28 served 3 tours in Afganastan only to come back with PTSD, meeting his first love again, having the baby girl (granddaughter) and then the young mother shooting herself. That in turn, left Donna to raise the little girl that has spinal bifida. This familys story is heart wrenching.

  55. Hello from Arizona! Please, please help my mom in Kingman, Arizona. She is on a fixed income and bought a home with hidden fire damage. The home inspector did not do a thorough inspection and is not taking responsibility for missing it. The seller states she was unaware. Then, the people my mom hired to renovate her home took the last of her money and left her without a working bathroom and kitchen. The house itself is very unique and has incredible potential.
My mom has worked extremely hard all of her life and has never asked for help from anyone. She is on a fixed income and has no foreseeable way to fix her house. She is 65 and is “camping” in her home every day. She is a beautiful person that would be incredibly grateful for the help.
    Thank you for your consideration.
    Sincerely,
    Kimberly Desmond Fajardo

  59. Greetings. I am living in the mountains of eastern Puerto Rico. (about an hour east of San Juan, close to the entrance to the rain forest park, El Yunque) My house was hit by both hurricane Irma and hurricane Maria. Since I live alone, I went through both storms alone (but in the company of my dog and 2 cats) I've been trying to fix what I can but….

I know nothing about home repair and my house sustained some damage from hurricane Maria. Thankfully, it's nothing drastic and I can still live in the house. However, some things happened that left certain areas of the house in dangerous conditions. I tried fixing them myself and frankly, I don't even have the kind of tools needed to do the job.

It was over 5 months before I got power and water back so using power tools was out of the question. I've applied to 2 disaster agencies for assistance but apparently they rejected my claims because I haven't heard back from either one. I don't need a complete makeover, just some repairs.

Crazily enough, my house (concrete) has a closet that I think was added to it as an afterthought, as it's just this sort of concrete box stuck on to the outside wall of my bedroom. It seems to be falling off the house now. I can see daylight through the cracks.

I also have a small wooden deck that wraps around the main living area of the house. This includes a wooden walkway up to the front door. Many of the boards have come loose and a few planks blew off the deck, leaving a space big enough for my poor dog to fall through.

As I said, I am luckier than so so many other here on the island but I don't know how else I can get the needed repairs done as I don't have the money to pay someone to do them myself. I am a self employed artist and as such, am in dire financial straits.

Thank you for your consideration and time in reading this. If I can answer any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. I recently got internet returned to my house so we can communicate that way. Phone service down here is still dicey.

  60. I am one of many foster kids that have gone threw the Lawson house hold . I don't even know where to start but from the beginning when I was three I was put in foster care with my sister I was bounced around from home to home bc when I was little I had a brain tumor that gave me seizers and my sister had asthma .Along with the emotional turmoil of being taken from the only thing we new (abuse ) we were very difficult ,they wanted to seperate my sister and I . Being taken away from the only person iv always had was a thought worst than death I begged the social worker to keep me with my sister . They gave it one more shot . They found a family that lived in the country and were excited to take in two odd ball red heads . There name was the Lawsons. When we went to the Lawsons we weighed 30-35 pounds people liked to say we looked like bobble heads . Mrs. Lawson was a nurse back in the day but got riddled with medical issues but never lost her need to help ,she was the closest thing I had to a mom and I wasnt very nice . Dad Lawson was a hard worker /Paster/very involved in the community . My sister and I never felt love from a family we fought it because it was scary to love or be loved because we might loose it . The Lawsons never left us they made us there family Marjorie stayed with me threw every sezier countless doctors appointments she taught me to use a fork tie my shoes she got my sister and I to sleep in a beds , we were never allowed to sleep in beds we only slept under them until we came to the Lawsons they gave us our own bed we never had anything of our own. She got our weight up to a normal 5 and 6 year olds . Dad Lawson taught us responsibility love and compassion. Everything was going so good until I turned 10. The Lawsons only son was in a accident and passed away . He had 2 little boys 1 and 2 he was a choir director and very involved in the community his wife was also a choir director . The whole world stopped that day . The pain was somthing unbearable he was like my brother . The Lawsons were asked if they wanted to put me and my sister back in foster care . They said NO they lost a son they wernt going to loose there daughters . After that dad Lawson promised his son before he passed he would raise his sons and take care of his family . Having the difficulty of juggling two homes our house started to fall apart we slowly had to block off parts of the house bc they were falling apart the down stairs was rotten from the water damage the deck was rotten from the water damage our living room ceiling was falling in temporary fixes only did so much . The stairs railing isn't safe and the steps that came up to the house have dissapered..As the years have passed they have given so much there old age has caught up to them and the house the only place iv called home is in ruines they can't get into the house bc of the steps it's breaking my heart to see them struggle they are talking about dragging a trailer in front of there house and living in that so dad Lawson can get in and out . My two nephews who were 1 and 2 are now 19 and 20 both in collage amazing young men . My sister is a social worker at the VA and she also works in the E.R at our local hospital . I am a veterinarian tech. Currently a cna in school for surgical . All this came from 2 people that never gave up . They gave everything they had . I'm desperate I prayed and this show popped into my head . Please consider our family we need you

  61. im asking for help for my husband and I. We live in a camper with no plumbing no way to wash clothes and extremely cluttered. we moved from Maryland to north Carolina to get fresh start which seems to be more than we have expected my husband works while on disability and im a nanny currently but hoping to branch out eventually since childcare is what I wanna do . we don't have a car or anything to get around here in Burnsville nc

  62. My brother and I inherited our home from our parents after they passed, dad passed almost 17 years ago and mom almost 2 years ago. When we took over the home, we found that there were many things that needed attention, such as the well needs attention, we are having to haul water and go elsewhere to bathe regularly, the whole house needs to have insulation as it was not very well insulated, also need the roof replaced (preferably with a tin roof), we need a larger kitchen with the furnace moved and hot water heater replaced and moved as well, there is just so many things that need attention and we are both on disability and just don't have the funds to be able to address all these issues. It would be greatly appreciated if you could see your way clear to come in and assist us in putting our family home to rights and make it fully livable again.

  63. Hi extreme makeover. My family and I would love a new home makeover. We never are good enough for anywhere no matter how hard my mother or us kids try. Ever since I was little it's always been a struggle. We have moved to Kalispell in 2012 because we needed to get away because we lost everything again. We moved up here after her fiance died, she was a single mother since 2004 to 2012. There was never a time that I remember my mom working 3 full time jobs just to keep a roof over our head. And now that we're losing everything again, she is down to 1 full time job doing what she does best. My mother since she was 16 years of age she has always been there for everyone but herself she had worked as a CNA for 22years all over the state of montana. She is the most amazing woman you'll ever meet and because if her hard work and loyalty I feel like she deserves the world. And we've never had much but we always push through.my moms boyfriend and her are always picking up odd jobs on top of working their jobs and still are constantly in fear of not having enough money to survive.
they always seem to pull us through . Extreme makeover it would be an absolute miracle to have you guys give us the world. No matter what struggles we go through were still always together. I'm 17 years old and the youngest daughter. I have 2 older sisters ones 17 and the other is 20 and pregnant with twins a boy and a girl. I also have 2 little brothers ages 10 and 7. Also my mom constantly let's homeless teens or troubled youth stay with us. She provides food shelter and love for anyone in need no matter how much more struggle it causes her. Her credit is shot and paychecks get garnished due to her medical bills. Her health has really spiraled downhill in the past three years and she can barely walk or move most days but yet she still keeps going to give us a decent life. She has no insurance and cannot afford insurance so she is unable to get medical attention for herself. We live in a 3 bedroom trailer paying 1000$ a month with mold on the ceilings and in the sinks and showers. All of us kids are always getting sick and our mom nurtures us all back to health each and everytime.Holes in the floors and doors barely open. Home makeover it would be a blessing we have 2 babies on the way and 5 kids and 2 adults all in one broken molded down trailer. We also have 3 dogs and 2 cats that are very loving. We try so hard for so little.. thank you home extreme. It would mean the world to light up our family and bring joy back into our lives. We would be so thankful to have family time again. We haven't been out doors in a very long time because we never have a reliable transportation or anything. We lost alot when we lived across state we lost everything we had and moved to Kalispell Mt with absolutely nothing.

  64. IM NOT ASKING FOR A MAKEOVER NOR AM I MORE DESERVING THAN ANYONE ELSE PLEASE JUST ASK THE WORLD ON HERE FOR PPL TO GO TO MY FB PAGE IN 24HRS AND HELP SHARE THE FUNDRAISER IVE CREATED FOR MY MOTHER CALLED "MY MOTHERS UNFINISHED MIRIACLE"

I would like to thank each and everyone of you for taking the time out to read my story. I'm not sure how im going to sum everything up. I've prayed to God for his help with my words so they will just pour from my heart so gracefully to where my words can be heard and understood. Never in my life would I have thought i'd be sitting here at 25 realizing my mom is no longer on this earth with me anymore and sitting here replaying in my head all the memories i have of her and coming to the realizition that we will never be able to make another beautiful memory with that sweet angel again until its our time to leave our temporary home.

I hate calling this a "story" everytime I try to explain things to whomever. Sadley though its not a story to me this is my life right now, but to you all this is a story that I hope none of you have to face anytime soon. I hope its a story that you can feel my families pain and at the very least to please just keep us all in your thoughts and prayers and that alone means very much to me. All things are possible through god and prayer. My family and I are in desparate need of help. Even if yall could please just share my post and help me spread the word all over the world it would be such a blessing and greatly appreciated.

In 2016 my pawpaw, Benny Guy was diagnosed with small call lung cancer and he sadley passed away January 19th, 2018. He lost his battle to lung cancer. The Drs. didn't give him long to live. I believe they guesstimated a few months, but we kept praying for a miriacle for GOD to save my pawpaw. Sure enough that man was rock hard. He put his body through so much pain until he drew his last breath. He NEVER gave up. Although we knew what the outcome could be, we all still held on and kept praying for a miriacle to save my pawpaw. He definitetly kicked those three months by a long shot with everything he put his body through just so we could have one more day with him. We knew he belived in GOD, but sometimes it worried some of us if he would be going home to Heaven. Then January 19th 2018 rolled around as he was drawing his final breaths he was calling out for his FATHER OUR GOD OF ALL CREATIONS. Fast fwd a bit one of his daughters was in his bedroom gettting something and she came across on a piece of paper where he had written down the date he made everything right with the Lord. So, all this time everyone is praying for a miriacle for him to be saved. At first I was angry at God, but then soon realized God hears all of our prayers, our crys, our thanks. GOD may not have saved my pawpaw's body here on earth, but he saved him spiriatually. GOD IS REAL, if you allow him to be. No matter the outcome on my mom's house i do know i will never doubt God, I know he hears me and my crys for help, I also know that God has a plan and a reason for why everything happens the way it does.

For someone who has never lost someone so close ever would assume knowing that the person is going to pass away any day now would make it easier on everyone left behind… It doesn't. It is never easier one way or the other. As if loosing one person wasn't hard enough on me and my family we were struck hard with another death not even a month later on February 12th, 2018. My mother Arlene Houston, and in my mom's case no one knew, not even her. It was so tragic and unexpected.

My mother had three children that she cherrished more than her own life, more than what us three childrren were ever capable of understanding. She also had two grandbabbies that stole the spotlight in her heart. We were all very loved more than we knew and its sad it took death for me atleast to realize that womens love she had for me. My dad and mom were married for many years and yet divorced for many years. At some point in life as us children grew up not only did we all go our own ways, but my mom and dad went thier different ways and he never saw her house everyday like we would. We took the small things for granted. Even though we saw my mom and her house everyday we failed to realize how much she loved us, we failed to realize that death is real rather or not if we know its coming or if its unexpected. The day we found my mother, my dad and my uncle did something very hard in attempts to protect us children. They went in my moms house and for my dad it was his first time in a long time. They tried to pick up a little bit, set cleaning products out, get the house aired out so we could hopefully not have to be scared by the smell of death of someone we loved very much. My dad pointed out to us that after all the years he had not been in that house one of the things he noticed was all the pictures of her children and grandchildren, how there was not one more space for one more picture, not on a wall, a dresser, side table and yet we walked in there day in and day out at times and never noticed how special we were to her, but my dad did. My dad helped us children realize how much our mother truly loved her children and grandchildren.

My mother was dissabled. She had alot of health issues that were beyond her control, and even if she could control them she didnt have the money to. She was on a fixed income due to not being able to work. She suffered every single month and yet would still stop for the guy who had nothing sitting on the corner and she would offer all that she could. She tried to keep minutes on my cell phone when she could just so she would be able to talk to me everyday to know that I was ok and so she didnt have to feel so alone. There are so many times she gave me her last dollar to help me and my little family out when she had nothing. She would get so mad at me if I didnt accept her help. It made her so happy to help others. It gave her a reason to get up most days. I just wish someone could have shown her that there are amazing people all over the world willing to help someone in need when she was alive just as she always did nomatter what. One of our last fights were we were running low on food and a friend of my moms had bought her some food and things and gave her a little cash for gas. My mom called me over and over trying to make me take half of the food and half of the money and this time I said no mom we will be ok. We will figure it out you keep it you need it, well that turned into a fight… YES a fight or argument whichever you want to call it. My point is its just sad and our mother would do anything and everything to help someone in need and im hoping by writing this i can find some help in some way or another to give back to my mother what she deserves and to help me fufill my promise to my mom.

This is a complicated story, but im going to try to make this short sweet and simple without confusing yall or going into to much detail. When my mom and pawpaw were alive years ago after my moms third divorce someone tried to take the house from her that she was renting and had been renting for years prire to meeting tis person. My mom couldnt fix this problem on her own. My pawpaw then stepped in and worked it out with the bank got it in his name and my mom then made the monthly payments to the bank "for my pawpaw" even though it was moms house she was renting to own. She put all the money she had into that house and over the years the house kept showing more damages. Damages that cost money, that she didn't have and that us kids dont have. After my pawpaw passed my moms house she was renting was supposed to be put in her name but we had to wait on paperwork and all that that we are still currently waiting on for that to even happen. Now that my mom unexpectedly passed away before that was able to happen the bank basically owns the house and if payments are not being made each month they can easily come in and take the only thing left of hers. Easy solution would be for my family to move in there and us take over the payments, but im afraid things just are not that simple. I also am afraid if that could even ever work out as a plan could i mentally be ok with living in her house with it being the same way it was when she passed away in it. I could not make payments and do repairs at the same time the roof is caving in, its leaking, front porch poles are rotted, and a whole lot more is wrong with that house than what meets the eye. Until all that is sorted out and while we are gutting moms house, still allowing it to air out and scroundging for the money to make each monthly house payments I please ask all of you for help in any way that you can until we can figure out how to save my moms house, until we can complete my mothers miriacle. Any donations to go towards monthly house payments of $376 i believe and any donations for repairs I truly thank yall from the bottom of my heart. You have no idea how much it means to me and my family from yalls love and support. Thank you very much for sticking to the end of this with me and reading everything. I know this will be public, but i need help with my moms miriacle I dont want to miss any help that I might can recieve, so im going to post my cell phone number with this in hopes no one starts prank calling me. My name is Maci and my cell phone number is (334)207-5728 If I miss you on Facebook please call me. Leave a message with your name and number and i'll return your call as soon as possible.

As you can see i've tried to wrap this story up a couple times, but I keep adding. My mom struggled with her house for a long time until she drew her last breath. I tried to be there for my mom as much as i could and help as much as i could, but there were a lot of things i simply could not fix bc i didn't know how to. I always told my mom that i would never give up on helping her make her house a home again, I told her there were lots of people out there willing to help it was just the fact of trying to find them, so in my mothers wishes i want everyone to please PLEASE help me keep my promise to my mom and succeed in my promise If we loose this house we will have nothing left of our mother. I dont want to guilt trip anyone, I just want to be heard and I want to be helped. Everyone have a great day and if you are lucky enough to still have your mother alive and living nomatter how mad you are at her or even if yall have not spoken in years call her up. ITS NOT WORTH IT. Tell your mother you love her and how much you appreciate her because no one knows Gods plan. but God and no one is promised tomorrow.

  65. This is something i put together for FB I'm not asking for a makeover, but for someone anyone to please go to my page in 24hrs and share the fundraiser to save my mothers house its called"MY MOTHER'S UNFINISHED MIRIACLE" PLEASE AND THANK YOU ALL.

  66. Hello I am looking for my mother to have a home make over. My family is pretty broke. My mother had her house broken into while taking care of my sister whojust had back surgery. So they squatted and it took us 4 months to get them out. They did something to my mom's gas now she has to pay about 3,000 to be able to have had at all. The floors are caving in there is no central air. My mom really could use the help.

  67. I am not one to complain or come across as ungrateful. My mother raised four children and my took care of my disabled father until she passed in 1999. I lost my 7 year old son in 1997 after a ATV accident that left is father suffering post traumatic stress. I take care of my disabled father and husband. I work while dealing with my own health issues. Our home is falling apart, mold is in the walls, floors falling through, no air conditioning. I worry everyday about my families safety and health due to the conditions of the home. I pray that you would gives us any assistance that you can. May God Bless you for what you do for people.

  68. Good Afternoon Mr. Pennington: I would like to introduce you to a family in Jarrettsville, MD. Mr. & Mrs. Bill Henry. This couple lives in a run down double wide mobile home with 9 of their 11 children ranging from ages 4 to 16.
They are a very Christian family with good values. Mr. Henry works for a warehouse while his wife Kathy left her job a Walmart to home school her kids after they were continuously bullied by classmates because they prayed before they ate their lunch. These children are very well mannered. They attend their Church services every weekend. Their daughter Brandy is married to a Minister, Colin Strong, a Minister of a Church on Singer Road.
This family will not ask for anything. They are afraid if someone sees their home they will condemn it. A beautiful Christian family like this is hard to come by in this day and age and I so want them to live in an environment that they can continue the Christian teachings to their children and continue through the generations.

  69. Hi my name is Carolin im 21 years old, married to a loving husband. We have two little daughters 2, and 7 month old. I love watching your show and seeing the happiness you are giving to so many deserving families, and always wish i could be one of them. We moved a while ago and are currently living in a camper, my husband works hard every day to provide for the family but due to our low income we are not able to find a place to rent much less a house to buy, he wants to give us a better life so much but we are living from paycheck to paycheck just trying to pay for all expenses and take care of the little ones there is just no money left to save up. I don't want my kids to grow up this way they deserve so much better! I pray that my story touches your heart, and even if we don't get chosen i'm not losing hope that someday in the future we might have a little house of our on to call home… God bless you for what you are doing.

  70. Every time i watch your show i am always thinking of myself and my family needs but i believe there is a family who is deserving of this life changing opportunity.

In a village i grew up in there is a church called "In The House of The Lord"

This church has been around for over twenty five years and it is led by two of the most selfless individuals Prophets Aaron and Mpho Motlhasedi.

This church has been running a home base care programme for HIV and AIDS affected people and a feeding scheme for orphaned children as well as caring for those who are less fortunate the list is endless.

Now i believe they can use a better structure that have a kitchen, offices and a play ground. They are currently operating in a structure made out of old corrigated iron.

    Please assist.

  71. RUNNING OUT OF TIME! My sister Jeanette, has just gone through her 2nd open heart, valve replacement surgery (22 years after her first) A nurse of over 25 years has always cared for others is now having a slow and painful recovery. Her surgeon advised she was a 'high risk' patient…. family members drove from near and far to be with her the day before her surgery only 2 short weeks ago. Since surviving the first 24 hrs, Jeanette has been suffering with her recovery process. Her long term partner has been diagnosed with a brain tumour and it is terminal.. I am not too sure how long he has to live. Jeanette had been caring for Kev, working full time and helping with her grandchildren, leading up to this surgery. Jeanette would never ask for such a request and of course, does not know that I am writing to you. They both have been so so strong the past year, their house is not in the best condition! Home renovations were not done properly, the bath in particular is a major hurdle to get in and out. It is not a practical set up. With both of them having a horrible time, the house, yard and other material type things have been the least of their worries. Please please consider looking at this application for a complete house makeover… to, for the short time they have left together, make their home a safe practical and comfortable one. Thank you for your time.
