  1. I'm hoping you all can help my family. My 70 year old mama went into a coma September 3, 2015. After 12 days she opened her eyes. Spent 38 days in a hospital. Then was moved to a long term rehabilitation center. After being there a week she started hallucinating and having dementia. This time last year I was making her funeral arrangements. In January amazingly she started getting better mentally. Still not getting the physical therapy she so desperately needs, she is unable to walk. Do to the lack of care she is coming home. To her 1969 moble home. It needs completely re leveled, floors from the plywood up. I'm amazed the refrigerator hasn't fallen through the floor. Bathroom needs to be accessible with a wheelchair. A ramp instead of stairs to get in would be huge. I don't even have a vehicle no less one she could get in. In July we lost my only sibling suddenly. I myself have health issues. Moved back home to help mama. Thank you for reading.

  2. Hello, my name is Dianna. I can tell you a sad story or I can tell you that my house is falling apart, just like everyone else on here. We all have a story. And I'd like to share mine so that maybe one day my little family gets a home. I am an 18 year old college student with 3 siblings; 19, 15, and 6 year old. Then there's my mom. The greatest person I know. I could say a trillion great things about her. If there's one thing in the world I'd give to my family, it's an amazing home to live in. My mother is a single parent, she works graveyard shifts at the Community Hospital and sacrifices everything for her kids. There is 5 of us in a 2 bedroom house that we've been renting out for the last four years. Sometimes my mom doesn't have enough money to pay for rent, but somehow she finds a way. My mother and little brother sleep in the living room on the couches. And my sister and I share room. The conditions we live in are not a healthy environment for any of us . It's hard on my mother but she never shows it. All she shows us is love. All I ask is for a dream home. A dream home to my mother and family.

  3. Hi my name is jennie. I live in a little place called downsville la. Three and a half years ago I lost my father an ten months later my mother passed away. Both me and my husband haf an option to try an get my parents home but it wasnt in the books would cost too much money to get it in our names an too much money to fix it. We came across a little 2 bdrm 1 bath trailer from a friend to purchase it needs alot of work an we both work but its not enuff income to get this place fixed like we wont it. It doesnt have central heating or air jus window units an little floor heaters. It gets pretty cold in this trailer especially at night. We have no ceiling in our hallway jus insulation hanging out an also leaks pretty bad when it rains an im afraid its gunna build up with mold an my husband is very allergic to mold. I myself on the other hand have asthma an being in this trailer has caused several of my asthma attacks. We also have a son that is 15 an has a small room with no wall that goes into the living room he hangs a curtain up to have some privacy for hisself when he is sleeping. His elctric outlets are not safe especially where his ac is, and most outlets throughout the trailer are not safe at all. Im writing because we really need the help that we desperately need. Please consider us.

  4. My husband and is one of the most Generous and Caring people I know. He has been in pain since he was a young child. He should be on disability and has applied and been denied several times. He is not able to work because of the pain he's in. I was diagnosed with MS in 2001 and have suffered with Cluster Migraines since 2000. We moved in with my husband's grandmother and cared for her during the last few years of her life. She had dementia and needed constant care. After she passed in 2008 we stayed in the house which had been hers and was to be left to my Mother in law. My mother in law wanted us to stay in the house to keep some very greedy relatives from trying to take it. My husband's mother hasn't made out a will but she had a conversation with her eldest son and let him know what her wishes are for how things are to be done after she dies. She is still alive and has dementia now. She knew her memory was going bad and she trusted her eldest son to carry out her wishes. She wants nothing done with the property till after her death. She wants the house we live in to go to my husband to be his home because she understood that he would most likely never be able to afford anything else. She wanted the rest of her children to divide the rest of 34.5 acres evenly amongst them. None of the other 4 children have ever lived on the property, none have cared about it or wanted anything to do with it. They all want their inheritance though. They want it now, while their mother is still very much alive. Her eldest son was to be executor of her estate since she trusted him to be fair, to be impartial, to carry out her wishes as she stipulated. She let him be put on the deed as property owner in her place because she knew she would have memory issues as her mother and grandmother both had. The siblings were supposed to give first opportunity to their siblings if they are not interested in the property. We figured we would have to buy the land from the siblings. My husband loves this area, he has a sentimental attachment to the land since it belonged to his great grandmother and then to his grandmother. He has lived on the property since shortly after his brother accidentally burned their childhood home down. Now my brother in law wants to sell the property out from under us to the greedy relatives. He is ignoring his mother's wishes. He doesn't care what she wants only what he wants and what the greedy relatives want. My husband has cared for wolf dogs and had raised them for 23 years before we were married 13 years ago. My husband and I actually were childhood sweethearts. We have known each other since we were 3. He doesn't deserve to be left homeless and we still have 12 wolf dogs we are providing sanctuary for. His siblings were talking of putting their mother in a nursing home. My husband promised her years ago he would never let that happen if he had any say or could stop it from happening. At this time my husband made an agreement with his brother to buy 35 acres of the property that belonged to some of their uncles (their moms brothers). We haven't seen a contract yet and are not really believing anything his brother tells us. He said we would have the value of the house which was to go to us, to move. Well then my husband wanted to have the value go to his uncles to help them and have property of our own by buying the 70 acres which was the uncles. Right away his brother said we wouldn't be able to afford the 70 acres that the value of the house and property should be divided 5 ways amongst the 5 siblings. He also threatened to sell everything their moms 35 acres and her brothers 70 to the greedy relatives. Relatives whom because of their greed have lied about my husband, our dogs and now about myself too. They had tried for about 30 years to get my husband kicked off the property which was in a family trust. It has since been divided and sold until there are 105. ? Some acres left. These relatives have 5 or 6 40 acre sections of the property amongst them and are not satisfied with that…they want it all. They have lied and spread the lies and done anything they could to make life harder for my husband and anyone who's tried to help my husband. We would be happy with a few acres if we owned them and had the say over them. If we could live without being harassed and having our dogs harassed. The place we may be able to move into is into an old mobile home with no electricity or running water. It has been used for storage for about 8 years and over run with mice and rats. The trailer leaks and through the wall you can see daylight from missing siding. Wires run on the inside of the ceiling, the ceiling is falling in. There is no storage space. No real cupboards or closets in the trailer house. We are supposed to be able to buy 35acres that belonged to the uncles over 10 years not get any money when my brother in law sells their moms 35 acres. Our share is supposed to be the down payment on the property. The remainder of what's owed would be able to be paid off over the next 10 years. We don't need to be on your show we just need help! We Need to have a home for us, my mother in law, and our dogs.

  6. Hello, my name is Faliesha and I am asking for some serious help. I bought this house about a year and a half ago to have something to leave my children when I am no longer here. After I purchased the house through a land contract, I found out that this house hasn't been maintained in seven years. We have done a lot to this house but every time I fixed one thing another thing falls apart. My Daughters had a beautiful room until the ceiling started to leak, not only did it leak but it started to fall in so I had to give them my room and I moved upstairs (bad for my knees) then my hot water tanks went out so we had to start boiling water, now my furnace just went out and the man who tried to fix it said it is too old and I need to replace it!!!!!! All I want is for my girls to be comfortable and that will make them and me HAPPY. PLEASE HELP US!!!!!!!!!!

  7. My Family is currently living in a crowded space due to changes in how our family is arranged. My husband and I work hard for everything we have. I am a second grade teacher and he works for a company that makes mowers and atvs. We have 2 children ages 12 and 15. We have recently taken in my niece and 2 nephews, ages 8, 13 and 15 due to some family issues with their parents. Both my children have giving up their bedroom to accommodate their cousins comfort in this terrible situation. My son is in our addition room, which was not made properly and with the cold weather, the room doesn’t stay very warm. My daughter is sleeping on the couch and had pretty much given her room to female cousin.

This was a very unexpected things that has happened, and in allowing the children to move in with us, they were able to stay together, and not be so far from their Mom and Dad/Step Dad when they are able to have supervised visits. I know that you have helped people in the past with needs. We are in need of more space and another bathroom. Right now we have 7 people sharing 1 small bathroom and tub. We have another small bathroom with only a toilet and sink, but the toilet leaks and we have not used it in years. We really could use some home renovations, that right now we can not afford.

Right now we are not receiving any extra income or support to provide for the needs of this second family. As a mother, I want to do anything I can to make my own children comfortable. I feel I have failed them in someway by allowing their cousins to move in with us. AN extra bedroom and bathroom would greatly help us to make everyone more comfortable. It looks like it could be 6 months to a year or longer before these children will be reunited with their parents, if at all. If you could help us in anyway, it would be greatly appreciated!

  9. I watch your show and it is amazing how much you can provide and help those in need. My husband and I really could use the help in so many ways. We have electrical problems with our trailer and fixed it once , but we are out of money to do it again, We are both disabled and I have a disabled son that is still in school as well. The garage is needing a roof and we are unable to repair it at this time. My other son might have to come home with his girlfriend because of not enough money to live on their own and i do not have the room for them in the trailer to come home to and have a bed to sleep on, I dont even own a couch it is just folding chairs in the living room. Please contact me as soon as possible it would be a huge blessing to receive your help for a better place.

  10. My name is Hunter and I am looking to give back to my mother; she is the most hard working woman I know. Year after year my mom busts her butt working overtime that adds up to over fourty hours a week. At one point, she was juggling three jobs to make ends meet. She has worked night shift ever since my sister and I were little so she could be home to get us ready for school. Injury after injury, she still managed to go to work so we would have food on the table. Recently, she had shoulder surgery and was told that she wasn't allowed to lift or do any straneous activity for months. Ignoring her doctors, my mother went into work a couple days after her surgery. Being a nurse requires lifting and moving patients, so you can imagine how hard that was for her. Around Christmas time every year my mom works all the over time she can get to buy my sister and I the gifts we wanted. She is the most amazing mother I could ever ask for, and she is always stressed out about how our house compares to others. Our floors are destroyed, our roof constantly leaks in my room, our windows don't keep the cold air out, and our bathroom is only big enough for one person at a time in a house of four. Not only that, but our appliances have seen better days. I could ask for nothing more than to give my mother the chance to have her dream house. She deserves the best, and I truly hope your team can grant it to her!

  11. Im needing a home makeover …. In…between jobs right now …. just moved into my new place …and yes it could use a make over badly …..Thank you ……

  12. Hi my name is Kim I have a hard working husband with 3 children ages 20, 18 and 15 and a 3 year old dog who was just diagnosed with encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) and he can't climb stairs and neither can my father which makes it very difficult at times. I am asking for a home makeover to make it easier on our family. We cannot afford to do the remodel ourselves as we spent just about our last penny for our dog and helping my father so please please please pick us as your next home makeover.

  14. Hi ty I would like my mother to get a home makeover. She does everything for us and never ask for anything in return. Our grandma moved in with us earlier this year and she is in a small add on room which she seems fine with. My mom bought a house that we have lived in for 11 years knowing it had many problems she took it as is. The plumbing backs up and floods one of the bathrooms. You ask her what she wants for Christmas and she says nothing she has everything she needs. It me my brother his girlfriend her baby my dad and grandma. She is the only one working and does what she can to take care of all of us. Hopefully one day her dream will come true and something will happen for her instead of her doing for everyone else

  15. Hi. I know this is a long shot but it's worth a try. I'm heather a single mother of a beautiful little girl. I have fallen on hard time and had to move in with my boyfriends father…his house was built in the 40s and is a total wreck. This will be one of the WORST homes you have ever seen. It's a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom. He deserves so much better expecially after taking me in. I had to let my daughter live with my mother because I can not let her live here. I just want my baby girl with me. All of ask is that you just do some repairs to the house and help us get back on track so that I can get my daughter back with me and make our lives better. I am literally to the point where I'd rather live in the streets. Please just give us a chance. We won't ask for much.

  16. Hello. My husband and I moved in to a family home after our Aunt passed away. This home has been in the family for many years. After paying minimal rent to our parents, who inherited the house, they signed the house over to us in 2014. We were extremely grateful and blessed for this because we struggled over the years keeping a roof over our family's head; my husband and I have four sons who are now grown. So since we've been living in the home, we've been trying to make improvements to the home on a fixed income. So far we've installed light fixtures and a new kitchen floor. My husband and I are both disabled but we've been doing what can to keep the house livable and presentable. In 2016 my mother-in-law became ill and on May 29, 2016, she passed away. While we are preparing to bury our Mother, the unthinkable happened. An individual, I call him an idiot, killed his landlord and drove the victim's car with the body in it, across town, parked the vehicle in our garage (our garage door was broke and did not close), and set the vehicle on fire with the dead body in it!!!! This was June 2, 2016, four days after we loss our Mother. We were extremely upset!!!! Our garage is destroyed and part of the back of our house is cinged. Because of us being on a fixed income, we had not been able to get home owners insurance started. And in our state we did not qualify for victims of crime money. No one has been able help us get our garage fixed or the siding of our house re-done. To this day we are constantly reminded of that horrific incident that took place four days after our mother passed away. The cost to have it knocked down is completely out of our price range. We're looking at fines from the city if they knock it down which would be more than the cost for us to do it. We've been told there is nothing anyone can do. I'm reaching out to Extreme Makeover because I'm hoping you will see our story and help us in any way with making over our home and ridding us of this constant reminder of death and destruction.

  17. I would like to nominate a family, my family, who is in desperate need of the help from extreme makeover. My mother worked for Ford Motor Company until she suffered an injury and was permanently disabled. Before her disability we adopted into our family our youngest brother Daniel who was born with Spinal Bifida. Daniel had 16 surgeries before he was 4 and was never supposed to live to the age he is today yet alone walk. He truly is a miracle but lives with much pain and many limitations. Currently their home is a 2 story with a bathroom on the 2nd floor. Daniel spends most of his days and nights confined to his room on the 2nd floor due to his disability. He has little control of his bladder and his legs do not work as well due to his condition.
My mother purchased this family home when she received a very small settlement from Ford and only receives State disability since. Her home is not in a safe condition. The windows are very old. The floor boards are unsafe. The bathroom has been remodeled and unfortunately she was taken advantage of by a less then reputable home improvement company. From the bathroom remodel her home has been left in more unsafe condition than before. The bathroom is directly over the kitchen and water will leak through the ceiling. The kitchen ceiling is missing an entire section due to water damage from the what was left from the remodel job. I don't feel it's safe to cook or run appliances in the kitchen with water leaking overhead. My mother tries to save money to have repairs done however it seems as if something more pressing always comes to surface. We have tried to do things ourselves to save money but are by no means qualified for the job. My mother's home is currently taking in mice due to cracks in the foundation and I fear bigger problems are in her near future. Her home shows so many signs of disrepair from the walls to the floors, from electrical to plumbing I fear my mother and brother will be forced out with no where to live.
My brother is primarily wheelchair dependent and my mother uses a cane for assistance. Having to climb the stairs for my mom is wearing her down and not climbing the stairs has been like watching my brother live a life confined to his room. Someone who was not given much hope in life should not have to live a life with such limits. I always felt if he had a room and bathroom on the first floor he would be more involved in holidays or family nights. When he is able to come down to the 1st floor his visits are very brief in fear of having an accident and not making it back up to the bathroom.
My mother has been offered a place in our homes but she is an animal lover. She has taken in abused and abandoned dogs throughout her lifetime at our family home. My mother feels as if her dog's will lose their home if she leaves her home and this is another reason she stays. My mother cares for others of the human and animal kind more than her own safety and welfare.
My mother has provided for her family and worked until she was physically unable. She has instilled in her children a great work ethic and asks of no one. She would never ask for help even when she so desperately needs it. I am asking to please consider my family. Please give help to a woman who has helped even when she has gone without. Her home is in great need. I would be willing to work everyday with the crew doing all that I can day through night and would recruit as many people to assist. Please consider my mom. Thank you

  18. Small town, good people, hard times in Tallassee, Alabama.
My son and his wife wanted to raise their family in a small town, to give them a "feel" for the American traditions; family, community and a certain sweetness that has been lost in larger cities.
He is famous here for being involved in so many things and for performing many varied tasks and jobs to support his family; a quality that I am so proud of (as a parent)
He is the band director of a very successful band program, has a Saturday morning radio show, writes for the local newspaper, worked at a grocery store, and keeps his family involved in church all while being a good father and husband.
His wife provides music lessons at their home, to be AT home and also contribute to the budget.
They have an older home, with good "bones" but is in need of a major makeover– not to be a showplace, but to utilize and improve a real "home place".
They do what they can, and we all pitch in where we can but you can only do so much with paint and patch.
The children are lovely(bias) and are involved in school, band, dance, singing and being good students.
Would you please consider their home as a project for your professional?
It would certainly be educational and entertaining to watch a talented designer, turn an older home into a BETTER home!

  19. Hi. I live in ireland.. not sure if you would consider a show here. I live with my partner and in laws currently. Myself my 2 children from my previous relationship and our daughter. We are living in a 3 bedroom house. It is cramped and. There are mice and my 6 year old is sleeping in a toddler bed which has her near the ground and the mice are getting in through a hole near her head. My other daughter has epilepsy and the stress around the house is not helping control her epilepsy. Myself and my partner are arguing all the time and our family dynamic is falling apart… we both work however at my age I cannot get a mortgage.. we both earn too much to get social housing and not enough to rent due to the extreme rent costs here. We are facing separation of the family due to the health and arguments between us all.
We urgently need help from somewhere we are desperate.
    Yous in desperation
    Adele

  20. Hi, I'm Victoria.
I live with a family that took me in when I had nothing, there house needs so much done to it,there mold and and ceiling falling coming down in one room. I want to help them out like they have helped me. They lost part of there home due to a fire last year and they are having hard time trying to get through it. The lady can't lift anything over her head due to a car wreck last year also, her husband works at his shop but he is a veteran trying to make it by for him and his wife. He has headaches that erases his memory, flash backs at times so he don't have time to work on the house. I have been on my own since 18 and now have 3 kids they have helped me in some many ways, and I want to help them by getting this done for them. Everyone has a story and why they want to give back to a loved one or someone that they care about. Hopefully you will read through all of these even if you can't help all. Thank you for what you do for others that need help, if I don't get picked I will find a way on my own to get there houses fixed for them some how.

  21. my girlfriend lives in a 100yr old home, the only rotted wood is the wood that has been added to the home in the last 20 yrs. ALL the original wood is still able to bend nails,,,,, SHE NEEDS HELP IN THE WORST WAY. tHE HOUSE WAS ROLLED DOWN THE ROAD ON LOGS TO THE SPACE IT OCCUPIES TO THIS DAY

  22. I am writing in great hopes to have my home chosen, for the extreme makeover. I never ask for anything for myself and only for my children.
Three years ago, my children and I obtained a protection against abuse from their father. We have come a long way in recovering from the previous abusive relationship of twenty years. I have since discovered a new world of happiness with my current fiancé and children.
Two years ago, I sustained an injury to my right shoulder working as a Certified Nursing assistant. This injury left me with nerve damage in my right shoulder that is still very painful and weak.
I needed a new career, so I enrolled in a university to obtain an associate’s degree in business administration. I also accepted a full time position at a well-known Credit Operations Center (bank).
My oldest son lives outside of the home with his fiancé and two-year-old daughter.
However, my other two children live at home with my fiancé and I.
My seventeen-year-old has a rare seizure syndrome (Jevons syndrome), Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, asthma, severs syndrome and Asperger’s syndrome. My son has come over some huge hurdles in life, and developing into very nice young man.
My twelve-year-old daughter was diagnosed with asthma, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and under lying medical condition that is yet diagnosed. Many days she cannot even walk due to the extreme pain throughout her whole body. She can be fine at one moment, the very next drop to the floor with pain that leaves her in tears for days.
I have been attending full time college classes, as well as working full time, running to the multiple doctors’ appointments and testing needed to care for my children. Somedays I wonder how I do it!
I pray for my home to be chosen, for this extreme makeover. Our home we reside is not handicap accessible for my daughter. At times my daughter uses a wheelchair when symptomatic. Her bedroom is extremely small, lacks space for crutches. When her symptoms are present she usually sleeps in the living room on our couch.
My daughter misses a lot of school due to her condition and makes it hard at times to juggle my work schedule, school work and appointments.
I believe the extreme make-over would benefit my daughter with more space to get around when symptomatic. Our house was built in nineteen hundred, with one thousand twenty-six square feet, stairs to enter each door, narrow hallway, VERY SMALL bathroom (no room for a shower chair, stand up shower only), VERY SMALL kitchen and my daughter’s bedroom is VERY SMALL. The windows are outdated, floors need fixed, electrical needs updated and the furnace is ancient.

  23. Hi my name is Kristin. I am writing this request for my mom. My mother deserves a new home. She lives in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath house with her husband, 6 year old grandson (whom she is raising) and my 22 year old sister. My mother works at a bank and also works many part time jobs to help her family. The house my mother lives in is falling apart, the home was her late grandmother's house and had minor renovations done to be able to live there. My mother lives to make people happy and would give the shirt off her back for someone in need. Please consider my mom and her family for this home makeover!

  24. Hi my name is Amber. Im from a small town in Fl. I am a stay at home mother and wife. My husband Jacob and I have 3 beautiful children 7,4,1. My husband is such a hard worker to support us and all the bills on one small pay check every week. We and truly living pay check to pay check. We live in a old doible wide trailer tha is barley big enough for all of us. I wouldd really love help and give my kids the environment they deserve and my husband too because he works sooooo hard for pur family. My email is to contact me. Thank you so much and i hope you comsider my family

  25. I am writing because I just recently moved with my 84 year old widowed grandmother. The house she/we live in needs a complete overhaul. The roof is caving in, there's leaks everywhere, the bugs are overwhelming, there's mold in the bathroom, the floors are sinking in,the list goes on and on. The house is just very, very old and poorly put together. I think my grandfather may have built it about 40-45 years ago and I'm sure he did the best he could. My grandmother refuses to leave because her and my grandfather who passed away 7 years ago were married for right at 60 years, they had 5 children one who drowned at the age of 26 which was my father. My grandmother has lost a child, her husband and all of her siblings. She is one of the sweetest and strongest women I know. She was always a homemaker she stayed home and raised all of her children and anyone else's she could help. I grew up watching her cook 3 hot meals every day. She would/will literally give you her very last and not think twice about it. When my father passed away it really took a toll on her health physically but even more so mentally. My grandfather was a Pastor, carpenter and a very good provider. He stepped up and played both roles because there were even times when my grandmother had to be put in a mental facility. She was just so overwhelmed. They didn't have the best but they were never homeless or hungry. When I moved in with my grandmother I thought I would be able to get the house in some type of order, but it is truly more than I can handle. For one I am working a full and part time job trying to make ends meet and I just don't have enough time to do what needs to be done by myself. Now at 84 her health has continued to somewhat deteriorate and the conditions of this house is not helping at all. So please if you can help us we/I would be forever grateful. God Bless You All!

  26. Good morning,

My name is John Sawyer and I'd like to tell you a bit about the Frerich family from Illinois. When I was much younger my brother was born with a hole in his heart and required an immediate transplant. At the time we met other families who were suffering similar misfortunes and came across Alex who needed a transplant as well. It was a challenging time for my parents and her parents. In the end my brother didn't survive his transplant however Alex has thus far and has overcome significant obstacles and surgeries to date.

A few years past Alex decided to move out and live on her own as most teenagers do at some point. However during this time she contracted West Nile virus of all things and was in a coma for an extended amount of time. Alex has been in a wheelchair for years now and it's a huge challenge for her parents to get her around the house let alone to acquire the basic skills she once had. For example tasks such as raising an arm or learning to crawl again have taken years.

They are a great family and I've honestly never met nicer people. They're simply at a point in their lives where they need to sell their home for medical purposes and to assist her with mobility.

I'd like you to take a look at her Facebook page which documents her recent struggles and road to recovery. There are many people in this world who need a helping hand. I'm simply confident that over the 31 years I've been alive that she's the one person I know who's struggled so much to simply survive and if I ever won the lottery her parents who undoubtedly be on my list to give money to. Below is a link to her Facebook page which will give you further insight into her curcumstance. Thank you for your time and consideration.

  27. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

I am seeking for help to get my granny and paw paws house remodeled or fixed up. The house is extremely old and wood is rotting, ceiling is leaking, and just is getting to much for them to hold up. My granny moved into this house whenever it was just a front living room one bedroom and a stove, they didn't even have a bathroom. My paw paw has built on several times. He has built on a bathroom, then their bedroom, a guest room, and a back living room. My granny and my moms dad (who passed away right before my granny gave birth to her, who is the baby of 9) raised 9 children in just a one room half kitchen home before my paw paw (step grandfather) built on to this house before he retired from the coast guard. He is a Vietnam Veteran and is now 78 years old. I really need yalls help getting my grandparents house a home makeover so that they can actually live comfortably and healthy.

  28. This has taken alot for me to ask for help. My name is Allysha I'm 24 years old and I'm a single mom to an amazing little girl names Sophia. I have a story, so does everyone else. Mine is long, emotional, and personal. All of wich led up to my daughter and I being in a house that is quite literally falling apart around us. I've watched the show for years, only dreaming of what you guys do happening to my family….i dont know what to do anymore….i dont know where to turn. Please, from the bottom of my heart and by the grace of God, help me and my little girl.

  29. Ok I have a friend that has had a hard few years and to top it off she just got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. She is 39, Married and has 4 sons . The fourth son is only 4 months old. He was a big surprise. She had a horrible divorce and remarried but her youngest son was 13 and she really didn't plan on having more children but she went to her gyn dr. Because she thought she had cyst because she was trying to loose weight but her stomach would not budge. He thought she had a tumor until the test and ultrasound was positive. They were both shocked because she had an IUD in place. Then he measured her to be 5months pregnant. She honestly had no idea. Then she started having a sharp pain from her ear to the front of her jaw bone and being pregnant she really couldn't take much. Then she couldn't breast feed after the baby was born because of meds for jaw pain. Then she was diagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia and had to take meds that would not allow her to care for her baby. So the Dr wanted to do a brain scan to get her approve for a gamma knife procedure to help with pain but this scan is what diagnosed her with multiple sclerosis. She is buying a small home that needs to be expanded and handicap accessible but she is working 2 jobs to try to get the 3br 1 bath house paid off b4 she can no longer work.6 people are living there. Her husband is working to pay daycare and food. She is a wonderful person and awesome mother she deserves to not be stressed right now with all that she will have to face in the years to come. Please help my friend get ready for her battle with MS.

  30. Hi. My name is Jacquie. I am a 28 year old single latina female who recently purchased my first home. I love the fact of having my own place and somewhere to call mine. My house is 550 sqft and it's from 1920. It needs some serious updates. The kitchen cabinets are uneven and from the 1920s, the tub does not have a shower head, there is no working heater in this house. The owners sprayed this texture all over the walls that I cannot seem to remove! I would love a makeover to my house because I bought it with all my heart.

  31. My name is Katlyn. I live in Huntington, IN. At the beginning of this year my dad, brother, and I lost my mom, at the age of 46. It was very unexpected, and we are still having a very difficult time. We have had to go through many things since she passed and it is just not easy. Over the past couple years my dad has lost his job after working there for 20 years. He has worked a couple jobs that were not so great, and then he got another decent one, but then lost that one after working there for over a year. He has not had any luck with finding a job for the last 4 months, and just recently been offered a position and has worked there for a couple weeks now. We would really like to make changes to our house because it needs a good makeover, but we do not have much money because of my dad losing his jobs, my mom having medical issues for a long time, and then passing of a heart attack. This would be a dream come true to receive this home makeover because I would like to do this to surprise my dad. He works and tries so hard to do everything he can for my brother, himself, and I. It is not easy for him and our house is older and has a lot of history, along with memories. There are many things that need done to this house, but we just do not have any money to do anything to fix it up. Any type of help in doing little things to help fix to make this house a little nicer would be greatly appreciated, and I know that this would be a wonderful surprise for him.
    Thanks!

I am the youngest of four siblings. Both my parents are still together but they are alwasy constantly arguing and talking about splitting up. I am currently pregnant and wish that I had more support. More positive thoughts than negative. It's been super hard to live in a house where we have lived our entire life's. House is falling apart. Evrything is pretty much damaged or can't be used. 35. Greetings from Alabama,
My name is Paige Phillips. I am a teacher at Ider High School in Ider, Alabama. For the past few months, I have had the privilege of helping in our school snack store with a very special lady named Carol Goodridge. Carol is one of the most self-less people I have ever met. She has a heart of gold and would give her last dollar to help one of our students if she had to. She is also a wonderful mother to her 2 children. Back in August, when school started, Carol began showing me pictures of a tiny house her and her husband where building for their 21 year old daughter Lacie. Lacie works at a nearby salon and has always dreamed of tiny house living. The whole family has worked very hard on Lacies tiny house and has invested lots of hard work and money into making her dreams come true. On November 30th 2016 at 12:30 a.m. an EF 3 tornado tore through Lacies tiny house ripping it from its foundation and blowing it 40 feet from where it originally stood. The Goodridge family did not have Insurance on the structure because they were told it had to be 90% complete before they could take out home owners insurance on it. They are all devastated at what has happened. At this point, Lacie is living with her parents and will be stuck paying the loan she had to take out to build her tiny house. It saddens my heart to think about the turmoil that will cause this sweet young hard-working girl. Everything that Lacie has worked for is gone and she is left with this debt that will haunt her for years to come. I am asking you and your show to help this family out if there is anything you can do. This tornado was very sudden and destroyed parts of our sweet little town.

    Thanks,
    Paige Phillips

  36. To whom it may concern,
I am reaching out to help my family. As most American's, their struggling to make ends meet. And my dad has worked as far back as I can remember, and I'm in my twenties now. Recently, my dad had to quit work due to back problems as well as other health issues. My parents live in their home that they've lived in for so many many years. In fact, I grew up in this home. But it's an old home that needs some Major TLC. The house is shifting off it's foundation badly. Throughout the house there's areas in the flooring that bend down toward their basement, causing concern. Their having issues with the piping in the shower, and bathroom sink. And the list goes on. My parents are also taking care of my grandparents, my mothers parents. And their room is extremely small, not a lot of room for their bed, dresser, TV, and papa's oxygen tank. When the house was first built, it was smaller than it is now. But the owner at that time, had added a little to it, giving it a bit more room, but still not enough. Within this past couple years an uncle of mine had to move in as well there, whom has to be taken care of due to his mental state. His room is what is suppose to be a sitting room. Well, a few months before then..my moms sister had to move in as her place had burnt to the ground and had no where else to go. So they opened their home to her as well. The living room as been turned into her room. My parents room has no privacy, as it has 2 main doors. One goes through my uncles room that leads into the kitchen. The other goes outside to their end of the porch. And the only working bathroom is also in my parents room. To say the least, finances are extremely tight, and there's no room in that home..let alone the home is falling apart. For every Thanksgiving & Christmas the family holds a dinner, there's truly no room for anyone. The dining room is small, and there's no room to sit everything. So when everythings said and done, the kitchen table (which is extremely old) lol..is filled up with limited space. A few eat at the table while the rest of us sit outside. I know this may not sound all that much, but if one saw these things, it'd open some eyes. Family is everything to me. They've always been here for me, and I am trying my hardest to do the same, when they truly need it the most. I cannot even begin to explain how desperate I am, nor how bad my family truly needs your help. I know the demand is high, and many are also seeking help. And only God himself knows what will come of this. But please, also keep my family in mind as well. With best regards, S.Stone

  39. Hi,
My husband and I have 3 children and we live in a very small home and all 3 of our kids have to share 1 bedroom together. All 3 of our kids have disabilities. Our oldest son is 19 and he has autism, a birth defect in his eye and head and has trouble seeing. Our daughter will be 14 in January and she has scoliosis and a movement disorder. Our youngest boy just turned 12 and he is non verbal and has Autism. We all just recently found out that he is suffering from CVID which is common variable immunodeficiency. He will need transfusion therapy once a week for the rest of his life. Our house is to small and we cant afford to add on to make it bigger. Also we have black mold in the bathroom and under the stairs and its been very hard trying to get rid of it. It just keeps coming back. My family could really benefit from this. We need your help. Thank you.

  40. Hello, my name is Aaron. I have lived in a 1978 23 foot camper for the last year with my wife, and three kids. We lived in our pickup truck for nine months prior to that and that was so difficult that the old camper seems like a blessing.
Our two sons are disabled, and require a stay at home parent, which is the role I fill. Our daughter struggles to make friends because we always move. My wife works at a local deli, and she enjoys her job there.
We are very limited in what we have as far as options go. Our credit was ruined at college age with student loans and credit cards we couldn't pay back once we had the kids. Our overall monthly income isn't enough to fix our credit and save for a down payment. We feel stuck, and in so many ways we are.
If there's a chance at all, we are praying for it. We do so every day. Our kids need a home, and we will continue trying to move forward regardless of the hurdles.
    -Thank you

  43. This is for my Mom, who deserves the world. For a woman who has put her family before herself her entire life. My mom has taken care of my Dad (who just past away sept. 19 2016) since he started with dementia after his bout with meningitis in 1985. He was never the same after that, but my mom hung tough with him. He later was diagnosed with diabetes and prostate cancer within a year of each other. In my dads "dementia" state, he wanted a divorce from my mom which she allowed him to have. She moved to Arkansas to take care of her sick father. She then helped numerous elderly when they were in need. During this time, my dad was getting worse and my sister and I were taking turns taking care of him. He then decided he wanted to move back in with my mom. My mom took him back solely to help take care of him. When he moved back, Dad convinced mom he loved her and wanted her back. She took him back. She said "he was her one and only".
After that Dads prostate cancer spread through out his entire body. Mom took care of him by herself until she physically couldn't. My sister and I took turns coming to Arkansas to help take care of him so he didn't have to go to a nursing home. He was a veteran so we did have a little help from the VA. In the meantime mom has been diagnosed with possible ALS a debilitating disease.
She has lost the function on her left arm and the rest of her limbs are weak but functions. Bottom line is my Mom has sacrificed for everyone and I would like her last few years to be enjoyed by something she has always wanted…a nice home that is not falling apart. Right now, this house is the house her parents built. It is old and falling apart. I would like to have it fixed up and maybe some handicap things put in to help her live more comfortable. She would like to continue to live without too much help as long as she can. I would love to give my Mom this wish she has. I honestly believe she is an angel in a human body, for I have seen so much sacrifice out of her life. I would so love to see her have something she has always dreamed of.
Thanks for reading…God bless her name is Pat Davis

  48. Hi my name is Marcella Cowart and my family is in desperate need of major home repairs to make our home germ free and handicap accessible for our 14 yr old son. Here is our family's story of what turned our lives around.

First I will introduce you to my family. I have been with my husband Robert for 26 years we have 3 sons Brandon 18, Christopher 14, and Ryan 8. Our story began back in January if 2015 when we lost my Father in Law. So we now live in the home he left us. Then 2 months later I lost my father and then 7 more members of our family passed away. There had been a couple of times that people had tried to break in our home also in the year 2015. So now on Febuary 6, 2016 my husband and oldest son left out to go to college oreintation at Ohio Tech for a couple of days so my husband had taken out our little 25 pistol from the gun cabinet and loaded the clip so I would have protection for myself, my 14 year old,a friend of his and my 8 year old. Then he showed me what I needed to do to load it and then he left. So I put the gun up high in a safe place. Which our older boys always knew where they where in case ever needed and they were taught how to use them. The next day I had to go to the store before dark (due to the fact my sons truck headlights werent working at the time) so I left my 14 yr old, his friend, and my 8 yr old just like I had done many of times before. I was gone for about 15 minutes. When I got home my sons friend came out to the truck and said Marcella Im sorry but Christopher shot his self. I said to the boy thats not funny you dont play jokes like that because them two boys were always playing jokes on me. So I walk into the house and saw my boy laying in the Kitchen floor with a puddle of blood under his head. So thats where our journey started. The gunshot wound went in right above his ear straight through his brain and came out near his ear on the other side. Me and my husband were told 95% chance that he wouldn't survive and if he did survive that he would not be able to do this and that. Well he did survive and everything they told us he wouldnt do he has done. He left PICU a month later headed to Levines Childrens Hospital Rehabilitation center. So we have been in the hospital since Feb and it is now almost December. We are still awaiting discharge and are so ready to be home toghether. Our home is a small FHA home and is in need of major repairs to become large enough to get aro.und in it in a wheelchair.

We have been unable to work since febuary due to the fact that we have been traveling back and forth 4 hrs away to be with him and coming back to be with the other 2 also. So we have also become very broke to during these times and cannot afford everything we need to do. So I am begging you to please consider our family so we can all be together and become full circle againg

  49. Hello my name is Brianna, my uncle, Mike is 54 years old. He went in the airforce and got his right hand caught in a hanger door, and they did not fix it right. He got a 30% disability for his right hand. Then we discovered he has a bone disease, plus RSD (a nerve disease). His bones do not absorb calcium. He now has 13 bad disks. 4 years ago his house got burned down and lost everything he had. We have been fighting social security for 18 years with lawyers and to no of help. I feel my uncle deserves a home, because he can not live on $600 a month and cannot afford one on his own. I would count it a blessing if you could help him in any way.

  50. From the start my mother in law has had it rough. 23 years ago, pregnant and alone. Her boyfriend , and sons father abandoned her for days, months, years at a time. In and out of prison. For the first 3 years of her sons life she worked on getting her life together. She stayed in a homeless shelter for her entire pregnancy , then moved into a low income home while attending school to get her CNA license. She then got her own place working 70 hours a work just to get by. Depending on neighbors to watch after her son when working extra hours. She's been a single mother the entire 23 years, busting her butt to make ends meet day to day. She's still currently working at the same place from 20 years ago making the same pay. While her son and I work on getting our lives together she's doing everything she can to give us and her granddaughter the support she never had. We're all staying in a 2 bedroom home currently with no bath tub, constant electrical issues, as well as bad pipes. Mold in the AC vents.. this house is old and she's deserving of a new one. I can't think of a better more deserving person than her.

  51. Asking for help for the family lake. My grandma died in 2010 during her life she worked very hard she owned houses and then bought this land with a lake and spent her life remodeling the lake before she died she started to build a house, put electrical boxes under the ground and stocked the full of fish. Well she left a will for the land to go to her kids. My aunt is the only one that does not want to sell and the grandkids my aunt lives there now. When grandma died she left mony to pay the taxes on the land every year, but the house that grandma started never got finished only the foundation and they had to cover that with some black stuff. So my aunt is living in a one bedroom cabin with my uncle my cousin his girlfriend their baby girl and her grandson. And on the weekend's my cousins son gets to come home please help my aunt she and the grandkids want to keep the land and the lake grandma put her into it and that's where she is buried the cabin leaks when it rains. I and my family would love to see my grandma's dreams carried out. Please help.

  53. My papa lives in NewYork. He was just diagnosed with multiple myeloma in his hip and the next day he slipped in the driveway and shattered that very same hip. For those of you that don't know what it is: myeloma is cancer that spreads through the blood. This is his second bout of cancer. We are all very worried about him. His home is two stories and very very old. The roof is leaking, the ceiling is bubbling and hanging, there's mold, and it is falling apart. He has to go through chemo so he will have a weak immune system and with his surgery he can't climb the stairs. He has a hard time letting go since his wife passed away over 20 years ago. None of us are well off and the military life took us to the opposite side of the country. We aren't able to help much so I am hoping and praying you could. I am afraid what might happen if he goes back to that house. He is in the hospital right now. I used to binge watch your show with my mom all the time and thought of you Ty and your team today when I was trying to figure out what to do! Please! Please! Please!

  54. My name is Melinda but I go by Mindy.
I am a caregiver for a 40 year old man named Michael. He and his brother Keith have the same condition- familial spastic paraparesis.
Michael was very active until a few years ago when his condition began accelerating more rapidly. He graduated high school, got married and divorced, and worked a full time job.
When he began losing the use of his legs, he was no longer able to manage the steps to his trailer house.
His brother Keith's condition manifested earlier in life and he has been reliant on others for many years and resides in a group home.
Their mother found a house that they could afford to buy and Michael is able to access but Keith has a larger wheelchair and can't get around in the house.
Their mother has repeatedly asked the state of Oklahoma for help with the architectural modifications (arch mods) and been denied.
Michael and Keith want to live in a home together so they can support each other with the lot that they have been given and their mother wants to see her sons get the help they need.
She has sacrificed her life to these boys and is getting older now and is taking care of her husband of 44 years.
Michael and Keith's father was admitted to the hospital with stomach pains and left 10 days later with a large portion of his colon removed, a diagnosis of cancer and a colostomy bag. Last week he was told he also has prostate cancer and will be having another surgery soon.
Please! If you can't help this family, maybe you know someone who can!
    Thank you!

Me and my wife have a total of four children between the both of us, We live in a two bedroom home and i had to claim bankruptcy in January of 2013. My son has his own room but the three girls share one and me and my wife sleep in the basement. I feel stuck wear we are and the kids are suffering for it they are 9,9,11,11 years old and feel like since the surgery i cant get ahead to get a home and the room these kids need. 1300 sq ft house is just too small for all of us. The kids are only getting bigger. I have fought for my kids ever since my ex cheated. With taking off of work to fight her in court over false statements. I love my family and dont want them to suffer because i cant afford the size house they need. I hope you read this and can help. Thank you for your time.

  60. We purchased a home from my mom which her and my dad bought for a rental for my sister when she got divorced. She ended up getting remarried and having two more children. They outgrew the house. It's a small capecod. My dad had passed away and my mom was beside herself being stuck with the house. So to help her out my husband and I bought the house. We fixed it up as best as we could but it needs help and so do we. My mom passed away in 2011. I am disabled and mY HUSBAND WORKS 7 DAYS a week to keep us afloat. We need help fixing this house up. Please help us!

  61. I can't even tell you how excited I am that you are bringing back this show! Our world needs more joy and you're giving it through this program! Thank you. I sure hope to see you in the future!

  62. My Dad worked his whole life to buy a home built in the 1940's. In 2007, he passed away from cancer due to exposure to Agent Orange in the most heavily saturated area of Vietnam. My Mom has MANY health issues, so my husband, my three kids and I moved in to pay bills, take care of my wonderful mom and try to maintain the house my Dad worked so hard for. It is 1000 square feet- 3 bedrooms- 1.5 bathrooms. You can feel a breeze going through the house. Energy efficient it is not! Besides needing another room or two to have space for the 3 growing kids, nothing has been redone since the house was built. I know that plumbing, electrical, insulation- all of it is an issue. I'm afraid it will be Pandora's box of issues that need top be fixed. On top of that- there is something in the house that everyone is allergic too- we think it is the pollens getting in from outside (sounds like a horror movie). I would LOVE to keep this house standing strong- as it has represented just that to all of my family since 1985 when we moved in. For my Mom, My dad, my kids..I would love for this home to be passed down as a legacy of my dad's hard work. He never thought he would own his own home, so it was and is a very big deal. This house will be easy to makeover-just pick a 1×1 piece of it. We NEED help! It would feel like winning the lottery in so many ways to have help with this treasure of a home. Thank you!

  63. Hi I would like to nominate my cousin and her family. Let me tell you a little about them. They are a very sweet loving family with very big hearts. They foster children and love them as their own. They have adopted one of them. They get kids that have been put in terrible conditions. I really truly couldn't think of a better family deserving than this family. Please make there home larger to give them opportunity to bring in more children. They are the only foster parents in their county. God bless

  65. My name is Salina, and I am a married stay at home mom. I am 22, and have an almost 2 year old boy with a boy due in January. I am asking for help to make our 1930's home into a more functional family. My husband works 40+ hours, and I babysit 40+ hours from home. We love our home, but everything is super outdated. The windows don't even close all the way, and in Florida that means hot all the time. I do anything for everyone else, so just this once it'd be nice to have it the other way around. God bless you, whether you can or can't help.

  66. Hi, my name is Felicia Coulter. I found the love of my life two and a half years ago, and in finding him I gained the most wonderful 12 year old daughter and an amazing aunt Phyllis. My husband Jason and I found out that we were going to be blessed with a child in September of 2014. On October 23, 2014 the trailer that aunt Phyllis and and our daughter Nicole lived in cought on fire at 3am while they were sleeping. Everyone got out safe. But we lost everything. There is a two story house on our property also but it is a very old home so we shut it down for the winter. And was going to stay in the trailer for the winter but since it cought on fire. My husband and I had to stay in separate places from our daughter and our aunt Phyllis form October 23, 2014 until August 14, 2015. Aunt Phyllis is 78 years old, she lived on this property fit over 50 years with her late husband. My husband Jason grew up on this property and lived in the house after he became an adult. After the fire we left the property the house started to fall apart and it's been broken into and vandalised. My husband is disabled he was born with a club foot and his knee was twisted to the side of his leg. He had multiple surgeries as a baby and had braces on his legs until he was seven. My husband is on disability and I am a stay at home mother. And aunt Phyllis is on ssd we can't afford to fix the house. As of August 14, 2015 all 5 if us (my husband Jason, aunt Phyllis, our 2 daughter's nicole and Jasmine, and I ) live in a 3 bed room mobal home in stone Crest mobal home park. With all of our bills and ketching up from the fire and raising a teen-ager and a 17 month old we are scrapping by. If you could fix our home we could get our life's back. We can raise our children on our family home. We would be eternally grateful to you. If you blessed us in this huge way you would restore peace and stability back to my family. It would give the greatest peace of mind to all of us.

  67. I am requesting help for my sister. She is 67, physically disabled. Not so that she requires wheel chair or any special equipment. Just so much that she cannot handle the condition that the home she lives as it is. The house is absolutely falling apart around her head. Her daughter 4o-ish and boy friend and two kids one in school the other 18 months old. There is only one tiny bathroom, falling apart. Three very tiny bedrooms everyone is cramped up. No room for clothing, no storage. roof is failing. The oven does not work, the stove does not work, dish washer does not work because of one of the pipes in basement that is broke. Doors and locks rarely work. Washer in a dank basement, so my sister can't get to it. The drain from washer (sink) is always clogged. Then a pipe broke in that room and the wetness caused molds that landed my sister in the hospital just recently with Pneumonia. The babies are sick from it also. All of them in house sick. front porch sinking, and steps breaking up. very dangerous for my sister. Furnace is a little shaky also, makes all kinds of banging noises. My sister does not know I am doing this. It would probably be the only happy moment she has had in her life in a long time. The daughter is bi-polar and much damage and grief from her. My sister has had a lot of surgeries, hips, needs knees. The house is killing her, and I am worried to death over the babies. The house is and old tiny brick rancher. The yard and trees are all uncared for and unsafe also. There is hardly any money coming into the house. They go to the food bank for food and cloths. Please Please Please give them a safe and healthier place to live. I thank you very much for your consideration
